The author of the greatest comeback in political history, Donald Trump, is on a roll, but his opponent, Kamala Harris, failed to address important points in her interview, instead launching baseless attacks against Trump and avoiding accountability for her position on the border and transgender reassignment surgery.

Chris, welcome back. What's your takeaway from last night's one-on-one between Brett Baier and Vice President Harris?

Brian, thank you again for having me and appreciate all your listeners tuning in. First of all, the author of the greatest comeback in political history will be none other than Donald Trump. I mean, he's just been on a roll and things are looking really solid. But last night, if anyone tuned in last night to try to figure out maybe a little bit about the candidacy of Kamala Harris or what she stood for or why she's running, they would have been sorely disappointed. I thought that the interview for her was a complete and utter disaster. I mean, she failed to address some very important points and instead pivoted to just launching baseless attacks against President Trump while trying to avoid accountability for the issue of her position on the border. And it's a complete and utter failure. Where she stands in terms of transgender reassignment surgery and having taxpayers pay for it for prisoners and for illegals.

And I know that sounds crazy, but it's actually true. And whenever Kamala Harris says, I will follow the law, you know what that means? She'll follow it until she changes it. And that's really what these elections are about. Do the American public really want to put her in a position to change some foundational aspects of American democracy?

And all the indications are that that's a resounding no. I want you to hear some of this exchange and then comment. She was commenting about how unhinged Donald Trump is.

And this is the follow up, cut 12. Why is half the country supporting him? Why is he beating you in a lot of swing states? Why, if he's as bad as you say, that half of this country is now supporting this person who could be the forty seventh president of the United States. Why is that happening?

This is an election for president of the United States. It's not supposed to be easy. I know, but it's not supposed to be.

It is not supposed to be. So are they misguided? The 50 percent is stupid.

I would never say that about the American people. And in fact, if you listen to Donald Trump, if you watch any of his rallies, he's the one who tends to demean and belittle. So she wouldn't answer. She wouldn't answer the question. She she's unstable. He's he's a fear mongering.

But it looks in many like by many polls, he's winning. What does you take away from her response? Well, as a matter of fact, the first thing that I thought of and we actually the campaign released this video last night. But the first thing I thought of when she said that was a video clip of her from a few years ago calling younger voters stupid.

So we sort of put those together and send it out to the world last night. So but it's it's clearly not the first time where she says one thing and then and then does another. But but from the standpoint of, you know, look, they have they have nothing to offer in terms of policy. So their entire focus is to make the try to frame the debate about, quite frankly, as I view it, Donald Trump's passion, his passion for wanting to actually change policy and and, you know, contribute to a growth in the United States that's been sorely needed in the last four years. So it's really baffling because she's a member of the incumbent party.

And, you know, they constantly she tries to run away from Biden, but then she embraces them. I mean, they clearly do not want to discuss anything on policy, Brian. It's they can't discuss inflation. They can't discuss general economic conditions. They can't discuss the border. I mean, they can't discuss anything.

So they want to make it about anything but that. So I'm just looking at the real clear average and it, you know, for the most part, you guys are ahead everywhere except Wisconsin. But it's all percentage points. I know you're a strategist. It's almost the defensive coordinator. How are you going to stop? How are you going to stop the offense?

How are you going to score in the end? If this game is so close without giving away the playbook, can you give me an idea what these last three weeks look like from inside the Trump campaign? Let our listeners know.

Sure. I mean, being a product of Pittsburgh, you know, football is is very near and dear to my heart. And while in football defense and a good defense wins championships in politics, it's offense that wins elections. And so I would expect us and I think you'll see that as the president sets the tone of this campaign, we're on offense and we will be driving the issue agenda going forward.

We will be driving what the decisions are going to be based off of. And what I mean by that is, you know, it's it's taking the taking the aggressive stance that, yeah, we've got to talk about the border. Yeah, we got to talk about inflation. And there's not an issue.

I mean, here's a classic example. If you recall, a couple of weeks ago, the actually, you know, during the time frame right before the ABC joke of a debate, the FBI, the Department of Justice, released crime statistics and said that crime was down everywhere. And the president knew better. And we made that the center point of some issues during the discussion during the course of the debate. And he was, quote unquote, fact checked by Muir on ABC about how well, according to the Department of Justice, all those crime statistics that crimes actually gone down.

Well, yesterday, the Department of Justice revised their crime statistics and actually showed that crime has gone up. So you want to talk about a level of election interference that is unbelievable. Then we find out this morning that the English labor government is bringing in hundreds of workers to work in battleground states to elect Kamala Harris. The British government?

Yes, the labor. There's a check my tweet feed. You'll see it. It's unbelievable. They're bringing over the it's it's it's a political operation, clearly, but they're soliciting UK workers to come over to the United States and take and take.

They're looking for people to put them up in free housing. So, oh, yeah, it's it. I mean, so you have.

Yeah, you right. You tweet out nearly 100 current and former Labour Party staff are going to battleground states in the U.S. to campaign for Kamala Harris with party offerings to sort your housing. So they're bringing in the British and that's OK? Yeah, the British are coming.

The British are coming. I mean, you can't make this up, Brian. So so tonight is going to be the Al Smith dinner.

I know the big attraction is I'm going to be in the dais of the second biggest attraction will be the former president will be speaking. She she she turned it down, Chris. She did not want to comment.

They'll put it in the prompter. You don't have to be funny. You just got to try be self effacing. To me, it's one of the fun things about being a politician. It's been a part of American culture for 50 years and she's not coming through blowing off all Catholics. Here's a little of Trump when he was running against Hillary the last time we had this because the twenty twenty we had the pandemic. Let's listen.

I know Hillary met my campaign manager and I got the chance to meet the people who are working so hard to get her elected. There they are. The heads of NBC, CNN, CBS, ABC.

There's the New York Times right over there and the Washington Post. They're working overtime through. So the added the spirit of the room is great. Your thoughts about that? What could you tell our listeners about how the president's preparing?

Who's helping him with the writing? Well, a couple things. First off, you know, the from 2016, you know, the president's comments there.

Clearly nothing has changed going forward because you essentially have the same thing going on now. But I mean, I'm not going to get into the details of who's writing and all of that. But it's it's it's it's I've seen the draft. It looks really good. I think the president I don't think people will be disappointed. They most definitely to the extent they can tune in. You know, President Trump has an incredible way of connecting with people. And, you know, this kind of event is tailor made for for him in a lot of ways.

So I mean, just suffice it to say that that that I know that Cardinal Dolan won't be disappointed and those in attendance will not be and especially those watching. But it should be it should be a fun time. And one that it really is important, you know, to show that despite the fact that we're engaged in this, you know, this this battle of positions and the choices that are made, that, you know, the American people want to know that people can get together and poke fun at each other and themselves. So it should it should be alarming to people that, you know, Kamala Harris has no interest in doing that. And yet they want to launch broadsides on Donald Trump as being, you know, whatever.

And they behave that usually the way I judge things with these guys is if they're attacking Donald Trump about something, that means they're the ones doing it or guilty of it. So it should be fun. Chris, will he take her time? I mean, she will not.

The big thing is there's going to be no opponent there. And usually it's self-effacing. It's not a speech attack, you know, like he'd see at a rally. So will he take some of her time and say these are some of the shots that she could have taken at me? I mean, we'll see. I'm not going to give it away, Brian.

I don't want to give it away. So do you think this is a shot at Catholics that she's not coming? Do you think it's because she's not comfortable in this format? Does she not want to be with Donald Trump?

What do when you guys close the door in the meetings, like how do you figure is that what is the reason she's not there, you think? I think it's a couple things. But but I think if you look at the culmination of the things that she has taken a stand on, it's 100 percent a shot at Catholics. You can't take a look at it any other way. I mean, if you look at it as a body of work and her positions and what she's done in the past, that 100 percent is that. And then, of course, you've got I think she's incapable. I mean, look, this much is certain. We know that if Kamala Harris was there, she would spend all of her time laughing. So so and she's got that down pat. But I think the ability to talk is probably without the help of a teleprompter.

She'd be jumbling board salads. But look, the bottom line is we'll wait and see how the boss does and, you know, and how he approaches it. But but, you know, it's disappointing that, you know, they would decide to sit this one out. So, Chris, you're in the news. They say you made twenty two million dollars off this campaign.

You shot right back. What's your thought? What's your what should our listeners know about what's going on there?

Well, first of all, thanks for asking that. I wish that was the kind of money we make in campaigns. It's not that, you know, The Daily Beast is a far left publication, the same publication that actually printed the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax back in the day. The same ones who broke a story yesterday saying that, you know, President Trump micro doses drugs, for heaven's sake.

So it's a left wing liberal rag that is, you know, you know, honestly exists to create or try to create, you know, some sort of of problems within the within the campaign leading into the election in three weeks when we're in such a solid position. But it's unequivocally B.F. And I don't but I don't spend a lot of time worrying about that just comes with the territory. Got it. Chris, thanks for your quality time. We appreciate it. I'll see you tonight. OK, sir.
