The Bible teaches that our words have the power to either build up or tear down, and that controlling our tongues is a sign of spiritual maturity. We are encouraged to use our words to praise God, proclaim the gospel, and confess our sins, and to avoid gossip and backbiting. By dedicating our tongues to God's glory, we can become bridge builders, not bridge burners, and be known as people of love who elevate others.
