I'm Snoop Dogg, and I'm giving up smoke.

I know what you're thinking. Snoop, smoke is kind of your whole thing. But I'm done with it.

I'm done with the coffin, and my clothes smelling all funky. I'm going smokeless. Solo Stove Fix 5. They took out the smoke. Now you can have a nice blaze without any clouds ruining your day. Go smokeless.

Go to solostove.com. Tell them big Snoop Dogg sent you. Hahaha. When things feel a bit chaotic, Instacart helps deliver milk and sausage. Add a little life to your cart.

And they were kind of put on hold for Thanksgiving and some travel to see Bob's family over the weekend. And for that reason, now I'm feeling a bit of a crunch. But you know me, I'm a master planner, master organizer.

I'll organize you to death. I mean, not literally. So I actually enjoy it. But yes, I've got Liss coming out my nose, which is better than anything else coming out your nose. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio. It is our hump show, middle show of the work week. If you have not seen the charred and scarred walnut crunch pumpkin pie, the photographic evidence is in fact on both Twitter, ALaw Radio and our Facebook page. And your comments and your responses crack me up.

So far, my favorite one is no fires before the wedding. Okay, agreed. But yeah, the baking reputation that I have established over the last 10 years of working here, photos of cookies and Christmas displays and I've even baked cupcakes. I bring my baked goods for the office because let's be frank, I really do like to show off my baking chops. But I thought, well, if I'm going to show the good, I better show the bad. So I was brave and I was bold at the risk of ruining my baking reputation and losing all of my baking cred. I did share the photo.

So it's up on both Twitter and Facebook. And there are people that agree with producer J that the burned and charred and scarred pie looks like a piece of artwork. Really, I'm telling you, the crust, by the time it had sat overnight, because I didn't even know what to do with it. Once I put the fire out by patting it down. It was really funny patting it down with an oven mitt. But the time I finished putting out the fire, I didn't know what else to do. So I just left it there overnight. I put a cover on it and I just left it there and I get up the next morning and really the crust is is gone. And so I didn't still know what to do with it smelled like burnt char.

It's it smelled kind of. But I thought, well, if the inside of the pie, the filling of the pie is OK, maybe I could eat it and not I couldn't serve it. So I had to make another one because I have friend coming over for Thanksgiving. So I couldn't share it with anyone. So I put it I covered it up with tin foil and put it in the fridge and actually did eat a little bit out of the middle because it was good. But I didn't I couldn't serve it to anyone. So I had to get rid of it.

I didn't end up saving any of it. And so when I turned it upside down to dump it into the trash, everything came off except for the crust. The crust was like burnt to the pie plate. I had to scrape the crust off. It's just a mess.

I'm looking at the pic at it now. The middle the middle looks pretty good. The middle was good. Now, I did have to, like I say, use a spoon to kind of break through that that thick outer shell. But when you got into the actual pumpkin with the walnut in the crunch or the brown sugar, it was really good. It's just that the farther out you got from the middle, the middle was only part that wasn't on fire.

So the farther out you got to the middle of the pie and then onto the crust, the more it tasted like char. So I really I felt as though I had to get rid of it. Yeah, I I like your effort in trying to at least, you know, you gave it a shot. You gave it to do you ate it. That's really the play, though, I think, though, at that point, because your other one came out so well.

It did, actually. It's really delicious. You will love it. I swear this time tomorrow there will be pieces for you to try. Are you afraid? No. OK, good. No broiling. All right. No broiling on this one.

I learned my lesson. So the photo is up on Twitter and Facebook. If you want to send your questions for Ask Amy anything next hour here on the hump show, you can do that as well on Twitter and Facebook. By the way, we are perilously close to Jay being required to eat a very large bowl of broccoli. And no, it's not fried broccoli. It's steamed.

Maybe you can. You don't have to eat it raw. You can cook it. It's just that you cannot fry it in anything.

You're allowed to drizzle. You could grill it if you want. Grilled broccoli is really good.

Yeah. You can put olive oil, salt, pepper, even some salad dressing. I don't know if you eat salad dressing, but you can put some salad dressing on it. But you know the rules.

Once we get to 4,000 subscribers on our YouTube channel, you have agreed that you will eat broccoli. But I can't. You can't fry it.

In the oil, right? No. Maybe sauté it, but I don't trust you.

I feel like you might try to coat it with breadcrumbs. That sounds OK, actually. That sounds kind of pleasant.

No. I can bring it for you if you like. I will sauté it for you and put it in a Tupperware and bring it to work. Oh my gosh. That sounds horrible.

Does it? It's actually really tasty. Just a coupler of broccoli?

No, no. I said I'll sauté it for you. I'll even put some garlic salt and maybe a little garlic powder on it. But I will not allow you to eat it fried. That's not fair. Garlic is good.

Garlic is really good. Yeah, I like that. I'll go with that. Alright. So we have to get to 4,000 subscribers on our YouTube channel. I would love it if this happened by the end of the year. We're very close now.

We're within a few dozen. So just make sure Jay eats his broccoli because unfortunately he will not unless forced to do so. Alright, so we have that going on.

The After Hours Zoom Room, if you haven't yet responded, we did send out the invites to those of you who were closest to our random number game from a couple weeks ago. So we have the next step of our holiday gifts to you which is another YouTube version of asking me anything and asking me walks down the aisle. And then before the end of the year, in fact I meant to do this and I went to the grocery store on Tuesday morning on my way home from work and forgot to grab the Christmas candy so we can put it into the jar and give you the chance to guess the number of pieces in the jar again. Poor Jay. A lot of this will fall on Jay but that's for After Hours swag in case you want to give it away as a gift. So Jay, I didn't get the candy in the store but you will not believe. I've been waiting all day to tell you what I found at the store. Christmas related or candy related? Nope, nope, nope.

It's in the refrigeration section. I'm very interested. I know you are.

Okay. Do you remember, tell the peeps what it is that you and I went crazy for last summer. Actually it wasn't last summer, it was last winter and spring because I was using it in my grandmother's 100th birthday celebration in April of 22. My brother introduced me to it and I was still using it into late spring on my vacation because I kept introducing other friends to this particular product, you included. And once they discontinued it, we were so disappointed. We've not seen it again. Do you remember what I'm talking about? I do and I actually weirdly was thinking about this product not too long ago and if it had come back or if it was thinking about coming back.

We need to start a petition. Twinkie Creamer. Twinkie Creamer from International Delight. That was the brand. So my brother introduced me to it. I went crazy for it.

I got Jay started on it. I got a bunch of friends drinking it in their coffee and then they discontinued it in June. Had I known, I would have purchased two of them because you know these creamers last for a few months. Wow.

Yeah. I would have purchased probably another two of them but I didn't know they were about to discontinue it. Faithfully for over a year now, a year and a half, I have checked the refrigeration section at Walmart which is where I do my grocery shopping every single week.

Every single trip to see if by chance they brought back Twinkie Creamer. I've never seen it again. I've even tried to look for it on Amazon. Never seen it again.

I've looked as well online and it's multiple stores. I've never seen it. Guess what I found. Not Twinkie Queamer. Twinkie Queamer.

Maybe that came back. Not Twinkie Queamer. I did not find the Twinkie version but you will not believe, I didn't take a picture but I will to prove to you and I'm going to bring it in to share with you because it is, I would say it's a very close second to Twinkie Queamer. Whoa.

Are you ready? Yes. What was the little snack candy we were eating after Halloween?

No way. A Snickers Creamer? It's Snickers Creamer and it is divine.

I definitely think I like Snickers more than even Twinkie. Well the Twinkie Queamer was so good. It was so good. It was so good. It was better than the actual Twinkies. It was the best creamer I've had to date.

No doubt. When, by the way, when was the last time you drank coffee because I don't see you with the coffee mug anymore. Did you get rid of the Yeti coffee mug that I got you?

Oh no, of course not. I still haven't. I just haven't been having it, I don't know, really no reason behind it. When was the last time you drank coffee? Saturday in the morning. Hot coffee actually weirdly which also I don't do often.

I'm normally ice coffee year round. Can I have my Yeti back? I love that thing.

I use it every day for like a year straight. And then what happened? Nothing. It's only been like, what, I don't know, a couple weeks. I'm just not in a coffee kick lately.

I don't know why. I've been having soda really for the caffeine. What is Snickers creamer? Yeah, stop drinking soda. That's not good for you. Snickers creamer could change it and could reboot your coffee desires.

I am definitely interested in Snickers creamer. Oh, it's delicious. So I tried it for lunch or when I woke up on Tuesday afternoon and I thought I cannot wait until Jay.

So for those of you out there who are listening, try it. It's Coffee Mate brand. So it's not International Delight. It's Coffee Mate brand. They had a chocolate mocha that my brother and I really liked a couple months ago.

Actually, it might have just been last month. But I just saw the Snickers creamer and cannot wait to tell my brother. Look at your face. I know you're Googling it right now because I can always tell when you're looking at something on the internet after I've suggested it. So it's real and it's spectacular. I'm telling you. It is. It's amazing.

I'm looking at photos, multiple photos right now. I see one with a pump dispenser. Interesting.

I didn't see that one at Wally World. Oh, I got to get this. Yes. In fact. It's so inviting. Oh, and it's delicious. It does taste like Snickers. It does.

I don't know how they do it, but it does taste like Snickers. Yeah, I'm going to get this. This is going to get me back into the coffee game real quick. Nice. Okay.

Yeti, be reignited for your coffee game. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence here on CBS Sports Radio. If you haven't sent your questions for Ask Amy, either on our show Twitter or on our Facebook page. And again, we'll get to that coming up next hour.

Also, 45 minutes from now ish. My conversation with Hall of Fame wide receiver Steve Largent. I did not know this about Steve because he played way pre-me, pre-me being in the business. I did not know this about him. He actually got drafted by Houston, the Oilers, not the Texans, because they used to be a different franchise. Well, they used to be somewhere else, actually.

Right. Anyway, he got drafted by the Oilers. And then after a few preseason games, the Oilers decided he wasn't a great option.

They didn't think he was going to be very good. And they sent him to Seattle where he catches 100 touchdown passes and where he plays almost the entire, almost his entire 13-year career without missing any games. I think he missed four games over his entire career.

Don't quote me on that. But he missed very few games over the course of his entire career. And so the Houston Oilers had it wrong.

Remember, they ended up moving to Nashville and the Texans were an expansion franchise, for those of you who don't know. And if you've never heard of Steve Largent, the Hall of Fame wide receiver, maybe you've heard of Steve Largent, the Congressman. I actually asked him this and his answer is kind of funny.

One time, oh gosh, this is going back now, maybe 12, 13 years ago. I had a conversation with Jerry Rice, my previous network, not here, had a conversation with Jerry Rice and I asked him if more people recognized him or identified him with Dancing with the Stars instead of his Hall of Fame career. And because the generations have turned over, yeah, more people knew him, recognized him, and would say to him, oh, that guy from Dancing with the Stars, and not know that he had a Hall of Fame career. He was one of the greatest wide receivers of all time, if not the greatest wide receiver who ever played in the NFL. And so I asked Steve that question about being identified as a Congressman more than he was identified as an NFL wide receiver. But yeah, inductee in 1995, 100 touchdown receptions, he was one of the first in his, well, at his position going back then. He played 70s and 80s to be a guy that was so prolific at that position.

It was really cool to talk to him. So that's coming up at the top of next hour. Coming up straight ahead, we have got the latest college football playoff rankings. He's the last ones before conference championship weekend.

So we'll go through the implications of those. Micah Parsons, he's got a super cool podcast. It's called The Edge with Micah Parsons. I know he's angling for a broadcasting job. He's starting now with his podcast, which is actually a video podcast. Tiger Woods resurfaces in the Bahamas, like he was snorkeling or something, scuba diving.

He resurfaces in the Bahamas, and he finally shares his thoughts about the live PGA merger, which isn't really a merger. So we've got a lot to get to. I'd love to hear from you.

I'm hoping to work it into this edition of the show. We only have three hours left. So funny people ask me a lot. How do you fill four hours? First of all, I don't fill.

That's never, I don't fill. But I tell them, and this is honest, Jay knows you all know this because I very often tease things that I somehow don't get to. I run out of time every single show. I can count on one hand the number of shows that we don't have enough to talk about or that we get to everything that we plan. Jay and I do extensive planning before the show starts. We both do our own planning and prep and then we bring it together and combine it. And two heads together, we're able to get to a lot of, a lot more than what we would if it was just one of us.

Not as much as if it were three of us, but you know. Anyway, it's, it's a good problem to have. So I'll give you that it's a good problem to have, but I am hoping to get to some QB news, as well as Victor Wemenyama with a pretty funny assessment of his own career at this point. And what else do we have? Huh. Bobby Petrino. That's the story.

That's the most bizarre story from the sports world on Tuesday. So I'm going to do my best to get to it all. Again, on our show Twitter, after our CBS, send your questions for Ask Amy. Check out the chart and scarred pie. I only ate just a little bit out of the middle. I wasn't that hardcore. And you can vote for TD of the week.

We'll let you hear those candidates plus college football playoff rankings straight ahead. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence, CBS. Or give us a call at 855-212-4227. The Indianapolis Colts. 7.45 to go in the fourth quarter.

The Colts lead by three. Then she goes out of the gun. Ball between the hash marks. Taylors is back to the right side. Isaiah McKenzie is the slot receiver to the right.

Shotgun snap. Gives it to Taylor, and he backpedals his way in. Touchdown, Jonathan Taylor. Two rushing touchdowns today for J.T. Colts extend their lead.

It's 26 to 17 as the confetti flies here at Lucas Oil. The Atlanta Falcons. Play fake by Ritter. Blitz coming. He's going to lob it for Robinson, who makes the catch. Touchdown Atlanta.

Holy smokes. They blitz Werner, the linebacker. And all of a sudden, Desmond just looped that Jessie up in the air to Bijan Robinson.

This is a tremendous read by Desmond Ritter. He realizes he's got a free runner at him, but he also knows he's got man coverage. And with the linebacker in his face, just threw it up in the air like a pat and go throw. And what a beautiful read by the young quarterback.

The Baltimore Ravens. Lamar in the shotgun. He sends Zane Flowers wide to the right. Now he brings Flowers in motion to the left. He gives it to Flowers in the jet sweep. He cuts inside the numbers. He's in the 30, 20, 10, 5. Touchdown Ravens.

The Z is in the barn. And the Ravens knock out the Chargers in L.A. The Philadelphia Eagles. Three receivers left.

Now Swift goes in motion. Hurts on a quarterback draw. He's at the five. He's in. Touchdown.

The Eagles win. Hurts does it again. Oh my God.

Hurts does it again. Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me?

He's amazing. Yo, there's a party at Lincoln Financial Field. And the Eagles are 10 and 1. What a win. What a win.

You're all invited. There's a party here at Lincoln Financial Field. On the dreariest, coldest, dampest night, this team doesn't know how to lose. This team cannot be denied.

Alright, let's not get carried away. Meryl Reese on the Eagles radio network, though they have come from behind in five straight games, double figures down in a bunch of them. Jalen Hurts with the overtime bully run. The bum rush from 12 yards out.

He didn't need the tush push. He had that one covered. And that happened in OT on a day in which he scored a career high five touchdowns versus the Bills. Before that, the Ravens. They were toying with the Chargers. Zay Flowers, the second touchdown of the game. Jerry Sandusky on Ravens radio. That also sealed it on what was Sunday Night Football? Was it Sunday Night?

It was. It was Sunday Night Football. Before that, hey, Desmond Ritter rides again. Wes Durham on the Atlanta Falcons radio network. Bijan Robinson, he's been the bright spot for that team this year. And before that, Matt Taylor on Colts radio.

They're six and five, but did you hear the news? Now Jonathan Taylor needs thumb surgery. I hate to say this because I love seeing him run with the football. He had his best game as the Colts moved to six and five.

They don't win that game on Sunday without him. But he skipped the first month. He was injured most of the offseason. At least that's what he told us. An injury that lingered far too far longer than what it was expected to from the end of last season through the offseason into the preseason and training camp.

He may have milked it for all it was worth. But this is a perfect example of why teams do not break the bank on running backs. I hate to say it, but we've got plenty of examples this year.

It's true. Are there running backs who are worth their weight in gold like a Christian McCaffrey? Absolutely. Like a Nick Chubb? Absolutely. Like a Derrick Henry?

Sure. The Titans aren't able to use him the way they want to right now, more often than not. He had a great game Sunday, but it was preceded by two pretty tepid weekends. You know why? Because they don't have a legit passing game, or I should say a consistent passing game.

So for that reason, teams are able to stop the box. Who is your vote for TD of the week? We'll do the big reveal before the show is done. And just as a qualifier, I asked producer Jay, give him some authority, give him some autonomy, and this is what happens. I'm just kidding. I get that a lot. Remind me never to trust you again. He did not include the games from Thursday, Friday. We don't generally include the Thursday games, but in this case, two of the best touchdowns of the week did come from Thursday, Friday.

But I understand why some of you are incensed. I'll make sure that the suggestion box is sent directly to producer Jay. 855-212-4227, that's our toll free line.

855-212-4CBS, Twitter and Facebook for your questions, for asking me anything, which is just over an hour away. We did get the latest and we'll call them penultimate college football playoff rankings because we've got conference championship weekend on the horizon. I'm really excited about this. It's my first weekend not traveling in a month. And while I do have plenty to do at home, I've got a lot of wedding emails and deadlines to meet, I also have a bunch of cleaning, well cleaning, but also cleaning up, purging in the house to get ready for another person and another dog. But all of that can be done while conference championships are taking place this weekend.

So I do not ever make plans. Sometimes decorate the first weekend in December, but usually it's reserved for college football and that is the primary focus. So that's what's happening on Saturday. We've got these rankings that set us up for what's to come. So Florida State is back into the top four. It's Ohio State after the loss to Michigan that drops out of the top four and in fact drops from number two to number six.

This is what we have to work with now. Going into conference championship weekend, there needs to be chaos. If any of these teams behind are going to move up.

Now we do have a precedent from last year. Ohio State did lose to Michigan last season, but ended up in the playoff when USC lost in the Pac-12 championship game. Then you've got teams like Oregon and Texas, Alabama also lurking all 11-1 right there with Ohio State. Okay, so a couple of answers to questions that I know you have.

I can't give them to you, but I can give you Boo Corrigan who can give them to you. This is from the rankings release show on ESPN and he was asked about Georgia and Michigan number one and number two, but how many other teams, if there are any, does the committee look at in that upper tier? Yeah, as we look at it, it's a really good weekend, right? With rivalry weekend, you get a little bit of everything as you go into that. Georgia Tech, Georgia's win over Georgia Tech, seeding a lot of their top offensive players. Michigan with a big win over Ohio State. Washington pulls one out in the Apple Cup. Florida State goes down to the swamp.

What a great season it's been so far. Did he actually answer the question? I don't think so. He was vague. All right, let's try another one, Boo.

Boo-hoo. Looking at the one-loss teams that I just gave you, why is Oregon ranked ahead of Texas, Texas? Yeah, Oregon has continued to dominate. Obviously, the loss to Washington early in the year at 36-33, but coming out of last week and the way they played an Oregon State team that we really respect as a group held them to seven points as opposed to 34, which they have averaged on the year. And, you know, the season Bo Nix is having 78 percent completion percentage. They just continued to impress the committee with both the offense and the defense. Reese, by the way, is who he's addressing there on ESPN, the college football rankings release show.

Reese Davis, who does game day and yada, yada. And so he mentions the case for Oregon, who right now is sitting in the five spot. So theoretically, we're one of these other teams to tumble. Let's just say for the sake of argument, Alabama beats Georgia in the SEC Championship. I'm not telling you it's going to happen, but if it does, Georgia isn't likely to fall out of the rankings, but you wonder whether or not Alabama would join because that would be one heck of an impressive win. Let's say Michigan loses to Iowa. Again, I'm not telling you it's going to happen, but if it does in the Big Ten Championship, would Michigan fall enough for, say, an Oregon as the five team to get into the college football playoff? Or should Washington or Florida State lose coming up?

Here we go. We could potentially see some chaos. There's only four undefeateds left, though. And if all four of those teams take care of their business, then those are your teams in the playoff. It's after hours here on CBS Sports Radio.

One more with Boo Corrigan. What consideration was given to the common opponent that Oregon and Texas had in Texas Tech, who, by the way, the Longhorns just smashed last weekend? Yeah, we look at everything, as we've talked about each week that we've been here. You know, we're not relying on one single data point, one single game.

We're looking at, you know, we're through 13 weeks right now and making sure that as we do go through it, we are comparing everything. So you may remember last year that when the final rankings came out and there was a bunch of drama because Ohio State had dropped to five. So, Ohio State drops to six this year, but after losing to Michigan a year ago, the Buckeyes fell to number five. But when USC lost, there was one spot that was open in the college football playoff and the Buckeyes end up with it. It was Alabama, right, who tried to make its case to get back in but couldn't do that.

But now the Buckeyes are six. And so, again, if there's only one spot open, logic would tell you that it's Oregon that moves up. And so that means it would have to be multiple teams and multiple upsets. And I'm not even sure, again, if Georgia loses to Alabama in the SEC Championship, I don't even think that means the Bulldogs drop out because they're at one.

They would really have to tumble quite away and a loss to the number eight team, I'm not sure that that would predicate them falling all the way out of the playoff. But, because then there would only be three undefeateds, I guess potentially, which means that you'd have to have a one loss team in the playoff. Yeah, look, I think Georgia had won. That's the chaos. If you want chaos, root for Alabama.

That's what you want. You want to see if Georgia, because if Georgia wins that game, they're obviously at one. The idea that Michigan's going to lose to Iowa is a little hard to fathom, but if that happens too. The other one is, I mean, you got Oregon and Washington playing each other. So the winner of that game, even though you could say, well, Washington, they won the first time if they split. If you win the Pac-12 championship game, the last game, whoever wins that game is going to get the spot. So you know one of them is falling out with the fact of Washington and Oregon.

They're going to play each other. That's one of your spots. That's Friday night, by the way. That's one of your spots. Now you've got Florida State. That's the wild card. If you have any opportunity to jump a team, if they still win, Florida State's the only one that's vulnerable.

I don't know if they do it, but they're vulnerable. Because Louisville just took a loss this past week, right? So Louisville loses, and now it's not nearly as impressive if Florida State beats the Cardinals. Stanford will be the Cardinal. Still, though, if you are the conference champion, then it's hard to see them getting eclipsed unless it's a game in which they did not look good. But still. They haven't looked good all season.

That's the thing. They keep winning, but they haven't been impressive. They would be ACC champs. They would be undefeated. The fact of losing their quarterback has to get thrown in as well. Now they've got a different QB.

So there's a lot of things. Florida State is more vulnerable than you would ever think for an ACC champion that's undefeated. But they're vulnerable because they don't have their starting quarterback, and they have not been impressive for most of the season, and they really haven't played anybody. Louisville would be their best win, and it's not a great win. So there is the possibility if, again, you want chaos, you root for Alabama, which is hard to fathom for a lot of people to say that.

But it does. It sets things up. Because then if Alabama goes, it beats Georgia, you go, well, Georgia can't drop out. So there's still, you know, they could drop to four. You put Alabama in, what if Texas wins the Big 12? They beat Alabama. They're both one loss. And that's one way where head to head would matter. Yeah.

But then, and Texas is one slide in front of them at seven, but Alabama would have better wins, including beating Georgia in the SEC Championship. That's the chaos. That's if you want chaos, root for that.

That's what you want to see. If not, if you get chalk. If you get Georgia to win the SEC. If you get Michigan to win the Big 10, you get Florida State to take the ACC. And let's just say whoever wins Oregon and Washington makes it easier with Washington because they would be undefeated. Then it's easy.

That's your top four. There's nothing to talk about. There's nothing to discuss. Oregon will lose twice to Washington. Can't make a case. Ohio State, what are you going to talk about?

You lost. Like, there's nothing to discuss in the whole, you need Alabama to beat Georgia to open up the can of worms. Or Louisville beat Florida State, which... Yeah, but that just slides in one slot.

It does. Well, I'm saying the two of them together would be total chaos. That, yeah. Then all of a sudden, Alabama and Texas could both wind up in there. And then you got Ohio State sitting in the background going, hey, we only lost a close game to Michigan. Why can't we be?

Enjoy it while it lasts because this is about to come to an end with the four. No, then you're going to have chaos of who should be the 12th team and then it's, you know... It's not nearly as interesting to me.

Yeah, it changes the variable. It does. All right. We'll be right back on CBS. Our Facebook page.

Send your questions for Ask Amy Anything. Straight ahead, Tiger Resurfaces. Wait until you hear what he has to say about the merger.

It's a nice idea. Between Liv and BGA. You are listening to the After Hours Podcast. The players who have chosen to go to Liv and to play there, I disagree with it. I think that what they've done is they've turned their back on what has allowed them to get to this position. Some players have never got a chance to even experience it.

This is After Hours with Amy Lawrence. That is the unmistakable voice of one Tiger Woods who has been recovering, kind of, from a surgery that happened eight months ago. So we have not seen him play golf since the Masters. Sounds like he hasn't played golf since the Masters, but he had a foot surgery because he needed to address some arthritis that was really bothering him.

It was very painful. This is post-surgery from the car accident, so he had a bunch of complications. Remember, his foot was shattered and arthritis developed, and so eight months ago it really got to the point where he couldn't walk without pain, forget, play golf. So he had a surgery and he has resurfaced in the Bahamas where he is going to participate in the Hero World Challenge. This is his golf tournament.

It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio. How is he feeling now, so many months removed from the surgery? My game feels rusty. I haven't played in a while, so I had my subtalar fused, and so I'm excited to compete and play and I'm just as curious as all of you are to see what happens because I haven't done in a while. I can tell you this, that I don't have any of the pain that I had at Augusta or pre-that in my ankle. Now, well, other parts are taking the brunt of the load, so I'm a little bit more sore in other areas, but the ankle is good, so that surgery was a success.

Well, that's good news. I'm glad that he's not dealing with the ankle pain or the foot pain, though, because he's an older athlete, a lot of them deal with aches and pains in other parts of their body, and he does mention he's rusty. He hasn't played golf since the Masters, so why come back at all? Why return to competitive golf? I love competing. I love playing. I miss being out here with the guys.

I miss the camaraderie and the fraternity-like atmosphere out here and the overall banter. But what drives me is I love to compete. There will come a point in time, I haven't come around to it fully yet, that I won't be able to win again. When that day comes, then I'll walk, but I, well, now I can walk.

I won't say run away, but I'm going to walk away. I'm glad that he can walk. It's good to hear Tiger Woods and the humor, the fact that he can get out there and think about walking through an entire weekend of golf holes. In the PGA, there are a couple of gimmicky tournaments or not real legit PGA Tour events where you can ride in carts, but for the most part, it is required that you have to be able to golf. You all may remember the Casey Martin case a few years ago. I think that went to the Supreme Court, but I think it did.

I know it went through the court system because he had a physical disability. He could play golf, but he couldn't walk through the course of these tournaments and was trying to get the PGA to change its rules so that he could use a cart, but ultimately lost even at the highest levels of the court system. But Tiger loves to compete. Now there was a follow-up from a reporter, does this mean that you think you can still win? And his response was absolutely. So you hear him kind of subtly say, when I feel like I can't compete, then I will walk, but he does believe he can still win. And that's classic Tiger. All right. Well, while we got you here, Tiger, what about that June 6th bombshell of the merger between the PGA and Liv?

I mean, you might as well just let us have it. My reaction was surprised. Just like I'm sure a lot of the players were taken back by it, what had happened, and so quickly and without any input or any kind of information about it, and it was just thrown out there. And I was very surprised that the process was what it was. And we were very frustrated with what happened, and we took steps going forward to ensure that the player involvement was not going to have, we were not going to be left out of the process like we were.

That was the big concern and one of the reasons why so many golfers were incensed, or so many golfers felt like they got betrayed, because they knew nothing about it, and it was done under cover of night. But we still haven't seen any type of a plan moving forward. In fact, I think the whole thing's a sham. I think the whole thing was just about getting the lawsuits tossed out. It was just about getting the money from the PIF, the Saudi Arabian fund, the endless bottomless pit of money.

I don't actually think this was about merging the two tours and then including the DP World Tour. I think this is just about getting the legal stuff taken off the table, because it's been held up in the court system. We don't have any plan or prototype or blueprint of how this is going to work out. And here we are now, six plus months later, and it's just still kind of a pending merger. We'd like to have a deal done December 31st. That's what the agreement said this summer, and all parties understand that.

But there are other options out there. Remember we heard not that long ago from Phil Mickelson that there would be more players, big names bolting to live. He kind of was very arrogant about it, which is classic for Phil, indicating that I already know is this going to happen. I know this is how it's going to work out. Well, there's more incentive for the PGA to get a merger done if they actually have a plan for a merger, because that way they don't lose the big names.

But back to the golf, walking 90 holes in the Bahamas. Are you nervous? I'm not concerned at all about walking it. It's more the, as I said, I don't have any of the ankle pain I had with the hard work that's been placed in my foot. That's all gone, but the other parts of my body, my knee hurts, my back, the forces go somewhere else. Just like when I had my back fused, the forces got to go somewhere, so it's up the chain. So as I said, I'm just as curious as with all of you, what's going to happen. I haven't done this in a while.

I'm just as curious as all of you. There's a reason to watch the Hero World Challenge nostalgia for Tiger Woods, and I do miss him being on the golf course. But I like this Tiger better than, speaking of arrogant, the young dude who crushed everyone on the course, but was a sham behind closed doors. He built his entire image on a bunch of lies. This Tiger Woods is kinder, gentler, he's more humble, he's humorous, he allows people to get to know the real him. Wish we could have had this Tiger from the beginning.
