President Biden's handling of the debt ceiling is under scrutiny as he faces pressure to raise the limit to avoid a default. Meanwhile, the Republican primary is heating up with Tim Scott announcing his candidacy, but many question his chances of winning. The NAACP has issued a travel warning for Florida, citing concerns over racism, but the move is seen as a political ploy by some. Wokery and Target are also in the spotlight as the retailer faces backlash for its pro-transgender merchandise and the NAACP's warning is met with skepticism. As the country navigates these complex issues, one thing is clear: the stakes are high and the rhetoric is getting hotter.

Tell them Dana sent you. Mr. President, on the deadline, you said all of our I've done my part. Do you think that if there's a brief, nobody's gonna blame me? Of course no one will blame me.

I know you won't. You'll be saying Biden did a wonderful job. I know you. You read blank lists. That's a false information.

On the merits, based on what I've offered, I would be blameless. On the politics of it, no one would be blameless. And by the way, that's one of the things that some are contemplating. I actually had Well, I gotta be careful here. No, don't be.

Don't be careful. I think there are some. Miaga Republic is in the House. who know the damage that it would do to the economy. And because I am President and President's responsible for everything, Biden would take the blame and that's the one way to make sure Biden's not re-elected.

So he doesn't want to take any responsibility, except it is his responsibility. I mean, it's, I mean, you have what it's been over a month that Republicans passed a. You know, a bill, regardless of whether you like it or not, they passed something on the debt ceiling and it's. still continually Democrats who refuse to come to the table and have any kind of negotiation. And Biden, what did he call a lid last week?

I mean, he called a lid and he was like, out. Welcome to the program. Dana Lash here with you. Good to be here with you this top of this Monday, first hour, top of this hour. And a lot to hit.

Because we had another presidential announcement, which we're going to talk about. We're also going to get into everything with. The debt ceiling Negotiate, well, it's not a negotiation. The dead ceiling fight. Let me put it like this.

the the debt ceiling fight because it's not actually any kind of You know, legit negotiation. And we'll make sure, we're going to dive. Look at Wokerie. We have a whole bunch of stuff back from. graduation chaos.

It was a very, very busy weekend. I need a break after my weekend because it was one graduation after the other. It was very nice. But it's good to be back with you guys and let's get back in the saddle with everything. All right.

So. We're going to get into it. We got the debt ceiling. We got all of this. Biden says he's blameless.

If it's not raised and the default happens, it's not going to be his fault, except it is his fault. I mean, when you're the leader of the party, and I reject what KJP was saying, too, because she was saying, well, you know, he's, you know, this is something that Congress is supposed to be doing.

Well, as part of. You know, being as you know, the president of the United States, you know, part of your whole job is to negotiate and deal with budget and deal with all of these issues. He's not doing it. I think what he's met maybe very briefly with McCarthy once, and that was pretty much. the the totality of it.

Democrats have continued to insist That Republicans are somehow extreme over these issues, which I really don't think that they have been. In fact, I think, I don't even think there should honestly be a negotiation. I don't even know why we're negotiating over the debt ceiling, if I'm being perfectly frank with you, because we have an open border. We've talked about this before. But It was Republicans.

Republicans passed. This bill in the House, they passed. a a debt ceiling, a budget compromise. They've passed this bill. It's been languishing there.

The Senate won't take it into consideration. The Senate won't take any Republican. Senatorial. uh suggestion into consideration.

So, when you have one side that's done, that's brought there, that's what a negotiation is. One side brings there. Request, you bring your requests, and you have discussions to find the middle ground. That's how a negotiation works. Thus far, The party Democrats are not engaging in a single bit of it.

Now, if they were, it'd be like, well, they have at least come to the table, or you've had this senator propose this. No. Nothing. None. There's been nothing.

even for a mansion. 'Cause see, they're all in lockstep when it comes down to it. We're going to talk more about this. Tim Scott just made an announcement for President of the United States, and he raced he has no chance of winning. No, I mean, I don't dislike Tim Scott.

I got a little, my eyebrows went up during some of the BLM stuff because he made some remarks that sounded more of a moderate than they sounded of someone who wants to be a constitutionalist and doesn't want to. I mean, I hope maybe that he's reworded himself on that. But He doesn't have a chance of winning the race. And you have two people coming from. you know, South Carolina coming in.

It's gonna be weird, isn't it?

So, I'm just one. Can I just add, can I ask you a very honest question? Because you guys know how I am, right? You guys know that you're a lovable curmudgeon. I'm just going to ask you point blank.

I don't care where everyone's Loyalties lie.

So is Tim Scott disloyal? For running. No. What who says that?

Well, Bill Trump says that. He everybody's disloyal every only Ron DeSantis, who has not even announced, is disloyal. Everyone else is okay though. I'm really curious about that. Is he disloyal now because he's running?

I'm just wondering, I'm just asking a question. I'm just asking a question.

Now, I will say Trump had a statement. About uh He had a statement out about this. I'm going to pull this up. He tweeted out or put out on his platform: good luck to Senator Tim Scott in entering the Republican presidential primary race. It's rapidly loading up with lots of people, and Tim is a big step up from Rhonda Sanctimonious, who is totally unelectable.

I got opportunity zones done with Tim, a big deal that has been highly successful. Good luck, Tim. That's what he posted. The reason that he says this is because Tim Scott doesn't have a chance in hell of ever challenging Trump on anything. He's not going to get anywhere near in getting a percentage of Republican voters, right?

Nowhere near it.

So it's completely, he's not, Trump is not spending any kind of capital. He's not sharing any kind of limelight with Tim Scott by congratulating him. It just makes him look better. There's no loss for him. He doesn't lose anything.

Nothing. So he's he's celebrating Tim Scott because Tim Scott poses absolutely no challenge to him.

Now, if he posed a challenge to him, then I think Trump's response would be incredibly different. I'm also not going to sit here and I just, you guys know this, I don't go forward in any kind of primary and determine anything by what would Trump like or what wouldn't Trump like or what is going to be loyal to Trump or what isn't loyal to Trump because, by God, we fought a war to not have a monarchy. We fought a war to be able to choose our own elected officials. We fought a war and we lost lots and lots of lives in the founding of this republic so that we can have elections, a democratic process in this republic, and we don't have to bend a knee or pledge fealty to any kind of king, whether it is created in the British system or in our own minds. We don't do this.

I like challenges and I like fights, but I don't like people who get sore when they think that they have to compete. And so far this primary is no competition. There's no competition in this primary so far. You have Nikki Haley, who does not have the backing of conservatives. You have Tim Scott, who made some people suspicious with some of his remarks on BLM, et cetera.

You ha or during that whole time when he was when he was trying to kind of triangulate very In a rudimentary way of putting it, he was trying to triangulate and it wasn't working well.

So I just I just, you know, I think this is, I think it's weird. I just, I don't get into that. And so that being said, there's no primary at this point.

Now, I think that'll change if DeSantis gets in. I don't know if he's, there's all kinds of rumors. He was going to announce last week. He's going to announce this week. Nobody knows what he's going to do except for him and his little circle of people.

And he doesn't have K-Street people. I do know that. And I kept I was, if there's one thing I could say, because I'm always like. I like campaigns that don't have K-Street people, but at the same time, I feel like you need people in your campaign to know where the snakes are. Not that he doesn't, but I think you need one I ha one person.

Who knows, you know, maybe one, just so you can kind of report, you know, keep an eye on the goings-ons. of K Street if you're gonna be at that level. That's really the only thing I have to add. to that aspect because he doesn't have those those same folks involved.

So I'm just We'll s well I mean we'll see how this progresses. But He just doesn't, he doesn't have a shot. Tim Scott doesn't have a shot in Haiti. He's a winning. Nice guy, but I think at this point, it's an audition for VP.

I mean, it's not a think. It's he doesn't have a shot in winning. He's auditioning to be VP. It's not me thinking, it's me calling it. He's auditioning for VP.

I mean, he seems like a nice enough dude. I've never met him personally. I don't know him, but he seems very, you know, seems nice. But This Is more than just of who can win the primary. You know, in some of these races that you have, whether it's a Senate race or a congressional race, depending on how the district is leaning, You have these elections where the primary is the general.

Maybe you've heard me say that before, or maybe you've heard that said before, where the primary is the general. And that is Sky. depending on how Democrats stand and depending on who The Republican nominee is, that's kind of true. If you have, I think Trump is, Trump is competitive with Biden, whereas some others aren't.

Now, if you have a Nikki Haley or Tim Scott in there, I mean, Democrats will destroy them. Biden, so far, and I have a bunch of polls that I've collected over the past several days. He's I I mean b he's competitive with Biden. That's why the media wants him. And so I mean this whole thing.

is really kind of a measure as to not just who Can keep the base, but who's going to be able to convince common sense independents? Because not everybody out there follows this stuff like we do. Right? We're the nerds. And I say that lovingly, but we are.

We're the people who follow all of this stuff. We know exactly what's going on when, you know, what, you know, who's doing what. Not everybody does. And those are the people. And that Republicans have to reach.

Those are the people they have to reach. And you can't really be expecting, you know, I don't get, I don't really get that. I I think that you have a responsibility to keep up with your government, but I also think that government has grown too big and almost impossible to keep up with up with, and that's also our fault and responsibility. But With this. this whole who's going to be able to to appeal to these logical independence.

while maintaining the base. That's what it's gonna that's that's how this is gonna hit. It's just it is weird though with the with the primary. Like I said, it's just so telling me. He'll celebrate every Trump celebrates every person who gets in the race except for the guy who hadn't announced.

I think it's funny.

So we're going to continue watching this. And uh we'll talk about this a little bit more. Also. I saw this piece about John Fetterman over the weekend. Actually, this was yesterday, AP.

Here's the headline. Back in hoodies and gym shorts, Fetterman tackles Senate life after depression.

So do you remember when We When was this? I think this was the day that he came back from his treatment, and he was. He was in the Capitol. And he was getting out of a car, going into the Senate building, and he showed up in shirts and a hoodie. And there's been some Senate business where he has.

been in a suit, but now he's just wearing Shorts, literally shorts in a hoodie all the time now. And that's what this piece at AP is getting to. They said that. before he checked himself into the hospital for clinical depression, they said he walked the halls of the Senate stone faced and dressed in formal suits. These days, he's back to wearing hoodies and gym shorts.

He was known he was known for before he became a senator. And they present this like this is progress. It sounds like whoever was dressing him just gave the hell up. I have some exciting news for those of you who wish that you could be nearer to Hillsdale College.

developing minds, changing hearts. And now, all of the news you would probably miss. It's time for Dana's Quick Five. I gotta tell you guys a story about this weekend. Cain, do not let me forget this because my stepdad.

Tried to buy Budweiser and we almost had a throwdown in a croaker.

So dude, just hold up. All right, so anyway, Anheuser, I can't believe I forgot to share that with you guys. Anheuser-Busch loses its 100% alphabet plus rating over its Bud Light debacle. Who cares? We're gonna give you a rating based on how we decide to have sex with other people.

It's beer. You drink it. That's it! You drink the beer. That's all you do.

It's the largest advocacy group for alphabet rights. They've suspended their equality and inclusion rating. Only repeat. Because they didn't like the handling. Nobody liked it.

So that, you know, I'm just so goofy. Pedophile Jeffrey Epstein had threatened to expose Bill Gates' 2010 affair with a Russian bridge player after Gates refused to participate in a multi-billion dollar quote unquote charitable fund with JPMorgan.

Now, do you remember when his wife announced that she was divorcing him? Remember that?

So, yeah.

So. Melissa Gates said that she was divorcing her husband, she was divorcing Bill Gates, and she just, you know, she hinted at maybe some infidelities or something like that. You know, they didn't really fight it out publicly, but her statement was pretty caustic. And so now this comes out. Apparently, Epstein used his knowledge of Gates's 2010 affair.

He was married to his wife at the time, Melissa Gates. It was this Russian bridge player who, if I'm being honest, is just not attractive. He had an affair with this chick, and Epstein found out and was apparently holding it over his head. And that's a story that came out over the weekend. Very interesting.

I mean, how close do you gotta be with a guy when they find out stuff like that about you, right? I mean, how close do you have to be with a guy for them to find this out? Just saying. Uh also According to the BBC, granddad's grenade killed a U.S. man and injured some teens.

An Indiana man was killed and his two children injured after a hand grenade that they found in their grandfather's belongings exploded, say police. It happened Saturday evening northwest of Indianapolis. Police believe someone pulled the pin on the device. The father was killed. His 14-year-old son and 18-year-old daughter suffered shrapnel wounds.

Both were taken to the hospital. The bomb squad was called at the scene to check if any other explosives were at the house. That's just crazy. They said the majority, the vast majority grenades and other ordinance like this found in private homes are inert, meaning they're drilled out, like the one that we have on our desk. It's drilled out.

And they said that some of these are aging U.S. war veterans. And they said that sometimes there's some unexpected and dangerous souvenirs amongst the belongings. That's sad. It is very sad.

And Hunter Biden flew in a private jet to Arkansas to plead poverty in his child support hearing. That's a real story. Stick with us, Jim Shorts and hoodies. When you see judicial rot running rampant in American companies embracing insanity and wokery, you got to fight back. Starting with the way that we spend our money.

So we have to prepare for the next election so we can get rid of him once and for all. The othering that we have seen by him is not only un-American. President of the NAACP. who they were mad. They've issued a travel warning for Florida saying Surprisingly, there's no mention of gators.

It's weird. Right? I mean, how the there is if you were going to issue a travel warning for Florida, it would be like, uh, watching puddles, y'all, because there's some gators in every little body of water there. Welcome back to the program. Your lovable crewmoj and Dana Lash here.

Listen Coast to Coast, stream the show, Channel 347 DirecTV.

So, this dude, president of the NAACP, says. Talking about this travel advisory that they've extended for Florida, saying the state is openly hostile towards African Americans under Governor DeSantis' administration. They're saying that appare apparently black Americans need to be careful about traveling to Florida. Because They said it was a direct response. To his attempts to erase black history and restrict diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, racist.

programs in Florida schools. They did not want, they thought, and I didn't know that this was something that the NAACP, I guess the NAACP supported. teaching black school kids how same sex individuals have intercourse and graphic. Detail like with the queer theory stuff that they were promoting in schools, that was the thing. I mean Are they aware?

of uh some of the stuff that was being promoted out there. I mean, I can't even show you. We'll get in so much trouble. If we try to show you, we're going to get a call. We'll legit the simulcast, we'll get a call from Drag TV.

Like the DirecTV will call the first and ask why we're showing pornography. And then if I describe it in any detail. I'm gonna get a call from Oh my gosh, how many programming directors? Hundreds of programming directors. across the country.

asking me why they're gonna have to pay a decency fine for the FCC now. That's how bad it is. But hey, you know what? They can teach black school kids that. That was part of the black queer theory that they were promoting as some sort of academics in Florida, which isn't.

Have anything to do with math? I mean, I guess if you're counting like penises, I guess, like here's one, here's two. I mean, I don't know. I mean, I'm just trying to figure out in what way they can justify that and say, wow, this is academic. It's not.

This is weird. They were trying to say that it was hostile. Interestingly enough, black Americans are pretty much where everybody else is on this. That is why you have all these parent groups that are there, they're so threatened from these parent groups because these parent groups. have been Led by black and white, Democrat and Republican families.

who are You know, they, I mean, they understand this stuff, they're upset about what is being taught in classrooms, and they decided to unify on this common purpose and go forth. And that really threatened the group think at these institutions and schools, you know, the teachers' unions, etc. And so that's i for them to to put that out, I think and they're doing this because they're expecting DeSantis to announce. That's you know, the other reason why they're doing this. I mean, if you think about it, no one honestly thinks that DeSantis is racist.

I mean, he's not a racist guy. I mean, this is such a, I think that's, it's racist to falsely accuse someone of such moral. I mean, what's a sin? It's a sin to accuse someone, falsely accuse someone of such a sin. And I think that it has been So abused.

this accusation by the left that it doesn't get any traction anymore. That's the first thing that the Al Sharptons and you know the the the race hustlers of the left say, Oh, well, you disagree with us, so it's racist, this is racist, you disagree, oh, it's racist, that's that's constantly what people are hearing, they're so tired of it. And so they have this formal travel notice that says, Florida is openly hostile towards African Americans, people of color, alphabet individuals. Before traveling to Florida, please understand the state of Florida devalues and marginalizes the contributions, etc. Again, they're doing this because they're expecting him to announce.

this week. You know, I was reading, this is over Florida Voice News. Uh tourism numbers are up for Florida. The unemployment rate is lower than the national rate at 2.6%. And they've seen a record record number of tourists in for the first quarter of 2023.

Almost 38 million. Taurus. And just the first quarter. Highest ever recorded. And they said that overseas travel, according to the governor's office, is perilously close to full recovery since the pandemic.

Everything is up, everything's at a record.

So that seems like that's pretty significant. This is just race baiting misinformation. And shame on these shame on this group for doing this. Everything that's all they do anymore. If you don't disagree with them, it's racist.

They don't actually explore the policies that are promoted by the party that they vote for, lockstep, that actually do more to hurt their community than help. But, you know, when you're power adjacent and you'd rather sell out your community so that you can be adjacent to power, that's, you know, it doesn't mean anything. But you know what's interesting though too is isn't one of the board members hold me pull this up. From what I understand, what's his name? One of the board members, Leon Russell.

I guess is he gonna have to move? 'Cause he lives there. He lives in Florida. Leon Russell lives in Florida. Huh.

So what are what are you going to do if you live there already? The Chairman of the NAACP. lives in Tampa. proudly advertises it on his social media profiles.

So if he if there's I'm confused.

So they so he's on Board with issuing a travel advisory for the state in which he lives? Is he going to move? Where is he going to move to? Oh my gosh, don't tell him about Chicago. Holy cow Don't tell Eon Russell and all of the other members on the board of the NAACP about Chicago.

Did you see, by the way, the number of people shot there over the weekend alone? Whew! And it's incredibly sad. Hmm.

Now A couple of the other things that we've been looking at. I got we got some wookery. We got to talk about this. Did you see this whole thing with the high school runner? This was in Branson School, California.

This is so infuriating. We had a cycling race just recently, and then now we have this Situation with a transgender athlete. a boy who identifies as a girl Who went to f the finals and dislodged a female. athlete from being able to compete. Because He's he took her spot.

He goes by the name of Athena Ryan. He transitioned from male to female. He's been running in the boys' team for Sonoma Academy for just the past, like, what? Year and a half. He's a junior.

He participated in the Varsity 1600 meter finals. And and that's the mile race, by the way. 1600. I I used to run the mile and two mile. He said he dropped 17 seconds on his seasoned best in two weeks.

He was boasting about his new personal best. He finished second in the girls' race. And one female athlete lost a spot. and she was i uh on video giving the thumbs down. And so he gave this interview and he's like, and he looks like a dude.

He g can grow your hair long, you just look like a long-haired dude. I mean, he looks like a guy. And he beat her. He ended up beating this girl, and she was visibly upset. She gave a thumbs down during the metal presentation.

And the Independent Council on Women's Sports posted a video. of the female that he beat giving the thumbs down. And he's, you know, he's just a I I'm just this is shocking to me. It's dis it's it's cost this woman a spot. On They go into state.

She was very unhappy. And It was Adeline Johnson. She was the one who had who was kicked down a spot. And so she gave a thumbs down raise.

So you have a guy who's who's presenting as female, who ends up kicking this and she sh kicking this girl down. That's so, it's sad. And that's not the only thing. I mean, not only you had the cycling, let me pull this out. This is Western Journal.

You had this Uh cycling I don't follow cycling, I'll be honest. But there were two women who took second and third place in a Colorado cycling race. And they took a stand because a man who was claiming to be a woman won first place. Leslie Mumford. He is a man who cosplays as a woman.

He won the 100 mile. Race. beating out thirteen women in his age group, the forty to forty nine age group. And when he went to the winner's podium when they were going to give them their awards or hid their medals. He Was standing alone because the women who won second and third place just didn't show.

And I wouldn't either. To be, if I'm being perfectly honest, would you show up? I wouldn't. Neither the second place Lindsey Crete or third place Michelle Van Sickle explained why they skipped the ceremony, according to the New York Post, who also had a write-up on this. But They I mean, he and this guy was bit he was like, I just don't know why the women wouldn't stand next to me.

He wrote on Instagram, he goes, I have no idea why so many people bailed before the podiums, but they did. I swear I wasn't the only one in my age group. I'm looking at a picture of this dude. Have you seen this, Kane? Because it looks like a dude.

It is a dude because it's, but I mean, he also looks, it's like he doesn't take any effort to not look like a dude. He has dude legs, he's got dude arms, he's built like a dude, he looks like a dude. I mean He's he shaves. 'Cause he's got stubble. There was a non-binary category, but the guys who cosplay as women.

They want to race with the chicks. They want to race as women. They never ever use The non-binary category for this. They prefer to race against the female athletes. This is not going to stop until women Stop competing in races where men are allowed to compete like this.

That's it. I mean, it is misogyny. for a man to call himself a woman. It's misogyny for a man to compete against women. It is misogyny for a man to expect that a woman welcome him to the sisterhood just because he cosplays with cosmetic features.

It's misogynistic and they're enabling this. I wouldn't show up either, would you? I wouldn't show up. Imagine working your whole life and then you're robbed here like this. Summer is almost here, and Good Ranchers wants to give you what you've been craving: a beautiful, tasty steak for the grill.

So that is Nebraska State Senator Michaela Cavanaugh. And she lost her ever-loving mind. That was supposed to be a debate. Did they look like a debate deal? There's supposed to be a debate.

on sex change surgeries for minors. And I guess at one point she just got mad about trying to articulate her dissent with whatever bill and she lost her mind. Her jacket totally doesn't even match her top either. But that's a whole other issue. The.

She gets up to the elector and she just started shouting what you just heard. She also has the pronouns in her bio. Golly. Oh, gosh, please just put a hand over my mouth right now. That's so you know, I have my own pronouns that I would use for her.

But I just Mm-hmm. Why does she think that this is gonna move the needle as we were talking about? I just, that's what I don't get from these people who act like this. When they do stuff like this, that doesn't make me wanna think, that doesn't make me wanna consider your viewpoint. I am just become more, I just become more resolute in mine because you look like you're nuts.

And no one wants to agree with someone who's nuts. or pretends to have them.

So that's just Not going to work with us. You know? We we like we like reason and logic and Things that make sense like that came, right? I mean, those are the things that we like.

So that's uh that's in Nebraska. Can you imagine her representing you? It just began, she just, it just turned into, it was just total chaos. She just, they said it, the whole thing dissolved their Friday morning session. dissolved into chaos.

when she started doing that.

So that's not you're not it's not gonna help and you're not you're not convincing anybody, not at all. All right, so coming up. in our next hour. More entrants in the Republican primary. also Daniel Penny, the marine who saved a whole bunch of people who were being threatened.

by a violent individual on that subway, he speaks out. While the they ca the victim is what they say, Jordan Ely. His uncle says that Penny should never be released and that he'll do it again. This family will not stop going after this guy. But they've said nothing about Their family member punching elderly women in the face or trying to push people onto subway tracks or anything like that, or how he was well known to be violent at that platform.

Nobody's talking about that.

So we will. Also, the latest with Woke Rate.

Now, I got to be real with you, I haven't been in a Target. I haven't had a need to go to a Target in forever. It's been Maybe two years. Since I've been up, and I, it's not that I just have been like actively avoiding them, I just haven't had a reason to go, right. Apparently in that amount of time, things have been a changing in Target.

And I kept seeing some stories, and so I started to look on Instagram, and then I asked a friend of mine. Where are the same? She's a year older than me, but her kids are way younger than mine. And she was like, oh my gosh, girl. You've not been in the Target lately.

She's like, Well, let me tell you. And then I got like 5,000 pages of text. She was explaining to me all like how Target has just changed so much and how, you know, with the way that they advertise the boys and girls and the woker they're pushing.

So we got to have a conversation about this as well because I didn't realize it's been two years since they've been in there.

So we have to have that conversation as well. We got foreign policy, debt ceiling, so much more. Stick with us. Second hour on the way. We have 108,000 cities, villages, towns.

If everyone takes a small portion of the, and if it's coordinated at the border, to ensure that those who are coming here to this country in a lawful manner is actually moved throughout the entire country, it is not a burden on one city. And the numbers need to be clear. We received over 70,000 migrant asylum seekers in our city. 40,000 people. Everyone is an asylum seeker.

I don't care. If this is properly handled at the border level, this issue can be resolved while we finally get Congress, particularly the Republican Party, to deal with a comprehensive immigration program. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

So that's Eric Adams, Mayor of New York, and here's where he's wrong. Number one, not everyone that's coming into the United States is seeking asylum. Number two, not everyone who is claiming to seek asylum even classifies as an asylee. Number three, this is not how the process for seeking asylum even works. And number four, I have a really a much better idea.

How about and I know this is crazy, so hold on to your pants, how about we actually not just allow every Tom, Dick and Harry to sneak across the border or enter the country illegally and we actually demand a legal entry process. Ah! I mean, other countries do it. Why can't we? Welcome back to the program.

Second hour of the show. Dana Lash here with you. You can listen coast to coast. You can also stream the nationally syndicated radio show if you're not listening terrestrially. And you can watch the simulcast of said program.

on YouTube, where there's always good discussion, Facebook, channel three hundred forty seven, Direct T V.

So, I wanted to share with you how a friend made a point over the weekend, because we've been talking about Title 42, all of this stuff, and Eric Adams is up suggesting everyone take some. Or, how about we just tell the countries to keep them where people are coming from? And we demand like an actual, legitimately Legal Uh process and and demand that people respect the nation and follow the laws. A friend made this point over the weekend, and I have to, I'm almost ashamed to say I had not considered this. What is one of the solutions that we've heard from a lot of politicians in terms of dealing with the cartels and freeing up?

further Methods for the United States to deal with cartels. Like one of the Yes, can't you? It's to name them a terrorist organization, right? Right. This is what one of my friends said.

And I honest honest he is this guy I had not thought of this. Classifying cartels They he said cl if you classify cartels as terrorist groups then you could potentially What were we just talking about, these asylum claims? Validate. all these millions of asylum claims. Oh, we're fleeing a terrorist group.

We're a silees because we're fleeing the groups that you you classified as terrorists.

Okay, guys, in my history of radio, there's not uh been a place where I had not examined it, and I'm wow, that's a first. Think about it though. I I don't know that I've ever Jumped on the board of classifying them as terrorist groups. Because I just have yeah I mean I have always I always thought it was something that was that was more than just policy driven, it's a societal thing too. But That is true, though.

If you say that the ter that cartels are terror groups, You legitimize all the asylum claims, do you not? And isn't that what all these hundreds of thousands of people have been trying to claim? That everyone's an asylum, but yet they're not? Huh.

And I'm actually kind of surprised the left hasn't seized on this. If I was the left, I would be getting all of the video, all the video of all of these Republicans out there saying that, oh, we need to classify this as terrorist groups, and then say, yes, we do. And then, because these people are fleeing from terrorist groups, we should also let them use the asylum process. They are. The refugees.

The fact that the left hasn't done this yet Is it Do they know? Wondering. talking about it. I know. Nobody talk about this anymore.

This is the last time we're ever talking about this. But it's true, though. I had not thought of it. If you're going to designate all, because there's what? five or six major cartels north The northern Mexico.

There's a big one, a pretty, the ruthless one that's near Brownsville. And then you have the Sinaloa cartel. Uh I c you have there's a there's a a handful of them. They're all at war with each other. If you designate them as terrorist groups.

Then you're essentially designating all these people fleeing. As Silese and especially after everyone kind of agrees to That You can't cross the border without the cartel, correct? Like you have to have the, it's the cartel. runs the border, they control all the crossings, et cetera.

Well then you're Yeah. that claim by saying that, well, then it's a terrorist group that controls the border.

Well, hmm. Not something that we had considered, Kane.

So Now I think I'm I don't want them to be classified as terrorist groups because of this. I mean, it's true, though. Think of it. It it I mean, that is that's an accurate yeah, that's true.

Well, hmm. Now, Denver has joined a list of Democrat cities to get a busload of illegal entrants from Texas. via the Daily Caller. Greg Abbott Sent a huge bus of illegal entrance. Ah, first to DC, That's what kicked it off.

And then now. Huh.

Another sanctuary city. In Denver. They saw a, they've recently also seen a surge in illegal entrant arrivals, and now there's a another bus came from Texas. And here's what's funny.

Now Who got a lot of criticism? for sending illegal entrants to New York and Maryland and you had DeSantis and Abbott. They were getting a lot of criticism for doing this. People were livid with Ron DeSantis because he sent a bunch of illegal entrants to Martha's Vineyard.

Now, do you all know the political affiliation? You haven't heard of this. I was I went back and looked and it actually goes back to January. What is the political affiliation of the Governor of Colorado? You wanna take a stab at it, Kane?

Oh. Yeah. Jared Police. is a Democrat. He has been bussing illegal entrants from his State to New York City for almost a year now.

I thought that was DeSantis. Yeah. Oh boy, yeah. Yeah, he's been doing this. Let's go back to an article from January.

This is from Daily Caller. Democratic Colorado Governor Jared Police is transporting illegal immigrants to New York City. said Eric Adams Tuesday, via Politico. Adams's offices said that they were informed of the plans on Monday night. And uh they said that they've been transporting Police said that they've been they've been transporting people for months now in an effort to get illegal immigrants.

But here's this is how they put it. We're just trying to get them to their final destinations. We're helping them. Do you believe that? I don't believe that at all.

They are shipping them out. They don't want them in Colorado. And they're trying to act like, well, they're helping them. Get to their final destination. But what's funny is because They you had the media who were interviewing Illegal entrance.

In Texas, when they were getting ready to get on buses and planes to go to New York and Maryland. And they interviewed some in Florida, and they all were saying that that was their final destination, that they were trying to go there.

So, why is it. that that is unacceptable. But when Jared Police does it, it's oh, it's because it's D different. That's right, because Democrat. See, if Democrats are trying to get people out of the way, then they're just helping them get to their final destination.

For all of their talk of compassion, I mean, who could forget calling in the National Guard? Because, what, 50 some odd? Illegal immigrants were sent to Martha's Vineyard. And who wouldn't want to go to Martha's Vineyard, by the way? It's beautiful up there.

Have you seen it? I've never been, but it's beautiful. Photos look great, right? Fresh fish. All kinds of good stuff.

The beautiful foliage and fauna, just saying.

So they that's I think that's what Republicans just need to say from now on. We're just assisting them getting to their final destination here. That's all. That's all that's happening.

Now Uh we've had uh some new entrants in the Republican primary. Tim Scott announced that he was running for President today. I just um I I was Reading some of his speech. His speech when you read it wasn't bad, but I and I made this observation on Twitter a little bit earlier. And that If you're a politician and you don't have a history of giving these, you know, these big rousing speeches and, you know, you.

you don't yell when you're when you're giving your speeches. Don't don't change that. Because then it just looks weird when you get out and do it. You know what I mean? It looks Howard Dean-ish and you don't want to look like Howard Dean.

Nobody wants to look like Howard Dean. I don't want any Republicans to look like Howard Dean. But It does. It just sounds weird. It it sounds weird with that.

Now Trump had posted earlier. Quote, good luck to Senator Tim Scott in entering the Republican presidential primary race. It is rapidly loading up with lots of people, and Tim is a big step up from Ron DeSanctimonius, who is totally unelectable. I got opportunity zones done with Tim, a big deal that has been highly successful. Good luck, Tim.

Mm.

Now Your cane's laughing. Yeah, can I have a question? Ron DeSantis is so unelectable. Why is he worried about him? That's a million dollar question.

I mean, if he's so unelectable, then I'm just curious, then why did he Yeah. Then he's not a threat. I can't square it. I don't know. Is it disloyal that Tim Scott?

is is running. It wasn't disloyal that Nikki Haley was running. It's not disloyal that Tim Scott is running. It's apparently only disloyal. if you can challenge Trump.

And you even think that you're going to run. That's that's the thing. I mean, look, I like competition. I like the good competition. I don't like treating politicians like they are.

kings. Or queens, and we have to sit here and say, Long live the king, or or demonstrate.

some sort of fealty Because that's Anti-American. It's literally antithetical to everything that this republic with our democratic processes stand for. Everything. We don't have a king, we don't have a monarch, we don't have to get permission of other politicians for someone to run. You don't have to pledge loyalty or fealty to anyone.

That is an anti-American sentiment. It is an anti-American ideal. Your politicians. including those who are campaigning for your vote. They're the ones who are supposed to be demonstrating their fealty to you.

Getting this backwards, as I said, and I can't say it enough, is anti-American. You don't have to prove any kind of loyalty to anyone. I sure as hell don't prove my loyalty to anyone who's never proven their loyalty to me, but that's a whole other thing. You don't have to prove your loyalty to anybody. You're the voter.

You're the person with the power. You are the person to whom has been given such a great responsibility. Not the politician. I just think that the only reason Tim Scott doesn't have a shot at winning this. I think he's auditioning to be VP.

I've never met with him. He seems nice, but I'm not sitting here telling you this to be nice. I'm telling you this to be honest. I mean, he just doesn't have a shot at winning. I mean, I think that if he, I think Trump might be looking for him as VP.

I think him and Haley are competing for that. Haley doesn't have a chance at getting that. She's been auditioning for VP from the get-go. I think that Vivek is a stalking horse, and I think that Tim Scott. uh wants to be VP.

And that would be that would be, you know, a pretty that would be a strong ticket. But Trump I at this point, by the polls, Trump can't win the general. And I'm not saying that because I want that or anything else to be true. Whoever is the nominee is the whoever is the non Democrat is the person I'm going to be voting for. I wish that some of these other people out there could say the same.

And now, all of the news you would probably miss. It's time for Dana's Quick Five. No big deal, just 60,000 pounds of an explosive chemical lost during a rail shipment, say officials, a company that was transporting ammonium nitrate. From Wyoming to California, said that the release should pose no risk to the public health or environment if the loss resulted from a leak. 60,000 pounds of a chemical to use both as a fertilizer and an explosive ammonium nitrate.

And it was. It's a plant that was operated by explosives manufacturer Dino Noble or Nobel in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

So, hmm. I'm sure it's just totally fine, right? No worries, no worries at all. U.S. housing market sees the biggest one-year drop in a decade.

The national median existing home price dropped 1.7% in April 2023, the largest year-on-year drop since 2012, according to recent reports. The housing market's instability and uncertain future appeared. Looks like a hot topic. A lot of people have been weighing in this morning. A lot of economists weighing in this morning saying that there's a potential for a big crash.

That I don't like that. That actually could be really bad news for people who were locked into. Houses that are entirely overvalued that have ridiculously high mortgage rates. Remember when a lot of people were selling because they oh, look how much more my house is worth. And then some stupid people who were buying these overvalued homes, they're gonna get slapped from this.

So, that was you gotta listen to people when they say, Now's the new time, not now's the time not to buy, that's the time not to buy. A new AI tool could predict Parkinson's, Parkinson's disease, with 90% accuracy 15 years in advance. It's a new AI tool that's being developed according to a new report. Very interesting indeed. We have a lot more on the way.

Wokery, Target, Self-Defense, and more. To catch up on all the headlines in Crazy Wokery, download the Dana Show podcast and get Dana's perspective on the Dana Show. Thank you, Secretary Bootiges. Wait, what? Secretary who?

Have we been saying first okay, so first off, greetings and salutations, you're totally perplexed cremudgeon here. Uh Dana Lash. Bottom of the second hour. That was President Biden who came out to thank The Secretary of Transportation the former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, Vice Admiral, of the canoe fleet at Camp Whoopitonka. Uh now trans new mom.

Transportation Secretary. Can we just hear it normally? Just play the audio soundbite again and then Steve is going to Use some of his magic so we can make sure that we're pronouncing the Secretary Newman Mayer's name correctly. Go ahead. Thank you, Secretary Burigis.

Okay, so It sounds like the correct way to say the secretary's name is Booty Juice. Let's go ahead. Let's slow this down. Let's do a slow roll, Steve. Thank you.

Say booty jeez. Booty juice. Can we also have it slow forever? Can we just keep that on lock? Juice.

Booty juice. It's correct. One more time. Booty juice. Second booty juice.

Yeah, it's Secretary Booty Juice. That works.

Okay. Secretary Booty Juice, imagine being those kids in school.

So, uh he um He was Getting ready to. It's just this was what, on Friday, late Friday afternoon?

So I can't even. I'm terrified to click on some of the remixes. I just. want to say that but Uh So that's true.

So it's uh Okay, I can't. There's nowhere to go from here. There's just literally nowhere to go. I mean, it's Secretary Booty Juice for the love. I mean, he sounds I I don't know.

He talks like John Fetterman looks. I just don't know. Secretary Pete Booty Juice. There you go. That's it.

That's all you need to know. That's our show, guys. Have a great day. Get back here. All right, so.

Yeah. He just kind of stood to the side. Secretary Booty Juice, just perplexed. Right. just kind of stood to the side, didn't really know exactly.

What to say? And he just didn't Biden came out. They would still rather have Biden come out slurring his way through remarks than have than have Secretary Booty Juice up there saying anything. Because there's what is he gonna talk about?

Well, I've always liked roads and Bridges I drive on roads every day. I mean, what is he gonna say? Booty juice. So you heard it. You heard it.

He sh now he needs a letter jacket, has his name on the back.

So that's President of the United States, everybody. That's the President. President of the United States.

So let's get into a couple of other things. How many of you heard of the story? of uh the city bike Karen? You guys heard about this? City bike Karen.

I do remember that.

So we saw this video, and this is one of the things I hate about the internet. I saw this going around yesterday, too. I saw this last night. People were sharing these screenshots of texts, and they were presenting it as parents who were mad because one of their kids came out as trans. And I'm like, these texts are a Warshock test for the people who are so eager to give hot takes for maybe true, probably not, entirely out of context, screenshots of texts.

So, this was in New York City. There was this woman. Who was I I mean, it the what was the video was like twenty something seconds, right? And she was in her scrubs and it had her New Y New York City Hospital, it had, you know, her the embroidered thing on the on the scrubs. And she was pregnant is pregnant.

And she's on this video. She's got her earbuds in, her hair's pulled back, and she was getting on one of these like rented bikes, a city bike. And On the video, she just left a 12-hour shift, New York City Hospital. And there were a group of people there. Uh I mean, I don't know if they're teenagers, I don't know the exact age of all these people, but there were a group of people there.

And they were trying to say that, oh no, this is our bike, we paid for it. And she said, No, no, no, this is my bike. And they kept going, no, no, no, this is not your bike. And there were five people. She looks, because I know this is super important to the left.

She sh I mean, she's like white or Hispanic and she was like going back and forth with a black male. And They were kind of going back and forth over the spike and she was trying to call for help and Uh the at one point, um, there was a guy who had his hands around her body and the hands on the handlebars, and uh she was saying, You're hurting me, stop. She was reduced to tears. And then Uh She I mean, they had to I mean, she had to take uh, you know, rent another bike to get home. She ended up actually being placed on leave from her job.

She was put on leave by the hospital. She was called racist. and the internet went crazy. You had this one guy, his name is Tariq Nasheed. I don't even know what this guy does, but I do know that he came out with an album one time.

Speaking of booty juice. Speaking of booty juice, called Wash Your A Double Snakes. And that is not a lie. That's literally, he recorded that. Like he he was like, this is a great idea.

Let's go into the studio and put this. Let's record this. Don't Google the image because the image that it's ridiculous.

So he went out and said, oh, she's a suspected white supremacist. Oh my gosh went out just went after this woman went after this woman He said that th they he uh was echoing the the The crowd of other males there saying that she was fake crying and it wasn't real and all of this stuff.

So her reputation is entirely Damaged. Uh she and her husband, I mean if you look on anywhere on Twitter, I mean they went after her. They said they doxed her. They found out her name, her husband's name. They threatened her.

Don't you hide? Like, for instance, they were saying, Don't hide now, bitch. Be as loud and proud as you were when you weaponized your white lady tears and screamed, help. You try to get these young black men killed. All this stuff.

Scream. You know, I mean, they went after her. Uh And Uh oh. Uh oh.

Well, she's had to get a lawyer because she got put on leave from her job for all of this. Bellevue Hospital.

Well Should they had a receipt for the bike? She actually did rent the bike. It was the bike she. had rented It was time stamped. And someone was trying to take it from her.

So she was in the right and it actually was her bike. She's six months pregnant.

So you have a group of men Harassing a six-month pregnant nurse who literally just finished a 12-hour shift at the hospital. And she said that she rented an available bike, paid through it on the app, And as she backed it out to go home, That's when the group of people approached her, the group of men approached her and began harassing her. They originally were pushing her bike with her on it, They were trying to get it to relock and then take it from her.

So They ruined her life. And all of these people who mocked her are the real racists here. This is insane. that they went and tried to ruin this woman's life. from a video that was like, you know, a few seconds long.

When is the media ever going to learn? When will people ever learn? And the sad thing is, is that all the people who led this, not a single person is going to apologize. The five men who surrounded her and were heckling her, those aren't men. I c I mean, I I think that they're a derogatory slang for a female copulatory organ is what I think they are, but They're not men.

And what gets me is: how many people were recording this? And she's going, Can somebody help me? Can someone please help me? They were touching her. They had their hands on her.

She's six months pregnant.

Every and then the internet goes out and tries to ruin her life. Bellevue Hospital actually had to tweet. They tweeted this. Listen to this. They tweeted this on May 16th.

Quote, We are aware of the video involving a health care provider off duty and away from the hospital campus. The incident in the video is disturbing. The provider is currently out on leave and will remain on leave pending a review. As a health system, we are committed to providing an environment for our patients and staff that's free from discrimination of any kind. Shame on this idiotic hospital for doing this.

We are in an era where everyone's an activist and everyone wants to leverage something to get a leg up on somebody else, even to this extent. There was no reason for these guys to target her. I think they're the racists because they targeted this woman. And I don't even know what her race is. I don't know if she's Hispanic or white.

I don't know. Does it matter? You're a group of young men that were targeting her. the young black men that were targeting her. And all these other people standing around recording.

They were trying, I remember the lady that was the bird watcher. whatever. And then she was Her and this guy got into it. Everything turns into this. Everything has to turn into a race or sexist thing.

Because everybody has cameras, this has been a blessing and a curse. It's been great for people who wanted to Gain some accountability for lawmakers, but it has been a curse on society because now every single disagreement is blown up to like a national story level. It is it's embarrassing for the human race. Black or white. It's embarrassing for humans.

It's ridiculous. Like the lady who she was shamed because she called police, and they turned out, it turns out she was a Democrat, Hillary Clinton, Stan, all this. And, um, They went after her. She called the police on this black bird watcher in 2020. And then the guy she called the police on said, Yeah, the mob went too far.

Of course he didn't say anything that they were going too far, just only after the fact. But here you have a pregnant physician's assistant. And there was a particular narrative that the left wanted. And they ran with it and developed it and ruined her life over nothing.

Now, what's going to happen? Do you think that the story of what happened to this lady is going to go as far as the original story? I mean, it's kind of rhetorical. Of course, it's not. But everything comes down, everything, when everything is about race.

And even r regular mild disagreements become national stories. And this is it's shameful. When Is the media When are people going to learn? When are they going to learn? This is like the same thing with the Covington Kids story.

Mm-hmm. Mick Sandman. A little bit of video, and everyone's like, You're the aggressor. And as it turned out, no, they were the innocent kids waiting for their bus to arrive. and they were accosted by a leftist group that were calling them slurs, homosexual slurs.

And then there's Uh Indian activist who has a history of trying to provoke and cause problems. I mean, it happened there. I mean, how many times has this got to happen? That's just it's shameful. It's so it's just shameful.

Now we have to talk about target. Yeah, or the Duke rape case. That's right, Kane. Or the Brett Kavanaugh stuff, or the Clarence Thomas stuff. It's so ridiculous.

Whenever I see these video clips. that pop up. People need to wait first off before they respond to everything. And not every disagreement deserves your response. I get it that we live in a time where everything, not only is everyone an activist, but everyone's a pundit.

And everyone has to give their hot take. There was a great, it was a movie called Vengeance or Revenge. I can't remember. It was one of the guys who was in Office Space. He wrote it, and it was a fantastic movie.

Ashton Kucher was in it, and there was one line when the bad guy is lecturing the protagonist in the story. And he's saying that in order to be seen, you have to have your take. Everybody has to have a take. That is the new being seen. That's the new participating in the society.

You have to give a take. And when you give a take, you have to let people know where on what side you fall because that's where your value is determined. And we have calmed down, yes, vengeance. Thanks, Kane. It's a vengeance.

It's called Vengeance. It's a fantastic movie. I highly encourage it. It's one of the smartest and most well-written movies I've seen in some time with believable dialogue. It's quite good.

But I thought that was such a great line. And it's true. Because that's how everybody measures. We have an overabundance of pundits. We have people who go out and they study politics and then they think that they are God's gift to earth and that they're going to sit here and give a hot take on it.

I can't tell you how many times, how many people on the right I saw promoting, for instance, not just this story originally, but the story that I mentioned yesterday where it was screenshots of texts and it was supposed to be parents rejecting their kid coming out as trans. And it's like, how do you know that this isn't designed to get a reaction from you to start planting the seeds of some sort of narrative going against what you're advocating for? How do you even know that? In this In this quest to be the first with a hot take, I'm so tired of the takes. I'm so tired of it.

And having m I love having more voices rather than fewer, but I wish they were educated. I wish they were patient, and I wish they had the wisdom of being out in a political society more so than racing out into it to make a mark. Man, alive, if there's anything I could tell any kind of grads going into that industry, it would be that. We have a lot more to hit, folks, as we get moving. By the way, I see this.

Without Not ironic, I know the industry I'm in, but I would rather take a hit in popularity than blow smoke up my own backside. And try to be the first out with a hot take that I have to either ignore or walk back later. God's honest truth. It's his life mission to make bad decisions. Yeah.

It's time for Florida man.

So I was dealing with The uh whole issue of Grad Palooza. I've got a little bit busy, Florida, man.

So let's dive into it. All right, so first off, um This is just actually kind of funny. This is WFLA. I don't like this headline immediately. Shark gets out of water.

Bites a man fishing off a dock in the Florida Keys. A dude was attacked by a shark fishing in the keys in Monroe County. 35-year-old victim was on a dock, Summerlin Key. The attack happened about 8 p.m. The shark got out of the water and bit him on his foot.

Now here's where the news story does not deliver. Yeah. The water is the shark's house. How did it leave its house and get to where this dude was on a dock? bit his ankle.

This is the second. Type attack like this in the keys in recent days. Thursday, a 20-year-old got bitten in the lake spearfishing. Woo! Stick with us!

Third hour on the way! The Congressional Budget Office says: if we go the course that President Biden wants us to go today, Three trust funds go insolvent in the next 10 years. Never in the history of America have we ever seen a 10-year window like that.

Social Security, Medicare, and the Highway Trust Fund. Do you know what happens then? They automatically get cut by more than 20%. Mr. President, stop hiding.

Stop traveling somewhere else. America wants an American president focused on American problems, finding American solutions. No, and he's right. That's Kevin McCarthy, House Speaker, calling out the president for dodging. Actual negotiations over the debt ceiling.

Welcome back to the program. Your lovable curmudgeon here, top of this third hour with you this Monday. And Democrats so far. It's weird because at first they were, well, we're not really going to. Let's be cautious in how we deal with this.

There have been some who I don't Who love to abuse everything from whether it's the CDC and rent moratoriums to whatever to try to. And Strong arm Congress into doing what they want by circumventing them with us, you know, these made up. claims like the 14th Amendment option. And this is something that a number of I mean Democrats have actually Rejected. There's been a little bit of an inter-party fight and we talked a little bit about this.

Last week over the debt ceiling, you had House Republicans, they already passed a bill. They already passed a bill, they already sent it to the Senate. Democrats in the Senate don't want to have a conversation about it. Joe Biden hasn't wanted to have a conversation about it. He wants a very inflationary agenda.

He wants major tax hikes, and that's not what he's getting with us. You're getting cuts in spending.

So you have Ed Markey who's saying that, well, the 14th Amendment, he's going to suspend the debt ceiling. You have Elizabeth Warren, the socialists who have no idea. about How what the 14th Amendment is or what powers they have or do not have, including Bernie Sanders, they're the ones pushing him to do this. Even Barack Obama, this was back in 2011, when he was asked about this at a town hall. He was even saying that there was no legal authority to use that as a way to suspend any kind of debt ceiling to, you know, just raise it.

Listen to this. This is flashback audience. The gentleman asked about the 14th Amendment. There is. Uh There's a provision In our Constitution.

That speaks to Making sure that the United States meets its obligations. And there have been some suggestions that. a president could use that language to basically ignore this debt ceiling rule, which is a statutory rule. It's not a constitutional rule. Um I have talked to my lawyers.

They don't uh they they do not Um They are not persuaded that that is a winning argument.

So The challenge for me is to make sure that we do not default. I Okay, this is gonna be weird to say. Mm-mm. Um It's gonna come out so weird. He's right.

Cat. Yeah. With a caveat on that. Lorraine has an excellent write-up over at Chapter and Verse on Substack about whether or not Biden actually can use. Article 14.

to get around Congress. and just raise the debt ceiling. And Democrats are are threatening to do this without even entering A room and sitting down and actually negotiating with Republicans on the bill that passed the House. That's the other thing that gets me. They're not even going to sit down.

They haven't even sat down yet. They're not gonna. Jeannie Yellen was saying that she doesn't even think that there's a way for. this to work. It's not legally legally you can't.

And you're absolutely correct in Lorraine notes too, if Biden decides That this is the route he wants to take. It absolutely, just like the CDC moratorium on rents and lease, all this, it's going to go before. the Supreme Court. But it's an option that really ultimately Democrats can't afford. The debt bill passed.

I mean, I know that it wasn't what everybody wanted, but it passed. At least the house. They also, what is it? The progressives were asking the Treasury to mint a trillion-dollar coin. A trillion-dollar coin.

trillion dollar credit. coin. Let's just print that up and pay the debt. Yellen said thick The Fed's not going to accept that. Valid currency, you morons.

That's not going to work. And this was after As Lorraine noted, there's been a breakdown of talks. that took place just on Friday. No. The Fourteenth Amendment trying to invoke this, and the Fourteenth Amendment.

Specifically, Section 4 says the validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions, bounties for services, and suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States or any state shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in native insurrection or rebellion, blah, blah, blah. Obligated, blah, blah, blah, blah.

So. There's no way that he can. I mean, it doesn't allow for this. This is just dumb. This is just them.

This is just fantasy talk. And of course, you know, you have the socialists out there that are on board with it because they live in a fantasy world. These are the people who think you just print off all kinds of money you want, and that'll be the end of it. This is do something nonsense is what this is. Do something nonsense.

Can you imagine? First off, you would have the. The the Supreme Court would kill this thing. Uh you would have trading partners globally who would reject this. Outright.

There's no way they would accept this. Audio somebody 13 yelling. Even talking about this with the 14th Amendment. I can't believe I'm playing this to prove it. I cannot, but it is what it just go with it.

Oh my gosh.

Well, extraordinary measures is used in a different way, but there has been much discussion. of the 14th Amendment. And as President Biden said, I believe this morning it doesn't seem like something that could be appropriately used in these circumstances, given the legal uncertainty around it and given the tight timeframe we're on.

So my devout hope is that Congress will raise the debt ceiling to pay all of our debts.

So it is an allowance as to how much can be borrowed, but there isn't, it's not a blank check. I mean after That is done, and you blow through it. There is Joe Biden, who lacks the authority. To demand that there be more. I mean, that's not how this works.

Gosh, I I mean I'm just thinking about this. First you would have the Supreme Court that would kill it. Global trading part. I mean this would this would create Uh I mean, what would the interest rates be? the sell-offs that would occur.

I mean, I'm just kind of going through my mind here. I mean, you would have. We all saw the first Republic Bank and the run-ons, the bank runs that happened there, can you imagine? What I mean what this would create? It would downgrade credit ratings.

Yeah, bonds have already taken a hit. Good heavens. By the way, this would also enable Beijing to move. This would allow Beijing to really I mean Yeah. I mean, we our reserve currency would would die in in in terms of status.

And Beijing is ready and just right there with their currency. And they're making so many gains. I mean, there are so many things that would happen with him doing this, with Democrats doing this, which is why they don't have a consensus on it within their own party. We're going to continue to watch this. One of the other big topics I mentioned this a little earlier.

I have not been in a Target in two years.

So, I haven't seen some of the stuff that they've had in there. And it's not because I've actively avoided it, I just. haven't been in there. I haven't needed anything.

Well, they're facing a lot of backlash. First off, they're facing backlash because they had. uh pro transgender movement slogans on t-shirts for kids. They came out with a pride collection. I'm just trying to figure out why we're insisting that our children's clothing promotes how people have sex.

Because that's what it comes down to. That's that's what it is.

So it had, for instance, there was a parent who who went, and then there were gays against groomers, the whole account. Where they were going through Target and saying, What is this? And it had kids' shirts in the kids' section. Trans people will always exist, whatever that is. Uh they have onesies, rainbow onesies.

Uh I mean all kinds of stuff. The I I entirely inappropriate. They have a clothing that has the pronouns. all kinds of stuff.

So they were facing backlash already for that. Because these are messages based on sexual preference.

Well, now there's even more. I don't know if you've seen some of this, it's a little wild. But they've had, what is it? I'm pulling this up. Target came out with Another bunch of merchandise for their alphabet line.

And they Hired a brand out of the UK, this is via Twitchy. And it's uh apparently Some of the apparel that they have. include uh things like quote Satan respects pronouns But yeah. Um uh something uh uh tote bags that say two queer for here. Trans stuff.

And that this is, oh, trans with uh join our gay cult, all kinds of stuff. Gays for Groomers also was posting about this. And this is the st Da it wait, what?

So And like some devil stuff. Like it had a pen of the goat and it said Satan perspects pronouns and all that on there.

So apparently this is the brand that's now working with Target. This brain's working with Target? This is Uh what the hell is going on with Target? What is happening? Like, this is the place that sells like Chip and Joanna Gaines stuff, right?

And um The command strips. Pillows. Laundry detergent, what is going on? That one aisle and target of totally useless stuff that you want in your house because somebody on Instagram had it, right? That that stuff.

Why are we doing this? I'm really curious.

So they have a whole other, what is, oh my gosh. See everybody wants to be an activist. And Everybody, I mean, apparently, Target thinks this is going to appeal to a demographic that has to constantly let you know where they stand. These people are worse than like CrossFitters, where it's like, I CrossFit, I CrossFit, or people who are vegan, I'm vegan, I'm vegan, I eat vegan. It's like now you have the group of people who constantly want to let you know where they are with their political ideology and their activism.

Look at me, how's my t-shirt? I got it at Target, I got it at Target, look at me. Those people all the time 24-7 This is annoying. I mean, are they sell I one thing I don't know in some of the stuff that I'm seeing is whether or not they're actually like selling some of this stuff, like the pins and the devil stuff. I don't know if they're selling it in the Target stores, but they are apparently they are absolutely apparently working with this brand.

I just think I'm going to continue not going to Target. I mean, there's nothing I need there. But the thing about the clothes and the way that they're trying to push some of this stuff into the kids' section really did startle me. And I told you earlier, if you missed this part of the show, I was saying I was talking to a friend of mine. Her kids are younger than mine.

And she was saying that she had gone in. She had to get, she needed to run in a place and needed to get. Uh soccer socks. a new pair for one of her kids, and she was just shocked at some of the stuff that she saw in there. And she was taking some photos and putting some stuff up on Facebook.

And it was, I mean, I was, man, a lot's changed in two years. Two years. Two years. I think I'm going to continue not going in there. Right.

I'm just not going to the target. We have a lot more on the way. Stephen Yates is going to be joining us because G7. It was very interesting. Japan came out smelling like roses, but China, I wonder what what's been done.

He didn't have a lot of expectations, so we're going to see if his expectations, or rather lack thereof, were met. And now, all of the news you would probably miss. It's time for Dana's Quick Five. So China, Beijing is banning. Chinese companies from using Micron chips in critical infrastructure.

This move comes after the U.S. tightened restrictions on semiconductor exports to the country. Their cybersecurity regulator has banned these firms from buying chips from the memory manufacturer Micron Technology. Reuters reports that the Cyberspace Administration of China said they found that the company's product has significant TikTok, sorry, allergies, TikTok, significant security risks to critical Chinese information infrastructure.

So, um, Yeah, I don't know if I'm just saying, I just don't know how I feel about all that. Also, I mentioned this and I ran out of time earlier, but this AI tool that can predict Parkinson's with 90% accuracy 15 years in advance. The AI on this and the development of it. Apparently, they've been doing this for trying to put this in gear for a few years now. It's research that was published in ACS Central Science.

They built AI that can predict it with 90% accuracy 15 years before any clinical diagnosis based on the analysis of chemicals in the blood. And it said that it showed promise for early diagnosis. It also revealed all of the chemicals that were very strongly linked to a correct prediction, also.

So, very, very interesting. Let's see. Couple of here. Scientists accidentally invented an anti-addiction drug. Accidentally.

This comes by way of MSN. They said that it's the stuff. I'm not even gonna try saying this. Smugglatude. That it sounds right.

Yeah, that sounds right. University of North Carolina Chapel Hill School of Medicine. Apparently, it's like very specific treatments, but Looks like that was accidentally done. Stephen Yates coming up next. Whether you just want to stay informed or just hear her vent about all the ridiculousness in the world, make sure to download the Dana Show podcast wherever you get your podcasts.

I've spoken at length with President Loon of South Korea. He came to Washington of late.

Well, I think we found the reason why Joe Biden decided to leave early, and it wasn't to negotiate. air quotes for the debt ceiling, which never happened. I think it was maybe because of that. President Loon. That's not the wrong person, dude.

Not no. Welcome back to the program. Dana Lash here with you. Bottom of this third hour. I brought him all.

I wanted to get his thoughts on G7 because we were kind of joking. He has zero expectations, and I wanted to find out whether or not those were met. But I had to get his response to. That sound bite, that was one of Many fun ones from Joe Biden today. Our very good friend Steve Yates, who is so gracious to be on with us most Mondays.

He is the senior fellow at America First Policy Institute and also the chair of the China Policy Initiative. You can follow him on Twitter at YatesComs. My friend, I just, just your little. You you smiled ever so snidely when we played that for you and mentioned that on break. Ha ha ha.

Oh my.

Well, yes, I did have expectations that were less than zero, and I think they were met. Ha ha ha ha ha. The usual gathering of Gs, and everyone gets together and pretends that we're all in agreement here. The President went really overboard on saying that everyone is so unified on standing up to China. Oh, you mean the way they're unified on standing up to Russia while still doing deals with Russia?

Well, it turns out they're just the same in standing up to China while still doing deals with China. And so there was that sort of pretense that we knew going in. And the Chinese knew it well enough that they issued their response like a day before the G7 issued their communique. And so it all worked perfectly for China. on that, but my goodness, we have a president.

Who misidentifies his counterparts by name? He goes fluidly from millions to billions to trillions as if those are the same things. They're not. And he claims to have balanced a budget all while doing this stuff, maybe walking backwards and saying the alphabet backwards. I don't know.

But it's an amazing skill to make this much up in such a short period of time. One of the things, and we're talking with our friend Stephen Yates, is that I noticed this. There's a really interesting piece in Wall Street Journal about Japan basks in newfound appeal to companies. Is it really newfound or have they just, I feel like Japan has made more of an effort to try to bring, they've had this long, I guess, since lockdown, this long plan to try to bring as much manufacturing back as possible to kind of decouple, as it were, from China. And I mean, is it more of a testament to them making more of an effort?

Because it's not, you know, new. I mean, we've been working with Japan for quite a long time. Yeah, the Japanese leadership has been increasingly rational. That's something that's admirable. And they basically do more than they say, which is, I think, also an admirable quality.

But these days, what they're doing should matter to a lot of Americans. Maybe Americans would be jealous that the Japanese have a government that actually pays incentives for companies to bring manufacturing back to their country or at least diversify away from a country that wants to kill them. And so it's a novel concept. The Japanese are practicing it. They need to do more.

They're still very dependent on China in too many ways. But setting an example for what we should be doing, but you touch on an issue that is another one of my pet peeves. And I know you don't like my pet peeves very much. I love them though. But when we have the authors of The Pivot to Asia who spun that yarn during the Obama-Clinton times, they never pivoted.

Now they want to play another word game, but we're not decoupling. We're de-risking. And the first thing the Chinese do is decouple from micron semiconductor. We had that as our headline right before you joined us. A flippin break about this, oh, our magic words are better than your magic words.

And the Chinese sit back and say, ah, I think we're doing just fine. Yeah, exactly. And they did. I thought that was interesting. They said that, well, you know, the Micron produced, that's a threat to Chinese national security.

And then I had a bunch of TikTok sneezes because that's what it sounds like when you sneeze in Texas. I was just, you know, that I. To that point, one of the well, related, one of the things I thought was interesting when I was looking through some of the photos that have been taken, all of a sudden Vladimir Zelensky pops up. He was there at G7. That's a new development.

So clearly. They were trying to send a message to China and Russia with his invitation. Yeah, they were trying. I don't know how much his messaging is working. I mean, I think Zelensky has been very, very successful in sort of standing up with people.

I mean, it's almost entertaining, in my view, that he considers it a blessing for people to be able to have time with him. And so. Usually, we feel blessed if others who give us generous amounts of aid will take our time. But he graces everyone with his presence. Good for him.

Yeah. He showed up in his t-shirt. Yeah. Well, that's still better than the junior senator from Pennsylvania. I just got to say, like, every time I see him, and I get it because I see people arguing about this on social media, and they're like, he's coming from a war zone, Danny, you're so mean.

But he dresses like Tactabro all the time. Yeah. Yes, and no one at the G7 wants any tactical. I mean, this was all suits and pinky extended tea time. This is not.

A time to talk about combat because we're we're gonna make the world peaceful because everything's okay. Diplomacy's gonna work. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Well, one of the they said that they're gonna crack down on inappropriate transfers of tech, but yet As much as they talked about the concerns that they have with China, I was looking at this headline that I had.

Biden says that he sees a shift in ties with China shortly. It's a G7 takes a stand against economic coercion. No one actually cut the cord.

Well, the only one that's even coming close is Japan, the host. And they've still got a ways to go, but the major European participants in the G seven are the ones that have undermined deterrence against Russia. And Macron made a mockery of himself. And if you want to pretend like you've got consensus with him, then you pretend that you have a policy for dealing with China. And so I think that's basically where our government is.

They're playing word games. This is basically President Biden taking word salad global and just sort of saying stuff over and over as if it's going to be true. It's an old Marxist trick. I think it works better for the... Marxists in China than it does for those in the United States.

Yeah. And speaking of that, I want to bring this up here because the, again, Wall Street Journal piece, very interesting. China's Xi Jinping mimicking Mao's crisis response in this indoctrination drive. This is crazy. The subhead, spiritual baptism campaign comes as Chinese leader sustains damage from pandemic, economy, U.S.

tensions. And he has. He's taken some, he's taken, if one can. In a very controlling, commie political environment like China, if one can take a hit, he has taken a hit. But now they're trying, his crisis response is to adopt Maoism, his techniques.

Tell me about this, because spiritual baptism campaign.

Well, you know, it's always funny when atheists talk about spiritualism. And so here we've got the top commie atheist talking about a spiritual campaign. You can be pretty sure it's followed by a whole lot of political applesauce. And so he's going to, he's basically, it's more indoctrination and control. He was clever enough to basically either kill, imprison, or attack with corruption charges any rival to him so that if he's going to weather any kind of a political storm, there isn't anybody really ready in the wings to take his spot.

So he's very bulletproof at the moment. When it comes to domestic challenges, they, of course, have the most advanced surveillance state ever known to man, so no one's sneaking up on him domestically.

So it's really sad for the Chinese people, but all the more reason. for alleged real world leaders to speak clearly about human rights. Why didn't, say, the representative to the United Kingdom speak about a British citizen who's a political prisoner in Hong Kong right now? Why don't these things ever seem to come up? And we don't even speak the truth about China suffering with a demographic challenge.

With other problems going on in their economy, we just assume it's all smooth sailing for them.

So it's not a serious approach to China by our leaders, sadly. But she is very determined to engage in conflict. I hope it's not war, but he's definitely aiming to take us down a notch and he's laughing his way to the bank right now. It would have made more, to your point, talking with our friend Stephen Yates. I think it would have made a bigger point to have Jimmy Lai's son there attending or as a guest, bring him as a guest and make that have him include him in the photos.

That, to me, I think would have sent a way stronger message to China than what they did. That we did things like that in the Cold War. People are allergic to calling this a new Cold War, but they've declared it against us, and we should be responding appropriately. And yes, that kind of symbolism-I mean, this is that's really his son.

So it'd still be telling the truth. We used to have leaders that would do stuff like that. That's so sad that we don't. Our friend Stephen Yates at YatesComs on Twitter. My friend, always good to see you.

Thank you so much for diving in on this. Appreciate it. Thank you, Dana. Take care. And uh of course, I'm gonna put this uh some of these links in your uh email prep as well with Substack because uh very, very, very good stuff in here.

And I keep seeing, like because we were talking about uh the target stuff a little earlier, I keep seeing some of the most horrendous photos From target merchandise with the Wokery. I mean it's it does Eh Why? Explain to me. Why we have to have Tucking. Swimsuits.

being sold to kids. and target. And I'm not making this up. It says it. legit on the tag.

Uh and I g oh gosh, this is just A target. at Target of all places. The chest constrictors, the tucking swimsuit, and it absolutely says that. Uh, on the tag, it's not like people aren't making it up, it's not like the extra gusset that's in the crotch of you know, female swimsuits or uh underwear, it's it actually says it on the tag and it shows you. like instructionally.

kind of where it is. That's just Yeah. That to me seems way Not I'm not saying that what Bud Lake did was good. But this seems like way much more worse. Speaking of which, by the way, so we had Graduation Palooza.

Over the weekend my oldest son or not my oldest son, my youngest son graduated from high school. Graduated with honors, got scholar's diploma, all this other stuff. Got scholarships, and that he's he's gonna probably be who knows what he's gonna do. If AI attacks the world, then he'll probably be on the front lines, like unleashing a virus on it at some point, I'm sure. But dr we had everybody in, you know, the family in for Graduation.

No, my family, my folks are from St. Louis. You know, Kane and I are both from St. Louis. My folks are from St.

Louis. So he doesn't drink Bud Light, but he's like, well, Budweiser is different. Like it's the same thing. It's the same thing.

So he wanted to get, because I only had Shiner. I'm like, uh-uh-uh. We have Shiner in this house. This is a Shiner household. That's it.

And he wanted to bring Budweiser, the Budweiser into my. And I don't normally do. like the boycott and all that stuff. And interestingly enough, I had a funny Like when I first got married and I went down. The first time after I was married to my family's, my grandparents' house in those arcs, and I went to uh, I brought, what did I think?

I think I brought some Schlafly beer or something like that, some craft beer. And my uncles were like, Why are y'all bringing this non-union swill in this house? Um, so I left it on the porch. It couldn't, the bottles could not associate with the other union bottles. Uh, but I felt like that.

I felt like it came full circle because I was like, I'm not going to have this Budweiser in my fridge. I'm not going to have these bottles. Near my shiner bottles. My shiner bottles might beat them up. I don't know what's going to happen.

Anyway, long-that was it. That's all I had to share about it. I just had. And I was like, I'm not having this in my house. That's that's it.

That's all I had. Between Twitter, Facebook, or any of your social media, there's a lot of information out there. That's why your lovable curromudgeon is here to help you make sense of it all, live or on demand. The Dana Show. Make sure you sign up for chapter and verse over at Substack because I'm going to have a couple of pieces.

One of them is very interesting that I'm holding over right now.

So Tim Scott. He's fifty seven years old and I did not know he wasn't married. Is that important to you?

Now We were talking about James Buchanan apparently was the only president who wasn't married. And Steve is like, well, you know why, right? And I'm like, no, I don't know why. 'Cause I look at him and now please do not I'm not trying to be like uh say this as a pejorative. The first photo I looked at, I was like, that does not look like a gay dude.

He does not look. He looks unkempt and slovenly. And then the second picture, I thought, oh, well, it looks a little dandy there.

So maybe, maybe. His hair's all coiffed up. Maybe, you know, it's like he just looks like he straightened his clothes up. But Steve is like this 'cause he's gay his rumor was he was gay. But he was the eligible bachelor all his life.

I don't know. He was kind of blamed for starting the Civil War for being kind of a pacifist or passive, wasn't he? Anyway. Um but I don't know. Like, I hadn't really thought of it.

I don't think we've ever been faced with that as a question. in recent times. You know, if you're a bachelor. My concern about having a single dude in the White House Is Does that make the president? Does it open up another way?

to maybe compromise them. Right. Oh, sure. Is there a way in which, I mean, there's if you're the President of the United States and you meet a lady, how do you know that that lady likes you for you? and not, you know.

'Cause you're the president of the United States, right? If you're romantically interested in somebody, Whether you're a man or a woman. I just How do you know that that person you know what I mean? Like, you're the you're you're in the most powerful seat. in the country.

Would, I mean, this is all speculation because I don't think that he has a chance ever of winning. I do think there are a lot of people who won't admit that they have a problem with that. It's a concern for me. It is. I think there are a lot of people who will not admit that they have an issue with it.

I really do.

So I know I wouldn't trust a single poll. that came out about it. But I'm just saying, you know. All right.

Uh, today's stupidity came. We'll talk more about that tomorrow. All right, it is our President Biden, who on his international trip calls.

South Korean leader. Yoon. Listen to this. I've spoken at length with President Loon of South Korea. He came to Washington of late.

It's Yoon. But he says Loon. Not sure what's so bad. It's going to play well internationally. Yeah, it's not.

It's Eon, which is very different from Loon. Thank you. Thank you for more content, President Biden. Yeah, oh, as always, we get the, you know, we just really have the best nights. We really do.

I will be on Jesse Waters' program 6 p.m. Central Hour. We're still kind of determining the topic it could be about. NAACP and DeSantis. It could be about Target.

We don't know, but we'll find out. And make sure you sign up for Substack, Chapter Inverse, YouTube, Facebook, like and subscribe. Have a great night. Back with you tomorrow.
