Welcome friends to the Line of Fire.
Michael Brown here. This is going to be an eye opening week. You don't want to miss a single broadcast as we open up some really, really critically important subjects from the Word and for our lives today. Delighted to have this time to be with you as we are here to equip you, to empower you, to help you to engage as we all stand in the Line of Fire, standing together on the front lines, but not alone. I want to remind you every single week, yes, Jesus did tell us in this world you'll have tribulation, but then he said, be encouraged.
I've overcome the world and we are overcomers in him. So we're not discouraged. We're not throwing in a towel. We're not running into a corner to hide. We're not looking at how bad things are around us. Instead, we're looking at how good God is, how faithful he is. So we talk about some very sobering topics today.
I mean, topics that we have to talk about that are in this world in which we live, critically important. We won't do it with fear. We'll do it with faith, knowing that the one in us is greater than the one in the world. Let me remind you, if you're not getting our frontline equipping newsletter going out once a month, plus our weekly updates on latest articles and videos that will bless you and edify you and help you, be sure to sign up today.
TheLineOfFire.org, TheLineOfFire.org, right on the homepage. Today, we're going to focus on the diabolical, the devilish, the satanic nature of antisemitism, of Jew hatred. We're going to expose that it is demonic in its roots, that there's no rational explanation for it. It will give you a better understanding of what's happening in the world around us. And we're going to be historical.
We're going to be contemporary. We're going to ask some real basic questions as to the why of antisemitism. In this whole month, we've been focusing on the Jewish roots of the faith, why the salvation of Israel should matter to every believer, why the Gospels to the Jew first, we'll be talking about that later this week, why the Gospels to the Jew first, what that means and how we can work together to see that happen. Today, we're going to talk about Satan's opposition to the plan of God. In short, if God, in fact, has chosen the Jewish people for a mission, does not guarantee the salvation of every individual Jew never has, but if God has chosen the Jewish people for a distinct mission and purpose in the earth, then it's only logical that Satan will want to wipe the Jewish people out, especially if God has promised in his word, which he has, many passages, in particular Jeremiah chapter 31 verses 35 to 37, Jeremiah 31 verses 35 to 37. If God, in fact, has promised to preserve his people Israel no matter what, then Satan wants to wipe the Jewish people out.
Why? So he can make God into a liar. And if the Jewish people have a special mission in the earth, and part of that mission has to do even with receiving the Messiah when he returns, then obviously Satan wants to wipe the Jewish people out so that they cannot fulfill that mission. And it's no coincidence that out of the ashes of the Holocaust, the most overtly satanic effort to wipe the Jewish people off the planet, slaughtering two out of every three European Jews, wiping out 90% of Poland's Jews, the country with the largest Jewish population in the world. If these things could happen on that level, it's an evidence of Satan's horrific hatred of the Jewish people. It's no coincidence that out of the ashes of that, the modern state of Israel is birthed.
I wrote this in chapter 15 of Our Hands Who Stand With Blood. With every fiber of his depraved, sinister being, Satan despises the Jews. He hates them with a perfect hatred.
Their total destruction is his goal. He is the author of The Spirit of Antisemitism. There is no other way to explain the venomous hostility that has been hurled against the Jews by so many people in so many countries for so many years. Why the Jews?
That's the question. Why the Jewish people? Why are they so uniquely hated?
I gave lectures many years ago, one at Yale University at the invitation of Christian students there, one at Columbia University at the invitation of Christian students there. And my lectures were on the diabolical nature of antisemitism, to demonstrate that it was utterly irrational, to demonstrate that there was no logical explanation for it that connected all the dots. I went through the nature of it as the longest lasting hatred and the most widespread hatred, the most irrational hatred, the most vicious hatred.
I went through all of that. And then I said, let's look at some of the different explanations for antisemitism. How was Jew hatred explained? We went through the scapegoat theory and economic theory and the religious theory and their different theory.
And it would answer some of the antisemitism in the world. It would connect some of the dots, but not others. And when you go through each explanation, at the end of the day, you end up realizing, OK, I don't have an explanation that works for all of it. And then I gave my explanation. So remember, talking on college campuses where in some cases you don't want to talk about God, let alone the devil, that I was going to argue that the only rational explanation was that it was satanic. And then I fielded questions and objections from students there and grads, faculty, others that were there, and nobody had a better answer and no one could refute what I was saying.
And at the end of the night in Yale, a student came up to me and he said, I've never seen the opposition so lovingly dismantled. But it wasn't my brilliance. It was the fact that there was no better explanation. So as I wrote, why the Jews?
That's a question that's been asked countless times and countless answers have been given. Some people have said that Christianity itself is the chief cause of antisemitism since the church has accused the Jews of deicide, killing God, thus falling forever from grace. So there are many who believe that it's the spread of Christianity around the world that explains antisemitism. But this theory doesn't explain the presence of antisemitism in non-Christian countries like Japan or Iran, nor does it account for the fact that antisemitism existed before Christianity began. Jewish scholar Peter Schaeffer in his book Judeophobia shows, and others have shown it as well, that several hundred years before the rise of Christianity, several hundred years before Yeshua himself came into this world, that you have antisemitism, Greco-Roman antisemitism, signaling out the Jews for particular hatred as Jews. So it existed before the Gospel was here.
It exists in places that have not been touched by the Gospel. It doesn't explain how it's so blazingly hot in radical Islam. Others have said, no, no, no, here's the explanation.
Here's the explanation. Every generation you have to blame somebody. There has to be a scapegoat. So the Jews just get scapegoated the most. But that doesn't answer the question.
That just declares the problem again. Why is it that the Jews in particular get scapegoated? Why is it when something bad in the society happens the Jews get blamed for it? You know, in the Middle Ages, during the time of the Black Plague, and as much as a third of the population of Europe wiped out by this plague, who gets blamed for it? The Jews. Well, didn't Jews die of the plague too?
Yeah, but in some cases, in not as high numbers as the Gentile communities, simply because of Jewish hygienic practices going back to Torah and Jewish tradition. That was the main reason they didn't die in as high numbers. Ah, but because they didn't die in as high numbers, they must be responsible for it. The Jews, they concocted a special plan. They took the hearts of animals. They took the elements of the Lord's Supper.
They mixed it together in a potion. They polluted the wells, and that brought about the Black Plague. Jews were slaughtered over this. Jews that survived the Black Plague were slaughtered for allegedly starting the Black Plague. That's the irrational nature of things, and that's what raises the question of, why the Jews? Why have the Jews been blamed for the Black Plague, for the spread of AIDS, for economic difficulties, and communist Russia and capitalists in America for creating problems in the Catholic Church and the Protestant world? Why always the Jews?
And by the way, every one of these claims I document in our hands are stained with blood. The Jews were responsible for the spread of AIDS, especially back in the 80s and 90s. Jews were doing this or that in the Church.
Jews controlled the Vatican. And I want you to see this. I raised this question in the 2019 edition of Our Hands Are Stained with Blood. It first came out in 1992, then we updated and revised it in 2019. That's the copy that people are reading today, and their eyes are being opened, and they're shocked, and they send me texts.
They're reading and weeping. This one I wrote in the 2019 edition, and I'm pointing this out because we've seen anti-Semitism on college campuses, university campuses like crazy since the Hamas massacre, October 7th of 2023. We're seeing this everywhere, massively on college campuses. It was no surprise. It's been here for many years. It's been here for decades. So look at this. An April 28th, 2018 report in the Washington Times announced anti-Israel sentiment sweeps U.S. college campuses.
This is 2018, there's a report, and it had been around for years before that. Describing the growing BDS, Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement on these campuses, the article shares the sober news. I'm going to pause here for a moment. I've got an important announcement for you, then I'm going to come back and share more about anti-Semitism on college campuses.

Go there, search to your heart's content, and enjoy the content. Washington Times, April 28, 2018, reporting on anti-Semitism on college campuses in America, said this. No matter how the BDS movements are packaged, so again, boycott, divestment, and sanctions against Israel.
No matter how they're packaged, they're not about exercising a free speech right by targeting an unfair business practice. They're about wiping Israel from the face of the map. They're about driving home the point that Palestinians are the rightful heirs to Israeli lands, and Jews should not only vacate, but die. What do Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, Hamas, and the Palestinian Front for the Liberation of Palestine have in common? Ask one writer for the Jerusalem Post in a 2017 analysis.
Now for the penned response. These terrorist groups have all been lionized and glorified by Students for Justice in Palestine, the campus arm of the global boycott, divestment, and sanctions BDS campaign. And coincidence of all coincidence, not, the SJP, which bills itself as an innocently grassroots-run group, is the common denominator for these US campus-based BDS movements. It's anti-Semitism, pure and simple. It's alarming and hate-filled, and it continues to sweep across America's places of higher learning, landing soon at a university or college campus near you.
Yeah, how about this? According to a 2019 report from Israel's Ministry of Strategic Affairs and Public Diplomacy called Terrorists in Suits, there are, quote, over 100 links shared between the internationally-designated terrorist organizations Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine with at least 13 anti-Israel BDS-promoting NGOs. So this Jew hatred is out there, an ever-increasing measure.
We've been warning about it, friends, for well over 30 years. We've been saying for years now around the world it was at levels not seen since before the Holocaust, and then the October 7 massacre brought it up to the surface. You would have thought after this horrific barbaric act targeting children, babies, women, targeting the elderly and guilty of the most horrific atrocities, unimaginable, documented atrocities, after all of that you would have thought there would be world sympathy for Israel rising, but within days there were rallies calling for the death of the Jews, and not just pro-Palestinian, but pro-Hamas rallies. And I remind you that 51% of American young people surveyed said that Israel should be endic, and that the land should be given over to the Palestinians, and that they were siding with Hamas against Israel.
How does this happen? Well, it happens because of this junk being taught on college campuses. It happens because of social media influences on TikTok and other places with tens of millions of followers demonizing Israel and the Jewish people. It's been happening through history, and friends, we as the people of God need to be alert to this.
This is a spiritual battle. No, Israel is far from perfect, just like America is far from perfect. Human beings are human beings, and the Jewish people are human beings.
And we exemplify the best qualities of humanity and the worst qualities of humanity. If you go to a big cosmopolitan city like Tel Aviv, you'll feel like you're in a very worldly place, and you are. One of my colleagues works at a gym there in Tel Aviv, and he was telling me jokingly, he's the only straight guy in the gym. Slight exaggeration, but Tel Aviv, years back, was voted by far the most gay-friendly city in the world. Israel has become known for producing gay porn.
How about that? And yes, Israeli women serving the IDF get free abortions. I'm not making Israel sinless and perfect. And the very, very religious Jews, many of them deeply devoted, despise the very gospel we preach, and understand Jesus in the worst possible terms as some sorcerer that led Israel astray with a straight line from the New Testament to the Holocaust.
That's how little they know about the real gospel and how important it is that we demonstrate it and live it out. And Israel within, it's got organized crime, it's got prostitution, it's got aggressive LGBTQ activism, so many things that conservative Christians would stand against. Yes, that's in Israel. And I'm sure you have your share of hypocrisy among the religious Jews, and then you have those Jews that are downright mean-spirited towards the Palestinians, the radical right-wingers that oppress those that they can in settlements and things like that. So, yeah, Israel is far from perfect. On the other hand, when it comes to seeking to operate on an ethical level, when it comes to seeking to give equal rights to all, when it comes to religious liberties and freedoms, Israel stands out among the surrounding nations like a beacon, loudly and clearly shining its light. And even when Israel engages in war, yes, there are things that Israel does that are wrong and that go too far.
You've got individual soldiers that do. But no nation on the planet makes more effort to protect civilians and to warn civilians and to only go after the bad guys. No one does this more than Israel. And yet Israel gets blamed for genocide and apartheid and you name it. And the U.N. passes resolution after resolution, the Security Council resolution after resolution against Israel.
And for several years running the U.N. women's rights, they publish a report at the end of the year. And in several years running, they single out one nation for mistreatment of women. Israel. Israel.
What kind of utter nonsense is that? You talk about a strong feminist women's liberating culture. Israel as a whole has that.
And then you talk about so many of the extreme Islamic nations and others that like in Afghanistan where women can't even get proper education and on and on it goes. Yet Israel gets singled out. Why? Why?
Think of this. When Jews have nothing, when they are the poorest of the poor, they're hated. When Jews have money, they're hated. When Jews are passive and don't fight, they're criticized. When Jews fight back, they're criticized. When Jews are religious, they're criticized.
When Jews are irreligious, they're criticized. I document in great detail in Our Hands Are Stained with Blood, again, that there's no rational explanation for Jew hatred. It is, to say it again, the world's longest hatred. The world's most widespread hatred. The world's most irrational hatred. And in certain ways, the world's most vicious hatred. And 2,500 years into its existence, if you want to go back to the book of Esther and start there, 2,500 years of anti-Semitism, it's burning more intensely than it has in generations around the globe.
And even here in America. And even parts of the church embracing a theology that at its root is anti-Semitic saying that God has forever cursed the nation of Israel. That God is through with Israel as a nation. That there is no more purpose for the Jewish people as a people.
And ultimately, those theologies embrace something that is diabolical and destructive and not from above. You say, well, it's because Jews control the economy, that's why they're hated. What about through history when Jews have been so poor? Well, it's because Jews have so much power. What about through so much history where Jews have had no power? Well, it's because Jews are different because they're religious. Why aren't other different religious groups hated the same way? And what about when Jews are secular?
They're hated just the same way. You can come up with all the explanations you want, but none of them ultimately work. Not a single one of these explanations ultimately works.
The only explanation is this. Satan wants to wipe out the Jewish people. You say, but haven't the Jewish people come under divine judgment? Yes, we have. That's why we've been scattered among the nations and suffered what we've suffered.
Yes, for sure. There has been some level of divine judgment that explains our suffering. But Satan has gone so far beyond that to bring about the destruction of the Jewish people. And we must recognize the works of Satan and combat the works of Satan in the name of Jesus, Yeshua.
