Well I'm ready. Let's do it. You've got questions. We've got answers. It's time for the line of fire with your host, activist, author, international speaker, and theologian, Dr.
Michael Brown, your voice of moral, cultural, and spiritual revolution. Michael Brown is the director of the Coalition of Conscience and President of Fire School of Ministry. Get into the line of fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH. That's 866-34-TRUTH. Here again is Dr.
Michael Brown. President Obama will order all public schools nationwide to allow transgender bathroom access. This is a very controversial issue that has divided schools, parents, and politicians all across this country. For good reason. This is Michael Brown.
For good reason. It has divided people across the country. It is a moment of moral and cultural insanity. And I have called for national. civil disobedience to the President's mandate.
National civil disobedience For every educator, for every parent, To respectfully say, No, we will not comply. This is Michael Brown. Thanks for joining us on the line of fire. It's Friday. Which means you've got questions, we've got answers, 866-34-TRUTH.
That's 866-348-7884. Any question you have in any area of expertise I have. Be it biblical, be it theological, be it spiritual, be it moral, cultural, any areas where I have any expertise, anything we've talked about on the air that you want to follow up on. Phone lines are open: 866-348-7884. As always, I remind you: the earlier in the broadcast you call, the better chance we have of getting to your call.
But first, Let's take a moment to address the insanity. of this present policy Secretary Department, the U.S. Secretary of Education John B. King Jr. made a statement, clip number three, Joey.
Listen to what he had to say about this new edict.
Now, please remember, this is not just a matter. of little Johnny who's six years old who identifies as Jane. Who wants to use the girls' bathroom and now put that imposition on all the other little girls who are confused because Johnny is a boy. Why does Johnny want to use the girls' bathroom? Put that aside.
How about Fifteen year old Johnny, who's convinced that he's really Jane, Using, sharing the girls' locker rooms, shower stalls, that is moral and cultural insanity. To put it mildly, And yet every public school in America is being told you must comply by the federal government. It is time for national civil disobedience. Everyone, please take a moment and do this. Go to stream.org.
Stream.org. And click on my article, A Call for National Civil Disobedience to Obama's Public School Transgender Bathroom Mandate. Share it on Facebook, share it on Twitter, email it to your friends. Everyone needs to speak and Take a stand. We can reach out to those who are marginalized.
We can reach out to those who are hurting.
However, we must not do it at the expense of the rest of the society. Listen to what Secretary of Education John B. King had to say. John B. King Jr., the Secretary of the Department of Education, had this to say tonight, quote, no student should ever have to go through the experience of feeling unwelcome at school or on any college campus.
We must ensure that our young people know that whoever they are or wherever they come from, they have the opportunity to get a great education in an environment free from discrimination, harassment. and violence.
Okay. First problem with that is what about all the other people? If you're talking about two or three out of a thousand. What about everybody else that is now potentially embarrassed or inconvenienced or traumatized or has some other issue because of this? What about the heterosexual predators that have already used these types of laws to access bathrooms and locker rooms?
What about the University of Toronto that had to reevaluate its policy of gender-neutral showers after college guys were going in there and holding their cell phones over the stalls to record the ladies on the other side? Mm-hmm. How about a little sanity? How about saying let's try to find out? About the struggles of these kids and try to help them without imposing this on everyone else.
Time for national civil disobedience. 866-342.
Now, this is still Friday. You've got questions, we've got answers.
So, this is the time to call in with your questions. Not make statements, but call in with your questions. We'll be right back. It's the line of fire with your host, Dr. Michael Brown, your voice of moral, cultural, and spiritual revolution.
Here again is Dr. Michael Brown. So last night, people started sending me emails and posting on social media. What? What?
What? Have you heard what the Government's doing? What Have you heard about the Obama administration? And, friends, I I don't I don't want to rub this in. But please understand that when I first was on the air which was what two thousand seven So during the presidential primaries where Senator Obama was competing against Mrs.
Clinton. For the Democratic nomination, and I was trying to weigh out how much I wanted to talk about politics on the show. and what part that would play, et cetera. I warned then. That President Obama would be the most radically pro-gay activist and pro-abortion president in our history.
It was self-evident from what I knew about his positions. I warned then. I just. Want to say that So People Began to contact me last night. Have you heard?
New York Times, you said today, all the major outlets saying the Department of Education tomorrow is going to announce that all schools, all public schools in the nation must comply. must comply with these radical transgender activist points. And Uh Knew it was coming. I mean, they've made this clear for some time that this was their intention, this was their direction.
So no surprise. This morning I got up, had some radio interviews to do, but in between that and before the show, I was able to write this article, which had been burning in my heart from last night, to write this article on a national call to civil disobedience.
Sometimes obedience to God means disobedience to man, and this is one of those moments.
So help get the word out. I am your voice of moral, cultural, and spiritual revolution, meaning I can talk about these issues. I can articulate these issues. I can help equip you. But this is something that we do.
Together. This is one of those Karos moments. Those moments to take a stand and let the church pray all the more for wholeness for those who identify as transgender. 866-34TRUTH. It is Friday.
You've got questions. We've got answers. And you want to ask me about these issues? That's fine. I don't just want to open the phone lines for folks to call in.
And you may be frustrated. You want to vent your frustrations. I appreciate that. But if you have questions, what do we do? How do we address this?
What's going on? I'm glad to take questions on any moral, cultural issue, as well as, as always, our biblically related issues. Let's go to the phones and we'll start in Greenwich, Connecticut. Tom, welcome to the line of fire. Thank you, Dr.
Rob, for taking my call. This is on the first time caller, new in the area, but. From San Francisco and before that, Seattle.
So I'm not unfamiliar with the gay issue, and I don't believe it got Acebags or anything. I mean, I'm here to point people to Christ. Let me I want to vent my frustration as what I really want to do. And over this issue, I'm 70 years old. I've got a bunch of children, I've got grandchildren, and I don't want.
a transsexual coming into the same bathroom that my wife or my Girls or my granddaughters are in. I'm all for, hey, let's find an alternative. I'm not intolerant. I know that we can. You know, do something to appease this two percent of the population and I'm not afraid of somebody calling me intolerant.
Here's what happened the other day: this thing started to come to light, and I was. going to the gym. And I walked past the women's dressing room to the men's dressing room and I had this crazy thought that I just couldn't hardly resist bouncing us off an old guy. you know, seventy or above. And I said, well, what?
Does the club have a policy if you and I. We're to dress up like women, could we go? do our stuff next door. And he kind of spit and sputtered and didn't really understand what I was where I was going. And I asked a younger guy, and he said, Oh, I tried that the other day and it didn't come out very well, you know.
And I'm I'm kind of saying all that tongue-in-cheek, but I'm not sure. But actually, Tom, just to jump in here, Tom, it's not tongue-in-cheek. It's not tongue-in-cheek. It's been done. In fact, you don't have to dress up as a woman.
If you go into Planet Fitness and say I identify as a woman. Where is the woman's locker room? By their company policy, you get to use the ladies' locker room.
So you can be in there changing right next to the other ladies. And if one of the ladies complains, if one of the ladies says, we're uncomfortable with your presence here. And makes an issue out of it, as happened with one lady, that lady could lose her membership. for protesting the policies of Planet Fitness. When it comes to, say, bathrooms, If you have a family bathroom, you have them in an airport, sometimes a special handicapped bathroom.
If someone is having a conflict over the harmony between their outsides and their insides, well, go ahead. Use that. Target is turned the world upside down by saying, let everybody else use the handicapped bathroom.
So the 99.8% of the population use the handicapped, and the 0.02% you use the other bathrooms, the male-female bathrooms. Again, That is cultural insanity. And when it comes to locker rooms, here's the deal. Sir, if you got mail plumbing. If you're visibly a male, You don't belong in the ladies' locker room, changing room, fitting room.
It's that simple. You say, well, I kind of look half male, half female.
Well, that is going to restrict some of your options, but you cannot impose that. On everyone else. Hey, Tom, thanks for calling. 866-34TRUTH. Again, if you've not read my article, A Call for National Civil Disobedience to Obama's Public School Transgender Bathroom Mandate, is on stream.org.
We have it linked at askdrbrown.org, latest articles as well. Please share this with others. Let's get this viral so that Americans can wake up and stand up. 866-34TRUTH Keith in Salvista, Kentucky. Welcome to the line of fire.
Hi, Dr. Brown. Thanks for taking my call. First, First of all, I'll hire them. I want to say I hope my pastor doesn't um No about Don't listen to this or anything like that.
I'm having a lot of trouble as of late. Um when it comes to doubting my salvation, And um Knowing when the appropriate time is to examine myself and things of that sort. Um I've been this going to this new church as of late. Um for about a couple months now and I get along with the pastor well. We've become friends.
He's sort of a younger pastor, but Um, he kind of preaches a lot, um, that makes me feel convicted and makes me Um, as ridiculous as it sounds, wanting to walk the aisle. I've done it before, I've done it before, and As insane as it sounds, I've been baptized already three times in my life. When I was twelve, I didn't. really understand what was what I was doing and or anything like that. When I was nineteen, I Head.
made a commitment to the Lord. That we call it. Back. Mainly my Um doubts have come stemmed from experience and So Things false things that I may have believed or Um people I may have got my theology from at the time. Yeah.
So I don't really know Uh What to do? In that regard, I don't know if the Solution or remedy is always to just walk the aisle again, or to just no, it's not. And Keith, my heart goes out to you. The church in which I was saved, there was a Man, maybe in his fifties. every time there was an altar call for for people to come up and get saved, He would come up and pray the prayer.
I mean, this is for several years he did that. And I've had others talk to me about doubting their salvation.
So, so this is nothing to take lightly. more importantly to beat yourself up over. But Keith, what you have to do is make an absolute determination that you trust Jesus as your Savior, period, end of subject. If you feel nothing, If you experience nothing, you have to put 100% confidence. in what Jesus has said.
And I would encourage you. To throw it all back on Him, Lord, you said this. Lord, you said this. to underline the promises of Jesus in the Gospels. to underline the promises in the preaching of Acts.
the promises in the letters. and say, God, I'm trusting you because you said it. I I am not trusting myself. I am not trusting my ability. I am not trusting my my strengths.
I am trusting you. And from that vantage point, if you feel the Lord Convicting you of wrong thoughts or wrong actions, then you ask God as your father, as a child of God, Lord, wash me clean. Lord, forgive me, but not for salvation. simply for relationship.
So, Keith, it's going to be a minute, but as soon as Betsy are... Call screener gets a break. I'm going to have her get your address. I want to send you my new book, The Grace Controversy. which I think will really help ground you.
and trust in God's grace while leaving room for the conviction Of the Spirit.
So stay right there, Keith. But I urge you, everyone else, in a similar situation. Put your trust In Jesus. He's the Savior, not you. And He will not forsake you.

And I'll be taking calls the next. Hour and 40 minutes. All right, we go to Rochester, New York. Michael, welcome to the line of fire. Hi, thanks for taking my call, Dr.
Blown. Sure thing.
So I'm turning thirty this year, and I've seen the morals change in this country year by year. And my question is: you know, as a Christian, it seems like we just react to these issues and we're not. proactively trying to push our own agenda like they are. Is it do you think this is because people are just looking forward to Christ coming back? Or is it just because we're just behind?
Excellent question. I want to answer it on a few different levels, Michael. And it's interesting, you as a young man turning thirty have seen radical changes in society in recent years already. Uh one thing is that often We are looking at one side of an issue. In other words, when it came to, say, homosexual behavior, we were looking at, say, some gay pride event in our city and people marching down the streets and mocking God and mocking the Bible, and we're looking at that, we're seeing the sin of it.
We're seeing the ungodly part of it, and we're not thinking about: okay, what about the 15-year-old kid in your church raised in the Lord who loves the Lord and is struggling with same-sex attraction? Or people just weren't able to talk about it.
So, on the one hand, we were doing the right thing by taking a moral stand. On the other hand, We were insensitive to some of the other issues going on. My generation would have been looking more at the issues, as one pastor pointed out. The younger generation is looking more at the people.
So we need to do that. Another aspect is that some of us, as we see moral deterioration, we just think we're out of here any moment. Jesus is coming back. When I came to faith in 1971 at the age of 16, that's what we were told Jesus is coming any minute. And I live with that expectation.
Because of that, sometimes we don't have long-term societal vision. We don't have long-term societal planning. Whereas, say, feminists or gay activists or transgender activists would. And then the other thing is, though, in fairness to the church, say the transgender issue is being blown massively. out of proportion.
In other words, you might have I don't know, maybe 1% of the population is legally blind, right? But most churches don't have a holistic plan to accommodate blind people. It's just if someone comes that's blind, you help them, all right? You may have 1% of the population that's deaf, but not every church has someone that can sign for the deaf because it's a small minority. But if you have enough people, you'll do that.
The transgender issue, you might be talking about two or three people out of a thousand. And it's also this category which becomes completely nebulous.
So Facebook in 2014 puts out 50 different ways to describe your gender under pressure from transgender activists. You could pick 10 at the same time, and transgender activists said that's a good step in the right direction. It's not comprehensive, but a good step in the right direction. What? Well, there were still protests, so twenty fifteen they had to put in fill in the blank.
So The church should not be expected to cater to cultural insanity. I'm not calling those who identify as transgender insane, I'm saying it is cultural insanity to cater to that. Or to say, okay, we need to cater to the boy coming into the girl's locker room. Let's just teach them not to be so sensitive that they have a boy in the shower next to them. No, that's cultural insanity.
So, what I constantly urge, though, is that we must be praying and looking for ways to help people find wholeness who identify as transgender. And that in our churches, whenever I teach on these things for years now, I'll say to the church where I am, if I'm asked to speak on this, if a man comes in, Wearing a dress, wearing a wig, carrying a Bible. He is very evidently a male who is identifying as a female, carrying a Bible, saying amen during the preaching. What do you do? Ask him out for lunch.
Spend time with him and try to help him find wholeness between his insides and his outsides. And if you have little kids, and maybe it's inappropriate to take him for lunch because it'd be confusing, but maybe he's sitting next to you and your little daughter says, Mama, mommy, why is that man wearing a dress? Say, oh, pray for him. He's just confused and be sweet and kind.
So we need to be proactive in that regard, but we can't react to every single societal fad as if it is now reality. That being said, sir. Last last thought for you. I only know a lot of what's happening in the media because I read about it. I do watch sports from time to time, and there are some shows that I've caught, you know, after they've been on, I've caught some shows, and sometimes I've just watched to try to understand what's happening in society.
But look, I've never watched Keeping Up with the Kardashians or I Am Kate, you know, or whatever, you know. And here's the latest Game of Thrones episode with open sexuality and incest and on and on.
So I don't watch these things. I'm not immersed in it, whereas a lot of the rest of the culture is. And sometimes, because of our separation from the world, we live in a bit of a bubble. But our kids often don't live in that bubble because of exposure around them. And that means we are not.
Really understanding the struggles they're going through or what they're being confronted with. And that's why we have to do a better job. Not of being so worldly savvy that we've, you know, the preacher is not going to use the Bible anymore. He's just going to quote from the latest episode of The Walking Dead or True Blood or something like that. But we need to recognize how much the society is immersed.
In these things. Hey, Michael, I've got to run. I've got a break coming up, but an important question. Thank you for it. And may we continue to stand for righteousness as believers while reaching out with compassion to those who struggle.
Remember the word God gave me, friends. Over 11 years ago now, reach out and resist. Reach out to the people with compassion, resist the agenda, with courage. If you want to read more, In greater depth. Can I commend to you my two books, A Queer Thing Happened to America?
and outlasting the gay revolution. It might say, I don't remember seeing those in bookstores. Oh, you won't. Oh, they've. They're in libraries.
To my surprise, they're in libraries, and people have read them in libraries and called to see how it changed their worldview. But outlasting the gay revolution and a queer thing happened to America, check them out online or on our website, askdrbrown.org. And you will get tons of important, valuable information and in Outlasting the Gay Revolution, long-term plans as to how we must live to outlast this while walking in compassion towards all. That's all at AskDr. Brown, A-S-K-D-R-Brown.org.
It's the line of fire with your host, activist, author, international speaker, and theologian Dr. Michael Brown. Your voice of moral, cultural, and spiritual revolution. Get into the line of fire now by calling 866-34 TRUTH. Here again is Dr.
Michael Brown. Hey, friends, if you're on the Ask Dr. Brown Facebook page, take a minute, watch the video. It's a minute and a half long or something like that, where I explain the call for national civil disobedience. And it's, I don't know, we posted it.
An hour ago, a little over.
So a few thousand views, four-something thousand views so far, and reached about 16,000 people. The article is shared several hundred times already since it's been posted, but we'd really like to get this out to spark something on a national level.
So through the radio broadcast, through my online articles, through social media, let's do this together. Let's send out a message with all respect to the federal government. We must obey God rather than man. 866-34Truth and in Virginia, welcome to the line of fire. Hi, good afternoon.
I listen to you on WABA. Great. I'm glad that I'm off air right now. I know exactly what you're talking about, but you had a comment on what can we do.
Now I saw this coming, I came through the 80s, I'm 54 years old, I saw it coming in the 80s with the boy George and all of that, but not to this extent.
However, lately we just missed one let me just say we just missed one turn to elect a god fearing President Anter Cruz.
So we missed that opportunity right there. And but secondly, Uh what we have to do, the p the issue is the church And as an African American woman, I founded the alarm when we were trying to protest same-sex marriage in Maryland. And it was an issue because in the African American community, we don't have families anymore. They're just headed up by single women and children. And it is the single women.
And I'm a divorced mother of one, but I've always believed in God. I've always put Jesus first. And I've always stood and had a strong faithful background on knowing about repentance and judgment. And we don't preach repentance and judgment in the church. It's the false gospel, of course.
And that's been a huge issue because I believe what happened is that if we could have gotten the churches out there mobilized to stand for something, to stand up for righteousness and let people know that there's a price to pay and the price is hell for this type of behavior. And they don't preach that anymore. And so the fact that and and even and so what I feel the killing field the fields The battlefields are in America. I think we need to bring the true believers, which is only about ten of us, ten percent of us now in America. We have to get on the battlefield, and even if we have to start our own home churches, because the issue, I've been to several churches.
You can't get a podium. and most of the pastors. R o In other words, the devil has come up in the church. You have a lot of pastors who are gay. And who are very, I think the passivity to this issue has caused it.
And you have, for example, you have As I said, I sounded the alarm. I've been sounding it for some time. I did not vote for the President. I knew he was very radically pro gay. But it has to be shown even with the presidential campaign.
of how this immoral Uh-huh. How this a moral agenda the homosexual agenda? is financially destroying the country as well. Because, for example, Social Security, first of all, whereas the last being couldn't get married, now it's sanctioned.
Now, if she passes, now that Spouse, dividing spouse gets benefits for those children. That is a burden on the taxpayers. as well as young homosexual males adopting young boys all over the world. They bring them in their homes.
Some of those guys are messed up. And then it comes within you're paying for medical treatment.
So you have the government setting up all types of programs for the different sex partners that they're having. You have to tie in how financially it is because it seems as though most people are bankrupt. They're only concerned about the pocketbook. But that is a pocketbook issue because it causes us to pay more taxes. to support As with the Affordable Care Act, you have homosexual violence.
In fact, hey, Ann, I just gotta jump in. I've got a break coming up. Stay there. I want to send you a free copy of my book. outlasting the Gay Revolution.
So much of what you said is like a prophetic Last in the air. Not standing for what's right, being complacent. Thank God there are churches, pastors, leaders standing, but still way too. few. We're going to honor the Lord.
We're going to do what's right. We're going to pray for our government. But we will not. Compromise. Stay right there.
It's fire we want for fire we It's the line of fire with your host, Dr. Michael Brown. Get into the line of fire now by calling 866-34 TRUTH. Here again is Dr. Michael Brown.
Welcome back to the line of fire. Do you understand why I'm introduced every day as your voice of moral, cultural, spiritual revolution? Do you understand why we've been saying for years that we need a gospel-based moral and cultural revolution? Is it becoming clearer? 866-34-TRUTH.
Let's go to Boston, Greater Boston. Paul, welcome to the line of fire. Hello, doctor Brown. This is Paul, and I met you during the past appreciation luncheon. In Boston?
Great. How are you today? Doing very well, thanks. Go ahead. I have a thought about the uh how we could Deal with the um the case is as well, the transgender, all of that.
uh bathroom situation. And it might take a little bit of money here and there. But um my idea is to have single stall bathrooms you know, one holers, if you will. And maybe that might take some my I'm you might hear some other noise. I'm have my GPS on.
I have it might take some money as far as locker rooms, that type of thing, to kind of reconstruct them. But I'm thinking if there's only one person allowed, I mean, only room for one person in a style Um And we configure the lockers. I know that'd be quite a project. But uh reconfigure them so that there's only one person per that's a person. You wouldn't even have to have a male or a female on the bottom.
Right, right, but but here's here's the problem, and I appreciate that, thinking about how to help everybody, but under no circumstances in our society. Do we inconvenience Put out Change the rules for 998 people because two are struggling. It would be roughly the equivalent. of making all students close their eyes and use braille. because you have one blind student in the school.
Not only so, Paul, but this is based entirely on someone's self perception.
So if a boy perceives himself to be a girl today, And then a boy again the next day, he could switch bathrooms, locker rooms, and the schools would basically have to go along with that. Also, there's no way. say in a a uh a public facility, an airport. A department store or something like that. There's no way that you are going to have enough room for an infinite number of single-stall.
Bathrooms. And then it also means you're not going to have men's rooms with urinals.
So, you know, why turn everything upside down where possible? Where possible, you can see Can have a handicapped bathroom that's more accessible. And if someone, their biology does not match their inner perceptions, well, that may be the place for them. As for locker rooms, changing rooms, the only possible alternative is if someone is confused and struggling and the school wants to accommodate, once everyone else has finished changing, that person can go in. You say that's going to make them feel isolated.
I'm sorry for that.
Sorry for that.
However, they cannot impose their struggles on everyone else, and it is obscene to think that you're going to force your sixteen year old daughter to change and shower next to a biological male with male plumbing. But thank you, Paul, for your thoughts and your concerns. I appreciate that. 866-34-TRUTH.
So the California, yeah, they've advanced a proposal that would require all single-stall public restrooms to be gender-neutral.
So you can't even have single stall that says male and female. You can't even do that. You can't even do that. If it's single-stall, it has to be gender-neutral. It is a larger war on gender.
Mark my words, friends. It is a larger war on gender and gender distinctions, which themselves are considered evil or primitive or restricting. 866-34-TRUTH.
We go to Richmond, Virginia. Craig, welcome to the line of fire. Uh good afternoon, Doctor Brown. How are you? Very well, thank you.
Good, good. I have a question. It's a change-up subject. Yeah, please. H have you come across a group calling themselves uh Black Hebrews?
And their their assertions that Christian Christianity is a pagan religion and they changed the names Of God and Christ in the Bible, and where Jesus is actually. the number six, six, six and all of that. Have you come across a group making those assertions?
Okay. I'm asked about the Black Hebrews more and more and more. I've done a little teaching out on the air, but only a little. I plan on doing more. I had an African-American on with me, an author and an apologist who wrote an African-American guide to the Bible, and we addressed some of these issues.
But I first ran across them in the early to mid-90s, somewhere around maybe 94, something like that, and on the streets of New York City. I was uh getting ready for a meeting that night, walking with a friend.
So we're we're both white Americans. And I heard this loudspeaker, these guys preaching not far from Times Square. And when I stopped, they were all African American. And they kind of looked like they were wearing a mix between Star Wars costumes and biblical garb. It was the strangest thing.
And they were quoting from the Bible. They were quoting from other books. And their basic message was that the white man is the manifestation of Satan, and Jesus was black.
So when I. Challenge them. I didn't realize I was the only white man in the crowd. But when I began to challenge them, people started chanting death to America, death to the white man. But I did confront them loudly and clearly over their error.
There are different groups, okay? There are some groups, Craig, that completely Go off the deep end with these points you're making. They deny Jesus, they deny the God of the Bible. Etc.
So they are just way, way out cult. There are others who say that they are the real Jews. That they are the real Israelites, that they alone have suffered the curses of Deuteronomy and been sent on ships to be slaves, that they alone fit the bill, that the biblical characters were black, and that. Their group is the real group, and the rest of us that would not agree with them, or say someone white like me, even though I'm Jewish, that we, you know, we're all. Deceivers or deceived or damned or something like that.
Some of them teach Trinity is a false teaching.
Some of them teach salvation is only found by calling on the alleged Hebrew name of Jesus, which they call as Yahshua Ben-Yah, which is nonsense. There's no such name as Yahshua. If you go to CARM, C-A-R-M.org, Carm. Parm.org. You'll find a write-up with some of the theology of Black Hebrews.
But it's something that here and there I'm working on more so that we can put together some good teaching on it to really help set the record straight. And to refute these ideas. But it's kind of wide-ranging.
Some of them are close to our beliefs, but just have this hyper-black identification. And others are totally out in left field with the craziest beliefs, some of which you've referenced. I see. One of the questions they asked me is: did I realize that? Christianity was uh Was beat into slaves by the slave owners, and I asked them, I said, Well, when you read your Bible, Can you tell me the characteristics of uh a A Christian disciple that matches up to Slave owners.
'Cause it just seems to be two different classes of people to me. But, you know, it it just kind of went on and on. And even before you get to that point, uh, the gospel was introduced into Africa uh a long, long time ago. Yeah, and not only that, look, the initial slave trade was Africans selling other Africans into slavery. And there are African leaders who say the subsequent white slave trade, a European slave trade, was a judgment on the Africans for their slave trade.
And then obviously we have the judgment on our European and white slave trade. Abraham Lincoln recognizing that the horrific casualties, half a million Americans dying in the Civil War, was kind of a payback for the blood of the African slaves.
So we've had our own judgment. But let's recognize that the Bible is a book of liberation from slavery. And yes, it is true that there were Christian slave owners, as bizarre as it seems, Craig, as impossible as it is for me to fathom this. It was part of a culture. And it wasn't even, you know, the Christian thing was to treat the slave kindly.
You know, that was kind of the mentality. There was not the concept of they've been kidnapped from their country, they've suffered horrors in Middle Passage, they've been sold as cattle. Those concepts weren't somehow it's like, well, we should be Christian, treat our slaves nicely. But ultimately, some did hear the gospel through it. God's a redeemer.
What Satan means for evil, God uses for good. But it was those very Christian principles that led to the freedom of the slaves.
So, Craig, we need voices like yours to confront the Black Hebrews. Again, carm.org, C-A-R-M.org. Check out Black Hebrews there. You'll get some useful info, but then it's all over the place in terms of the different groups, what they believe. Little by little, some good material is being put together that will help answer these groups, which are growing.
They are growing. 86634Truth. Let's go to Chris in Rochester, New Hampshire. Thanks for calling the line of fire. Yes.
Hi, Dr. Brown. Quick question for you. I'm a pastor, and I'm looking at considering joining a network called Global Awakening Network, led by Randy Clark. I just wanted to see if you knew anything about that.
And also, closely tied to that is Bill Johnson out of Bell Rebbing, his church, and supposedly revival going on down there. I just wanted to see your thoughts on those. Two ministers, and my last one was a theological question with the laying on of hands. I know you can impart spiritual gifts and you know the fullness of the Holy Spirit, etc. But when you pray over somebody with the laying on of hands, can you impart something bad from you into that person?
Can you get something bad from that person? Got it. All right, Chris, I've got a break. I appreciate all three of your questions. If you stay right there, I'll answer on the other side of the break.
Age the world O God of burning, cleansing flame. Send the fire. It's the line of fire with your host, Dr. Michael Brown, your voice of moral, cultural, and spiritual revolution. Here again is Dr.
Michael Brown. Welcome back to the line of fire, 866-34TRUTH. You've got questions, we've got answers.
So, Chris in Rochester, New Hampshire, Pastor Chris, a few answers. Randy Clark has been powerfully used in spiritual outpouring and healing for many years now. He's the real deal. He is moved with compassion. If you read his little book on the agony and the ecstasy of healing, he's quite clear on those who are not healed and the burden he carries for that, but the perseverance in healing to see captives set free.
And he's actually theologically minded, even though he is a revivalist and a healing evangelist, you could say. He is theologically minded and has a school that I've taught at a number of times for him over the years. Bill Johnson. At Reading, they have definitely had a steady move of the Spirit for many years now, really over two decades. I've spoken there at Bethel in Reading.
I don't agree with every aspect of their theology or every practice that they would have. And here and there, because they have so many people associated with them, there have been some odd practices that they've had to cut back on. But Bill and Randy share a tremendous heart for healing the sick and seeing Jesus glorified through that. I have people. People on the other side, non-charismatics, who say, I need to renounce Bill Johnson as a false prophet, as a false teacher.
Bill Johnson is a brother who loves Jesus, that has seen many people touched, even if I don't agree with every theological emphasis.
So, uh, On that level. I can say that these men love the Lord and are being used by the Lord in the Spirit. As for laying on of hands, There is obviously a principle of importation. It's not Just automatic that if you walk by somebody in the subway, in a crowded subway, and you bump into each other, that just because you touched each other, something's imparted. But there is intentionality with laying on of hands.
I would ask this question, Chris. Would you want someone who is a satanic priest to lay hands on you? Would you want someone who is bound by sexual perversion and pornographic perverse lust towards children to lay hands on you?
Now, I wouldn't want that personally. And the same way. The spiritual principle of impartation works for positive things, I see no reason that it can't work for negative things. And therefore, I would, and again, I'm not just talking about casual touch, I'm talking about. And a desire to impart, there seems to be some principle to it, and I don't see why it can't be done demonically the same way as it's done by the Holy Spirit.
Okay, thank you. I appreciate that. You are very welcome, Chris. God bless you. 866-348-7884.
Let us go to Steve in Manhattan. Welcome to the line of fire. Good afternoon, Dr. Brown. Good afternoon.
Got a question about uh two hands. in the person This is uh but Daniel Daniel nine twenty-five and twenty-six. Congratulations. the the words Messiah and Peter. And other ones translated in a normal pointed one in Ruler.
And I don't know what's correct. Yeah.
The best way to translate Meshiach there is anointed one. The word can be used for Messiah, but that specific usage tends to be outside of the Bible. Meshiach is found many times in the Hebrew scriptures, meaning anointed one.
Sometimes it can refer to the high priest. It referred to Israel's kings, including people like Saul. as well as David. It refers to the pagan king Cyrus. God calls him his anointed one in the book of Isaiah.
So it's best to translate anointed one. It could well refer to the Messiah, but it's best simply to say an anointed one. And the word prince, the Hebrew word nagid, can be a prince or a ruler. It's there's not much difference between that in Hebrew.
So A prince or a ruler equally valid, and for the former, I would say anointed one. And secondarily, Messiah, the more natural meaning would be anointed one. The more specific meaning would be Messiah. Even though it's a messianic prophecy, there I would rather translate it with anointed one. Which is the basic meaning of Meshiach, and that's how it's translated throughout the Old Testament.
So, for example, Psalm 2: that the kings of the earth come against the Lord and his anointed one. That's the same word.
So it's best to be consistent and always translate it with anointed one. Not that it's wrong to translate it, Messiah, but it's reading a little too much into the text to do that for the translation.
So translate with anointed one and the other prince or ruler you can make an equal case for. All right? All right, thank you very much. You're very welcome. Do I have time for another call?
Hey, if you're hanging on, stay right there. Stay right there because Uh I'll Be able to take your calls right at the beginning of the new hour. Des Moines, Iowa, Bobby, welcome to the line of fire. How are you doing, Ms. Bob?
Very well, thank you. Okay, I have a quick question about the current homosexual. homosexual and transgender agenda of our current administration? Yes, sir. Do you think with the promotion of the transgender bathrooms and gender neutral bathrooms in schools, I've been reading a lot and seeing that, you know, uh people in the wake of their Um You know, being able for same-sex marriage all across the United States of America that now pedophilistics are.
Promoting their agenda for their sexuality, saying that we can't discriminate against that. Do you think that this? Homosexual slash transgender Um Agenda that they're promoting in the schools is going to open up floodgates to that and/or Um That agenda itself, with already so much scrutiny surrounding that whole agenda, do you think that? Is going to create more heat between people. Like, there would be more hate violence towards it.
Yeah, yeah. And I'm just going to jump in because I've got a break first for sure. The more these things are pushed, the more conflicts are going to come in society. As much as transgender activists point out to the high suicide rate among those who identify as transgender. And they'd say much of it is because societal rejection, as much as many point to acts of violence against them, which we categorically denounce and renounce and speak against.
All of this pushing by the President and others is only going to lead to more hostility. towards those who identify as transgender. as opposed to finding ways to help. With compassion in the midst of the struggles. As for pedophiles, bear in mind that in the earliest days of gay activism, pedophiles marched hand in hand with gay activists, and they wanted to see the age of consent lowered.
And there was a history in homosexual literature of quote man-boy love celebrated in poems and things like that or in places like ancient Greece.
So that's nothing new in that respect. The gay activist movement completely separated itself from the pedophile movement or the so-called intergenerational intimacy movement years ago for many reasons. But This much we know for years. Pedophile activists are not talking about raping children, they're talking about, quote, consensual relationships between adults and children. They've been using the very same arguments: hey, we're born this way, hey, we're not hurting anyone, hey, this is consensual, hey, this is found throughout the world, hey, this is found throughout history.
They've been using the same arguments to advance the agenda. And they will continue to use the same arguments. Even psychologists are saying, hey, this is not right, but we have to be sympathetic. Hey, I gotta run, Bobby, but thank you for the question. My bottom line today, if today is not the day to stand for righteousness, then when will that day come?
Well, I'm ready. Let's do it. You've got questions. We've got answers. Yeah.
It's time for the line of fire with your host, activist, author, international speaker, and theologian, Dr. Michael Brown, your voice of moral, cultural, and spiritual revolution. Michael Brown is the director of the Coalition of Conscience and president of Fire School of Ministry. Get into the line of fire now by calling 866-34 Truth. That's 866-34 Truth.
Here again is Dr. Michael Brown. We are living at a unique cultural moment. We are living at a time in history in which the Federal Government is now forcing. men and women across the country, people of conscience, people of honor, People love the government.
Forcing men and women across the country to say, We will not obey the government's edict now. is the time to stand. And say we must obey God rather than man. This is Michael Brown. You're listening to the line of fire.
We do serve as your voice of moral, cultural, and spiritual revolution. There is a reason we've been saying for years that there must be a gospel-based moral, cultural, and spiritual revolution. On a day like today, things become more clear. Remember to call to ask me any question you'd like to ask me, 866-348-7884. If you differ with me, if you think I'm a homophobic, transphobic, bigot, which is, by the way, One of the nicer things I've been called in recent days, you would be absolutely amazed by the level of vitriol that pours in.
And I'm not. Complaining about it. I'm just sharing that with you. But if you differ with me, phone lines are open to you as well: 866-348-78848. Four.
If you say, what in the world are you talking about? The government disobeying the government, what in the world are you talking about? What I'm talking about is. The fact that the Department of Education has now said all public schools in the nation. In order to receive federal funding and be in compliance with federal law, all public schools in the nation must.
Accommodate kids who identify as transgender, meaning that if Your 15-year-old daughter is going to school. with a 15 year old boy. Neighbor in the community, they go to the same high school, and this boy now identifies as a girl. that by government mandate he must share her locker room Her changing rooms, her bathrooms by government mandate. It is high time for the nation to say President Obama?
Department of Education Federal Government, we respect you and we honor you. But we will not comply. There was a slogan that helped birth the American Revolution. Rebellion against tyrants is obedience to God. I would rather not even use the word rebellion.
I would simply say this is a matter of obedience. obedience Often Obedience to God means disobedience to man. It's not a matter of rebellion. It's a matter of honoring the highest authority. It's a matter of moral conviction, moral sanity, caring for your children.
You say, what can I do? Here's the first thing you can do. Make sure you understand the issues clearly. And help spread the word. First thing you can do.
Go to my website, askdrbrown.org, A-Sk-D-R-Brown.org, click on the latest article. It is a call for national Disobedience to the government. Please read that article and circulate it. It's posted only on the stream. This was an exclusive article I wrote this morning for the stream: stream.org.
Get it out to every person you know. Share it on your Twitter feed, on your Facebook feed, via Instagram. Share it every way you know how to share. All right? Get the message out.
Widely. If you're on Facebook, I've got a short video on Facebook as well where I explain the importance of this. Read the article, share it with your friends, and then there are steps to take. Parents, take a stand. Educators, take a stand.
Superintendents of schools, principals, teachers, make it known we will not comply. And for everyone listening in North Carolina, come on, when Governor McCrory said this is not just about North Carolina, it's about the whole nation, he's absolutely right.
Now you understand this.
Now you understand why North Carolina took a stand.
Now you understand the bigotry of the Bruce Springsteens and the PayPals and the other companies boycotting North Carolina.
Now you understand what the real issues are. You will be right back with your calls. 866-34TRUTH. Hey, this is Michael Brown. I want to invite you to join me for our second ever trip to Israel, February 25th through March 6th, 2017.

It's the line of fire with your host, Dr. Michael Brown. Get into the line of fire now by calling 866-34TRUTH. Here again is Dr. Michael Brown.
Yeah, by all means, take a moment, go to the website, askdrbrown.org, and find out about our Israel trip next year. We're really pleased with the responses, the very quick number of responses since the announcement's been made.
So join us if you can. It will be the trip of a lifetime, 866-34TRUTH. Let's go to Chesterfield County, Virginia, Edison. Welcome to the line of fire. How are you, Dr.
Brown? Doing very well, thanks. Bouncer. Sure, I I I was uh driving down the road and I listened to you a lot. Yeah.
Type of respondents would have You brought up something interesting to a gentleman I have that's been a real question in my heart for a long, long time.
So, uh, sometimes I fear that I've I've done something, um a cardinal sin or that I haven't been saved uh you know, that I've uh this something's wrong, that, uh So you know Theory, I don't know, I don't want to say theory, but basic fundamentals and principles that would be applicable to. Uh you know salvation that you could be sure there's been often times I've been afraid. And I do believe in God and I do believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and I believe in the Holy Spirit. Then I've I've asked you very humbly, you know, to give me the cover of my heart. But I I've often been afraid that I could be that I could lose m lose my salvation.
And I heard you talking earlier to somebody something about a book or something and Well, the Grace Controversy. I was sending him a copy of that and I can help you with that as well. Here, Edison, a couple of thoughts, all right? I'm sorry you've had these struggles, but the first thing is Jesus is our Savior. In other words, my trust is in him.
on my very, very best day. The holiest day I've ever lived, the most I've ever prayed, the closest I've ever felt towards God, the most I've ever loved anyone, my trust is still in Jesus for my salvation, not me. And on a crazy travel day where I barely even have two minutes to pray, and I'm rushed and hassled and flying around the world and jet lagged and tired and hardly feel saved. I trust Jesus just as much, and I'm just as saved that day as on my best day.
So, what you need to do is renew your mind to accept what God says. That's first. and foremost to accept what he says about you. Jesus died for every sin we've ever committed. whoever could commit.
And if we'll turn to him. And ask for forgiveness, he washes us, cleanses us, and makes us part of his family.
Now, someone could walk away from him. I don't like to talk about losing salvation. I don't want to talk about forfeiting it. In other words, someone could determine: I'm going to deny Jesus, I'm going to walk away from God, I'm going to become an atheist, I'm going to be a serial killer, I'm going to become a Buddhist, I'm going to become whatever, and I'm going to walk away from denying him. He won't force you to stay.
But he will not kick you out when you want to serve him. because you had a bad day or something. And here's the proof of it. It is impossible for you to come to God on your own. It is impossible for you to really want to serve God on your own because the flesh.
wants to rebel. The flesh wants to sin. It's like one preacher once said: a rock can go up and down. If you let it go, it goes down. If you pick it up, it goes up.
Same with human beings. If I let Edison go, boom, he goes down. One way or another, he goes down. If Jesus picks Edison up, He's lifted up.
So the Let me just say this.
So unpardonable sin, what about that? If someone commits the unpardonable sin, they have knowingly attributed the works of the Holy Spirit to Satan. and have hardened their heart in such a way that they will never come back to God. The very fact that you want to please God means you didn't commit the unpardonable sin. The very fact we're even talking about God means that God is drawing you.
He wouldn't be drawing you if He had forever shut the door in your face. If someone has gone as far as to commit the unpardonable sin, they've shut the door in God's face, God has shut the door in their face, and they will never, ever, ever try to serve God, nor will they even have the inclination to try. Right. What about that scripture that says uh uh You know, that him which had begun a good work in you shall finish until the day of salvation. I mean, to the day of redemption.
Yeah, he will. I believe that every second of my life. I never, ever worry about losing my salvation, not for a split second. What about Jude chapter one? Ver what is it, verse twenty four?
Twenty-five it says unto him that is able to keep you from falling and present you faultless with exceeding joy and presence of glory. Yeah, that's what I think it says. Yeah, yeah. He is.
So I put my trust totally in that. That's again. There are other verses that urge us to continue, that say that we are only partakers in Christ if we persevere to the end. Hebrews the third chapter, Colossians 1, that will be presented faultless if we continue in the gospel.
So, on my end, I'm not going to deny Jesus. I'm not going to turn my back on him. I'm not going to say, you're no longer my Lord and Master. I'm doing my own thing. I'm going to do whatever in the world I want to do.
God forbid. and if I did and truly repented he'd receive me back. But as long as I'm in him. Yeah, he's going to complete the work. I've got zero to worry about.
It's just like the illustration I always use. When I got on a plane to fly, maybe I'm going overseas. I'd take a nap on that plane. I'll read. I'll write.
I'll watch a wholesome movie. And uh all's good. No problem. Uh I could do something crazy and try to open the emergency door and jump out. But otherwise, I'm safe and secure.
So listen, Edison, I want to send you a free copy of my new book, The Grace Controversy, also. I think it'll answer a lot more of your questions. and help you to trust God's giving you promises, man. Those promises are good. And if you had rejected him and he had rejected you, you wouldn't be on the phone making this call or troubled about these issues.
Your confidence is in the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all sin. All right, Betsy's going to get your address. I'm going to send you a free copy of my new book, 866-34TRUTH. We go to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Michael, welcome to the line of fire.
Hey, Dr. Thanks for having me. Sure thing.
So I'm 30 years old here. I've been in church my entire life. Can you hear me okay, or am I breaking up? You're good. You're good.
Okay. church my entire life. And pretty much learned a lot from your books. Your books have helped greatly. And I'm just really, I guess, disappointed with the current state of the church.
You know, I haven't found the church. I've been assemblies of God. I've gone to non-denom non-denominational. I've called a bunch of uh churches all around here and asked them what they thought of different you know, subjects uh such as other religions, Um and uh homosexuality. And it's pretty much an overwhelming majority were okay with both.
And um, you know, I just feel like the Um churches like a social club. and where everyone goes and puts on a happy face. the current state for most churches. at least, you know, the Joel Olstein type deal with the mega church um where it's not like great discipleship or not like Great fruit. It's just people go there and then they leave, and the pastor preaches a thirty-minute sermon and Addeals till next week.
Do you see this? Sure thing.
Yeah, let let me weigh in. And Michael, I appreciate. That we've been able to have a positive impact on you through books and other means.
So I'm glad for that. Number one, If you're talking to quote churches That says other religions are fine, there are other ways to God. They're not churches at all. They may go by that, but they're not true churches. They're not connected with Jesus and the scriptures.
They are just liberal. uh groups claiming to be Christian, but they've departed from the faith. Uh, so that's one we completely eliminate them now. There are plenty of others. That the people are saved and know the Lord, and the pastor knows the Lord.
However, However, the Uh There is a lot of compromise. There's a lack of discipleship. There's a watered-down gospel. It's what's in it for me, the cross is bypassed. That's a large percentage of the American church is in a compromised state.
Much of it backslidden, as I've written now for, what, 30 years almost.
So there needs to be revival and awakening in the church.
However, Michael, all around America, I I'm in demand to speak. On all these issues, because there are plenty of people who are hungry and thirsty. Because there are plenty of believers who are serious and want the Lord. I'm on these radio stations because these radio stations share our heart, share our conviction the same way.
So, um I'm sure in your area there have to be other churches that are preaching the gospel. I'm sure in your area, whether it's a house church or a megachurch. And by the way, I'm friends with megachurch pastors that burn for righteousness, that love Jesus, that are serious about the word, serious about discipleship. And there are other mega church pastors that are, you know, preach a watered-down message.
So there's a lot of backsliding and compromise out there. But, Michael, there are plenty of believers, I'm sure, in your city.
So, Lord, lead Michael. To a fellowship, be it in a house, be it in a church building, other men and women who love Jesus and are willing to stand for what's right. May He connect with them so they can bear fruit together. Amen. It's the line of fire with your host, Dr.
Michael Brown, your voice of moral, cultural, and spiritual revolution. Here again is Dr. Michael Brown. Thanks for joining us on the line of fire. You've got questions, we've got answers.
If you have not yet, Read my important article calling for national civil disobedience to President Obama over his transgender bathroom mandate. Yes, we reach out to all people with compassion. No, we do not turn the world upside down to accommodate the few who struggle. Please read it. Please share it with others.
This is an urgent moment to jump on in terms of national consciousness. As I tweeted out before, I drew a line in the sand. Enough is enough. It's time to take a stand for moral sanity. 866-34TRUTH.
We go to Monroe, North Carolina. Gene, welcome to the line of fire. Dr. Brown, I'm on the I really appreciate your ministry. My question is about cremation.
Okay, for a Christian to be cremated. Uh Jean. The Bible does not address it. Absolutely directly. You could make a strong argument that cremation goes against the honoring of the body.
Bodies were to be buried, not to be left out to the elements, where animals could eat a body or could just rot away under the elements. Bodies were buried. We look forward to a bodily resurrection. For reasons like that, a cremation has been frowned on. A caller though a few years ago pointed out to me, maybe a year or two ago, that the the bones of certain people in the Bible were burned.
That there was some type of cremation that took place, even though it wasn't just a holistic burning of the body.
So I would say. I'm not personally at home with it. I've had relatives who were cremated, although I'm not personally at home with it, but I would never stand in judgment over someone. whose will called for there to be cremated, or whose family members decided in absence of a will to cremate that individual, I would not stand in judgment over them.
So I have personal reservations about it. I have friends who speak strongly against it, and But I would hesitate about being dogmatic, and I would absolutely not want to condemn anyone whose relative was cremated or who had that in their will to be cremated. I would ask them to consider about the importance of preserving the body and the things related to it, but I wouldn't be dogmatic over it. That's my own view, sir. Thank you very much, Dr.
Brown. You are very welcome. 866-348-7884. Seagrove, North Carolina. Todd, welcome to the line of fire.
Thank you, Dr. Brown. I have a couple of questions for you. The first is about Bible translations. Uh when the Bible is translated into other languages, Is it being taken from the Hebrew and Greek text or from the English text?
All right, so which specifically, when you're asking about translations, I'm not sure I followed your question.
Well, when the Bible is translated into other languages, I've wondered for a while. Uh uh oh oh okay.
So other languages meaning outside of English, got it. For example, you have like an old Chinese translation that was translated from the English into Chinese. I believe it's an old Spanish translation that was translated from Spanish, from English into Spanish. But the more modern translations are directly from the Hebrew and the Greek into that particular language.
So it all depends on the aptitude of the Bible translators. In other words, if the only Bible that the translator had was an English Bible. And let's say that it was an English speaker who was fluent in Chinese. Right. But had no background in Hebrew or Greek, then that translation, you know, a few hundred years ago would have been, say, from the King James, most likely, or a Catholic translation, would have been from that.
Interesting. Uh Chinese.
So, ideally, that's not the best way because you've lost the step. You've gone from Hebrew and Greek to English, now to Chinese, so you've lost the step. The more modern translations, though, sir, are directly from the original biblical text into the target language, even in tribal dialects and things like that. The translators have more affinity with the original biblical languages.
So that's the answer to that. The older translations, as I say, a lot of them were from English into the other language. But more and more and more, there are direct translations from the Hebrew and Greek into the various languages around the world. Thank you, sir, for the question. 866-348-7884.
Lintrail in Mansfield, Ohio. Welcome to the line of fire. Hey, how you doing, my dear brother? Doing well, thanks.
Well, I just was wondering uh maybe if I can glean some wisdom from you about revival. It seems uh that God is stirring um A group of young people in my community. It does it seem as if God is touching The leaders and some of the pastors, in the same way that he's touching these young people in the community. And so I was just wondering, how do we go forward as God is stirring our hearts and We almost feel like uh In your book, How to Rock It's Time to Rock the Boat, Chapter 2, we almost feel like the Lord troublemaker. as we are being stored in We see that God wants to bring revival here, but everybody's not on the same page.
How do we go forward with this conviction knowing that this is What we believe God wants to do. Yes, sir. I remember talking to youth pastors We had a rally. I was speaking for young people, and the youth pastors were getting really impacted. The young people were getting really impacted.
And they said, What if we go back to our church and our pastor doesn't agree with us? We go back to our home church and our pastor doesn't share the same fire. What do we do? And you know, we talk that through.
So, number one, number one. Uh what you want to do is keep fanning the flames of those fires. and the fellow young people. Pray together, get out on the streets and share the gospel together, worship together. Do whatever you can to keep the flame burning.
That's number one. Number two, make sure that your attitude is honoring towards others. You don't want to get a bad attitude for pastors or elders that don't share the fire or a condescending attitude because now there's spiritual pride and you're in the flesh or there's divisiveness.
So you want to guard against that. If you're really being touched by a revival fire, it'll produce a graciousness and a humility. Number three, I would appeal to any of the key leaders and say. You're our leaders, and for some, you're the fathers in the face to us. God's doing something unique.
There's something burning among the young people.
Something's happening. Could you give us some words of encouragement? Could you help us go deeper? And, Pastor, could you be praying for awakening in the church?
Now, if the leaders shut it down, they're hostile, they're negative, we don't want this, we don't believe in this, you're fanatics, you're emotional, there is no revival. then you're probably going to have to find another home. If they just don't share it, but they don't put it out, well, then let the fire continue to burn, let the fire continue to spread, but in a way that doesn't attack or malign the church as a whole. In other words, rather than saying you guys are all backslidden, you're all asleep, just keep the fire burning bright, and others who are hungry and others who are thirsty will be touched.
So, guard your attitudes. That's the key thing. Pray for the leaders in a way that if they were in the room, they would say amen. And then keep the fire burning, man. By God's grace, it's a sacred thing.
Do what you can to cooperate with the Lord and call us again if you need more wisdom. Gotta run. It's the line of fire with your host, activist, author, international speaker, and theologian Dr. Michael Brown. Your voice of moral, cultural, and spiritual revolution.
Get into the line of fire now by calling 866-34 Truth. Here again is Dr. Michael Brown. What a day, what a day to be alive. The Obama administration, as expected, has issued an edict For all public schools to cater to those struggling with gender identity issues.
Again, what does that mean? It means that your teenage daughter could be required to use the locker room and shower facilities in her school side by side with a boy who identifies as a girl. That your kindergartners Could have to accept that the boy they knew as Johnny is now the girl Janie. and have to call him her even though he's still obviously him And when he wants to use the bathroom with the other kindergarten girls, and they feel funny because Johnny's a boy. Why is Johnny called Jane in the bathroom with us now?
That those kids are disregarded, their feelings, their sensitivities, their needs are disregarded. Instead, you want to help the one kid. Who is struggling? Friends, please take the time to read my latest article, A Call for National Civil Disobedience to the President. With all respect, we say to the White House, We will not comply.
In good conscience, before God, we cannot comply. Read the article, share it with friends. You say, I want to do something. The article will tell you things you can do, but the first thing you can do is share it with others. If you're on Facebook, go to Ask Dr.
Brown, ASKDR Brown on Facebook. I've got a short video along with the link to the article. And then if you're on Twitter, we've posted it there as well, Dr. Michael L. Brown, D.R.
Michael L. Brown. We can reach out to those who are marginalized and struggling without sacrificing our children at the altar of political correctness. 866-34TRUTH. You've got questions, we've got answers, friends.
As we say that there is a need for a gospel-based moral and cultural revolution, I trust you'll understand more and more that these are not just empty words or words of a radio broadcaster. These are urgent societal needs. 866-34TRUTH. Let's go to Blue Springs, Missouri. Jared, welcome to the line of fire.
Hi, how are you today? Doing well, thanks.
Yeah.
So, my question is on the flag waving and the dancing, the flag dancing thing that is going on. This is something that's new. I've never seen it before. I understand that it's been around for a while in the reading that I've done about it. Um, and I've tried to In the last probably month or so, it's beginning gradually starting to to come into our church.
And uh Just I started looking for a scriptural basis on it and I couldn't find anything. Anything, any reference they had was definitely vague and culturally, in my opinion, culturally irrelevant. to our society. Um as opposed to Yeah, uh The Old Testament origins of their very vague references. I'm sure that there's probably a piece of the puzzle that I'm missing, and I'm hoping that you could kind of help me to understand it or see it out of a different lens.
Yeah.
Maybe understand it if it is scriptural. Then I want to be a part of it. And if it's not, then I want to stay away from it as far as possible. Yeah, well, I appreciate your attitude there very much, and your desire to honor the Lord and always looking at the Word. And let me say that there are certain things that are not explicitly good or bad in Scripture.
In other words, There are things that are extra-biblical. that are part of our practices that are not explicitly addressed in Scripture. And then there are things that are thoroughly biblical that God makes plain: do this, do that, you know, the preaching and teaching of the word, and worship and prayer, and things like that. And then there are other things that are unbiblical. You know, for example, someone claiming to speak in the Spirit and say, Jesus, be accursed.
So we're talking about something here that is extra-biblical. In other words, if someone says, hey, we're holding up a banner. As we're singing about God being a consuming fire or God being a refinery's fire, we hold up this banner that shows a fire or we rave this red flag that speaks of fire. That's not explicitly taught in the Bible to do, nor is it forbidden.
So how do we respond to that? And is there any scriptural reference at all? I'll finish this on the other side of the break. Thanks for the question, Sherry. God of light, hear our cry, send a fire.
It's the line of fire with your host, Dr. Michael Brown, your voice of moral, cultural, and spiritual revolution. Here again is Dr. Michael Brown. Welcome back to the line of fire.
You've got questions, we've got answers.
866-34-TRUTH.
So, Jared in Blue Springs, Missouri, back to you on the question of banners, flags. I'm not a flag waver myself, you know, grabbing something and waving it in a service. I've seen it done. as part of pageantry as part of majesty Just like there was something majestic, say, with the old cathedrals and pipe organs and choirs, there's something visually majestic sometimes to banners, maybe proclaiming who the Lord is.
So you say, well, is there scriptural basis?
Well, you might point to a verse like Psalm 20. Verse uh verse six. or some translations would be verse five, six in Hebrew, five in our English Bibles. For example, Um And again, this is going to vary from translations, but the complete Jewish Bible, then we will shout for joy at your victory and fly our flags in the name of our God. Another translation: may we shout for joy when we hear of your victory and raise a victory banner.
In the name of our God. Uh when when uh It's proclaimed by the people of Israel, Moses, the Lord is my banner. He makes that declaration. The Lord is my banner.
So the idea of having banners, there were banners for the tribes of Israel and things like that. There were banners that could be used for military purposes, others with spiritual messages. That's in the Bible. To incorporate them into a church service. If it glorifies the Lord and is not a distraction, great.
I know in some places it's front and center. because it's part of a worship celebration and part of the pageantry. Of worship. In other places, it's more off to the side, so people aren't distracted. Um I'm at home in settings that do this.
I'm at home in settings that don't do it. I would look at the larger picture, Jerry. If Jesus is being exalted in worship, If the Holy Spirit is moving, If the word is being preached, That would be the big thing to me. if if there were banners or not would be very secondary to me. I've seen a lot of silliness.
with everything is flag waving and banner waving and you know circle dancing and all that, and there seems to be no concentration on the on the message of the words of the songs. And I've seen a lot of deadness where everybody sits there the sits in their pew like they're at a cemetery.
So I'm all for the excitement, the enthusiasm, but I would make that the secondary issue, sir. You could say there's some scriptural basis. I once. Kind of Said mockingly, Oh, yeah, you got to be in the spirit and pick, you know, the right flag. Oh, it's the wrong color, get this and that.
And somebody lovingly rebuked me. They gave me this verse from Isaiah, which doesn't come to mind off the top of my head. And it was all about banners and flags. And so they said, That's exactly what we're doing. But I would make that the secondary issue, sir.
that if everything else is good and solid, wonderful. If it becomes this whole focus where this is it, and people aren't even paying attention to the content of the songs they're singing, and there's no depth, and you don't get past the initial celebration into real depth, then that would be the bigger issue to me. But I wouldn't make it a I wouldn't make it a um Uh A life changer, either way. I mean, that would be secondary in the larger things I'd be looking at.
So I wouldn't run from it, I wouldn't run towards it. All right, that would be my position. But thank you. I appreciate the question. 866-34TRUTH.
Let's go to Charlotte, North Carolina. Charles, welcome to the line of fire. Hi, three things. First, thank you, thank you, thank you for calling for civil disobedience. And I went on the stream.org.
I heard you in the car a while ago. That's why I called. Second thing, I have a prayer request. to please pray for the Methodist General Conference, which is meeting right now in Oregon, that they will retain the what the Book of Discipline says, that the practice of homosexuality is incompatible with Christian teaching. Really need a lot of prayer about that.
Yeah, and let me just jump in on that before you get to your third point. And thank you. Thank you for your words of affirmation. Yeah, the Methodist Church is at a critical moment. A hundred.
pastors recently have come out as LGBT. And the biggest problem, Charles, with Methodism is it's lost a lot of its early fire. That those that are really passionate for the word and passionate for prayer and passionate for holiness, they're not going to be the ones who are driving an agenda to redefine marriage and to ordain homosexual clergy and things like that. But there's so much compromise in the church. I think there are more Muslims in America today than Methodists.
That's how much the fire has gone out.
So without revival, it's going to go the way of liberalism, and then it'll split. Without revival, the inevitable thing is it's going to go the way of liberalism and the conservatives will split. And you'll have two major Methodist denominations, just like you have, say, with Presbyterians and Lutherans and things like that.
Sometimes even more than two. But absolutely, especially for the many Methodists out there listening. Pray. For the assembly, that the fear of God would be there, that the love of God would be there, that they would not try to twist scripture and twist the book of discipline, but they'd realize that these words are words of life. Yeah, thanks for sharing that with us.
Yes, number three.
Okay. Here's a proposal, and I hope you can take a couple of minutes or so. I have already been to the legislature, and I'm planning to go back probably. And I got this out to all the delegates at the Republican convention last weekend. What I'm calling for I'm Titling it either, well, on the sheet I gave out, I called it Liberty Restoration Act, but I'm thinking maybe Liberty Preservation Act.
Act might be more hopefully we have not lost liberty completely. Yeah.
Now Here here's what I think. the law needs to address only Liberty and Discrimination. because discrimination has gained the upper hand over the last fifty years, and we need to restore The meaning of liberty because it's in the Constitution, discrimination is not.
Okay. And here's what I see as the crux. We looked at the Yeah, this 64 civil rights legislation, we've looked at it from the framework of discrimination. Again, that's not a word in the Constitution. We need to view it from the perspective of liberty.
What? those laws were valid because what they did was to res to uh restore or give black people the individual liberty they had been denied through segregation laws. by government.
Okay. Their individual liberty had been denied.
So the civil rights legislation was valid because it corrected. The denial of liberty Not Not because it stop people from discriminating against black people. I think that's a critical distinction. And that's why we need to reframe everything in terms of liberty, which is the constitutional word.
Now The critical distinction as I see it here is that again, it was we have to differentiate between individual Liberty. And individual discrimination and societal discrimination. That's key. Because what was present then was societal discrimination. Individual discrimination is simply another term for individual liberty.
Right, so that's what they means the right to discriminate. Right, so the question is, how, and I've just got to jump in. I wanted to let you get that out as much as possible, but I've got a break coming up here. obviously constitutionally. And Declaration of Independence, self-evident rights of all human beings.
uh say slavery denied that. The the Declaration of Independence are constitutional principles, the founding principles of our nation, liberty and equality for all, denied that to slaves and therefore to a class of people in America. and to the extent they were not recognized as fully human beings. That was an issue.
So in that respect, everybody Men, women, children. Those who identify as gay, straight, bi, transgender, whatever. They all have fundamental liberties protected. by our Constitution. Does that mean redefining marriage?
No. Does that mean trampling on the rights of others? No. Does it mean. affirmation of all behaviors and desires, none of the above.
So Charles, it's an uphill battle. To get people to think like this, but you're right in approaching this in a more holistic way. You're right in recognizing that If we just say we can't discriminate based on sexual orientation and gender identity, well, no, we don't want those categories. Where you say you should discriminate against those people, it could almost be a vicious cycle there. Thanks for your efforts and thanks for calling in.
Much appreciated. All right, friends, we've got a break. Number to call 866-348-7884. And Michael and Corpus Christi, you're going to be next when we come back. I like your question and I want to address it right here.
on the line of fire. Remember what Governor McCrory has been saying, Governor of North Carolina. What the government's trying to do to North Carolina, it's trying to do to the whole country. If you didn't believe him then, you got to believe him now. We'll be right back.
It's the line of fire with your host, Dr. Michael Brown. Get into the line of fire now by calling 866-34TRUTH. Here again is Dr. Michael Brown.
Welcome, welcome to the line of fire. You've got questions, we've got answers.
866-34-TRUTH.
Let me remind you once more. If you have not yet read my article, A National Call to Civil Disobedience. A national call to disobey the president's edict about transgender bathroom access in all public schools. Please go to my website, askdrbrown.org. Please go there and read the article as soon as possible and share it as widely as you can.
All right, we go to Corpus Christi, Texas. Michael, welcome to the line of fire. Hi, Doctor Brown. Good to talk to you again, sir. I was just wondering how's North Carolina doing?
So far, as far as I know, the governor, he's been standing his ground.
So that's pretty good. He hasn't caved in like everybody else yet. And I forgot what other state is doing the same thing. Was it Missouri or Mississippi? Yeah, there are other states.
I mean, cities like Houston have taken stands. Other states have taken stands for religious liberties and protections.
So here on the ground in North Carolina, a lot of things are going on. Where there have been rallies, Yeah. Let's say the last one, there are I think over 4,000 standing with him and several dozen protesters against.
So you might get the impression that everybody's in a state of uproar over this. From everything I know, the large majority of the people of North Carolina are still standing with the government and the legislature. That's number one. You know what's funny, Doc? Hang on.
Yeah, let me just give you a couple more details. Number two. Um The government has now said, okay, we're not going to impose penalties while this is working through the courts.
So Governor McCrory has said that's what you have to do. You stand up to the bullies. He's taken that as a victory. And then number three, North Carolina was just voted, interesting timing, the third best. uh state in the nation for businesses.
And CEOs weighing in on all that.
So, in other words, the whole idea is this backwoods or negative. This is a complete myth. It's a great place to be. It's a place growing. It's a place expanding.
And everything was fine until the radical gay activists and their allies pushed to get this bathroom bill through so that the bathrooms and locker rooms in the city of Charlotte, public bathrooms and locker rooms, would effectively become gender neutral. Everything was fine before that.
So, what's happened now is there is a pushback by the government. Obviously, there's pressure. The elections coming up are going to be very major. Will Attorney General Roy Cooper, who is radical liberal, who wouldn't even defend the state of North Carolina, and is actually encouraging companies to boycott the state? I mean, think of that.
Will he win? If he wins the election, that'll be a major, major blow. If the people stand with Governor McCrory and he wins, that will be a message to the nation.
So it's essential that North Carolina stands strong right now, and it's essential that other governors across the country stand up. And Governor McCory said, look, the human rights campaign, Chad Griffin made clear to him, I believe the head of human rights campaign Chad Griffin himself did, but they made clear to him, North Carolina is our target, but this is the rest of the nation. What we're doing here, we want to do through the rest of the nation. And now that the Obama administration has said, yeah, this is the rule for the rest of the nation, I believe that they have overplayed their hand, that they are once again waking up a sleeping giant.
So now is the time for national pushback.
Well, like I was going to say, Dr. Brown, what's funny is here locally at home, all the gay supporters who support gays, they're even against the they're they're they're against the bathroom bill. You know, I mean, what I'm they're for, they're for Governor McCurry.
So they're I told them they're not being like consistent. It's funny that they support all the the homosexuals and transgender, but yet they don't want them going in the bathroom where their daughters or wives are at. Yeah, it's interesting. In fact, there are gay activists who are upset now because they say this is hurting our movement. In other words, we don't need to be LGBT.
Let's get rid of the T part. This is hurting our movement. Others stand in strong solidarity. But yeah, look, it's just common sense. It's not hatred, it's not bigotry, it's not transphobia, it's just Common sense.
Hey, Michael, thank you for the call. Much appreciated. I'm going to read some of my article. You can read the rest at stream.org: A Call for National Civil Disobedience to Obama's Public School Transgender Bathroom Mandate. There are times in history when obedience to God means disobedience to man.
This is one of those times.
Now that the Obama administration has announced that public schools must allow boys who identify as girls to use the girls' bathrooms and locker rooms, meaning an effect that teenage girls must undress and shower in the presence of biological males, it is time to say, With all respect to the authority of the federal government, we refuse to comply with your mandate. Across the nation, parents, school boards, principals, administrators, and teachers must say no to President Obama and his administration. They must do it for the sake of the children. They must do it for the sake of moral sanity. They must do it to honor the Lord.
Enough is enough. Too many lines have been crossed, too many moral values have been trashed, and too much common sense has been ignored, all in the name of radical LGBT activism.
Now that activism has gone too far, Now that activism has gone too far. Let's remember that.
Well, look at this. Can you believe it? A phone was on in my room, my own phone, as I am in the middle of. reading my article Turned up because I had to do an interview before, otherwise, it is always turned down. My bad.
Don't look for your phone, that was me, my bad.
Now, that activism has gone too far. Let's remember that.
Kids who identify as transgender represent the tiniest minority of the population, perhaps two or three out of a thousand. The great majority of kids who identify as transgender do not do so once they pass through puberty, so for most of them this is a temporary condition.
Some parents of transgender identified kids along with LGBT activists have rejected compassionate solutions for these kids such as letting them use a faculty single stall bathroom. Instead, they insist that the child's struggles be imposed on the rest of the students. Parents of transgender identified kids along with LGBT activists have also sought to introduce radical transgender curriculum to students as young as five. Students are ignoring reports, schools are ignoring reports of other children feeling violated, embarrassed, and even traumatized by the presence of kids of the opposite biological sex in their bathrooms and locker rooms. And the parents of those traumatized kids have been told that nothing can be done because of laws against discrimination based on gender identity.
Already one university that introduced gender-neutral shower stalls had to re-evaluate its policy after heterosexual males were caught using cell phones to record the girls showering in the adjoining stalls.
Some kids have admitted to using transgender identity as a way to push back against the dominant society. In the vast majority of cases, we're not talking about children with biological or chromosomal abnormalities, and mental health professionals and brain scientists still do not agree as to the exact nature of transgender identification. The American College of Pediatricians, branded a hate group by its radical critics, issued a documented statement urging educators and legislators to reject all policies that condition children to accept as normal a life of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex. Facts, not ideology, determine reality. Friends, that's all the time I have to read this on the air.
But please, let's stand together. Let's be a voice together. Say, what do I do? Go to stream.org, read my article on a call to national civil disobedience to President Obama. Share it with your friends.
Email it to them. Share it on Facebook. Tweet it out. Let's get the message out. Let's take a stand.
It's time. We'll reach out to the marginalized and the hurting. without sacrificing our children on the altar of political correctness. My bottom line today, no excuses, no sitting on the sidelines.
Now's the time to do it's right for the next generation.
