The following program is recorded content created by the Truth Network. Dr. Michael Brown.

Welcome, welcome to The Line of Fire. Michael Brown, absolutely delighted to be back with you live. I was in Israel all of last week and we just played pre-recorded shows for you.

It's the best way for us to handle things from Israel. So, so thrilled to be back with you live this week. Here's the number to call. Anything you want to talk to me about since I haven't been able to take live calls in several days. 866-34-TRUTH.

866-348-7884. As always, friends, we are here to infuse you with faith and truth and courage to help you stand strong on the front lines. I know tons of stuff is going on here in the States, but I do want to start with Israel and focus on some very, very important things that I do want to share with you. And, in fact, we just sent out over the weekend the latest edition of the Frontline newsletter where I report it from Israel and pictures in there as well. It's free. If you didn't get it, sign up now. We'll send it right out to you. Go to thelineoffire.org.

Thelineoffire.org. Click subscribe right on the homepage. We'd love to get the Frontline newsletter out to you.

I believe this is one of the most impactful editions we have put out. Yet, you'll be blessed. You'll be encouraged.

You will be stirred. 866-348-7884. So, the first reason I was in Israel was to do a three-day seminar on the Holy Spirit and revival. This was also a pre-launch for our school, the Jerusalem Bible Institute, which opens, God willing, in November. It will be a school with a strong emphasis on the Holy Spirit and the things of the Spirit, and in that way will be unique as a full-time degree-granting school in Israel. So, we thank God for the other schools, ministry training centers that are there.

We rejoice in the work they're doing, and we're called to do a particular work. So, I serve, even though I'm in the States, as the director of spiritual renewal and apologetics. I've got a great team on the ground there in Israel, and it's for Hebrew speakers. Eventually, there will be some classes that will be English and that everyone can partake in around the world, but right now the first focus is Hebrew speakers, Christian Arabs are Hebrew speakers as well, to pour into that next generation of leaders, raise up Messianic Jewish leaders for Israel and the nations, and again, strong grounding academically, strong grounding in character, practical ministry, theology, but with a strong emphasis on the Spirit. Originally, Professor Craig Keener was going to be part of the seminar.

We're going to do it together. His schedule changed because of the conference. He was going to be in Israel.

He was moved to the States. Delta wasn't flying in at that time, so I was able to get in. We did the seminar together. There's some drama about me getting in and out of Israel.

Another day I'll tell you about that, maybe when it's appropriate, but let's just say not everybody likes me being there. But we had three days of wonderful meetings, arrived the hotel late morning Sunday, first meeting started late afternoon Sunday, and we went Sunday night, Monday afternoon for leaders, Monday night general public, Tuesday morning general public, and then that afternoon leads into Shavuot. You say, isn't that Pentecost?

Didn't we have that weeks ago? Yeah, that's because there's a big separation on the calendar this year. But Christian Pentecost, biblical Shavuot, same holiday, just got separated by the church in the fourth century, official separation then, but dates should be the same actually. We should be following the Hebrew calendar.

Anyway, so another subject. But did a leadership retreat just a few days, a day with the leaders for JBI, and then got back that night and took a walk into the old city. Oh, maybe half hour, 40 minute walk from the hotel, but because it's the end of Shavuot first day, there were thousands, thousands, thousands of ultra-orthodox Jews walking there. So just to walk in the midst of them to pray, see their devotion, see their commitment to family, and then to pray at the wall, very intense, very moving.

The Lord was really there, just crying out to him. And then next day, the last day in Israel, Thursday, my dear friend Ron Cantor said, hey, Mike, come down to Ashkelon and sent me down in a taxi. That's where he and his wife, Alana, live. And then we drove down further and went to the site of the Nova Music Festival. And for those watching, we're going to put some footage up, otherwise you can just hear. This was a short video I recorded walking around there.

And before we play it for you, I did a more full interview with Ron Cantor at the site that we hope to make available in the future. But so you understand that from our knowledge, the terrorists did not know in advance that there was going to be this music festival. They had been planning for months and months and months, but they didn't know about this music festival, because it's right across from Gaza. They could have come straight over the border into it.

Instead, they came down from a road, from another angle. They broke it in, massive security failures in Israel, perfect storm of security failures, and on and on. They get in, they're coming down this main road, they hear the music, they see what's happening. And for them, terrorists, Jew-hating terrorists, this was like shooting fish in a barrel. And they massacred hundreds and hundreds of young people who were there. It was a worldly festival. It was new age and Eastern religion and drugs and drinking and music and all those. But it was also a peace festival. These were the let's live together in peace kind of people, like the old hippies. And either way, people there having a party and celebrating and next thing, paragliders coming in.

And here's what's wild. When people, the Israelis first heard bombs going off because Hamas rained down thousands of rockets, an unprecedented number. That was a distraction.

And then they came breaking in other ways. That the Israelis are so used to this, an American was with them like, yeah, this is bombs. This is bombs again. They're used to it. One day when I was in Israel, Hezbollah sent in over 170 missiles from the north.

Just another day. As I'm talking, you can hear a tank shot in Gaza as Israel's fighting against the terrorists there. So initially it's like, yeah, it's bombs.

We always have bombs. And then the horror, the shock, so the Hamas murderers, terrorists just came in, saw what was happening and just began to slaughter people. Just began to slaughter them in cold blood. So there's a stake in the ground with a picture for each of the people slaughtered. And it's just some taken hostage.

Just mind them. What can you say? So let me just play this brief footage from the NOVA music site.

Okay, so I'm over at the NOVA music festival site. And each of these marks someone who died here. There's a tank fire in the background. I mean, this is the young words. The young words. What can you say? Oh my. Oh my. Yeah, so it's just person after hundreds and hundreds massacred in cold blood.

And you heard some other talk in the background. Tour groups now come there to see this. This is reality, friends. This is why Israel went to Gaza. This is why Israel has to take out Hamas. This is who Hamas is. This is their goal.

This is their end game. That they will continue to do October 7th until Israel is no more. There is no two state solution with Hamas. There is no peaceful living side by side together. Every Jew in Israel must either die or be kicked out.

And while they're at it, why not war on Jews worldwide? This is the reality. And walking those grounds, I saw just a glimpse. I mean, it's what? A thousandth, a millionth of the actual horror that took place. I'm just looking at smiling faces, the pictures of the people. But the bloodshed, the rape, the abuse, the mind-boggling. Now, there was a national sense of relief when four hostages were rescued in a daring operation that Israel carried out last week, just as we were coming over that day.

And the news was amazing. And the young lady, there were three men and one woman. And the woman was the one whose face everyone knew because her boyfriend is being taken away by the terrorists at the festival and she's being loaded on a motorcycle and she's screaming.

So the video got out, please don't kill me. Please don't kill me, with terror in her eyes. So there's one face she knew, it was her face, Noor Ghamani. So she was one of the ones that was freed. And it's bittersweet because her mother's been dying of brain cancer. So she got to see her mother, of course, with her father. Another hostage release but his father had just died. And then one of the top men involved in the military operation, 37 years old, father of two, he got killed in it. And a fellow who picked me up at the airport said it's kind of bittersweet because it's a muted celebration because their neighborhood is where the guy's parents live, who's killed and battled. So the emotions are so intense.

But everywhere you go in Israel, you see pictures of the hostages. The whole nation is feeling it. The whole nation is living it out.

The whole nation is carrying it. And it is constantly under attack. It is constantly under siege. If not for Israel's security vigilance, Israel would be no more. And if not for God's grace, yes, American help, etc.

But bottom line, they must be vigilant 24-7. Rockets are reigning and there are people who want to kill them, destroy them. Iran wants Israel eliminated, annihilated, exterminated no more. Hezbollah and Hamas are proxies of Iran. This is just reality, friends.

This is reality. There's no other nation on the planet like this. Every young person, male and female, right out of high school, served in the military. Two years for women, three years for men. Men in the reserves up to 40 years old. Hundreds of thousands of men have called away from family, called away from jobs to serve there in the reserves. And it's been going on for months. And we get to the airport.

A young man greets us there just with the group we work with just to get us through more quickly. And we're talking from South Africa. Moved to Israel about six years ago. Not religious himself, he's family religious, but he's not himself.

Maybe he's late 20s, early 30s. He'd been serving in battle for 190 something days. Now he's back, regular job, and pretty soon is going to be called back out. And I said to him, how do you feel about it? He said, well, I said to him in Hebrew, no choice, because yeah, I have no choice. And he said, it's my country. I have to defend it.

And then I talked to other young people, you know, young guy, one of the services wearing shorts and t-shirt, but with his gun over his shoulder because he's in the military, just home for a few days. That's the reality. That is the reality of life because Israel's enemies want to wipe it off the planet. Don't let anyone ever for a split second downplay the reality of that's the significance of that from the birth of Israel, 1947, 1948. That has been the reality that Israel is with. You're telling me the truth, friends, no exaggeration.

That is the reality. Phone lines are open. Any subject you want to talk to about 866-348-7883. Is brain health important to you or someone you love? Then please take a few moments and let me present a most amazing product formulated by leading physicians from Mayo Clinic and Johns Hopkins Medical.

This is Michael Ellison, founder of TriVita. I watched my mother who was wonderfully gifted and such a hard worker for most of her life until her later years. And then it was so sad to see the effects of neurodegeneration.

Even to the stage she did not recognize her son. Did you know that two out of three Americans aged 50 years or older experience some level of cognitive impairment affecting their lives? I was determined to find a formula that would support brain health. I commissioned three of the most talented and competent physicians to build a formula that would not only support mental health long term but would contribute to feeling brighter, more alert, and with less anxiety each day. After considerable research, a formula was developed and now I have the joy of presenting NeuroShine exclusively from TriVita. The formula ingredients are equivalent to the science studies shown to improve focus and concentration, enhance mood and memory acquisition. It has also been demonstrated to help prevent cognitive loss. I encourage you to call a TriVita wellness consultant and discuss how NeuroShine will support your brain health or someone you love.

Thank you for your extreme generosity towards our listeners and to the Line of Fire. NeuroShine, it's with me daily. It was with me in Israel, one of the supplements I take daily. So healthy eating and exercise, these supplements too. Get to Israel, off the plane, minister a few hours later. God's grace, yes, but healthy eating makes a massive difference.

Exercise, massive difference. And then these supplements, hey, I'm just telling you how I live. 866-34-8-7-8-8-4. We'll get to your calls in a little while. So the last thing we did after going to the Navajo Music Festival site, Ron drove me over to, it's fenced in, but we were able to go inside. And you know, you see like a car dealership, a big car dealership and just got cars, cars, cars on the lot. Well, or, or you've been to a junkyard and you've cars piled, piled. This was a little of both, except the cars were all burnt out. They were burnt to a crisp. These were all the cars that Hamas had set on fire or they'd been hit with, with RPGs and just blew up. There was right in the front that big ambulance and it had been just, it's burnt to a crisp.

Hopefully it's just completely burnt. 13 people in it were killed. Ron told me that the parents of, of one of the girls that was in it that was killed, it was so obliterated by an RPG that they only were able to identify her by three teeth and then through DNA, her spleen. And then the other cars that are lined up, they're all shot up. I mean, you see the gunshots through the windshield and the brutality of it just absolutely mind boggling.

And then some of the Hamas vehicles, you know, and they've got like a machine gun holder on the top and that was one of their vehicles taken out. It's thousands of Hamas operatives, not just soldiers, terrorists, but civilians came across as well and participated from what we know in the murder and in the kidnapping and in the atrocities. You know, what's interesting is that as the war has gone on, Israel's relied less on air strikes, more ground combat, more and more Israeli troops dying, 20% or more dying of friendly fire because it's that difficult that, you know, they'll have Hebrew voices inside a building. You go in and it's someone calling, help, help in Hebrew and you go in and they blow the building up. It's all a trap. The number of civilians proportionately is going down.

You don't hear that reported. Israel's casualties continue to rise as Israel is doing its best to take out Hamas without destroying civilian lives. But I do not support everything the government does. I do not support everything the IDF does. I have plenty of issues with Israel as a nation, plenty of moral issues, plenty of spiritual issues and I stand with Israel in their efforts to take out Hamas.

That remains the same. 866-344-TRUTH. Before I go to the phones, the latest article that I wrote is called Insights from a Radical Muslim Who Converted to Judaism.

Again, to get my articles, if you sign up, 866-344-TRUTH, sign up for our newsletter, you'll also get our weekly emails where we tell you hear the latest articles, hear the latest videos so you don't miss anything. June 12th, the Jerusalem Post ran an article by Ohad Merlin titled Gaza Mosques to Jerusalem Synagogue, A Radical Islamist Journey to Judaism. So it's the story of Yaron Avraham, obviously his Hebrew name now, racist, a radical Muslim in Gaza but now a religious Jew who runs a restaurant in Israel. So he was the 12th child of 18 children in his Muslim family.

At the age of 7 he started getting up at 5.30 in the morning for his religious devotions, memorized the Quran by the age of 12. Also because of the family, the neighborhood got involved in having to deal drugs, that was part of what he had to do. A devout Muslim otherwise, a kid being raised, but one of his sisters under strict house rule by the older brothers because that's the reality in Gaza and under radical Islam that women need men's permission to go out or to do different things. So they beat the sister when she didn't obey. One night she came home late, she decided she was going to take a walk through a mall and the brothers beat her to death.

This is in the house and this young man is listening to what's happening, hears her pleading for her life as they beat her to death, the most horrific sounds they ever heard. Next morning they're laughing, talking as if nothing happened, the mother is weeping because her daughter has been killed and this younger brother basically confronts the older brothers about what they did so they just bring them over to a mosque in Gaza, like a boarding school, you're just going to stay here. So he talks about his experience there in a mosque, a boarding school in Gaza for five years.

He said, they made me experience death and find the thrill in it. We were taken to participate in funerals of so-called Shahid's martyrs. Imagine this, children are made to walk past the corpses of those alleged martyrs, kiss their hands or feet, depending on what's left of them. Lots of brainwashing about heaven, hell, the afterlife. So this is reality of how kids can be raised in Gaza under Hamas.

This is what you're dealing with, the indoctrinating, the brainwashing, the radicalizing of a whole society. February 2021 article in the Times of Israel reported that a Hamas-run Islamic court in the Gaza Strip has ruled that women require the permission of a male guardian to travel. Specifically, an unmarried woman, this is Gaza, may not travel without the permission of her guardian, which would usually refer to her father or another older male relative. Permission would need to be registered at the court but the man would not be required to accompany the woman on the trip.

As for married women, the language of the ruling strongly implied that a married woman would not be able to travel without her husband's approval. All those saying, we are all Hamas, all those cheering on, cheering on Hamas terrorists, this is what you're cheering on. You're cheering on an enemy of your freedoms, an enemy of religious liberty, an enemy of the one true God. As for honor killings, 2014 Al Jazeera, so this is Muslim-run, reported that there was an upsurge in honor killings in Gaza, stating two teenage Palestinian girls were killed in separate incidents last month in so-called honor killings, revenge attacks carried out most often by family members against women suspected of immoral sexual conduct. Your immoral sexual conduct could be something like using a cell phone and talking to your boyfriend on a cell phone and that's it.

That could be considered immoral sexual conduct enough to get you killed. Quote, the death sparked protests with more than 100 people assembling outside the general attorney's office in Gaza on March 3rd, this is back in 2014, demanding violence against Palestinian women come to a halt. Five women died in honor killings in the Palestinian territories in 2011, that number rose to 13 in 2012 and doubled to 26 last year. It ends up that Israelis help Yaron Avraham, he converts to Judaism, etc. He's asked a question, when will peace come? When will Israel have peace with its radical Islamic neighbors?

He said, this former radical Muslim himself raised in a mosque in Gaza. When the last Jew stops breathing, when the last Jew stops breathing, this is what you are dealing with, friends. Do we pray for the salvation of the Hamas terrorists and for those they've indoctrinated? Of course we do. Do we rejoice when they die? Well, we're glad justice has come in terms of they're not going to be able to kill anybody else but you mourn because that's the loss of another human being created in the image of God.

So, glad that justice is done, glad they can't kill anybody else but sad that they are lost. Do we grieve over the death of a Palestinian child who is being used as a human shield by Hamas? Of course we do. Of course we do. We never forget who we are dealing with, friends. We never forget who we're dealing with. And the misguided protesters at university after university in America, abroad, saying we're all Hamas or resistance that it costs. They may not mean it, they may not understand what they're saying, but there's blood on their hands in what they're saying and doing.

May God open their eyes as well. 866-342. We'll be right back. Take your calls.

Hey friends, Michael Brown here. My delight to serve as your voice for moral sanity and spiritual clarity. We are living in such urgent times today, friends, that all of us are in the line of fire.

There's a target on your back, there's a target on my back. If you simply seek to live by biblical values or just conservative moral values, you could be canceled, you could be cast out, you could be put down, you could be silenced. I'm here to say, friends, that I am not about to be silenced and I don't believe you are either. It is time for us to stand up, it is time for us to say enough is enough, it is time for us to push back in Jesus' name.

Not fighting the way the world fights, no. Overcoming evil with good, overcoming hatred with love, overcoming the flesh with the power of the Spirit, overcoming lies with truth, and that's what we're here to do on the Line of Fire broadcast. And friends, it's not just a broadcast, it is a movement of people around the world.

God's people standing up saying, enough is enough, and saying, Lord, here we are, send us, use us. I want to urge you today to join our support team because we are on the front lines together and we are literally touching people around the world, in America, in the nations, in Israel, and together with your help, we're going to amplify this voice and spread this movement around the globe. Here again is Dr. Michael Brown. Hey, just from my heart, thank you for all who pray for our ministry. We had key intercessors fasting and praying during the three days of Holy Spirit Seminar. People have been touched. People have been impacted. We had great meetings, people encountering the Lord.

One leader who was there said that he went from there and preached at his home congregation Friday night and the Holy Spirit fell powerfully, believes there was impartation. So, people were touched, people encouraged, leaders encountering God, believers encountering God. So, I ride the wave of your prayers.

I fly on the wings of your prayers. So, thank you, those who prayed for the trip to Israel. It was tremendously fruitful. The Lord enabled us to be a blessing to many, many people.

I cannot do, quote, missionary work according to status why I was there, even though it's perfectly legal to talk to anybody you want about your faith, but I was very careful, walked within certain guidelines. Like I said, there's a little controversy about my presence in the land, which is an honor to know that I'm looked at in that way, but we were able to minister to believers and, of course, take in the realities of what had happened October 7th, to shout that out to the entire world. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you torchbearers, our monthly supporters.

Thank you. You make this work possible. You help us go where we go.

You support it. We went to Israel, didn't ask for expenses, didn't ask for airfare, paid for our hotel because folks generously donate into our Jewish outreach fund. So, thank you for standing with us and allowing us to pour in to Israel, a time of great pressure, a time of great need, and together we really made a difference. Streams of refreshing came, my opening text from Isaiah 44, where God says, … pour out water on the thirsty ground … and streams on the dry ground … excuse me … pour out my Spirit on your seed, your offspring … and my blessing on your children, so your offspring there. So, start it there, and when the Holy Spirit is poured out, that's when everything changes. That's when people come to faith.

That's when eyes are opened and lives are transformed. So, thank you for going together. It was a great trip. You made it possible.

It was a joy to come into the office and sign letters to a bunch of new torchbearers. Together, we're making a difference. And those that want to join our support team and invest a dollar a day to help this world-changing movement that we're part of together, The Salvation of Israel is right on the top of that list. Go to thelineoffire.org, click Donate Monthly Support, and it will be my joy to welcome you. All right, let us take some calls for the first time in days. We start in Virginia with Joe. Welcome to the Line of Fire.

Hi, Michael. Joe, I am a torchbearer, and it's a very easy ministry to get behind. Oh, well, thank you, sir. Before helping others in this, it's very easy to get behind. Thank you for that ministry.

Our joy. How can I be of help, sir? A couple of weeks ago, there was a— Okay, just lost you there. Yeah, I remember it was about two or three weeks ago, and you gave some verses, and you felt like there probably were. But I came across a verse you didn't mention. I just wanted to bring it to your attention and see what you think. It was Hebrews 1.14, and it says, Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

That seems fairly specific. What do you think of that verse? Yeah, so there's no question that angels are constantly helping us, assisting us, without us knowing it. Does it say that each of us has an individual angel?

That could be debated. It could certainly be likely that that's the case. So, without question, that that's part of the job of angels, which is so amazing, behind the scenes, working to serve God's purposes for our lives, to serve the purposes of salvation, in that sense, to serve us in the things of God and what He's called us to do.

So, it's definitely something happening. I remember some years ago, I had Pastor Jack Graham on my show. He had just written a book on angels, and the more he talked about it, the more I got stirred. It's like, yeah, there's a lot in the Bible about that. But that would be a verse, of course, it's one that we all know.

If I didn't quote it, it was just highlighting a few others. But that's, yeah, it doesn't say for sure that each of us has, quote, a personal angel or a guardian angel. But for sure, it says that angels are working, and obviously behind the scenes, on our behalf, to carry out God's plan for our lives. It does seem like a difference between non-believers and believers. Whether or not we have an individual one, I agree. Yeah, absolutely. Which is like His angels are those with those who are sons and daughters of God.

Oh, no, there's no question whatsoever that there is angelic activity on our behalf that is not on behalf of unbelievers. No question whatsoever. All right, well, very good. Yeah, thank you for the call, and thank you for your support. Sure, thank you. God bless.

Bye-bye. 866-34-TRUTH. Before I go back to the phones, I want to tell you something really interesting. Some years ago, there was a generous donation that we received from a lawyer, and one of my team members said, I believe it was actually our daughter Meg who does part-time bookkeeping work for our ministry for many years. She said, Dad, you should give them a call. They've been monthly supporters for many, many years, and every so often will give some larger, generous gifts. We do that. We reach out with appreciation, so in our office, the senior staff will call with appreciation. Then everybody gets a call just for prayer, any needs they have, because we want to stand with you. We want to be a blessing to you. If you're our supporters, you've gotten calls from us. How can we help?

How can we serve? How can we pray for you? Our folks do pray, and then some things will be brought to my attention as well. Anyway, when I called him, he said something really interesting to me. I'm just being candid, because you know I'm not some big fundraising money guy. Of course, any money that comes in goes right back out to do the work of ministry. But he thanked me for giving him an outlet for his funds, because the things that were really important to him, seeing the church revived, seeing the people of God wake up and repent and come alive and get healthy, seeing the gospel confront culture, gospel-based moral and cultural revolution, and then seeing Israel saved, standing with the people of Israel and working for their salvation.

Those were all really important values to him. He said, thank you for giving us an outlet for our giving. That really spoke to me. That really ministered to me. He wants to give. He's a giver, but now through giving to our one ministry, all these three things that are really important to him, he can in that sense hit three birds with one stone. It struck me, wow, that we are serving him so he can give.

It's just a concept that I didn't have before. As Joe just said that our ministry is easy to support, it just reminded me. Again, from the heart, thank you. Thank you for your sacrifice. Thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you for your belief in us. There's a lot of crazy news right now, some big, staggering headline news in the church.

I'm just waiting for some of the dust to settle, waiting to get God's mind and heart to see how to best address things for the good of the body. But thank you. Thank you for standing with us. I really do appreciate it. All right, let's go over to our friend Jesse in Twin Cities, Minnesota. Welcome to the line of fire.

Thanks for taking my call, Dr. Brown. You bet. So my question is kind of surrounding the topic today. The first question I had—it'll be quick, all three should be quick answers—but the first one is, what is your interpretation of Romans 10-2? Because I find that really interesting that it kind of links up with Romans 11, 28, and 29 in my mind, that the verse says, I testify about them that they have a zeal for God but not according to knowledge. And then my second question would be, you know, I see a lot of Facebook ads about free Palestine and that sort of thing, and I'm wondering what your take is on if I should engage those or if I should just kind of ignore them. And then the third question is related to that, which would be Holocaust deniers. How do you deal with these people? Because they seem so dogmatic, you know?

So those would be my questions. Yes, thank you, thank you Jesse. So Romans 10-2, Paul speaking of Jewish people in his day, having a zeal for God but not according to knowledge, I was talking to someone, a colleague in Israel, and we were in the midst of thousands of ultra-Orthodox Jews, and I was saying, you know, you have these Christians say, well they're all going to hell because they haven't said the prayer. And a lot of these Christians are living very casual lives, hardly pray, hardly read the Bible, living very worldly lives, but because they said the magic words, I received Jesus as my Savior, then they go to heaven, and these Jewish men and women devoted, praying, studying hours a day, seeking to live by very, very high standards of morality, etc., they just burn in hell. Now, to be clear, I do not believe anyone can be saved outside of God's grace expressed through Jesus, Yeshua.

I believe that Jew and Gentile alike need the blood of the Messiah to be saved. But I was saying to him, it's very painful for me to see how superficial and insensitive certain Christians can be, not recognizing that religious Jews in terms of zeal put most Christians to shame, religious Jews in terms of lifestyle, devotion, sacrifice, put most Christians in America to shame, and yet it's based on tradition rather than encounter with God. It is not based on the truth of the Gospel.

So that's what Paul is saying. Now, there are plenty of secular Jews in Israel and around the world, there are atheistic Jews, there are worldly Jews, there are carnal Jews, there are Jews in jail for crime, we understand that, but religious Jews are very zealous. Are some hypocrites? Sure, just like some Christians are hypocrites. But in my book, Our Hands Are Staying with Blood, the chapter so near and yet so far talks about the intensity of religious devotion. You know, standing at the wall and there were so many, the biggest crowd I've ever been part of, praying at the wall, and it just took a while to even actually get to a place where you could pray there.

And just seeing some of them, the hearts breaking, pouring their hearts out to God and crying out, these things are very moving and certainly God sees the tears and feels the weight of the pain. Okay, as to those saying free Palestine, again, what they mean is no more Israel. What they mean is get rid of the Jews. What they mean is that Israel is the evil occupier that has taken over their homeland. And of course, historically, Israel is the one that accepted a two-state solution and the Arab leaders refused it. And it's been the Muslim world surrounding radical Islamic world that's wanted to wipe Israel off the map ever since.

So this whole free Palestine thing is just, is a myth in terms of the reality of the situation. But how do you respond, to engage or not? I'll cover that on the other side of the break. Stay right here. Are you or a cherished loved one finding it harder to remember names, stay focused or maintain a positive outlook on life?

Here again is Dr. Michael Brown. All right, so back over to Jesse. So as far as the Free Palestine people and the Holocaust deniers, it's to me different sides of the same coin in terms of engaging. Part of me as a debater, as someone who loves the truth, as someone that wants to dialogue, I would love to engage with everybody. If I had the time, I would engage with everybody on social media that posted on our pages. I would engage with everyone that has an argument with me on YouTube. I would take time, and if they were just scoffers, mockers, then okay, I tried.

But I would love to do that. For the most part, though, it's a waste of time and energy. It's unfruitful.

It does not produce much good. I'm talking about those that are coming with these radical positions. So what I might do, say with a Free Palestine person, I would just ask them, hey, please share your perspective with me on what that means. What about the Jewish people living in Israel? What's your viewpoint?

It's not challenging, just asking. And then, let's just say, well, Israel, they have no right, they stole land, so just help me understand. In the 1947 UN partition plan, the Jews accepted it, even though it wasn't the best one. They accepted it. The Arab leadership denied it and attacked. So where would you like Israel to go? Then, if they give you an answer, there's any rationality, there's any give and take, you might say, hey, could you watch this video and give me your thoughts, like my video on Israel, an evil occupier, or if you've got some other source that you think is good, or can you read this article and tell me what you think?

And if it's like, wow, I never thought of that angle, then you can have some dialogue. Otherwise, all you can do is find out where they're coming from and the anger, the venom, the viewpoint, the perspective, et cetera. With Holocaust deniers, it's even more entrenched. Maybe the Free Palestine people are just misinformed, and with a little dialogue, their perspective will change, but if it's clear they're dug in, evil Israel, they start spouting out the standard anti-Semitic things, you just get out of there. Holocaust deniers, you pray for, you know, because they've already bought into something, and they're dogmatic about it, and in their view, they have all the facts, whatever information you give them is going to be dismissed, so you just, you avoid it. You pray for God's mercy in their lives, and for the truth to triumph, and you just, you have to avoid it.

There's nothing you can really do. And here's the deal, there's an almost infinite amount of material on the website. For us as human beings to get to all of it, it feels like infinite. And there's always going to be some wacky thing being said somewhere. Decades ago, God had to remind me, I am not the overseer of the truth, or the gatekeeper of the truth, or the one responsible for keeping error out of the church.

It would be arrogant to think that anyway. You know, it's like, hey, do what God's called you to do, minister to those that will receive. If there's something like, decades ago, 57 years ago, Jehovah's Witness came to my house, and so I was coming home from school, and when I talked to her, I could see, I could see that my questions were penetrating. That it threw her a little, and then she went back to her set answer, and eventually she left Kingdom Hall. But plenty of others, you give them your response, they have their set answer, they're kind of brainwashed, you just pray for them.

What can you do? And give your time to those who have a heart, who are hungry, who are thirsty, who want to grow, or just spend it building yourself up. Alright, hey, thank you for the questions Jesse, God bless you man. Thank you. You're very welcome. 866-34-TRUTH, and hang on, for some reason here, my screen just froze, but let us, there we go.

Okay. I want to share something with you. This Thursday night, in New York City, Manhattan, so all you in the New York area, it's going to be a very, very important night, some beautiful worship, and then Dr. Air Bernard, Dr. Mitch Glaser, myself, will all be speaking, it's a Stop the Hate rally, it's a rally combating anti-Semitism in New York City, it's going to be a very, very important night. Information is on my itinerary at thelineoffire.org, so if anywhere in New York, New Jersey, area of Long Island, please do come, it's going to be an important night, Thursday night, and then over the weekend, be participating in the Reformation Conference called Bullying in Fort Worth at Mercy Culture, Saturday night, Sunday morning, I should be there, so all of our friends in the DFW area, hope to see you there, but Mitch, Mitch sent me an article, and it is, it was printed on the NYC religion website, 1933 and 2023, The Recurring Nightmare of Rising Anti-Semitism. It was posted by Alan Shore, June 17th, 2024, in other words, today. And there is a headline from the New York Times, March 28th, 1933, Faith's Voice Indignation at Anti-Semitism, part of the great crowd gathered in Madison Square Garden, building pact, 55,000 in protest on Hitler attacks, this was 1933, what happened?

People were raising their voice, people were saying something, what happened? Alan Shore says this, the golden age of American Jews is ending, proclaimed the Atlantic Magazine in its April lead article, its modern retro cover with English and Yiddish characters shaded in dim red, white, and blue color portends an eviction of the Jews from the American public square. Its liberal Jewish author, Franklin Foer frets how quickly the best of times for American Jews in terms of safety and prosperity has turned dark and foreboding. Foer says that the progressive left and educational institutions are now lining up Jews for condemnation and cooking up a toxic brew of anti-Semitism in the name of anti-colonialism. Both left-wing and right-wing activists seem to be grabbing the torch of anti-Semitism from those who bore it in the past. Can Jews and Christians do anything about it?

There's a powerful precedent that could supply a measure of hope. In February 1933, Adolf Hitler of the Nazi party assumed leadership of the government in Germany. Soon there were credible and disturbing reports leaking out of Germany about a spreading pattern of depredations directed against Germany's Jewish prophets. 1933, one New Yorker Rabbi Stephen S. Wise immediately grasped that this rise of anti-Semitism in Germany was going to hit against the American shores, stirring up native anti-Semitism. The Jewish leader recognized the success in a democracy required allies.

He was prepared for the fight. In just nine days, Wise assembled a stellar program and secured Madison Square Garden for an evening of protest on March 27th, 1933. The rabbi was especially qualified for public leadership on this issue at this perilous moment. He was honorary president of the American Jewish Congress and a reformed rabbi in New York City of the Free Synagogue, which he founded in 1907. Both the Jewish and Christian publics generally recognized his leadership. He was no stranger to readers of the English-language press who regarded him as a reliable spokesman for Jewish interests. The rally collected an astounding audience and received terrific coverage in both the English and Yiddish-language newspapers the following day.

The New York Times' largest headline proclaimed, 55,000 here staged protests, here staged protest Hitler attacks on Jews. Wise's speech was quoted at length, as were those of noted New York politicians. The Madison Square Garden meeting was a turning point in the United States history of Jewish and Christian relations. While the clergy of both sides had made tentative gestures towards better relations, they had never before risked offending their respective constituencies by a public display of unity in such a large public spotlight. Wise took the chance by urging his fellow Jews to welcome Christians on the podium and reminding Christians that this was their opportunity, too.

So an additional element was present on the stage that would have been less familiar to the public. Placed under the subheading, other faiths join in. The Times story described how an assembly of well-respected Christian clergy was also present. Their voices were spreading the message that Hitler's treatment of the German Jews must not be met with silence from Christian America. In fact, the Christian speech makers went further than expected by turning the spotlight of antisemitism in America, turning it on antisemitism in America, which suddenly was in the glare of headlines about Germany's shameful treatment of Jewish citizens.

It says this, the appearance of these leading Christians did not materialize out of thin air for decades. Wise had been preparing the way by planting seeds of interreligious cooperation on social reform projects with like-minded Christian clergy. Wise's biographer, Melvin Urosky, noted that the rabbi joined clergy very early in criticizing liquor and gambling interests and child labor.

Wise started this sowing in 1900 when he was beginning his rabbinate in Portland, Oregon. He brought his public concern to New York City, where he joined with progressive Christians to fight poverty, pollution, and the lack of public playgrounds. Now it seems his efforts were making a more fully developed understanding of antisemitism important to American democratic thinking. This development would eventually lead to a new post-war era of Jewish-Christian relationships.

The whole point of this article is to say, look what happened in 1933. And Jews and Christians in America are going to have to unite to stand against the rising, insidious, worst ever tide of Jew-hatred we have seen in America. Worst ever demonization and delegitimization of Israel as a nation since 1948.

These things are happening on our watch. This does not mean that we hate Palestinians. This does not mean that we justify everything Israel does. It means we recognize the reality of Jew-hatred. It means we recognize the demonic nature of what Hamas does. It means we recognize this attempt to wipe out the Jewish people and make God's word into a mockery. Because remember, the election of the Jewish people remains.

Paul is emphatic on this. The whole Bible states it and restates it. There still is a purpose for the Jewish people. Yes, they need Jesus to be the Messiah. Yes, they cannot fulfill their ultimate purpose without him. But they remain chosen and called. The New Testament is quite emphatic on that and therefore Satan still has the Jewish people marked and the promises to Israel remain, which is why Satan wants to wipe them off the map. Stand with God against the devil. I urge you, my friend, take your stand. Another program powered by the Truth Network.
