So not a whole heck of a lot has changed. Our dominance remains the same there. And you heard Scott Besson explain. Just there, how successful we have been. We've also had sanctions.
New sanctions on the Cuban regime that were passed. I think everybody was freaking out when they saw that tweet from Trump. Did you see that tweet from Trump over the weekend, Kane, where it was like, he was saying, Oh well um yeah, we'll just take over Cuba. We'll take over Cuba. I mean Sure order.
Yeah, I mean I really don't want to take over Cuba, but At the same time, I would like to visit one day. I think that would be nice just to visit. We uh are in this We're going to dive into all of the latest. And we also have Stephen Yates, who is going to be coming up later as well. He's going to be on in our third hour.
And uh we'll be talking to him. We're also going to get into some of The domestic with the White House and then some election stuff. We had a lot of municipal elections over the weekend, and apparently, Republican turnout was desperately low. And that is that's it's It's so bad that it actually cost us a whole school board. I think this was there was Grapevine Collyville.
There were a couple of other places as well. And uh it had to do with apathy. It had to do with apathy. The turnout was abysmal. I think it was like 13% turnout in one of these areas.
I mean It was pretty low.
So, we're going to explore some of that because it doesn't matter. Really, I've always said that I think it's not really Democrats that are the biggest threat to Republicans. It's Republican apathy that's the biggest threat to Republicans. There was a mayoral shit that was also lost. Because of low voter turnout.
So we're going to dive into that as well. And then, of course, the big spirit airline sale. It is pretty crazy the way that Democrats have been trying to say it's all Trump's fault because everything's Trump's fault. You know, nothing ever happened before Trump took office. I mean, it was just a barren planet.
And then that was kind of it. It was a barren planet.
So It is This is getting you set up ahead of this Mother's Day weekend. All right, so. Coming up into this, I'm pulling up a couple of things. We talked about the Cuban regimes, the sanctions that were coming against that. We also were discussing the situation with Iran.
I don't think there's going to be permanent damage. What does that even mean? Permanent damage. Nobody even knows what that means. It's going to be permanent damage if you don't let us.
Well, there's going to be permanent damage if you don't just stop attacking people. There's also that. I mean, if you would stop to consider it for a minute. Um but The I think the overall goal remains the same. The overall goal remains the same.
Now, CINTCOM had also, I'm going to pull up a couple of other things here for you. CINTCOM had also. Given an update about the Strait of Hormuz, which it's called Project Freedom. I love how they call it a humanitarian gesture because it very much is. CENTCOM said they're going to support Project Freedom to restore freedom of navigation for commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, et cetera, et cetera.
So they're helping. Although CINTCOM is saying, and this was Iranian propaganda, they were trying to say that the regime was able to successfully hit a U.S. vessel over the weekend. That didn't happen. That's all just absolute propaganda.
I think people need to realize that the whole issue with propaganda with Iran and how it's. I see too many, especially a lot of the woke Reich. I see too many. That Just run with it. without any kind of Any kind of validation, any kind of verification, anything like that.
So that was all. That was just propaganda. But We'll see. We'll get into all of it. Also.
I know there's a lot of weird all-ins and stuff to set you up with. The issue of Islamification, which we're going to dive into, because in Texas, there's a city-owned water park that apparently is. Uh, making it closed to, they're having an event, it's the uh Eid weekend or something, and they're it's a taxpayer-funded water park. And it's in Grand Prairie.
So it was a bond issue. You also have taxpayers that support it. And apparently, they're having, it's a third annual, so they've done this three times before, they're having their third annual EID. Whatever celebration, and on the mailers and on all of the promotional materials, it reportedly says Muslims only.
So. Which you can't do, and I don't think that people understand this on social media.
Someone was saying, Well, Dana, you know, they can rent them out for private events, but you don't understand. You can rent it out for a private event, but it's still taxpayer-funded. And that's the establishment clause, that's the equal protection clause. There's literal case law on this. By the way, who disagrees with me that if this were to be booked, say, for a Christian event and it said Christians only, that there wouldn't be riots in the streets over this?
You know, there would be. You absolutely know there would be.
So this is part. I mean, it's the Islamification of America. This is what's coming. Yeah, I think you made a very good point, Kane. You said, well, this is them trying to blur those lines.
Too many people were arguing that.
Well, you know, I agree, but you can rent it out for a private event. That's irrelevant, it's owned by the city.
Now, if it was a privately owned entity, that's one thing. You would be completely correct. But it's owned by the c the the the city of Graham Prairie. and it's taxpayer funded. Meaning they still fund it.
And in fact, as a concession for funding it with tax dollars, they, the people who live in Grand Prairie, get a discount going there.
So you can't just say, oh, well, it's owned by the city. Again, there's case law on this. And apparently this is the third time they've done it. How do you do it for third for three times and now we're only just now hearing about it? That's weird.
We're only just now hearing about it. Just saying, it's very odd. But There have been people making objections and now I think the independent press is turned on to it.
So we're going to see how that goes and see what the city of Grand Prairie has to say. I just don't know. I mean, what is they said, modest dress? I mean, you're at a water park. I mean, that's not to say that you don't run around and, you know, you don't run around in a string bikini, but still, what does modest dress mean?
Because even a swimsuit, according to Sharia, is considered. Haram. That's why Under Sharia, they walk out wearing the full-on burkas, which I don't even know how you can swim in something like that. I think that's the point. You don't.
But still. It's And apparently it was so successful before that they're doing it, they've done it. This is the third time, like we've said. Hand it out. I, if well, you want to know if they shower before they decide to get in?
I don't know. Yeah. I don't know if they swim either. They have a prayer area. They're putting up a prayer area there, too.
I mean, I care about public spaces. Yeah. Okay, just generally throw that out. I care about public spaces. It's a thing.
I do. I do care about it, you know. Yeah. I might care about those public spaces. I get it.
Yeah. So I don't know. Again, I don't even know how they can get how anybody could get away with something like this, but we'll explore it more. We will explore it more. Did you guys see, by the way, Marco review of DJing over the weekend?

Marco Rubio doesn't care whether or not you like his set. He's here in one track in that one ear, and then he's here in the monitor. Obviously, everyone else is here in another ear, and he's doing the mix. Look at that. DJ Fun Uncle, does he seem like a very serious DJ?

Well, we had good jobs numbers that came in, but now it says this from CBS: more Americans are quitting their U.S. jobs to work abroad. They want greener and less office-bound pastures. I think COVID really did a number on people. Over the last five years, they say the share of employees who have left their jobs in the United States to work abroad has more than doubled, climbing from 2.7 at the end of 21 to all the way to 6%.
By the end of 2025. And the data includes both US and foreign-born workers, encompassing those employed by a non-US company, as well as those working remotely for an American company. Huh, so a lot of people are. What does that look for? What?
It's funny how millions upon millions of people just have to be here in the United States, but these people are just too good. For the goodness of the United States. We just want to go and pay higher taxes somewhere so we can make Instagram photos every day. That's why. I feel like that's what it is.
It's that they want that influencer life, yo. The rat apocalypse is forcing residents in a northwestern state to create a city. Yeah. to catch them with their bare, nasty, gross hands. No, I don't want to read this.

And they can jump six feet and they're trying, apparently, it's really bad.
The Daily Mail piece, because it's just written like verbal diarrhea or written diarrhea, it's horrible. They don't even tell you what the name of the town is all the way until the third to the last paragraph. It's Treasure Valley area. For those who were interested, who is this writer?
Okay, Alyssa Guzman, fire yourself. You're awful. This is horrible. Oh my gosh. Stop it.
Let's see. Rumors are swirling amongst Miami brokers that Elon Musk toured a $300 million under-construction mansion.

Terms apply. So we're just basically, what, ten days away? Phrompodus going to visit Beijing. And it's a very high-stakes summit with Xi Jinping. And they're looking at managing trade tensions and geopolitical issues, and it's been delayed and.
I keep finding new things that are gonna make it more difficult for them to have like a super happy, go lucky kind of conversation. Like, for instance, How Iran is now saying they want China to take a key role in negotiations with the United States. Why? Why do they get to demand that? And why would China have any party to this?
Oh, well, it's pretty obvious. Joining us on this issue, our very good friend Stephen Yates, who is not, well, he served in not one, but two presidential administrations on this exact issue. And he's also the Senior Research Fellow at the Heritage Foundation. He joins us now. Mr.
Yates, always so good to have you. Why would Iran want China to be involved in these negotiations?
Well, I think they're good friends, and the Revolutionary Guard have been talking to other revolutionary red people over there in the People's Republic. And things haven't been going too well for that Revolutionary Guard. They talk a tough game, they engage in political warfare, but a lot of what they bought from the Chinese has gotten smoked. And they still have enough to be a nuisance and to cause some problems. And they're probably looking at China saying, you know, we've got nowhere else to go.
And we did this BRICS thing for a while. And for the last two months, you guys have been conspicuously quiet over there in the Indo-Pacific corner. How about, you know, when Trump goes to visit you, you do something for us?
Now, they might be getting a nifty little lesson that China doesn't do favors for small parties. They might not do favors for anybody, but if you're not a power, you can go into the outer ring of the emperor's secret kingdom. You don't get to go to the sanctum sanctorum. It sounds like Iran is a little bit. Disgruntled over the, I guess, lack of public support.
Because I know China's been providing them with different inputs. And we had the one tanker that was apparently bringing some parts for their missiles if they were able to actually bring that program back up again. They've been helping them in very quiet ways, but yeah, on the international stage, they've been absent. Is this going to induce them to get involved, though? I doubt it.
China could very easily try to play some angles on this. They always try to say, well, we're about peace and freedom of navigation. And you just have to stop the belly laugh for a minute about, well, what is this nine-dash line you've made up? And what are these water cannons and other things you've been shooting at Philippine vessels in their exclusive economic zone? And this freedom of navigation you speak of, would that include the Taiwan Strait for any vessel that's international and commercial, just go whenever it wants?
Are you trying to exercise for a form of blockade? In other words, don't try to bring shade on me if you're basically projecting what you're already trying to do. That's what I think a normal, rational president would do if they tried to bring it up. And at some level, the Chinese are going to know if the Iranians are asking for them to look foolish in front of President Trump at this summit, then they'll just sort of let that go into the memory hole. Yeah, that's what it seems like.
We're talking to our good friend Stephen Yates at Steve Yates on X. China has apparently ordered all of its domestic companies to not comply with these U.S. sanctions.
So, the way I understand it is that it's a 2021 block, a law that was aimed at shielding firms for what it called unjustified foreign measures. And it names a petrochemical in this Economic Times article. But China is saying, no, no, no, you don't have to comply with these sanctions that they had on these refineries that were linked to Iran's oil trade. That seems like really bad advice for China to give these entities.
Well, it's good to know that they don't want anyone to abide by any things like this because now I guess there's no restrictions in doing things in China. And maybe we should be able to act with impunity within their country. And of course, if they have opinions about what should be done on the near-abad, we should disregard those completely. Thank you very much for setting the tone and the example, Mr. China.
But I think that, in seriousness, what they're running into is something that their scholars know because they've studied it for a very long time. These rules aren't really rules. The world runs on power. And so if you have it and you use it, other people will define rules that say this is how you're going to have to follow the powerful. China wants to be that power.
They have some leverage some of the time, but they are not a power that can impose their will except in sort of rare instances. And they, you know, whether it's the rare earths for a moment, if they're trying to force a crisis somewhere. But they're very, very far from being. Able to shape events. And I don't think they want to be seen as being that ineffectual.
So I doubt they're going to try to swoop in. They'll mail in an academic article that suggests some plan for peace that no one in the region will take seriously. I mean, you have small population, high-power countries like the UAE who got smacked today and likely are going to smack back. And my guess is that will be more strategically significant than anything China's got on its horizon. Ooh, that's a really good point.
Yeah, they got hit by Iran again. UAE did, which, you know, it's not like they're friends anyway. I know the Saudis and UAE are very closely aligned, like ideologically as well. But yeah, that's not going to go. They will hit back for that for sure.
We're talking with Stephen Yates. Trump visit How is this going to go? Because there is so much palace intrigue leading up to this. And I just I I was Part of well, I guess let me ask this: why isn't Trump making Xi Jinping come here?
Well, I think he wants to try to make him come here. It's supposed to, in theory, happen later this year, whether it's a part of the G20 summit. You know, from past conversations, if the G number is high, I find the uselessness factor of the gathering to also be high. But we are supposed to host that in the fall, and there's talk of maybe Xi Jinping coming to the United States around then. And this has basically been imposed by President Trump on China.
She wasn't talking about making this kind of exchange. When they met in Korea at the APEC summit, Trump laid down this sort of pace of different visits and meetings that could happen, and China really couldn't say no.
So it could still be in the works. I think that there's some sense. If you're a strong president and you've got an agenda to say, hey, I want to rebalance our economic relationship, and here are my terms. Here are some things you're doing, like killing a generation of youth in America, and you're going to stop that, right? Go ahead, go there, meet with them.
Have your business meeting, communicate what you're going to communicate, come back. What I don't want to see is the pattern of previous presidents that go and have loosey-goosey theater, and all you get is sort of the warm breeze blowing in and out the door, and you come back and have the same movie over six or twelve months later. That's been the pattern of U.S.-China negotiations for way too long.
So, I hope it's businessman Trump that shows up if we're going to have a summit. Yeah, I would love to see that. I just remember when he had Putin meet him in Alaska. And uh it was Interesting because he made him, we talked about this, he made him walk down that, because he knows he has a limb. Or at least, you know, we all see that he does and he pretends that he doesn't.
Made him walk down this red carpet and then climb the stairs. Like, I thought he was gonna, you know, have to go through this American gladiator type of concourse just to get through to meet and stand. And then a B-52 flew overhead as it was happening. I mean, the theater and the reminder that we could just merc you at any point. I mean, it was nice.
I don't want Xi Jinping to have that optic with Trump.
So I don't know if there's anything that they could do to counter that because I mean it's the Chinese, it's Xi Jinping. I mean this is a guy who is so sensitive and so like tuned into the the like this most simplest of optics that he got mad over Winnie the Pooh and banned literally a cartoon Yellow Bear. Yep.
Well, all of that is true, and if I had my drothers, I would rather us just sit. Chill in our own space, be strong, be available if someone wants to come knocking, but no guarantees I'm available when you knock, and just play hard to get. We have the biggest, most powerful consumer market in the world. We are leading in the world's most important technology. We shouldn't be bashful or arrogant about that, but we are the leader.
We're going, if we commit to the right kinds of patterns, win a space race. We're going to dominate resources and technology. We are dominant militarily when we get our act together and use power sensibly. Those are a lot of ifs in all of that, but it's a lot more than any of the rest of the world combined can do. And to a degree, as long as China knows that and is made to know that, I'd rather sit back and let them knock.
But President Trump wants to engage. He seeks problems that have been festering and wants to try to make a generational deal or adjustment. And he sees an opportunity in this relationship. I don't know that. That I see the same opportunity.
I just have very little faith in these counterparts' ability or will to deliver. But I don't fault him for trying. What I do fault are presidents who didn't really try and, even with that, failed. Yeah. Well, this is going to be a meeting of meetings.
I think this might, do you think the last question, do you think this is going to be the most consequential meeting? Because they've met before. But this one seems like there's a lot more at stake. This meeting. Do you think that this is the most consequential one?
And what does Trump need to do to make this a success?
Well, I don't think he has to do a lot to make it a success, but unless you set the bar really, really high. But I don't set the bar high. I see this as a maintenance meeting. This is something where you set the tone. You are the leader that has changed the balance of power in global energy markets.
You've changed the balance of power in every major region. And you're here to touch base with a big, populous, powerful country in another important region just to let them know that you're also going to change the balance of power in this region, too. If you go in with that kind of attitude and reality, I think you can accomplish something by just going in and having that tone setter. I don't think that they're going to solve the world's problems. And if you believe that Xi Jinping is committed to do meaningful things that are a concession from China, this is another don't trust, just verify kind of negotiation.
Well, we'll say, Stephen Yates, as always, so appreciate your perspective. It's going to be very interesting when the day gets here. We're like, 10 days away. That is, if it still goes through, a lot can happen in 10 days. That's for sure.

So, in Florida, man, well, we do have this, though, threatening beachgoers over a fight about a chair. Florida man was busted. He was uh this was Wednesday. It was that sur it was a private surfside condo beachfront property. And he apparently got really mad.
He asked to sit on a beach chair, but he was turned down because he doesn't live there. And he became irate. and then tried to swing a beach umbrella at another person. He tried to fight the beach. Mm.
With an umbrella, and then he grabbed a drill. I don't know how someone has a drill on the beach, you know, I don't know, but they did. And then he, oh, you know what? Maybe it was one of those drills where you whirr, drill into the sand and put the umbrella in. Yeah, because that's how they do it real fast.
So he grabbed a drill and charged a man while raging. Quote, I'm going to kill you, said police. Witnesses say they saw him running with the drill down a stretch of waterfront. Of course, the police got him, and somehow he lost his pants. Uh Dude, I am looking at the a r the body cam still.
Dude is Naked as the days born. That's all I'm saying. You know, he's That's, yeah, you can't do that kind of stuff. And yeah, a Florida man exposes genitals at a Chick-fil-A drive-through. I said, no pickles.
Yeah. Yeah. You did that. You did that. Luke Dudkuick, 33, faces a charge of lewd exhibition.

I want to say skims the top of it, but I feel like that's. That's like when a woman runs into something and says with her car and says it's just a graze. Rich. Does that look like it's a a skim off the tab a little bit. Yeah, I took the whole I don't even think that that driver saw the plane coming because the driver's going one way and the plane like came like went over the top of him.
And I I mean That's on a b wasn't that New Jersey? Yeah, I think so. I just. When I saw it yesterday, I saw it for the first time, and I was like, wow, that's a crazy video. It didn't come with any real audio or anything.
It's a United Flight. Yeah, I'm seeing it. You know, there are a lot more details today on that particular story. It was landing at Newark. And it hit a, it didn't just hit the tractor trailer the guy was driving.
It literally also hit a streetlight. Right. And it injured the truck's driver.
So oh, okay. Yeah, the driver was injured. I don't, I mean, I don't think he's like in critical, but he was injured. Uh no one on the plane was hurt. But the guy was just driving and he could hear the engines, and you could tell that he could hear them.
And then the plane, the landing gears, are what hit the truck. Watch the shadow of the plane come into the cab of his truck where you're like, oh, boom.
So the, yeah, the landing gear is what struck the truck. And I don't. Oh my gosh. So the plane hits Literally a light pole and then The guy's truck. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital.
That's all we know. He was heading north. He was delivering bread products. when it happened. And they said that the jet, Boeing 767, it was going 160 miles an hour when it crossed the New Jersey turnpike just outside of the airport.
And uh They said that it was the tire from the landing gear and the underside of the plane. that hit that hit it. And then the pole, by the way, it hits the pole, it hit a tractor trailer. And then the pole also struck a jeep. How does that happen?
That would mean he's literally feet from hitting. That must have been a bridge this guy was on, right? Or some sort of road.
So that's how close to the ground? Or the bridge structure that this plane was? I wanted I'm curious if they even knew that they hit the truck. It said, Oh, the aircraft landed safely, taxied to the gate normally, and no passengers or crew were injured. That was United's statement.
Um I think the guy in the truck has an objection to that. Wow. They said that the it's runway 29. I'm reading from this is from New York Times. Runway 29, where the plane landed.
It starts less than 400 feet from the edge of the New Jersey Turnpike. They say it's not always used. But when wind conditions are right, It can see numerous landings, and that can startle drivers as planes pass at low altitudes over the highway.
So at DFW, We have a bridge. One of the runways is becomes a bridge that goes over the entry. into DFW if you're coming I think from what the north side south side Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And We've seen that a lot, and that's a pretty big runway that goes over, but I've never, that's crazy.
