Ignite the Light Ministries exists to make accessible Gospel-centered content that invites our radio and podcast listeners to a deeper relationship with Jesus, a deeper connection with the community, and inspires them to the work of ministry for maximum Kingdom impact. We base our content in the Bible with the conviction it is the very foundation of truth. We aim to build a network of listeners who are encouraged and equipped to serve others, share the Gospel, and reflect Christ in every aspect of their life.

In 2004, two families left their homes in Texas and moved to Utah to start a church. There was no congregation or building, just a dream. Lifeline Community has come a long way since then, but our mission is still the same. We long to be exactly what our name says: a lifeline. But a lifeline of what?

Born and raised in upstate New York, Dr. Bryan Hurlbutt received his bachelor’s degree in religious education from Davis College in Johnson City, New York, and his master’s degree in theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. His doctorate of ministry from Talbot School of Theology focused on how worldview, philosophy, and culture relate to the local church, which culminated in the release of his first book, Tasty Jesus: Liberating Christ from the Power of our Predilections, published by Wipf and Stock. A true scholar and pastor at heart, Bryan longs to merge the life of the mind with life in the Spirit.
