Meanwhile, it's time for the fastest, most impactful monologue in America. The theme this week, the big blue breakup. It's over, buddy. Done. Finished.
So long. Goodbye. Adios. Sayonara. It actually started almost a year ago.
Joe Biden's horrific debate performance, stumbling, mumbling, his way into oblivion. Trump knocked on Joe, and nobody was home. Clearly, he was finished as a legit candidate. The problem was, Joe wouldn't go. Oh, we got one more fight.
No, no. Not we, you. Why are you doing this? I said, why are you doing this? Because you can't win, Rock.
Yes, Joe, you can't win. Regardless, the script said there should have been an open primary without Joe. But in reality, Vice President Kamala Harris took the ball and essentially scored in her own goal. Wrong goal. The left-wingers criticizing her, asking how could you kick Joe to the curb.
They were mad that she ran to begin with. Others questioned why Biden ever decided to run in the first place, especially again. This results. in the party fracturing. In terms of breakups, the worst was still to come.
I think it's time for us.
Now Pooh Bear. Yes. I think we should break up. What? We know what happens next.
Trump won. And the finger-pointing began. Revelations emerged about the Dems, and Joe was not doing the job at all, not showing up for work, not all there. He couldn't run the country at all. He couldn't run his White House.
He couldn't run the Oval. The attack, stunningly, coming from the left. Let's not give the Democrats too much credit. They forced him out because they thought they were going to lose the election, not because they had serious issues about whether or not he could be President, which they should have. And in fact, there's only one House Democrat that says the honest thing, which is not only should he not be our nominee, he shouldn't be President right now.
J. D. Vance says the same thing. It's really honestly hard to argue. How can you say he's too adult to be Our nominee, but he still can be president.
Yeah, and that's where I thought the fracture of the Democratic Party would end and the rebuild would begin. But the past few weeks have showed me otherwise. The least talented press secretary in American history caught us all by surprise when she claimed the party is not worthy of her. In an era of misinformation, disinformation, the regressiveness of social policy, what we're seeing currently right now, what I have decided to do, and I really have thought long and hard about this, is to follow my own compass. Yes, that compass.
I can't wait for an opportunity not to buy her book whenever it comes out. But I will give it to her. Her subtitle really helped me with this monologue. It's called A Look Inside a Broken White House. I changed it a little.
I say A Look Inside the Democratic Party, which, by the way, is broken. They can't agree, for example, on immigration. It's really, it's a shame, and it's disgusting. You know, the bottom line is Americans want a secure border. And Democrats just ought to say we made a mistake.
I'm so sorry we made a stake. We're going to support. Securing our borders. And to Joe Manchin's credit, he did try to secure the border, tried to tell Joe Biden to secure the border, and Biden kept telling him it was fine.
Meanwhile, a CBS poll found that 54% of voters agreed with Trump's deportation program, let alone his border shutdown. The party, though, can't seem to find a common path forward at all on issues. You guys have run this car straight into a wall. Sit down. Shut up and actually, you have a moment to learn something and stop telling people how to live their lives because you don't know squat.
Why do Democrats have a problem? Because we're punks. And we talk like, not only talk like punks, we talk down to people, we get caught up in a set of issues that aren't relevant. Think about all this about transgender and sports, et cetera. Education, we have the worst reading scores.
and mass scores in thirty years? And we're arguing about bathrooms and locker rooms and not the classroom. I couldn't have said it better. And Rahm Emmanuel, by the way, wants to run for president. The left can't even get on the same page about violence in their own democratic-run cities.
I unapologetically pro free speech, immigration, and peaceful protesting. But that was not it. That's chaos, and it's unacceptable. And I think it's entirely appropriate to condemn that kinds of things. And he gets it, and the Democrats condemn him.
And when Gavin Newsom finally had a chance to, I don't know, appeal to the whole country when chaos broke out in his city, one of his cities in California, the moderate man was not so moderate. He's just a moderate podcaster, but when it comes to being governor, he's a left-winger. Proof and pudding. This brazen abuse of power by a sitting president inflamed a combustible situation. putting our people Our officers, and even our National Guard at risk.
California may be first, but it clearly will not end here. Other states are next. Democracy. is next. Democracy is under assault before our eyes.
Well, I saw an assault and I didn't think it was coming for democracy. I thought they were just coming for innocent people. They're going to blame Trump. Yeah, Trump is to blame for illegal immigrants in California, go figure. This is a mess.
So let's do a blue review. The party celebrities, Barack Obama and George Cooney, are not speaking to Joe Biden. Joe Biden has no interest in speaking to Nancy Pelosi. Nobody wants to hear anything from Chuck Schumer, Maxine Waters, can't stop yelling. What are you going to do?
You're going to shoot some kid? He's afraid of your love? You're going to shoot an elected official? If you shoot there, you better shoot straight. I don't know why you're in my city.
You did. The governor was not contacted. What is wrong with her? Almost no one thinks Kamala Harris has a political future, especially after her most recent comments. Hakeem Jeffries inspires oh no, I don't know, no one.
It's a disaster.
So whether you're in the camp of Newsom or Obama or Biden, one thing is pretty clear. They're all damaged goods and in desperate need of a direction of a leader. And right now, Republicans legitimately have an open field. The question is. how is the best way to handle the broken Democratic Party, what to do with that open field?
Because at some point, the Dems will get it together. And the GOP has to be ready to once again have a legitimate fight.
So let's go to the Ruthless Podcast, guys. It's time to bring back to our show Josh Holmes, Comfortably Smug, Mike Duncan, Duncan, and John Ashbrook. Welcome, guys. Great to see you. I guess, Josh, let's start with you.
Great to see you. Where do the Democrats go from here? I mean, this is the utter definition of broken.
Well, listen, Brian, the one that you missed in the rundown of all the things that have been happening with the Democratic Party, the New York Times reported this week that they pulled the hog out at the DNC. Evidently, he was exposed at some level.
So he's not going to be the next leader of the Democratic Party. You look around, Chuck Schumer, for example, I think his political acumen expired, I don't know, 15, 20 years ago. Hakeem Jeffries, he couldn't write an agenda if it was a chat GPT-issued event. And, you know, the only good news that they have going on is Kamala Harris is more hidden than a Hunter Biden bank account in Ukraine. Other than that, they got everything going for him, fellas.
Smug, I tell you one thing that pops out is that maybe it's going to be a governor, Westmore, or somebody like that who's not involved in this at all. Because even when it comes to the cities and the actions that we're all witnessing, Blaming Trump as a dictator seems to be an odd attack plan. That's the thing, is they the one thing about the Democrats is they refuse to learn from their mistakes. The David Hawke thing is a perfect example. They're like, we need to appeal to young men.
Also, you're not allowed to be a young man in our party. We'll kick you out. Then they act like, okay, we need attack. Tack back and be more moderate. And that lasts for about a week.
And you're seeing they're just still going as far left as they can. Americans spoke loud and clear. We want illegal immigrants and criminals out of this country. And they're just across the entire nation now doing everything they can to defend illegal immigrants and even bring them back when we've sent them overseas. It's unbelievable.
So the Department of Infighting in the Democratic Party. You look at this infighting in the Democratic Party, they don't look like a team. They got locker room problems, a lot of infighting between all of this. I would say I would compare the Democrats right now to the defense of the Cincinnati Bengals. I don't like the product on the field.
They need to bring in some free agents from the outside. I don't think it's going to be a governor. I don't think it's going to be Jasmine Crockett or any of these people that they currently have on the field. You're going to need somebody new and different. You're going to need a Stephen A.
Smith. You're going to need a Mark Cuban, somebody from outside of politics that isn't already sullied by the Biden-Kamala fallout. I just, here's the thing. I'm going to just blow past Natty Bangles' comment and mention something that these guys have not, which is the shift in tactics that the Democrat grassroots are using.
Now, a lot of their politicians host press conferences, have rallies. But if you look at what their grassroots is doing, you can find out what they want to do to the rest of our country. They are robbing shopping malls all across Los Angeles right now because they are convinced that that's the way to solve climate change. How are you going to solve climate change if you can't steal weather clocks from the sharper image? How are you going to fix the H-1B visa problem if you're not willing to just steal it directly off the shelf at Footlocker?
So I think that their candidate is going to come from the grassroots that's actively stealing things right now at shopping malls in Los Angeles because that's what their party wants to do to the rest of us across the country. And, Josh, let's talk about something else that's going to be happening in a week, and that is they're going to be bringing up some VIP. And some of the cadre and the mob around Joe Biden, Anthony Burnell, Ashley Williams, Neera Tandon, Annie Tomasini, by Jake Tapper's book and other accounts, they were running the country, not even cabinet. This is a Fox News Alert. I'm Ashley Stromeyer Live in New York.
Crews in Israel are searching for survivors following Iran's latest barrage of missiles and drones. We're going to get right to Trey Yinks, who is live on the scene in Tel Aviv. Trey, tell us what you're seeing from what I'm hearing from our people in the booth. It's pretty volatile where you are right now. Yeah, Ashley, there was just a large-scale Iranian ballistic missile barrage.
Toward Tel Aviv, one of those missiles slipped past air defense systems and slammed into the buildings behind me. This is a residential area of Tel Aviv. This is an area that people are known to. And we're just going to move one second because they're trying to clear out this area, Ashley, as we talk. And my cameraman is going to show you the scene here as we move.
But again, this is in Tel Aviv, Israel's second largest city. And you can see that these crews are trying to get a fire under control. They are looking through these buildings to make sure that no one is trapped under the rubble. I can count one, two, three, four, five buildings directly affected by this. And again, the police are just moving people around here as they try to clear a path for the first responders and ambulances that have arrived here on the scene.
Ashley, as we move forward here. We will learn more and be able to report more about the location, but broadly I can say that we are in Tel Aviv, Israel's second largest city. The Army and police are aware of our location. We coordinate these things to make sure that we're not giving away any details that could be harmful to first responders or the people on the scene. But just to describe what we are seeing here, when we arrived, it was still dark.
There was a man who was injured. His name was Gal. He was bleeding from his legs. And I talked to him and I said, What happened? How are you?
How are you feeling? He said, My ears are ringing. I can barely hear you. He said he has glass injuries to his legs, and he was waiting to get medical attention. He was just one of a number of people who.
Was injured, and you can see there's about 10 or 15 journalists at this location we're at, and we're just gonna push back a little bit here, Ashley. But again, the latest information that we have: there has been a ballistic missile attack launched by Iran. at Central Israel. One of those missiles slipping past air defense systems and slamming into. The ground below.
Causing damage to four or five buildings in Tel Aviv. First responders, you can see, are here on the scene. They have gloves, hard hats, and torch lamps. They are now going into the buildings. to try and See if they can find any survivors or other people that were injured.
I want to just show you across the street here, Ashley, there's a massive amount of damage to this very tall building. And it just shows you the blast wave and radius of such a blast when something like this takes place. And so we will find out more information in the minutes, hours ahead. But what we know right now, a number of people have been injured. We can confirm that because we saw it when we arrived here on the scene.
When we got here, This entire parking lot was on fire. Cars were crushed and smashed. And first responders ran into the blaze and they started to put out the fire. As the fire died down, we could really start to see the full scope of what happened here and start to count the buildings that were affected by this blast. One, two, three, four, five, six.
Is shrapnel to this building. Seven, this entire facade over here on this building destroyed. And it just gives you a sense of how destructive these Iranian missiles are when they land. In the center part of Israel, these densely populated areas filled with Israeli civilians. Ashley?
You know, Trey, when you were talking, I saw in the video there was a little girl with her backpack on walking with her dad, and it looked like her brother. And I just want to point out it's 5:15. A.m. in Tel Aviv. I can imagine this is when people are starting to get up and they're going to school and trying to live their normal lives.
How does this attack and what you're seeing on the ground compare? To what you saw when this first initially happened last week on that first attack. Yeah. Yeah. Ashley, I'm going to have my cameraman Yaniv show you the scene here in Tel Aviv.
But that first attack when we were live on Fox and you saw those ballistic missiles raining down. on this city. This was the first indication that the Iranians do possess the ability to strike deep into Israel and cause significant damage. And when you see the scene here, and we are shooting from just a small distance from the impact location, Again. After checking with the police and checking with the army to ensure that we're not giving away any operational security.
We are probably arrived here and and saw this was yet another missile attack. Causing this much damage. They're using similar missiles. As to your question, that they used on the first day responding to the Israeli strikes targeting Iranian nuclear facilities and top IRGC officials. What has changed, though, is as the pressure continues to increase on the Israeli air defense system.
It starts to create a situation where the Israelis can't reload as quickly, they can't shoot down all of this incoming fire, and then ultimately it puts Israel in a place where they have to simply tell. the population to go into bomb shelters. and and hope. Because as you can see with this damage here, Ashley, even if you are in a shelter, Something fortified with concrete that normally Israelis would go to if there's a rocket attack or something similar. It's not enough for these missiles.
These missiles are so large and they have such a large warhead on top. That Even being in a shelter doesn't necessarily mean that you will be protected, but it is certainly better than being on the street or just being near windows or walls. Here at the scene I'm just trying to as daylight is is starting to Come together here. I'm trying to get a better picture of this area. Without giving away too much of the location, I will broadly say that this is an area.
It's quite close to where we are reporting from in Tel Aviv. often before this round of conflict began, And There are coffee shops here. There are. Oftentimes people going for runs. It's a residential area.
And it's an area that is now under direct fire from the Iranian regime. This speaks to the targets that the Iranians are picking out. They are not simply just targeting military installations in Israel. They are going after the heart of cities, they are targeting residential areas. They are hitting apartment buildings.
You saw on Fox the images that we brought you from central Israel earlier today. where they were digging through debris looking for for bodies and There was a man there and he was sitting in a wheelchair in a hospital gown. And we talked to his friend and he said he was pulled from the rubble. His father was still stuck under the debris. They took this man to the hospital and he insisted that the doctors and nurses take him back to the scene and he waited as these first responders tried to dig out his father.
These are humans. They're just like us. They like to go to coffee shops, they like to go to the beach. They're peaceful people and they have been Targeted. following the Israeli strikes against Iran.
And as you can see in the distance behind me, This is a very difficult moment for this country. Because officials and sources that we talk to every day tell us the following days are going to be incredibly difficult, Ashley. They will take casualties, there will be significant destruction. to residential areas of this country. But the Israelis say they knew this was the price going into an operation that they started.
They started with strikes against nuclear facilities in Iran, they started strikes against the ballistic missile program of Iran, and they took out officials from the IRGC. But the Israelis tell us. This was the price that they knew they would have to pay. in order to reduce those threats against the state of Israel. and to try to stabilize a region that is rapidly unraveling.
Ashley? Yeah, and you make a very good point. It's a residential area, and obviously you don't want to give anything away past that. But these are people just living their lives. This is exactly the type of thing we do.
We get up, we go to school, we take our kids to school, we go to work, we go sit down and have coffee with our family and our friends, but this is what they're having to deal with today, which is a Monday morning. It's supposed to be a normal Monday morning for them.
So Iran has made it clear that they don't care about the loss of life. Is happening in Israel when they send these rockets into these residential areas. Have you seen, is it still too early, or have you seen anybody be brought out of these buildings? Have you been able to speak to anyone other than the man you spoke to that you referenced? We saw a couple people being brought out of this area.
The concern is that many of them are trapped in these partially collapsed buildings. And that's why these first responders have made sure that. All of the crews that have arrived here are at a safe distance. They're going into these buildings and starting to dig and try to get information if anyone's trapped under the debris. But that man that we talked to, Gal.
He was still in shock, and I just asked him, I said, Achi, which is bro in Hebrew, are you okay? He said he's okay, but his ears were ringing. because the explosion was so loud. He didn't have a bomb shelter in his building, so he went to the stairwell. It's the next best thing for Israelis who live in older buildings in cities like Tel Aviv.
And I don't even know that he noticed, but he was bleeding from both of his legs. He had injuries from glass and metal. When the explosion happened, it hit him. And you can only imagine he was in a building that wasn't directly hit, from what we understand. You can imagine the types of injuries that would happen to someone who was in one of those buildings.
Wh when you when you see someone like this, you it really Highlights. What's happening here? It highlights the fact that. The population is doing what they can when these alerts come in, but it does take time to get to shelters. They do have a text message alert that goes out to people.
But at the end of the day, this is a volatile situation that Israeli officials say is, in some ways, the nightmare scenario they were trying to prepare for. Trey, when you talk about that text message system, about those missiles incoming, do you know how long they have in advance before they know it's going to hit, or at least in their general area?
So broadly they have about ten minutes when they know missiles are being launched from Iran. And as they get closer, There's a 90-second warning, and you start to hear the air raid sirens sounding across Tel Aviv. And that's the moment that if you're not already in a shelter, You need to get to one or to get to cover. The issue is that when these attacks happen in the middle of the night, it's challenging.
Sometimes people are so exhausted they sleep through the alarms, they don't see the text, or they simply just don't go to the shelter, and it can be deadly. As we saw today, they were pulling bodies out of the rubble of this apartment building. And again, I just want to show you the scene here, Ashley, as the sun rises here in Tel Aviv. strike more clearly I have been to this area, and I'm being again very careful about talking about this. I've been to this area countless times.
It is an area with coffee shops, it is an area filled with a very popular spot to live as a young person in Tel Aviv because you can run, you can end up. Uh go going to to areas where other people gather. And It is now the site of a ballistic missile attack. and a tragedy for the Israeli people. You can see right now they're taking a drone into the air to see if they can can gather any information from the rooftops and see if anyone was on these upper floors.
Ashley? Trey, you said that you saw bodies being brought out, bodies being brought out of this particular Missile strike. Earlier in the day, we were at another site where first responders were pulling bodies out. And as they were pulling those bodies out from a different area of central Israel, not this location. They had the media step back as a sign of respect, and this is something that we often adhere to.
I remember being here on October 7th, and in the days after, when they were. Pulling bodies out of the police station in the southern city of Starot and other places. We try to do our best to gather the information that we need to gather to tell the world what's happening here, while taking into account that these are people with families and also taking into account the serious operational security issues as this war continues. And as we move forward here, and I just want to show you what it looks like down this sidewalk. You can just see the amount of debris.
and leaves coming from these trees. There are buildings that are pocked with shrapnel marks. And there are Storefronts that are completely smashed. Yenev, if you'll come with me here, I just want to show you. Care watch your step, Yeniv.
But I just want to show you inside this store the destruction. And actually, this is an explosion that happened less than an hour ago. I mean, we have just arrived on the scene, but you see the amount of destruction in this store. This is a convenience store, a corner store that has things like paper towels and flip-flops and batteries, things that people would need if they're living in this area of Tel Aviv. and it has been completely destroyed.
Like I said before, this is an area that is packed with civilians. There are No military locations close to where we are. Um We will have more information to report, hopefully, later in the day about the significance of this area. I don't want to get into it now, but people will talk about it later today, certainly. In terms of what happens now, these first responders will stay on the scene, they'll try to.
Gather as much information as they can from people who came out of these buildings to know if anyone was trapped. Just give me one second.
Well stay with me here. Say ha? Yeah. Oh, can you just tell us a little bit about the scene here and what you've seen since you arrived? A little bit in English.
We're live to America. Wh what should people know? J just in our English, I'm just And and wh what what should people know about what happened here? There is a missile hit in the street. and there is a damage for some building.
We uh Uh take off all the fire. and uh search after injuries and uh uh trampet uh people. Yeah, until uh we sh not uh uh get Into. The building. We are still worried that there is some people.
Thank you so much for speaking with us. And so you can see this is a local. Uh fire Personnel. There are medics on the scene, but he just there talked about what is the biggest concern right now, Ashley, and that is the possibility that there are people trapped under. the rubble and debris from these collapsed buildings.
And that's really In the minutes and hours ahead, and these are critical minutes because if people are injured and they survive the initial blast, they want to get to them as quickly as possible. In the distance, they're currently setting up a tent. We have seen this tent before, and this tent is used. For people to check in in the neighborhood, and they will give their names and they will give. Their addresses, and any relatives or friends or family members that they have in the area to ensure that they can account for everyone.
Right now, there are people unaccounted for. You heard directly from that local fire chief. Still, as we speak right now, Ashley, and you're going to see it in a moment, they are bringing in stretchers preparing for the worst. We'll be very careful about what we show you here live. And in the distance, there are ambulances, and they're waiting to just see.
And here's one of those orange stretchers that's being taken in. By these first responders on the scene, who immediately rushed to this site. Again, when we arrived here, everything was on fire. You couldn't even see the buildings. There were so many flames.
As the firefighters got them extinguished, we started to gather more about what happened here. which was clearly a direct hit of an Iranian ballistic missile. Ashley. Yeah, and I just want to point out to anyone who's watching, whatever you're seeing on your screen behind Trey and the damage. Whatever it looks like in this scene, it is a million times worse in real life where Trey is.
You couldn't even fathom to explain and describe. I mean, you're doing a great job of describing what you're seeing, Trey. And, you know, we obviously want you to stay safe. Um It's just, it's hard to see and it's hard to watch, it's hard to talk about. But also, I want to talk about these first responders.
They are worn completely thin doing this. What have they been telling you with the first responders and the crews, the rescue crews that you're talking to? How are they feeling? Because this is very tough on them. Yeah, Ashley, it's all hands on deck for these crews.
They are using. The Army and first responder units in the Army to respond to these scenes. And I talked to a few guys yesterday at a different site in central Israel. guys about my age and I said, look, we Are you guys in the Army all the time? And they said, no, we're in what's called Miluim, reserve duty here.
And They worked in high-tech jobs in Tel Aviv and they have gone into the army, they were called up. because of this war that has now erupted between Israel and Iran. And they were at a site basically saying, we never thought we were going to have to use these skills, just given the fact that their unit. Is an emergency unit in the Army. It's a last resort for when other teams are overwhelmed, firefighters and medics in the area.
And so the fact that they were called up and responding to scenes, digging through rubble, looking for survivors. It speaks to just how challenging this moment is for Israel. And again, as we speak, the Israelis are continuing airstrikes against positions inside of Iran. And Iranian officials earlier in the day, just yesterday, talked about the fact that they're not willing to stop firing. These ballistic missiles, and the Israelis have indicated they're not willing to stop striking Iran.
So, this is far from over. And The reality is that These major population centers like Tel Aviv are going to continue to pay a very heavy price with these missiles raining down. When this explosion happened, we were in a shelter. In Tel Aviv. relatively far from here.
not walking distance, and it shook the entire building that we were in. And I talked to a few people I know that live around here. And they said something terrible has happened. They could hear it, they could feel it. When these strikes happen, it shakes the ground.
and it destroys all of the buildings. in its in its path, in the blast radius of something like this. And again, as we get more light here, the scene is coming into reality. The aftermath of this strike is coming into reality. And as you heard from that Fire Chief directly, Ashley.
Their biggest concern is that there are Israeli civilians trapped under the rubble. Trey, I don't know if you can, if you're seeing what I'm seeing, but I'm seeing a baby that looks Probably about eight months old being brought out, and it is absolutely heartbreaking. We're going to actually move positions if you can stay with us here. Yeah, of course. They're bringing babies out, they're bringing kids out.
I mean our This is just from what I'm seeing in your shot now. I'm sure there's... Tons of children being brought out with their families that you're seeing right now. Yes, um and that's part of what we're trying to do here is is get a better picture of that. And uh it's a b bit of negotiation here with these first responders.
Of course it's a very tense scene. But we when you move in these areas their biggest concern is that there are buildings that could collapse. I think that's not Okay, just one second. Stay with me, Ashley.
So Daraba. And just stay with me, Ashley. We're trying to get to that area that you are discussing where people are being taken. Um and so we're just walking here in Tel Aviv. Again, you're going to see the tent that I talked about as we walk by here, and actually, this is important to explain as we're live here, actually.
The tent off to my right here. is used by teams that are trained in first Uh response. have computers and they have Information about the local residents so that they can try to start accounting for people. And Just stay with me here, Ashley, because we just need to watch where we're going. You're going to see a lot of first responders in this area.
These are the teams that are waiting for people that are being taken Are these media? Yes, these are medic teams and I'm gonna have just show you a different vantage point here. You can see down here, these are all medics. From United Hurts a lot. United Hatzalah?
And just stay with me. I just need to talk to the team for one second, Ashley. We're gonna stand right here. Ache. Here, besides?
No, no, no. Um And so we're just moving back a little bit here as these teams continue to work. But I'll just show you a little bit more damage across the street here, Ashley. Again, this speaks to the blast radius. when these things happen.
And uh Just be mindful of some of these signs, Genev. Shoot this direction. And if you look down here You're gonna see. A lot of damage to storefronts. You can hear those alarms that are going off.
And we won't stay in this location too long as to not uh to keep it so loud. But again, behind me in the distance, there are teams still going through this debris looking for any survivors that may be... traps still under the rubble. Ashley. You know, I'm seeing just in the video box next to you, it looked like an older woman being brought out.
How many people, like I said, this is just what I'm seeing from the video that you guys are shooting right now. H how many people are you seeing them bring out right now? I can't see the video that you are showing. And from what we understand, there are multiple impacts. At this vantage point, we are not.
And we also understand there are multiple impact scenes. And just stay with me, Rash. I'm going to get away from this loud noise so that you can hear me a little bit better. We understand that there are multiple impact scenes. And so it may be somewhere else in central Israel.
It may be in a location close to here. And I'm just going to show you here is these teams of first responders, they have all of this gear ready. They're prepared for these scenarios. They're often considered worst case scenarios, but they are prepared. They're ready.
And that is what we're seeing now, the plan into action. But I think what is the most important point to this and I'm just going to show you this area, and before I show it to you, you need to stay one second, actually. Stay pointed here. I'm going to give you some instructions because, again, I don't want to give away the location that we're at. Try to just shoot the front of this location.
Um But if you if you look into here, wrong direction, into here You will see that this is a coffee shop. There's no sign, it doesn't tell you the exact location, but. Uh it's a coffee shop. It's where people gather and it's actually a relatively new coffee shop. This is two blocks away from the epicenter of this blast.
We're still, as we speak, and we'll pan over here, they are. And you can see they're bringing in a generator there. They're trying to get the situation under control. I'm not sure where those images, and actually, here there's There's a dog. That you're gonna see over here, I think that's just someone else's dog.
But you asked earlier about something that I'll give you the answer to now. As we're kind of moving here, I'm thinking about a lot of things at one time. You asked earlier about the first responders, Ashley. And to tell you about them, There are people, most of them, who have day jobs in high-tech where they work in bars or restaurants. And they have volunteered in many cases to to come into a reserve role.
during this war and to help and do what they can. And so today we were at the scene and and there were they were were in a circle and they were We're basically trying to keep their spirits high, understanding that the work that they were about to do is some of the most terrific work that you could imagine, taking people's loved ones from under the debris in the aftermath of a ballistic missile strike. And that's exactly what is happening here behind me in Tel Aviv today following the latest strike. And so when we think about what they go through, you know, we've seen a lot of this firsthand. It's challenging to process.
And there was a dog earlier today, actually, that they brought. It was a resilience dog. But the first responders were going over to it, and the dog's name was June, and it was a black lab with long hair. And they were petting it. And it was just this moment of peace amid so much chaos here that reminded me of what this is all for.
In terms of Responding to these scenes. It's about. Trying to make people feel safe and comfortable. And so we talk about what it's for, why these first responders do what they do. That's why, because they want to be in a situation where they can give back to their community and ensure they can help in any way possible amid this war.
Yeah, it's a total hands-on deck with everyone there. Like you said, they have other jobs. They're just trying to help out. And that was my question. Are they, how many first responders do they have?
But if they're coming from other jobs and that's just them helping out, that makes total sense. Trey Yingst, thank you so much for the work you're doing down there and giving us some insight into what's happening. Stay safe. And we're going to be checking in with you as the news warrants. We appreciate it.
Stay safe. Thank you, Asher. Joining me now to break all of this down is Senior Fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, Benam Ben Tembloo. He focuses on Iran, non-prolific ballistic missiles, and international security in relation to the Middle East. Can you hear me?
Yes, loud and clear. I just want you to give us your initial reaction to what has all transpired in the last 38 minutes.
Well, absolutely. The Islamic Republic is using ballistic missiles with heavier and heavier warheads. No doubt, the Israeli left of launch mission to destroy Iran's launchers as well as missiles continues the pace. But the Islamic Republic is still firing ballistic missiles at Israel. It is still firing them at population centers.
Pro-regime media outlets and pro-regime social media in Iran are tweeting pictures of fires in Haifa, of building impacts in Tel Aviv. the regime is trying to generate a status dividend from still being in the fight, even though it continues to get weaker and weaker. You know, I was talking to Trey about this, and I mean, this is a residential area. I saw babies. Eight-month-old babies being brought out of these buildings after this.
Iran does not care about the loss of life here at all. No, not at all. And you couldn't have a sharper contrast between the kind of state that Israel is and the kind of government that the Islamic Republic of Iran is. The Israelis have been targeting nuclear sites, military sites, targeting the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, those engaged in both foreign aggression and domestic suppression.
Meanwhile, the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran is boasting that it is firing on population centers, boasting that it is firing on densely populated places like Tel Aviv and Haifa and Ramat Ghan. This is a regime that is actually trying to draw blood. In military terms, these kinds of strikes are called countervalue strikes. The regime knows it cannot compete with Israel militarily. Therefore, by continuing to escalate the war and trying to draw blood and kill civilians, they're trying to erode the will of the Israelis to stay in the fight.
And I think and you think I'm pretty sure you and Trey know that they are misreading Israeli society here, which has proven itself so resilient in the pre and post october seventh Middle East. What do you think the next steps are in the next hours, coming hours for Israel should be?
Well, certainly, as Trey was saying on the tail end there, search and rescue, putting out these fires is going to be priority number one. But making sure that the Islamic Republic and more importantly, its military and even political leadership needs to understand that these strikes will come with a cost. And the longer the Islamic Republic continues to stay in the fight and escalate the conflict, the greater the price to the regime itself and perhaps even to regime survival. Do you even think a deal can be struck between these two right now? I certainly think that the President has been remarkably clear, President Trump, that is, that his desire is for a peaceful resolution to the Iran nuclear issue, which is the reason that triggered the Israeli strikes, that the Iranians were cheating.
The Iranians were looking for a way to get to the bomb as cheaply and as cost free as possible. But the more the regime stays in the strike and stays in the war, and the more the Israelis have military successes against the regime, the utility of a deal drops. I, for one, thought that President Trump should not have even offered back in March and April to negotiate with the Iranians because he had the upper hand with national security presidential memorandum number two. That was the memorandum that restored his successful maximum pressure campaign from term one. But it is exactly actions like this that destroyed the utility for the President of being able to generate a political win by negotiating with a regime like this that continues to so openly and brazenly fire on civilian population centers.
I think the bottom line analysis needs to be that this regime needs to go. And I just want to, for anyone who's just now joining us, it's 5:42 a.m. in Tel Aviv. This happened within the last hour. We've seen kids with their backpacks on with their dads and their brothers walking out of these buildings.
You've got first responders in these buildings. It was about five residential buildings that were hit early this morning, right before the sun came up. These people are just trying to live their normal lives, go to school, make a living, and then they're having to deal with this. Ben and Ben, thank you so much for your time and your take on this. We appreciate it.
Thank you so much. Bye-bye. We're also following breaking news out of Minnesota, where Fox News can now confirm the gunman accused of shooting two state lawmakers and their spouses has been arrested. 57-year-old Vance Bolter is accused of assassinating Democratic Minnesota State Representative Melissa Horton and her husband and severely injuring state senator John Hoffman and his wife. Hoffman and his wife underwent surgery and the lawmakers' homes were less than 10 miles apart.
Investigators say early yesterday morning. Bolter, dressed like a police officer, came out of Hortman's home and fired at police before escaping. We're also learning police found a list of 70 names, including other lawmakers and abortion providers, in Bolter's car. That car also allegedly looked like a police car. Minnesota's Governor Tim Walls is calling the shooting a, quote, act of targeted violence.
And President Trump is promising persecution to the fullest extent of the law. The FBI was offering 50. A $50,000 reward for information leading to Bolter's arrest. Joining us now on the phone is former D.C. police detective and defense attorney, as well as a Fox News contributor, Ted Williams.
Ted, we're just getting this information in the last five minutes or so. I want your take on what we're learning.
Well, what you what so far from what we know here and this is all fluid at this time, but that there was a location where they found the automobile and they found what they believe was Boltas or cowboy hat, the cowboy hat that in many of the pictures that He was seen wearing And as a result of that, law enforcement made a concentration on that part of Minnesota. And it is my understanding and from what we've been told They have or here been in arrest. Uh I'm somewhat surprised because uh I thought That with all that we know about Bolta, and we know quite a bit now about him. that he very much wo may have was going to resist and probably go out with suicide by cop. But apparently, that did not materialize All indications are That or he's under arrest.
That's good. Oh, that's good for the citizens there in Minnesota. And clearly, this is tells me that there was excellent law enforcement work We also know that there was a fifty thousand dollar reward that had been put out by the FBI. And we know that at certain times or from the time that he was a layers to health uh shot uh the two Or or the Hoffman and That he's been on the run and that he had had some contact with individuals.
So I think what you're going to find here, and we should have, I'm sure, a press conference very soon. Yeah, there's an 11:30 news taking place. Yeah, we're expecting a news conference around 11:30, so in 45 minutes or so.
So we should get more information then. Go ahead, Tad.
Well uh Well again, as I said, and I'm very excited behind this because I was hoping that he could, if anything, be brought in without anybody being further injured and specifically law enforcement officers that were pursuing him. And so as a result of our good law enforcement work, and possibly some help from citizens in the area, or this man is now in custody where he certainly belongs. You know, talk to me about the amount of time. It didn't seem like it took long, but the amount of time that it took the authorities to capture this man, and not only that, but that has to be incredibly dangerous for him to be dressed as a police officer and for them to kind of go about that in a safe manner.
Well It is, but from what we know, and uh at one stage there he was. when he was alleged to have committed these offenses, he was dressed as a law enforcement officer. But we saw other pictures later of him dressed in other civilian clothes and having and wearing a cowboy hat. And uh so those Those were the last actual Photos that we had of Boltu in some portions of Minnesota there. But then There was a press conference late this afternoon here where Minnesota authorities let it be known that they had found a car that they believe was associated with Bolter, and they also found a cowboy hat in the vicinity of where the call was located.
So law enforcement then decided that they would concentrate on that area. And as a result of that, there has now been an arrest. Ted, I want you to hang on the line for me. I'm going to bring in former NYPD Inspector and Fox News contributor Paul Morrow to talk about this as well.
So stick on the line. Paul, can you hear me? I can hear you. Walk us through what the police had to go through to track this man down and find him, and what that was like for them.
Well, obviously, this is one of those cases where the police were going to depend very heavily on the public. They went very public very quickly as soon as they had a good ID on him because he had gotten out of pocket. And at that point, the Public is your great greatest force multiplier. And my read on him Is that this guy is like a real wannabe? I mean, he's advertising that he's got this security firm and contacts all over the world.
And yet he's working in a funeral home, like a lot of it just doesn't add up. And so My read is that he gets himself this fake police uniform that he gets God knows where And then he discards it to get away. It takes the cowboy hat. When this is a sort of real sort of uh amateur stunt. to get to wear something very ostentatiously and then remove it.
Thinking that that's going to throw off anybody who's tracking you and looking for you.
So he wears the big ten gallon hat. He knows he's photographed with it. He must know that the that the location that he was living in had the uh ring cameras or whatever that camera is that capture them. And I think he just thought that he was going to be a step ahead of law enforcement the whole way. and that he was going to outspart everybody and Yeah, these you know, you sent that grandiose text, assuming it's legitimate.
To this roommate, that when you next hear about me, I may be dead, and all this other stuff. At the end of the day, He is still allegedly. We get that, you know, he's innocent until proven guilty, but if the facts come. Together as it looks like. He is still, at the end of the day, a guy who shot four people in their beds.
for some arcane reason that made sense to him And let's just see how far they can go with the charges, because I'm hoping the feds can get charges on him because he could be looking at the death penalty. Yeah, that was my next question. How far do you think they'll bring those charges for this man? It's going to be tricky. I'm not sure the feds are going to be able to get your jurisdiction on this and the federal charges that you would need.
At first flush, it looks like a state level homicide charge But on the other hand, Um we know we had a hit list. We know it had a certain characteristic to it, and we don't know what else they've gotten. I'm sure they've gone deep into his comms already, his communications, excuse me. They've interviewed people. I'm sure that they've gone into whatever they could get off of his phone account and so on.
If they could put together that he did what he did for ideological reasons. And we do have to remember that the governor said that this was a political act. We don't know what we meant by that, and that's not a legal definition. But that said, If you can put together that he did what he did for ideological purposes, you're getting into terrorism area. And if you commit a crime of this magnitude, a violent crime like this, you take somebody's life, you could be looking at a terrorism charge.
You know, not only that, but you were talking about I I I have a question. Do people like this and the things that he did and what he tried to pull off I mean, he seems like he was a lone wolf with this, that he acted alone. How often does that happen to where these people are acting alone and they have no help? Yes, again, I'm going off with the facts that we know, and obviously, the police, the FBI and all the agencies involved know a lot more. But again, reading the tea leaves, I'm getting slipping down life He's got a thin and varied work history, none of which really seems to add up to much.
And that is very often the kind of person who receives into themselves He's living in this rooming house as an adult in this away from his family. He's got this whole other life And I think at this point, had there been an accomplice or somebody who would be assisting him, I think we know about it. I think that the police were very forthcoming in saying, look, this is the guy we're looking for. If there was another piece in the wind here, It would have been saying, and by the way, you gotta look out for this piece as well.
So look, there were certainly questions about how we managed to get away after the initial confrontation with the police, He definitely, as Ted has said previously, he definitely did a lot of planning here. But I'm getting Lone Wolf Flipping down life. Decided for some reason or other that he was going to do this grandiose thing in his mind. And it was anything but. Do I still have Ted Williams on the phone?
Ted, can you hear me? Yes, I can hear you loud and clear. You know, Paul was giving me his read on what type of man he thinks Bolton is. What was your read on him?
Well, you know, I listen to Paul, and Paul is absolutely one hundred percent right or they we don't really know at this stage And we don't have a lot of information as to whether he was acting in concert with others. And quite naturally, that's all part of the investigation. And I can assure you that by now, I believe that the investigators know if he was acting in concert with others. But it is somewhat Interesting that He is at this one location where the shooting took place. They think they have him corraled in that area.
And yet he's able to get out of that area on foot.
Now, uh If someone helped him, I think one of the things that they're going to be definitely looking at and they're going to get a search warrant for is his cell phone. That cell phone can have a a a potpourri of uh of information in there that can help the authorities because You? He was in concert with others. It is more likely than not that he utilized that cell phone to communicate with other individuals. And so law enforcement would clearly know that.
I'm sure, well, I shouldn't say I'm sure, but I would have to believe. that they may very well have his cell phone also. Um But this guy Thought he was very smart. He had been involved in law enforcement. or in as in a security firm.
key or thought that I believe that he could carry out the These murders, and he wanted to murder these people. You look at the hoffs, they were shot eight and nine times. And God bless them because to to survive, that kind of a shooting. And then the hordesman both both or were shot and killed. And but for good police work.
He was using a police vehicle And I think that he thought that he was going to escape both of these crime scenes, and he probably would have, but for good police work.
So once the law enforcement officers contacted him there at the second scene, or he immediately took off running. They were able to get a heck of a lot of information, a treasure trove of information from that. Vehicle that law enforcement car that he was utilizing. And so as a result as a result of that having gone on the run, One of my concerns was that or he would have a lot of individuals that he knew he could be in contact with and that maybe some of those individuals would have helped him. And perhaps we will learn one way or another if other individuals are involved and if other individuals helped him.
But I also agree with Paul that when you look at this, And if you really think about it, The feds are going to try to bring some kind of a perhaps charge for terrorism because what he did, even though he was a lone wolf as much as we know it at this stage, He clearly was trying to terrorize these individuals. He had a manifesto. He had many other individuals' names that he was going after. Even when they went to his home, They found out Way had a second list of individuals or lawmakers that he was targeting.
So clearly, as far as I'm concerned, this was a terrorist act. Lone Wolf. Terrorists in our country. Yeah, and Ted, as far as the other people on that list, I mean, I I'm sure there's police at their homes still. I mean, would that be that I mean Logical to say?
Oh, absolutely. It is my understanding that You have the two senators from Minnesota. And that the Capitol Police have put specific guards. On those two sentences. Other lawmakers have been notified by law enforcement that their names were on this list.
And those law enforcement or those lawmakers, I understand, have taken precautions themselves. And this And this this is a a good this arrest because those individuals now can be relieved. But the big question we still do not know Is was this man acting out alone, or was he actually working in concert with others? That we don't know. Or at some stage or another here, I would have to believe that's going to be crystallized and clarified.
Okay, and I want to go to Paul really quick. Paul, you were involved with the NYPD for many, many, many years. I know in New York, there are certain instances that the NYPD Can be called to stand guard essentially at people's homes. like for example, after what happened in Israel, they can request someone at the Israeli ambassador at their home. Is that what they can do as well at like a state level in Minnesota in situations like this?
Well, I'm sure they did. And I'm sure they can. I'm sure they did. And I think right embedded in our story here is the fact that the patrol team that responded the first night to the Hoffman home they were cognizant enough to go to the second home of the Mosa Hartman's house to see if she was okay to do a wellness check. And that's when they encountered the alleged perpetrator here.
So very clearly, they're aware of where their VIPs are. Ted is right. The list is, from what I understand, very heavy. On local politicians and state level politicians in Minnesota. It has a um a very abortion related overlay.
Um, a number of organizations. My understanding is that it's uh somewhat confused as well, so uh we'll have to see if and when all of that comes out, but you know. Ted talks about what are, I think, the key holes in this story, which is the initial encounter. Because once he is spotted by the police, and we don't even know if they make him immediately as a fake cop. You know, it's dark out, there's a patrol car there of some variety.
He retreats apparently into the house. And apparently, some sort of a standoff occurred because, according to the early reporting, the bodies found in the house at that location were only located by a telephone. I don't want to cut you off. Stay on the phone. Stay on the phone.
We're going to come right back to this here in just a couple of minutes. Hold that thought.
