The concept of God's holiness is a fundamental aspect of understanding the nature of God, and it has significant implications for our lives. God's holiness is not just a moral standard, but it is also a consuming fire that seeks out and destroys sin. Understanding God's holiness can lead to a deeper appreciation for His mercy, compassion, and patience, and it can also motivate us to live a life of obedience and repentance. [... more]

God's power and wrath are revealed through His patience with those who appear to be beyond salvation, and His desire for their redemption, as seen in the lives of outcasts Jesus interacted with, such as the woman at the well and the thief on the cross. [... more]

The Bible describes a war between two cities, Babylon and the New Jerusalem, with Babylon representing mankind united in opposition to God. The New Jerusalem is God's city, founded on love of God, even to the contempt of self. The Christian life requires endurance, delayed gratification, and a deep conviction that the things we can't see yet are real. The Antichrist and the false prophet use religion as a tool to control people, but God's wrath is against sin, not against love. The primary metaphor for the Antichrist and the false prophet is prostitution, representing humanity's unfaithfulness to God. Christians should live in Babylon, deeply integrated into life here, but distinct from her sins and her man-centered ways. [... more]

The Bible speaks of a coming season of cataclysmic events, including global warming and cooling, as the world heads towards a great day of God's wrath. The enemy of Christ seeks to subjugate humanity to the environment, but God's plan is to sustain life on earth until he comes to judge it. The final acts of judgment will include a great earthquake, massive hailstones, and the return of Christ to rule in his millennial kingdom. [... more]

God's judgment is according to truth, and those who practice evil will be condemned. Hypocrisy is a threat to anyone who dares to stand in a pulpit and correct sinners when every preacher is himself a sinner. The goodness of God leads to repentance, but those who despise his goodness will be judged according to their deeds. Every single sin we ever commit is exposed to God's perfect judgment, and we will be judged according to our works, both good and bad. [... more]

Jesus' actions in the temple courtyard during Passover reveal his zeal for his father's house and his authority to cleanse it. The Lamb of God becomes the lion of the tribe of Judah, revealing God's wrath and love. Understanding God's wrath is essential to salvation, and Jesus' payment on the cross shields us from God's wrath, allowing us to have peace with God. [... more]

The gospel must begin with bad news, specifically the declaration of independence from God, which leads to judicial abandonment and the manifestation of sinful passions in concrete human behavior, resulting in a debased mind and a life filled with unrighteousness. [... more]

Charles Spurgeon's life-changing experience on a Sunday morning in 1850 led him to preach about the true light that gives light to every person, as revealed in the Bible. This light is Jesus Christ, who came into the world to save humanity from God's wrath. To be saved, one must receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior by believing in Him, which is a work of God's free grace, not by human efforts or works. Through faith, one becomes a child of God, adopted into God's family, and an heir of God and co-heir with Christ. [... more]

The Bible teaches that hell is a place of eternal punishment, where the wicked will be actively punished by God. The concept of hell is often misunderstood, with some thinking it's simply separation from God, but it's actually separation from God's grace, care, and love. The Bible also teaches that there are degrees of punishment in hell, with those who have committed multiple offenses receiving a greater punishment. The doctrine of annihilationism, which suggests that the wicked will be annihilated rather than punished eternally, is also discussed. [... more]

Dr. Robert Jeffress presents convincing biblical evidence that the rapture of the church will precede the tribulation, citing reasons such as the purpose of the tribulation, the lack of reference to the church in Revelation 6-18, and the promise of God that believers will be spared his condemnation. Discovering God's plan for our lives and committing to it is the first step towards finding our purpose. The Bible teaches us that sin always leads to judgment, but God's mercy and forgiveness are available to us through faith in Jesus Christ. God does not ignore injustice and suffering, and sin must be addressed. These events are a result of humanity's rebellion against God and will ultimately lead to salvation for those who choose to follow Him. [... more]

Forgiving those who have hurt us and choosing to bless them is a radical concept that requires us to step into the path of Jesus. It involves forgiving as a choice, forgiving as a process, and forgiving as a done deed. We must also identify with our enemies and refuse to take revenge into our own hands, leaving room for God's wrath and justice. [... more]

God's wrath and judgment are real, and they will be poured out on those who defy Him. The book of Revelation reveals the final curtain of God's wrath, with seven bowls of judgment being poured out on the earth. Those who worship the Antichrist and bear the mark of the beast will be targeted by this judgment, and it will be a miserable condition for them. God is blameless in this, and it is something that could have been avoided. [... more]

The holiness of God is His essence, and His servants receive rationed holiness, reflecting His light. The book of Revelation presents the two sides of God's wrath on the wicked and salvation for those who come to Him. Christians must stand their ground, upholding Scripture and truth, and avoid advocating for wickedness or compromising God's standards. [... more]

The story of Noah's Ark serves as a powerful lesson on the importance of faith, fear of God, and household faith. Just as Noah prepared an ark to save his family, we must prepare our families for the coming flood of God's wrath by trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ and obeying His word. [... more]

God's wrath is being poured out on the wicked, as the angel with a sharp sickle gathers the clusters of the vine of the earth, and the winepress of God's wrath is trampled outside the city, with blood coming out up to the horses' bridles. This is a time of great judgment, as the armies of Antichrist are gathered to attack Israel, but God will not be defeated, and His deliverer, Christ, will come to save His people. [... more]

The Bible teaches that we are all born sinners, and our sin nature is deeply embedded in us. We are all born with a propensity to do wrong, and our sin manifests itself early in life. However, God's grace and mercy are available to us through faith in Jesus Christ, who takes away our sin and guilt, and gives us the prospect of living in His presence forever. [... more]

Rebellion against God is the definition of sin, which is a transgression of the law and a rebellion against God's standards. Sin is defiling, ingratitude, incurable, and hated by God, causing evil to overpower us, bringing us under the control of Satan, making us objects of God's wrath, and subjecting us to the miseries of life. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, who forgives our sins and gives us the power to say no to sin. [... more]

God's wrath is coming, and those who reject Jesus Christ will face judgment. The Bible teaches that Christians should be angry at the things that God is angry about, such as injustice and malice, but not at the things that God is not angry about. The apostle Paul instructs Christians to be angry, but not to sin, and to let their anger dissipate before the sun goes down. Unresolved anger can lead to bitterness and malice, but with God's help, Christians can learn to manage their anger and respond in a righteous way. [... more]

The Old Testament prophecy is like a coloring book, giving us the image, while the Revelation colors it in, providing detail and a better appreciation for what we're looking at in life. The sixth seal in the book of Revelation outlines the Great Tribulation, and the wrath of the Lamb is a literal cataclysmic event, not just a spiritual one. [... more]

Resentment causes grief, both to others and to oneself, and can lead to a cycle of bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, evil speaking, and malice. To overcome resentment, one must let go of these negative emotions and replace them with kindness, tenderheartedness, and forgiveness, as taught in Ephesians 4. [... more]

Jezebel, a figure of speech chosen by the Lord, represents imported evil and a church catastrophe when permitted. Wrong thinking leads to wrong living, and doctrine is where we get that from. The purpose of doctrine is to please God, not to show off to people. God will have His witnesses, but those in Thyatira who are impenitent will not benefit from it. The plan of salvation is 100% understandable, and no one can say that's a deep, deep doctrine. The lack of concern for truth in so many churches is their downfall. [... more]

As Christians, we are called to righteous indignation over sin, but we must also be cautious of sinful anger's corruption. Anger can corrode our hearts and turn us into bitter people. The only cure for sin is the gospel of Jesus Christ, which brings redemption and salvation to those who accept it. [... more]
