From the Fox News Radio Studios in Midtown Manhattan, it's the fastest growing radio talk show. Brian Kilmead. Hope you had a great weekend, everybody. It's the Brian Killmee Show coming your way. Very excited for everybody here on the show is because we now have WTHQ as part of the family.
10:30 a.m. in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Be carrying the show live, which will be great.
So uh and also uh The slogan is WTHQ 1030 The Eagle.
So, love being in West Virginia. In fact, talk to Governor Jim Justice on One Nation on Saturday night. We had him on the show on Friday, right here on the Brian Kilmeet Show on Friday. He will be the next senator from West Virginia. The question is: will he be in the majority?
Those are part of the questions that are impossible to answer with just about 80 days until the election because so much is up in the air. You can't even get somebody to tell you definitely where the House is going to be, how the Senate's going to flip, if the Senate's going to flip, and obviously who the next president will be. We'll break that all down. Let's go to the big three.
Now, with the stories you need to know, it's Brian's big three. Number three. It's also time to make sure that no one. takes any steps. that could derail this process.
And so we're working to make sure that there is no escalation. Uh there are no provocations. could move us away from getting the steel over the line. There are a ton of things standing in your way, Secretary of State Anthony blinking, as we talk about getting some type of ceasefire deal in Gaza.
Meanwhile, the Tarks continue, but I don't see any promise of getting anything done. Why? Because Hamas just had authored a suicide bombing attempt in Tel Aviv. Thankfully, it failed, and the fighting continues to rage in Gaza. Number two.
Kamala went full communist. You heard that. After causing catastrophic inflation. Comrade Kamala announced that she wants to institute socialist price controls. You saw that.
Never worked before, never ever worked. Yeah, uh it went over like a lead balloon. The state of the campaign. Trump fans pick up the pace. We look at the polls, power rankings, and the best game plans going forward as Harris makes one policy speech and it really tanked.
Number But it's coming along. I feel good about it. I mean, essentially, it's. Much of what you've probably heard me talk about before in terms of just what I believe to be the promise of America. There's obviously a lot at stake, but there's also a lot to feel good about in terms of the future of our country.
Right, there you go. The rambling Kamo Harris. The DNC begins. Celebrities, Democrats, luminaries, and protesters descend on a failing city called Chicago for the next four days. What to expect this week?
Both scripted and unscripted.
Now, first off, I think the backdrop, I never understood why they picked Chicago. We knew that during the Trump years, I mean, the first thing he said is, Do you need the National Guard? The crime is so bad there. Cops are overwhelmed. We know there's an anti-cop feeling in the city.
And they said, How dare you? Why do you mean National Guard? That would have saved so many lives had they done that. But they don't.
So right now we have a situation where year to date in Chicago, site of the DNC, 1390. Shooting incidents: three hundred and forty four. Murders, 1,217 sexual assault. This is not counting this weekend either. There were five shot dead over the weekend.
5,400 plus robberies. Oh my goodness. 11,278 thefts. 13,357 motor vehicle thefts. These are just some of the stats they threw at us.
11% increase in violent crime. And they've spent $400 million over the last two years on fixing it. No, on illegal immigrants, because we got to give them everything in these sanctuary cities. How do the schools do? 31% of elementary school students in Chicago were considered proficient in reading.
One more time. Thirty-one percent.
So they're not gener they're not educating the next generation to turn things around to so to say the least.
So that's where we stand. The DNC has got their lineup out, and Joe Biden's going to be speaking tonight. They're going to have Jill Biden speaking tonight. Tuesday will be Barack Obama. I was surprised.
I thought he'd be a little bit later. Wednesday, one of the features will be the vice presidential nominee, Tim Waltz. Thursday, obviously, will be Harris. Other confirmed speakers, Michelle Obama, the first man, Doug, the second man, Doug Amhoff, who wants to be the first man. Bill Clinton will be there on Wednesday night.
Hillary Clinton, too. Although she might be speaking tonight, they got some stars: John Legend, Jon Stewart, Billy Porter, Joan Jett. That's interesting. Octavio Spencer, and Little John.
So, if you go to Hollywood, that'll be a detriment because, believe it or not, we're at the point in this country where you do a lot of Hollywood, it's a big turnoff. It's why people are turning away from the Oscars and, in many cases, the movies.
So, we're looking at a city that's under stress, and then we're looking at a city that's going to be under protest because we've been hearing about this for the longest time. It's 1968 revisited because there's been Seven separate groups that have formally asked for permits to march pro-Hamas. Pro-Palestinian, anti-Semitic, anti-Israel protesters. And they're mad at the I guess The allied Biden administration with Israel, who are the most critical of Israel, of any administration in my lifetime, but that's not good enough for the protesters. The protesters aren't happy.
Even with Kamala Harris and their private meetings, they're not happy.
So we'll see if that overwhelms and becomes the number one story, which very well could be the case when you look at what they're doing right now. We saw some of the interviews over the weekend. Keep in mind, too, I'm thinking to myself, you know, where do these come from? Where do the pro-Palestinian protesters come from on these campuses?
Well, they're well financed, they're well organized. Also, they're the same people that do all the protests. They were coming out against cops. They were the Black Lives Matters group. And they were the group that was coming out against the new green, coming out against all fossil fuels.
So they were going to be protesting against something at some point everywhere.
So we'll see if that is an actual thing. The other thing they mentioned is Kamala Harris on Friday came out and said, I got a plan, and it's going to be price controls. It's going to be going after price gouging, child tax credit. And we'll have no ta and we'll have no taxes on tips.
So when these came out, they got a lot. Did something happen with Kamal Harris that I'm not used to? They came out and actually. Ridiculed her. And they said the Times, for example.
The Washington Post editorial board, the Times these times demand serious economic ideas. Harris supplies gimmicks. CNN business. Harris planned to stop price gouging could create more problems. Washington Post opinion page.
When your opponent calls you a communist, maybe don't propose price controls. How great is that? Kamala Harris's economic plan is about to drop. High prices are here to stay.
So when asked to defend this, no one really could. Listen to this on the Sunday shows, cut fourteen. Anything that smacks of price fixing, you know, that I don't think works. Is this plan to ban price gouging anything more than a gimmick, Governor? I think it speaks to Kamala Harris's values.
Seems like totally unworkable, first of all, for the FTC to be deciding how much Kroger charges for eggs. Is this just a ploy? Because it sounds kind of like it. But is it really policy? I mean, price gouging?
Well, Kevin Rampel, the Washington Post columnist and news hour contributor, said it's impossible to exaggerate how bad this policy is. And I agree with that.
So a couple of things. What does it tell you about her staff? She has one policy speech. It lasts about 20 minutes. And she puts in there these radical things that people no one can accept on her side.
So, more negativity. Jason Fuhrman had this to say: this is not a sensible policy. And I think the biggest hope is that it ends up being a lot of rhetoric and not a reality. There's no upside here, and there's some downside. He warned effectively that price controls could ultimately stifle economic growth.
He goes: The good case scenario is price gouging is a message, not a reality. And the bad case scenario is that it's a real proposal. You'll end up with bigger shortages, less supply, and ultimately risk higher prices and worse outcomes for consumers. And explain to me this: if I run a supermarket and bananas get delivered to my place and they come in at $4, and I can only charge $3, I'm not emptying the truck. That's why you end up with empty shelves, and that's why it doesn't work.
That's why, if you want to live in a free market economy, you can stay here. If you don't like it, you don't have to stay here. That's the issue. That shows you who's around her.
Now, today, the drama will be around Joe Biden and how he was kicked to the curb.
Now, we know how quickly it happened. We know I felt like Joe Biden had no choice. I mean, the donors shut off. Nancy Pelosi turned on him. Behind the scenes, Barack Obama turned on him.
George Clooney turned on him. It seemed as though everything was stopping. There was no more money coming in. He said the Almighty had to tell me to quit. That's the only reason I would quit, but somehow he had to quit.
And he decides on Sunday it was time to turn the page. I don't think he's over it, not by a long shot. And then on Saturday, I read Maureen Dash Sunday, I read Maureen Dowd's column in the New York Times, and it says the DNC is going to be a glorious coronation, except that everyone is mad at one another. And they said, you know. They're going to come together, but a coup is a coup.
Here's an example of what she says going on behind the scenes. President Biden already resented Obama for shoving him aside for Hillary in 2016. Then he resented Hillary for squandering the opportunity and losing to Trump. Even though Obama tried to do everything quietly to protect his saintly status, Joe was furious that Obama was sidelining him twice because he did it just now, just a month ago. Michelle Obama has married all the Bidens because she is friends with Kathleen, Bow's widow, and the Bidens have just soured on her and just ostracized her.
She had an affair with Hunter Biden that blew up his marriage, and they blame her, I guess. Ron Kling says to Anderson Cooper that the feelings in the Biden world. are not good. That he got kicked out, because I think that the president had won the nomination fair and square. 14 million people had voted for him as vice president as vice president.
And I do think the president was pushed by public calls from elected officials for him to drop out, from donors calling for him to drop out, and I think it was wrong. Wow, that does not seem like a party that's coming together below the surface. I just want you to keep that in mind when you watch the speech tonight.
Now, I'm sure he will not put anything in there that makes Vice President Harris look anything but great, because he believes his best chance of looking good. in the long ti in the long term, we don't know how much longer he has, but the legacy for the Bidens is for his Vice President to look good and win. If the Vice President loses to Trump, Now she her numbers do a lot better than his, but they're both neck and neck. And believe it or not, even after that debate, there was only four points difference between Biden and Trump. And Trump's numbers haven't moved.
She ticked up a little bit.
So I think that she'll say, oh, he'll say all the right things, but then he will be gone. Except for the fact he has to run our country. And lastly, to keep in mind when you watch all this coming together in the Democrats' momentum, which they are entitled to have, four days of fun. Josh Shapira This guest columnist, James Kirchhuk, writes a story: The Dems have a Josh Shapiro problem. You know what that translates into.
Yo, Shapiro was the only Vice Presidential contender to be targeted by an open and organized campaign against his election. It had to be motivated by something else. What is it about mister Shapiro that led people to argue his placement on the ticket would ruin party unity? It's hard to escape the impression that Shapiro's left wing detractors were riled because he is Jewish. That's on the Democratic Party.
So you might hear that everything's coming together. You might hear about the word joy. You might hear about this sense of unity and purpose. But this is what really is going on in the real reality show below the surface. I wanted to share that with you.
You can get to you can call me at one point eight six six four oh eight seven six six six six six six six time. I do want to talk about what else is going on. I'm going to have Sean Davis on. He's the CEO and co-founder of the Federalist. He worked as an economic policy advisor to Governor Rick Perry.
When we're talking about energy and no fracking and winning Pennsylvania, we should talk about the pause on all LNG sales, how that's affecting this country, and how you could say I'm not banning fracking, but how you could make it almost impossible is what everyone should be focusing on when Kamala Harris finally comes out and realizes banning fracking, which he always stood for, is not practical, but making it almost impossible is a way to do it politically. This is the Brian Killmee Show.
So glad you're here. Covering this election year like no other. It's Brian Kilmead. It's time to take the quiz. Five questions, five minutes a day, five days a week.
Take the quiz every weekday at thequiz.fox and then listen to the quiz podcast to find out how you did. Play, share, and of course, listen to the quiz at thequiz.fox. From his mouth to your ears, it's Brian Kilmead. President Trump can win this election. His policies are good for America.
And if you have a policy debate for president, he wins. Donald Trump, the propagateur, the showman, may not win this election.
So I'm looking for President Trump to show up in the last 80 days to define what he will do for our country to fix broken borders, to lower inflation. The numbers that Americans are living with under Harris Biden are terrible. 50% increase in gas, prices, mortgage rates going through the roof, grocery costs are really high. That's what I would focus on. Policy.
Policy is the key to the White House. And that's what Senator Lindsey Graham is trying to talk to the president through television. He'll go on adversarial shows. He'll do great. And he's so right.
If you look at the issue. Right now, that you guys care most about. The economy, number one, inflation, number two, number three, the border, and then abortion. On the economy, Trump is up by 13. Used to be up by more with Biden, so what?
Inflation is up substantially, 61.38. On the border, 76.24. That's who people trust on these three major issues.
So Trump has got to hit those issues. You don't need to go after crazy. You don't have to call her a liar. You could call her a communist because of her economic proposals. That's what the New York Post did over the weekend.
Everyone's saying, push back against the Kamala Harris people to push back against these lies. Not really. If you're for price controls, if you're for a mandatory wage, if you're for a mandatory, if you want to up the minimum wage, you're getting more and more socialist communists. When you looked at the CBS poll, it's 51.48 Harris. All right.
A little bit higher than, you know, they were basically in a dead heat with Biden, but maybe Trump was up to. But how much do you care about national polls right now? On the CBS. Seven battleground states on the CBS poll. It's 50-50.
Amazing. Michigan, 49-48, Harris. Pennsylvania, 50-50. Wisconsin, 49-49. Arizona, 50-49, Trump.
Georgia, 50-48, Trump. Nevada, 50-48, Harris. That's the first time I've seen Harris on top or any Democrat on top. President's been pretty good in Nevada. Trump up just two in North Carolina.
On the ABC, he's trailing in North Carolina. That can't stand if he wants to win.
So, how about this question, the CBS asked? What does Kamala Harris stand for? 64% said they know. 36% said they had no idea. 86% said they know what Donald Trump stands for.
Only 14% said they don't know.
So he did some great branding. We know exactly what he'll do. He makes it pretty clear. On the power rankings, Trump by 15 according to the Fox Power rankings on the economy. He was up, excuse me, he was up 15 on the economy in May.
He's now up eight. On immigration, Trump was up 18 in May.
Now he's up 13. On abortion, Biden was up 12 in May. Harris is up 18.
So there's a little bit of a shift there. In a two-way matchup, 50-49 according to the Fox poll. If you have a three-way matchup, it gets basically a dead heat. I'm wondering why RFK is even in it. I mean, he's been basically a joke when his past gets exposed.
He's now on all these ballots, but he's really got no message at this point. And some of the things he's done in the past with the brainworm and the killing a bear and leaving it in Central Park, whatever the truth was there, is absolutely insane. Uh, getting really drunk and doing that. I don't really think it's an excuse. You're in your twenties.
But I you know, for him to drop out, I think would really benefit Trump. Obviously, Trump feels the same way because he's trying to get him out. Because he already made him an offer during the RNC. I think it's important for the Trump team just not to panic and start using the surrogates to do a coherent to keep that message coherent. Go ahead, get Elise Stephonic out there.
Get Sarah Huckabee Sanders to tell the personal story of what it was like having a boss having her back on a daily basis when the personal attacks came cascading in. You could get Hope Hicks out there if you wanted. You could, of course, get Christy Noam. Corey Lewandowski is now back in the fray, and he's there to organize things and start moving things.
So, Trump's getting a little antsy. It was a win that he had. But the debate killed Biden and made this a real race. A talk show that's real. This is the Brian Kill Me Show.
All right, we are back. Let's bring in, and by the way, just a couple of things. I know people are writing me just saying that. In terms of price gouging, nobody sees it. Everyone's writing and say, What are you talking about with price gouging?
The prices are going up, but no one's benefiting. If you look at the profit margin on grocery stores, it's 1.6 percent. And if you have one of those delis that charges a lot or a bodega that's too expensive, you know what normal people do in America? They go to a different one. And as soon as those lines calm down and as soon as that place quiets down, they realize they got to lower prices.
That's the way it works. Sean Davis, the CEO and co-founder of the Federalists, joins us now. Sean, what do you expect in the DNC to accomplish by Thursday night?
Well, they they have a big uh a big goal ahead of them, which is they have to convince everybody that Kamala Harris has not been in the White House for four years. And also, that everything that that White House has ruined has actually made things wonderful.
So they've got to fight a two-front war against reality, both Kamala's record and what we all know we're seeing in America right now as a result of her policies.
Well, Trump knows that. You know that. What does Trump do about it? I think the best thing that Trump can do to go forward is just remind people, hey, she's been in the White House for four years. She's been in charge, because we know Joe Biden was never in charge.
That was obvious to everyone. And look at your bank accounts, look what you're spending on groceries and gas. Is your life better now than it was four years ago? Do you have more money than you had four years ago? Are you safer than you were four years ago?
Is the border more secure than it was four years ago? He just has to remind people of what their life is like now versus what it was like when he was president. And across the board, everything's more expensive. Crime's higher. The border is less safe.
America's less safe. He's actually got a great record to run on. He just has to remind people of the reality today and what his record was as president. And he's got to realize that media is going to work against him. I mean, there's just no doubt about it, and he just can't worry about it.
Just find a way to overcome it. and and almost expect it if they decide to treat Biden fairly uh and Nakama Harris fairly, it'll be a surprise. But for the most part, you got to feel it's almost you got to do it yourself. And you could do that through social media, don't you think? I think so.
And he understands the media. I think we all do at this point. I think they are going to reach new lows this week with the lies and information ops they're going to run against people. I mean, we got a taste of it during the Kamala Harris rollout where they all pretended she hasn't been vice president for four years and everything's amazing.
So yeah, you just have to go over the top of the media. You have to do it with social media, whether it's X or truth. You have to go on airwaves with ads, and he's just got to pound that for the next couple months. I think it would be interesting to see. For example, when she came out with her 20-minute speech, one of the things she talked about was price controls, child tax credit.
And she talked about, I like the fact that you maybe attack corporate housing. I'm kind of thinking to myself, BlackRock owning every single middle-class home is not a good idea. I would love to see both parties attack that. But the other stuff makes no sense, and it's indefensible about price controls. Listen to what here's an example of one of her surrogates.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who just wants to talk about her book, but listen to what she gets on Meet the Press Cup 15.
Well, Governor, I hear you saying that folks are reading too much into it, and yet it is what the vice president is proposing. You have former President Trump calling the policies communist. The Washington Post editorial board called it a gimmick. Is this plan to ban price gouging anything more than a gimmick, Governor? I think it speaks to Kamala Harris's values, that she wants consumers to keep more money in their pockets.
She wants hardworking Americans to be able to get ahead. She wants to make sure that there is corporate responsibility. We know we've got to have business growth in this country, small business growth, big business growth, for good paying jobs. But we also know that you can't gouge and hurt the American consumer just to pad your bottom line. And I think there's a balance there, and I think that's what this is all about.
She has no answer. And there's no proof of any gouging. She could bring that all she wants. But again, it's part of vilifying the rich. Also with Trump, they're going to say he wants to give tax breaks to his billionaire buddies.
His tax plan did not give tax breaks to the upper class. It gave it a huge benefit to the middle class. I'm talking results. Yeah, and the problem that Harris has here, you can tell just by what she's proposing. Because she can't say that high prices were her fault.
She can't admit that, even though they are. She was the tie-breaking vote on the massive Inflation Act that she and Biden pushed through. The fact that she is talking about price gouging means she knows inflation is a huge problem. She knows people are feeling it. She can't admit that it's her fault, so she has to find a boogeyman for it.
She has to find someone else to blame, which is why she's come up with this price gouging nonsense. No, no, we're all getting gouged, and the person doing the gouging is the government. And she called the g uh price gauging. I mean, if you have a major policy, you should get that word right. We all mispronounce things.
She even went back and fixed it, which means she was glued to the prompter, which really was the most damaging gave her the most damaging headline to the New York Post. They basically called her a commie.
So here she is on a bus stop, and she mistakenly, I think, walks up to a camera, asks about her plan about price fixing and gouging. She ends up talking about tax credits. Got 10. What we're doing in terms of the tax credits, we know that there's a great return on investment. Will we increase home ownership in America?
What that means in terms of increasing the tax base, not to mention property tax base, what that does to fund schools. Again, return on investment. I think it's a mistake for any person who talks about public policy to not critically evaluate how you measure the return on investment. When you are strengthening neighborhoods, strengthening communities, and in particular the economy of those communities, and investing in a broad-based economy, everybody benefits and it pays for itself in that way.
Okay, she's beginning to get off script and start talking in circles again, Sean. You notice, did not bring up the gouging or price control. Sean, so about tax credits. And we'll get into that bubble talk. That's what Clinton used to say.
Let's give these cut rates loans out to people that can't afford it to get them in houses they don't belong in because their income doesn't warrant it. But don't worry about it because we're going to give you a low interest loan to have it. It blew up the economy in 2008. Yeah, I love it when she gets cornered and has to talk because she sounds like the kid we all knew in school who didn't read the book but just got called up to the front of the class to do the book report. And he likes that, he knows there's a couple words in there he's got to say because those are the key points of the book.
So that's just what she does. But it's just constant word salad from her. And I just find it amazing. It's why the media is trying so hard to keep her away from their own cameras, trying to keep her away from actually saying what she thinks about anything because she sounds like an idiot whenever she opens her mouth. Yeah, and so far, I think you're right.
So you have a focus on energy. You know what it was like working with Governor Rick Perry. That was one of his areas of expertise. How come it's gotten by the boards that Joe Biden has paused new oil and gas leases?
So he stopped exporting.
So that means Lithuania, Estonia, Japan, all our customers that we were serving, Europe, because of the cutoff from Russia because of their invasion of Ukraine, are not getting served. This is a kiss up to the green side of his party, but he's trying to run as a moderate. She is trying to run as a moderate, and she's supposed to win Pennsylvania. This word has got to get out about what she's doing. Yeah, you recall when Biden and Harris ran the first time in 2020, they promised to ban fracking.
They promised to shut down oil and gas development. They would argue, oh, we're just banning the export because we want to keep that here at home. That's not the reason. What they're wanting to do is they're wanting to cut off markets for domestic suppliers to make it more expensive and less attractive for them to actually find energy in America. We have more energy under our soil than we could ever use.
And instead, we're having to import stuff for our youth. It's total madness. And it's why when I filled up my tank over the weekend, it cost me more than $100. Gas is like $350 a gallon. It's madness.
Right. And there are situations that happen sometimes when gas goes up. But then when you find out we're not maximizing what we can do and saying, even though we're hitting highs, what are we doing in terms of our potential? If you talk to anyone in Alaska, you talk to any of these officials, they're beside themselves because the pipelines are not being used to capacity or they're being shut down. And that affects.
Everybody, when it comes to your oil and gas bill, not just your car.
So I think that's being underreported.
Now, this type of thing would have happened, and this debate would have taken place had she not been handed the nomination instead, she would have had to work for the nomination. We would have found out where she stood on all these things. I mean, the truth is, we actually know where she stands and everything because she's been in politics for a long time. She was a senator. She ran for president in a run that was so bad she had to drop out before she ever got a vote.
She ran as vice president with Joe Biden. She was vice president, has been for four years. We actually know exactly what Kamala Harris thinks about just about everything. And her aim for the next couple months is going to be: how fast can she run away from everything she's ever said and everything she's ever done? That's the big challenge she has, but thankfully she's got the corrupt corporate media behind her.
So I asked Dr. Jordan Peterson about this on One Nation on Saturday night, about why the Dems suddenly want to be strong on the border, why they're talking about no longer fracking, why they're no longer banning fracking or offshore drilling, why they all of a sudden say they're going to crack down on crime. Have they had a metamorphosis? Cut 23. When the Conservatives finally woke up enough to respond, the manipulators at the bottom of the Democrat.
organizations said, oh, We don't even know what you're talking about. All this culture war stuff, where did you invent that? The real issue is the economy, the real issue is healthcare, the real issue is education.
So The he's not buying. It cut twenty-four. It's not like the Democrats have. Switch their colors suddenly, and it's not like all the people who push those DEI ideas and these equity. Issues have disappeared.
So, no, I don't trust it a bit. I think it's a complete bloody lie. It's a manipulative image-based lie. And so where do you Sean, lastly, where do you go from here? If that is true and there's statements are being made to win over the population, but no way to check to see if the sinc there's no sincerity meter, what do you do?
You have to go straight to the people. You have to go over the top of the corrupt corporate media. And then you have to take the media head on. There's no more allowing them to set the frames of the debate or set the terms. You have to go out there and say, yeah, they're lying.
They work for the Democrats. All they care about is getting in office, and they're going to continue ruining your life the same way they've been doing for the last four years. Trump and his campaign just have to hammer that message home. Do you feel as though this team, the Trump team, is up for the challenge? Yeah, I think so.
I mean, it's going to be a very, very close race. We're a closely divided nation. We're pretty much down the middle. Even if Biden had stayed in, honestly, I thought it was going to be a close race just because how we're divided.
So it's really just going to come down to who executes the most on the basic fundamentals of messaging and campaigning. Wow. All right, Sean. Thanks so much. Sean Davis, CEO and co-founder of the Federalists.
Appreciate it. Thank you, sir. All right, 1866-408-7669. I'll be able to get some of your calls. I'm reading some of your emails now.
I hear the passion. I'm reading the passion that you have. A lot of you are back at work.
Some of you are on vacation, but you can't totally tune out of this. I totally understand it. In fact, Greg writes me here and says, There are going to be Democrats voting for Kamala because she's a Democrat, not for policy. People need to be informed that a vote for Kamala is a vote for a party, not her. A vote for Trump is a vote for America.
A vote for policy is to promote freedom. And to back Greg up, how is Trump greeted? By Channing U SA USA And when they want to interrupt or they approve something he says, that's what they say.
So that's for the country. What they're trying to do is show that Trump is for himself. Because people never vote for a selfish person. They want to know they're fighting for them. It's not going to work.
You can't label Trump any way any different. He's been marketed. It is the impressions are clear.
So is your choice. Brian Kilmead Show. Diving deep into today's top stories, it's Brian Kilmead. Uh A radio show like no other. It's Brian Killmead.
How much they can advance beyond that is obviously the question here, but they'll try their best. In the meantime, of course, Carl is absolutely right. Kamala Harris is about as vulnerable a candidate that you could think of, short of Joe Biden himself. and his campaign should have no trouble. I mean, she's a self-described radical.
Not only did she cast the the votes that that Carl described, she's had issue positions on a range of issues that she's now never she's never publicly repudiated. And that is Britt Hume going and saying, look, Republicans have their problems, but Kamala Harris. Last time we checked was considered one of the biggest letdowns since Dan Quayle as vice presidents. Dan Quayle mislabeled, she's accurately labeled, and does nothing to change perception. People decide to change their perception of her.
So Britt Yume saying, look, you got a target there, target-rich environment. Aside from the debates, when she talks about changing on health insurance, on the drilling, on fracking, on her view on overseas conflicts, obviously your tendency to criticize Netanyahu not to show up when he addressed the joint session of Congress. These are all things that make her vulnerable. Make her answer. And what I think the Trump team has been good at doing is doing so many press conferences, they're actually pressing her to take a question.
And I played yesterday, I played. What she said in the one unscripted moment when they asked to defend some of the critics, defend her economic principles that she put out on Friday against some of her critics, she was all over the place. We're not even talking about price gouging. Wouldn't we not talk about price controls? Brian, lists on WHLO in Canton, Ohio.
Brian. Good morning, Brian. What's on your mind?
Well, I had asked him before I forget: how come you never announced a show in Canton, Ohio? We've got the Football Hall of Fame. We've got a great stadium here. There's all kinds of venues.
Well, yeah, why can't we go to Kent, Ohio, Allison? I mean, come on. I would love to know. That would be great. That is where the Hall of Fame is.
I hear great things about it. And hopefully we'll be there because I know the UFL, USFL had their finals there two years in a row, and I almost went out there for that because Fox owns the league. But I hear great things about it. Rick was on WVMT. Hey, Rick.
Toba and Heard. On just a couple of things.
Well, the first one being you always mention the word gas. gas prices, et cetera, et cetera. But remember this, the the thing that's going up a lot that costs Uh is the transportation of goods. and that's diesel fuel.
Okay.
So All that diesel fuel. Is just driving the price of trucking up. And of course, then you got all the associated costs that go with the trucking, tires, repairs, et cetera, et cetera.
So that's that's just something if you can focus on a little bit. I'd really appreciate hearing you say the price of diesel.
Well, is uh do all trucks run on diesel? No, ev most attractive trailers. Ninety percent of them run on diesel. Very few are propane or natural gas or electric. I mean, Just to throw that out with electric vehicles, we have electric buses here in Burlington, Vermont.
Yeah. And they are a joke, okay? Right. They actually had to change their routes because the hills. would draw the batteries down.
And they have no idea how weather affects it long term, nor how much it's going to be to replace them regularly or what to do with the old batteries. I was listening to this podcast on these electric truck drivers. And they say that between having to stop at charging stations and wait for a Toyota Crolla to be done so you can fill up your cab and you got to unload your load. You got to come up there with just the front part. And then you've got to sit there.
And it takes forever to charge.
So you're not productive. And the batteries are so big they take up a lot of the cargo space.
So true, electric trucks are not working either. Tell that to Corey Lewandowski.
So, good point. When it comes to energy, the president's got to go out there and say exactly what he'll do. With the good news for the former president, he could just point to four years prior. But the one thing he's got to look out for, and it's going to drive him crazy, is she's going to talk about changes she do to the economy. She's going to be running against what Joe Biden did from what Joe Biden did, trying to say those weren't my policies.
And it's going to be maddening to watch her put herself use some video from the days when she was an AG in California at the border. She was actually at the border and talking about what she did to crack down on the border. when we know that's totally insincere and she's got no track record to do it. If you ask the people that work with her at the border, they want no part of her. Anyone in California who works Border Patrol hates their policies.
From high atop Fox News headquarters in New York City, always seeking solutions, never sowing division. It's Brian. Kill me. I'm from 4826 in Midtown, Manhattan. Heard around the country, around the world.
The Brian Killmee show, very consequential time at the time in the summer where there's so much breaking news, and now we're at the cusp of the other convention.
Now, what's the big deal? It's always a big deal because it happens every four years. Think about it, though. It hasn't happened in eight years. We had the RNC first time in eight years in July, and you have President Trump being back, a former president running again, made a unique couple of days prior.
You have an assassination attempt. He comes back. Not only does it, it comes out dramatically. And then, next thing you know, it comes out so good and the debate went so well that they get rid of their candidate within 20 days. We're now back at the DNC with a brand new candidate who happens to be the vice president and one of the most disrespected vice president, inconsequential vice president, except for an epness in my lifetime.
I mean, Dan Quayle was a kind of abused, but in looking back, he was totally misplaced. Having said that, was with George H. W. Bush when the wall came down, and we know about that. And for the most part, the Vice Presidents have not been a big deal.
She's been noteworthy because she's been so ineffective. And so, unsure of herself on her feet. And there's so many word salads that come through, you don't even know what she originally meant. And now everyone wants to black all that out and said this is the next coming of Barack Obama and Margaret Thatcher, judging by her by her New plans, I guess, by her agenda, by looking at what she now stands for according to her surrogates as opposed to what she stood for and what she did. And before I go any further and get to the big three, special welcome to Point Pleasant, West Virginia.
WTHQ listeners, 10:30 a.m. We had Governor Justice on on Friday on the radio show, and on Saturday, he was on One Nation at 9 o'clock Eastern Time. We were in West Virginia for the History, Liberty, and Laps tour, which is now going to be in Peakskill next, Peekskill, New York.
So if you listen on WABC and all the local affiliates that we have, I hope to see everybody there. Go to BrianKillme.com and we talk about the great moments in history through my books: inspirational, motivational, and patriotic.
So we'll talk at the bottom of the hour. We'll take your calls now. But now let's get to the big three.
Now, with the stories you need to know, it's Brian's big three. Number three. It's also time to make sure that. No one takes any steps. that could derail this process.
And so we're working to make sure that there is no escalation. There are no provocations. Could move us away from getting this deal over the line. I have news for you, Anthony Blinken. There's no way it's going over the line.
Was talking to Trey Yinks this morning. The ceasefire deal. Talks continue. But Hamas is bailed out. There was a suicide bombing attempt in Tel Aviv.
Islamic Jihad behind it. This thing is going to go in flames. It's only going to inflame the protest of the DNC. Number two. Kamala went full communist.
You heard that. After causing catastrophic inflation. Comrade Kamala announced that she wants to institute socialist price controls. You saw that. Never worked before, never ever worked.
There you go. President Trump, I have no problem with this rhetoric because she comes out with her economic report and some of the principles that she laid out, gimmicks, whatever, show that these are socialistic principles. Talking about price controls, talking about price gouging, these are just allegations. There's no substance to them. We're going to look at the polls.
We're going to look at the power rankings and the best game plans going forward for not only the Democrats this week, but what the Republicans are doing this week. Number one. But it's coming along. I feel good about it. I mean, essentially, it's much of what you've probably heard me talk about before in terms of just what I believe to be the promise of America.
There's obviously a lot at stake, but there's also a lot to feel good about in terms of the future of our country. Right. That's Kamala Harris running on joy and word scrambles. The DNC begins. Celebrities, Democrats, luminaries, and protesters descend on a failing city we call Chicago for the next four days.
What to expect this week? Both scripted and unscripted.
And we'll take some of your calls. What I expect this week is 100,000 protesters.
Now, keep in mind, Iran is financing a lot of what's going on college campuses and a lot of this other unrest in our country. We should be aware of that. When we get through this election season, I know it's impossible now, just being practical. We have to realize that outside forces from China, North Korea, Iran are manipulating us against each other. It's almost as if, imagine if one of your neighbors was whispering in your ear how bad the other neighbor is, and that other neighbor.
Being whispered in the ear how bad you are. And next thing you know, you hate each other because of what other people are saying. They're manipulating forces around the outside on the most sensitive issues in America, whether it's abortion, immigration, or or the New Green Deal or the Greenie Acts in our country. Just to give you an idea of Chicago and how bad it is, with all the great history and all the great stories and all the fantastic restaurants and stores, there's been an 11% increase in violent crime. They've spent $400 million over the last two years on illegal immigrants.
And when it comes to their schooling, 31% of elementary school students in Chicago public schools, despite all the money they have, only 31% are proficient in reading. I mean, basically, the New York Post cover says it all. It's a crime filled they said the Chicago displays all that's wrong with Democrats in one failing city.
Now the thing is, Democrats are in charge. In almost every major city in America Philadelphia, a mess. New York, a mess. And I blame more city council than I do the mayor. And then when you look at Chicago, an absolute mess in terms of violent crime, unrest, sh um smashing grabs in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and now even San Diego.
People are having problems because it's the criminals, it's criminal first. Let's get them out of jail, let's not arrest them, let's not back the cops. Currently, with one hundred thousand, With 100,000 protesters expected, there are 1,700 fewer police officers because of attrition, because of retirement in Chicago. And this is what they're doing. They're asking cops from other cities to come in, make some overtime.
And that's fine, but they're not going to know anything. There's going to be no coordination. They're coming here to make some extra money and maybe put down some unrest if they see it. But I know in Milwaukee, when I was there, we're not in Chicago this week. Nobody knew anything.
You go up to these cops, they look great, they're in fantastic shape, but there is no coordination. They weren't able to tell me where we can get through a fence, how we can get back in, if you had to do something in a timely fashion.
Sometimes the lines would be forty five minutes to get in and out of one block. And the cops who we'd ask you wouldn't have any word about how to do it.
Now, they're all worried in Chicago, this being 1968 again. I'm sure you've all seen that video. We'll see what happens.
Now what should matter? They're going to show on the surface that everyone's getting along great, that this party has come together and rallied behind Kamala Harris. For the most part, they have. But speaking tonight will be Joe and Joe Biden. And nobody could tell me that they're happy.
They have not spoken to Nancy Pelosi, have not spoken to Barack Obama, have not spoken to the authors of their ouster. They're going to leave right away after.
Now, he has never been that popular with Democrats, but they did he did step up for them because they didn't want Bernie Sanders to be the guy. Nobody else was around.
So he was there. He's mad at Obama anyway for getting rid of him and not picking him in twenty sixteen. Evidently, Michelle Obama doesn't like Joe the Biden's for the way they treated Beau's widow, who's a personal friend of hers.
So There's problems. A lot of problems. And it was even talked about. And then when you look at Kamala Harris being a breath of fresh air, being younger, sixty years old, now close to eighty one years old, being able to read a prompter and smile, and she's got a background that's different than Joe Biden's, people feel energized because Joe Biden, they wouldn't admit it, they knew was done. And then we find out that behind the scenes, after her first speech, when she talks about her economic principles.
We hear that it's gone over like a lead balloon. And we see it because anybody with a who's been an economist, who cares about the economy, can see that her ideas of price controls, her ideas of cracking down on gouging, are based on absolutely nothing. And it made people like Jason Fuhrman, who's Barack Obama's economic adviser, said this. This is not a sensible policy. I think the biggest hope is that it ends up being a lot of rhetoric and not reality.
There's no upside here. There's no downside. And there is some downside. The good news is the good news, the good case scenario is price gouging is a message, not a reality, and the bad case scenario is that it's a real proposal. You'll end up with bigger shortages, less supply, ultimately risk higher wages and worse outcomes for consumers.
This is her reading a script. These are the people that she has around them. Nobody could defend the ridiculous proposals she put forward.
Now let's find out how she's going to win this solve the Gaza problem. How does the Ukraine war end? What are you going to do to deter China as they continue to harass the Philippines, Japan, and South Korea? Do you think that she's ready for that if she can't put together a 15-minute speech of substance when it comes to the economy?
So here's what she was when she was asked about this. on her bus tour. She got out, pretended to walk through a supermarket, had a few had her uh the first guy there. Her husband was there and some other officials were there, and the cameras walked up to her. And they basically said, What's with this economic proposals?
You're getting widely ridiculed for it. By the way, the Washington Post also called her a cut ten. What we're doing in terms of the tax credits, we know that there's a great return on investment when we increase home ownership in America. What that means in terms of increasing the tax base, not to mention your property tax base, what that does to fund schools.
So she's talking about giving $25,000 to every first-time buyer, really. There's already programs on the books there. You give them $25,000. You're not giving them out of your pockets. You're taking that taxpayer money.
There's a lot of aspiring first-time homebuyers. That's why there's FHA loans. There's programs there in place to give them additional $25,000.
Now, if it was $19.71, that might have been enough for a down payment, but it's usually not enough for even to make a mark on a down payment, but it would just be enough to cost and just add to our deficit. After her reading one economic speech for 20 minutes, Washington Post Editorial Board. The Times demands serious economic ideas. Harris supplies gimmicks. CNN, Harris's plan to stop price gouging, could create more problems.
The Washington Post opinion page: when your opponent calls you a communist, maybe you don't want to propose price controls. Relatively funny, don't you think? Here is Karl Rove on what the message should be from Trump. Cut nine. We're in a moment where the issues are not going to matter for the next several days.
I think the Trump Vance ticket is smart to go to Pennsylvania where they will get local coverage, but they're not going to be able to argue against shouting into the wind as this convention goes. Right. And the thing is, you want to survive, make some news, positive news, make some ground up, organize your ground game, because once this is over, as in Friday, she's going to have to make some speeches. Even when she sits down, there's 10 major issues that she's changed stances on. She's going to have to justify.
You already heard her begin to wobble when she was unscripted. That's the advantage you have. There are people out there like I don't know much about Josh Shapiro that are pretty good on their feet. I don't think Mark Kelly, he has his Q rating's low, but would have any trouble on any policy issues. See, he's got a lot of trouble.
Remember, Elizabeth Warren tried to get rid of her. Basically D'Anci Pelosi was recommending they make a move. Jamie Raskin was recommending that Biden kick her off the ticket.
Next year you know he's kicked off the ticket. And she's the front of the ticket, and we're not supposed to all remember. What she was doing, what she's capable of doing.
So we'll talk about that. Before we go to break, just real quick on why I'm so down on what's happening with Gaza. For example, you can't, if you are Prime Minister of Israel, you cannot end this Gaza operation yet. Why? They have killed about 56% of the Hamas leadership.
That means the good Palestinians that want to step up and be free of this oppressive thuggery of the Hamas movement can't even do it now. If there's any hope of dealing with the Palestinians on any reasonable level, you can't do it with Hamas in power. They've got to be wiped out. They've got to be destroyed. It's not only that, if you don't destroy them, Israel is going to have another October 7th in about six to eight months, and the rockets will start again.
They're going to get resupplied. Sinwar is more lethal than anybody than Hania ever was, who's now dead. And now you gotta make sure to get rid of these guys. You gotta let them know: if you ever do something like this, you'll all be dead, and your lifestyle will be destroyed. You've got to make sure that they keep staying in the Philadelphia corridor separating Gaza and Egypt.
Guess what part of the negotiation says? The Israel's got to get out of there. They can't get out of there. They got to stop all operations inside Gaza. You can't do that.
You need all the hostages back, but they're only going to give a portion back, and they're going to release about 1,000 prisoners of war. They're not ready for this. They're not ready to give in on any level. Also, the IDF would reduce its forced presence at the Philadelphia corridor. The Palestinian Authority would manage the Rafah border.
Are you kidding me? Israel will monitor the displaced Gazans returning to the northern Gaza Strip. Good luck with that. It's almost impossible to tell who the fighters are. Israel would release a large number of Palestinian prisoners in exchange for Hamas releasing Israeli hostages, who are five of which are American.
Israel would retain the right to veto the release of at least 100 Palestinian prisoners that Hamas would demand. I don't know. They just don't seem ready. I know that nobody wants a regional war, but if you don't solve it now, it could almo it could be virtually guaranteed, especially if Kamala Harris stays there. Because on the Democratic side, the years of which both parties agreed that Israel was our top ally, I think they are over.
It's just the Republicans are still standing strong. We're all going to talk about Ukraine. It's amazing what's happening over there. And take your calls next. We're also going to go over the polls and where we stand.
Bottom of the arrow, Amy Sickmo will be joining us, campaign reporter covering Wisconsin for the New York Post. And in the New York, in the CBS poll, Wisconsin 47-47. Dead heat. Don't move. Learning something new every day on the Brian Kill Meat Show.
The more you listen, the more you'll know. It's Brian Kilmead. There have been leaks from her campaign suggesting that she's moved away from those positions, but that ought not to be enough. Trump himself, the media is not going to do this job, or at least has shown no disposition to do the job of taking a really hard look at her record.
So it's up to the Trump campaign. You can do it to some extent with ads, and I'm sure they will, but it would certainly help the Trump campaign if the candidate himself was prepared with specificity to pinpoint these issues where Harris has positions that cannot possibly command a majority. That would help. And he's beginning to do that. Look.
He's beginning to do it. There's no doubt about it. And I thought this was a really good analysis of Trump the other day. I was talking to somebody who was really close to him, and he says, Do you notice that he reads the copy, he gets monotone, and he feels like he's boring people? And I said, No doubt about it.
And he said, Do you know why? He said I don't think they're they're writing the copy with him. I think they're writing the copy for him.
So he looked straight ahead and he and he summarizes and he rants and he Uh Roasts But when he looks to the left and right, he said, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, I'll hit my points. But I'll just read them. But then I'll look straight ahead and then I'll talk and have some fun because these people went so came so far to see me, I can't just read a speech. And I don't know this for certain, I could find out. But I'm wondering how many times his speeches are written with him.
We're outside the State of the Union. We're just the UN, or you accept the nomination. That all has got to be written. But when you go actually to a field in Pennsylvania or over the weekend to a Pennsylvania stadium. I wonder if they just say, listen, tell me exactly what you want to do in the economy, okay?
Write it. This is this is what you just said. I'm going to write it in your language.
So you put that prompter in the middle, you put one on the left, you put one on the right, and you make the prompter. His copy too. And then, when he add libs, he could call, you know, someone shouts from the audience, it does stuff. He add libs, but you can keep it to that. And make it fun.
And you can sit there with a creative writer and say, here's a laugh line. You know, this is you. Mr. President, this is what you would say here. Let's put this in, let's put this in the copy.
And very similar to Broadway play. You know, you could change some of the acts and make people feel as though I'm watching a different speech. It helps networks cover it. But maybe if the speech written was more like what he's like at living, make it easier. We come back, what's going on in Wisconsin and around the country when it comes to individual polls?
CBS came out with a poll, so did ABC. Fox News got power rankings. All fascinating. All shows a very close race. You're listening to the Brian Killmee show.
So glad you're here. If you're interested in it, Brian's talking about it. You're with Brian Kilmead. All right, we are back. Let's bring in.
So far, we're just monitoring all the events at the DNC. And so far, I'm looking at the stage, and it is pretty empty. We have our coverage going on right there. We have people on the inside, people on the outside. And in Grand Park, I understand, I just saw some scenes.
There, where there's hundreds of signs. Maybe thousands of signs. Pro-Palestinian, pro-Hamas signs are there. just protesting Israel and, of course, the Democratic Party because they feel as though they're in power, they're in place. I think Trump would laugh at the whole thing.
Republicans would say, essentially, bring it on. Democrats have to be funneled because they're thinking to themselves, I'm giving the Prime Minister a hard time. What are you mad at me for? But it's going to be a four day cheerleading session. And you got to wonder what kind of bump That Kamala Harris will get.
They always get a bump. Mitt Romney got a bump. Barack Obama got a bump. John McCain got a bump. And the thing is, Can't say Donald Trump got a bump because as soon as he got done with it a few days later, Joe Biden was out.
Let's bring in Amy Sikma. She's a campaign reporter for the New York Post, focusing on Wisconsin. Amy, welcome. Hey, thanks for having me on. Great to be here.
All right, so Amy, what are people of Wisconsin, what's going to be the challenge for our Republicans in Wisconsin? I see by the latest CBS poll it's a dead heat. Oh, it is. And I think the big challenge is going to be that we are we're dealing with abortion issues. That's a big point for the Democrats here.
And for the Republicans, it's going to be kind of trying to equal out the enthusiasm Harris has totally recovered the enthusiasm gap in Wisconsin. We're seeing that on the ground. Their Republicans are being outspent by Democrats right now.
So they really need the in the next less than ninety days, they've got a lot of work to do on the ground. Uh Republic where is the Republicans' ground game compared to the Democrats in Wisconsin?
Well, the Democrats are focusing on the big cities, right? They're in Dane County for Madison. They're in Milwaukee. They're in Eau Claire. They're in Green Bay, Kenosha Racine.
The Republicans are spread out over the whole state because that's their ground game. They're in the rural areas, they're in central Wisconsin.
So we have Trump Force 47 here. Turning Point Action is on the ground. Americans for Prosperity is on the ground. There's a lot of groups down here. It's just that they are covering the whole state instead of focusing on the main population centers.
Which, you know, you think you go to Madison, it's going to be mostly Democrats. Do you go in there like Trump has been going in when he was going against Joe Biden, trying to do the best he can in New York and in Philadelphia and in Chicago, obviously, went there. I thought it was a bit of a disaster with the black journalists. But he's trying to go in there. Do you sense it against Kamala Harris?
They're more apt to go rural?
Well, so Vance has been the one since the RNC, Vance has been the one coming to Milwaukee coming to Wisconsin.
So last week he was in Milwaukee, Milwaukee Police Association. This week he's coming to Kenosha, where we had the Jacob Blake riots back in twenty twenty.
So they're they're focusing both They're still going to the big population centers, but they're focusing on their people in those centers. Um I think there needs to be a ground game in Dane County. There is one there. They're trying to balance out the turnout because Dane County has a massive turnout. It's been growing every election.
It's going to grow this year as well.
So you're trying to balance that with the rest of the state.
So I think that there's yes, there's plenty of focus in those areas from the Trump campaign, but there is also a lot of focus outstate.
So, Matt Gorman, he did comms for Tim Scott, thought he was going to be president for a while. And he said that this is the best plan of attack. Against Harris, cut twenty. Running the playbook against Joe Biden, very different to say the least than running against a black woman. And look, the best argument, the best attack against Kamala Harris is not purely personal, it's not purely policy.
It's that she doesn't have politically core principles. She doesn't have, you know, they call her a chameleon. And I think what gave evidence to that, and why Republicans are a little bit encouraged by in the last 72 hours is she's taken great pains through anonymous aides to walk back a lot of her positions from 2020. But then the first thing she puts her name to, it's pretty far left and gotten a lot of criticism, as you pointed out, with Jason Fuhrman, Washington Post, etc. Right, and that was the Friday speech when she talked about price controls and price gouging and setting rates and things to that nature.
Well, and she's expected so she's going to the Pfizer form tomorrow, reportedly. And that is where the RNC was held a few weeks ago.
So she's kind of had this pattern of copying Trump, the tax per tip. Um. And so she's going back to where he was. She's expected to talk about her policy kind of remake. I expect the child tax credit to come up tomorrow.
I expect the focus to be very much on suburban women voters. And moderate. And yes, the only way for the Trump campaign to fight back is to talk about policy and the last four years. How has your life been the last four years? Has it been better?
How's your bank account? How's your ability to provide for your family? Are you having to work two jobs? You know, the focus on the policy is definitely the best thing because. you're not going to switch.
The enthusiastic Harris voters. You're just not going to get them.
So the focus is the independents, the undecideds, and we've got a whole bunch of independents on the ballot in Wisconsin. The Democratic, the DNC is fighting the Green Party candidate, Jill Stein. They're trying to get her off the ballot because she got 30,000 votes here in 2016.
So they're doing the Democrats are doing an all-out strategy on the ground from every facet, and the Republicans really need to answer that in Wisconsin. Do you think they'll be successful in keeping Jill Stein off? Uh So their original complaint was was dropped, and now they're going in with a legal fight.
So Stein's campaign told me last week that they were hiring attorneys. I haven't seen anything else on that. They may be successful. Hard to tell just yet.
So I was talking to Jim Justice on Saturday night, a former Democrat, gone Republican, and I'm talking about some of the new views that Kamala Harris has said. You know, she's going to be tough on the border. She's going to crack down on crime. She's calling up her, she said, her crime credentials.
Now she says she's for fracking and she's for drilling. She's not for getting rid of private insurance. And I'm thinking to myself, did she have a revelation, or is this just political ploy? Is this a political ploy to get elected? Here's what he said: cut 18.
For Kamala Harris to think for one second, or anybody on this planet to think that the Democrats, the Democrats can rule the day and win, and not only if they win, do the job for all the people in this country? Are you kidding me? Just look around as to what's happening. And this modest approach that they have now, and this big-time flip, do you really believe they'll continue that? You'd have to be crazy.
So that's a little of the exasperation that Donald Trump expresses. Like, you can't be, you know, when you watch a 30-second edifer at the border in a jean shirt, and you think about this to this miserable record of this administration at the border. I'm wondering how many people, in your experience, are really that detached from politics to believe what they see.
Well, it's going to depend on where you were to begin with. I mean, when I'm at the Harris rallies in Wisconsin and I'm talking to voters, there's the full gamut, those who are fully behind her and those who are still coming up. They came to the campaign just to see her or to see Waltz and see what they really had to say. The only way really to address that is to just stay focused on the objective facts. And that's what the Republicans really need to be pounding right now: is: are you gonna believe what they're saying now, or are you gonna believe?
The last four years, you know, and that is an easy message to do. You just have to be consistent and you have to reach those. Undecided and independents, and there's not that many left in the middle, but obviously, Harris is very concerned with those, which is why she's, you know. Coming out with this new face as far as her policy positions is to try to appeal to the middle, to separate herself from Biden, who was just. obviously tanking their numbers.
So they she needs separation from him. He's speaking tonight at the DNC. He's going to crown her. I'm interested to see how that comes out. Um, you know, because she has been trying to distance herself from him, but she can't do it at the DMC.
What's interesting is that the bitterness that has to exist that we're hearing from all different corners exists with the Bidens and the Obamas. They don't speak, and the Bidens don't speak, hasn't spoken to Nancy Pelosi since. Kamala Harris and Biden do speak, but. There was never an intention that she would get the nomination. It would be more of a scrum.
But she consolidated thanks mostly to the endorsement of Joe Biden, creating a little bit of drama there. Michelle Obama not liking the Bidens because of the way they treat Bo's widow.
So maybe there's some bitterness with the Bidens that Hillary Clinton got the nod in 2016 and she lost it. This is some of the speculation from insiders, and I'm wondering if it might be picked up in the Biden speech tonight. What do you think? I mean, it would certainly be exciting if it was. I think that he has he's probably been pretty much scared into towing the line.
But who knows? It's Joe Biden, like staying on the script is not exactly his strong point.
So it could be pretty exciting. It could be. Right. His staying.
Well, he could stay on his script. It depends. It depends if he can read it. I mean, if he says it out loud. And once in a while, they try to keep him on script.
We'll see what happens because he'll disappear right after that. And then we'll see how he finishes up the last four months. And there's always these things that happen called real life, because for the next four months, we've got a lot of volatile situations and something could pop up. And lastly, when it comes to Wisconsin, on the Republican side, you got Reinch Priebus, who did a brilliant job rehabbing the RNC and getting them ready to take the House and Senate and the White House in twenty sixteen. Evidently, he wants to come back and help.
What does he know about Wisconsin that you think could be a benefit to the Republicans and to Trump?
Well, he's been involved in Wisconsin politics since college days. And I remember going to an event when I was in college, and he was running for office at the time, and he came to speak to the college Republicans there.
So he has a great deal of experience and history here. He has the relationship Um Obviously, right now, there needs to be some movement. There needs to be more money in the state. They've moved the Senate race to Leans Democrat.
So it's not really a focus for flipping the Senate anymore.
So I think yes, I think if he came back, he would he would know the ground game here. He would know how to get things started. I like I said, there is a good ground game going on, but also they're being outspent. Right, the Real Clear Average has Harris by one. All these different New York Times has Harris by four.
Insider Advantage has had Trump by one.
So it's obviously still very much in play. And lastly, on the Eric Hovety situation, do you he's down by about four or five points? Yeah, anywhere anywhere from four to seven, depending on which poll you're looking at. Yeah. So do you think he feels like he's underfinanced, correct?
Yeah, he's being majorly outspent, that's for sure. All right. Thanks so much. Amy Sikme. You could read her stuff in the New York Post covering Wisconsin for them.
Amy, thank you. Thank you, Brian. All right, when we come back, I'll be able to take your calls: 1-866-408-7669. We'll keep you in touch with what's going on in the Battleground States. Right now, CBS did a poll, did an average of all seven.
Fifty fifty. Literally 50-50. Don't move. Hear the ins and outs of the 2024 election right here. The Brian Kill Meat Show.
Radio that makes you think. This is the Brian Kill Me Show. I've been shocked, frankly, that in the last several weeks, the last three weeks, since the July 21st decision by President Biden, that the Trump campaign has not been as focused as it should be. Think about this. They could have come out and said, Tamala Harris cast the deciding vote, broke the tie in the Senate for the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan that even Democrat economists said if you pass that bill, it's going to cause inflation.
Then she voted, provided the key vote to break the tie, to pass the FY22 budget with hundreds of billions of dollars of additional spending, and then turned around and did it again with the next year's budget. They could have said three times she has struck out by voting for additional spending that caused the inflation that we've all had to deal with.
So, Karl Rove is 100% right. I know he's friends with Chris Laudavita. I hope he picks up the phone and tells him that. They should be bringing that up. I do think, I know people say it's going to come quick, and November's quick, but I do think it's still August.
And you got to get through the DNC and the euphoria of her euphoria of her getting this, Joe Biden being out, the shock, and then letting her give some speeches, pick a vice president. It's really tough to get your point across. If they're ready to go. From Thursday uh Friday on. And they do start making arguments like this, but you gotta get Elise Stefanigat, you gotta get Christy Nomat, you gotta get Governor Huckabee Sanders out.
You have to go ahead and use the assets, Tulsi Gabbard, to get people out in small and big events to talk about what Trump would do because of what he did. And that as well as Trump. Trump could be the main event, but you have to have people Rubio, Governor Bergham, has anyone called him since he did not become the Vice President? I don't know. I haven't seen much of 'em.
I don't think I've had somebody I know pretty close to him says not heard anything from the Trump team. He could be really valuable. And start making people out there, independents undecided, feel a little bit better about what kind of cabinet Trump would put together and what he actually stands for. But once again, Carl Robes riding the money. The other big story.
That may not affect the election, but I wanted to bring up what Ukraine is doing. It's pretty remarkable. For the first time since World War II, you have a country get penetrate the borders of Russia. Remember, Germany did it. Napoleon actually did it.
And then Germany does it, and both ended up the same way. This country is never-ending. They end up freezing there in the winter. And then the Russians, who lose millions of people, end up bouncing back and surviving. Almost a robotope thing.
Ukraine, much smaller, two years beleaguered, but they're much better fighters with better equipment. And out of nowhere, they decide to go into Kursk and they're in there about 300 square miles. They've taken over to at least 28 cities. They blew up two significant bridges in Kursk, in that region. And they've been unable to be pushed out or confronted.
These are conscripts that have only been in the military a few weeks, sometimes a few months.
Now they're all prisoners ready to be swapped. And Ukraine, I hope, does this in a humanitarian way, unlike how the Russians do it. And they start making the Russians go off their front lines to stop this. Penetration.
Now you got to set up, they have to be reinforced, they got to be resupplied. All that stuff has to happen. But at the same time, I'm hearing they have a drone army that's battering St. Petersburg.
So imagine you're going to work, you work for an insurance company, you're working for a construction union, and next thing you know, you're looking up and you're watching these murder drones go into the buildings. After a while, you say, honey, I don't think I'm going to go to work today. And guess what? Vladimir Putin, who promised to keep you safe while giving you nothing, now he can't even keep you safe. And what he does best during uh turbulent times is do what Stalin did.
He evidently freezes. Here's Lindsey Graham, cut forty three. This disaster of an invasion by Putin is really biting him. NATO is stronger. He's an indicted war criminal.
He's lost the entire European continent almost for gas customers because of his invasion.
So I want to deter China. And the best way to deter China, I think, is to get Ukraine right. And I just got back from Ukraine. I am in awe of these people. We were told Kyiv would fall in four days.
Well, two and a half years later, they're taking Russian territory. They're in Russia. They've taken half of what Putin seized from the initial invasion. And we need to pour it on and help these people. uh when it comes to uh dealing with this Russian invasion to reset the world.
So what they're asking for and what they asked Lindsey Graham for is to get Biden, to get them permission to start hitting Russia where they're being supplied and where they're hitting them. They have the Attackums, they have the High Mars, they got the mechanized vehicles. They could do it, but they're told you can have this stuff, but you can only bomb certain areas. And the Russians know it, and they sit out just above the line on which they have permission to hit. They're asking everybody with knowledge and sway, like Mark Kelly and others, to allow them to win and be successful and push them out.
Because if Russia gets beaten down, which they are. By not winning, they're getting beaten down every day. And that will give a message to China. Really? We're going to make Taiwan a porcupine or the Trump administration would.
Uh they'll fight like hell. and you'll end up spending a lot of money and embarrass yourself. And expose your lack of being in a war in 60 years. Great message from Iran, too. From the Fox News Radio Studios in Midtown Manhattan, it's the fastest-growing radio talk show.

So before we go any further, Michael Watson. Otley's going to be joining us at the bottom of the hour. In about 10 minutes, Michael Rubin will be with us.
So let's get to the big three.
Now, with the stories you need to know, it's Brian's big three. Number three. It's also time to make sure that no one. Takes any steps. that could derail this process.
And so we're working to make sure that there is no escalation. Uh there are no provocations. could move us away from getting this deal over the line. But we're not close. Don't let anyone kid you.
Hamas, along with Islamic Jihad, tried to pull off a suicide bombing in Tel Aviv last night. Anthony Blake is going to be brutally let down. They're not even neither side wants to do this, and it just makes you wonder when Iran's going to get involved again. Number two. Kamala went full communist.
You heard that. After causing catastrophic inflation. Comrade Kamala announced that she wants to institute socialist price controls. You saw that. Never worked before, never ever worked.
One speech, lots of controversy, hard to defend, price controls. Try to get gouging the state of the campaign. Trump fans pick up the pace. We look at the polls, power rankings, and the best game plans going forward. Number One.
But it's coming along. I feel good about it. I mean, essentially, it's. Much of what you've probably heard me talk about before in terms of just what I believe to be the promise of America. There's obviously a lot at stake, but there's also a lot to feel good about in terms of the future of our country.
Okay, she's running on joy, not facts. The DNC begins. Celebrities, Democrats, luminaries, protesters ascend on a failing city. We call Chicago for the next four days. What to expect?
The security worries, and the protests be sure to emerge. One thing is. One thing is pretty clear. Everyone seems to be pro-Palestinian that's a Democrat these days. Against Israel, which is pretty clear, very much against Netanyahu.
And they're making their stance clear by someone financing the making of these signs, organizing the chants. This thing is. It's not impromptu. How about that? Michael Rubin joins us now.
Michael is a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute where he researches Arab politics, Gulf Cooperation Council, things like Iran, Iraq, the Kurds, terrorism, and things to that nature. Good columnist, too. Michael, welcome back. Hey, thanks for having me, Brian. Michael, first off, how close is the world watching this election here in America?
Oh, the world is watching it extremely closely. All our Are trying to game the system, which again is nothing new. And the fact of the matter is, in a negotiation such as what we have between Hamas and Israel, Someone's going to get a better deal. A lesser deal. And whoever feels they have a lesser deal is going to simply wait to see whether the person who comes next would give them a better deal.
And so Anthony Blinken is just completely unrealistic if he believes that we're on the cusp of a deal. Right. And plus, does anybody want to be back at this in eight months? If we leave the Hamas higher-ups in power, they're going to just get some more soldiers out there, more terrorists, and we're going to have another horrific operation like October 7th.
Well, you're absolutely right, Brian. It's that old adage that insanity is doing the same Repeatedly, but expecting results, different results each time. Remember that in 2006, Israel and Hezbollah went to war. Condoleezza Rice, at the time, convinced the Israelis to end the war so there wouldn't be more civilian casualties, promised, double pinky swore, the UN said, that they wouldn't allow Hezbollah to rearm and look where we are today. The fact of the matter is, if Hamas is allowed to survive, it's snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
150,000 rockets pointed their direction, and they also did this thing with had they had elections. And guess who won? Hamas.
Well, you're absolutely right. Hamas won. But what a lot of people forget is Hamas won barely squeaking by. But then what they did is they turned their guns on the rest of the politicians who challenged them and staged an internal coup. Not that the rest of the Palestinians were any more democratic.
Mahmoud Abbas, the chairman of the Palestinian Authority today, is 88 years old and in the 20th year of his four-year presidential term. Why we would try to throw a democracy under the bus to that is beyond me. That is true. When you look at the foreign policy now, can anybody say the world is safer than it was four years ago? No, absolutely not.
And of course, whereas a little bit longer than that, back in 2016, we talked about that 3 a.m. phone.
Now, of course, the White House has made clear that if that phone call comes any time after 8 p.m., it's going to be put on an answering machine. Right. And we have Russia on the march, hopefully being suppressed. We'll talk about that in a moment. We have a situation where Iran has got all its neighbors worried and the Abraham Accords on hold or on life support.
And China emboldened to harass the Philippines, Japan. And you have the emergence of an axis of evil of North Korea, Iran, China, and Russia. You have Russia and China actually doing military exercises together. You're you're Look, when people smell blood on the wa in the water, there tends to be a feeding frenzy. And what the Americans and the Europeans and those who talk as a mantra about putting diplomacy first never seem to understand Is that when we It's not the forces of altruism that fill it.
It's going to be groups like the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps or the Islamic State or Al-Qaeda. And remember, the Islamic Isn't gone. They're just in a sort of prison town called Alhul. And as soon as we withdraw, which is what is now being discussed. It's going to be deja vu all over Argentina.
I'm sorry, you were breaking up. Would you talk about us retracting from where?
Well, there's a lot of talk that we are negotiating to retract from Iraq and northeastern Syria, in effect, doing what we did in Afghanistan on the way out of the Biden administration. And that is what's a disaster. The point is, Brian, American power is the finger in the dike to terrorism and chaos. And unfortunately, some in the White House don't seem to understand that. It's unbelievable that we would even consider doing that, but we have to be able to let these guys defend themselves.
Right now, the attack that wounded seven of our fighters as our servicemen. there's been no retort. There's been no response.
So that makes them more of a target. And then we look around saying, what are we doing there? And then the average person says, yeah, I don't want my kids there, so why don't we pull them out? But strategically, they're playing an extremely valuable role.
Well, you're absolutely right. And Brian, it doesn't have to be an either or issue. What we did during the Trump administration and, frankly, before, is we would put a small number of forces in to partner with indigenous forces, and that would be a force amplifier. If you have two hundred Americans For example, in some of these African countries where we worry about the rise of al-Qaeda and the Wagner group and all of that, they partner with local forces that hold everyone at bay. That ultimately is what we were doing with the in northeastern Syria.
It's effective. And the important thing is, despite our political rhetoric back home, what it means is we don't need to send huge amounts of Americans into the region. We don't.
So let's before we leave the Middle East, let's talk about what's happening in Gaza. We understand there was, thankfully, a suicide bombing was thwarted or just prematurely detonated in Tel Aviv, or else we would have had a lot of carnage in that city. Number two, we have a situation where Iran evidently is poised at any moment to retaliate against the death of Hania in Tehran. And at the same time, Uh Israel seems to be ready to hit all these Countries and these terrorist organizations in a premature strike, should their intelligence tell them so. Where do you think this is heading?
Well, you know. Strength is the best deterrent. And what Israel is showing is that it can have strength, and that's what's deterring Iran right now. When it comes to Hamas, what frustrates the heck out of me, Brian, is let's not forget, Hamas is a designated terror group. We designated it back in 1997, so no blaming Trump on this.
The fact of the matter is, anyone that says that we should negotiate with a designated terror group, would you negotiate with al-Qaeda? Would you negotiate with the Islamic State? And when people say, hey, look at the devastation in Gaza. I've been to Raqqa, which was the Islamic State capital. I've been to Mosul, which was liberated by the Islamic State.
The destruction was there, was greater than that of Gaza. And who did this destroying? The Americans liberating them.
Now, when I talked to people on the ground in Mosul and Raqqa, the one thing they didn't say is, why didn't we have a pause? Why couldn't you give the Islamic State more food? What they said is the liberation couldn't come fast enough. Why we show this disdain towards Palestinians? And by refusing to allow their liberation, we listened to people like Anthony Blinken instead.
Unfortunately, that's morally inverse, Brian. It is.
So, in terms of why Iran hasn't hid yet, it's because I think what the IDF has demonstrated how lethal they are. Michael Waltz weighed in, cut 41. Just a few weeks ago, they had a house in the middle of Tehran under the protective umbrella of the IRGC during a presidential inauguration go boom and take out Hamas's political leader, Hania. And that sent a very strong message to the Ayatollahs that if we can get him, despite all of that security, we can get any one of you if you take this too far. And then what happened the last time Iran launched hundreds of drones and missiles at Israel?
Israel was asked and pressured to restrain itself by this administration, but they sent a missile in and took out a site right on the cusp of Iran's most secure nuclear facility at Natans.
So I think it's actually been Bibi's strong action that has made Iran think twice. But this also might be the last chance we have to stop their nuclear program. I think you're absolutely right, Brian. And what worries me is the Supreme Leader of Iran is 85 years old. He's dedicated his life to destroying Israel.
And he may just try to throw everything at the Jewish state, figuring he wants to see it happen before he dies. That's why it's so dangerous that, according to Tony Blinken, Iran is now within breakout period of its nuclear weapon. All right, so we'll talk about that. Lastly, you think Taiwan could learn from what Ukraine's doing, and that by going into Kursk and shocking the Russians and then going 300 square miles inside, taking over 28 towns, blowing up two bridges, the Russians can't stop them, it seems. They've got caught by surprise.
How significant is this operation? Oh, it's incredibly significant. And frankly, it should have happened a couple of years ago. This notion that we should try to constrain Ukraine to only fighting inside Ukraine and give Russia a free pass, that ultimately didn't create a disincentive to Russia. Every single Russian working in a defense ministry factory should realize that today could be their last day.
Yeah, I mean, this could be it. I wonder if it's going to reconfigure and put some pressure on Vladimir Putin. What do you want China to take from this? Or what do you want Taiwan to learn from this?
Well, you know, I mean, we look at China as this huge superpower as this monolith. But remember, while China has a huge military, the thing that makes its military special is it's a military of only sons. Because of this legacy of the one child policy, and most people don't want to give up their baby boys. China hasn't fought a war since 1979 when they got in a war with Vietnam, and then they lost. The point is that if we really if Taiwan really wants to deter China, they've got to take this lesson and realize just as morale wasn't as high in Russia as so many people were led to believe, the same thing could be true in China.
And if China is stupid enough to start a war with Taiwan, Taiwan's got to be smart enough to take that war into China. And maybe the Chinese will say, you know what? This isn't worth it. We don't like living under Communist Party rule, and maybe it's time to reconsider Xi Jinping. Michael, do you think they're capable of doing that?
I think they're capable of sabotage. Let's face it. I mean, Taiwan is a country of just a couple of tens of millions, while China has over a billion. That said, Taiwan is fighting for its very existence. Remember, China hasn't really controlled Taiwan for more than a decade over the last 500 years.
And therefore, this notion that China should be allowed to get off scot-free and invade Taiwan is ridiculous. Taiwan's not going to invade China per se, but they could undertake sabotage at the very minimum. And at the very least, we should make it a porcupine, make it almost impossible to attack. And we have this time to do it, and they will write a check to pay for it. We just don't have the weaponry to give it to them at the volume and the speed in which they need it.
Lastly, you wrote a column about why India should worry about Kamala Harris. In what respect? Oh, yeah. Look, Kamala Harris is a bit of an empty shell. And unfortunately, when we don't have leadership in the White House, the State Department's left to its own worst devices.
Oftentimes, they can't see the forest through the tree. They prioritize all this, I mean, exaggerated human rights nonsense in a way where we can undercut real relations with a growing power. India is the largest country in the world, a largest democracy. And if we had the State Department design policy, unfortunately, too many human rights groups would say, oh, we've got to bash the Prime Minister Modi. He's a little bit too much like Bibi Netanyahu.
And that would be moral and strategic blindness. We've got to respect other democracies, not try to throw them under the bush, under the bus for really silly reasons. Do you worry about the next five months? I do extremely worry about the next five months. You know, we started by talking about how rogue regimes will look at American elections.
It wasn't a coincidence that Vladimir Putin attacked Georgia back in 2008 during our election season. It wasn't a coincidence that Azerbaijan attacked Nagorno-Karabakh four years ago during our election season. People try to achieve what they want when the Americans are at their period of peak distraction. All right. Michael, we can go on for hours.
It's a very tenuous time, but your expertise is needed in all corners of the world. Michael Rubin, thanks so much. Thank you, Brian. All right, we come back. I'll have some time to recount and preview what's going to be happening at the DNC, and then we welcome Michael Watley, who did such a fantastic job at the RNC.
How can they rebuild and capture the momentum and start setting the pace again? We'll talk to the man in charge, Michael Watley, at the bottom of the hour. Your calls and comments next. Don't move. Giving you everything you need to know.
You're with Brian Kilmead. More to know. Sponsored by Previgen. Previgen is the most recommended memory support brand by pharmacists. When we play golf together, if I'm not on his team, he'll try to get inside of my head.
I know. And he's always surprised that I don't let him get to me. But I have to remind him, I'm a Trump too. That is pretty amazing. That's Kai, 17 years old, Don Jr.'s daughter.
And she announced she's got a college scholarship going to the University of Miami. Isn't that great? Yeah, well, she verbally committed to play golf. We don't know if she's getting a scholarship or not yet, but yeah. There's pictures that she posted with her mom and her dad doing the University of Miami sign.
Very excited.
Well, put it this way. They can afford it.
Well, that's true. Yeah, give the scholarship to someone else that might need it. Absolutely. And she said she wants to pay her father to give me the great golf courses. Yeah, that's great.
Next. Dr. Dre is getting a training offer from the archery gold medalist because he said he wants to compete in the Olympics and in archery.
So Justin Heisch, a fellow California native who won two Olympic gold medals in Archery, was thrilled after Dr. Drake said he wanted to do it. He says, I'll work with him. Even at 59 years old, he says he can do it. I wish him all the luck in the world.
And I hope we get updates as they continue to train. Yeah, nothing better than hearing updates on archery. People are trying to. It's great for radio. Tell Eric and Eric tells you.
All right. Meanwhile, talk show legend Phil Donahue, dead at 88. He was awesome. Even though he was way to the left, who cares? He was fantastic.
He pioneered a brand new format in terms of talk shows, the precursor to Oprah and everything else that we saw, Heraldo on down, married to Marlo Thomas, who we met on the air, who's an extraordinary person in her own right. He married her 44 years ago, passed away at the age of 88. His children, grandchildren, and his beloved golden retriever, Charlie, will remember him forever.
So that's sad. But he was great. Disappeared for like 10 years, right? He did, but he did leave a legacy. True.
Breaking news, unique opinions. Hear it all on the Brian Kill Me Show. I've been shocked, frankly, that in the last several weeks, the last three weeks since the July 21st decision by President Biden, that the Trump campaign has not been as focused as it should be.
They could have said three times, she has struck out by voting for additional spending that caused the inflation that we've all had to deal with. And that is Karl Rove offering his analysis from Chicago, the side of the DNC. Let's bring in Michael Watley, RNC chairman, and just fresh off one of the most successful conventions ever. I think Democrats would even admit that, but now it's time for them to shine.
Michael, welcome back. It's good to be on with you, sir. Hey, Michael, before you comment on my question, what about your que the question Carl Rove posed? Should you be bringing that out, that she she was Vice President and is, and did cast the deciding vote on the rescue package? Yeah, we're talking about that all the time, every day.
I mean, the fact is that as the tiebreaking vote, she unleashed the inflation that has jacked up housing prices and grocery prices and gasoline prices for every single American family. I think that's a cornerstone of our punch on her. And you've got to talk about the fact that, as the borders are, she's the one that spearheaded 94 executive actions, which dismantled the most secure southern border that we've ever had. And on the international stage, she has been as weak or weaker than Joe Biden when it comes to Israel, when it comes to her praising Hamas, when it comes to her fighting for an independent Palestine. She's the one that told President Putin, do not invade Ukraine.
Five days later, he invaded Ukraine.
So there's a lot to go at Kamala Harris for, all of it based on her record. And that's the conversation that we're having every day. You go. On a record, or do you go on what Sarah gets say is her new beliefs?
Well, look, I mean, she can try to run away from her record. She can try to say that she now doesn't favor gun confiscation. She now is trying to say that she doesn't favor a single-payer health care system and abolishing private health care. She can now say that she supports defending the southern border. But the fact is, she has a record and she needs to run on that record, not run away from it.
I think the question you need to ask her, everybody needs to ask her, is do you now believe? That every signature issue of your tenure as a public servant was wrong, or are you just pandering to the voters? I think that when she actually agrees to an interview, that should be the first question she gets asked.
So she doesn't do any, doesn't do any, excuse me, I correct myself. Yesterday in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she was asked how she felt about President Trump calling her economic plans communism and saying it's basically communist stuff when it comes to price gouging and price controls, cut 11. This campaign is about a recognition that, frankly, over the last several years, there's been this kind of perversion that has taken place, I think. Which is to suggest, which is to suggest. That the measure of the strength of a leader is based on who you beat down.
When what we know Is the real and true measure of the strength of a leader is based on who you lift up. Should Donald Trump be lifting her up?
Well, I think Donald Trump is trying to lift up every American family. He is the only candidate in this race right now that is trying to unify this country by restoring our southern border, rebuilding our economy and restoring our place in the world and our leadership in the world. Kamala Harris is a fundamentally unserious candidate. You look at the issues that she talks about, they're not serious. You know, the economic plan that she put on the table was laughed at by the Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, the Wall Street Journal.
Every single media outlet, every single economist said that it was not a serious plan, despite the fact that these are serious times. And so, you know, when we listen to her talk about these things and tell the president what he needs to be focused on, Donald Trump has focused relentlessly. On every American family and talking to them directly and making sure that they understand he is going to fight for them like he did. We have a four year track record of him in office. And what did we see?
We saw the lowest unemployment ever among women, the lowest unemployment ever among black Americans, the lowest unemployment ever among Hispanic Americans. We saw more people in the workforce. That's the record that he brings to the table. What Kamala Harris has put on the table is a record of open borders, a weak economy, and a weak standing in the world.
So we'll see where it goes.
So I know you guys aren't going to be idle. Today is Make America Wealthy Again. Tuesday is Make America Safe. Wednesday, Make America Strong. Thursday, Make America Secure.
And Friday, Make Him Great. Vance is going to be in Philadelphia today. Kenosha, Wisconsin, Tuesday. He is going to be in Asheboro, North Carolina on Wednesday. And on Thursday, in Valdusta, Georgia.
Where will President Trump be?
Well, he's going to be in Pennsylvania today, Michigan tomorrow, North Carolina on Wednesday, Arizona on Thursday, and Nevada on Friday.
So he's going to be hitting every one of the critical battleground states that we need to be visiting. But more importantly, Brian, he's talking directly to every American family. You know, and he is talking directly to them in a way that only he can do. You know, he does not need a huge, big arena to be able to get his message out. He certainly met the moment at our convention back in Milwaukee and did a fantastic job.
But, you know, his ability to go into these conversations and bring every single TV camera in the state of Pennsylvania or Michigan or North Carolina to him and directly communicate to the American voters is absolutely critical, especially when we're talking about the issues that they care about. You know, we saw polling over the course of the weekend that shows that he is beating Kamala Harris bad on everything. Issue that the voters care about, whether it's the economy, whether it's inflation, whether it's the southern border. You know, every American family cares about jobs and economy. They care about safety.
They care about security. And those are the issues that he is working on. The only thing he struggles on is abortion, but every Republican does. And we'll see what that messaging is. In terms of North Carolina, I saw a couple of polls where he's actually trailing in North Carolina, a state you're from.
Has that state changed, and how is your approach changing to keeping it? It has not changed. What we have seen is one outlier poll from the New York Times that had him down. Every other poll shows him with a very consistent two to three to four point lead. We feel very comfortable with it.
We were just in Asheville, the western part of the state, last week. I actually did an economic conversation in Raleigh with restaurant owners and a number of businessmen on Thursday of last week. The president's going to be back down there on Wednesday. We have a very strong state party down there and feel like we're in a great place to continue to win that state, just like we did in 2016 and in 20. I want you to hear what Amy Sikma said.
She's reading the New York Post, and she's focused on Wisconsin. That's her beat. Here's talking about the ground game. The only way for the Trump campaign to fight back is to talk about policy and the last four years. How has your life been the last four years?
Has it been better? How's your bank account? How's your ability to provide for your family? Are you having to work two jobs? You know, that the focus on the policy is definitely the best thing because.
you're not going to switch. The enthusiastic Harris voters. You're just not going to get them.
So the focus is the independents, the undecided, and we've got a whole bunch of independents on the ballot in Wisconsin. The Democratic, the DNC is fighting the Green Party candidate, Jill Stein. They're trying to get her off the ballot because she got 30,000 votes here in 2016.
So the Democrats are doing an all-out strategy on the ground from every facet, and the Republicans really need to answer that in Wisconsin. Have you licensed out your ground game, Michael Watley? Yeah, look, I think what we have done is we are out there talking to every American voter. We are having conversations. Everybody that is a committed Donald Trump voter, we want them to do more.
What we want them to do is go out and get 10 or 25 or 50 or even 100 other people to commit to voting. We've got a very robust ground game right now, and we are talking about those issues. I think that she did a great job of kind of talking about the issues that Wisconsin and American voters care about. And that's what Donald Trump and our campaign are talking about every day. But is it a little different now?
You're letting the super PACs to do the ground game where maybe give them the money to do it, they have the manpower. No, we're not giving them the money. What we're able to do, because the FEC changed the rules, is have more of a coordination between us and the outside groups when it comes to the grassroots. And so we're taking advantage of the opportunity to coordinate with them. But we still are recruiting and training tens of thousands of volunteers directly to the campaign all across the country.
We also have built out the most robust election integrity program in the history of the country. We already have 157,000 volunteers all across the country that have signed up, registered, gone through training, and are ready to be deployed to serve as ballot workers and poll observers when it comes time for the voting and for the votes to be counted. Michael Wiley, our guest, who's the Republican National Committee Chairman.
So, Michael, looking right now, I see that you added Corey Lewandowski at the top, who's going to answer directly to the former President Donald Trump. How does that go over with Susie Wiles and Chris La Savita.
Well, we've got a tremendously powerful team, and I think that having Corey come on board down the stretch makes a lot of sense. He's a guy who was there with the president back in 2016 throughout the 2020 cycle. He has always been there. I've known Corey for years. I think that he's a tremendous value add.
What we need as we go into this home stretch is all hands on deck. We want to make sure that the president is comfortable with the entire team around him. I think Chris and Susie are very comfortable with Corey. They've worked together over the years. I've worked with all three of them over the years, and we really truly are bringing in everybody to make sure that we've got the team around the president to make sure we win this thing.
Do you. Do you uh have you started with debate preps yet, or has the President decided debate preps? Because I see they asked Tulsi Gabbard to join the team. Yeah, the president is taking these debates very seriously. I think that what you can expect during these debates are going to be what you saw during his debate with Joe Biden.
He hit his marks. It would have been very easy for the mainstream media to say there were two losers in that debate or to say that they were both terrible, but they couldn't because Donald Trump hit his marks. He did a great job of articulating his vision for America, talking about his four years, the experience that he had as president, and what he wants to do to restore the southern border, rebuild our economy, and make sure that America is going to be a leader and able to protect our interests at home and abroad.
So what difference have the new strategy? Instead of going after 81-year-old current president, you're going after a 59-year-old vice president.
So what is the main thing different now? You know how it is a much tighter race. You would agree with that, right? Look, I think Kamala Harris is on a sugar high just in terms of her taking over for Joe Biden, but she's a fundamentally unserious candidate. And I think we're going to go talk about the issues that the American voters care about.
We saw a poll after poll after poll that says that Donald Trump is leading on the issues. We're going to talk about those issues. And we're going to watch her try to run away from the issues that she has defended, that she has championed over the course of her entire political career. I think the question that really needs to be asked is: is she now saying that her position on the border, her position on inflationary spending, her position on gun confiscations, her position on every other issue that she has held dear is wrong and has been wrong the entire time? Or is she just flip flopping because she's pandering to the voters because she knows that there's an election coming up?
Years ago with Lindsey Graham, as you know, firmly in the President's court, but offered this word of advice, Cut 19. I don't look there Vice President Harris is a lunatic. I look at her as the most liberal person to ever be nominated for president in the history of the United States. She's going to the Soviet Union playbook to lower prices called price control. She wants to eliminate private health care.
She's for reparations. She's against fracking. She's for the Green New Deal. On and on and on.
So I would make it about policy. A nightmare for Harris is to defend her policy choices. Every day we're not talking about her policy choices as vice president and what she would do as president is a good day for her and a bad day for us. You agree? Absolutely.
We want to have that conversation. And I think the fact that she is either doubling down on these failed policies or trying to run away from them, she needs to defend where she has been over the course of the last four years as the Vice President, over the tenure of her Senate position, and have a conversation about that. But look, she is. Absolutely a failed, weak, and fundamentally flawed candidate. That when you get her to start talking about these issue sets, the American people are going to see that she's just fundamentally not a serious candidate.
Michael Wiley, I know you're going to be busy. It's going to be a busy week. Will you be in Chicago? Uh You know, right now I'm planning on hitting the road.
So I'm going to be in North Carolina, I'll be in Arizona, I'll be in Georgia, I'll be in Ohio. I think that what you're going to see is all the members of our team all around the country talking directly to the American voters. All right, it's going to be a sprint to the finish. Michael Wiley, thanks so much. Yep, thank you, Brian.
Really appreciate you and your listeners. All right, same here. Thanks so much. All right, when we come back, we'll finish up strong. I see you out there in Dayton, CEO there in St.
Louis. Brian Killmeat Show, don't move. Newsmakers and newsbreakers. Here at first on the Brian Killmeat Show. The fastest three hours in radio.
You're with Brian Kilmead. We are expecting protests to come because we have a mayor who's openly encouraging those protesters to descend upon the city of Chicago. And while we may not have the same statues to grease up because Columbus and others have been removed by our previous mayor, we do know that there are many individuals who are working hand in glove with the mayor of the city of Chicago to bring protests directly to the United Center. And he's not just allowing all protesters, but select protesters. Like, for example, he's not allowing the pro-Israel demonstrators near the United Center, but he's allowing those who are supportive of the Hamas actions to be close and vocal.
So I think that we're going to see some action in the city of Chicago. Democratic Golderman over in Chicago talking about the 100,000 protesters supposed to be there. And this mayor basically said, Hey, if you're not happy, board up your shop and you could just leave for those four days. Unbelievable, right? Crime Through the Roof.
He has not addressed anything. All he talks about is inequity and how bad white America is.
Meanwhile, a couple of things. Tonight, you're going to have Hillary Clinton speak, but most of all, Joe Biden and Joe Biden speak. Not the biggest fan, but the way they ousted him is just ridiculous. Ron Clain brought it up. He told Anderson Cooper his feelings over the weekend.
He said, I think it was unfortunate that Joe was ousted because I think the president had won the nomination fair and square. 14 million people had voted for him and the vice president as vice president. I do think, you know, the president was pushed by the public calls from elected officials for him to drop out, from donors calling from him to drop out. And I think that's wrong. Wow.
Anybody who says that this party has come together is not paying attention. Obamas do not speak to the Bidens. Michelle Obama doesn't speak to the Bidens for a different reason. Bose widows. Iced out.
They were friends. Then you have Nancy Pelosi doesn't speak to the Bidens either. Obama working behind the scenes did not recommend and endorse Kamala Harris right away. It took him four days. They were mad about that.
You got a lot of soap opera stuff going on behind the scenes. Tuesday will be President Obama, J.B. Pritzker, too. Wednesday will be Tim Waltz. Thursday, the featured act, will be the vice president who wants to be president.
And you'll have Jon Stewart there and Stephen Colbert doing his shows. Don't forget to catch my show, History, Liberty, and Laughs, at the Paramount Hudson Valley Theater in Peace Gill, New York. It's coming up October 20th, but get your tickets quick. VIP Experience is still available. BrianKillmee.com.
