The battle resulted in significant casualties on both sides, but ultimately, the Confederates were repelled, and Washington, D.C. was saved. This event had a profound impact on the 1864 presidential election, as Lincoln's victory was largely due to the Union's success in defending the capital. [... more]

The prosecution's case relies heavily on the testimony of Michael Cohen, but the defense argues that the evidence is circumstantial and that the jury should not convict Trump solely on Cohen's testimony. The judge's instructions to the jury have been criticized by legal experts, who argue that they are biased and will lead to a conviction. Meanwhile, the Biden campaign is trying to win back the black vote, but their efforts may be too little, too late. The Hispanic vote is also a key battleground, with Trump polling well in some areas. Robert De Niro's appearance at a Biden rally has been criticized as a desperate attempt to win over voters. The situation in Gaza is also a concern, with Iran's influence in the region growing.
