True faith is centered in the person of Jesus Christ, looking unto him for salvation and surrendering to his will. False faith, on the other hand, is baseless and lacks substance, often centered in human desires and opinions rather than in Christ. To have true faith, one must appropriate the salvation offered by Christ, confessing him with the mouth and believing in the heart, and acting on that faith through obedience to God's word.
