A Blessing to Break Free from Condemnation

I bless you to experience, enjoy, embrace the greater glory and power of the new covenant of grace in Jesus Christ.

How much better is the new? Let Paul say it. Could he be more stark in his litany of contrasts in 2 Corinthians 3? Not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God.

Not on tablets of stone, he says, but on tablets of human hearts. Not of the letter, but of the Spirit. Not, and here it gets even more stark, the ministry of death carved in letters on stone, but the ministry of the Spirit. Not the ministry of condemnation, but the ministry of righteousness. Not that which once had glory, but that is the glory that surpasses it. Not what was being brought to an end, but what is permanent. All of that 2 Corinthians 3, the contrast We live not under the weight of the law, but we revel in the glory power and joy of the new covenant. May the glories of His grace replace the worries of the law. You're in Christ, oh glory.
