The Edmonton Oilers are heading to the Stanley Cup final, with Connor McDavid leading the team. Meanwhile, Micah Parsons, a Dallas Stars player, has been named president of Bleacher Report Gridiron, a digital sports publisher. The NHL season has been filled with exciting moments, including the Oilers' journey to the final and the Stars' playoff run.

I always feel a little guilty when producer Jay starts this final hour of the show with music like that, because there are people who are waking up or still shaking the cobwebs out, or maybe they're not awake at all. And I don't know how many people still have the clock alarms, the radio alarms that go off. But even so, if you're just now kind of starting to get moving, if you're still drinking coffee, you're wondering, where is my coffee? I put it down somewhere.

I can't find it now. You're a little bit groggy and you're listening to the radio. Thank you. And this is what you hear. Oh, dear.

That will give you a headache. Time to go. Monday morning. Let's go. Time to rock. Jay has none such sympathy for you at all.

Never had a cup of coffee in my life. I don't know if I believe it, but also it might behoove someone, maybe one of the, maybe one of the Mannings who could convince him to just try coffee. If he's never tried it, just try it for us on the Monday night Mannings. That would be an incredible bit.

Because he's now with the Mannings every Monday night that they do their broadcast, their alternate broadcast to Monday night football. So yeah, I'm looking forward to that. I think it's gonna be a lot of fun. But yeah, someone's got to get the man to drink some coffee. Could you imagine what it'd be like if he did drink coffee though? He's got all this energy, just goes and goes and goes. He works a lot, or did when he was coaching. I'm not sure how much effort he'll put into the broadcast, but I would assume it'd be the same type of meticulous preparation.

Or maybe, just maybe he doesn't need it because he's already forgotten more about football than most of the human race will ever know. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence. Good morning. I'm sorry if we're supposed to be apologizing. It's a Monday. It's the first week of June.

What? And there's a lot happening this week, next week. Getting ready to crown champions in hoops and hockey. We now have the matchups in both cases. And we don't have Dallas Stars and Dallas Mavericks both pursuing titles in the championship round.

And we'll get to the hockey. Mavericks survive, the Stars do not. But I was kind of wondering, with the Rangers being World Series champions, not to mention they have a brand new ballpark that's only been open a couple of years.

And this changes every few years or so. But is Dallas the current it city in sports? I don't know because NFL drives the bus. We know that for sure. So if your NFL team is not in a great spot and they obviously got blasted by Jordan Love and the Packers early in the playoffs last year, forget that Dak Prescott had an MVP type season.

Forget that Micah Parsons is a superstar in many different arenas. In fact, did you hear? He's a new president of, don't tell me, it's Bleacher Report Media or Bleacher Report Digital. He's actually got a job outside of football. He wants to work in media when he's done. He already has a very successful podcast on the edge.

Micah Parsons on the edge with all those crazy sound effects. Yeah, he's a lot of fun to listen to. He's one of my favorite new podcasts. But yeah, he's been named the president of Bleacher Report Audio or something along those lines.

Bleacher Report Digital. How will the man have time to do both jobs during the season? Well, he's not going to OTAs, so he's got time. Right? It's so funny how annoyed coaches get about the fact that they keep getting questions over voluntary OTAs. You do. So yeah, Mike McCarthy had to answer the question last week of, oh, I know we have it.

Where is it? Okay, Jay's looking for it. He had to answer the question about Mike McCarthy or about Micah Parsons not being at OTAs. And so yeah, he kind of speaks for the league. John Harbaugh, same thing. Mike McDaniel, same thing. Just kind of getting questions about why their star players aren't at voluntary workouts.

I'm not doing attendance. Yeah, we try to have some lightness to it. I'm not going to come up here and talk about one player, especially when there's 98% of the guys are here. Micah looks to be in really good shape, but it's a new defense, so we have work to do. He's engaged.

We'll be ready when it's time. So I have confidence in that. Okay, so Micah Parsons, the football player, and now Micah Parsons, president of the number one digital sports publisher in the NFL. It's Bleacher Report Gridiron. Yeah, so he partnered with Bleacher Report to do the edge with Micah Parsons. That's his podcast. He'll have another season coming up. It's very popular, but also he's added the title of president of Bleacher Report Gridiron.

It's the number one digital sports publisher on NFL Sundays. I'm not exactly sure what his responsibilities will be. I mean, wouldn't the president need to like post content on NFL Sundays? Can you imagine? He gets out of his locker room. He goes through treatment, post game, whatever, and then right away starts talking about the game. That would be some really scintillating content. Cold tub chaps.

In the ice bath. He is the first current pro athlete to hold a leadership title at a sports media company, and so he's going to collaborate with BR Gridiron to develop content strategy, launch new shows, and also merchandise and logos. They've got two and a half million followers on their different platforms on social, so I can imagine having him, not only his name, image, and likeness, so to speak, but just the star power that he brings. I just don't know when he's going to have time to do all this collaborating, but maybe it's no different than Draymond Green, who hosts his podcast, or anybody else who does a podcast. This seems like kind of a full-time job. I mean, good on him if he can do it, and it sounds like a great opportunity, but that seems like a lot of work. He also has worked on Bleacher Report draft shows and other shows. I would think that during the season, for the most part, they're picking his brain. It's brainstorming ideas, kind of creative sessions, but mostly his podcast, and then they're using his name and saying, hey, look, we've got Micah Parsons.

He's still active in the NFL. Yeah, there can be a symbiotic relationship there, if you will. I think it could be. Okay, all of that, because I was asking whether or not Dallas is the current IT Sports city. I think they'd have more of a case if the Stars had made it to the Stanley Cup final, but having the Mavericks there for the first time since 2011, first final since 2011, certainly have a great matchup with the Boston Celtics. Should be a lot of star power there. The Stars did get to the Western Conference finals, though after being up 2-1 against Edmonton. Oh, and then two goals in Game 4, from that point on, it really was a much more of a lopsided series for the Oilers, and we'll talk about them here momentarily, but the Rangers as defending World Series champions, new ballpark. I was gonna say the Dallas Wings and the WNBA, but right now, there's only a handful of teams that are below 500, and they're one of them.

I was actually doing some research, Jay, because I feel like in advance of our big interview this afternoon, I need to be prepared, obviously. You know me, I go out of my way to prepare for all of our guests, but I didn't realize that there were only, I think it's 12 teams in the WNBA. I knew it was a limited number, but I didn't realize it was only 12. Now they're getting ready to add Toronto, and they're gonna need to add a 14th because you just can't have an odd number. Also, in a lot of elevators, you can't even go to floor 13, so people are superstitious, you can't have 13 teams in the league. You might ruin all of the excitement and the attention from Kaitlin Clark by having 13 teams. You won't, but just, you might. Just don't take that chance.

Don't speak it into existence, as Jay would say. Yeah, so the Chicago Sky and the Phoenix Mercury right now are sitting in the last two playoff spots. Eight of the 12 go to the playoffs. Anyway, two of them have records below 500, and then the Wings are on the outside looking in. So I was gonna say the Dallas Wings would be part of that because they did make the playoffs a year ago, but I guess when they have the fever in town, then they're a draw.

I don't know, what other city would you put up there as the it city in sports right now? I think New York was on a good run for the past few months with the Knicks really hot and the Rangers winning the president's trophy, but they both kind of crumbled now, so they can't beat it. The Giants suck, and the Jets had Aaron Rodgers for all, sorry Jay.

No, I didn't say anything. The Jets had Aaron Rodgers for all of four snaps last year, so I think if we're gonna go, hey look what the Rangers and Knicks did, then it's easy to go back to hey look what the Stars and Mavericks are doing. The Yankees are the best team in baseball. It's true, Yankees, but the Mets maybe counterbalance that. You might be right with that one. So I don't know, that'd be a fun question.

It changes all the time, it's a fluid situation. It was Tampa, what? Last year, two years ago? Or Miami, would you say South Florida? Miami was last year, South Florida with the Panthers and the Heat in the finals. Right, and then also the Dolphins having a real good season with Mike McDonald. Daniel. Sorry, I don't know why I said McDonald. It's a Monday morning, a Monday morning McDaniel, and it's not football season no matter what the NFL might tell you.

It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence on Twix at ALOL radio and then also on our Facebook page. Good to hear from many of you Canadian hockey fans. Why? Well because it has happened. The Oilers are hoping to end the Stanley Cup drought for the nation of Canada, but finally getting back to a Stanley Cup final, so that's a big step. Dry subtle coming off the goal line. Finds McDavid heading for the net, around Steele, toe drag, backhanders score. What a sensational goal by the captain, Connor McDavid. It's 1-0 Edmonton in game six.

Spectacular. Up top, McDavid took it from Hyman, in over the line, now feeds Hyman, quick shot, score. Power play goal. Edmonton takes a 2-0 lead.

Zach Hyman from Connor McDavid with his 14th game and this crowd on its feet. That's our friend Jack Michaels on Oilers radio and he actually is expecting a repeat visit to After Hours because we did have a conversation. He was joking about the fact that we really only reach out to him once a year. It's been quite a while. I've been waiting for the call. I mean, he was teasing us, but I did say, well, okay, we'll get a repeat visit, a twofer, if the Oilers make the Stanley Cup final.

So there you go, Jack. I think he might use all of his energy in making the final call alone, but yeah, the Oilers get a pair of power play goals in the first period. And unlike a lot of this series, that two goal lead actually stands up.

And so they have their goals early. It stays that way 2-0 until midway through the third period when the Stars are finally able to get something past Stewart Skinner. But what we saw with the Oilers is that they were just all about the defense. They had only 10 shots in this game.

It's a closeout game. Only 10 shots on goal. They had more blocks in front of Stewart Skinner than they had shots. So they were really working on just trying to prevent whatever they could that prevent defense, if you will. The one that people rage against in the NFL is so funny. How often it prevents you from winning.

Does it actually prevent anything? But yes, they were in a bit of a prevent defense where they were just focusing on that side of it. They had the goals they needed early. They took care of business on the power play and they just were trying to hang on for dear life in front of Skinner. La Bamba being the victory song for the Oilers and Connor McDavid who had a goal and an assist set after the game.

It's as loud as the loudest he's ever heard. Rogers place just erupting as the Oilers go back to their first cup final since 2006. But they haven't won the Stanley Cup since the days right after Wayne Gretzky departed. They haven't won a Stanley Cup since 1990.

Last and this happens every year in June. We bring up the stat every year and if I don't bring it up, our Canadian listeners bring it up. The last time a Stanley Cup team came from Canada, meaning a winner, a Stanley Cup winner came from Canada, it was 1993.

So it's been a while. Now we were asking the question earlier, how much of Canada, even fans of other franchises, this is their national pastime, how much of Canada will be rooting for the Oilers even if that's not their natural proclivity? So someone told Zach Hyman post-game that the city of Ottawa has volunteered to be Oilers fans and to jump in on the Oilers bandwagon.

Well I don't know if Toronto is cheering for us, but it's nice here. Listen, hockey means so much to Canada and to Canadians. It's been a long time since a Canadian team has won the cup. It would mean a lot to Canadians, whether they're Oilers fans or not I'm sure.

Some pride over the Americans, but that's pretty cool to hear. There's going to be pressure playing in the Stanley Cup final no matter where your team is from. Obviously we're a Canadian team, we've got great Canadian fans and it feels good to maybe unite the country a little bit and have something to bring people together.

That's what sports is all about is bringing people together and hopefully we're doing that for Canadians across the country. That's Connor McDavid who is an Ontario native himself. We did hear from a Maple Leafs fan earlier who said he would cheer for the Oilers to win the cup just because it's been so long and he says the Stanley Cup rightfully belongs in Canada. Alright, well I guess if it's west coast or west as opposed to eastern Canada and you're a Maple Leafs fan. And then we heard from one Oilers fan who has been living in Toronto since middle school she moved there?

8th grade. So yeah, she and her brother, they were transplants and they refused to become Maple Leafs fans. They've held on as Oilers fans this entire time and finally get a little bit of vindication themselves.

So yeah, this is neat. It's awesome that we finally get Connor McDavid on the game's biggest stage, Leon Drysidel as well, the two of them. They obviously have raised the level of play not just of their teammates but each other. They play so well together and each of them is more formidable and has been more successful with the other one alongside.

So I love that relationship there. It's great to see teammates like that. We could give you examples in hockey. We could give you examples in other sports.

Think Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce and how much better each of them is because of their relationship and the time they spent together. So yeah, it's going to be a lot of fun to finally see McDavid on the Stanley Cup final stage. He was number one draft pick in 2015 and the Oilers fans feel like it's been a long time coming.

He actually said the same thing. They've been poised to break through to this final for quite a while and he feels like it took quite a road to get there. There's been lots of growing pains for sure. Lots of lessons along the way and obviously it feels good. It feels great to be in this position.

This was always part of the plan and feels good to be here today. One thing you may not know or remember about the Oilers season, we'll get to that a little bit later on, because they were not always the best team in the Western Conference and they didn't always have a great record. There's a reason why they did not have home ice advantage as they were going through the Western Conference Finals and even against Vancouver they didn't have home ice advantage in that one either. So yeah, their story this season alone is quite a journey. But Connor McDavid, Leon Drysidil, Chris Knoblauch who took over and replaced a fired coach earlier in the season, they're able to get past the Dallas Stars. And yeah, Jamie Benn, he's been around the NHL for so long. They had the second best record this season.

Had a chance, but once the Stars were up 2-1 and then had the early lead in Game 4, really at that point the series shifted dramatically and Edmonton was able to win the next three games. I love these guys. They're all a great group. It was a lot of fun all year. It's unfortunate that it's come to an end. These teams that lose in these moments, you see them over time. The Vegas's, the Florida's, the Tampa's, I mean unfortunately you gotta lose a lot to win in this league.

I don't know why it's like that, but you know, learn some lessons, keep this taste and get ready for next year. I love that from Tyler Sagan. You have to lose a lot to win in this league. And really that's just life. That's a life lesson. It's sports, yes, but it's also any other career that you're pursuing.

I would raise my hand and say that's how it's been for me in radio. You have to lose a lot before you can win. And he points to teams like the Florida Panthers who were there a year ago and lost to Vegas. Remember Vegas in its first season as a franchise lost to Washington. And so sometimes, and while we're talking about hoops, how about the Boston Celtics?

They were there two years ago. They lost to the Warriors. They fell to the heat last year in the Eastern Conference Finals. Now they have a chance at redemption. But it's pretty cool that we'll have a Stanley Cup final matchup that features a team that hasn't won a cup since 1990 for a nation that's starving to keep the cup in house, so to speak, in Canada where it resides at the Hockey Hall of Fame year round. Or the Florida Panthers who've never won a cup in their franchise history. And they've been working toward this all year.

Remember last year they were an eight seed and they took out the Bruins in that seven game series after the Bruins had the historic season. So the Panthers have talked about this now for 12 months. This is the goal.

We're going to start working now in June of 23 so that we can make sure next time we don't come up short as they did against Vegas. So yeah, two pretty cool stories. Teams coming from different directions and actually this is kind of a fun nerd alert. That was very high pitched. Nerd alert!

That was a little better. I did not do the math on this, but apparently it's a Stanley Cup final that pits two teams farther apart geographically in terms of miles than any other Stanley Cup final in history. That's a lot of travel.

That's a lot of frequent flyer miles. I hope they get upgraded. Good that they got a week to rest up.

Yeah, right. It doesn't start till Saturday. I was sure it would start before the NBA finals, but it doesn't. They have it set for Saturday even with no game sevens. So we've got hoops on Thursday, hockey on Saturday, and a few days to stew over it.

On Twitter, or Twix as we're trying to call it now just because we like Twix, ALawRadio and also on our Facebook page stumbled upon some stats that will just underscore and I think propel the NFL to continue being the big bad who refuses to go away. I'll explain coming up. Good morning to you. Happy Monday.

CJ will throw on the first play for the Texans steps up, fires deep down the field and caught by Nico Collins at the 2015 10 5 Rock and Roll Touchdown Houston 75 yards on the opening play.

This is after hours with Amy Lawrence. It's not football season. Don't get excited. Although last week we did a poll about gauging the level of of your angst over missing football on a scale of 1 to 1010 had it. That's how much you miss football, even though it's now early June. But it's not there yet, despite the fact that the NFL wants you to believe that the game is year round.

It really is not. That's the Texans Radio Network with Mark Vandermeer. Of course, we're talking about it cities when it comes to football.

Houston is one of those because of the way CJ Stroud, D'Amico Ryans and a young Texans team were able to win the AFC South and make a playoff appearance in early 24. But I only we only come out with that for this reason. It's the time of the year. Two things when we start regurgitating some of the broadcast numbers and viewership numbers from the NFL season, which I'll get to in a second, but also when fans and players rank things like top five quarterbacks. We come up with these conversations in sports radio, but as it turns out, a lot of athletes engage in similar conversations as well.

It's just good fodder in the off season. So this is on the million dollars worth of game podcast in which CJ Stroud, no longer a rookie, was asked to rank his top five NFL QBs. Mahomes, Lamar, myself, Dak, Joey B, he really hurts. Dak, Dak, Dak, Dak. You don't put Dak Prescott in there over Joe Burrow.

Yeah, I got to say last year. He got hurt. Well, we borrowed one of my body, borrowed one of my favorite players.

I'm out of my game after Burrow a little bit. So the conversation is actually kind of fun and the facial expressions. So it's a video podcast to the facial expressions of the guys that he's hanging out with are pretty funny for not, not including Joey B. You hear one of the guys say Joey B.

And he says, I'm going off last year, going off last year. I even modeled part of my game off Joe Burrow, but no Josh Allen? Now, this is kind of funny because he got backlash, CJ, on this million dollars worth of game podcast. He actually updated his list on his Instagram account.

Okay. So he did amend his list. He went with Patrick Mahomes, of course, Lamar Jackson, two time MVP, and then himself as number three.

I like that. I like, I like the confidence, but he also amended number four to include Josh Allen and moved Dak Prescott to five. Left out Jalen Hurts. Hey, I tried to tell you Dak was an MVP candidate last year.

No, like no arguments there. His numbers, the way he led the team. Of course, when you fall flat on your face in the first round of the postseason, when it matters, that kind of goes, but yeah, CJ decided he would add Josh Allen and he would push Dak Prescott down a spot. But the top three, Patrick, Lamar and CJ, they remain the same. So his amended list again is just based off of only guys who played last year. He said based off last year. Yeah. So kind of funny, like I said, it's the time of the year when we rank things in the NFL. Justin Harvard.

Nah. I mean, it's hard though to say, I know individually he's a great quarterback. Are you kidding? No one's gonna pick a Detroit Lions QB. I'm just thinking about naming QBs.

But he was also an MVP candidate last year. The numbers that I mentioned though, this is kind of fun. The TV broadcast numbers are out for the 23-24 season, which essentially follows the school year from September to May. And the top two most watched TV shows of the last broadcast season were in fact NFL games, NFL broadcasts.

So here are the numbers. Sunday Night Football on NBC, the most watched TV show of the last broadcast season, averaging just shy of 20 million viewers per week. That does include playback, though a lot of live sports, they don't get a ton of a bump from playback.

Up 9% though from the year before. So Sunday Night Football crushing it. And Monday Night Football, now you may remember it moved a bunch of its games to ABC this year. Not all of them, they're still on ESPN, but a lot of times a simulcast on ABC. So they got the bump from that averaging 11.7 million weekly viewers.

Better than any of the non-scripted or reality shows out there. Football still drives the buzz, baby. It is a cash cow.

And they were up in younger numbers too, or younger ages I should say. The younger demographic 18-49, which is why the NFL keeps pushing its streaming platform and the migration is streaming because they've got a bunch of young fans and they feel like that's a way that they can expand not just the revenue but the fan base. Alright, straight ahead, speaking of fan base, he's got an enormous fan base. Our friend John Kincaid from 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia. I mean, when we reached out to him, it's because the Phillies were the best team in Major League Baseball.

This is After Hours with Amy Lawrence. On Phillies radio, it did go into extra innings, but the Phillies didn't end the weekend the way that they wanted. However, still pacing the field in the National League as we round ourselves into June.

How is that possible? We're actually going into the month where the days are the longest. It feels like the first couple months of the baseball season went by in a flash.

It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence and we're really excited to welcome our friend, my longtime colleague John Kincaid, who's getting ready for his Philadelphia morning show on 97.5, The Fanatic. I mean, I was going to ask you about how the Phillies are the best in Major League Baseball. I suppose that's not quite accurate, but what's making them tick right now, John? Oh, they're the best Major League Baseball.

Don't let those New Yorkers tell you differently. Just look at the starting rotation. They're the best team in Major League Baseball and it just starts there every single night for the most part. Last night when you get the Taiwan Walker starts, they just know that those starts are going to be nights where they got a club. They got to score like six runs to try to win the game. But other than that, they know they're getting a supreme effort, whether it be from Wheeler. Right now, Aaron Nola is the guy that's sort of rounding out the four of their starters, which is shocking. It is with Christopher Sanchez. And of course, you know, you've got Ranger Suarez, who is just fantastic coming in that rotation when you've got four guys, sub three.

That's really, really good stuff. You were in Atlanta for a long time. Right now, they're the closest competition to the Phillies in the NL East, but they've lost some key pieces. What kind of staying power do you think the Braves have? Oh, I think they got staying power and I don't trust Alex Anthopoulos as far as I can throw him. I was testing.

I texted him the other day and I'm like, look, I don't trust you. I know you're up to something. I know he's going to go get something to help the Braves try to, you know, bridge the gap, losing Ronald Acuna Jr. the other day to an injury. I think Anthopoulos is one of the most skilled baseball men out there and I know he's up to something. And if anyone learned a lesson from the Mets a few years ago where the Mets were cruising into July, you know, just trouncing the Atlanta Braves and they started talking, they started smelling themselves, they started feeling it and the Braves came back and beat him.

It took 161 of those games to do it, but they came by and got them. Now the Phillies took him out in the postseason, but it was a hell of a comeback. If anybody doubts the Atlanta Braves could push the Phillies to the end, I think that they are sadly mistaken. So the Phillies are going to be on their game and I think Dave Dombrowski will be shopping to try to make sure that he, any perceived weakness, he tries to attack it too. Just listening to a clip from Tyler Sagan of the Dallas Stars in which he says in sports you have to lose a lot before you win.

He's referring to the Stars coming up short again. Well the Phillies, we know they lost in the World Series in 22 to the Astros. Last year, get back to the NLCS, they lose to the Diamondbacks in a seven-game series.

Have they lost enough now for them to get to the point at which they're ready to be World Series champs? Amy, I gotta tell you, this year in spring training, it was an overwhelming talking point that the Phillies were pissed off. That they feel that they had lost a golden opportunity. That they feel that they had had the opportunity to go back to a World Series, correct things last year, and they blew it by losing to the Diamondbacks. And there was this, everybody sort of had the talking point of, we're going to be focused this year, we're not going to get off to a lousy start.

Remember, this is a team that played like 500 ball into Father's Day the last two years and still made it as far as they did. They claimed they were going to come out of the box focused from day one. Well, hell if they didn't do it, you know what I mean?

Like if they backed it up. I got to tell you, my eyes rolled a little bit when I was hearing it in the spring because I'm one of those people who's like, just show me, stop talking about it. And they have shown up every single night, focused, driven, ready to go. And they've got an attitude about them. And one of the things this team loves is there's an energy about them, there's a positivity about them.

They like each other, they get along well, they're feeling the energy and they push each other. And I got to tell you, I think this is as good a baseball team as I've seen from the Phil's since their run with Rollins and Utley and Howard and Cole Hamels back in the day. John Kincaid with us before his morning show on 97.5, The Fanatic, which will start at the top of the hour.

So we're pleased to grab him for a couple of minutes here on After Hours. John, I know the Eagles have only really done practices. It's supposed to be the offseason. But how much would you say the Eagles are a story even with the Phillies playing as well as they are?

Oh, you know what, Amy? The Eagles are always a story here. I mean, you know, if if Jalen Hurts had the runs after Mexico, this is the morning show. I understand that it would be a story in Philadelphia because we have everything. But but I got to tell you, there is some there's some angst when it comes to the Eagles. And that one in seven collapse of last year and collapse should be with a capital C was absolutely not only unexpected, but absolutely inexcusable.

And what happened to them? Now, the coordinators last year, it is appeared were the big problem that Sean Desai and Brian Johnson had no clue of what they were doing. And they took a Super Bowl team and replaced the coordinators with two inexperienced guys. Instead, now they've gone out and gotten Kellen Moore. They've gotten Vic Fangio. And like this week, they will have their first mandatory minicamp since Nick Sirianni has been the head coach. Nick Sirianni runs practice and thinks of practicing as if you're going to a sandals to go like sit on the beach. They practice in pads the least of any NFL team last couple of years.

Very relaxed atmosphere. Well, that's changed. That's changed. I'm in a mandatory minicamp this week. And I don't think Vic Fangio looked at that and said, yeah, that's what I want to do. We're going to practice more. We're going to practice harder. And I am so excited for Kellen Moore to be here, even with that cowboy stank on him. I know what he can do as an offensive coordinator, and I'm thrilled to see what he can do with Devante Smith and AJ Brown and Saquon Barkley.

And can he get Jalen Hurts back to the level that he played two years ago when he went toe to toe with Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl? John, the NFC East games are always scintillating. Great rivalries there. So not thinking about the divisional games, but the rest of the Eagles schedule.

What stands out? I hate the fact that their biggest home game was taken away from them by the NFL because I believe the biggest home game in Dallas and the Eagles. Amy, every year I just look into it and I say, OK, I'm assuming a split.

So I just assume that they're going to split. Neither teams sweep. So I always look at what's the biggest team that's coming into the Lincoln financial field that isn't the Cowboys.

And it's to me, it's the Green Bay Packers. And instead of having that game at Lincoln Financial Field, they're going to play it on a neutral site in Sao Paulo, Brazil, which is ridiculous to me. First of all, it's completely ridiculous that your biggest home game would be this role all of a sudden, this road game, which is supposed to be a home game.

I think it takes the juice away from it. Schedule that game in November or early December in Philadelphia. And I think as a home team, you get a distinct advantage. I don't like that about it, but I love how the Eagles schedule breaks because they've got an easy, easy end of the year. Should they be able to get off to a good start for the games to start the year? I think they should be in a great position to end out the year. They don't get on a plane after December 1st when they fly home. They don't get on a plane from Thanksgiving. So to me, it's a really, really favorable schedule. They will be just having local travel, a lot of home games. It should be really easy at the end if they're in a good position to win. So safe to say, if there's another 1-7 collapse with an easy schedule, Nick Sirianni will not survive.

I got to tell you, Amy, I did not advocate for it, but I'm a little bit shocked that he's here. I thought they were going to pull the trigger because Jeffrey Laurie does not suffer fools well, and I'm not calling Nick Sirianni a fool, but he oversaw, honestly, the worst collapse. The Jets had done it once that was as embarrassing, a 10-1 start to collapse like they did.

Completely unacceptable. And when the coordinators were going off the rails, Nick Sirianni could not take the wheel and save the car from going off the cliff. So to me, now he's got two very, very competent coordinators in there, veteran guys. I have a feeling he'll be in a much better position to succeed this year. But oh, mark my words. I mean, Nick Sirianni is on the clock as of today, believe me. Today, June 3rd.

I like it. Yes, he is on the clock when many camps are going on. Everybody is scrutinizing him. Honestly, he's not that popular here, and I think he should be more popular. He's made the playoffs three years in a row.

He's been to a Super Bowl, but I'm not sure that people truly believe that he's the reason that this team has won, even when he's been the head coach. Our friend John Kincaid is with us, and more than anything that he'll talk about on his radio show, more than anything that's happening in Philly sports, every time I talk to him or we text, I always am so thrilled, again, that you're cancer-free. Now it's been about six months. Yeah, I just got my six months clean, and today I will play golf. Ryan Dawkins has a celebrity golf tournament here in the Philly area for his charity, the Impact Foundation, and I will be playing in that. It will be my first round of golf since cancer, and I'm so excited for it and to be out there and swing the clubs again. And Christina got me new clubs for Christmas, and so I am very, very excited to get out there and swing them.

I've been at the driving range, but just to get out and live my life again is very, very big, and it's very kind to you. I know you always look out for me. I do. How are you feeling? Good? I feel good.

I feel stronger every day. It's a little slower recovery than I would have expected, but look, the hair is on point. Honestly. Of course it is.

The hair is on point. I'm just trying to get around an extra... I'm the only person who puts on weight with cancer, and I'm trying to get like 12 extra pounds off me, but I put on 27 pounds doing chemo. How?

Nobody in the world... I did double chemo and put on 27 pounds. Nobody does that.

The doctors are like, okay, that doesn't usually happen, but I have a strong continent, so still trying to get like 12 more pounds off me to feel my best, but it looked good and feel good. That's what I'm trying to do, Aimee. How long have we been colleagues slash friends? I mean friends. Like 20 years, I guess. A long time. Yeah, a long, long time. My radio sister, one of my radio sisters.

Yes. Well, it's always good to connect with you, hear your voice, but mostly I'm just so, so, so proud of you and happy for you and your fam. I'm happy for you and your new start in life too.

Thank you. Remember, marriage is 100-100, not 50-50. Anybody who tells you 50-50 is full of it. Did I send you a picture yet? Because I don't think I did. I need to. No, I didn't.

It's 100-100 marriage. Yes, I got you. All right, well, I'll send you 100-100 photos so you can see. All right.

Put a face to the name. All right, love you. Thank you. Love you too. Bye, John.

You're welcome. He's getting ready for his morning show on 97.5, The Fanatic, and somehow he always shoehorns us in there to that last couple of minutes, so we appreciate him. Yeah, we've been colleagues going back to our previous network, so we've known each other for a really long time, and he's been what I call an ally in this business, so lots of friends, colleagues, coworkers, but when you truly have an ally, it's someone who will speak up and fight for you even when you don't even know there's a fight that's brewing, and that happens a lot as females in sports radio, so he's always looked out for me.

He's always been an ally and isn't afraid to declare that, but mostly all the way through his third battle with cancer, praying for him and reaching out to him and talking to him and encouraging him, and I know he had a bazillion people who were doing the same, but it just makes me feel like I was a small part of it, and I was rooting for him, and now, of course, can celebrate that he's six months cancer-free again because he's an amazing dude. All right, we're back tonight. Enjoy your Monday. Kick it in the rear end, will you?
