Forgiveness is a required subject in God's curriculum, and it's essential to Christianity. Jesus teaches that forgiveness is not limited to a certain number of times, but rather it's a continuous process. The parable of the king and his servant illustrates the importance of vertical forgiveness, where God forgives us our debt of sin, and horizontal forgiveness, where we forgive others.
