This is the United States Champion. He became my first self. Ladies and gentlemen. The following contest is set for one flaw. Introduced first from Lithuania, he weighs 123 kilos, the Russian nightmare, the kita code.
Now the devil's nightmare. Welcome back to another episode of It's Time to Man Up.
So I have a question for you right out of the gate. Have you ever had a desire? to walk in the footsteps of Jesus.
Well, whether you have or you haven't, you're not going to want to go anywhere. With me today, in studio, no less, is the man of the hour himself, Robbie Dilmore, the Christian car guy. Welcome back. The man-up show. Oh, it's a blast always to be with you, Nikita, and especially you know, in this season where I'm still reflecting on all God did.
Well, I'm excited to talk to you about this today. There's a lot to unpack, I'm sure. And, but for those who don't know, Robbie Dilmore, if you're not familiar with that name, he does a myriad of things here at Truth Radio Network, including hosting the Christian Car Guy, which is not necessarily about selling automobiles as much as helping people get an automobile, right? Or other. needs, right, through the Christian Car guy show.
It's more really about testimonies of how God works through lives, even in the car business, and certainly helping single moms and widows and Families in crisis, yeah. Which over the years, 15, 20 plus years, you've helped many and many single moms and get their car repaired or a battery. I know you've told numerous stories over the years. Yeah, we have the Jesus Labor of Love, which is inside that. It's a ministry inside the Christian Car Guys show.
So it's Jesus Labor of Love. And of course, Kingdom Pursuits is another one that you host. You host these live, right? Typically on Saturday mornings, right? On the Truth Radio Network.
Yeah. And tell our listener real quick, what's Kingdom Pursuits all about? How does God take your passion and use it to build the kingdom?
So that show is interviewing people like yourself that God has put something on their heart, either to write a book or do a movie or teach Sunday school or start man camp. Do something. Just do something. Do anything, but do something, right? That's interesting.
The message that is fresh on my heart currently is how. Will you be remembered? Oh But I'm just going to let the listeners be. I'm going to let them hang right there. That's a good one.
How will you be remembered? The Lord just came. There's a whole story behind how that message came about, but it is very. Thought-provoking by the conclusion of that message. And so, all that to say, but I'm excited.
So, that's a little bit about what Robbie Dilmore does in his spare time. But in his downtime, he took his first, he and his lovely bride, Tammy, yeah, took their very first trip ever to the Holy Land. And I know you're not supposed to get jealous, but I was so jealous when I called him that day and he was on his way to the airport. And I'm like, wait, what? How come I'm not invited?
Really? That's a shame. Yeah. But so, so, man, I don't even know where to start, bro. There's so much to unpack.
I know you and I had. had lunch prior to our show today and um And we're kicking around. You were just sharing some of the different stories. Just just You start you know, to me you know, one one thing is just highlighted about the whole trip that I I really never I don't know. God was just showing me that.
He comes after me, you know. It wasn't so much like I went certain places and I went, okay, I'm going to encounter God here. This is what I'm really looking for. But man, when he comes upon you in Israel, and people say you can't explain it, you can't explain it. Right.
But just to take you in the adventure for a minute, the first encounter like that was we. had gone up. We were on our way actually to Galilee and and staying at the Magdala Hotel, pretty cool, and I'll get into all that. But on our way we stopped at at what's sort of a a fort looking thing called Megeddo. And Megiddo is actually over the valley of Jezreel, which is where Armageddon, and that's where you hear that Megiddo.
You're thinking. you know Armageddon, right? The final battle, right? Right. Is supposed to take place there.
And it's quite a view, isn't it? Oh, yeah, yeah. And you're standing there looking at it. And when I got up there, you stand on this plateau, which is on the top of the fort that you're at. And while you're standing there, You look to your left and there's Mount Carmel.
Right? And Mount Carmel, if if if you might remember, is where The prophet Elijah took on the prophets of Baal, and the fire came down, and you know, they were all. Killed there all the prophets of Baal, all that happened right there on Mount Carmel.
Well, you look, and it's not that far. It's like the crow flies, probably 10 miles away. What the Like, wow, there's the valley that the end of the world's going to happen. And so many battles have happened biblically. And then there's Mount Carmel, and then you look across the way and you go, Oh, Oh, that's Nazareth right there on the top of that hill.
In other words, Jesus looked every day of his life, he looked down into this valley, and he could see that's where. You know, this is going to happen. And he could see Mount Carmel where that happened. And oh, right next to it is Mount Mooa, which is actually where Gideon and the 300, right? That's where the.
They did their thing. And that isn't, again, you're looking at 10 miles to Mount Carmel, maybe 15 miles to Nazareth, maybe another six or seven miles. We're still not even 20 miles away, and you're all that. And then you go, oh, wait a minute, there's not another mile away or two miles from that is Mount Tabor. And you know, Mount Tabor is where Cicera got the old tent peg through the head trick.
Right. Where Deborah, you know, and that whole thing happened right there on Mount Tabor. And then. To the right of that, this is truly amazing, and that is Mount Gilboa. And Mount Gilboa is where Saul was killed and Jonathan.
And you might remember David got so upset about that that he cursed. that mountain. And so when you look when you're standing there looking, And number one, you're just shocked. Like, really? For me, I live, you know, in Western Salem, so I can stand over hanging rock and I can see, oh, there's my house over there, and there's the lake that I swim in, and all these things.
I can just see them right up there.
Well, I'm standing on my ghetto and seeing all. This in plain view. just just miles away, and God just came. And just grab my heart and I could feel.
Some sense of what I was experiencing was what Jesus felt when he looked over that valley of. This is a story. This is his story in progress. In other words, all these things have happened here, but all these things are going to happen here, and all these things are happening here. Because, you know, part of what is going on right now in Israel, as you may know, and if you really follow it, unfortunately, is probably.
Uh uh You know, Satan has a lot of people completely deceived about what's actually going on in Israel. And I can assure you, because I have this red alert app on my phone, that Hezbollah and those people are shooting 15 to 20 missiles into Israel every single day. Every single day they're coming. Nonstop. And every single day, those people are hearing air raid sirens.
Sir, it's going on. And people are getting out of their cars and getting in the street. And Tammy and I went to the bomb shelter one night. Did you really? Oh, yeah.
I took a picture. It's so funny because I felt totally safe. And I would tell anybody, go, man. It'd be a blast. This golden dome thing obviously keeps these out.
Yes. But, you know. They still take you in there.
So we're in this bomb shelter, right? And I want to capture the moment because, you know, like you don't see your wife in a bomb shelter every year. Not on the button. Yeah, that hadn't been on the bucket list, but yes. It wasn't.
But I, you know, I cup around the corner and I've got camera in hand, and she's looking at it, she gives me this look: like, what are you thinking? Like, really? What? Why are you docking? I am terrified.
And she is, you know, honestly. Sure. But she would tell you now that, oh my goodness, you can't experience. It anywhere, and under this current situation where the whole world doesn't know that Israel has every right in the world to be fighting back, these people are shooting deadly missiles at them every day and they're holding their hostages and they've done horrendous things. And obviously, we see it here in the news today.
So, that's in the backdrop of this is not something that. Did happen or is going to happen. This is something that is happening. It's happening. And then, as far as to just pause right there, because that's a lot to unpack, just in and of itself.
You know, what you just described up there at Megiddo is, and as I recall, correct me if I'm wrong.
So, two things: the planes, those planes, I mean, why do I remember, Robbie? I went one time, and I want to go back. I went with the million-dollar man, Ted D.B.I. And our good friend Jason, the three of us went on our own pilgrimage. And I can recall standing up there and literally, I guess, in mind's eye, go, okay, I could see how a full-blown battle would take place in these open plains.
And that strategically, over eons of time, has been a real crossroads, right? As far as like, you know, different countries, you know, kind of owning it, so to speak, or a major thorough. between countries like from Africa, Egypt, all the way up. Right. It was the road to spices, right?
Obviously, all these people needed the spices from the east. In order to do that, you could not come through the desert. You needed to come through where there would be water and whatever. And that was the highway. Yeah, major thoroughfare.
And so Mageddo was essentially a toll booth. I mean, this is where, like, If you're going to come through here, you're going to have to pay the tribute. And so it's been fought over, you know, however many different times. Centuries over multiple different empires and everything else, right? And kings and right, you needed either access or you had to pay for access in order to bring, you know.
Whatever you needed to bring back, so it it is a great sort of marketway. And do I remember correctly? Did they find some up there, find some old scrolls in one of the one of the caves? Not necessarily the Dead Sea scrolls, although maybe I would, but found some old remnants of scrolls and stuff up there? Right, right.
Anytime.
Well, it's really got one of the coolest. You know, a lot of those cities work hard to protect the water source because if you're going to besiege the city, then. You know, you cut off the water, the people won't be in there long. You might have wonderful, you know, high walls and all that other stuff, but if you're sitting there thirsty, you can't stay in there. And so, Megeddo is one of those where they fortify the spring, and the way they bring the water in is through one of those tunnels.
And if you go there, you get a chance to walk through that and see that. And inside of that is where often you find people made. Yeah. Embed things in the stone, which itself is very biblical. Like, you know, it's written in stone, and it ain't going anywhere.
And so it's a way that they could verify that, oh, yeah, well, Solomon did own this at one point in time. And at one point in time, you know, this was taken over by the Turks. And of course, when people would own it, they would inscribe things. And again, in stone, the way that Israel is, is there are so many stones. And there's so much about the idea of the stone the builders rejected that's just all over the place.

Well, yeah, there's just even a whole message that just in that in and of itself, right? And so, and I know you said, you know, kind of one of the first, I wrote down the word overwhelming because there were several places, several things I experienced. You know, you mentioned heading up towards Galilee. I can remember, and I'm guessing you did, sail the Sea of Galilee and just feeling the overwhelming presence of God. And I can't say 100% of the places I went, but in certain places for sure, and I'm guessing you experienced it.
It was really, really cool that when you think about where Nazareth is, as opposed to Galilee, and realize that Jesus is. Opening to ministry, right? He's tempted in the desert down in Judah, and then he comes up back to Come through Nazareth, come through this valley. And when he came through that valley, which is the only way you would walk, because you obviously are not going to walk over the top of the mountains. The very first place there was a synagogue there at Magdalene.
Again, Magdalena is named after Mary Magdalene, and there they did this excavation. Of course, you were at the NRB with me. And about fifteen years ago, the Catholic Church started this. They wanted to build a retreat center there, and when they started to excavate, they found the oldest synagogue. That's of Jesus' time.
The only one that's been revealed inside that synagogue was this thing called the Magdala Stone, which has. All these inscriptions on it, again, back to the idea, one of which is a picture of what the temple curtain, the veil, looked like. And it's the only place in That we know, like here it is. This is what this looked like. And you can tell by the different, you know, here's the menorah, and it's one of the oldest pictures of the menorah, like it would have looked at in Jesus' time, and all this stuff's at this stone.
And so as Jesus would have come through this valley, He would have come right to this synagogue almost first before he ever got to Capernaum, which is just a little ways up the way. And so Fascinatingly, I'd interviewed these people and I knew a lot about Magdalene and Magdala Stone from being at the NRB.
Well, guess where God has us staying the night that we are the second night we're in Israel is at the Magdala Hotel. And so People that know me know I like to get up early and be with Lord, etcetera, etcetera.
So there I am, four o'clock in the morning, and I flip open, I go out there on my balcony, and I've I walk out to the balcony. I'm looking up the valley where Jesus would have walked down, and I'm not kidding you, Nikita, where I'm sitting right now to inside that office, I was that far from the synagogue because the way that the balcony was on the. There it was. And I was sitting there. You almost reach out and touch it.
For our listeners. Again, you get up in the morning to pray, and you get up in the morning to experience God. But there's times where he just comes. And I could do nothing but weep. As I felt Jesus kind of saying They didn't know who I was.
That's where he came. That's where he taught. You know, this is the deal. And what was really beyond cool to me, I guess people that know me know I love wildlife.
So. As the sun begins to come up that morning, like it's probably about six or whatever, The jackals on the mountain, I'd never heard jackals, but they start howling, and they're not unlike coyotes, only they've got a lot more of a whoop, whoop, whoop kind of noise. And I'm hearing. And again, you've got mountains all around you. And here's a jackal over here singing, and then there's one over there singing.
And, you know, across the skyline, as you're listening to this and you're just experiencing something that just is like, you know, you're just in a holy moment because you're sitting at, you're literally sitting at the synagogue where Jesus would have done some of his first teaching. Yeah, and those types of experiences is the way I would phrase it is, it's not just something you experience every day. I mean, that's not, even what you're describing right now for our listeners. And hey, as Robbie unpacks this story of his trip to the Holy Land, I hope that you, to the best of your ability, can try to visualize some of what he's talking about, enough so that it may prompt you to one day to want to go. Remember, I asked at the opening of the show, have you ever thought about walking in the footsteps of Jesus?
And maybe you haven't, but maybe after this conversation today, Day, you're going to add it to your bucket list.
So, so you're out, so you have that morning encounter. Right, and we get up on the bus that morning and we go to Capernaum, which is certainly where Peter lived. The ruins, right? And you've probably seen it. Yep.
And they have. Like Peter's house. Like did Right. And you know as well as I do that it isn't 100 yards from the water. Like this dude was a fisherman.
Like, get me to the water. Yep. Yep. And you can see quickly that I was astonished that... The reason they have these beautiful ruins is because they made everything out of stone.
Uh And You know, you can see exactly what The size of that house was and all those kind of things.
Well, we had this tour guide who was from Russia originally, but also had studied archaeology and also was a messianic Jew.
So he had all sorts of gifts that he shared. And we were with Mark Belitz, who is a phenomenal Hebrew scholar, written lots of books on Shemitah, on blood moons, on God's day timer, and all these kinds of things. And so. I was really, really blessed to be with some extremely knowledgeable people, and he made quite the case for the fact that Jesus. Probably was a stonemason because he was a builder according to the way the Greek is in the New Testament.
And if he was a builder, if Joseph was a builder, then that's a little different. He said there was no wood to speak of in the time of Jesus to be a carpenter, that most of what they were dealing with was stone. And so when you begin to see all these buildings and they were all stones, then all of a sudden you begin to think of the stone the builders rejected and the fact that you're built on the rock, et cetera, et cetera, and you can see that that stuff still is in place. Yeah, and I mean, what's going to my mind right now is like, even, you know, traveling through parts of Europe and looking at and walking through, you know, you know, a thousand year old twelve hundred year old castle. that still looks as pristine today as the day it was built.
1,200 years ago. And so it's not hard to conceive or believe that these structures could still be standing, or at least in some cases, like Capernaum, the remnants of it, the wall, the footings and the remains. And I remember too, Robbie, not to get ahead of your story, but I remember. uh in Jerusalem, and you may have done this, we we will we're It's clear we're going to do a part two here. We're not going to get your whole story done in one show here.
This will intrigue maybe listeners to come back for part two. Is to go underground there in Jerusalem and some of those. blocks Oh yeah. They're like 25, 30, 40 feet long by... 15 feet high and in my mind You know, that they're building that wall, that foundational wall for and I'm like.
One, how they even move it? move something there because they weigh tons. Our guides said, oh, yeah, that's like 12 tons or whatever. And I'm like, How'd they move that one 12 ton rock and then to cut it? Like you're saying, a stone cutter, right?
Yeah, and it was beautiful what they did. And to me, this is fascinating. And when you think about this, it's the stuff that Jesus did, if he was, in fact, a stonemason. Is that they took these chisels, and again, there's so much about stone that we'll talk about throughout this. He would take these chisels, and once they got themselves a good little groove going, they would take a piece of wood and, you know, that's sort of like a.
Yeah, uh I'm trying to think of what the word is. that, you know, that's like a V that they stick into the w Almost kind of a wedge. A wedge, exactly. They would stick a wooden wedge into that groove of dried wood, and then they would soak that wedge in water. And when the water expanded the wedge, it would crack the rock.
It's crazy. Right? And they would crack it in such a way they knew how to do it to where it would crack straight in order to. To quarry out these square stones. And then the genius of it, and they showed us how they did it.
is they actually Mm. wheels that that h held the stone inside.
So they would put like the stone would be in They would encase this stone like in a wheel.
So they rolled these stones, but they were in this wheel. Configuration. Did you see that when you're they showed it two or three different places, and this is how they move these stones around? And again, depending on when Herod moves those great big huge ones that he built the wall out of, they were putting them. In these wheel-like devices, and they rolled these stones into where they wanted to put them.
I mean, the technology and the engineering, right? Right, right. They knew what they were doing.
So they built this. But Tammy and I, you know, my wife's Tammy, if you don't know, and we sat out on, and what he said, and this was. tremendous to me. He quoted the scripture that Jesus said, We're going to the other side.
Well, the Sea of Galilee is only eight miles across, and you know exactly what I'm talking about. Like, when you said we're going to the other side, you could look over there and see. And you can see the caves, you can see the mountain where the caves of the demoniac are. Yeah. Like it's right there.
Yeah. And it's not like, and so when you think about it, Like It's If These guys were out four miles out, which is not that far. Clearly, being able to see land, they're rowing all night trying to get across four miles. I mean, and here comes Jesus walking, and of course. You know, if you think about it, if you were sitting there watching that from the shore, you could have seen the whole deal.
Well, and I remember, and I remember, and I'm guessing you did sail the Sea of Galilee. Yeah, I'm getting to that, yeah.
Okay, because I remember I went up to the what's the front of the ship, the bow of the ship, or whatever it's called. And looking at those Golan Heights, that was one of my overwhelming moments when I kind of teared up because I thought, man, these mountains haven't changed certainly over 2,000 years. They probably look the same as when Jesus and the disciples were sailing back and forth. And I was just. just uh hit me in a moment, just overwhelmed.
Yeah, exactly the same thing. Because shortly thereafter, we went around and you go through this gift shop and for whatever reason, I think they have it set up this way, they sell chauffeurs on that at that gift shop. And so three or four of our guys that were on the trip bought chauffeurs. I've got one. And they're like a horn of a ram that is twisted and right, right, right.
And so these people, we go out on this boat. And we begin to worship. Like, this is a worship boat. This is what this is. This guy is a worship leader, and he's singing in both Hebrew and English, and teaching us how to sing these particular songs in Hebrew.
And we get out there, and he takes us about to where it went down. Mm. Wow. Here we are, right, kind of between but Capernaum and the Golden Heights, and we are praising God, and they're blowing the chauffeur to the love to worship. Yeah, I do.
If you weren't overwhelmed in that worship in the middle of the Sea of Galilee where Jesus literally calmed the storm, I if that doesn't touch your heart, nothing's good. I'm just like, man, we're gonna check you for a pulse, right? Right? I, I, You know, and it's fascinating because, you know, I ask the Lord for a word of the year every year, and my word of the year for this year is worship. Yeah.
And that worship. I do There's just a s a sense of Like, oh my gosh, God, you came for us. Like, this is, it's also real. No real describing it, really. You could try to put it into words, right?
Right. But just the impression and the feeling and that whole experience. And then be able to share that with my wife and share with the other people that were there at the time. And the sound of the chauffeur, which you may know, is the sound we'll all hear when he's coming back, which is pretty exciting because I think when we go to part two, you're going to hear we had rabbis come and speak to us every night there that spoke to the fact that what's going on in Israel. Orthodox Jews, right?
Orthodox Jews know the Torah like the back of their hand, right? Prophecies being fulfilled. And they're looking for the Messiah soon. And they almost had the impression, as we talked about at lunch, that if that's Jesus, so be it. We just want the Messiah to come.
And like, wow.
Well, clearly we are going to go to a part two here because there is so much more to talk to Robbie about. I'm guessing we might hear, I'm going to put him, not go out on a limb here.
Well, maybe I'll go out on a limb. We may hear a little bit about the empty tomb, the Via de la Rosa, the streets of Jerusalem. And by the way, Robbie, I know at lunch we were trying to figure out Masada. And Sada was the last stand where the Romans, before they fully conquered Israel, right? And King Herod's palace up there.
And you know, you talk about stones and stuff. What I remember, the remains of King Herod's palace is all the tile flooring and stuff, which the coloring is like 2,000 years later. Yeah. It's still there. Like, it hasn't faded.
I mean, it's like, how in the world did they do all this shit, right? But it's just, it's pretty mind-blowing.
So, so I don't, hey, you better tune in next week. I'm just saying, or I'm going to come to find you. Just I'm kidding. But Robbie Dilmore, host of the Christian Car Guy, host of Kingdom Pursuits, and so many more things he does here at Truth Radio Network. We're going to come back for part two and we're going to dive deeper into his trip to the Holy Land.
And you're going to want to hear, because he shared a little bit with me at lunch, some of the insight, some of the prophetic insight that these Orthodox Jews shared with these guys each and every night. Is that a little bit of what you're doing? Oh, yeah, absolutely. I'm looking forward to it. And so, all right, so thank you.
