Imagine you're looking at a balancing scale with everything you do for other people on one side and everything you do for yourself on the other side. If it isn't balanced, maybe it's time to spend a little more time on you. And therapy is a great place to start.

BetterHelp connects you with a licensed therapist online who can help you find that balance and stick to it. It still hurts to get out of my chair. Every part of me hurts. There's obviously a little bit of chafing of different body parts when you run 13 miles. And I'm actually pretty relieved that there wasn't more of a technical issue with my shoes or with anything else, considering that I really didn't have much of a chance to put myself together. Because I didn't eat before the race, around mile 9, I felt myself.

I felt my stomach just super empty and I was a little bit nervous I was going to be out of any kind of fuel. But to answer a question that I saw on Facebook from Robert, did you ever feel like you'd hit a wall and wanted to quit? No. Hit a wall? Yes. Quit?

Absolutely not. I don't do that. I don't care how slowly I run.

I don't care how long it takes me. My only goal every single half marathon I do is to run the entire way. Even if it means I'm barely putting one foot in front of the other, I have to run the entire way.

And I also try to encourage other people who I may pass or who I see that are really struggling. There was this one particular guy who would run and then walk and then run and then walk and he was really struggling the deeper we got into the race. So I started, I would pass him every couple of times. And I would say to him, you got this, you got this. So at the very end, he had fallen behind me by about a half mile or so. And we did a high five as we're passing each other and encourage each other. So that was cool. But no, I never, I would never quit.

Heck no, that's not what I do. But I did run the entire way. Yes, I definitely hit a mental wall around mile nine, which was still third loop. And you're thinking, oh my gosh, this loop isn't over and I still have one more to go. But then also between miles 11 and 12. So I got a good adrenaline rush at around mile 12.

But between 11 and 12, we're still going out, out, out, out before we've turned and made the last turn actually for home. It was a wall that I had to fight through to be sure. So no, I would never quit.

That's never even a question. I wouldn't do this if it wasn't a challenge. This is why I pick half marathons as the distance for me because it requires all of me every time I do it, no matter how much I've trained. And then he wants to know if I wore the hat in the photo while I ran. Oh yes, that is my running hat.

I wear it almost every time I do a half marathon. I'm not going to tell you all what the hat looks like. You'll have to go and check it out. It's very clearly a symbol from the sports world.

I have not myself been to this particular event. However, some of you have noted you can only buy the hat on the property. It was a gift from a very dear friend of mine. And it's pink and it makes me happy. And you can see by the brim of the hat or the bill of the hat that it's been through the wringer. It's been through a wash a bunch of times because I wear it when I'm running. So yes, I always wear a hat when I'm running. It protects my face and keeps me a little bit cooler.

And then I tend to use this particular hat for all my big events because it's special to me. So you can check that out on Twitter, ALawRadio, also on our Facebook page After Hours with Amy Lawrence. Again, thank you for your sweet words of encouragement and support. I have not had a chance yet to finish the blog post that I'm writing about my bucket list of a month.

But I am planning to. I haven't forgotten about sharing more photos from the Grand Canyon. It blows my mind that in three weeks time I both hiked the Grand Canyon and also ran a half marathon. But I kind of feel like the first was training for the second. It was an amazing month. It really was. If only it wasn't the second busiest month in the sports calendar and I was teaching a class at the same time.

I may have gotten a lot more gray hair in the last month as well. But if this is how I start a new decade, then I suppose it means good things are to come. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence and we're going to get back to sports. But I know many of you, in fact, you tell me this all the time, but I can gauge it even judging by your reaction. Many of you care far more about my personal life and my stubborn dog and the crazy stories that I have than you would ever care about my analysis or opinions or reaction. And that's fine. It's totally fine. I'm not going to get offended by that. That you don't listen for my sports opinions for which I have trained and practiced for years. What you care about is when I tell you embarrassing stories. Fine.

It really is. It's totally fine. Oh, Aaron Rodgers, thank you for that. Thank you for these drops, as we call them, these snippets that we will drop into our show, affectionately known as drops in the radio world.

Thank you for the drops that will live on not only in your memory, but in ours. Okay. You don't have my number. You're not going to have my number. Don't have your number.

You're not going to have my number. It's bad when I actually can regurgitate them in my head. Mike Tomlin drops in the same way and Dean Campbell starting to be in that same category. The drops that I can recite and that I know fit so appropriately with what we're doing. It also means that producer J has figured me out. It's one of the adjustment periods for a new producer is that I do take pauses at different times. In fact, I specifically take pauses where it might feel awkward to take a pause because, well, it's radio science. But as I taught my kids, my kids, as I taught my students this past month, pauses are strategic. Not only do they keep me from without taking a breath, but they allow me to think about what I want to say.

They allow me to be more deliberate. And because the majority of people listen to radio or digital audio as a background noise, they don't sit and stare at the radio. Some of you are trying to sleep right now. Some of you are working.

Some of you are driving. Others of you might be studying. Whatever it is that you're doing while you listen to us, you're getting ready for work.

You're getting ready for bed. Whatever you're doing, the majority of time that people listen to radio or audio on their phones or computers, they're not sitting around staring and listening intently. No, you're doing something else while you're listening to the radio. We're a companion. I hope that I catch your attention periodically with my crazy stories.

But generally, radio is more ambient, which means that if I continue to drone on and on and on with no different audio, so no other voices like Aaron Rodgers, like James Harden, like Doc Rivers, like what we're going to hear from Timo Meyer in a second. Doesn't matter if you have one ass cheek and three toes, I will beat your ass. Or Dan Campbell. I mean, no ignoring that man. I'm not a lunatic. I swear I'm not a lunatic. He's the best. I swear to God, I'm not a lunatic.

Someday, if I could have Dean Campbell and Mike Tomlin on my show, my career would be complete. Anyway, strategic pauses are the same. When a host takes a breath and pauses, a lot of times it shakes up the listener. The listener doesn't understand what happened. Is she gone? What's she doing? Is she thinking? Where'd she go?

What just happened? It's just a difference in the pattern and the cadence and the pace. And so it generally will jerk your attention back to a radio show. It gives you that tingle.

Well, that too. See, this is what happens when you attend or you sign up for and you attend my class. Even though radio is meant to be very conversational, it's supposed to sound like I just walked in the door, plopped into a chair and began pontificating. It's actually much more cerebral, much more cognitive.

It requires great creativity, yes, but it also requires great conviction and it requires a ton of planning and research and purpose. Don't want it to sound like that, but it does. If it's going to be a good radio show, it needs the cognitive approach.

It's after hours with Amy Lawrence here on CBS Sports Radio. I definitely know that you all have come to appreciate my crazy life over the past four years specifically. And I got a message from Dan on Twitter that he appreciates the combination of sports and life on my show, which is cool because earlier in my career, how often I got stick to sports or nobody cares about your grandmother. That was a good one. Nobody cares about your dog. And it's okay if I lose a few listeners because I don't stick to sports.

I'm all right with that. So check out the photo on Twitter and Facebook. You can see the hat. It was a gift. Yes, I wore it during the race.

No, I have not been there myself. It actually matches the medal. Seriously, check out the medal. It matches the medal. And tonight I'm sporting the shirt. The shirt is not. It's green. Well, the shirt is black, but it's got bright green writing and a bright green Statue of Liberty, which is funny because we didn't see the Statue of Liberty. We're so far up the island of Manhattan. We're on the Upper West Side.

You can't see the Statue of Liberty, but it's the iconic symbol for New York City. Right. I actually was searching a few minutes ago for another half marathon to do in the fall because my plan usually is to do two a year. I call it my annual marathon.

Anyway. I realize there's one in Jersey City, New Jersey, which actually says that you run with incredible views of the Statue of Liberty and Lower Manhattan, which is where the Freedom Tower is. And so maybe while I'm feeling this high and this pain, maybe I'll sign up for another half marathon. It's a good goal for me.

As long as I'm signed up, I know that I will continue training, though I do have some pretty some pretty lofty hiking goals for this 2023 as well with a partner. Bob was sending me texts while I was running. Isn't that sweet? And I didn't see them all because I was running.

But every time I would pull my phone out of my pocket to change music or change Spotify playlists, I would see that there was a text. It was cute. He was hyping you up? Well, he was praising me for being a Wonder Woman. His Wonder Woman. That's what he calls me.

His Wonder Woman. I know. Maybe he's just blowing smoke, but it's really nice to hear. No, that's genuine.

He actually keeps talking about how he is to get in better shape for our hiking trip that's coming up because he's worried that I'm going to hike circles around him. I mean, I probably can, but I'm not going to. You don't need to show off. No, I don't need to show off.

That would be rude. He's an outdoorsman, right? He can get out there. Yes. Yes. He's working on his hiking shape. He actually just bought hiking boots.

See the impact that I have on people in my life? Look at that. That's a good start. I mean, now he's got to wake them in, right? He does.

He does. We're looking forward to that. Still six weeks to go, though. Heavens to Betsy. That's a long time.

Anybody out there who are in long-distance relationships, any advice you can give me, I would really appreciate it. Jay's got nothing for me because he's not been in one, and I have a couple of friends that did this for years. No bleeping way am I doing this for years. Something we'll have to give. I'll do it the rest of this year if that's what it takes, but after that, no. Well, you've got dates planned, which will be helpful to just kind of leave because you know you already have things that are not in the works. They're already scheduled. We do. We have plans that are scheduled, yes. We actually, and this was his suggestion, not mine. Sorry, Bob, if this is too much information. We planned out our visits for the rest of the year.

I think it's mostly because of work schedules, so when to take time off and when to not. But isn't that sweet? Very.

I mean, you already got the site set. Wait, he's going to be listening in the morning. Hi, Bob. I'm outing him for being so sweet. I'm hyping him up, so.

You are, you're hyping him up. All right. By the way, we started a Star Wars movie. We started The Rise of Skywalker on Friday night, but because we spent too much time on the phone, it was too late. We couldn't finish it.

Are you going to finish it? Yeah, we have an hour to go, but he's got a pretty busy May, so I had a crazy April. He's got a busy May, so we'll see. We'll see when we reconvene. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence, CBS Sports Radio. Not that May is a whole lot calmer or less chaotic in sports.

No, that is not the case. Who, speaking of chaos, that's what we get in some of the series in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Got it ahead at center for Nylander. Nylander goes wide, stops up, tried to play it back to the point he does. Closing in, goes to center front, they score! The Leafs have taken the lead! Brad Kogutis, long shot, tipped, they score! It took an afflection on the way, and this game is tied with 7.32 to go in the second. 2-2 is the score, and Verhage was out in front.

Looks like he made contact with it. This game is all not enough. Ooh, Florida Panthers, Toronto Maple Leafs, granting us those words that just give me a thrill, but also give me tension.

I can feel tension in my gut every time I hear sudden death this time of year. Rims around Anton Lundell, down behind the net. He wraps it around, he scores! Sam Rinehart, the overtime winner! And the Panthers take a three-game sit-on lead in this series against Toronto.

3-2 the final. Sam Rinehart ends it tonight. I was able to enter over the blue, and Lundy was getting on the ice kind of late, and I was able to find him off the bank. He handled it really well and gave me a lot of space kind of underneath, and was just trying to attack the space. We're just relishing the opportunity to take it day by day and live in the moment and find a way to win hockey games on that day.

We've got a day off tomorrow, and we'll come to practice ready to work again and look at all the things that we can do better. On the Leafs and Panthers radio networks, the overtime winner by Sam Rinehart about three minutes into the extra period, and you hear him talk about that moment and just being kind of right place, right time. But his positioning was amazing. We talk about this in basketball, movement without the ball. Well, for Sam Rinehart in the overtime, it was movement without the puck to put himself into position. So he dumps the puck off the boards, and it's behind the net, and then he gets then behind the goal and takes a pass back from a teammate so that he can kind of twirl it and flip it home.

It was a really pretty move. I've heard a couple of different announcers say this over the course of the last month that in sudden death, every puck in front of the net is dangerous, and that's exactly what happened here. It does put the Florida Panthers up 3-0, 3-0 in this series. This story reminds me a lot of, now it's not quite the same, but it reminds me a lot of the St. Louis Blues a few years ago when they were the last place team in the NHL. They had the worst record in the NHL in January, but ended up as Stanley Cup champions by June.

And Florida's story is marked by the fact that they nearly missed the playoffs altogether. Had the Pittsburgh Penguins played better down the stretch, they likely would have gotten the final spot in the Eastern Conference, not the Panthers. And so the Panthers get in, they stick and they hang and they survive, and they do everything they possibly can to be just hanging around with the Bruins.

But again, games go into overtime, anything can and will happen. This is an unlikely story that can develop during the Stanley Cup playoffs. I feel for Toronto.

Since 2004, first time into the second round, and now they've got work to do. Certainly John Tavares has been in these situations before. As the captain of the Maple Leafs, he's got to set the tone. It was a tight hockey game. We obviously just got to find a way to capitalize a little more. They're defending very tight in and around their net.

Once you get frustrated, then things don't really go well for you at all. We're just trying to maintain and do the right things on the ice, and we've been doing it through the series. We've just got to make sure we keep doing that. Obviously, just digging game in, one game at a time, and just make sure we're trying to do our best we can.

Yeah, that's all you can do, really. The Panthers would know a lot about that, feeling like they had really no leg to stand on, no margin for error late in the regular season. They had to play their way into the postseason bracket. You hear that from Mitch Marner, and you recognize, well, the Panthers have been in that space before.

But gosh, an overtime goal through the five hole is a little more painful when you're so close and you feel like it's a great opportunity and you aren't able to get it done. So now Florida is protecting the home ice advantage and just needs one more win to move on to the Eastern Conference Finals. I want to see a game seven, so I'm rooting. Could you imagine a game seven in Toronto in this series with Eastern Conference Finals on the line? If they get to a game seven, it will be insane. I feel like nervous four-leafs fans. I just feel like the nervous energy would be radiating even to here in New York, we could feel it from Toronto. Well, it better be radiating for game number four, except the Panthers are in firm control. This is on their own ice. Well, they'll host game number four.

Yeah, it's a different guy, it seems like, for the Panthers. Okay, coming up, two things that basketball fans, sports fans will be talking about on Monday morning. Number one, James Harden, game-winning three, as well as his kindness to a Michigan State shooting survivor. Those two go hand in hand, because James has called John Howe his good luck charm.

Now, see, when he does kind things like this and when he speaks compassionately, then I actually have a spot in my heart for him. Otherwise, pfft. We love you, James. And then the other storyline you'll hear from basketball. Now, the crazy part is it's really ancillary to this Western Conference Series between the Suns and the Nuggets, but Nikola Jokic getting into a, I don't really call it altercation, but at least making contact with the owner of the Suns and getting a technical foul for it. It's true.

We've got just over nine, what? We've got, see what happens when I run a half marathon that I can't talk. No, that's no excuse.

That excuse is, I can't use that excuse anymore. I actually did say to Jay on the phone, though, on Sunday afternoon, he was the first person to call to ask me how the race went. Thank you, Jay. So I say to Jay, we're talking for a few minutes. I tell him my story, and I said, I'm sorry, Jay, that's all the energy I have left. I have to hang up now. I can't talk anymore.

I said, thank you. It's because I had to walk 30 blocks back to my car. Right, so after I don't have the money for a subway fare to get back, I think, well, I can catch a cab and I will have the cab driver drop me in my car and I can grab cash out of my wallet. And then I thought, heck no, I already wasted $5.

I left it in the machine. I'm not spending more money on a cab ride. You're giving New York City enough money today.

That's right, enough of my money. And so what I can hope, though, and here's what I hope, Jay, is that someone came along after me and needed the $5 that were sticking out of the machine. That's a good way to think about it. You probably made someone's day.

You really had to get somewhere. That's true. Imagine if it were you. You would feel like, whoa, I just won the lottery for five bucks. That's a huge win.

That's a day maker right there. So the reason that I walked 30 blocks after the race is because, well, I didn't have the subway fare and I decided not to spend the money on a cab. So there I was walking 25 minutes after I had just run 13 miles because why not? Oh, why not?

A little 13 mile decompress with a 30 block walk. Yeah, no problem. Oh, Jay says that because he would never do it. On Twitter, A Law Radio, also on our Facebook page, Joe wants to know, are we live or taped? I don't know. What do you think, Joe?

Oh, my gosh. Clearly Joe's not really listening because he wouldn't be asking me that question if I was live or taped. Oh, I'm pretty sure I just, well, it doesn't matter. Whatever, Joe, you can figure it out. But thank you for listening. You need to listen more closely. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio.

You are listening to the After Hours Podcast. That falls, high spin, Emery puts in a rebound, scores! Off the draw, now up ahead is a shot, Weinberg scores! Walks in, top of the left circle, scores! Up the right side, 10 of them across, one time, Schorn scores!

Yoni Gords, short-handed bandit. Tolman in, back up, shot, Schorn scores! Justin Schultz with the shot from the point. Seattle 7-2.

This is After Hours with Amy Lawrence. Too early and often for the Seattle Kraken. This is also a series that is back and forth, but the Kraken, who now have six whole playoff wins in their franchise history, they take the home ice advantage, and they capitalize with a 7-2 victory over the Dallas Stars, and they lead the series two games to one after that game on Sunday night.

It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio. We love to mix in the sudden tension of sudden death as well as the intensity of playoff hockey all around. And for Dave Haxtel's crew, man, this is exactly what they needed in order to bounce back after game two. When you get a surge of energy, that's momentum, right? That's momentum, that's harnessing a little bit of the home ice momentum, which, you know, we haven't talked a lot about it in this building. We feel that.

We feel that energy. Now, you know, again, we were able to offensively, you know, able to execute and push that lead. You know, there's another step for us there in terms of maturity, in terms of taking care of things the rest of that period, which, you know, Groobie probably had to do a little bit too much, whereas, you know, the third period we settled it down and pushed through the 20 minutes. I thought our whole group was off. I mean, what didn't give me cause for concern tonight? I mean, you know, we just, you know, we didn't stop the bleeding. You know, we gave up all kinds of different goals and opportunities.

I wish it was one thing. I'll have to look at the tape, but, you know, just they were better, you know, in just about every area than us tonight. Believe it or not, this was a scoreless first period, and the Kraken put five goals in the net in the second period, and as you hear Peter DeBoer say, there were a myriad of problems.

It's after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio. I feel like we haven't talked a lot of baseball in the last month, a little bit. We talked about the Rays and their hot start. They just had a walk off against the Yankees on Sunday, I believe it was, and so they had a series against New York over the weekend, but we also got a rivalry that really had a ton of spice and fire last season. That was the last game of Sunday between the Dodgers and the San Diego Padres.

Here's the pitch for Marias. That's swung on. Lined into right field and a base hit.

That's going to find the gap. That's going to roll, and that's going to give the Padres the lead. Fernando scores. Manny walking into second base. Back-to-back doubles to begin the game, and the Padres lead it one to nothing. Bogart hits one in the air to deep right center. Betts is going back again in front of the wall.

Hops up. Can't make the catch. Hits off his wall, off his glove. Manny will come in to score, and into second base is Bogart's two to nothing San Diego. And now Smith bangs a single in the left field, and Freeman's going to come around to score.

His way to second base is Will Smith with a sliding double. The Dodgers right back in it. It's two to one. It's a lot of fun, these two teams.

If we continue to see them go toe to toe, I think it will be a rivalry that nationally will gain attention. Now, the Padres, they're barely above.500, but it's a long season. The Dodgers have regained the lead in the NL West, though this one did not come easy, actually. It's Mookie Betts to the rescue. Here's a three-one. Fly ball, left center field.

It's deep. Soto going back to the wall, and it's gone. A home run. Mookie Betts with a two-out home run.

His sixth of the year has tied the score at two. Now the pitch. Line drive left field. Drops in for a base hit.

Michael Busch with the biggest hit of his career. A two-out single to left. Freeman comes in to score, and the Dodgers take a three to two lead. The 0-1. And a high fly ball to right.

Headed toward the jury box. It's back, and it is gone. A home run. Busch with the RBI single, and now the other rookie, Outman, with a two-run home run. The Dodgers are supposed to be having a down season, and maybe when it's all said and done, they will, but as you hear with Charlie Steiner on Dodgers radio, they still have a few guys who can manage some hits, like Mookie Betts, who has a two-run.

It was a home run that tied it in the ninth inning, and then they are able to take the lead in the tenth. They may not have all the same star power. For instance, so much was made of the Trey Turner departure to the Phillies in the off season, but man, Freddie Freeman and Mookie Betts, those two are still MVPs, and they still have guys like Max Muncy who can tattoo a ball, and there's plenty of offense there, and what I've noticed about the Dodgers over and over the past, say, six, seven years is their farm system just keeps generating young guys who can come up and immediately make an impact, like Outman, but remember, we talked about Klay Thompson's brother, too, right, who came up out of the minors and, boom, right away was making an impact, and they've had a bunch of those guys who can do it. Now, they also are dealing with injuries, as other teams are.

They're not the only ones, but this is a kind of series back and forth, which I really enjoy. If we can get more of this rivalry in the NL West, I think it'll get a lot more attention, too, but it wasn't the only good series of the weekend. Also had a fun series between the Orioles and the Atlanta Braves. Now, they walked off, the Braves did, walked off in 12 on Sunday, and honestly, oh, producer Jay tells me in my ear he has the call, okay, let's hear it, a little extra play-by-play for free. And the pitch on the way is hit in the air and hit well left center.

McKenna on his horse, racing back, looks up, hits the base of the wall. Around third and scoring is Ozzie Albee's Braves win. Michael Harris crushes the first pitch off the base of the fence in left center field. Ozzie cruises home, and the Braves win the game and the series from the Orioles. The Tampa Bay Rays may be setting the pace overall in Major League Baseball, and the Orioles aren't far behind. In fact, right now you've got all five teams in the AL East above.500, and the team in the basement?

The Yankees. Even the Red Sox, who've won eight of their last 10, are sitting in fourth place in that division. It's Rays, Orioles, Blue Jays, the top three teams in the AL East. So that is definitely the toughest division right now. But in the National League East, the Braves are the best team in that, I was going to say Conference League, I said the National League, the Senior Circuit. They've got the best record on the Senior Circuit. I don't know where that comes from, but 24 and 11, and already a seven-game lead in the East Division because clearly the Mets, the Marlins, the Phillies have decided to raise the degree of difficulty. Why play your best baseball now? Who cares?

The season's really long. Just giving us something to look forward to. Oh, yeah. All right, you can find me on Twitter, ALawRadio. I did respond to the guy named Joe, who asked me if the show was live or taped, and I figured other listeners could clue him in. So you all can help out, Joe.

Photos up, though, on both Twitter and Facebook, and I'm glad to hear from so many of you on a Sunday night as we launch forward into another work week. You are listening to the After Hours Podcast. Walker to Schroeder. Schroeder dribbles out of trouble. Schroeder's three-pointer good. Huge free by Schroeder.

Stolen by Hachimura. Here he goes to LeBron. LeBron, 360, spin to the rim and in. Beautiful layup by LeBron. He's got 17. Inside to Lonnie Walker to LeBron over to Schroeder for three.

It's good. 26-point Laker lead. Timeout Golden State. Here's Hachimura for three.

Good. 105 to 77. 28-point Laker lead.

This is After Hours with Amy Lawrence. The lead got as high as 34 for the Lakers over the Warriors, and this keep in mind was after the Warriors had taken a double-figure lead early in the game, but the wheels came off. Not only were there so many turnovers, fairly typical of what the Warriors are capable of on the road, really at any time, but yes, on the road, we tend to see these mistakes, the sloppy basketball, more often.

But in addition to that, their defense was lacking. I give all the credit in the world to the Lakers. After LeBron does not take a shot in the first quarter, he does start to score a little more, but becomes a facilitator, becomes a guy who can fill whatever space is necessary for the Lakers. He's always a threat, which means you can't ignore him at any point. But his focus was not so much on being the top scorer as it was on making sure the team stayed together, played tight defense, and as D'Angelo Russell says, it's about what he's saying. Even when you don't hear him or see him, he's keeping them all on the same page. He still affects the game with passing, with defense, with communication, all those little things that you don't really see on the stat sheet. He still led us in a way that you might not see. So for me, it was just scoring tonight.

Next night, it might be passing. So just taking advantage of what they're allowing us to have. We allowed their pressure to get us on our heels in game two. We're very good when we're getting the paint. That's just who we are. We do have the ability to shoot the outside shot, we're a paint team first, and then we just pray out for threes or for the perimeter. And I think tonight we just play more Laker basketball. Every day is a learning experience for our club.

Like you said, we're relatively new to each other, so every time we get an opportunity to come together, either through a practice or a bus ride or playing a trip or a game, it's another opportunity for us to continue to learn each other, continue to get better, and continue to build our chemistry. And today was another example of that. LeBron finishes with 21 points, eight rebounds, eight assists in this 30-point win over the Warriors Saturday night. And really the second quarter was the turning point. In that second quarter, the wheels came off for the Warriors, and they were unable to stop the bleeding, number one.

They kind of got a taste of their own medicine. But number two, they could not hit the broadside of the barn. And it doesn't help that Klay Thompson had six turnovers, and Draymond Green ended up with two points and foul trouble. I just think I just made errant passes, and yeah, it was that simple. I just wasn't making the sharp, crisp pass like I'm used to, and I'll watch the film and I'll respond, and I'll play much better Monday. Steph mentioned the fast break where he threw it to you and you weren't looking.

What was happening there? Were you thinking the ball's not – obviously, you're not thinking the ball's coming down. No, that was my fault. I should have sprinted to the rim.

I was trying to run into the corner, but I should have sprinted to the rim, got that layup. And like I said, I'll watch the film tomorrow, and I know it'll just be much better Monday. Play better. So Klay whacks his poetic about what he can do differently on Monday night in Game 4, and Draymond's assessment is?

Play better. All right. Short and sweet, I suppose. That was whack to me.

Short and sassy. It's After Hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio. Thank you so much for hanging out with us as we kick off a Monday morning as we start fresh into a new week of playoffs. We are going to have to talk NFL this week. You want to know why? Because the schedule release is coming out, no doubt.

That is a little bit later. Just to continue with this particular series, though, a 30-point win, despite trailing by double figures in the first quarter, the Lakers were able to rally. Their defense turned to offense. They were much better with the basketball.

I mean, think about the Warriors. Their 19 turnovers led to 27 points. It's a 30-point win for the Lakers. That's your margin right there, 27 points off turnovers. No one can win like that.

That's giving the game away, or at least making it a hell of a lot easier for your opponent. But the Warriors have done this. So Steph Curry, among those speaking to the media on Sunday about that Game 3 loss. A lot of self-inflicted wounds across the board. We hate that you have to keep learning that lesson at this stage of the season, but we did, and now it's about how we respond. We've been our M.O. for a very long time, and like I said, there's a lot of confidence in that, no matter how frustrated we are that we let it slip yesterday.

Yeah, so these Warriors, as I've told you, are impervious to pressure. They know what they need to do differently, and sometimes they wait until the last second, but they also have a lot of wisdom and experience to draw on. This group can look back at ways that they've pulled themselves out of series where they were going the wrong direction. We talked about Memphis, the very first run that we had, to Houston in 17 and 18 for different reasons, Memphis last year, Game 4 in Boston last year. There's a lot of things you can kind of tap into in terms of experiences that we've had where we've been on the road, kind of against the ropes, and we've responded. This is a very similar situation, but it will require something different based on this team, and I'm excited about that opportunity. I love this series because of the ebbs and flows, and really that's what we're getting right now with a bunch of heavyweights still remaining in both the NBA and the NHL, and there were some crazy blowouts this weekend. That is also the beauty of the playoffs, the nature of the playoffs, that you can get blown out in one game, and then you can turn around and you can come back, and you can make it right the following game.

Get Asserta. I'm JR of the JR Sport Reef Show on CBS Sports Radio. I'm also the host of the new podcast, Agents of Inclusion. We talk to a different Special Olympics athlete every week to learn how sports can bring us together. We're bringing both the disability and non-disability community to one community, all one people, one family. Took me a little while, but I decided to claim autism as my superpower.

When you hear the word autism, don't let that hinder you from doing whatever it is that you want to do. That's what Special Olympics tells you. You get involved in sports, but then you take it from the playing field out into real life. Family means to me community, acceptance, love, embracing the person just as they are. That's what Special Olympics did for me. It's all about family. Subscribe to Agents of Inclusion on the free Odyssey app or wherever you get your podcasts.
