Hello. Thank you for having me. It is always a joy to have you. It's always good to see you. Thank you.
Talk to me to remind my audience, you know, it's been maybe a little bit since they've seen you last. But talk to me about you suffered from MS. Right.
I'm going to be 68 years of age. And when I was 28, so it's like 40 years ago, yeah, I was diagnosed with having multiple sclerosis. And then I also had pernicious anemia, which is a very bad form of anemia.
Right. But 40% of all people who have multiple sclerosis also has pernicious anemia. And the amazing thing is, is very few neurologists even check for it, connect it.
Yeah, they just don't even look for it. And it's inability to absorb vitamin B12. And if you are deficient in vitamin B12, it's a demyelinating disease. In other words, a plastic sheath that's over the nerve, if you like pretend it's a wire, that comes off in MS. And pernicious and vitamin B12 deficiency is a demyelinating disease. And so is multiple sclerosis. So they're very interconnected. And so of course, you didn't know that initially.
No, no, I didn't know that. You were diagnosed at 28 with MS. And basically what it was is there were no drugs. There was absolutely nothing available. Okay. At that time. So I basically had to make food by medicine. So that's what I did is made food by medicine.
Okay. And I started eating what I thought was healthier at the time. I mean, you know, but anyhow, I just started eating healthier food. And I remember going to a doctor one time and telling him I was so proud of myself that I was eating all these fruits and vegetables and stuff like this. And this was back in the 80s. Doctors don't talk this way to women anymore. But it was a different, it was a different time back then. And I remember telling this doctor was so happy that it was feeling so much better because I was eating all these fruits and vegetables. And he just looked at me and he said, if you want to go and eat some stupid rabbit food diet, go right ahead. But you need to face facts.
And the facts are first, it's going to be a cane, then it's going to be a walker, then it's going to be a wheelchair, and then you're going to croak. You know, and that's pretty much in that time because it was before there were drugs that, you know, they, that was just how they did it. I mean, that was just their whole idea. That was their mindset. That was it.
That was it. And then, you know, then in 1994, that's when they had the first interferon drug. It was a lottery to get into it for MS. I didn't get into the lottery because I was independently insured.
My insurance company wouldn't cover it because it was an experimental drug. And I later found out, and I cried so hard, I wanted, I prayed and prayed and prayed to God, please, you know, I want to get into the lottery. And I was rejected.
And later found out that everybody who got into the MS lottery in 1994 died of either leukemia or conjunctive heart failure killed him before the leukemia death. Yeah. So, God's rejection is your protection. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. So then I, you know, was, I used to take just an enormous amount of supplements.
Okay. In fact, in 1991, I took $429 worth of supplements, which I don't know, that's probably $1,200 now worth of supplements. And really, well, if I took them or I didn't take them, I really didn't know this difference.
And I don't know if you know about taking B12 supplements, but they stink. If they're good ones, they stink. I mean, it was tough to get them down the hatch. And so, anyhow, my mother, she goes, oh, Andrea, that's so foolish. And she said, you know, why, she'd be a hundred years old if she were alive now.
And she was like, that's so foolish. Why don't you just take blackstrap molasses? And that's all you need. And so I ended up doing the research. And if you read Odell Davis at the time or Bernard Jensen or walk or anything, they all promoted blackstrap molasses.
In fact, they use it in animal feed all the time. So I did that for many years. And I mean, I got some benefit from it, but not a lot. And so then I had a really bad MS episode in 2005.
I always had them all through the, um, I'm kind of jumping ahead in the story, but the last two MS episodes I had, I had a really bad one in 2005 and then another really bad one in 2007. Okay. And, um, so, um, you know, what was going on.
So basically it was in 2009. Um, all of a sudden the German studies all came out about how wonderful, uh, dark cocoa was. And so, and so what I did is I, at that time I put some cocoa into my blackstrap molasses, started stirring it.
Okay. And I mean, I liked it. My friends all thought it was horrible, you know, you know, and I was putting it in hot water and, um, I liked it. And so then I started messing with it and I started doing research into, um, um, nutritious sugars or syrups. And, you know, a lot of people, uh, they don't, you know, uh, everyone thinks all sugar is the same. I define sugar. There's good sugars and there's bad sugars. And a sugar is a good sugar. If it has nutritional value, a sugar is a bad sugar. If it has no nutritional value to it, like high fructose corn syrup, white, processed white sugar, um, corn syrup. I don't know if that has a little bit of it, but anyhow, if it's void of nutrition, it's a bad sugar. Okay.
Because, um, uh, you know, uh, dates and, um, uh, you know, other things, they have lots of nutrition in it and it's sugar. But yeah, so. Keep talking. You're fine. I got to change shares.
He's got to change shares. Okay. I was a little confused. I was a little confused. So anyhow, um, so I've, I discovered, um, maple syrup maple syrup has 54 different, um, antioxidants in it. So I put that in my coco lasses and then the sap of the coconut tree, which has no allergic possibility, uh, to it is because it doesn't come from the nut. It's, it's the sap of the tree that has, um, uh, uh, 17 different amino acids. And I, I put, I combined it all together, but my secret sauce in this whole thing is I fermented it.

country patriot radio here on this glorious tuesday one week away from the big midterm election matt are you with me yeah i am i was um trying to get uh buttons all uh yeah um i am now we're good now we're good to go now good morning pastor reg good morning mr long nice to be with you and hello to the hill country patriot folks and uh the matt long show welcome to the chosen generation radio program great to have you with me oh thank you very much someone just came into the studio saying matt see i'm still in here learning the buttons how many years you've been pushing these buttons pastor greg eleven years okay all right all right eleven eleven years and and and and and every once in a while even today uh you know there are uh hiccups so yeah but we got past them we're good to go um and uh yeah i think i've been pushing the buttons for about 11 days but i'm getting better at actually we're gonna stick around late today and harley's gonna give me some more lessons but let's talk about uh let's talk about what we were discussing last night um we went off on all kinds of rabbit holes and i'm sure we will randomly pick one of those rabbit holes to go down today in the few minutes we have but there was an article that someone sent me yesterday uh by bob russell ministries and it said don't make the same mistakes as pastors in pre-nazi germany now i know that there's been a lot of criticism racially about people referring to each other as nazis and and and uh things like that and i know that is uh when you get the name calling your you're down to your last uh your last battle and yet when we get to this article there's some very important things they talked about how the pastors um in the leading up to uh hitler's power decided to stay quiet they were gonna pastor greg they decided they were gonna stay politically neutral golly gee i'm glad that pastors and churches don't do that today that would be terrible wouldn't it yeah that would be yeah that would be really that would be really bad if uh if they if they decided to uh to try to stay apolitical you know the the problem with that concept is is a complete and total disconnect from from the reality that you know what we're what we're battling is a religion communism is a religion and and and it's and it's it is its own god it's atheism and it's its own god and and that was uh that's a quote from from lenin he you know they they claimed that communism was their god it was their religion and and so you know our our own supreme court identified that secular humanism was identified as as a religion i believe the case is the is tadasco is is the case but uh but they identified that secular humanism was a religion i was talking about this earlier in my program today you know evolution and and and the and the idea of of where we came from and of course you know if you understand the this whole theory of evolution if you eliminate the creator then you begin to eliminate our building blocks and one of the things we talked about last night uh was we talked about seeker friendly and i'll get to that in a second matt but we also talked about establishment yeah yeah and and you know if folks you know many many and i know in the hill country in particular a lot of our audiences is is our age you know 60 or greater and we remember the 1960s and and we remember the the the communist student groups and that's what they were they were communist student groups and they would rail against the establishment remember that they were establishment absolutely and and what was the establishment well the establishment was traditional values the establishment was god and the bible and prayer and a mom and a dad and the importance of parents and and the importance of clean living and all of the things that made america great all of the great values that america had had for 150 years this student movement came in and said that's the establishment it's interesting because today we look at the quote-unquote establishment and we say oh those are the bad guys the establishment the establishment now listen i'm not going to tell you that the guys that were calling the establishment that that whole situation isn't bad what i'm going to say to you is is we need to take back that word the government of the united states of america was established by we the people we the people are the establishment we the people are the ones who give the government the power to do one thing and one thing only and that is protect our rights and when they stop protecting our rights they stop governing with our consent period that was such an eye yeah that was such an eye opener to me because over the last few years i've heard it you know the same thing and you mentioned the 60s i don't remember the 60s i was born in 59 and and i remember you know from the 60s i remember the mexico city olympics from 68 but it wasn't really till the mid or late 70s where i was paying attention to more than just you know what was right there in front of me and yes i worked i helped up with jimmy carter signs out in front yard before i was old enough to um to vote um and so yeah and the point at that time was you're right it was the establishment now remember in college um was uh when the free when the free cheese came around i was in college when the you could get the five pound block the cheese and all that and i remember sitting around with roommates and friends talking about how what if everybody went and got the cheese what if everybody did the went and got welfare what didn't we bring the whole system down and that was kind of the the where we were at what i was being led blindly that we got to tear the whole system down and start over now i i wasn't one of those screaming crazies in uh marching down the street in the late 70s that wasn't me but just being around that and hearing uh that kind of language and it was all about being against the establishment and so i all all of a sudden i just went to automatic saying well yeah here i am still fighting the establishment but i love the way you put that that is so perfectly true we that the judo christian founders of this country are the establishment and we need to take it back they know what was the next line in there so is that the next line that that we that we drew out from that i thought was was significant and that was this idea of seeker friendly and and just the concept of understanding that look when someone comes to church when they're there we don't we don't need to pussyfoot around they're there because they know that something's not right in their life they're looking for an answer they're seeking an answer they know that something's amiss something's not connecting right they're they're not satisfied with the life that they're living and so they are there pursuing they're saying okay i'm here here i'm looking to find something that's going to change my life something that's going to make my life better and we have the gospel message of jesus christ that transforms the life so we don't need to put around and say oh well look every single one of us every one of us struggled or struggles with sin until we get set free by jesus christ and the message of the gospel is guess what we have the answer we have the answer so we need to stopping oh i need to be sensitive about you know i don't want to offend them listen you're if somebody's coming they know they've got issues that's why they're there that's why they're there it's not a news it's not a news flash it's not a news flash to say hey you've got some issues i know that it's why i'm here do you have an answer you know a lot of this is coming from eric mataxas book you have the new book called letter to nazi movement in in in germany in europe and one of the things he reports that out of his research is that the spiritual leaders in germany were convinced that if they took a public stand against that biblical glasses i i got an email from a friend uh that um i want to just kind of bring to your attention talking about something that then actually tucker garleson brought this up uh it's it's been out there now a bit and that has to do with the uh with the diesel shortage and what that potentially looks like uh there was a report that we had about 25 days of backup diesel reserves uh there's more conversation now coming out that sometime in the next three weeks we're going to start to see a serious issue i will keep you posted on that i have uh some potential inside track to some of that information so i will let you know if i hear anything if uh if there's any buzz about that that's that i can really put my finger on but you know it it is disconcerting uh to think about because if if there's a diesel shortage then that means there's a uh a a trucking issue and trucks are still one of the primary means by which our grocery stores and our supply chain gets a lot of the supplies and so if trucks are are not able to pick up from the trains or the docks because there's no diesel you're going to have food sitting on ships or sitting on train cars going rotten because there's no way to move it you know if you if you have a personal garden you're going to be way ahead of the game if you have stocked up on on food and there's so many different places to go now to you know purchase of that nature are not happening and supply and the supply chain gets broken and then how do we how do we address that issue and how do we protect ourselves from criminals and so on because obviously there's going to be that kind of element and and there's going to be individuals that are that are going to steal and there's going to be individuals that are going to feel forced to take steps that they would not otherwise take and and this speaks directly also to to the church you know the word of god tells us that we're supposed to have a storehouse unfortunately because of a lot of disinformation and and and mismanagement and just so many different things lies in deception i believe truthfully there's you know if if if a church or or or a or a ministry talks about prosperity or or any of those kinds of things it oh my gosh that's a terrible thing it's bad well if if the church is appropriately had the right amount of funding and then used that funding to prepare so that they were a place a source a food bank if you will a clothing bank and and so that they could provide not just the spiritual needs of the people which is critically important but then also to be able to help provide for physical needs for those that were in need or in this case perhaps in the in the potential that there is a catastrophic event of some sort that the church is able to step in and and make the difference lots for us to think about folks lots for us to be in prayer about if uh and and you know we're we're sitting here at our we're we're sitting here at our children generation radio
