The Baptist Bible lower known comes to you under the direction of Elder Lucero Bradley Junior, pastor of the Cincinnati primitive Baptist Church will and share Bradley Junior inviting you to stay tuned for another message of God's sovereign grace and in him and in a you I want to thank each of you who have taken time to write us, in particular those who help with the support of the program with thankful to be able to bring messages from God's word each week and pray that they will be a blessing to all the listen.

Our address is the Baptist Bible. Auerbach, 17 old, 37, Cincinnati, OH 45217. I hope that you will write this week and let us know that you've listened that if you can help us at this time. This is a five Sunday month and so the need is particularly great. We continue today with the message the peace of God, the text is Philippians chapter 4 beginning with the fourth verse rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice that your moderation be known and all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus first identified a problem that in our human nature.

We are prone to worry worry is a sin and we are told here to be careful for nothing will be full of care. Don't be worrying.

And then we looked at the solution to rejoice in the Lord all the way and the promise is that there will be peace given us was observed that while we are prone to worry. The solution is to rejoice all the way in the Lord and so we come today to speak about that joy in this joy that we have finally connected to the knowledge of the truth about God, somebody does understand the truth about God, cannot prove able to have the scavenger if their concept is the God that they worship is limited. He can only do certain things, but might not be able to accomplish other sentence that's going to be very limiting when it comes to trying to rejoice. But the more we know about God, the more we understand the truth about God, the more we are into his word and see what is revealed about himself, the greater actual Psalm 21 verse one says it were to rejoice in his strength, thinking that without Isaiah chapter 40 verse 12. Listen to this description of the greatness of our who have measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure and weighed the mountains in scales from the hills and the balance, you read that and you say I get what the psalmist is talking about. Rejoice in his strength, his power.

Verse 22 it is he that sits above the circle of the earth. The inhabitants there are as grasshoppers that stretches out the heavens as a curtain and spread them out as a tent dwelling.

This is the time in whom we trust this is not, upon whom we depend rejoice in his strength in his power rejoice in his sovereignty that he has absolute authority. He has the right to accomplish whatever he designs Daniel chapter 4 verse 35 he do according to his will is never asked for any counselor advice fact that passage in Isaiah chapter 40 goes on to discuss that issue and hear you say that he does according to his will, not going to be advise us on this allowed us to think that's what we got our operator I not doing this are doing that is always gotten defend himself. He does according to his will in the Army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth, and none can say is Hannah Sandy him what no demon accountant interfere. The wicked man upon this earth can challenges sovereign acts, though none can stay in his hand or rightfully say Lord, what are you doing we rejoice, we rejoice in his power rejoice in his soft consoling today to know pecans on the throne. Some of the people have had conversation with her continually using the word worry are not believers. I tried to witness to the temple about what it means to believe in Jesus Christ for salvation and therefore they would have confidence in God. Trying times. This person is in the dark and didn't like to see the way have been adequate convicted of this in month-long worry Freddie, they don't have one to whom they can turn they don't have one where they can find confidence and hope as you who are believers in Jesus Christ and that certain we should rejoice in his salvation that passes to which would just referred Psalm 21 verse one will get the whole verse. This time the king showed joy in thy strength overlord and in thy salvation, how quickly shall include a rejoice in the strength of God in the salvation of God.

Romans chapter 5 verse eight but God commended his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us getting back something to rejoice in the rejoice in the salvation that while we were yet sinners, we were renting we were enemies, we deserve nothing Obligated to us, but he gave his son, Jesus Christ, cinnamon the fullness of time to go to the cross he willing to lay down his life. He shed his blood.

He paid the price he did for us what we could never have done for ourselves could not even contribute to potential Christ died for us while we were yet sinners, sometimes one worry is creeping up your trying to deal with a comeback and think about this team. I been bought and paid for. Christ died for me while yet I was a sinner than Romans chapter 8 verse 16 the Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God, and that reason, rejoice back. The children of God. Not every member of the human race as a child of God. Those who are his children to those of been born again. They been adopted into his family physician what what a joy to think of a child of God, child of the King as a father, he's the perfect father pecans about me.

He cares enough to support me and encourage me.

He cares enough to love me he cares enough to teach me. He cares enough to chasten me, training me like something out of yes, children of God and his children then errors heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ is just phenomenal thinking you can come close to grasping that to the joint heir with Jesus Christ that everything he has is his grace. If so, believe it yourself with him that he may be also glorified together so you suffer now you go through troubles and difficulties now, but looking to elect David to be glorified conform perfect execution each and all of the suffering. All the troubles all of the struggles all of the conflicts will all be behind you will be over forever glorified conform to the image of Jesus Christ rejoice all way.

Rejoice in his promises.

Hebrews 13 five says I will never leave the nor for sake, that we may boldly say the Lord is my helper promise somebody might make that promise to you and would be worth anything, they would say I'll never leave you next week believe that when God says I will never leave you.

You can put it back to school this time God keeps his promise.

The Philippians 419, but my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus my God will supply all your need in the next part of this passage. Let your moderation be known to all men might say what's that got to the subject. I thought were talking about peaks were talking about the fact that worry is a sin will not to worry.

This kid interjected into its put there as the apostle Paul wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. So obviously it's a vital part of what does it mean moderation doesn't mean compromising the truth doesn't mean an attitude of indifference doesn't mean that you reach the parts I will I do struggle with so much trouble and I'm worried so much. I've just got the place. I don't care it on the back. That's not what it's talking is it's a gentle spirit its forbearance smallness described saying they feel the best definition looking at the original language in translating it for us would be to say sweet reasonableness sweet reasonableness, mercy toward others a gracious spirit, gracious humility got to do with overcoming worry and rejoicing well.

You see, if you're focused on himself. As there is no humility. So you're focused on self, you thinking about self-esteem, thinking about what you can do to get ahead that you're constantly frustrated confronted because you believe that there are others being prospered, when you should've that what they have in shoulders. Envy and jealousy in all of those things. Enter into it and all of this leads to instability, and anxiety. So there needs to be gracious humility, humbly thanking God for whatever you have whenever here's given you have in the spirit and attitude of the patriarch Jacob who said I'm not worthy of the least of thy mercies person has the spirit are not easily offended or not harboring hard feelings. Yes, this is all a part of it. Let your moderation be known to all men. Notice that in what we've observed thus far in each case were pointing to the Lord when it says to rejoice in the Lord and Paul says in the 13th verse I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

Sam having a tough time with his heart. I don't see how I could rejoice all in the Lord. Then you turn to the Lord for help. I can do all things through Christ which strict with me and he said let your moderation be known of the wall meant what's the next thing the Lord is at hand.

The Lord is near. You're not there struggling by yourself. He hasn't left you alone and take this to Domesticate the Lord is near. The Lord is there to help. The Lord is there to guide the Lord is there to hold you up.

The Lord is there to give you strength.

He is at hand. So if you're mindful of his presence.

Mindful of his promises. Then you see and not be anxious not to be worry, you're not going to be for 10. The next thing he tells us is prayer. Prayer with thanksgiving play about everything. Worry about nothing/Psalm 62 verse eight trust in him at all times. He people pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us. Dr. person one time said and I just have a lot of trouble opening up an athlete like I need help I feel like I need somebody to understand me but I'm reluctant to do that just is not my nature struggling with that feel very much alone because I don't have anybody that I can really talk to us on the table in the Trinity. The Lord himself, Somerset, pour out your heart for the Lord already knows all the details of your life you were talking to a friend or something. You wouldn't television down.

Not everything was he already knows you inside out, pour out your heart before him in Hebrews chapter 4 verse 14 seeing then that we have a great high priest that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities. It's a blessing to consider is we have a high priest who is sensitive one who can be touched with the feeling of our infirmities because he was tempted in all points like as we are yet without sin is encouraging is reason to rejoice that we have a high priest we could go to camp directed to Kim Parada heart confess our sin find forgiveness in him and he understand all about this.

Let us therefore come boldly under the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need that first Thessalonians 517 says play with out ceasing.

So for the rejoice in the Lord always before going to refrain from worry were not really full of anxiety and depression right to something about tactics vital. Pray with thanksgiving, Lord God in humble submission, not challenge God's providence Lord stem Crystal understand all that you do know you can admit that you don't let it not be a complaining spirit your coming humbly before him casting all your care. That's what first Peter chapter 5 verse seven says, casting all your care upon Kim for key carrots for you to take all that were all right anxiety and you captured upon Kim come with thanksgiving. Colossians chapter 2 verse six says NG have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord so all he and him rooted and built up in him and established in faith as you have been called up rounding therein with thanksgiving to theme off repeated throughout Scripture the apostle certainly is emphasizing it here in this portion. Colossians chapter 4 verse two continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving.

That means that when you're turning the Lord your coming to him to pour out your heart, you're going to make your requests known you start with thanksgiving how easy it is to run past without a heavy burden were many things will only out before the Lord. So we rush right and begin to make a request like to request a note with thanksgiving. What a difference that makes the people who were so depressed I could think for the moment, anything for which to give thanks as a dreadful state of mind.

Just take a piece of paper sit down, write out a list helping you remember the things that you have for which to give thanks. Give thanks for his promises.

Thanks for the hope of eternal life. Thanks for his continuing work in your life because it is he that hath begun a good work and you will perform in the end of the day of Jesus Christ. Thinkable that you're still working in spite of my failures, my shortcomings that you still love me you still care for me. Thank him for that undying love. Thank you for the possible. What a blessing to hear the gospel of the grace of God multitudes have never heard that true message, but you've heard your heart has been open to receive it. You want to hear it over again. The good news that Jesus Christ is the Savior centers that he came here to save his people from their sins and did the work that was given them of the father to do thanks for the gospel. Give thanks for the church.

Give thanks for the fellowship that we have as believers and give thanks for your family and for your friends. Give thanks for the daily provisions that you enjoy that you have food to eat a place to stay all all all that list can go above everything else, give thanks. As the apostle said for his unspeakable gift the Lord Jesus Christ. No matter how desperate our situation might be with you always say with the apostle. Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift. Then we come to a blessing received verse seven of this fourth chapter. Philippians God given and the peace of God which passes understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus piece. What a wonderful thing. Conflict turmoil war, worry, anxiety, or Drexel piece peace like a river is a blessing from God.

Isaiah chapter 26 verse three thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is staying on the eve because he trusted in the gym and stayed on him. If you place an order thinking about our troubles order thinking about is this crisis were facing our nation and around the world today hits you going to be full of anxiety, but I will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on available Psalm 29 verse 11 the Lord will give strength unto his people.

The Lord will bless his people with peace.

And then Jesus said shortly before his crucifixion in John 1427 peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you, not of the world. Give us give you. Let not your heart trouble. Let it be afraid. Peace passes understanding beyond human comprehension beyond human inventions and insights and philosophies and ideas. It's a blessing that is from Romans 1133 says all the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God, how unsearchable are his judgments and his ways past five Find out understand able to grasp all the ways of God. I've had people say to me when they lost a loved one in their heart was broken say.

But you know I have the sweetest piece of ever had such peace that passes understanding, we can have that piece in these trying times in which we are living in says it garners your heart. It guards your mind and your heart is a military term is just as soldiers would guard the city. God protects the believers from worry and fear about this piece. This piece doesn't eliminate the trials, but it gives you peace in the midst of and then in verse eight of this passage Paul gives what I like to refer to as Paul's think list says.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report of the been diverted the been appraised. Think on these things keep mulling over in your mind the troubles that surround you be prone to worry you think on these things so much and that not time to deal with it just now come back to another time, but here the things you think about so were told to rejoice in the Lord always. We are not to worry, we let moderation be known with the old man would make our requests known with thanksgiving and think on these things. Verse nine. Those things which you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, do, and the God of peace shall be with you. I have used this fourth chapter Philippians verses four through nine frequently in counseling over the years and distinctly one person coming back. Well it didn't work.

What you make it didn't work well. I did everything it supposed more than one unit.

I try to comply with all of the instruction at rejoice time I prayed, but down the last specter that single person single thing type. The same struggles nothing, nothing is changed I said did you read verse nine. What I do remember what verse nine say the apostle says these things that you have been taught by me and seen in me, do, and the word that is translated do in our English version means to perform repeatedly habitually make a practice so you don't just do this one time. This is not a quick fix that you run down the list one day and the next day everything glorious and bright. This becomes a way of life. You do it repeatedly. You do it habitually given worry is devastating, extremely discouraging, it can keep you even from the duties of life. What's worse, it's a sin. It dishonors God because it means that you not trust you may be given lipservice to sale. I believe God is sovereign, but if you're worrying you're not trusting the worry is the city. What a blessing in the time of crisis.

Crisis now sweeping over the world through Jesus Christ, you can have peace which passes understanding read this passage over everyday this week. Philippians chapter 4 verses four to rejoice always in the Lord. Do not worry bluntly filled with anxiety. Do not fret. Do not doubt, not fear that you trust him peace of God that passes understanding, shall keep your minds and hearts through Christ Jesus. Heavenly father, we thank the for this passage of Scripture. We pray that I would give us understanding of the special grace to be able to utilize applied in our lives than the weakness of the flesh were prone to worry will confess. Worry is a sin come humbly to the throne of grace, asking for strength that we might be able to trust in the darkness, and most difficult of times. We prayed that I would bless us all to learn about trials to grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Bless each one who has listen to this message today worked in each life according to their sovereign pleasure to bring about that which will be for their glutathione glory we asked for Jesus sake, a man who is being an if you would like to get this complete message. The peace of God, on CD requests that when writing this this week and you can also request the booklet things can be better today. Look forward to hearing from you until next week.
