This is After Hours with Amy Lawrence. That was a pretty good job. You must unlearn what you have planned. Yeah, Han Solo. Don't get cocky. It's a Star Wars kind of night. We're doomed.
I don't think so. Fighting with a lightsaber is real. The Force is with you young Skywalker.
I am a Jedi, like my father before me. This is After Hours with Amy Lawrence. Well I don't know, Colton. I think you might be pulling some dirty tricks here to try to put yourself tops on the list for the show. No one else has played Star Wars music who's filled in or who has auditioned for the gig.
It's kind of weird to say auditioning. Who's hanging out while we're looking for our new producer. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence and yes it may be a requirement that you have to be a Star Wars nerd to be part of the show. Even if you're a budding and brand new Star Wars nerd. That's what producer Jay was when I got to him.
He was kind of into Star Wars and now he is maybe even as nerdy as I am. You can find us online at ALawRadio. That's Twix or on our Facebook page. They are always open and available for you. Our phone number 855-212-4227. That's 855-212-4227 and if I ever decide to get out of sports radio I may just go into Star Wars radio. I could do it. It would be phenomenal to just watch Star Wars and talk about it all the time. I don't know who would want to listen to it but if I could make a living doing that, all right. Maybe throw in some John Williams music, some analysis, just to play John Williams and all of his iconic Star Wars scores. I could spend my life doing that. Somebody asked me once if you were stuck on a desert island and could only listen to three songs the whole time for the rest of your life what would they be that you wouldn't get sick of. Now I daresay we'd get sick of anything if that's all we had for the rest of our lives but yes the Star Wars theme it's got to be on the list or if you want to narrow it down maybe not the Star Wars theme which I love but the Imperial March. That's how my husband and I entered the reception to the Imperial March.
I kid you not. There is a video of it though we haven't watched it yet. Seven months in we still haven't watched our wedding video. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence. Thanks so much for hanging out with us.
If you didn't know the U, not the U.S. Open, the Open Championship is already underway and in fact it's now on TV. I'm not going to tell you where because I don't think you should be watching it while you're supposed to be listening to our show. Instead let's talk to Tony in Illinois before we get to hoops. Hi Tony.
Hi Amy. Oh that's a tough it's a tough listen. Are you on a are you in a in a tunnel? No I'm sorry I'm in a little forklift at work and I had you on my Bluetooth. Okay that's no now you're clear. No it's much better all right well thanks for taking my call. Of course. I'm glad to have you back on the air. Thank you. I was actually one of those that answered the Facebook question earlier and then made the joke about I hope you're out of PTO time.
Well I am until the holidays so you're in luck. Okay great well I just was turning you on like I always do at work tonight and heard you just talking about the World Series of Poker thing so I had to call. I got to give a shout out to a guy I know my home little town 7,000 people out here about an hour and a half west of Chicago.
Lonnie Eisenberg. He paid the 10 grand to enter. Wow. And he actually passed out with $60,000 and made it all the way to 220 first place out of those 10,000 people. Whoa wait it cost $10,000 to enter? That's why first place is 10 million.
Holy cannoli. Yeah it's not your average little garage poker night you know what I mean? Right. But he said too the funniest thing I looked at on his Facebook page he says the reason these guys are pros is because they paid the 10 grand and it's just like playing with your buddies. You know if you get the cards you win if you don't you don't. It's simple.
The game's never changed. That's really interesting but still though it's hard for me to fathom 10,000 people shelling out 10,000 bucks but as you point out that's how they get to the huge pot. That's how they got those bracelets involving diamonds and all that money at the end. Yeah but yeah everybody's super proud of him. He actually you know what I mean? He family and friends gave money for him to do this.
It was one of his dreams and then here he comes cashing back and handing them more money back than they thought they were gonna get. Oh that's awesome. A cool little story. Yeah that really is so neat. So I guess I didn't know this. You can win money even if you don't end up at the final table.
Oh yeah yeah like he it's the final or the fourth day if you make the fourth day like he had an hour to go before it was like maybe three people left that were you know had to be out before he got the money so he just sat there and anneed a little bit you know I think probably like I would have but yeah after the fourth day people would earn the money. They announced it and everybody's like woo hoo hoo. That's awesome. Well you tell them that you made him famous now on our radio show. All right well all right all right love you I love your knowledge you're awesome at what you do and keep it up. Thanks Tony good to talk to you in Illinois. That's fun. I know we're airing regularly now on AM 670 The Score in Chicago. Mitch Rosen as the program director it's it was one of the things that I didn't like about there were very few of them but one of the factors that gave me pause when I moved from the weekends where I used to host on Friday Saturday overnight and then Sunday late night because we always had Chicago as part of our list of affiliates and our group of affiliates and such great sports fans and a huge audience in Chicago and then when I took the five night a week job initially we didn't have Chicago they had their own local host he was an icon in Chicago radio and I know many people really miss him um but after putting in another local host and I don't know the reason why but what I do know is that it lasted for a little bit and then they started taking our show overnight and so for that it's I'm grateful again for Mitch Rosen who's the program director that we have a big Chicago audience I have got friends family friends because I was actually born in Peru, Illinois born there we didn't live there for very long but I was born in Peru, Illinois and I know that my mom has a bunch of friends in that area and so many of them are able to tune in and listen when we were the show was airing so yeah good to hear from any of you football fans sports fans in Chicago. Let's talk to Debbie who's in Arizona. Debbie welcome to After Hours. Thank you very much some time ago well I don't remember how long it was after you had lost your penny and you were talking about possibly getting another one yes and what you might name it her you actually said her oh yes because I only have female pets okay well I remembered that and I came up with a name for you you did don't say Kaitlyn Clark oh lord no it would just be weird especially if it was yeah it would have to be a very tall slender dog all right what do you got two cents two cents and you you know for penny one penny in the penny oh no that's that's sweet I don't know if I could call my dog two cents but I do like the tie but you actually could spell it to where nobody would know what it meant that's true what about a different coin nickel quarter no that wouldn't be fair to penny that's true that is true oh I like the idea of coming up with some way to tie her name back to penny well that's right you could spell it like t u c e n t z or c e n z and you take her to the to the doctor and they go what does that mean you go well you know you'd have to know yeah it's uh it's one of those that we made up in honor of penny you know yeah yeah honoring someone but anyway I'm gonna come up with something like that that sounds maybe a not that one necessarily but some way because here's what I did I going back my very first cat that I owned on my own as an adult her name was cookie and so after I lost cookie I adopted the cat that I have currently and I wanted to name her after a cookie something that would honor my original cat and so it came up with sugar for sugar cookie and so she's still around and now I like the tide I don't know how quickly Bob and I will adopt another dog we have talked about it I'm big into adopting because there's so many dogs out there that need homes and I've at least one time looked but it's been a little bit painful so we think probably something again in the shepherd family a bigger dog because we both like bigger dogs and maybe maybe mid-september late september somewhere in there we'll think about it seriously well I sure I'm sure that she will find you yeah I've had probably 90 of my dogs and cats have been rescued yeah me too my entire long life yeah oh that's awesome I don't know that I my mom is and her husband they've had two purebred Aussies actually the the one that's left they had two twins but the one that's left just turned 12 on Wednesday so she's still trucking as well I had a chance to see her when I was in Houston last week but she's a purebred mostly though we've had hybrids well I think the only purebreds I've had were well no I guess I've had several mostly rottweilers but I'm a rottweiler they're handsome dogs wonderful animals but anyway I just wanted to share that with you and wish you a wonderful night I appreciate that Debbie thanks so much for thinking on my behalf and on Penny's behalf too yeah it's it's a reminder sometimes that even though I'm here every night except for vacation and I feel like I'm constantly talking about my life and putting elements of my personal life out there on social media I'm still getting questions asking me how Penny is doing even though she's been gone now for nearly five months I recognize that people aren't always tuned in or that they do different shifts or as much as I feel like I I give lots of updates or I share lots of stories and have told people if you ever wonder what's going on with me you can always check out my blog because I do a lot more about my personal life in my blog and I did write a sweet tribute to Penny going back when I lost her I think it was early March and now actually working on a blog post that is a combination of tribute to my grandmother's and wedding photos but that's all I'm going to tell you it'll come out sometime before the month is over I promise we just had a lot on our plates but July is the perfect month to finally share a few wedding photos for that reason so if you don't know about my blog yet you'll want to check it out if you're one of the curious ones who keeps asking about wedding photos or did until you finally gave up all right you can find the link by the way on either of my socials so at a law radio or on our facebook page hey so I have a question for you yes bringing up the dog things so my fiance's family just got a dog not too long ago and he had a name that ties back to their first dog was your penny did you ever bring it to around any other dogs like was he friendly in it or was she friendly with any other dogs like where she had like a best friend no not a best friend she had a best friend who was a cat but but not a dog until we did well my husband came with a dog and so for the last few months of penny's life there was another dog in the house I was gonna say because they named it after their previous dog's friend from like going like a kennel date and it was like oh come on buddy love this dog and it was named beau and now their new back that's really sweet well penny did have a bff but she was a cat but they were together for quite a while let me think I got her yeah they were together for eight years what's the name is ellie named my next dog ellie well true it ties back in that's something I like that that's what they did actually I do like that that's sweet if I'm gonna tie in and uh kind of a throwback to penny awesome I can't be thinking about it now though because it's I'm not ready to adopt a new dog and that that well that might get me closer if I come up with a name let's talk basketball instead so I can distract myself uh what I mentioned last hour is that lebron steph and bead seems like that's going to be the core starting unit for team usa we're seeing it more and more and now the americans are three and oh and they're tuned up for the olympics I like those three guys in the start line we've been looking at other you know other guys around them and we obviously have a lot of great options but I do like those three guys it's a lot of fun you know like all the guys on our team everybody's here for a reason we're trying to win trying to bring our best selves to what we're doing the fact that uh we're I mean we're such high IQ guys we try to just make the right play and uh and utilize each other's strengths so steph actually started out hot hot hot I don't know how hot it is in Abu Dhabi right now but I dare say it probably is in the united arab emirates well he was matching the temperature he scored the first nine points for team usa and then had 18 points in his first 11 minutes on the court against serbia and so this is nikola jokic and it was a back and forth game for quite a while uh team usa had trying to think when they had their big run it was probably late third quarter and then in the fourth quarter able to finish up with their second strength which is I mean it's a pretty impressive when you consider it's Anthony Edwards Anthony Davis bam out of bio Tyrese Halliburton and Devin Booker and that's your second unit it's a depth that most countries cannot match and that likely will make them a formidable foe in addition to the superstars they have on their team so to see bam out of bio and Anthony Davis on the court together the athleticism the length the reach not to mention Anthony Edwards who continues to score really well for team usa but that starting group Lebron staff Joelle Embiid it seems as though that's the core around which Steve Kerr will build and remember Joelle Embiid is not that far removed from a serious knee injury and so he is out there they're kind of navigating his minutes seeing how he feels it does get physical on the international stage too but he had a double double yesterday 16 points and 11 rebounds and says the knee is holding up my knees don't work I'm still getting back into it slowly I can't tell you know the start but as the game goes along starting to find my groove so I just gotta keep you know building up and but sure by the time we get to Paris it'll be a different story just seeing Derek White get his first minutes in that game against Serbia as well and really the defense and the interior we had talked about it because you've got teams internationally that are trying to exploit what they see as a weakness with team usa in the paint but with Anthony Davis in there and he was he obviously knows Jokic well who doesn't especially if you play in the western conference so he's in there and he's working that defense against Jokic you also have a bam out of bio who can clean up on the glass who's got great athleticism he had 17 points and hit a bunch of a bunch of threes as well in the game against Serbia obviously watching film talking over you know and uh doing a small thing in practice really trying to make it cohesive make it flow I feel like we still got more but you know we're we're advancing right now yeah no doubt they're doing what they need to do which is find a rhythm find the best units that work together it's not about giving everyone playing time it's about winning the gold medal but you also want to make sure that you're utilizing the right talents at the right times and Steve Kerr is pretty good at that if you remember some of the changes he made when he first took over with the golden state warriors um elevating draymond green was the big one using draymond green is the centerpiece of that warrior's defense going small right small ball was the change that he made really and they executed to perfection in going to five straight nba finals remember they set a record for most wins in a regular season as well so yeah what Steve Kerr has been so good at in his career is figuring out how to use the pieces and how they best work together and now that's a challenge but I still say for team USA on the men's side they're in much better shape because they've been together now for several weeks and they're traveling they're playing games together uh they may know each other from all-star games but it's different when you're playing together on a game or on a team with games that matter toward a gold medal it won't be that same luxury for the women's team so we'll see we'll see how they fare in France when they get there but yeah to watch them play the red white and blue and actually in watching Steph Curry start out hot hot hot hit a bunch of threes early on the crowd there in Abu Dhabi was big time into Steph Curry so kind of like watching a fever game on the road now and yet half the fans in the opposing arena are rooting for Kaitlyn Clark so amazing stuff for team USA for Steph Curry for those of you who enjoy seeing these guys on an all-star roster in which they actually play defense right so they're getting closer to the Paris Olympics the opening ceremonies are a week away now and meanwhile we're getting set to now start to see all of these different teams converge on France because they're depending upon where they're coming from they're going to want to get adjusted sometimes you've got events that even start like before the opening ceremonies and they're kind of spread out in parts of France but Paris being the centerpiece all right straight ahead really cool story I want to make sure I don't miss it about an MLS debut for a 14 year old what try to remember what you were doing at 14 years old and yet these days athletes especially if they have talent and they're identified early they are prepared it seems like more and more for what they'll face even as teenagers at the pro level it's yeah it's impressive on twitter x twix all of those things just find it at a law radio and then our facebook page two it's after hours with Amy Lawrence we all belong outside we're drawn to nature whether remember the name freddie i do well that record stood for a long time he was the youngest player to ever debut with an mls club this is senior mls but the same mls that messy plays in although not right now uh so cabin sullivan breaks freddy adieu's record because he got on the field for the philadelphia union in their mats against the new england revolution wednesday and this was his first time ever uh he was able to get out there experience it for the first time you can hear the fans behind him too he actually is i guess star in waiting for man city which is english premiere league but he can't play for man city until he turns 18 so for now he has to settle quote unquote i'm being snarky for mls but uh it's kind of neat though to think about the future of u.s soccer if cabin sullivan would play for the red white and blue except we've been hearing all about the young americans the youth movement for the red white and blue for years now and it has yet to materialize maybe he's the answer here's something else that's pretty sweet about this cabin plays alongside his brother quinn who is a member of the union and quinn scored on wednesday in the victory over the rev so i i love that so one of my favorite elements of sports and we're getting more and more of it these days where you have brothers who play where you have father son professional athlete combos although lebron and brawny could end up being the first ones ever to play in the same game but for instance vladimir guerrero and now his son vlad jr love that we've got a bunch of generational baseball families and we've got a bunch of brothers or siblings that play even actually sisters who were playing together in the wnba when they came out but uh yeah the brother the brother brother or cousin combinations uh in the nfl in major league baseball uh the even thinking about the new jersey devils and the the two hughs brothers great stuff i eat the family lines up those are cool it's after hours with amy lawrence so we were talking about star wars movies earlier there isn't a new one coming out this year there is a new one in the works apparently featuring ray but we'll see how that goes uh however for date night on saturday my husband knows that i love imax apparently the new twister movie well it's actually called twisters so the original was twister the new one is twisters and i've read that it's a standalone sequel so there are none of the original characters though james pakston's son is in it if you know twister it was an iconic movie with helen hutton james pakston and it was filmed in parts of oklahoma where i used to live and work going back a long time ago early in my career anyway this new one is twisters and it is considered a sequel so a whole new cast of characters it's playing an imax this weekend near us and he wants to go see it which i think would be amazing but do you ever get nervous going to see a sequel especially when it doesn't it's standalone and it doesn't feature any of the original characters i'm a little nervous it's gonna suck and that we're gonna go into imax and really the only thing that will be impressive is kind of the production of these twisters but that it won't be a good movie so that's my fear anybody know anything about it other than the fact that it's a sequel i did see that glenn powell is in it and he's all the rage these days he was actually this kind of fun i interviewed glenn powell going back to super bowl week so radio row in miami in late january of 2020 the movie which was the new top gun movie it was supposed to come out that summer obviously got tabled and did not come out because of covid instead didn't get released until what was it two years later i think it came out and maybe it was 22. uh anyway the the movie was a huge hit and glenn powell had a terrific role in it now and and since then what's the the rom-com he did uh i can't stand you no what what was the and shoot i can't i actually i've actually haven't seen it but it was with sydney swinney i think is her name and it was a huge smash uh so i'm sorry i don't remember that name of the name of the movie it's not really my genre but i know he was in that and it was it was just one of the biggest movies of the last year what's the name of it colton anyone but you anyone but you i was close thinking about 10 things i hate about you yes anyone but you that was the name of it and it was humongous maybe someday i'll get around to seeing it i'm not like i said i'm not sure it's my cup of tea but now glenn powell is in twisters so for that reason alone i think it must be good because he's right now he's hot he's a real hot and i don't mean hot as in what he looks like i mean pretty much whatever he does turns to gold these days uh so yeah my husband wants to go see it i think we're gonna try an imax and if nothing else i'll get to see parts of oklahoma again because i did google where it was filmed and this is what i saw online uh this is google search filmed in and around oklahoma city in the american midwest plenty of real life locations were destroyed during the making of twisters oh i'm sorry that i that's not funny as in they were destroyed but having lived in oklahoma having actually chased tornadoes for a couple of years when i was out near the panhandle of oklahoma and and seeing firsthand the devastation in places like midwest city and oklahoma city where they've had multiple f5s come through it's no joke i actually had to hide from a tornado once that was a mile wide at its base and it was coming straight at my apartment where i lived in oklahoma city and it went to go across a body of water and as it did a small lake in north oklahoma city it took a right-hand turn and went a completely different direction but yeah we my boyfriend and i at the time we were getting ready to hide in the bathtub with a with a mattress over the top of us my cats i had to chase them down in my own apartment and they were in crates because it was pretty scary my mom's freaking out there were no cell phones then so she's calling me on the phone mom i i can't leave if you don't get off the phone it was one of those kind of deals so i do not make light of twisters or tornadoes they're very deadly many parts of the south of the midwest know about tornadoes and twisters but the the fact that they used sets and and used parts of oklahoma and destroyed a bunch of stuff in making the movie i can imagine that uh it was a lot it was a lot of debris that they had to both fabricate or or uh put out there these sets that that had to be set up for for this movie especially with when everything's bigger and badder now in 2024 even if they are still stealing ideas from the 80s and 90s see what i mean colton the 80s and 90s are back uh not a whole lot new under the sun these days and entertainment seems to be more regurgitating ideas from the past 30 40 years ago you'd have to like what other ideas you're going to come up with just to be honest what are you coming up with all right you can find us online at alaw radio or on our facebook page again really cool for kevin sullivan keep your your eyes and your ears out for him someday he'll be a man city star but he's got a few years of high school yet that he has to navigate when i was 14 i was a freshman in high school all right that's about all i remember i was a nerd i was a total nerd i played a lot of sports but i was also a huge nerd so there's that it wasn't until my sophomore year in high school that i decided i wanted to pursue sports radio as a career before that actually i was uh really into accounting but also really wanted to go to the naval academy in anapolis and then radio and then i became a radio junkie and that was the end of that thanks so much for hanging out with us we're morphing into a thursday morning the open championship is already underway and is airing on usa network so we're we're deep into the first round already with the time change we'll give you an update straight ahead plus you know nfl training camps are underway as are these sec big 12 media days for college football we're getting close to football all around which i know floats your boat it's after hours with amy lawrence and i promised you an update on the open championship which is well into its first round now and actually i have it up in studio it's on usatv i think both mornings it starts the coverage begins on tv it's prior to that it's on peacock but it begins on tv at 1am pacific 4am eastern and can i tell and can i tell you it looks frigid there they are not only battling the wind and what appears to be some mist or some rain off the water in royal true in scotland but they're also battling the cold yeah it does not look comfortable but this is what you can expect the open championship it's it's known not just for the link style golf but also known for the weather conditions that can really affect the play even in the month of july rory mcelroy you know he's northern ire well he's from northern ireland he's irish and he grew up playing link style golf anybody who played in the british aisles did and so he was asked about getting used to what they will see this week at royal trune familiar again with you know links conditions links turf uh green speeds um you know obviously you know we play our majority of our golf in the states and green surfaces that are quite different to to here so um just trying to get i guess react acclimated to to that um not that you know obviously grew up play playing a lot of links golf but you know when you only come back to play you know once or twice a year it just takes you a little time to to adapt um but yeah it's been going well got my first look at the golf course this morning early um and yeah it's uh you know it's it's basically a a teal of two nines on this course rory will tee off just after five o'clock eastern so that's coming up in about 20 minutes or so maybe 25 minutes and remember he was last standing on the 18th green of a major at the u.s open missing a his second short putt in the last three holes and coughing up what was a fairly comfortable sizable lead in the final few holes of that u.s open he was so close to winning his fifth major it's been 10 years uh well reported he did perform well in the scottish open which was kind of his run-up to this open championship similar style and as he talks about getting comfortable again since regardless of where you're from in the world in the world most often if you're on the pga tour you're playing the majority of your tournaments in the united states and even though i actually golfed for a while at a course in newport it's a link style golf it's on the atlantic ocean it's really hard you have these these bunkers that have walls to them it's it's the the rough to the fescue grasses which can make it so difficult to even find a ball that's a couple of inches off of the fairway or off of the first cut of rough really challenging and yet it's beautiful and it's rugged and obviously can battle the conditions as well if you listen to the show for any length of time even if this is just your first year you might know the name matt adams uh he's fairways of life and golf channel well he was the gm of the course in newport that i used to golf at and so that's how i met him and now we're both into national media careers which is kind of fun he's always such a great friend and he used to let me just go out there and lose as many golf balls as i could in an afternoon when they were busy it's after hours with amy lawrence sean is listening in maryland sean welcome to the show hey um i was calling when he's talking about the twister yeah um bill paxson if they want to do a remake of a movie do weird science and have him come back as chet you remember you remember chet uh i don't actually i don't remember the movie i don't think i remember that character specifically oh my goodness they the the two kids like they did like a frankenstein thing and building their own woman building their own woman and um and bill paxson was the big brother and he was a real jerk well the when it was kelly lebrox and when they got done bringing her to life she was hey she had like powers and she turned him into a big steaming pile of taco it was you you have to see it it was funny i swear and you need a remake of that yes gotcha all right well for now you might have to settle for twisters yeah i just might have to do that this weekend yeah i think we're going to too actually just because in imax we feel like it'll be pretty damn cool oh yes but will you enjoy your weekend thanks sean you too according to universal pictures as they bring back this concept and it's a standalone sequel is how they're billing it uh twisters hits the big screen nearly three decades after the original blew away audiences uh let's say nearly 500 million dollars in global ticket sales not adjusted for inflation that's actually a caveat they have to put in these columns and with these numbers these days it was a huge hit at the time they're saying that it's a new chapter in the story of obsessive storm chasers who want to harness science to better understand these forces of nature and this is the hollywood reporter so i'm i'm reading out of there but they call glenn powell man of the moment it stars man of the moment glenn powell so for that reason maybe it's worth watching but i just think twisters in imax yeah it might be worth seeing anyway yeah so i'll let you go and look it up but you have to tell me if you plan to see it if you're interested in seeing it because i think that is going to be our date night on saturday at a law radio is where you can find me on twix also on our facebook page uh as we're talking about the open championship they say you've already got a bunch of golfers who are out there and then many more to come bryson deshambo us open winner is on the first hole himself and so he's just getting underway keegan bradley the us is it rider not rider cup captain the us shoot i forgot what team he's the captain of oh not rider cup which what's the one the america i forgot the name of it now we were just talking about it last night for heaven's sakes that's how quickly things go in and out of my head keegan bradley it is rider cup always go with your first answer why do i feel like such a weirdo now sorry about that uh yes he's the rider cup captain but not eliminating himself from being part of the rider cup team though he says he won't give himself a captain's pick which is very convoluted so yeah sorry about that strike that from the record keegan bradley tees off next hour as well you don't get phil mickelson and tiger woods until much later in the round so they will be early on friday because they're a little bit later on this thursday opening round but yeah the leaders right now well there is one his name is young han song and he's at minus four you've got a handful of guys that are under par including guys like adam scott who uh you may have heard his name before justin thomas actually is minus one but for the most part a lot of guys at even and plus one even now plus two plus three plus four i have a feeling that this course is going to be wreaking havoc just because the conditions uh they're looking really tough that song just actually dropped the shot so now he's down to minus three so we'll keep you posted yeah final major of the golf season uh even as they've retooled this schedule i kind of don't like it i i wish we had a major a little bit later in the year but now that they've retooled it and tweaked the schedule this is what we've got uh with the with the golf world including golf golf in the olympics right and tennis in the olympics too so that uh is i guess a way that you can get your fix if you're missing it try to think if uh i've even heard who's on the american squad uh for the olympics that's it's not a real high profile sport i think for the olympics tennis definitely is you got some of the the best and brightest who want to win gold medals um but in terms of the the golf it doesn't feel like there's a lot of buzz around it i know we saw it wait did they take it out of the olympics because i haven't heard anything about it i'm gonna these are all things that i need to know before the olympics start out right golf olympics 2024 now we've got it click here for the schedule where what are the new sports in the 2024 olympics surfing sport climbing skateboarding breaking for new olympics oh yeah there is definitely golf in these olympics because we've got nelly korda who won the gold medal in tokyo who's back and she's headlining for team usa huh i'm gonna have to get ready before the opening ceremonies in case you're interested it's after hours with amy lawrence here's why april chose to vaccinate her child i think actually meeting someone who was not vaccinated and now has a lifelong struggle with a childhood disease really cemented for me that it's super important that we as parents continue to vaccinate our children talk to your pediatrician or visit y vaccines.com brought to you by merc look around what do you see cars lots of them and guess what they're probably on autotrader whether you're into
