dot com. Pickup fees may apply. From high atop Fox News headquarters in New York City, always seeking solutions, never sowing division. It's Brian. All right, hi everybody!
It's Brian Kilmeade, Joe, coming to you from Midtown Manhattan. Heard around the country, around the world, where the mayor thought it was very important, with everything that's going on in this country, for him to speak in Spanish to illegal immigrants to tell them how to handle ICE. That's how twisted everything is. If you elect the wrong people in this country, notice I didn't say Democrat or Republican. This is just the wrong people.
Lawrence Jones is here, of course, and Kid Rock coming up at the bottom of the hour, which is going to be great. Just quick note: we got this YouTube channel. Everybody's talking about more hotter, I believe, Lawrence than the Trump watch. Go to YouTube.com/slash at the Brian Kilmeade Show. That's everyone's talking about.
That's good. I mean, it's so good. I mean, midterm mania. We got eight days. Eight days.
Well, I just think that as we get closer, people are starting to realize that it's closer than everyone thought. You know, it was reported that Talerico. Was already celebrating. They were already done, right? They thought it was over.
Yes, yes.
So, I just think, and by the way, we'll talk about this probably later. Brian Abdul, I see, totally crashes out with Brett Bear, right? All of these guys that are supposed to be the philosophers and all of that, they can't handle tough questions at all, especially about their own record, their past positions. They just want us to forget it. I know.
This is what Speaker Johnson said. Just when it comes to the polls, now it could be worse. But it could be better. Republicans have stopped answering polls. Cut to those polls are wrong.
They're based on faulty analysis. Look, in the last week, Shannon, you've had two polling organizations nationwide be exposed for completely fraudulent numbers, and the the more traditional researchers and and poll organizations are acknowledging that they they've been undersampling Republicans. In fact, CNN ran a story less than a week ago, and they said that 14 out of the last 16 October. October polls, in those elections, they undersampled Republicans by an average of four points. Republicans are no longer responding to polls.
So that's what Johnson's trying to say. I've been to third. I mean, the numbers are incredible where Johnson's been. I have yeah.
So I talked to a source about this and close to Johnson because he was frustrated about what was going on with the polling.
So apparently, Johnson called the pollsters and said, "What's going on?" And they said, "Don't blame us. Your people don't want to talk to us." And to Johnson responded.
So why? Why do you think they don't want to speak to you?
So I guess the the general consensus is, Brian, that Republicans are being under polled because they're not responding to the pollsters. They don't trust the pollsters.
So this is Johnson's been at twenty six rallies. Trump has done twenty six rallies in twelve days. How unbelievable is that? Speaker Johnson has been in twenty one states, thirty nine districts in the last three weeks, raising money, working with consultants, you know, holding events and raising money. And he's good speaker too, and he's relentless, and he's a happy warrior.
I think he's the ultimate decision. Trump will be in Mississippi today, Corpus Christi in Lubbock on Tuesday, Wednesday in Ohio, Daytona Beach on Friday, and then back to Iowa. And he's also going to go to Michigan. Whether battleground track race, Mr. Democrats, as according to CBS, are on pace to take control of two hundred and twenty nine House seats.
Now, right now, Republican We're at 218, so that would be that would be a good size margin. Yeah, I I think. Look, I'm more so concerned about the house than I am from the Senate. I think things are just a dead heat when it comes. There's so many factors.
Look, I think Collins is going to win. Clearly going to win. There still is a question mark. And I think, by the way, I think Paxton was going to be. I was talking to some pollsters of the weekend.
They say he was he's within one point ahead.
So that was encouraging for for me. But I think there's still a question mark about Al Sayed and Rogers. And here's the question mark: What do Black voters, specifically men, do? Do they stay home? Or do they vote for Republican?
If they stay home or vote for the Republicans, and Al Sayed doesn't get eighty five percent, then it's a ball game.
So Anthony Salvanto does a good job on Face the Nation, CBS. He looked at the polls, and you know he does a good job at not leaving out things. For example, pollsters can just leave out things that look good for the right or the left if they choose. Come for. Number one, turnout is a big factor.
It does favor Democrats right now. More Democrats tell us that they are definitely going to vote or already have than Republicans do. But here's the thing about the Republican side: if you look at the voters who say, "Well, they may be going to vote," more of them are Republicans. They're just planning to stay at home right now. If they get activated or motivated, then yeah, this thing could shift or change a little.
What gets them activated, Brian? The president's rallies. That's you know. There's everybody thinks they're silly, but they're not because the president wants his people to show up, and there was a lot of them that planned on staying home. People talk about Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, all the rest of on the campaign.
This is a whole. Line up of people that you need to get the Dems to show up. There's one person that can get the Republicans' base to show up. That's Donald Trump. Yeah, and he's doing it.
And I was telling you, I thought the Kansas crowd was the craziest. But you brought up too. Barack Obama gets a big crowd, and it looks like a big scale in the back. What What was the setting? It was a high school.
It was a high school gymnasium.
So of course there are people waiting outside. Not many people can get in there.
Meanwhile, the president's hosting rallies at at stadiums.
So come on. Yeah, I want sinners.
So this is you know this is what people are saying.
Well, you know if you want to win the election, you have to if you're a Republican put say the wars got to end and tariffs are terrible, right? And then Mike Rogers I thought was really did his homework.
So he's I'm not going to tell you the tariffs are terrible. Listen, cut fourteen. The best way to do this is walk in and say, "Can we work this out?" And I'll give you a great example how I've done that. I'm not even in office yet. I've been trying to get Canadian trash from coming across our border and dumping in our landfills for over a decade.
And I left Congress in 2014. We still couldn't quite get it done. Called the administration, said, "Hey, we need some help on these Canadian tariffs." But if you're going to tariff anything, tariff this trash that's filling up our landfills. From what the third largest landmass country in the world, and guess what, they announced this week that they were going to tariff those trash trucks. That's what you get when you send somebody back who can work with the president.
Not just work with the president, but understands the issue that it's not some empty vessel that has been indoctrinated with this nonsense of socialism. You know, it's it's it's. There's a lot when it comes to Al Sayed about his radical ties, allegedly, him and socialism where he stands on that. But the third thing, Brian, is competence. You got a guy that's.
Competent and Mike Rogers, who knows the key players, and didn't have to just rail against the president. And said, "You know what? This works within the president's philosophy. This also works for the people of Michigan. Let's get this done before I was even elected." Yeah, he went on to say this about tariffs.
When people just say just just kill the tariffs, right? Cut fifteen. The automobile part portion of these Canadian tariffs worries me a little bit, and we're going to go back and work through those issues to get some relief to make sure that it's good for Michigan, not bad for Michigan. There are other tariffs. We have the Chevrolet Silverado being built in Mexico.
By next year, they've announced it's coming back to Michigan. Why? Because of those tariffs that are based on getting. Reshoring of manufacturing back in the United States—that's huge for us. It's a multi-billion-dollar investment right here in Michigan.
That's a smart way to address tariffs, and and not insulting the audience. Yeah, but you got to understand the issues too, Brian. You know, one, one, and and he he's demonstrated himself. And by the way, he's demonstrated the spark as well. Take Abdul said he says all the time that he wants to talk about health care.
When you finally bring up health care, he doesn't know the numbers regarding Medicare for all.
So you can't have debates with people like that. Although he also looked very angry during the debate, didn't want a back and forth between the candidates.
So again, Brian, it's a lot of question marks in that race.
So I also. Thought when I and we did play it on Fox and Friends, Haley Stevens, who lost by one point the nomination, who seems like a happy person, but just has an interesting presentation that many people had fun with, including SNL. I think so. She lost. But she had almost all black vote, right?
She had like eighty percent of the black vote, right? And and they had him winning by four or five to the point where he was campaigning with us on bike for the last few days. Like, f you, everybody. That's right. They told me to calm down.
So Haley Stevens asked on CNN, "How do you feel about El Sayed?" Cut twenty one. You're still fully behind, Abdul Fatah. I'm on the Democratic ticket. I can't say that I agree with everything that's gone on. Direct question: You know, I wish that first debate had been more about, you know, that rubber stamp for Trump because we got a lot of chaos in Michigan.
You know, I don't want a debate. You know, who's are the enemy of the United States? It's very clear that Iran is. I didn't run my campaign on foreign policy issues, but that was litigated in my primary. You know, I'm not looking to be front and center right now.
I'm looking to be. The team to support, you know, my next governor, Jocelyn Benson, and frankly, these great Democrats. My next senator. Tails off. My next senator.
Make the team. Jeffries, the first black speaker of the House. You didn't mention that to say it in that last answer.
Well, look, I I would just say you had asked me if I'm still on the team. I'm on the team. Right. I'm I'm I'm on the team, but with everyone but Elsayed. That was pretty clear.
Oh yeah, I I can't wait for we have the next governor coming from Michigan, who's a. Oh, the next speaker, because I'm still supporting all the House members who are running, but I won't support him. That much was clear. Tell me that's not telling. I would put if I'm Rogers, I'm putting that on an ad.
That's an ad. Yeah, it may have not been. That may have been an indirect. Endorsement, because all of the things what she's saying is, look, I don't want to relitigate it. They decided not to pick me, but I'm not going out there to campaign for the guy.
Knowing the cycle and the history, if if she had gotten the nomination, she would have been a much tougher, tougher, way tougher. The question is, what is Michigan going to do? It's interesting though. There's a woman that campaigned on being a moderate that Rogers went against the last time, Alyssa Slotkin. What is she gonna do here?
We would love to hear from her.
So, do you want to hear Alyssa Sladkin be defended? I want to get to Texas before I let you go, but I do want to see Jason Crow was asked about Alyssa Sladkin. For people that don't remember, Alyssa Sladkin came out and said, "I want to make, I want to put so much scrutiny on the Trump administration. I want the next twenty. I'm paraphrasing the next twenty year old to say, I wanted to go work for the Trump team, Republicans, but it's not worth it.
Yeah, wow, that's really your focus on preventing the next generation for working. For Trump for the last two years, so Jason Crow was asked about it. Listen to the former special operator, military veteran. Cut twenty-two.
Well, I didn't hear the full conversation, and and I can tell you, I'm I'm very close friends with Alyssa Slocum. She's a patriot, so I think the key here is is we don't want people to want to go to work for a corrupt administration to try to line their pockets. Like that is not servant leadership. If the message is being sent from Donald Trump is hey. Come to work for me, and you'll get a lot out of it, and you'll get rich doing it.
That's actually not public servants. That that that is the that is antithetical to what Alyssa and I, when we served in the national security infrastructure, when we served in the military. In my case, that that is that is the exact opposite of what public service should be about. That that is the message. Excuse me, that is such BS.
He knows better. He's an operator, and she was former CIA. She was not talking about people that are enriching themselves. We actually all condemn that type of behavior. The president's Department of Justice is going after those type of people.
So don't don't don't give me that. She was talking about specifically people that just wanted to support the president, support Republicans, young, savvy, college kids, the people that don't work. Any money to knock on doors that support the cause, and she wanted to intimidate him. And all you had to do is say. Is the congresswoman?
I'm sorry, the senator. That was a misstep there. She's a friend of mine, but it was a misstep. Instead, he makes up something because no one was talking about that, right? Do you think that Trump is?
By the way, do you think Trump is recruiting twenty two year olds? The Trump, the Trump White House, got a lot of things to do. Yes, they're not focusing on the twenty two year olds. You want to come? You want to come?
You know, you're part of Turning Point. You probably want to intern with Trump or with the White House. That's the whole point is the intimidation. Of those young people, you know, is Adam Schiff going to be suing twenty-two year olds come out of college? Good luck with that.
Such a so he pretends that Trump said, "Come with me and I'll make you rich." He's never said that to anybody. Exactly.
So that's crazy. I want to talk a little bit of Texas. James Talerico going after Ken Paxson? No. Elon Musk cut twenty-five.
We just we just found out. That the richest man in the world is almost single-handedly bankrolling this effort to install Ken Paxton in the U.S. Senate and stop the movement that we are building here in Texas. In in all likelihood, if you've seen an attack ad on your TV, that was Elon. If you've gotten lies in your mailbox, that was Elon.
If you've received a text message saying scary things about me with scary black and white photos, that was Elon too. Say those things? Did you did you say those things that are in black and white, or or did you say it was a misstep, or you got a little ahead of your skis? By the way. And maybe people don't know this.
Elon is a Texas resident. He votes in Texas elections.
Now, ask the guy who wants to represent us. Where is he getting his money from? California Democrats, right? Democrats from Washington. They're not from Texas.
So, if you're going to be upset that Elon is involved in his state where he has his residence, then be upset with the guy that is being funded by outside groups that don't love Texas.
So, let's think about Elon Musk. What he means to Texas? He has four thousand six hundred twenty acres in Grimes County. Along with the KBTX review of the appraisal record, says this separate later snapshot wouldn't combine with the older statewide figures. But he's basically spending, giving thirty million dollars worth of tax revenue there.
He's got major operations, big footprint in in Austin with SpaceX in South Texas complex, and the Boring Company, which no one talks about, but they make tunnels and things to relieve traffic. And Bastrop, two distinctions: Texas property taxes go to local. Governments and school districts, not the state regulators. Can imagine that.
So you want to kick out the guy that's putting tens of millions of dollars of tax revenue in taxes and left California, and you think that he is the problem? Though he's your problem because he thinks you are crazy. And most Texans think he's crazy as well. I've said it time and time again. I understand that Ken has some baggage, but as we get close, by the way, the early voting numbers—I was talking to a source working on the ground—looking good for Republicans in in Texas.
But you got to keep got to keep your foot on the gas. That's what matters. I don't care if we win by half a point. A win is a win. Lawrence, thanks so much.
And when, when you come up here on Sunday, is it almost therapeutic to talk a little bit? It is. I needed to get it out. Right. I don't know why.
We had a three-hour show, but you still wanted to talk more. It's amazing. Oh, listen, we'll be back in a moment. Bottom of the hour, Kid Rock. Don't move, Brian Kilmeade.
From breaking news to big name guests, Brian brings you insight you won't hear anywhere else. You're listening to the Brian Kilmeade Show. How can we help make stronger communities happen?
Well, at J.P. Morgan Chase, we invest in what's working. Because when businesses can grow, that growth means more jobs for more people, and more goods that can go to more restaurants and main streets and schools in the communities we love. Make the green grass grow all around, all around. Make the green grass grow all around.
Make momentum happen. Learn more at jpmorganchase dot com slash impact. The more you listen, the more you'll know. It's Brian Kilmeade. For the last year and a half, we have been pissed.
We've been depressed. We've been angry. We've been frustrated. We've been feeling alone, hopeless, powerless. She is so terrible.
I mean, I am so angry and giggling. What is giggle? What is the giggle? Did anyone ever work with her on a message and a policy or anything? She's out there because, as a black woman, she feels she can deliver the black vote.
But do people know how what an insult she is to people that want to prepare to lead? I my whole life spent public service. Your whole life's been you getting important jobs. Important jobs, important places, and not standing for anything in order to go up the ladder. I I hope for Republican sake that she wins and goes and runs the nomination because she will get crushed because people don't want total incompetence.
Maybe a certain party does to get the to get the nomination, but the whole Nat Newsom Kamala Harris thing—one is more competent than the next. They stand for absolutely nothing. I look at Bashir and Shapiro, and I think they're moderate until they talk. And they're not, so I think you got huge problems on the left. But we'll talk about twenty-eight plenty after November third.
Now it's going to be a huge race, and I can't get enough of the analysis. But I will not be married to the polls. When we come back, my my interview with Kid Rock. You are listening to the Brian Kilmeade Show.
So glad you're here. One eight six six four zero eight seven six six nine. After the kid, for kid interview, we take your calls. How can we help make stronger communities happen?
Well, at JPMorgan Chase, we invest in what's working, because when businesses can grow, that growth means more jobs for more people, and more goods that can go to more restaurants and main streets and schools in the communities we love. Make the green grass grow all around, all around. Make the green grass grow all around. Make momentum happen. Learn more at jpmorganchase dot com slash impact.
A radio show like no other. It's Brian Kilmeade. All right, buddy. Brian Kilme here. Thanks so much for listening.
Truly appreciate. Hope you had a fantastic weekend. And thanks to everyone for coming out in Palm Beach. It was amazing to see everyone in this beautiful bookstore, Raptus Books. It was just to see all these these rare books.
I just was in absolute heaven. It was almost like being in the Smithsonian. And just everybody knows how beautiful Palm Beach is and fantastic people. And then I had a chance to go to Vero Beach. Man, I felt like I signed over three and.
Hundred and fifty books, and then I signed some others that were going to sell before Christmas. Another thousand.
So, thanks for everyone that coming out. I am really looking forward to seeing people in Doylestown, the first of November in Pennsylvania, United States. At Barnes and Noble there, just just make reservations ahead of time. This way, you get the book. You get online; they'll give you a VIP service.
And then I am doing Fox Nation shows on stage, talking about all my books in Clearwater, and then over in Jacksonville, the eighth of November. WOKV listeners know about that. Then I'll be in Dallas, November fourteenth and the fifteenth in Fairhope, Virginia, and then also after Fairhope, I'm going to Destin, Florida.
So it's going to be. It's gonna be cool. Actually, I'm gonna start in Destin and going over Fairhope. A lot of driving. I want to meet a lot of people.
Hopefully, all of them person. And don't forget politics and pints. I'm gonna be VIP. People who get VIP tickets get a book in United States. We'll be there with WRVA listeners.
It's gonna be great.
So I have a chance to talk to Kid Rock on One Nation, and it was the I didn't have a chance to air the whole interview.
So here we're gonna hear the whole interview. I had a chance to talk to him about very cerebral guy about what's happening. In politics, but coming off his big meeting in the White House with Bill Maher and Stephen A. Smith, I talked to Stephen A. Smith about the meeting.
was unbelievable. He loved it. They don't agree on everything, but it was enlightening for him. Great conversation at Sean Hannity and Angelique's wedding was just great. But Kid Rock, really deep thinker.
He had to leave at eleven o'clock that night. He said it was still going on past midnight. President's got a country to run too.
So here's my interview with Kid Rock. I wanted just the whole thing for our radio listeners. Metallica is not here like some other entertainers. They're here to with their.
Okay, here to forget about all the outside. Metallica's agenda is love, energy, and heavy music. There you go, rocking out without the political lecture. Can you imagine Metallica making it clear they're here to play music? They're not going to push politics.
It doesn't mean they don't have an opinion. They're not going to do it instead of playing.
So it's a message that stands in sharp contrast to several artists who have shied away from their bringing their political views to the stage. In fact, they've been going forward and saying things like this: "Free Palestine." I said, "Free Palestine." This White House is destroying the American idea and our reputation around the world. I just wanted to take a moment to think about what's going on tonight. People who don't look like you and aren't born where you're from—they deserve respect and love. Number one, I just don't get what he's wearing.
Number two is, does he know he's talking about? That's Harry Styles. He's talking about an illegal immigrant with an alarming rap sheet that was shot by ICE in New York City because he was trying to run them over with his car. But when fans buy pay big buckets of money for a concert, are they buying a ticket to a show or a political rally? We got to ask that question, and I got to ask it to my next guest because he knows all about it.
He's not afraid to speak. Speak his mind out about what's happening in our country. He is rock legend Kid Rock. There's a brand new album out. We're going to talk about.
But Kid, great to see you, Bob. Fantastic. Good to see you. What do you think about what I just showed you? Are you on the Metallica side or are you the Harry Styles side?
Metallica all day long. I agree with James Hetfield a thousand percent. I agree with McJagger when he says it. Stage and. And sporting arenas—that isn't the place to preach your politics.
This is the place to talk about politics, right here, today. And I believe it's okay to have an opinion. It's—it's a disappointment that so many people hate other people and artists because they may have opinion outside of being on the stage or their music. You know, I'll be the first one to say, even though. The clip I saw Bruce Springsteen—he looks like he's dressed as like a substitute school teacher.
I don't know what's going on with him. I still, I still enjoy his music. I could care less about his politics, but I've said a million times, I believe that thinking differently and having the freedom to do so is what makes this country great. Would he speak to you if he saw him? Because being that you know you're having dinner, I would think so.
I would think we could at least be cordial or whatnot. But but I do think about that from time to time. I go, you know, because I've said a million times, I'll speak to anybody. I have a an open, honest, you know, constructive conversation with anybody on the face of this earth. I don't care if it's Dylan Mulvaney or James Hetfield, anybody.
But I wonder sometimes. I go, would Billy Eilish, if I said, hey, let's have lunch, she'd be like, I'm not sitting down with that. Get rock! These people are whacked out. You know what I mean?
Because you you see you see this in their mannerisms and how they portray themselves. What are your big hit songs with Cheryl Crow? Yeah, and we still sit down and talk. You do it? Does it?
She had me over to her house. I don't know, maybe a year ago or something to talk about gun control. Right. Happy to sit down with her. I was like Cheryl, you live in the wrong town.
She lives in Nashville now. I'm like, move back to L.A. or New York City where you were for all those years till you had you know your beautiful children. Right. I was like, going back to the spot.
No guns. Let's talk about Michigan. I know you're passionate about this. Is not this is locked in? It going against Mike Rogers.
Let's see what happens. Center left against center right. May the best candidate win. The CIA person against the FBI person. I'm personally fine with that too.
Me too. I, as an American, I'm very concerned about El Sayed. I know he doesn't like the country. His die, his background that's already been on video. But you're in Michigan.
Why is this even close? I have no idea, really, and I and I wonder about these polls. I really do, but I mean, Michigan's a purple state, and we're in the midterms. We know the midterms are very hard to win for either party. I'm not sure if either one's won it in 80 years.
I heard of something like this, but you have to be careful of somebody like that. I mean, even my friend Bill Maher agrees with me, and I've been saying this man's a wolf in sheep's clothing, or very potentially can be. I mean, you look at his background, his ties, his mother's ties to the to the Muslim. Brotherhood, and you don't think a mother has influence on her children, and you know this man. You know it looks like he assimilated very well to American culture and had great opportunities and took advantage of all those.
But he claims to be a liberal. What's your stance on abortion in the Muslim community? How about gay marriage? How about women's rights? I don't think anyone's pressed him on these issues.
And every time they talk about Iran or Israel, who's the biggest threat? He can't pick one. Right. And I'm like, wait a second.
So this guy's assimilated. I go, guess who else is assimilated? The Fort Hood shooter, the men, the pilots. Who assimilated and on 9/11 the hijackers? Yeah, flew those planes into our things.
You don't think this man can assimilate to further his religious ideologies, right? And I go, it's scary stuff. I don't care if you're a Democrat or Republican, like you said, Alyssa Slotkin or Mike Rogers. I get it. Those are two different ideas.
We might have some fundamental differences, but may the best person win. And I would congratulate them on either side. Always have, you know, of Democrats, Republicans. This is scary now. These people are socialists.
They hate our country and they want to implement. Their ideologies on us, and one another. Another reason I'm jealous of you is I was not at the dinner, but the most fascinating dinner you could possibly attend. Stephen A. Smith, Bill Maher, Kid Rock, with the President United States, four and a half hours.
You had to leave at eleven o'clock at night. They were still talking. You know how many times I've left the party early in my life? One, zero. That was it.
Right, because you have an album coming out, and everyone's excited about. You want to come here, but can you give us a tone and tenor? Yeah, it was very, it was very constructive. Civil conversation touching very, very poignant issues to everyone involved. Stephen A.
had his issues, especially with the black community, which he made very vocal. Was he mad at the president? Anything? No. No, but when he said, you know, if he would say, "I don't agree with you on that," I think differently.
That was fine, and they could banter about it, talk back and forth. I will let him share those conversations. Understood. I can verify them if need be. And the same with Bill.
Bill was a lot more relaxed this time, being our second dinner there, and he got to ask the president some tough questions, and the president answered them all. And it was this is this is what America needs more of. This is what we need more of. I want you to hear this. I don't know if you saw, but I knew this was going to happen.
I didn't know it was going to happen this week. But he said this on his show. Watch. I'm having dinner with him again next week. He just out of the blue, let's have dinner again.
I was like, great. And and he was like really nice. Like, I promise, I won't say bad things about you, like I did the last time. And I texted back, and I said, "You know what? You're the President of the United States.
Say whatever the want. I'm just glad we're talking." Right, and when the president went at him, said I never should have dinner with him. He was on the say, I go here, he's going to yell back at the president. Said he goes, Ah, don't worry about it. Yeah, I knew he was going to get mad.
I tell that story from the first dinner. No, it's like I'm in the Oval Office the day of the dinner, and you know I understand Trump. The president has a lot of things going on, and he's like. This dinner tonight with Bill Maher. He's like, you know, I didn't even know about it.
He's like, Melania told me about this morning. He's like, I don't know if this is the right thing. Blah blah. I'm like, whoa, whoa, wait a minute, sir. I'm like, do you think, number one, that I would line up a dinner with with one of your biggest adversaries and not tell you about it?
I go, number two, do I have the power to do that? Can I just call? I'm having dinners. You show up. You're even more powerful than you thought.
Bill was a lot more relaxed this time, and really, and it was great because he was more open to ask a lot of the tough questions that he wanted to ask. And one of the things you did tell me on Fox and Friends is the D.I. is being misinterpreted. It's not anti-minority. It's leveling the playing the field to give people opportunity.
And when a minority breaks through, it's not going to be because someone put their hand on the scale. And that's how it was converted. And maybe to Stephen. I've seen a lot of black men, educated black men, on podcasts like the Cartier family and whatnot, that understand this. That that they don't want to play victim.
They they want just the opportunities everyone else has, and may the best and the brightest, you know, win. That's that's America. That's how it should go. We got to get over this. Oh, you know, this, and you know, you're a victim of this.
It's got to stop. Right. I'm excited for you. I've never seen you so pumped up for an album. You got a brand new album.
It's called Halfway to Number. Jesus, and it's out. How hard?
Well, what what makes this special? Because you told me this is really special to you, not just to be successful.
Well, it's number one spreading, you know, the word of my Lord and Savior, Jesus. But with a kid rock style, right? Very kid rock. This is not this is not your father's spiritual album. This is everything I do: rock and roll, country, hip hop, rhythm and blues.
It's the music I when I go to different churches, and there's no shortage of talent. Talent between Nashville and Detroit in the church. I'm still not hearing the music that I want to hear that that makes church a place or a revival a place that you want to be, not that you kind of have to be. Not feel this dark kind of thing. Catholic church, you know, I'm Catholic and proud of it, but man, that church is boring.
So I created these songs and I'm spreading this message. It's about you know forgiveness, second chances, about healing some of the division in this country. I got my old friend Eminem on there, Little Wayne. Gary Lavois, Jimmy Allen.
So it's it's very special to me to put something positive out, extremely positive in the world. When another musician comes and sees your work and joins and joins the song, what's the feedback they gave you when they read it and listened to it? You mean the people on the album? Yeah. Oh, they were totally down with it.
Totally got it. Me and me and Eminem talked years ago, just when the political thing was going on and Trump entered the spectrum. You know, he went pretty hard at him. I was all for him, still am. That you know, hey, let's not let politics divide us.
We've been friends for far too long. We have too much history, and we have we've remained friends for nearly forty years. Wow.
So, and I think who would have thought that two little foul mouthed white rappers from Detroit could maybe show America? A little bit of grace and how we can still be friends even though we think different. And dare I say, you not only want people to listen, but also read the words because the words matter, and and that's where the impact is. Yeah, he's been speaking to me for about two years through ones and sevens, and that's you said. God has been, yes, God has been.
So I don't know what that means, ones and sevens.
Well, my birthday is one seventeen seventy one. You know, my middle name is James. I looked up James one seventeen in the Bible, which basically says all good things come through God, and I could go on and on. I live Off exit seventeen, I will have friends who are dying say talking to them and saying, "Look at my daughters." I'll tell them about this journey and say, "Look at my daughter's number from her dance competition yesterday. It's one seventeen." I could go on.
I live off exit seventy one. It's sevens and ones, and I've seen it my whole life, but. Couple years ago, especially after Charlie Kirk was assassinated, I started to grow closer to my faith, like a lot of people did. And these numbers kept coming. I was like, "This is God speaking to me," and it would be in weird times when I had different thoughts about different things.
And I started to write that stuff down. And next thing you know, I have this album of material, and I'm like. All right, man. I'm listening. I'm gonna do it.
I'm gonna put your word out. I got you, buddy. Between your talent and that type of motivation and inspiration, this is gonna be maybe your biggest hit. It draws a lot of evil's lurking. It already is.
I can tell. And a lot of my my very spiritual friends have told me, like you know, you have a very big platform and a voice to spread this word, and evil's gonna come at you. And I've already seen it in a few forms. And the records just came out. Thanks so much, buddy.
Appreciate it. That Kid Rock's new album. Halfway to Jesus is now out. Download it. Hey, when we come back, I'm able to find out what other major stories are percolating below the headlines that you need to know.
With more to know and so much more, in my calls and of course taking calls at one eight six six four zero eight seven six six nine. You're listening to the Brian Kilmeade Show. It's Brian Kilmeade. You're with Brian Kilmeade. The model and the vote preference has been pretty stable at 229. There is a range around that. There is a narrow path for Republicans to still hold on to the House. Democrats could go a little bit higher.
The big thing is that does not describe a giant. Blue wave that would be a fairly historically narrow House majority.
So that is Anthony Salvanto on CBS Face the Nation yesterday. Does good job. It's just the numbers.
So what happened is, if you have enthusiasm and say eighty percent, let's say eighty percent of Democrats say they're enthusiastic, and sixty-seven percent of Republicans say they're enthusiastic, that leads you a who's that gives you an idea who's going to vote. But what they're trying to say is. No one stopping the Republicans from getting enthusiastic in the next eight days.
So they project, judging by enthusiasm, likely to vote with the percentages of the town. What's going on with the president's approval rating? That's what makes them project. But if the president's much higher approval rating than than it appears, because so many so few Republicans answer the polls, and he's remember he wasn't supposed to win twenty sixteen. When he lost in twenty twenty, got more votes than any Republican in history.
No one thought that was going. Happen? They were really critical of the pandemic. They wouldn't acknowledge the success of the vaccine, and then in 2024, you know what happened? They never predicted that.
You know, they thought they, you know, they, you know, they never predicted. Maybe they thought he'd win Pennsylvania, but not every battleground state.
So why would this be any different?
So they always leave that thing in.
Well, it could be wrong, and the enthusiasm can grow when it comes to. Man, I'm in Michigan. I don't really want to vote, but wait a second. That guy scares the hell out of me. I got to go for Mike Rogers.
I got to do it.
So in Ohio, John Eustis has never been winning. Sherrod Brown's been over fifty years there. It's hard for me to believe they want to go backwards because John Eustis is a workhorse. He's not a show horse. He's about two two points down, cut twenty seven.
And then, if you want to talk about prices, the Democrats are the ones that wanted to cancel pipelines, close power plants, shut down refineries as part of their green radical agenda, and that has reduced supply to meet demand. Ohio, for example, Sherrod Brown voted to to give the EPA the ability to close power plants. They closed 23 power plants in our state. We used to be a net exporter of electricity.
Now we're a net importer of it because of his bad decisions, and that's why electricity prices are going to go up. And I'm going to fight to open up new power plants, refineries, and create the supply to meet the demand to lower prices. It sounds pretty specific. That's the one thing I think is a joke. If you want to vote for Democrat, go ahead, but please don't tell me they're going to make things more affordable.
There's nothing about their agenda is going to make more affordable. The only thing they say is we're going to bring more revenue in by having a wealth tax in California and hopefully the country. Really?
So you think the billionaires, millionaires are the problem? I don't think you understand capitalism. You don't subscribe to it, or you've been miseducated for it. Millionaires open up businesses, take risks, they hire people, mentor people, they create other millionaires. There are thousands of millionaires.
That Jeff Bezos has created, but even more that Musk has created, because they work for him, they establish themselves, he gives them stock, they have a stake in the company. This is basic things you should have learned in college, but for some reason you learned just to hate success. How can we help make stronger communities happen?
Well, at JPMorgan Chase, we invest in what's working—in businesses that create more jobs, in hospitals delivering care where it's needed the most, in workers building new buildings, bridges, and roads, connecting what we need to where we live. From the Fox News Radio studios in Midtown Manhattan, it's the fastest-growing radio talk show. Brian Kilmeade. Thanks so much for being there, everybody. It's the Brian Kilmeade show. Thanks to everyone who came out in Palm Beach, was so cool to meet everyone, and then the huge signing, huge signing in Vero Beach, which is traditionally just a fantastic signing.
It was just two floors, two rails, over four about four hundred books signed, about six hundred others to leave behind through the holidays.
So again, I appreciate it. This hour is going to be exciting. I'll be able to talk about my book on America's Newsroom. It's going to do a simulcast. You'll get to hear the.
Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino talk to me, and we'll talk about that. We're going to talk about twenty twenty eight and so much more, and also what's happening with the WNBA. There's a call. The president says start boycotting the WNBA. Yeah, I know they're getting more crowds and getting some some heat and some sponsors, but the fact that they run off the court rather than stand for the national anthem, I agree.
Do not give them your time. And by the way, I have no problem boycotting the WNBA. It'll be a huge hole in my life, but the sacrifice will be worth it. Pete, would you give up the WNBA for the country? That's going to be tough.
I mean, I there for the country. Boy, in my life, if I for the country, it's the WNBA. Brian, come on, Eric, will you give up the WNBA for the nation? I mean, Sophie Cunningham. Right.
Yes, it's not going to be easy, but she's out of the playoffs anyway. Maybe we'll get this thing resolved in the off season. I know you counted on looking at her every day. I mean, watching her play every day.
So let's get to the big three. Number three, do I have a decision to make? Do I finish it off, which would be very easy to do, or do I make a deal? That's the decision. We are going to find out.
President United States is voice a little gravelly, but is bouncing back. Iran is in the final stages of attacking us. Yep, that's what they say. Where could these attacks happen, and would Trump decide whether to start Epic Fury Three with the economic suffocation working so well? Number two, I think the two that should concern are the most right now are the allegations of using a fake name and also the allegations of being naturalized under a a fraudulent date of birth.
Those are crimes within the statute limitation. There you go, Jonathan Feige. Elon Omar's personal political story falling apart.
So she calls Hassan Piker to save the day. As fellow Minnesotans panic with her, his presence. We look at the investigation, which gets more serious and dumbfounding by the day on her decisions and her future. I'm talking about Elon Omar, but that's not her name. Number one, there is a narrow path for Republicans to still hold on to the House.
Democrats could go a little bit higher. That does not describe a giant blue wave. That would be a fairly historically narrow House majority. Anthony Salvanto of CBS: Big guns hit big impact states as midterms are now in eight days away. Just believe.
Just don't believe the polls. I mean that plus and minus because Republicans. Republicans aren't talking to the pollsters. I talked to two pollsters over the weekend. I was at Sean Hannity's wedding with Ainsley, so everybody's there in politics.
So I had a chance to talk to them. And the one thing they're saying is, "I don't know." And I go, "What do you mean you don't know?" We we just can't. Every cycle, fewer and fewer Republicans refuse to take our call, so we oversample Democrats and excuse the results. And also, I think there's a big push to make people dispirited on the right and say you don't don't bother. The president's going to get routed.
It's what tradition and history says is going to happen. And before we bring in Michael Goodwin, here's Speaker Johnson on that cut too. Those polls are wrong. They're based on faulty analysis. Look, in the last week, Shannon, you've had two polling organizations nationwide be exposed for completely fraudulent numbers, and the the more traditional researchers and and poll organizations are acknowledging that they they've been undersampling Republicans.
In fact, CNN ran a story less than a week ago, and they said that 14 out of the last 16 October polls in those elections they undersampled Republicans by. An average of four points. Republicans are no longer responding to polls, and we're going to figure this out. And it's so much harder when you do the president stuff. It's it's hard, but look, you know, you try to really surround these different districts and control people.
But you're talking about all—I mean—they're campaigning in almost all 50 states. I got the vice president of Montana, the president's going to Nebraska and Kansas.
So you can't even say I'm not worrying about that. I'm just going to focus on Texas. No, you can't. Let's bring and also in New York, there's a real shot that that Bruce Blakeman has got a legitimate shot, much better than anybody thinks. Lee Zeldin lost by six, and everyone was shocked at that.
One of the reasons he lost because Roe v. Wade was just overturned, and he's vehemently pro-life in a very blue state. It was a tough sell. You might be pro-life too. You most likely are, but I'm just talking about the General Electric might not be where General Electorate might not be where you're at.
Michael Goodwin joins us right now with the New York Post. Michael, I never remember so many states and so many seats in play. Good morning, Brian. You're right about that. It feels like nothing is settled.
We're ultimately talking about in the House a relative handful of seats, but nobody knows for sure which of the 435 seats we're talking about. Right, everything seems to be. Up in the air, nothing seems to be certain, and I think that's owing to several factors. One of them is just the the era we live in, right? Whether it's AI or just the whole social media complex.
Also, we it has to do with Donald Trump, who is both loved and hated, and so a lot of people just unsure how they feel, and so. I think a certain level of uncertainty is really warranted here, and anybody who is certain, I would ignore. I agree because I'm not going to tell everybody what's going to happen. I'm I'm perfectly capable of saying I don't know, but I can examine the strategies. I could examine the reality.
I could watch the president's crowd. Here's what he had to say. I, by the way, see the president's energy. He just did a Fort last night on Friday night. He did a Fort.
He had a normal day, morning. Talked to the press three times, and then he did a Fort Myers speech, last over an hour, and then he came in and just worked the room for three hours. Sat down, had dinner, watched a bunch of speeches, talked again to everybody, and then left. That was just Friday. He's eighty years old, Michael.
I mean, it's pretty amazing, and I like when people like. I was listening to James Carville, that clown. I do think he's a clown, and he came out and told Laura Ingram what he has been saying all along: that Trump will quit before he's done. He's going to get so tired of this, he's going to quit. On what planet do you think a guy that worked this hard to get back to the White House would ever quit early when he's been doing so much through executive orders in his own volition?
You know, I think Carvel is sort of fixated on shock. Right? He's got to say something that shocks, or he has no purpose. And I think that's just a habit he's fallen into. Is trying to be the most outrageous kid in the room.
It's like a Like a high school punk who just has to always have the attention. Yeah. So I mean, that's who we're looking at now. I mean, just some analysis. Here's Anthony Salvanto of CBS.
Cut three. The model and the vote preference has been pretty stable at two twenty nine. There is a range around that. There is a narrow path for Republicans to still hold on to the House. Democrats could go a little bit higher.
The big thing is that does not. Describe a giant blue wave that would be a fairly historically narrow House majority.
So he goes on to say that he the enthusiasm is growing for Republicans, but is greater with Democrats. Do I know if they're going in the last eight days? They're going to look around, see El Saeed, that they're going to look around and see Talarico, and say this is too. These guys are too crazy. I got to.
I got to go vote. How do you know what enthusiasm? If I'm going to go vote, do they measure enthusiasm when I turn over or fill out a form? Of course not. Am I enthusiastic enough to show up?
Please tell me on what planet you can figure out what every state's going to do. Yeah, you know something, Brenda. Our old friend Ed Rollins always says that as the election gets closer, it becomes harder and harder to gauge where it's going because so many people make up their minds at the last. Minute and no poll can pick that up because it happens the weekend before the vote or the few days leading up to it, and so that there will always be an element. Surprise!
So, what do you think in your column? You write about Bruce Blakeman shocking the world. I know what that's he wants. I know how how how how strong he is on the stump and what a great story he has. He needs about thirty percent from New York City, from the boroughs.
He's uh he's got a lot of people dissatisfied in upstate New York, and he's got a he's got Nassau County really impressed. That's where he runs in Suffolk County as well. Can he? Do you think he will? I'd have to say at this point, it would be a it would be a shock if he pulls this off.
Now he talked to me about his own private polls, that some of which he has released, do show a much tighter race in the public polls that have been released, to show her with anywhere from as much as eleven points. Recently, some are closer than that. But basically, they all hover on the in the lead, and there's there's a kind of so what quality to a lot of that because New York is such a blue state, and it would be a tremendous upset. No Republican has won statewide in New York, meaning U.S. Senator, Governor, Attorney General, anything like that, since George Pataki in 2002.
That's a very long. Time ago now, so any time a Republican can win statewide, wow, that would be a new day. It would be something, and I just think it might be the perfect mix because Hochul is so unpopular. You know, it tells me a lot. You know, Swazey didn't appear when he came into Nassau County.
Nobody wants to appear with her. You know, this the whole. The in the in Mike Lawler's district, Kay Connolly, she won't appear with him. She's with her. Why is that?
I mean, if she if she is the sitting governor of a Democratic state, I've never seen someone not appear with them in their county. You would think that if she's going to win the that district, it wouldn't hurt you to appear. You know, Hochul has been trying to fool a lot of people all the time, and she claims to be a moderate and. Every time I read a reporter or a commentator saying she's a moderate, I want to pull my hair out. She is not a moderate.
She is she is the big sister to Mondani, the the most poisonous, spendthrift public official in the history of New York City. And yet, Kathy Hochul is campaigning with him, counting on his socialist brigade to come out for her. If she wins, it will be because of Mondani. And Bruce Blitman says, if she loses, it will be because of Mondani.
So a lot of Writing on how people, not just in the five boroughs, but all around the state, how do they view Mondani? And he's not very popular outside New York City and some of the other larger population centers. But if enough people who don't like him and don't want to see his type running Albany, then that's Blatman's. Best shot. I understand.
So I want to bring it to somebody else you're familiar with, and that's Barack Obama. I'm amazed he's out there still ridiculing Trump as if he hasn't won twice and got more votes than anyone else in the election he lost. He's still out there going, "This is crazy. This guy's nuts." Listen to what he's trying to say now while sharing values with Abdul El Sayed. Cut twenty.
Abdul shares my values of wanting everybody to get healthcare. Who shares my values that if you work hard every day, you should have a living wage, and you should be able, if you're a young person starting a family, to be able to buy a house that you can afford, and that you shouldn't have to pay six bucks. Every time you fill up the tank of gas to get to work, we share those values. Right, fascinating. You know, in a high school gym, you got people cheering, rolling up his sleeves.
Good on the stump. Same stuff. I mean, this is a guy who also goes to ridicule Donald Trump's foreign policy. Really, the guy that gave us Libya, killed Gaddafi, and then have no plan. The guy that gave us ISIS when he pulled out our troops without checking with our officials, even though Joe Biden, I guess, did his homework and recommended we do it.
Little we know with the worst. Was yet to come with him, and then he let Syria be over. Let Russia come in and save Assad as he barrel-bombed innocent people, and let alone as he watched a surge in Afghanistan, the so-called "good war" that he was pulling people out before he was deploying everybody in. He was a disastrous foreign policy guy, and now he says how great the JCPOA is. Michael, we're too smart to think that the JCPOA was working.
Yeah, and Brian, I also. Also think that Barack Obama's magic is overstated. He has been stumping for every Democrat in the Trump era, right for Biden, for Hillary Clinton before that, but but also for Kamala Harris last year. I mean, I remember him. I'm sure you do.
At the Democratic convention, he spoke. Michelle Obama spoke. Hillary Clinton spoke. They all basically favored. Remember Obama.
Tried to ridicule Trump's penis size on his speech. I mean, he has sunk to the bottom, and yet, and yet, people still think there's some magic attached to him. I don't. I think he left office in in disregard because he had. To deliver the kind of hope and change he had talked about, and I think his time is fast.
I don't think he'll have much of an impact in this race. I know, but tell him that he still thinks he's the only guy that can deliver against Trump. Yeah, if you don't mind, yeah, I guess I will do the work for you. Lastly, Alyssa Slack, man, I'm up against real quick. Alyssa Slackin came out, and and Alyssa Slackin came out and said anyone who joins Trump team is should should not do it because you're going to get sued.
Jason Crow tried to defend her on Face the Nation, cut twenty two.
Well, I didn't hear the full conversation, and and I can tell you, I'm I'm very close friends with Alyssa Slackin. She's a patriot, so I think. the The key here is is we don't want people to want to go to work for a corrupt administration to try to line their pockets. Like that is not servant leadership. If the message is being sent from Donald Trump is hey.
Come to work for me, and you'll get a lot out of it, and you'll get rich doing it. That's actually not public servants. That that that is the that is antithetical to what Alyssa and I serve. That is not what he said. He didn't say come work for me and get rich.
You think Trump said that? No, they put words in his mouth as though he said them.
Now there are some issues around that topic, granted, but Donald Trump is not hiring people. On the basis of a promise that you know you you you get insider deals. That's not that's not accurate or true. It's another false claim. I mean, Sluken, right?
He's the one who wants to prosecute young people so they don't work for Republicans. Michael Goodwin, we'll go forward to your next column. Thanks so much. My pleasure. Appreciate it, Michael Goodwin, the New York Post.

And I'm in a lot of states. Go to my website. I'm in a lot of places. But I'm not missing work, so I'm not. I got to do it on weekends.
I just go to BrianKillme.com and click on autograph, and it goes to my local Barnes and Nobles here in New York, and I can send it out. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Hanukkah, whatever it is, Happy Birthday. I'm able to personalize it that way. It's really worked out good. They do a great job over in West Islip there.
So hopefully you can see you.
Meanwhile, we come back and do a simulcast with the great Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino, so you can watch and see what I look like. Finally, if you're not watching on the stream, and of course, get our YouTube. You type to youtube. dot com slash at the Brian Kilmeade show is the hottest channel in America. You think our country's hot?
My channel is really hot. Breaking news, unique opinions. Hear it all on the Brian Kilmeade Show. Hey, we're back. I'm going to do a simulcast on America's Newsroom right now.
They're in the middle of a debate on El Saeed and what's happening in Michigan. They say it's too close to call. I think Mike Rogers got 22 of the black vote. I think the last time out he got 14 of the black vote. That could be a huge difference.
El Saeed is panicking. He's doing interviews with African American podcasters. Just went out with Al Sharpton. Shows me there's a weakness in the poll and the underbelly of it. Also, the whole Muslim Brotherhood thing is so real it's.
I mean, the fact is, he wrote a column with the Huffington Post that he was not let Brit. He would not literally not let Brett Bear Brett Bear read from it when they were face to face. He says, "You doing Mike Rogers' work?" No, it's called opposition research. You give people a chance to answer questions that people have against them. He does not want to answer those questions.
Says, "I want to worry about prices when he's got no plan to lower prices." Terrible, cocky candidate. My feeling is too. You have a real chance to get rid of him because. He's not going to run against Slocum, and if Rodgers wins, he's got six years. This guy doesn't have six years to wait around do nothing.
So maybe he'll run for Congress. I don't know, but he can't run for governor because he'll have four years to wait in doing that. He's got to do something relevant.
So my feeling is it'll go away, and the Democratic Party will sober up and realize that it's going to ruin them. But we're going to be focusing on America's newsroom, kind of in an interesting angle that AOC is trying to moderate her image in order to be more palatable nationwide. I just don't see it. She faces skepticism on a possible twain twain run, but this whole Wall Street Journal story today that, and the headline I think is deceiving. As she says, this article goes on forever.
As AOC's ambition grows, her tactics soften, risking support for the left. Really, what what was tactically soft about going for three days with El Saeed, campaigning with Troy Jackson, spending her time getting Chevalier and Mumdami elected New York City, two radical leftists, and then re-upping her membership to the DSA? Yeah, she's not as crazy as crazy as some of the other squad members, but that's a pretty low bar to clear.
So I just, I'm I'm astounded by how people try to sell things that aren't for sale. She is a radical. With crazy is also on top of AOC, and it just gets me angry when she came out and said, "Oh, woke one was so crazy." Well, of course it was crazy. But when we brought up that it was crazy, it looked like people were being intolerant, not understanding that America was not this perfect nation. And how dare we not come to grips with the people throwing our statues into oceans?
So when you did that, now we say woke one was so crazy with the political correctness. The world's going to end in ten years, which is not going to. That's two more years for her. Remember, she got in at twenty nine, and she's now thirty seven. She thought the world was going to end unless we did dramatic things with the green energy.
We're not doing it. The whole thing's the whole thing's a hoax. Be responsible for the environment. Burn clean when you can. Use renewables when possible.
Engineer, come up with a better engine that burns clean. It's great, but not going. Force it down by throw through subsidies. That's what jihadists do for the good of man. Almost destroyed the entire economy.
When you talk about inflation, well, it was coming out of the pandemic, true, but nobody said pass the rescue act. In fact, Larry Summers' command says going to put inflation through the roof, and it did. And nobody said the Inflation Reduction Act because it did nothing but increase it.
So yeah, that and the infrastructure bill, that is a mammoth trillion dollar spending programs. That's what happened. That caused this. Yeah, the. Pandemic that forced everyone home.
It forced Congress to actually put more into the economy than even Trump wanted to when he was president the first time.
So we're going to go on, and we're going to do a we're going to do a thing with with American newsroom. We're going to talk about that, but I also want to talk about what's happening in Iran. I think the president is really thinking about going back in right after November third and finishing it off. This is what I hope. I want a bunch of different military plans and executions.
I want the president to push on this plan to make it effective. Understand that they're going to bomb our bases and go for the pipelines. They're going to try to rock it up. Not not. Ever seriously do damage to our military, but they want to do damage to the world economy, and they want the world to blame us.
The one thing that's happened: China cannot get any oil, and they can't get any oil out. And we're even stopping the ghost ships, so they're getting absolutely nothing. And what we're finding is that Russia has been aiding them a lot. We've been telling them not to, but they still have.
Now, could one of the Steve Woodcock deals say behind closed doors with Jared Kushner? This is the proof that we have Russia that you're helping, Iran. We have lost 18 guys. You're responsible.
Now you're losing 32,000 a month. 18 would be like an afternoon for you, but we're not like you. We care about our people.
So that's going to be something that has to be addressed. Maybe that is. Maybe that's part of the diesel deal. And you're not really good to say that out loud for any reason, for obvious reasons. But I think more importantly, the president's got to go through those Gulf states.
He's got to get him the interceptors they need, even if it's going from South Korea, getting them from Europe, and getting the Patriots and get them ready to repel any type of rocket attacks. Get Iran to empty their arsenal big time. You empty their arsenal, and then you you and then you leave them more susceptible. Also, notice where their missiles are buried, where they're constructed. And that—that's what I want to see happen.
But want the president to push on a military plan, whether it's the Secretary of War or with his Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff or anybody else. Here is Trump on the big decision he has to make. Cut thirty-nine. You saw that that said that they are in the advanced stages of attacks on the. What is the other?
What what is your other?
Well, I have others, but I'm not going to say right now. But we have. Are they? We have very advanced sets of intelligence on Iran, and we're doing very well with Iran, as you know. But we have very advanced sets of.
Intelligence on Iran: Some has been declassified, and some hasn't. And I can't tell you what the unclassified. And what he's talking about is Iran. They say is in the final stages of attacking American assets. What could it be?
Could be something here at home. You saw about the B one bombers looking to bomb. We're so concerned about that that we moved them out.
So valuable, okay? It's very bad that the UK can't secure their own bases. By the way, pretty pathetic. Pretty pathetic.
So. The other thing is our embassies, so we knocked it down to a skeleton staff. Just about everywhere, bulked up security there, and then there's thought to be sleeper cells here, many of which came during the Biden years.
So, in many ways, they look for American assets overseas. They're going to look for sneak attacks and terrorist attacks because they know head to head, they're not going to be able to touch our ships. They're not going to be able to touch our guys. But if we're defending a Qatari base, a UAE base, they might be able to figure out where the barracks are, and that's going to be important. President knows that, and he says to himself, "Let me just finish these guys off." So now we we hear the IRGC is not getting paid, and that's big.
Here's General Jack Keen, cut forty three. There's no doubt about they. They certainly haven't given up on that, on that objective. One of the reasons we, we came back in 2026 in February of 28th is because we knew the Iranians after the 12-day war, after we rubbled their nuclear enterprise, they recommitted themselves to the same goals they had before that war began and before October 7th. And what is that?
To recover their nuclear program to. Accelerate the ballistic missile program because they recognized how, what a threat that was to the United States, our allies in the region. Returning to the determination that despite what just took place, nothing was going to change. I totally agree. They had the aspirations to do it.
Twenty twenty five was devastating to them, but they're going to continue to. They're going to continue to move forward, and the good news is Kira's here for a refill on my Starbucks coffee. Thanks, Kira. You're on camera. There you go.
She's wonderful, always here to help me out. And we're about to go on a simulcast with America's Newsroom, so it's going to be great. And then we'll have a chance to talk a little bit about the book "United in the States: The Six Crucial Moments That Fours the American Miracle" and all these fantastic races. That are going to be taking place. I'm keeping my eye on what's happening in Iran.
One of the things that people are so fixated on the midterms. I am too, and obviously this up gas prices and affordability made it made it go to the Dems' direction a little bit. But they still would be saying that inflation was still high. That still they would still find a way to say that, and it was still going to be tough every step of the way. It would have been a little bit easier.
But the one thing they would say is, "Why is Iran continuing to enrich uranium? Why are they buried a nuclear program, but we never touch pickaxe?" That would have been an issue.
So the president is going to look at this. I think he wants to push these guys for their plans, and I'm just going to give NATO one more chance. They got certain assets.
Now they don't want to be targeted by Iran, right? But they have certain assets and things they can do. They want their gas prices to go down. It's not going to happen unless the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea settle down and they stop bombing Saudi pipelines.
So it will be in their interest to aid us with intelligence and other things. But I am convinced if you look at Iran, and they look at Israel, and they look at the U.S. If we did not stop our strikes, twenty percent shy of finishing off the deal, got to the ten yard line, and we stopped. And I think it was because of that massive rescue, that incredible rescue, that took place to save our pilot, two pilots. President said, "Okay, let's just in just moments." AOC is drawing crowds.
Let's listen to the campaign for progressive Democrats ahead of the midterms. But as she considers a possible 2028 presidential run, there are many questions remaining about whether her progressive politics can appeal beyond the Democratic base. All right, there's Brian Kilmeade, co-host of Fox and Friends, host of the Brian Kilmeade Radio Show, and he's author of the brand new book, "Uniting the States." Great to have you here, Brian. I want to just play for you a little bit of President Trump talking about. AOC.
Watch here. I always say AOC plus three, but somehow I don't mind AOC that much. I don't know why she doesn't bug me too much. But they call them AOC plus three. The plus three love being called plus three, you know.
But they're just bad.
Something wrong with them.
Well, what's wrong with them is they want to overthrow our country. AOC, she's very popular in some places. She's very infamous in others. And President Trump says she doesn't bother me that much. Do you think she'll be a contender in twenty twenty eight?
I don't think long term, absolutely not. And the thing is, I just looked at the Wall Street Journal article. They bent over backwards to try to make her mainstream. She's just not. You don't become mainstream by helping Chevalier unseat an established Democrat.
That's not something you do if you want to establish the base behind you. And Chevalier is the one who does, among radical things, protested against Israel on October eighth. Says she wants to wipe her brow with the American flag. Just horrific things that she has said makes Mom Dami seem. Moderate, you don't support Mondamy and go to bat for him everywhere you go.
You don't find some free time and spend four days with El Sayed, a radical leftist, and Haley Stevens, who competed against him in Michigan. You would assume wants him to win would not even say anything except for "I guess I'm on his team." She goes out of her way for radical candidates. I know we want to say because she has charisma and presence that she's moderate. That Nancy Pelosi says she likes her now, which she didn't like her in the beginning. But she, at her core, is All squad all the way, and guys, I'll bring you to another element of it.
She went out of her way to re up her membership in the DSA. Please, can we stop pretending that she's not an extremist just because she has a wonderful presentation? She's a she's a congresswoman from Queens. At twenty nine, she got elected. At thirty seven, she has not changed.
Oh, she chose a district where she could win. And I thought was interesting about the journal's piece is that we forget this, Brian. She went to Washington, Nancy Pelosi's speaker, and she held a sit-in outside her office. Inside. To yeah, inside to force more climate change.
I just think we've come a long way from that. I think that's the the point the piece is making.
Meanwhile, in Michigan, how do you define socialism? We went out to find out. Here's what we discovered.
Socialism to me is a concept in politics where everybody gets a little bit of everything. Everybody benefits. I think that if it were more widely known, people would support it less. Honestly, I feel like many people don't really understand. I feel the full.
Grasp or scope of what socialism really means. I think they kind of have a more idealistic image of it. There, yeah, that's that's in Ann Arbor now. The middle students said if the definition was more widely known, people would support it less. That's what he said.
Now you are on the radio all the time. What do people say about this? I mean, people call up and they and they think socialism is like taking care of people. They think is it nice to take care of people that need help. They don't understand the full concept.
You know what?
Some of those other students said. You know, when I'm in class, this is what they say. That's what bothers me. I know two or three people that go to Michigan. They change.
They come out extreme leftists. That school, if for non-state people, costs about seventy thousand dollars. It's not worth a dollar, believe me. Unless you want your kid brainwashed, they're not giving both sides of the aisle. I love a professor to go to bat for socialism, but make sure one goes to bat for capitalism too.
Can we at least balance it out? That's not what they're getting from political classes. Those are not the demonstrations. I mean, those are the ones that have crying rooms when Trump wins elections or gets close to winning elections.
So the Michigan people, that is emblematic of people that like to twist you in college. In and for those people that don't have strong values and understanding of politics, you're really screwed. Your kid's going to come back really screwed up, and it's going to make you broke. And you got to get the parent loan and the student loan to pay for that. And Brian, a last question to you because you want people to understand history so that they can love America.
You've written another book, also bringing back history to people's minds. It's called "Uniting the States." What do people need to know? Where can they get it? I just want people to understand how special this country is, and I'm not selling; I'm telling. I just wanted to give you six stories that really helped us make the country we are today, and how fortuitous things broke our way, how hard people worked to make this country what it is today, and how close we came to not being country at all, and.
The other thing you walk away with: smart people back then were disagreeing just as hard as they're disagreeing today. The main difference is they felt they had to come to a solution at the end of their disagreements, and it didn't mean there wasn't some bitterness. We just got to go that extra mile and say, instead of waiting for the next election, we're going to have to compromise a little to get to a solution, and also get the sense because you're winning election, it can't be I won and you lost. I won. What do you?
How can I get you aboard with my agenda, with the majority of American people want? But I don't need you to be in in the wilderness for my two or four years. That's where we got to get.
So the six crucial moments towards the American miracle, and just walking around talking to people. We got a great special on Fox Nation that brings the whole thing to life that I shot over the last last year.
Okay, your events are great. Thank you so much, Brian. A shout out, thanks for the special copy, autograph copy. Thank you, sir. All right, I appreciate the message.
I don't know if Dana got the same. Hi. But if you wrote the same thing for her that you did for me, then you're in trouble.
Well, no way. Thanks, Brian. Great to see you. Congratulations. All right, guys.
Thank you very much. In a moment.
So it's great to be on with them talking about the book, and you can get it BrianKillme.com. If you want to get it signed and personalized anywhere you want. Happy birthday, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Halloween, Happy Thanksgiving, whatever. Happy graduation! Whatever comes up, I'm able to personalize it.
When it comes to, no matter where you live in this country, but we'll be right back. Keeping you informed, engaged, and always a step ahead. It's the Brian Kilmeade Show. The fastest three hours in radio. You're with Brian Kilmeade.
The Trump administration is going after Congresswoman Omar. Three weeks before an election, she's on the ballot. In federal agents searched her home. They're clearly targeting her for political reasons. The pattern of weaponizing the justice system against political opponents should worry every Minnesotan and every American.
That's what Trump's war on Minnesota looks like. Stand up to him and cast a vote before he continues down this path.
Now she is doing this. She is now not really pushing back directly. She made one interview and it was disastrous. It made actually the the interview look even worse than her.
Now it's not her name. The way she came here, she changed her date to get citizenship, and she cannot prove that it's not her brother that she married. Who basically I hear is gay.
So now it looks like her name is similar to her dad's, and her dad's is similar to the person that she married first. No one ever asked. Hey, by the way, how did you fall in love with your first husband? How did you guys meet? Was it arranged marriage?
How'd it go? Where'd you go? And then she decides today to ask her son Piker to campaign with her, which is panicking everyone in Minnesota that wants to be somewhat reasonable, that wants to fight off people like Michelle Tefuya. From high atop Fox News headquarters in New York City, always seeking solutions, never sowing division. It's Brian Kilmeade.
Thanks so much, everybody, to the Brian Kilmeade Show. I come to her from Midtown Manhattan, heard around the country, around the world. It's exciting election coming up to midterms. I just had a chance to talk to everyone. Between lucky enough to go to Sean Hannity and Ainsley's wedding on Friday with the cabinet there and all the most important people in the country, and then Saturday to see all the people again and talk to so many.
You know, it's one of those times where there's really no small talk. When your small talk is like world affairs, domestic the the domestic economy, it's really incredible.
So. I think, and then have a chance to do a book signing in Palm Beach. Talk to I sold about 150 there, and then 300 and 300, 350 to 400 books, and signed about another 500 over in Vero Beach. But I talked to everybody. I don't just taking a picture.
I talked to everyone. They're really concerned about the midterms. They're concerned about different things in the country. Concerned about the midterms, and what happens next.
So I really get a pulse of the people and what's next. Nobody knows for sure. The only thing I was going to say this is, please don't think this whole thing has died and cast died in the well. It's done. It's not done.
And the only thing I ask is that you vote, and I don't care where you vote. I'm not don't notice. I'm not telling you who to vote for. I'm just saying to vote because if you just think well, it's not worth it. And that means that means ten more people think it's not worth it.
If you say I am I am down about the prospects of my candidate winning, but I'm going to show up, that means those ten people feel the same way like you do because it's the ambivalent, the six out of ten so called MAGA people are showing up. If it goes eight out of ten, every single district changes, and maybe the house doesn't. I mean, I can't believe it. But you have the Democrats who already saying already saying. That they won the house, so let's get to the big three.
Number three, I have a decision to make. Do I finish it off, which would be very easy to do, or do I make a deal? That's the decision. It is, and I think he's really up in the air right now. But, Mr.
President, when my thing to you is make sure you're comfortable with the plan. You've already gotten street smart with your seven years in office, eight years in office, okay, about basically six and a half. Make sure this plan is one you sign off on. Number two, I think the two that should concern are the most right now are the allegations of using a fake name and also the allegations of being naturalized under a fraudulent date of birth. Those are crimes within the statute limitations.
That is Jonathan Fehi, Ilan Omar. Personal and political story has fallen apart, so she calls on Hassan Piker to save the day. And fellow Minnesotans are beginning to panic and saying his presence is going to hurt them in a state where the governor's race is up in the air, as well as the Senate race is up in the air, and Piker could destroy them. Number one, there is a narrow path for Republicans to still hold on to the House. Democrats could.
Go a little bit higher. That does not describe a giant blue wave. That would be a fairly historically narrow house majority. No question. That is Anthony Salvanto of CBS.
He's the director of elections and surveys. Big guns hit big impact states as midterms are now eight days away. Just don't believe the polls, as I mentioned.
So I'm looking at game plans for victory. And one of the presidents. One of the things for the Republicans. One of the things for the Republicans, by the way, would be where Trump is going. Trump has got to go to the red states to maximize MAGA turnout to try to buck history, and the fact that gas prices are high, and the Iran war is not popular.
The president's made a decision. I'm not going to talk about it every day. I'm not going to sell it every day. I'm going to tell you about it. Then I'm going to move on and talk about what he's trying to do because he laid the groundwork for an extremely successful, respectful economy, and that's why in ten minutes, fifth, in twenty minutes, Scott Bessett, the Treasury Secretary, will join us live.
How great is that?
Now let's bring in Rear Admiral Mark Montgomery, Senior Director of the Center on Cyber and Technology Innovation for the Freedom of Defense of Democracies. Admiral, always great to have you on. You're on Zoom. Welcome back. Oh, actually, it's on phone.
Normally, you're on Zoom. Hey, thank you very much for having me. Yeah, sorry I had to join this way. Just finishing international travel. No problem.
But Admiral, I just played a cut from the president saying I got a big decision to make about what's next. First off, what do you think he should do? And if he does act, what do you think has to be in place for you feel confident that'll ultimately bring down this regime?
So, look. First of all, I want to say, and I'm glad you have Secretary Besant on. The economic strangulation campaign executed over the last two months has been decisive, right? It is impacting the Iranian economy. We are the U.S.
Navy is stopping Iranian fuel exports, and yes, they still had some fuel that they're offloading to Tipton refineries, but even that's gone.
So no money's coming in. It's reinforced by Secretary Besant's work.
So first of all, the patience and discipline—not two words you would normally associate with President Trump—over the last two months have been have been effective. What the problem is, it doesn't tell you the end result. And eventually, the IRGC is going to going to have to strike out.
So what I really think we should be doing is preparing for how we respond to that. I think our goal should be to continue. To do the strangulation, preserve the route for Arab oil to get out through the through the southern Omani transit lane, and then when the IRGCs had too much of it, we'll know they're really under pressure when they lash out, and when they lash out, we need to be ready to to respond. And then the president's choice then is: do I do it proportionately or disproportionately? And I think he's planning.
You know, the military will bring him plans for either one of those. I hope he does, and we got to protect the Gulf states too. Are you convinced we have enough interceptors and the right ones to be able to withstand a missile attack, consistent missile attack from the Iranians? That's you know this is the sixty four thousand dollars question, and I'll break it up into two things. the the the forty day war ended for for in my mind because we could no longer defend our own military bases or the critical infrastructure of our Arab partners.
We've taken care of the first part. We have repositioned ourselves, given ourselves strategic depth, you know, with bases in Jordan, in Israel, in Western Saudi Arabia, and not sixty miles away or ninety miles away from the enemy, and Bahrain, Qatar, and Kuwait. Unfortunately, you can't physically move the geography of Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Eastern Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates. They still are too close to the adversary.
So then you have to ask yourself: Can we defeat these with a mix? We can shoot down the ballistic missiles with Patriot. That I think that worked. But you're right; the drones got through. And there's three ways to stop a drone: jamming, airborne counter-interceptors, you know, from F sixteen s, F eighteen s, and such, and then ground based interceptors.
And really, in this short a cycle, you need the ground-based interceptors when it's only coming sixty or ninety miles. You need ground-based interceptors, and I don't think they have enough. I think they will still get hit. I think UAE United Emirates will do better than the others. They have the additionally may have Iron Dome Israeli Iron Dome system still functioning there, as well as some interceptors.
But what I've seen in Ukraine, coming from Ukraine, is probably not enough. Capacity to truly protect all the critical infrastructure in the Gulf States.
Well, that's tough, and I know they're worried about that. And I'm just wondering if we really tap into the Ukrainian technology if they could help. I know they tried to help a little bit while ago. I think we were lukewarm on it. Is there something more aggressive we can do?
So I think the first thing is acknowledge that Eric Schmidt's companies. Which have tested their, you know, have cut their teeth in Ukraine, but are truly American companies. His system is, I think, being utilized by the U.S. military and a number of our of our of our Arab partners. The MIROPS system, and I think that will be helpful.
It's one of the most, it's probably the most expensive of these cheap drone sectors, but it's also the highest quality. It's one way attack drone, and it's it's more in the thirty to forty percent effective. Rate or even higher sometimes, so that'll be good. But you're right. You know, just getting more from Ukraine, getting that capacity up is going to be critical.
And then you have to cover so much. Look at look at how much the Saudis are struggling against the Houthis. There, it's a question of just you know how much infrastructure you have to defend. And they're in for everything, and the hope is you cut off the, you know, you cut off the brain, the neck, and the Houthis begin to wither. But it's not going to be immediate, and the Saudis will be targeted.
They are being targeted now. We'd like to help them there. The main thing, Admiral, I think the president, I am in awe of the military. Know that about it, but you know better than anybody. You spent your whole career doing it.
Tactics matter.
So maybe we didn't wear enough that Hormuz would be targeted, but it was.
Now we got a. We've adjusted as we always do, just like we did with the insurgency and the surge in Iraq was brilliant. We not we wouldn't have thought to do that. We'd even armor our Humvees, but man, there by the end of it, we we had the vehicles in there to totally protect our guys and women.
So I'm hoping that we're ready for anything here. And also, the twenty percent of the targets we didn't hit last time. Do you? Think we've been observing how they're reconstituting? Have we been seeing and going to school on how they're trying to fix the things that we blew up?
You know, that's a you've brought up a great point, which is that we're a tough country to fight air power-wise. We're pretty we're pretty powerful. If you give us more time to look at your things, to to see how you adjusted, to see what we missed. We're going to be even more effective the second time.
So yes, you're absolutely right. Which is why I believe that when the president responds, let's let's say the IRGC lashes out, I would go disproportionate. I would strike everything I could hard. I would try to knock down those last reservoirs of drone stowage and and drone launch points that they they have. I would hit all the IRGC's companies.
The IRGC owns about forty percent of the economy. I would put that on limits. I would say, listen, this is how the IRGC funds itself, keeps itself going. You're a legitimate military target, and then finally, I would take care of all the radars, the small radars that are popping up along the Bandar Abbas area that are targeting the ships, and you got to kind of mow that lawn.
So that's a full, that's a disproportionate counterstrike, and I'd be ready to do it. And finally, Brian, you brought something up good. We should support the Saudis in striking the Houthis. When we and the Israelis did that last November and December, it really knocked the Houthis back, and I think that's what we're going to have to do again. Don't you think they know that, and that's why they approached us and said, "Look, our problems with the Saudis, not you." Don't you think that they knew that?
I'm pretty sure they don't want they don't want us or the Israelis back, but I think at this point, you know, we have to support the Saudis here. The Saudis have our Saudis and our Arab partners. Have bit their you know bit their lip and and supported us through this through a strike which they supported but didn't know the timing of and and so sometimes you know sometimes you have to support your partners when they're struggling and I think our support to the Saudis has been insufficient in the face of these Houthi attacks but we have a good opportunity to correct that if we go back with disproportionate strikes after being hit by the IRGC. Yeah, and when they ask for help, they're never going to forget who stepped up. We gave them two hundred people to work with, but they're also targeting our assets.
And we had American killed. Remember the CIA? I think it was in Saudi Arabia. The CIA office got built, got bombed directly, which shows you that somebody's giving the Iranians intelligence. Don't you think?
Well, I think the look. We're fighting an axis of aggressors, whether it's in Ukraine, Iran, North Korea. We're fighting the North Koreans, the Russians. The Chinese and the Iranians—they—they may not have a treaty alliance, you know—they're not NATO, but there's six very strong bilateral relationships that are supporting each other with timing and access and resources, and we have to start thinking that way. And so we can't let anyone off the hook on this.
And Russia and China are helping Iran, and Russia and China, North Korea, and Iran have significantly helped Russia against Ukraine.
So, do you think Russia is still helping the Iranians? I think parts of the Russian intelligence agencies would still keep helping them. They have no, you know. If you are asking me, do I think Vladimir Putin's duplicitous? Absolutely.
So that when you know people have said that maybe one of the reasons why they're getting diesel is that we know that you're, we know you're providing logistical information and intelligence to Iran. You knock that off, and we'll get we'll buy some of your diesel. That type thing. I'm I'm confident that our negotiators think that they have gotten Putin to stop doing things, and my my respect for our negotiators is pretty low. Same with me.
I appreciate their their sincerity, but I just would love to see a State Department person with them, a historian with them, someone who's been through it and used their negotiating skills, which has been demonstrated in the private sector, along with history of the region and the and the and the actors that we're dealing with. Don't you think that might be a good combination? And maybe even a good translator once in a while.
So you know, yeah, a hundred percent. I think that. That you know, I appreciate their service.
However, they're not the right team, and this is not a business problem. This is a this is a legitimate intelligence war fighting and diplomatic problem, and we really need to have those professionals there because eventually, Putin is going to have to make a deal with us, and we want to make sure it's the right deal.
So, do you believe we need the IDF if we're going to do this? I think if we're going to do disproportionate strikes against Iran, if we're going to help the Saudis against the Houthis, look, the idea of one of the Houthi responses will eventually be striking out against Israel.
So we might as well get the Israelis in there from the get go. What about their intelligence? Is as great as it seems? It's different than ours, right?
So our intelligence is based largely on on signals and overhead issues. Theirs is a mix, a much greater mix of human intelligence.
So sometimes it's preferable, sometimes it's wrong. But but in general, I think it's a value. It's a great value added to us in figuring out who to hit and when to hit them.
So it looks like the president had a long conversation, an impactful conversation with Netanyahu on Saturday. I imagine this was it because we have intelligence saying the Iranians are poised to hit us in our assets.
So they're not going to go for our warships in the Gulf, most likely, but they're going to go for our embassies. They're going to go for any sleeper cells here. What's your major concern when you read intelligence that's now public that says Iranians are about ready to act?
So, you know, and they have, you know, between the Iranians and the Houthis, they have shot about eight hundred missiles or drones at our ships. They just haven't hit.
So, I think that they'll find another target. I think my biggest concern is going to be U.S. companies. You know, it's going to be the the industry in in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states. It's broadly, it's it's most likely to be unprotected.
You know, do I think that desalinization plants will be protected? Probably. But the you know the oil fields, the gas fields.
So, and to some degree, you have American workers out there. You have American ownership of some things. I think that there's that's that's at risk. And we were smart to empty out. You know, our embassy should have been at absolute minimum personnel, probably starting in February.
I know, but what about those those clowns that were in the UK? People think the quality of their so-called terrorists have dropped. Is my right? Do you think the same thing?
So what I tell you is, is that you know I would worry when they're talking now about having teams, you know, teams out looking for Americans in Europe or in the United States. I'd worry about it because you don't have to be. I mean, attacking a base where we're keeping bombers was probably going at the most watched and protected area in the UK, and they got caught. You're right, but but you know if they try to just do Create chaos in a downtown environment in the UK. They can probably get away with it.
Admiral, so many moving parts. You're going from country to country. Thanks so much for your time. We really appreciate it. Thank you, sir.
Admiral Montgomery, back in a moment. Learning something new every day on the Brian Kilmeade Show. The talk show that's getting you talking. You're with Brian Kilmeade. Guy is building a ballroom that is bigger than the White House.
Put a helicopter pad on the sidewalk, and then there is just gold everywhere. What's what's up with the gold? I mean, he's got the White House looking like Saddam Hussein opened a cheesecake factory.
Okay, we were good in 2017 when you liked to mock him. Hey, how about the White House Correspondence Dinner? How'd that work out? How about when you were on Jimmy Kimmel and said, "Hey, even though you say I'm the worst president, at least I was president." How'd that work out? Been president twice.
The one he lost more more votes than any Republican in history. How's that working out? He's through two years of a four year term. You can mock all you want. All he's doing is get stuff done and fixing a lot of problems that you left.
And Obamacare sucks, and it's your hallmark piece of legislation—a poison the well for your entire term and the second term. You tried to make it, figure it out, and try to work it out with subsidies. And then when people cut off your subsidies, you say you're trying to choke people out of Obamacare. It's because people don't want to pay for anything. It's bad.
It's the math doesn't work, and nobody wants to take Obamacare. And you also ruined Medicare in the process. He's so busy he'll make your head spin. It's Brian. Probably one of the most effective cabinet members that I can remember in the last 25 years has been the Secretary of Treasury.
He's just doing a phenomenal job in difficult times. Right, we're coming out of inflation for the first time in like 20 years. He's got to get the inflation down. At the same time, we also have multiple challenges. Whether it's trying to fix what's happened in Venezuela, to getting our drilling back online.
To getting oil and gas production to reach its zenith, while trying to tamp out the threat of Iran, whether it's twenty twenty five and midnight hammer, and now we're looking at a total strangulation of their economy, thanks to what Scott Besson is doing. Trying to find a way, they're they're they're rounding up money. And stop it, and stop them from delivering oil and gas to anybody through regular ships or ghost ships. That is some of the things on the plate of Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who's been a great friend of the radio show, one of the best for for a few years before he even got the job. Mr.
Secretary, welcome back. Brian, good to see you. It was great seeing you over the weekend at one of the most spectacular events I'll ever go to at Mar a Lago. I don't know. I know you go to a lot of stuff like this on a daily basis, but for me, I've never seen anything quite like that.
What was it like for you? No, it was great seeing so many friends in such a great venue. And I wish Shannon Ainsley the best. Yeah, it was just so interesting. Where the president said, "Not about me.
It's about them." I'm here just to support, and it's amazing. And also, you had a full day, and so did you have a full day. And I'm just a witness to everyone out there. Scott Bessent is not aging because he was here before we had this responsibility of the country on his shoulders. He's now moving forward.
I know the president United States has got a big decision to make, and it's when before or right after the election he's going to decide where we're going with Iran. And I know a lot of military people who think you what you're doing now. Is enough in shutting off their oil production and shutting off their financing? Can you give everyone, without giving away secrets, what you've been focusing on when it comes to Iran? Sure, Brian.
Look, I think the President Trump has created a lot of leverage for himself and for the U.S. military. Should he choose to use it, we had six weeks of kinetic activity. Bombing. Iran has no air force.
They have no navy. We took out a large portion of their missiles and drones, and more importantly, we've destroyed eighty-five or ninety percent of their drone and missile factories.
So their ability to regenerate is hit. Then he offered. Then President Trump ordered a blockade put up. Nothing has come in or gone out. And then we've added onto that operation.
Economic outcast, which Treasury is running. The last Wednesday was marked eight weeks, and it is the greatest economic isolation endeavor on a single country in history. And we are severing all all of their ties. That many countries were not. Falling U.S.
sanctions, and we added many new authorities, including shutting down their airline travel, which I think has had a real effect, especially on the elites and the regime, and we we can see it. The estimate for their GDP is going to be down twenty, twenty-five percent, which is the more than when the Soviet Union collapsed.
So it's economic freefall. They're going to have a heating oil problem this summer. If you could, I mean, this winter, if you could believe it, Iran, which has the third most energy resources, has to import gasoline, and they've got a gasoline crisis because of the blockade. And President Trump is giving himself lots of options here. Do you think?
How? In what way are you concerned with people trying to resupply them? Whether it's Pakistan, Qatar, Russia, or China, who's been the most? The the the most troubling to stop. It's we're we're seeing good cooperation with the Chinese.
It is a quieter discussion. We've seen cooperation there. Many many of the Gulf neighbors have. Shown much greater diligence, and part part of it is we took actions to show that people that we know who you are and you know who you are.
So we have shuttered three banks. One was the Dubai branch, five Dubai branches of the second largest Egyptian bank, and they had given the regime more than one point eight billion dollars. That is closed down. The thirtieth largest Turkish bank. Is now shut down, and then the overseas operations of the second largest Russian bank.
So we have taken out, and we made example of enough people. And if we need to, we will continue doing that. But we're we're getting good cooperation, and the regime is desperate. That's why they're lashing out the way they are.
So, with the intelligence that you can share, how was the effect in the day to day life of the Iranians, in the day to day life of their military? Separate from IRGC, how are they being affected at this hour?
Well, a lot of the military isn't being paid. Many of the police aren't coming to work, and what what we're seeing here is, like I said, inflation is through the roof. The average Iranian is getting hurt, and we we've seen in the summer. We saw the politicians who had the most interaction with the people warn what was coming.
Now we're seeing public statements from certain members of the IRGC who are very worried about the economic situation and the people taking to the streets. But Brian, part of the problem is several leading members of the IRGC are like rats in a sewer pipe; they are in hiding, and they they don't have direct access to what's going on. And then the surprise. Leader also is not seeing the day to day, but I can tell you this regime is worried about the people coming to the streets. And what President Trump wants is just for them to disavow their nuclear program, stop with their proxies, and the Iran should be the Iran should be a prosperous country.
But for forty-seven years, nineteen seventy-nine. The Iran and Turkey had the same size economy. The Iran, the Iranian per capita income is flat over fifty years. The Turkish economy is now four times bigger than Iran. Very true.
So I want to talk about you know a lot of people say tariffs have not been popular. Mike Rogers is not one of them. He disseminated about what's working for Michigan and what isn't. I want you to hear what he had to say. Cut fifteen.
The automobile part portion of these Canadian tariffs worries me a little bit, and we're going to go back and work through those issues to get some relief to make sure that it's good for Michigan, not bad for Michigan. There are other tariffs. We have the Chevrolet Silverado being built in. Mexico. By next year, they've announced it's coming back to Michigan.
Why? Because of those tariffs that are based on getting reshoring of manufacturing back in the United States. That's huge for us. It's a multi-billion-dollar investment right here in Michigan. So that is it.
When people say tariffs working, not working, would your goal is to bring manufacturing back here when possible? And but that's what's happening. But we while and to get that trade deal, which is really Lutnick and I had Jamieson Greer. I understand that. I'm sure you know what's going on.
But that's not you're not leading in that area. What would what is our goal with Canada? What would change once a deal is signed?
Well, look, I I think that Canada is one of a lot of the benefits. It was equivalent of being a state without by being a foreign country and. President made a very good offer to Canada. I think Prime Minister Carney played politics. He had the Alberta referendum, some other elections, out in British Columbia.
I think so. Maybe now he actually wants to care about the Canadian people. And look, the good thing about having a Republican represent. Any state is; they they can have a dialogue.
Well, anyone can have a dialogue with the administration, but the Republican senators and representatives make their opinions known, and we we take that into account.
So, you know, we'd be very willing to listen to any member of Congress or the Senate's the opinions, and you you can see the with Mexico, and we're very close on a trade deal with Mexico, Canada. I think that Prime Minister Carney needs to come to the table. Where we've also seen Toyota is moving a gigantic facility to. Texas, I think it's maybe going to be their biggest in the world.
So we are seeing a reshoring, and it's a combination. Brian, it's the president, it's it's tax policy, it's the full expensing for equipment and factories. It's as you mentioned, the trade and tariff policy. It's energy policy that where you mentioned earlier, we're an energy superpower, and other countries can't provide that, and then. Regulatory certainty that for every regulation that's gone in, we've taken out 120.
So we're making the U.S. the best place to do business.
So British Columbia, I don't know if you know that they called the snap election to beat the Conservatives, and the Conservatives won in British Columbia. Maybe it shows you that Carney is not as popular as he thinks he is as they go to war to go through an economic battle with America. Do you think you can read? Do you read the? Same thing, yeah.
Look, I am. I am not going to get involved in Canadian politics, but they're getting involved in ours. I think that he he got a short term pop in the polls. He came he came to office on an anti American, anti Trump agenda. He gended up again, but over the long term, it's a loser for the Canadian people.
Understood. I want you to hear what Abdul, just equal time, Abdul El Sayed, who wants to be the next senator, scary thought from Michigan, said about the economy. The last two years of Donald Trump's economy is on the ballot, and y'all, we're gonna vote in the next nine days like Donald Trump is on the ballot. We're gonna vote like the last two years are on the ballot. We're gonna vote like our gas prices are on the ballot, and our groceries are on the ballot, and seeing the doctors on the ballot.
Cause guess what, they are on the ballot.
So I guess you know what's on the ballot. What's your response?
Well, I can't comment because of the Hatch Act. I can't comment on individual candidates, but what I can comment on: we're happy to run in the economy. It's a we've got a million the private sector jobs. Core inflation is very low. That the real wages since President Trump started, despite the price.
The the price spike in energy, real wages are up one percent. They were down four and a half percent under President Biden. And you know, all I hear from the Democrats is a lot of hooting and hollering and fake southern accents, including from President Obama on. What's happening? They don't have any solutions.
They they did it. They they had mass and fettered migration, which pushed down working Americans' wages, pushed up rents. They'll do that again. They blew out the budget deficit, biggest deficits we've ever had. They'll do that again.
And I'll tell you, it was those deficits. MIT, not B, said that the deficits are what caused the greatest greatest inflation in a generation. Or two, they'll do it again.
So you're going to grow. It looks like projections are in in quarter three, three point five percent. Where's that growth coming from? And do you agree with those projections that we're reading? I just talked to my economics department here at Treasury this morning.
They told me that the the median estimate across all the prognosticators 3.2 to 3.5 percent. And Brian, this time last year, beginning of the year, I said 2025 was the year of setting the table.
Now we get to have the banquet and the feast, and I think this is sustainable. As I said, we're seeing a manufacturing boom despite the energy price shock. Consumers are still doing well, and we're we're seeing it across a broad range of industries. Miss Secretary, I know you have a lot on your plate. Tell me if this is out out of your realm of responsibility.
This andro. And these other companies who are mass producing weapons above and beyond or around the prime, is this going to save us money and make us effective as we have a nationwide shortage of interceptors and things to that nature? I'll leave most of that to the Secretary of War, but what I will tell you is that this is an innovation administration, and. No one innovates and competes like the U.S.
So I think to have more choices, especially from our startups, is fantastic. Like look, NASA. Has gotten better because they've had to compete with SpaceX and Blue Origin.
So I think the primes are going to have to kick it in gear because there are going to be so many upstarts. I think more competition is good. Great because I know Bill Clinton consolidated, thought it was going to be better for us, and it ends up being worse. Terrible, terrible, terrible. We we we have t here is a complete lack of knowledge on manufacturing and.
It is they've created these unresponsive monopolies. Six years, they say, Social Security is going to go bankrupt. Is there a Scott Besson plan to fix Social Security?
Well, look, we're looking all the time at what's going to happen. I am one of the trustees for the Social Security Trust Fund. For Brian's little inside baseball for you to think about. Every presidential candidate for the past however many cycles has been able to say this isn't my problem. Every candidate in the twenty twenty eight presidential cycle is going to have have to have a solution, and I hope that will get us there.
Do you think we need a blue ribbon commission to ever reduce the deficit?
Something like Simpson-Bowles, but that is somehow bound to legislation. Do we have to do that outside the political process because it's so unpopular to cut programs? Again, we had big, big cuts in the working working families tax cuts, so it can be done. It takes it takes majorities in both houses and. The president to be of that party, so it can be done.
And the important thing is to constrain spending and to bolster growth. And lastly, if the president says to you, Scott, do I need to do I need to finish the job militarily, or can you finish Iran economically? What would you tell him? I'm going to tell him, sir. We're we're doing our part here at Treasury.
I think that the Iranians are panicked. I think that the economy is collapsing, and that the, sir. You have a lot of options, and I am sure that you will make the best one. It's very hard to find someone who does not think this Treasury Secretary is as good as we've ever had, Mr. Secretary.
Thanks so much. Always appreciate your time, Scott Besson. Brian, great to see you, Brian. Always, and Scott was always kind enough to do our show before he was Treasury Secretary, and just so great to see him doing so well now. Back in a moment.
