You are a recipient of God's mercy and kindness, and you've been seated with Jesus in the heavenlies. You don't have to fight for victory; you fight from victory. Take your rightful place and walk in a way that's befitting your royal identity, and then take your stand on every promise of God, resisting the spiritual powers that seek to undermine your faith.

Here's Pastor Alan Wright with today's blessing, a biblical faith-filled vision for your life. I bless you to be as Manasseh. forgotten troubles that I means. You are not defined by the pain of the past, but by the plans of God. Though Joseph's first thirty years were riddled with sorrow and disappointment.

God's triumphant providential plan for him eclipsed the adversities of home and of Egypt. God may not plan for you to govern a nation like Joseph, but. He's always intended for you to, as Paul said in Romans 5, reign in life through Jesus Christ. You can forget what lies behind and As Paul said in Philippians 3, press on toward the goal of the prize in Christ Jesus. Yesterday is over.

but the rubble of your past shall not be wasted. Beloved. You are a Manasseh. The troubles of your past do not define you. They refine you.

Pastor, author, and Bible teacher Alan Wright. You can learn to sit. In what Jesus has done for you. Take your rightful place. and just come to believe it.

and then walk. in a way that's befitting it. And then Take your stand. On every promise of God. That's Pastor Alan Wright.

Here is Pastor Alan Wright. I said, I'm going to introduce myself. I said, I'm Alan Wright. I said, our dads worked together. He said, well, your dad, Dave Wright.

I said, yeah, Dave Wright said, You're a kid. And I said, no, I said, I'm young. We're just hanging out down the sun. I said, hanging out? And I'm sure he's sitting there thinking, well, it's only fitting that he's got seats on the first row.

He doesn't know. I came down from the top, baby. I'm down there talking to the TV guy. And we just, you know, like that. Just sit in your seat with Jesus.

Just sit in it. You don't feel comfortable in it. Just sit there until you do. Just get up in the morning and just say, I've been seated with Jesus. Yeah, who?

Just Don't Just don't worry about who's going to tap you on the shoulder and say that's not your seat, because it is your seat. Been bought and paid for. Hallelujah. He said, just walk in a manner worthy. Your princes?

And you're princesses.

So walk in a noble manner. How does royalty walk around? I don't know. Ages. They're a little more dignified.

Walk like that. Yeah. You're spiritually rich.

So Well, generously. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Put away poverty. Put away scarcity mentalities, put away Mm-hmm. You've been given Strength and authority.

So walk? With confidence. Boldness. But because you're so strong. You can walk quietly.

It's a quiet confidence. It's like if you're the strongest dude in the room. You don't need to pick a fight with some... Scroney guy. I was preaching this morning, I was trying to think of that guy, you know, the rock.

What's his name? You know, I mean, that guy, when he's in a room. He doesn't need to prove that he's stronger than the Pip squeak guy that's At the other end of the bar or whatever, he just like, that guy's like a flea. Like a flea other people like fleas. You just Just walk, you know.

You don't need to go yelling and rebuking and scrapping and. You just... Yeah. I'm the strong guy in the room. I'm an authority in Jesus.

This is the way it is in the kingdom. I'm talking about in the kingdom. I'm not talking about when you walk into a restaurant and you're like, I'm the strongest one. I'm talking about you. In the kingdom of God.

You're greatly loved. You're beloved.

So walk in life. You're a recipient of Mercy.

So have mercy. God's been kind to you.

So walk in kindness. The children of Narnia, they First, in this story, they just continue to bicker with each other like they're just ordinary kids. But once they get their thrones And they start wearing their royal raiment. They start talking different. Yeah.

Lewis writes, They made good laws and kept the peace and saved good trees from being unnecessarily cut down. They're good and bad trees in the story, then you know that. liberated young dwarfs. Generalists stopped busy bodies and interferes and encouraged ordinary people who wanted to live and let live. They drove back the fierce giants.

Entered into friendship and alliance with countries beyond the seas, paid them visits of state, received visits of state from them, and they themselves grew. and changed as the years passed over them. and Peter became a tall and deep-chested man and a great warrior. And he was called Peter, King Peter the Magnificent. Susan grew into a tall and gracious woman.

with black hair that fell almost to her feet, and the kings of the countries beyond the sea began to send ambassadors asking for her hand in marriage, and she was called Susan the Gentle. Edmund was a graver and quieter man than Peter, and great in counsel and judgment. He was called King Edmund the Just. But as for Lucy, she was always Golden haired and all Princes in those parts desired her to be their queen, and her own people called her queen Lucy. The Valiant.

Mm. Shit. Then walk. Then Stand. Ephesians chapter 6, verse 10.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers, over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly places. Therefore, take up the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. I uh stand.

After you sit. He learned to walk. There's a manifestation of your authority in which you take your stand against the schemes of the devil. And Christians, you've got to keep growing towards this. We got to keep growing towards this.

I'm talking about the daily putting on the armor of God and taking a stand. I'm talking about having taken a seat in the heavenlies with Christ and learned to walk in a way that is worthy and fitting of who you are, and then coming to understand this: you do not fight for victory, you fight from victory. Yes. We do not pray for victory. We pray from victory.

And I tell you, when you start learning how to take a stand, your life and your Christian life and your prayers become more declarative. You still pray, you still ask God for things, but it starts becoming more like a. The way a ruler talks. I've been seated with Christ in the heavenlies. I thank you, God, that you've given me a whole new position in the cosmos.

And I thank you this day. that therefore I'm more than a conqueror in you. You start declaring things like that. You start getting up in the morning and saying, I'm the holiness of God, and I've been set apart, and sin shall not be my master anymore. You start having a different way of looking.

At the evil schemes of the enemy, when temptation comes, there's something in you when you've learned to take a stand, you're like, no, not here, not now, not today. Not me, not this house, not now. No. People always, when we have parenting seminars, their number one question for Anime is like: how do you discipline? And I always had a hard time answering it, you know?

I mean... I think we had oddly Easy kids, I was part of it. But Also, I was like, I didn't have a good answer for that.

Well, you know, what kind of forms of discipline to use? How did you do it? And all I knew is I just said, here's our main discipline. Uh-uh, we don't do that. And then if you need more discipline, it was like...

I said, we don't do that.

Okay. I could do that as well. You just that's what you There's authority in the house.

So Stop. I'm just talking about when you mature as a Christian. You're not running around scrapping and slapping and fighting the devil all the time. You just Uh Yeah. Mm-hmm.

I'm in charge. Mm-hmm. Here's where we're going. Here's what's going to happen today. That's the way I think on it.

That's the way Ann and I think on it. It was like we'd come walk into the church. Thank you, Jesus, for this day that so many people are going to be blessed. You're drawing people here right now from the north, the south, the east, and the west. And no weapon that's formed against us shall be able to prosper, but your word will prosper in this place today.

And you have said, May it go well with you and you prosper in spirit, soul, and body. And we speak though to every person as they begin getting out of their cars in the parking lot and walking here. This is what we start praying. It's just like, I just believe it. Won't come in here.

Oh, no, I'm afraid the devil's going to attack us today. No, you just.

So you gotta know your authority. Every promise that God's given to you is, yes, an amen in Christ Jesus. You know his promises. Be clear about what he hasn't promised and know what he has promised. He hasn't promised you no troubles.

Let me be clear about that. In fact, Jesus said, In this world you'll have trouble. I know a lot of people, I've tried it myself, try to rebuke trouble. Like trying to rebuke the calories out of the chocolate cake I ate last week. I'm going to lay hands on this fudgy chocolate cake and.

No calories she'll cause fat in my body. And it doesn't work like that, you know. He didn't promise you no trouble, but he did promise you. But you're more than a conqueror. And Jesus said, take heart, I've overcome the world.

and you're in me and I'm with you. And you'll be an overcomer. He did promise that no trouble is going to overtake you. Didn't promise that you'd never face challenges. But he did promise his grace would be sufficient to you.

Didn't promise that you'd have no temptation. But he did promise that he'd be tempted just like us and he'd be with us. He did promise there would be no temptation to be stronger than us. And he did promise us. In the epistle to the Romans, the sin shall not be your master.

Yes, yeah. He did promise you're no longer under the dominion of sin. Yeah, I see. You didn't promise you'd have no sorrows. But he did promise that you could grieve as those who have hope.

So you can take a stand for your hope. You can't take a stand that says, I'm just never going to have to be sad my whole life because I'm not going to have any normal sorrows. You don't get to do that. Jesus didn't get to do that, but you do get to say, no matter what comes, my hope is in Christ, my hope is sound, my hope is anchored to me, and I have heaven forevermore, so I'm going to be okay. They didn't promise that no one would ever offend you.

Yeah. Told us the opposite, he said, people are going to persecute you. But he did say, you don't have to take offense. It did say you can forgive. He said, you don't have to be stuck in bitterness.

In fact, he said, Let there be no bitter root that springs up in you, defiling many. Take your stand against bitterness. Take your stand against the spirit of offense. Take your stand against all the devil's wiles that want you to live in bondage to someone else because of what they've done to offend you. You just take your stand and walk your life.

He didn't promise you'd be rich. But he promised he cared for you more than a sparrow, and not a sparrow falls to the ground without his permission. And he did promise. to provide for your every need. And that if you seek first the kingdom of God, that all these things will be added unto you.

And he did say that it is his desire that you prosper in spirit, soul, and body. He didn't promise that your kids would be perfect. And never make mistakes. And never Disobey. But he did promise, didn't he?

If you raise up a child in the way they should go, they will not ultimately depart from it. He did promise that you reap as you sow.

So you don't get to just decide In your authority, that my kids are going to be perfect, but you do get to get up in the morning and say, I thank you for every good seed that we sowed into them. And Lord, we just call upon it for the harvest of the righteousness that you have promised us that we will reap as we've sown. And I see a lot of good seed in my child, and you lay claim to it. He didn't promise that your life would be pain-free. But he did promise.

No weapon formed against you shall prosper. He did promise. That you would never be taken out of his love. He did promise. That you're not going to be removed from your seat where you've been seated with Jesus in the heavenlies.

You can learn to sit. In what Jesus has done for you. Take your rightful place. and just come to believe it. And then walk.

in a way that's befitting it. And then Take your stand. On every promise of God. and resist the spiritual powers. Take your stand.

Washman Neese said, It's like armies would be told to march in and take territory, but that's not what we're told. We're told to just stand because the territory has already been given. You're not having to earn and go fight to get something. Jesus has done it all and given it to you. You stand on it.

Strange way to end Sermon and a whole sermon series, but I looked up on Chase Banks' website the description. The description of an authorized user. You know, you see that phrase all the time, an authorized user. An authorized user. It says on their website, authorized users are people who have been approved to be on and use the primary card members' credit card accounts.

Authorized users are allowed to make purchases, can build their credit, and do not undergo a credit check to be added to the credit card. It adds this line: almost anyone can become an authorized user.

So, let me just end our whole series with this: beloved, you are an authorized user. And you got the whole bank account of the Lord Jesus Christ at your disposal, and you didn't have to go through a credit check to get this status.

So sit And walk. And stand. Sit. And walk and stand one more time. Sit and walk and stand because you have authority in Christ, and that's the gospel.

five four four forty eight sixty. Or come to our website, pastorallen.org. Back here in the studio with Pastor Alan, where we've come to the conclusion of this teaching, Sit, Walk, Stand. We've also arrived at the conclusion of this great series. Titled Empowered.

Pastor Alan, this has been a great series. What's your prayer? What's your closing thought?

Well, I just hope that every listener has taken from this. And certainly if you've missed these messages, please, please do get all of them. That God would never give you something to do that you can't do. and then withhold his power. That's not the nature of God and it wouldn't make sense.

And I think sometimes, as we saw in the very beginning, Daniel, that for some people they become a Christian and They hear about, well, you need to learn how to forgive even your enemies. You need to be able to Pray with faith, and you need to be able to love your neighbor as yourself. And you look at all these things, you go, I can't do that.

Well here's the good news, is that you never were expected to do it by your own power. But the power of God is something that's given to every Christian by the very presence of the Holy Spirit. He is the Spirit of Jesus. We say we have Jesus in our heart, but what we mean is the Spirit of Jesus.

So the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. The Holy Spirit's power is in you and at work in you and through you. And I just want to say as we conclude the series to every listener: I'm blessing you, I'm blessing you with the power of God to clothe you, to fill you, and for you to walk in the joy and assurance of that power each and every day of your life. You are empowered. By God.
