I hope Donald Trump is not listening right now, but I believe the star of the show last night was Hulk Hogan. You came out and just nailed it. You electrified the crowd. You've been doing it your whole career, but then you would do that and then you'd wrestle.
Last night it was time to set the tone, talk about your story, and then talk about President Trump. With me right now is Hulk Hogan. Thanks for coming over, Hulk. Brother B, it was really fun last night because when I went into the building, actually it's the first time I've been in Milwaukee without beating somebody up and wrestling. So when I saw the crazy crowd, the vibe was intense. The vibe, like I said when I was out there, it felt like a wrestling crowd.
It felt like I was getting ready to fight somebody for the title or body slam the giant so that the energy was there and I was just trying to figure out how far down to push the gas. Not nervous, right? A little bit nervous simply because they wanted me to work off a teleprompter and they were driving me crazy in the back wanting me to rehearse and I've never done that before. Usually it's all ad lib and I pivot and I do audibles and I work with the crowd. I feel and I think and I hear what the people want and then I respond accordingly. So for me to get out there and throw a teleprompter up, actually my partner Bo was in the back, my manager, and the stage manager goes, he's been out there for six minutes.
He hasn't said anything about the teleprompter. I'm surprised he's still out there. So it was kind of funny but it was coming from my heart brother because Donald Trump is a friend and he's helped me.
He helped me 35 years ago when I was just getting the Hulkamania stuff rolling. We rented the Trump Plaza like I said on the air with you guys for four and five and he's a quality person brother. I watched this guy like a hawk. I watched people, how they treat other people. This guy is gold and when I see how the press postures him and the stuff that they say about him, short story. I was pushing groceries to the grocery store and as I turned the aisle, the tabloids were up by the cashier, I turned the aisle, went down the other aisle, came back up to the other aisle and as I looked at the cashier and the tabloids it says, Hulk Hogan has major heart attack and I was like, what?
I did? So I learned a long time ago, you can't believe anything that they say because they just push really hard to get that negative vibe and everything's negative about Trump and none of that stuff is true. Especially since he had four years in office. We could all make our own decisions.
We don't need someone to decipher it for us. Now for you, you decided to come out and speak and the main reason is after the attempted assassination on Saturday. How did you find out about it? What was your reaction? Well, I was watching. I was at home watching him speak and when I saw it go down, I went, oh my God, what is going on here? And then as I watched farther and farther and I saw the area in the perimeter and I'm going, okay, who dropped the ball? Was this intentional? Why did this happen?
All these questions started coming in my head and then I got mad. Then I got really mad because this is the one guy that's a leader. This is, I call him a gladiator, man. After I saw him get back up and he was just ready to, he wanted to continue the speech is what he told me, you know, and at the end of the day in the wrestling business, we are taking him back, wrapped his head like the spirit of 76 and send him back out there.
He'd really gotten over then. But you know, the thing was he's such a quality person and when I saw that happen, I hate to even say these words, but it got me so peed off. It made me so mad that I said, I'm sitting here like a coward.
I'm watching what's happening in our country, the border, the economy, our children are getting murdered and raped and I'm sitting here like a coward, not speaking up. That's it. I'm over it. I'm done with it. I have to speak up. I have to tell people how great this man is. I've talked to a lot of people who aren't famous who watched that and said, that's it, I'm voting for him. Do you think that, Ripley, your gut feeling, do you think other people had the same reaction you had? I do.
I actually do. But I was the guy that was afraid to wear a Trump shirt. I was the guy that was afraid to wear a red hat. I was the guy that was afraid to put a Trump poster in my front yard.
Those days are over, brother. This guy is as good as a day as long. This is a quality person. Okay, so he's got a little personality that some of us love and some of us don't love. But who doesn't?
I mean, come on, brother. He loves this country. He loves America.
He loves the people here and he wants to get us back on track. So you're gonna do some other stuff with him? I hope so. Yeah, so it's up to the campaign to reach out to you.
So if they do, you'll be in. I hope so. You know, I came off that stage and I was so emotional. I came off that stage. I ran into Eric Trump in the back and I started crying like a baby.
Really? I just broke down. I cried like a baby.
Why? The last time I saw Eric Trump, he was six years old and I had him in a chokehold and his dad was taking a picture of me holding Eric down in a chokehold, you know, and he had a Hulkman shirt on and I hadn't seen him since then. And just for him to be the first person I saw when I came off the stage, I couldn't stop crying.
I tell you, if you can judge somebody by their kids, he grades high. Oh my gosh, his family. They are just so personable. They're so sharp.
You know, the whole family is just an amazing thing. You're on the front page of FoxNews.com with your beer. Tell me about this beer.
Hulk's got his beer out there. Oh my gosh, it is so funny because last night when I said we're going to bring America back together one real American at a time, the theme for the beer is bringing America back together one beer at a time. Because when I saw that open lane where Bud Light crashed and burned with their marketing plan, I saw, oh my gosh, this is middle America, this is NASCAR country, Western, Purple Mountains, Majesty, everything Americana, you know, and I knew how competitive the beer market was.
And that's what I do is I structure deals and I do merchandise and ancillary stuff, done it my whole life. And so when I saw this open lane, I said, America is waiting for the right beer to come along. And I said, this beer is bigger than politics. Because the Democrats, Republicans and Democrats don't talk.
And if I can get people talking over a beer, it doesn't matter the color of your skin, doesn't matter who you are, doesn't matter your religion, whether you're Democrat or Republican, we can bring real Americans back together one beer at a time. And how do we get it? Oh my gosh, you can find it anywhere. Oh, now it's a tribute. Okay, great. The other thing is you're in unbelievable shape. It's an inspiration.
71 years old. Everybody was talking about it. So you ripped your shirt off and I'm like this guy is ready to wrestle still. Great to see you, Hulk. Thanks for the call. Thank you. And I'll catch up to you again. Oh, thank you, brother. So I'm a big fan. Thank you.
