Tell me why. No, you tell me why I can't get rid of this odor. Have you tried Downy Rinse and Refresh? It doesn't just cover up odors. It helps remove them.
Wow, it worked, guys. Yeah. Downy Rinse and Refresh removes more odor in one wash than the leading value detergent in three washes.
Find it wherever you buy laundry products. It is. The JR Sport Brief Show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. I'm coming to you live from Atlanta, Georgia. Much love to everybody tuned in and locked in all over North America, wherever the heck you might be. You could be in Hawaii, you could be here in Georgia, you could be in Minneapolis, you could be in Alabama, you could be in Arkansas.
You'd be in Texas. A team that doesn't play in the Big 12 anymore. Anyway, hey, thank you. Speaking of Big 12, thank you to our guests earlier in the show. Last hour, Ari Tempkin joined us from Big 12 Radio and Sirius XM. We were able to talk about Saquon Barkley on hard knocks last night, or at least we heard him on the phone.
There's so much. We talked about the injury. Well, not officially an injury, but we talked about Kawhi Leonard, no longer participating in Team USA Basketball. He's been replaced by Derek White.
Kawhi Leonard was just telling us yesterday his knee feels good and now his knee, I guess it doesn't. Anyway, we got a lot more to do over the next two hours. If you missed the last two, hit rewind on the free Odyssey app. Okay, you can hit rewind, you can hit pause, you can go to the restroom, you could listen to your spouse.
If you want to ignore your spouse, you can, you know, put the headphones in, you do what you want. The Odyssey app is free. Thank you to people listening live and local on their Infinity Sports Network affiliate, people listening on Sirius XM Channel 158, and people who are tuned in on a smart speaker.
All you have to do is ask it to play the Infinity Sports Network. Other USA news, all my soccer football fans out there, everybody who loves footy, Greg Berhalter. He's done.
He's gone. They fired him as the head coach of the US men's national team. They lost five out of their last nine matches. They couldn't even advance in Copa, America.
And people are calling for this guy to get the boot. I just I just want to see American football and soccer be fun again. They fired this guy right before they get ready to go to the World Cup, losing five out of his last nine games. Damn, first person in history to play and coach in the World Cup for USA, but not anymore. Them days over.
Let's see who they add and get somebody from Europe, Jurgen Klopp. Unlikely. But yeah, what a dream that be.
Unlikely. Anyway, it is Wednesday. And every single Wednesday, I bring you a new top six list.
I'm here in Georgia, super producer and host of Hickey. Do I get in trouble by saying brought to you by? I can't say that. Yeah, right. I can't do that. I mean, maybe not officially.
I can't GQ Ryan Hickey. That works better. Wow. There you go. Right.
Right. I can say that you can. It's a lie. But sure, you know, we can get away with lies.
Well, there's a lot of people get away with. Exactly right. Hey, this is not a truth telling show. Exactly. I'm not you know. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
It's not lawful. I should say we are. You know, this is speaking of a lie. There's one right there. This is a truth telling show. There are a lot of other people forget shows. There's just a lot of people and things that don't tell the truth.
That's not here. Here we tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Like, for instance, over the next 15 to 20 minutes, I'm going to tell you the truth.
I'm going to give you some facts. I am going to drop some knowledge because Kawhi Leonard did something amazing today. Not only did Kawhi Leonard wake up and probably say that his knee hurts and the Clippers in Team USA said, all right, it's time for you to go home.
Forget this Olympic thing. Kawhi Leonard inspired me. He did. Now, does Kawhi Leonard look like the inspiring type of guy?
The answer is no. Kawhi Leonard doesn't look like he could inspire, you know, somebody to go to the movies with him. Kawhi Leonard. But this is the same guy. He says he's a fun guy. So maybe he's inspired. He inspired me to give you a top six list. He did.
It's what I do every single Wednesday at this time, every Wednesday. And for today's top six list. I had to shake my damn head.
What is the acronym one they use online? S M. No, not not that letter. That'd be an extra one. SMDH. Shake my damn head. I was going to use another letter. Can't do that. He made me shake my head this morning.
Shake my damn head. My Kawhi Leonard can't play basketball again. Can't represent his country. I know he was crying. Tears, buckets of them.
But he inspired me to make this top six list detailing the top six NBA players who never play. They can never play. They are always hurt.
They are never healthy. They get paid all of this money to rehab, to sit around. I will rehab. I like going to the gym.
Hickey, I go to the gym. You know how much money I make going to the gym? Zero.
Nothing. You pay money, actually. Well, yeah, I do.
You actually are right. In Odyssey, Atlanta, we got a free gym, Hickey. Sorry.
Oh, excuse me. So you don't pay. I don't pay. Other places I got to pay.
I can tell you about an Odyssey in another city, in a Midwestern city. Man, they got a nice, they got a gym sponsor. Wait, what? Yeah, they got a gym sponsor, yeah.
We got multiple Odysseys with gyms. Well, no, this one is different, okay? Wow. I won't even tell you what we got here. We got free tacos today.
That's a big deal. You got a gym, we get free tacos. It's not Tuesday. Why are there free tacos on Wednesday? Why are y'all so backwards? You know what the ironic part is of what the tacos were for?
A soccer match between the Netherlands and England. All right, well, listen, I mean... That's how we roll up here. No fish and chips, but I could think of some things that could have brought you over from the Netherlands, but tacos, okay. You got a gym, we got tacos.
Oh, man. We love where we work. We love it. We love where we work. We love it. We love it. We love it. Anyway, by the way, you can also tell we have fun where we work. Let's all have fun together, all of the listeners.
Now let's talk about NBA players who just can't stay healthy. And you know what? Let's hit the amazing music for the top six. Six, five, four, three, two, one. It's time to get JR's latest top six list only on the JR Sport Brief.
It is the JR Sport Brief show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. It is a new top six list. We're talking about the top six NBA players who never play. Okay. You know what? This is a top six list. That means we go from six to one. It is a countdown. You know what?
Let's get this guy out of here. This is the man who inspired the list. What number is it? Number six.
At number six, let's go to the inspiration. This man is a fun guy. He is the most expressive, entertaining, quotable man in the NBA. His name is Kawhi Leonard. I think Kawhi Leonard's best days are behind him. Kawhi Leonard is 33 years old.
Why they gave, they being the Clippers, why the Clippers gave Kawhi Leonard a contract extension at three years, $150 million. I have no idea. Is Steve Ballmer that damn rich? The answer is yes. But is he that damn stupid? I don't think so.
He got too many billions to be stupid. But the fact is, Kawhi Leonard is supposed to be an attraction at age 36. Is his knees, are his knees, because he got two of them, it's plural, are his knees gonna last this long?
I think the answer is no. This man had quad issues with the Spurs, okay? He's no longer a Spur because he didn't trust the Spurs to help manage his rehab. This is someone who's a two-time NBA Finals MVP.
He helped win a championship for my friends in Toronto. This man is spraining ankles. He only played nine games in 2018. He's blowing out ACLs. And now he's out of the Olympics because I guess the same damn knee that he couldn't finish these past playoffs with is bothering him again.
Let me repeat this. Kawhi Leonard is 33. They just gave this man $150 million for the next three years. What a joke. This is Kawhi yesterday, I guess, before his knee blew up like a watermelon. I think I'll suit up tomorrow. I mean, everything's been good so far. He's been at his, uh, in a neutral state.
And, you know, hopefully his days go away. Yeah, Kawhi Leonard couldn't, he couldn't, he was fine yesterday and today he's not. That's like me, my knee and my back, except for I don't play in the NBA.
I don't make 150. I should, right? What a great flimflam. Kawhi Leonard, number six on my list. The top six NBA players who never play. If I got Kawhi at six, what's next?
Number five. The fact that this man just played 76 games this past season is a minor miracle. This man came out of Kentucky, is one of the top NBA 75 players, won a championship with LeBron in the bubble. And I appreciate him because a couple of years ago, when he got his latest contract, he stood around and told everybody, I am taking this money because I am always hurt. I'm talking about Anthony Davis.
Okay. This man was concussed. This man has sprained his MCLs. This man's rookie season was, was a wreck. We're talking about busted up hands and knees.
MCLs, I can go down the list. One of the most famous memes on the internet is Anthony Davis in a wheelchair from the movie. What is that movie? Unbreakable, breakable. That's stupid movie with Bruce Willis.
When a kid saw, with Mr. Glass, when a kid saw Dead People, whatever the hell that movie was, that one. Anthony Davis is hilarious. I guess now that he played 76 games last year, he'll be back to like 30 this upcoming season.
Listen to Anthony Davis from 2020 signing his contract extension saying, uh, yeah, I'm hurt all the time. And so I just took the money. Yeah. It wasn't a matter of, you know, without coming back or not.
I think it was just more so, uh, you know, figuring out, you know, the contract length. I just wanted to be here. I want to be here. My family wants to be here. Um, I love this organization.
Um, I love the coaching staff that we have. Also, you know, the reality of things too. I, I had, I do have a little history with injuries. Two year day, you kind of bet on yourself, you know, do I get to, to that, you know, God forbid knock on wood, something happens.
I want to secure the most, uh, amount of years possible. Um, you know, it's, it's, it's, it's, uh, not a year's possible. A little, thank you. Did you hear that?
That's that was from four years ago. He says I have a little history with injury. A little, the truth of the matter is just a little bit.
Oh my God. Listen, I've heard a lot of people talk about their problems in life. Most people when they say it's a little problem in a lot of cases is a big one. Anthony Davis. He's had some big problems. Good luck to him and LeBron. One is injury prone. One is old, but Bronnie can lead the way.
Anyway. Uh, top six NBA players who never play Kawhi at six. Anthony Davis at five. Who is this number four?
Oh my goodness. You know, Anthony Davis came into the league, came out of Kentucky blue blood school, right? Kind of tall, long, thin athletic. He's put on weight as he's gotten older. This next guy, he ain't got no problem putting on weight.
He got the opposite problem when it comes down to weight and he is in the wrong city to be eating food. You want to talk about an NBA player who does not play always runs into an issue or an injury. It is Zion Williamson. I'm sorry, Zion. By the way, Zion has run into some other things that he needs to avoid. Zion needs to stay off the internet. Okay.
Stay away from those, uh, those type of people that are on the internet that want to take advantage of you. Anyway, Zion's biggest issue is conditioning. This man came in his rookie season. I remember he played his first game.
He's bombing threes away and starting to a halfway through in 2022. He didn't play at all because of his foot last year with a hamstring. He only played 29 games. And this year when Zion was actually healthy and getting in shape after being criticized, I'll tell you about that in a second. Zion was balling out until his leg said, nah, bro, we played too much basketball. It's time to shut it down in the play in. And that was it.
We didn't see Zion in the playoffs at all. Pelicans had to give this guy up $200 million. And he basically said, man, but it has conditions. You, you can't be fat basically.
And it doesn't help when you kind of big. And Stephen A. Smith is on ESPN saying that you would eat everything in front of you. Do you remember this from a couple of months ago? Everybody, every chef there wants to meet him because they know he'll show up to their restaurant. The word out on Zion Williamson is that he'll eat the table. I'm quoting he'll eat the table.
What in the hell is going on with Zion Williamson? Have you no pride? Have you no discipline? Have you no focus?
Get your stuff together, young man. Oh, come on. If I was hit, well, I don't play basketball. If I was in New Orleans, I'd be big like Zion, eating crawfish, beignets, gumbo, po'boys, oysters. Oh, my goodness. Oh, and do we, I could go on and on and on. I can't even tell you the other things I'd be doing.
So let's keep it moving. Top six NBA players who need to be a part of the team. Never play. Zion is number four. What's next?
Number three. Oh, you can watch this guy play tonight. He's not playing for Team France. You're not playing for Team Cameroon. He's playing for Team USA. And if he can make it through this Olympics, consider it a minor miracle at number three on my list. Top six NBA players who never play. It's Joel Embiid.
Come on now. This man came out of Kansas and did not play because his feet, well, I was going to say his feet are too big. This man got big old feet. You got big old feet. Your big old feet can get hurt.
Okay. That's what happened. This man has won an MVP and he's doing everything. I can't even go through the litany injuries.
This man is torn MCLs and meniscuses, menisci and MCLs. And one year it's his face with a mask. And one year it's his hands and his face in the playoffs.
And this year it was the knee. Like Joel Embiid is rolling out of bed. He's like, I got 70 points for you.
I got 60 points for you. And then his knee said, I got nothing. I'm done.
Whether a man fell on it or not. Joel Embiid is like a mummy. Just wrapped up. Can't move. Got to unwrap him to play the game and you better wrap him back up when the game is done. Listen to Joel Embiid back from April talking about his knee, his rehab. He said that that injury, and I bet all of them, then it just makes his mom play tricks on him. Usually when I have injuries, I just tell myself I'm going to move on to the next one. Get better and then fix it. But this one, he took a toll mentally being depressed. He was not a good one. Still not where I'm supposed to be, especially mentally. But I just love to play.
I don't know. For some reason, this injury was just, it was disappointing. It was depressing. Yeah, I mean, it was took me a while to get over it and I still haven't gotten over it. Yeah, man, I don't want to be a predictor of anything bad, but I guess after I tear the same thing in my knee multiple times, I'd be depressed too. You make a lot of money though. Four years, $213 million.
You'd be okay. Wipe your tears with your money. Joel Embiid number three on my list, top six NBA players who never play. Hey, what do we got next? Number two. You know what?
Since this is number two and it's my list, I can do what the hell I want. I'm giving you a two for one. How about these two guys are related? No, it's not LeBron and his kid. These are brothers, Lonzo and LaMelo Ball.
The balls don't play. Okay, let's look at LaMelo. First of all, this man is one of the most exciting young players in the NBA.
He's already been an all-star. The Hornets had no choice but to give this guy $200 million, but he doesn't play. His ankles are cooked. Literally, the man tried to cross somebody up early this year. He crossed himself into a broken ankle.
How? He needs to drink milk, something, protein shake. He's only played in 58 games between 2023 and 2024. LaMelo Ball is probably better than his brother, but then his brother can't play either. This man has no cartilage in his knee. I haven't seen this man play for the Bulls. I feel like in five years, he got an $80 million contract. This sucks.
You want to know how bad it is? Not for LaMelo. He crossed himself into a broken ankle. His brother, Lonzo. Lonzo needed someone to donate a meniscus for his knee.
I want that. Listen to what he had to tell the Wave Show. It started with a meniscus tear. Basically started on the Lakers when I tore it the first time. Tore it a couple more times to a point to where there was no more meniscus left and bone on bone was rubbing. So the cartilage was gone and the bone was messed up. So I had to get new meniscus from a donor. I had to get a bone allograft and I had to get some new cartilage put in as well. All that, you know, healed up and now I'm back on the court. Is that a basketball player or is that Robocop?
Like that's a lot of surgeries. I don't know what's going on. What's that? What's the father's name? Lavar? I don't know what Lavar Ball got in his jeans, but at least the guys got paid.
But when it comes to playing, they can't do that. I got Lonzo and LaMelo, number two on my list. Top six NBA players who never play.
It's the JR Sportbree Show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. We are going to take a break when we come back on the other side. If you want to talk about the guy who's numero uno on the list, think.
You may not have to think hard. Who is the king of never playing basketball? I'm going to tell you who it is on the other side of the break.

Well, I'm only down to one left, but we'll get there in a second. Thank you so much to Kawhi Leonard. Today's list is about the top six NBA players who never play. And no, I'm not talking about bums and scrubs and G League guys and fellas at the end of the bench.
I'm talking about stars. These are people that, you know, you might pay a ticket to go see them, but why would you? Because they never play. We knew Kawhi Leonard was a risk to be on Team USA. And now he's gone after just telling everybody yesterday that he feels good. Come on. What happened?
Isn't he just swelled up overnight? Come on. Top six NBA players that never play. If you missed the top five, then hit rewind.
But I'll give you a little recap. And number six, I gave you Kawhi Leonard, finals MVP, multiple time finals MVP, one of the top 75 NBA players of all time. And number five, I gave you an NBA champion, someone who also happens to be in that group. His name is Anthony Davis. Street clothes, Anthony Davis. Thank you, Charles Barkley.
And number four, NBA players who never play. I gave you Zion Williamson. Just when Zion looks like he's about to hit the freeway and start speeding up, his car goes, I can't do it.
He slows down. Take me to Burger King. And number three, top six NBA players who never play. Joel Embiid. This man played long enough to win an MVP and destroy everybody.
He came back, played long enough to destroy people. And his niece said, no, thank you. And I mean, every year, is it his knee? Is it his hand?
Is it his face? It's like, it's like playing roulette. It's like a game of Operation with Joel Embiid. You try to, you know, get the femur bone and then it buzzes, right? And then you try to get the funny bone and then it buzzes.
And then you try to, you know, get the funny bone and elbow and then it buzzes. Joel Embiid is a living game of Operation. I'm going to make a black version of Operation. I'm going to name it Joel Embiid. I got him at number three. Top six NBA players who never play. It's a two for one. I'm giving you Alonzo and LaMelo Ball.
Two for one, right now. There's something with LaVar Ball's children that they just, maybe it was them shoes. Big Baller brand ruined their feet, their legs, and their ankles.
One son, his knee is cooked. He needed to get a donor meniscus to try to play in the NBA. We don't know if Alonzo's coming back. LaMelo Ball needs new ankles and Big Baller brand shoes.
Take them off. So if I got Alonzo and LaMelo at number two, if I got to think about an NBA player who takes the cake, who never plays, who the hell is it? What number are we up to?
Number one. This is crazy because this guy has has been an all star. This is crazy. This is a guy who at one point in time is just like, oh my God, he's tall like Magic Johnson. He passes like Magic Johnson. He goes in transition like Magic Johnson.
Here's the thing. He doesn't have heart like Magic Johnson. He doesn't. Three time all star, all defensive team, rookie of the year. He's afraid to play basketball. And then his body won't let him. At number one, the top NBA player who never plays is Ben Simmons.
Come on now. This dude came out of LSU. People talked about his motor. He didn't play all year his rookie year with a foot injury.
OK, by the time he got to the end of being with the Philadelphia 76ers, Doc Rivers and the city of Philadelphia hurt his feelings because he was afraid that Trae Young was going to foul him and send him to the free throw line. His ego is fragile. OK, his brain is hurt. This man's back was cooked. People didn't know if he was telling the truth because his back was so screwed up. He legitimately had a back injury. In every off season since, we've had to get video and video in the summer of Ben Simmons working out.
You want to know how that's worked out? He played 42 games in a 2023 season. OK, this past season. Ben Simmons only played in 15 games. Ben Simmons is on an expiring contract.
He's been paid $177 million to do absolutely nothing. And with Ben Simmons, it's wash, rinse and repeat. It's play a couple of games in the season. It's get hurt.
It's have surgery. It's sit on the bench. It's wear a bright outlandish clothes, even though he's not playing.
It's go to Fashion Week. It's, you know, look fancy, you know, in the off season, take photos for Instagram, and then it's get hurt again. I don't know what he'll actually play basketball this year on an expiring contract, but you'd have to be an idiot to give him anything besides the minimum, regardless of what he does.
I mean, you want to this could be from any year, but I want you to listen to Ben Simmons from Nets Media Day in 2023. He was asked how it feels to be healthy. This is what he said. Amazing. I get to do my job. He was asked how it feels to be healthy. This is what he said.
Amazing. I get to do my job. And that's a blessing. You know, every day I don't take for granted.
I just come in here and do my job to the best of my ability. I'm grateful to be back and just on the court playing and doing what I love. That was from 2023. You know what?
This might as well be from 2024. Let's hear it again. Amazing. I get to do my job. And that's a blessing. You know, every day I don't take for granted.
I just come in here and do my job to the best of my ability. I'm grateful to be back and just on the court playing and doing what I love. Hey, listen, I can predict the future. Ben Simmons, who's coming off of a back surgery again.
What is Ben Simmons going to sound like in October? Let me hear it. Amazing. I get to do my job. And that's a blessing. You know, every day I don't take for granted. I just come in here and do my job to the best of my ability.
And I'm grateful to be back and just on the court playing and doing what I love. What a sham. Man got no heart, no heart, no guts.
He ain't got no glory. An NBA player who never plays. Ben Simmons is number one.
Let me give you a recap again. Kawhi Leonard at number six. Anthony Davis at number five. Zion Williamson at number four.
Joel Embiid at three. Lonzo and LaMelo Ball. Double deal. OK, two for the price of one. I got them at number two. Might as well be the same person.
They came from the same person. Ben Simmons. He's number one on the list. The top NBA player who does not play. What a disappointment.
Even even Greg Oden looks at Ben Simmons and is like, you're a disappointment, man. That's some work. Anyway, it's the J.R. Sportbree show here with you on the Infinity Sports Network. You want to call me? Feel free. Knock yourselves out.
Phone lines open. It's eight five five two one two forty two twenty seven. That's eight five five two one two forty two twenty seven. If I say name an NBA player who doesn't play. Hey, knock yourself out. Give me another name. We come back on the other side.
We'll also talk about, well, a couple of people who did play today and they did amazing. I'll fill you in. Look around. What do you see? Cars? Lots of them.
And guess what? They're probably on auto trader, whether you're into timeless classics or the latest trends. Did somebody say solar powered, eco friendly, vegan, leather wrapped, aroma therapy, scented disco ball equipped self driving car? If you see it on the road, you can likely find it on auto trader. Big cars, small cars, blue cars, new cars and used cars, electric cars. And one day, maybe even flying cars with millions of options to choose from.

Yeah. The top six list I just gave you. Top six NBA players who never play ever.
If you missed it, go ahead and hit rewind on the free Odyssey app. At number six, I gave you Kawhi Leonard. Number five, I gave you Anthony Davis. At number four, I gave you Zion Williamson. And number three, I gave you Joel Embiid. And number two, I gave you both Lonzo and LaMelo Ball. It's my list. I could put two people in one spot.
I do what I want. And number one, I gave you Ben Simmons. No debate.
No debate. You want to talk about the most injured player in the NBA. Ben Simmons. He is. He's the king.
He's the king. Takes these Instagram videos and photos working out and never plays. Goes to New York Fashion Week. Never plays. Has surgery on his back. Never plays. Before the season starts, he tells you he's in the best shape of his life. He's happy to be playing basketball. He comes back and he, yes, never plays. 855-212-4227.
That's 855-212-4227. When I talk about an NBA player who never plays, did I miss somebody? Is there another guy that's deserving to be on this list? I could think of a few guys.
I think Joel Embiid has a teammate that, I mean, deserves to be on this list, but I had to give a top six, not a seven or an eight. This portion of the show is brought to you by O'Reilly Auto Parts. I need you to think O'Reilly Auto Parts for all of your car care needs.

How about this? Alan is calling from Toronto. I wonder if Alan heard us talking about him earlier in the show.
Alan, did you hear us talking about you? No, we just, we only come on at eight o'clock because I'm in a Buffalo station now. We only get to Buffalo.
We don't get to Toronto. They're broadcasting Blue Jay games and just can't get it, but I do my very best to try and listen to you whenever I possibly can. You got to get, you got, well, thank you.
I'm like Wayne Gretzky. Thank you. You have to get the Odyssey app. You listen whenever you want. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. I'm going with Eric Gordon. He's kind of at the end of the line, you know, he had such great potential, you know, he attacks the rim and he lives at the free throw line, stout defender, and he's still a good shooter, one of the best in the business, but he's lost his quickness. He only played 22 games last, two years ago for the Clippers, 68 games last year for Phoenix. And that's the best he's done in about seven or eight years. That's the most he's played in about seven or eight years, constantly, constantly injured all the time. You know, it's a shame because he had the potential to be an all time great, you know.
Really? I don't, I never, I mean, I didn't think much of him out of Indiana. I'm like, he's good, but he looked too small of me. Yeah, he's, but for somebody his size, he was pretty good.
Yeah, he was. Well, I guess, well, look, first, it's tough playing in the NBA. It ain't easy playing in the NBA.
You gotta be 6'2", 6'3". He was a little chubby fellow for a while too. And he's a volume shooter. And being that small and being a volume shooter and, you know, you gotta face guys who are 6'6", and 6'7", is not the easiest thing.
And here's the other thing. He's not the most athletic. You think about guys who are his size, typically they're, I don't know, Donovan Mitchell, ridiculously athletic. You think about an Anthony Edwards, ridiculously athletic.
When I think about Eric Gordon, the last thing I think about is athleticism, you know. He's a free agent and I can't see anybody, any team in their rights or even going after him, you know. He's on Philadelphia.
That's done. They signed him. Okay, I think they're pretty dumb for signing him. As far as I know, he's gonna be a sixer. Yeah.
Well, they're pretty dumb. Well, look, they got, well, Alan, first of all, thank you for calling from Toronto. It was good chatting with you.
You listen on the Odyssey app, you don't miss anything, okay? Yeah, I'll keep that in mind too. Thanks very much. I'll keep that in mind.
Thank you so much. Well, take it easy, man. Yeah, enjoy the summer. I will. What's left of it? Thank you, Alan. I'll try my best. I only tell everybody to listen to the Odyssey app about, I don't know, 20 times a night for the past, I don't know, hickey, what, four or five years I've been here now?
I don't know. Time flies when you're having fun. Can't even remember how long you've been here for. I'm just, I'm still here, right? I'm still here. Still here.
That's the most important thing. You're still here. They haven't given me the boot like Kawhi, so I'm still, my knees work, so I guess they haven't cut me yet. Eric Gordon, that was an interesting one. Okay, I'll take it.
Do you think Eric Gordon's mom has said that she thinks he could have been an all-time great if he stayed healthy? Now, we've had this, me and you have had this conversation before, okay, about what you tell your kids and what you don't tell them. We've had this conversation. You should, you shouldn't listen to me. Everybody listen to me very carefully. Do not lie to your kids. Don't lie to them. If your kid sucks at a sport, tell them they, don't tell them that they suck, but tell them they need to go do something else. Like, I'm sure Eric Gordon's family, well, he was good. What else did they need to tell him, hickey? Like, what else are they going to tell him? That's true.
Maybe not go, you know, too overboard with the praise, but yes, he's definitely deserving of being called good and I'm sure in high school and college, you could say very good. Great. Here's a better question. You ready for this? Okay. I don't know what's going on because I'm on the air, despite what people think. I can see the score right now. Hey, I see a basketball score between the Miami Heat and the Lakers. It says it's 80 to 40.
I can, I can, I can, well, no, excuse me, sorry. That's how screwed up the stupid screen is. Whoever did this scoreboard for the summer league needs a slap. Well, nobody watches it, so I guess it doesn't matter.
Except for this game. Miami is beating the Lakers 80 to 76. Okay. I've seen Bronny James walk by one time. I don't know what Bronny's numbers are. We will look them up. We will tell you so we can tell you whether or not Bronny is good or bad.
And then we can kind of go from there. Now, having said that, a father to a son, what the hell do you think LeBron tells Bronny? Does he lie to him? He lies. He doesn't lie to him. He tells him the truth, right? But Bronny already knows the truth. I mean, does he tell him the truth? Because if he told him the truth, Bronny's not in summer league right now.
He's at USC practice. Oh no. Right? I mean, am I wrong? You calling, you calling LeBron James a lie? You saying LeBron James is lying to his son Bronny?
I'm just saying, you know, if we were being truthful, truth says outside of his last name, he does not deserve to be where he is right now. Maybe they don't discuss where he is, but where he can go. Uh huh. Hmm. Uh huh.
That's parenting 101, right? Uh huh. Do you want to know what Bronny's stats are for tonight? Oh boy.
Oh boy. Tell me, tell me what his stats are. Tell me.
Play 29 minutes. Okay. Wow. That's a lot. That's a lot of time.
Good amount of time. And starting lineup, he went one of three from the floor. Oh, that's not good. Three points.
Oh no. Five rebounds. Okay. Good. Three assists.
So help me out. That's three, five, and three. Three, five, and three out of the 10 guys that played. Uh oh. Um, he won two, only three guys scored less than him. Oh no.
Two guys off the bench outscored him. Oh, does it matter what he scored? That doesn't matter. This is, this is, yeah, sure.
But this is for the experience for Bronny. Right. Of course.
Because now we're moving the goalposts as LeBron would say, the stats don't matter. It's just, Hey, it's that he's doing it. Yeah. He's there.
This is no, it's true. Victor, Victor, I'm trying to help out. I, Victor, when Ben Yama was garbage in summer league last year, I think people look, Oh my God, this seven foot four pogo sticky sucks. Come on, man. This guy was busting ass.
He was, he was killing people. Rookie of the year. I'm not saying that Bronny is going to be rookie of the year.
He's not going to play enough games in the NBA to be rookie of the year. Um, so what happens now is dad sent him a text message, right? What do you think that text message says?
Great job. No, come on. I'm not lying that much. You know, LeBron and LeBron is getting ready to warm up. He's getting ready to play against, uh, Dylan Brooks. Okay. Oh, big one here. Dylan Brooks is fired up.
Yeah. Dylan Brooks is getting ready to elbow LeBron in the groin or something like that. LeBron had to tell Bronny. Hey, keep your head up, son.
That's it. Bronny goes back to his phone. Rich Paul is texting him. Bron, LeBron is texting him. His mom is texting him.
His grandma's texting him. Everybody keep your head up. You got this. Keep working.
Hickey. That's what you do. And sometimes you lie. Most of you should tell the truth, but some, you know, some circumstances and a lot of, see, this is, this is the art of not telling the full truth. Do you subscribe to the George Costanza ideology?
I'm not a fan of Seinfeld. Fill me in. It's not a lie. If you believe it. You know what? I like that.
That's why we got all these idiots out here lying to themselves. I like it. It's the JR sport B show here with you on the infinity sports network. 8 5 5 2 1 2 42 27.
That's 8 5 5 2 1 2 42 27. Not a good night for Bronny. A good night for you.
