This radio commercial was made to convince you to stop speeding.
We can't use siren sound effects on the radio, so we'll use other equally jarring sound effects to get your attention. Like telling you that whether you drive a little over the speed limit or a lot, you can crash just the same. You could hurt yourself or worse others. I'm at the scene of the collision. And the damage you cause will be beyond repair. See, we didn't have to use crash or siren sounds after all. Speeding catches up with you.

That's dell.com slash deals. This is the Rich Eisen Show Show. Wow, man. What's up? Hey, man, I've been waiting so long.
Gummies have kicked in. Live from the Rich Eisen Show studio in Los Angeles. When Lenny first called in, he was taking the bar exam, then the gummies kicked in and the Buccaneers are going to go 20-0. Today's guests, Bucks running back Rashad White, founder of Sharp Football Analysis, Warren Sharp, Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson. And now it's Rich Eisen.
That's correct. Welcome to this edition of the Rich Eisen Show. We're live in Los Angeles, California here on this second Tuesday of July in 2024. We're here for you all three hours on the Roku channel. If you're watching us, we appreciate that.
If you're listening to us, we appreciate that as well. We are live on this Rich Eisen Show, terrestrial radio affiliate, smart enough to have us. We're also live on Sirius XM, Odyssey, Tune In. We're also available on demand for you to listen to on our podcast through the Cumulus Podcast Network. Get us on every single spot where you get your podcast. There's our YouTube channel for those who need that backstop. And then of course, we re-air on the Roku channel all the time, right up until our next show.
And that's where we start this one for all three hours. Justin Jefferson, arguably the best wide receiver in the National Football League and the highest paid non-quarterback in the National Football League is making his way to this studio to hang with us in person in hour number three. Do not miss that.
And a lot of football on our brain. Warren Sharp, who's monster NFL preview guide is out today. He will be joining us from the ringer in Sharp Football Analysis in hour number two.
And Rashad White of the soon to be 20 and 0 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as we heard yesterday from a very high individual in Panama City, Florida. When you say hi, do you mean? No, no, no. Well, Lenny said the gummies kicked in. I don't know if Rashad's aware of Lenny in Panama City as we are now. Wake and bake. But anyway, he's going to be joining us in this program in 18 minutes time.
It's all good. And we're keeping an eye on what's going on in Wimbledon. Some great matches going on right now. Sinner and Medvedev having at it. Well, Carlos Alcaraz is dealing with an American right now on my behalf.
I'm not the only American who can get a point off of Alcaraz. Anyway, we're keeping an eye on all of that here on the program. Good to see you over there, Christopher Brockman. How are you? I'm great, man. What's the matter? What's going on? I'm waiting for the gummies to kick in.
No, please don't say such a thing. How are you, Jay Felley? Good to see you.
Good. How are you? I'm great. I'm great. Your staying power is remarkable, honestly.
You're like the Hanukkah oil that keeps burning. I have no idea when Del Tufo's coming back, but the feeling's mutual. You're here. Good to see you. Good to see you, TJ Jefferson. Candles lit over there.
Rich, the thing about the gummies, Chris, you got to take them about an hour. Oh, God. Oh, God.
Nevermind. Good to see you over there, sir. Hey, listen, I always come straight through the front door with you folks because I adore you and I appreciate you and here's the way I roll. Honesty, always. Second Tuesday in July.
Not much happening in the sports world. And when you're doing a show like this, you show up like, what can we talk about that is important? What can we talk about that's top of mind? What can we talk about that we believe you might be interested in and we share that interest and thus it becomes something that's more listenable and watchable because we're all talking about something of a shared interest and you're like, what are we going to do? We come in here, we talk, then TJ shows up, then he talks and then we come up with an idea.
I mean, just pulling back the layers. Yeah, absolutely. Okay. Again, we don't just talk here. We weave tapestries and we hang them in this museum of a studio.
Basically, what I'm saying to you is it's something that we're wondering that you might be interested in to talk about. And then Dak Prescott speaks. And then you look up at the sports gods and you say, thank you. You say, thank you. You say, thank you. Dak Prescott at a sports camp that he is running for youth, for children.
And yes, the children are our future on this program as well. Yes. And Dak was a headline because he was seen in a walking boot. He was seen in a walking boot, I guess on vacation. He's out and about. Somebody snapped a picture of him in a walking boot.
I don't know where that is. And he showed up today and everyone's like, what's up with the walking boot, Dak? Are you okay? And the idea that he's not okay just weeks before training camp, well, that would be news. So Dak Prescott, what's up with the walking boot?
Yeah, I'm great. Honestly, I'm getting older. It's the same ankle rate that I snapped and had a nasty surgery on four years ago.
So yeah, a couple of hard days of training and you get a little sore and then you're going on a fishing trip and you want to protect it and make sure that things don't get worse. So literally, it's just absolutely nothing. That's why people are reaching, trying to make things that they aren't. I'm getting older, have to take care of my body, have to be smart.
And if I can take precautions and lessening something about putting on a boot, I'm going to do it. And so sorry that it's because it's a world. Wow. So the media, it's our fault, creating something over someone's health and somebody who's getting older and is doing something to protect himself that we all look at as something that might be indicative of an issue of his present and future performance. And we're all reading into something that may or may not be viable to talk about and the media will just not stop until it gets an answer. In other words, Dak Prescott has become Joe Biden. That's exactly what's happening. The sports media has now become the political media. We will not stop until he drops out, until he drops out or falls down and gives us visual proof that we're all looking for.
Be the hero, Dak, Joe, Dak, 2024. That's what's happening. So now hold on a second. He is taking care of himself. He's on a fishing trip. You don't need to be slipping on a boat. How many of us have slipped on a boat?
I will just say this. Now I'm a 55 year old man. I'm getting older.
I don't know if you could see, I got a cut on the top of my head because I'm just walking into trunks doors that are open. Oh, and Susie's laughing her ass off every single time she's doing this. You've had eight doctors at your house. Dude, they're all visiting.
They're all visiting. Listen, I hear this. I'm like, isn't it more likely he'd slip on the boat in a walking boat? Yes. No, it depends on the bottom.
No, listen, no offense, Jay. This is where Del Tufo would help. I'm wearing a brace right now, just to say. You know more about braces. He knows more about boats. Put the two of you together. And man, you're just one super piece of information.
I've seen him fall in the boat. So breathe easy. I wasn't breathing hard. You weren't? No. Come on. You saw Dak Prescott in a walking boot in early July and you weren't thinking what's up with that?
No, because I can. It's preventative. I can take myself away from the media thing of thinking everything is a story and go three and a half years ago, this man's ankle snapped in half, right?
So maybe he's taking these precautions. It might be a mental thing. I know I dislocated my kneecap once. It took over a year for me to comfortably be able to walk down a set of stairs. And it was just because it was in my head that every time I walked down, my knee was going to give out.
So maybe he's got some. OK, I don't like I'm not. No, listen, he's he's admitting, hey, four years ago, I damn near slap snap my leg off. So these things are that's what I'm saying. It makes sense now then. But I know we have to make a story out of it.
So, yeah, I'm paying that if you were to step from the world. Well, now the question, since he is, I guess. Joe Biden, what about Project 2025 as in. His contract. You're making some people really upset, right? No, people should Google Project 2025 in all honesty.
Seriously, though, a lot of them in sports. No, no. What about his contract? Is he going to be a free agent in 2025 or not? Is he just going to walk away from the Dallas Cowboys or not? Are the Cowboys going to actually sign this man? Prior to this season and extend him. Well, not with the walking boot on. Absolutely not.
OK, can't do that. This is what he had to say about his current contract situation. Yeah, I mean, there's been conversations back and forth, but for the most part, for me, as you know, I've been let my agent do that, especially as we get right here to training camp. They want to training camp. My mind flips to just obviously helping my team and just doing everything I can within the organization and on the football field to make sure that I'm my best and everyone around me is their best. And the money and all that will take care of itself as it always has.
It's like the walking boot. Don't worry about it. It's there, but don't don't pay any attention to it. Care of itself. It'll take care of itself. I'll just keep repeating this until it happens.
I don't understand it. I do not under stand three weeks from training. Jordan Love is going to sign before week one before Jordan Love gets on that plane to Brazil. He is going. To sign a massive contract with the Green Bay Packers. It's going to happen. And yes. Sports fans.
Before. The Dolphins kick off their 2024 season to a Tongo Vailoa. Will sign a massive deal with the Miami Dolphins that will spark conversations as to whether he deserves it or not.
If you thought the Trevor Lawrence deal sparked conversation about the person who John Hancock that deserved it or not. That will be a mere bag of shells. Hold that beer. When Tua signs this contract, he's going to get it and he's going to sign it. And that's only going to make Dak's deal more expensive.
Get in while the get in is good. Is what I would say. And get it done before the guy shows up in Oxnard in a couple of weeks. I because the questions will become common for him and he knows it. He knows how to handle it.
He clearly handles himself. I, by the way. I'm going to be. Oh, I haven't told you this yet, so I might as well tell you this on the Air TJ. I'm going to be hosting a four hour inside training camp. Edition.
On NFL Network from Oxnard. Oh, yeah, the final Saturday of July. So how about that? If you want to come aboard, we're expecting you. You're inviting me? Yes.
Now four hours is kind of long, though. Understood. Not close. It's hot. I understand it's far away from his house. This guy, it is.
He just got new air conditioning as I did. If he doesn't sign before he sits on NFL Network with me, and I'm assuming he will. Just sign, I don't understand it. Well, maybe it's not being offered. It's not up to Dak. Maybe Dak is asking for 60 plus. Maybe he's asking for the pot.
Maybe he's asking to be the first 60 million dollar a year quarterback right now. You don't get what you don't ask for. I understand that.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take, right? Speaking of which. Yeah, it is the 25th anniversary of American Pie that we'll be discussing later on today. So, all right, that's your update.
How about that? That we got Dak Prescott sound bites that basically didn't advance a damn thing when we spent the first 15 minutes of the show on, but we got it. And also, we're just the first show to talk about it.
Everyone is going to talk about it today. By the way, maybe Dak isn't Joe Biden. Did you see his hat?
Oh, no. Did you see his hat? It's upside down. Maybe he's Sam Alito.
Maybe he's Sam Alito. Nice. Dallas is upside down. They've had that type of hat for the last couple of seasons. Is that what it is? I don't get it. Hats upside.
What's with the Dallas? Is that a message? Is that a message? That hat's been around for years. Is that a message of support?
I don't know. By the way, we got a tweet from a guy named Harold Sheely III. Sorry? We had a tweet from a watcher named Harold Sheely III who says, his ankles tend to swell up when on a boat for a long time at sea, let alone someone who broke their ankle like Dak. Just precautionary. Okay. So it's the salt water air that causes... We love our listeners and viewers just listening to us opine and wonder and they give us the answers.
So we don't have to worry about it. Now, who is this? This is Harold Sheely III. Did the gummies kick in for him too?
Third mob 721 is his ex-handling. Let's see where he's from. I could tell you... Dr. Eletrosh is now tweeting at us. We need all the gummy collars. He's a Cleveland Brown fan, so I would imagine he probably had to go through some gummies to get through some of those seasons.
844, 204 Rich, numbered adult. Guys, Justin Jefferson's gonna be here. My cousin is here. We just saw him. We asked him, where is the bag? And he was wondering the same thing. This update, he found the bag.
35 million a year back. That's a big bag. And he's here in support of the Netflix series Receiver that is going to premiere tomorrow. And you could see it on Netflix, which means you could see it right here on Roku. Devonta Adams, Deebo Samuel, Amon Ross St. Brown, Justin Jefferson, all chronicled in this series. Justin's gonna be here today.
And then tomorrow, George Kittle, who's chronicled in this series, will be here. Has George ever been here in person? I don't believe so.
Definitely not. Oh my gosh. On phone, on Zoom? No, he's here in person. We're excited to see George Kittle. And I'm excited to see the show Receiver on Netflix.
It is going to be as good as quarterback, we all assume. 844-204-rich, number to dial. When we come back, Rashad White of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will join us. You should as well.

What do you got over there? Oh man, Sinner and Medvedelli just took away the score. They're in the fifth set.
Fifth set, are they? Yeah, hold on. They just took it away. They just took the box away on the score. Hold on a second.
Now I gotta find it. Okay. I know that's not helping. That's all right. Alcarez and the American Paul. First set. Tommy Paul took the first set from Alcarez. Exactly. Showing it how it's done when an American takes on Alcarez. I can get a point, man.
You can't. Tommy Paul. 12th seeded Tommy Paul in Wimbledon took the first set from Carlos Alcarez. Medvedev is up 2-1 in the fifth set. Sinner on third.
Yeah, he won the third set tiebreak and then Sinner took the fourth set, 6-2. Correct. Now here we go. Can I say something that is definitely not high quality tennis analysis?
Yes, please. Sinner's tall. No, is Sinner the least Italian looking person in the history of Italy? I want to find out his heritage. So his mom must be Italian, I'm guessing?
I don't know. I'm just wondering. And his name is Yannick. Yannick Sinner. Yannick Sinner.
That's not exactly a... You think he's, you know, from Scandinavia. Yeah, exactly. Right? Look at us. This is high quality tennis analysis right now.
Phone lines are lighting up. The fans want to play the win-loss game, man. He grew up in northern Italy in the German-speaking region of South Triol. There you go. A competitive skier when he was a kid. That's it. That's it. Back on the Rich Eisen Show radio network. I'm sitting at the Rich Eisen Show desk furnished by Grainger.
With supplies and solutions for every industry, Grainger has the right product for you. Call clickrainger.com or just stop by. Rashad White is supposed to stop by from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We'll hear from him shortly. You know, we come back from our dark week yesterday. We've been off for a week, which means it had been a while since one of the members of our crew spent part of his time going down the rabbit hole of YouTube commenters. So you're back, huh, TJ?
You're back? I mean, I have to. All right. I have to. No, you don't. You don't have to. I can't. I can't leave you two alone. The game needs me. No, but why? Why do you why do you go down the the rabbit hole of of like I'll I'll occasionally look at what what the comments are.
But I guess those are two things is why do you go so deep and why do you take it to such hard? And which one is the thing that pissed people off from yesterday? We're back from the dark week. And what did we do?
What do we do? Oh, who do we piss off? Well, everyone who didn't think that Brawny James should have been drafted. They came to our comment section.
And what and what did what was the comment? Oh, man, that the take was trash. The show is trash. We're trash. No, but it's seriously. Yeah. That Brawny didn't deserve it.
You know, just everything that we've been hearing, they all collectively just again. So the take is trash and the take is basically like what skin is off of anyone's nose that the fifth to last selection in the entire draft was used by the Lakers to take LeBron's son was rich. Someone out there worked very hard.
And that could have been no, I didn't have it because the Lakers picked Bonnie. That's a lot of that. Nice. Is that Hulk Hogan? Yes, about to say yeah, bro. It was very macho man.
Macho man was very very savage. Even I even I picked up on also rich. I'm just looking at the dolphins video where you said they should be the favorites to win the AFC East. Yes. The first comment. Yeah.
Mount Baldwin. My condolences. Dolphin fans. Your team has just been hit with the rich eyes and says X should win their division first.
I don't know about you, but that looked like money. Also, Rich, we can't always talk so much about videos and not give credence to these comments. I'm sorry. I'm a second. Hold on a second. I'm no I'm aware that I hopped off the Chiefs bandwagon two years ago. Yeah, that's like three comments down.
I'm a very no I'm aware of that. Remember Rich Raiders was supposed to win last year. Last year I chose the Lions to win their division, right? I chose the Chiefs to win their division.
What else did I choose? I chose the Bills to win their division again, I think. Or did I take the Jets cheese? I think you took the Jets, yeah.
I didn't say the Dolphins are winning their division. We haven't made that decision yet. No. But see what I'm doing right now? I'm letting that go. I'm letting go of somebody who took a shot at me on my own digital channel page. I'm letting it go. I understand that. You could say that, but I believe it. I'm letting that go.
Are you? The thing, though, that I just want to offer pushback one more time is I've been on a draft set with Mike Mayock who gets very upset, or got very upset, when we didn't go deep into the analysis of a guy that just got drafted and instead we're just kind of messing around, having a jocular moment, you know, like the kid's been drafted, this is his special moment, we should treat every draft choice like every snowflake is to be treated like, you know, special. He was down for the tomfoolery, you know, especially when he said at one point that he was a beavers guy, you know, in that Chicago draft, right?
I can't say what I want. No, anybody can google that. Anybody could google that moment. What I'm saying, though, is when the orangutan was choosing, was announcing the Colts draft choices at the Philadelphia draft and we're just having fun, like who's the orangutan gonna, you know, announce next for the Colts? And he's basically like, if we go back to that chimp one more time, he's losing it. He's losing, he got very upset, at which point I believe it was Charles Davis who pointed out that it wasn't a chimpanzee, it was an orangutan, like he pushed back that he was factually incorrect. Well, they're very different.
They are. Which sent Mike into more of a rage, which Daniel Jeremiah enjoyed and pressed, you know, the pressure a little bit more, but so I understand the mentality of somebody worked very hard to get that opportunity and it went to Brawny instead. I get that. But when it all comes down to it, you're running the Los Angeles Lakers and you can make this happen. And you can make it happen for a very important employee.
You could make it happen for your staff that is very hard working to get attention on your franchise. And you also maybe think the kid's good. Who cares?
And you want to make history. I will always say I have no problem with that. Now, again, like I said, if LeBron wasn't any good anymore and they also used this maybe draft choice in the first round, now you got yourself a conversation. That's a different story. It sure is. That's what I said.
I don't think that take is trash at all. So, but keep reading those comments. I'm just letting you know what the people. Let you know you're alive. You know what I mean? Let's know you feel like you're alive.
You step right up to the line. And the Dolphins, I didn't say that they're winning the division. I said that they have a great chance to win the division. And I think they're favorites to win the division.
And I might choose them to win the division when it all comes down to it. Because they have the fastest team in the NFL. I don't think there's any argument about that. They have a trigger man, if he stays upright, who can deliver the ball exactly the manner in which the receivers need it. And the coach wants it delivered. And the coach is a genius, I think.
And he's entertaining in his own right. But they just have to make sure they, as I said yesterday, there's no other team in the National Football League that I think needs to have a home field advantage more than the Dolphins. And it's not because the fans are such full-throat that it's difficult for the opposition to operate in their building. It's just that they have a more difficult time operating as the opposition in someone else's building. Certainly, if that building is 20 degrees below zero. That's their, that's their challenge.
And also to get their top defenders back. 844-204 Rich, number to dial here on the Rich Adson Show. Let's go to Dan in New York. You're here on the program. What's up, Dan? You there, Dan? I am. What's up, Dan?
You're on the air, sir. All right. Oh my god. I was just looking forward to doing our win-loss for the 4th time. Oh my god.
I was just looking forward to doing our win-loss for the 49ers. Where are you in New York, Dan? Uh, New Windsor. Oh, very good. All right.
Little upstate. Okay, Dan. Here's, here's two things. I need you to look alive here.
You know, you're playing the win-loss game. You gotta be alive. You gotta, you gotta, you gotta give me this. You gotta give me the, the A-plus, Dan, okay? You ready for that? All right. Let me, let me start off with saying Brock Bertie is, uh, considered Mr. Irv- Irv- irrelevant, but I'm telling you right now, he's gonna turn out to be the next Tom Brady.
I like that moxie. Here we go. First up, Dan in New York, San Francisco 49ers. Um, home against the Jets. What happens? Uh, we're gonna take that one.
I hate to say it, Rich. At the Minnesota Vikings. Definitely a win. At the Rams. Oh, we, we should take that one. 3-0 home for the Patriots.
Definitely win at that. 4-0 home for the Cardinals. Uh, Tyler Murley. Tyler's tough, but we're, we're gonna take that one. 5-0 at the Seahawks on a Thursday night. Uh, we have such a rivalry with the Seahawks. We're taking that. 6-0 home for the Chiefs. Chiefs? Oh man, that's like our ultimate poison.
I'm aware of that. That, that, that might, it's at the Chiefs. No, you're home. Oh, if it's home, we're winners.
Fill the jeans. 7-0 home for the Cowboys. Cowboys. Yeah.
Now we've had a rivalry with them since the 90s. We're gonna win that one. That's right. Damn. You're gonna win it?
Yep. 8-0 at the bye week. Home for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
At the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We're gonna win that one too. Oh, Rashad White's listening. Sorry, Baker. Say sorry to Rashad.
He's listening. Uh, 9-0 home for the Seahawks. That's another win. 10-0 at the Packers. Packers, Jordan Love.
We've had a rivalry with them for years since Brett Favre. We're gonna win that one. 11-0 at the Bills. Bills.
At the Bills. We might lose that one. So that's your first loss. 11-1 home for the Bears. Home for the Bears. We're gonna show up that rookie and beat him. 12-1 home for the Rams on a Thursday night.
On a Thursday? That's us. 13-1 at the Dolphins. At the Dolphins. We're used to the heat. We're gonna take that one.
Okay. 14-1 home for the Lions on a Monday night. Uh, Koff might get us on a Monday night.
Alright, then at the Cardinals. That's a win. 15-2. Going back to the Super Bowl. Dan in New York. Maybe a little redemption. Thanks for the call, Dan. It's Dan in New York, everybody. What was the second L he said they'd take?
Uh, the Lions at home. Okay. I think he also, did he call Kyler Murray Tyler Murray? Very good. Joining us now here on the Rich Eisen Show from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, getting ready for his PDQ Fantasy Draft giveaway is Rashad White. How are you, Rashad? I'm doing good.
My fault. Let me back the camera up. But I'm doing good. How you doing? I'm good.
Did you pull off to the side of the road somewhere, Rashad? No, honestly, I just got done at the facility. I just got done training. It's been a long morning for me. Okay.
Okay. So you're at your, that's the facility right behind you, out the back window of your car. Yeah, yeah. This is the Buccaneers, you know. It's the Florida facility right here. Rashad, I mean, training camp's right around the corner. Shouldn't you be, shouldn't you be somewhere in France?
Shouldn't you be somewhere not in your car outside the facility working out, Rashad? No, no, no, no. I'm locked in. I'm locked in. But after this car, I got to go get body work. But right now I'm just locked in, you know, I'm locked in.
It's year three for me. I'm, you know, I'm expected to be here. All right. I just want to make sure you're not locked in your car. That's just the phrase you're using, right? No. Yeah. You know, that's just a phrase we use today. Good.
Just want to make sure. Making dad jokes of Rashad White here on The Rich Eisen Show. Okay. So, so why, why are you, when you say you're locked in, like walk me through your mindset process. I mean, that you're working out on July 8th at the facility that you're going to be spending pretty much your every waking moment in for months to come, Rashad. While I'm working out here, I love my strength and conditioning coaches here.
So they put together a great plan for me. I was healthy. I played 19 games with no injury last year, just doing this and going the same route that I did last year, you know, to try to stay healthy and they know my body and I know my body and, you know, just kind of just this is where I want to be. So if I was to train anywhere else, it'd be Arizona. Obviously, I went to Arizona State, but it'd be with like Nick Hill and Exo out in Arizona. But we'll see how Nick off season unfold if I go down there. But right now, I love it out here, Florida.
You can't complain and you like on a vacation every day out here. So what is your goal for this year? Do you write these things down, Rashad? Yes, sure.
Yeah, for sure. You write down a lot of goals. You know, obviously the biggest goal, obviously we want to win.
I won eight games by rookie year, nine games last year. I'm at least trying to triple that. We're trying to triple that total this year. So I mean, I'm looking for us to win at least 12, 13 games. Obviously, a lot of people not, but it is what it is under my team, what I believe in that.
Obviously, my goals is to do whatever I can, you know, help the team win. We've been last or 25th to last the past five or so, six years. I mean, even with the Super Bowl, when it comes to rushing, Tampa Bay has been down bad. So my goal and what I expect me to do is turn that around and us to be top 10, top 15, top 12 at the minimum. And then obviously it's not been a thousand yard rusher here in like what, nine years. And obviously I was 10 yards shorter that last year.
So I'm going to make sure I'm not, you know, nearby shorter that this year and go well over that thousand yards. And then the scrimmage yards just don't speak for themselves just because I always just been good catching the ball and didn't have the wrong routes out the backfield. So, and I got Mike Gavin, Chris Godwin, we got Jay Mack, we got Trey Palmer. I got a lot of guys with a lot of speed and obviously on the outside and they do what they do speak for themselves.
So much of them are out in space and, you know, I'm taking myself over a lot of defenders any day of the week. Well, the neat thing you just, as you just mentioned Rashad, and it's something that you couldn't control, but Jason, like the general manager could, is to bring back as many of the players on offense from last year's successful playoff season for this year. And I mean, my gosh, the fact that, as you pointed out, Evans and Godwin are back, you're back, Baker is back.
What's the difference do you think between this year and last year, Rashad? I mean, I believe our, I mean, our team, we, when I looked at even before I got in the league, obviously the team was full of veterans and older guys. And then when I came in, it kind of like, you've seen this charts transform into the young guys and young players had to step up.
So while I look at it, going into, you said, what's the difference? I believe it's a lot of good about young players that was rookie last year. Obviously I was in my second year last year.
They go, they go into year two and I'm going into year three. I had a lot of guys that came in with me too, that made awesome plays. I mean, our tight end came out and like, he's a sleeper, just guys like that. That's going into year three, like me, Luke, Luke, get a G on our online, right tackle, like just a lot of our young guys, that's like coming into year three or year two. That's you know, we all put pressure on ourself, have a standard for ourself and have expectations for ourselves to, you know, make that next jump. And so that's what, what I see. And then, you know, like you said, the veterans, the older guys that we got in legends and I mean, that's been pro bowlers and all pros be the, on the defensive end, Levante, we got fleas back there with Jordan Whitehead. Like when I just look at our roster and our team, I just like how we match up against like a lot of teams in every game. And obviously it just comes down to, you know, our playmakers and us being locked in that day and to get up Sunday for us to, to win. So it was good.
Like you said, I was listening in on a call. I don't know who he was, but I mean, that's good that, you know, that they believe that they're going to go 15 and two and things like that. I mean, cause our team, I believe that we're going to go like, you know, 13 and four or 12 and five and things like that. So, yeah. I mean, you're referring to a caller that, well, while you were about to join us playing our win loss game for the 49ers and he did say 15 and two, we did have a caller from Panama city, Florida yesterday, Rashad, who said the Buccaneers weren't going to lose a game this year.
17 and O regular season, three and O playoffs, 20 and O super bowl Rashad. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. And obviously that's our goal, man. That's our goal. We've seen how we finished off last at the end of the season, man.
So it's nothing but good vibrations, good vibes coming in this year. And that's what our team, we feed off of. Like I said, we, of course, like the bunch have been slept on team for years and you know, they didn't have a trials that we didn't have our trials and tribulations.
Obviously I'm gonna say we now, cause I'm here and I know the history of it, but you know, times have changed and now it's time for us to take that next step. Like I said, I want eight games my rookie year, one nine my last year. It's time to take that step to get well over that and not just barely make the playoffs or barely win the division, win the division, how I know we shoot the division. Well, one individual part of the offense last year, Rashad White, who's not there is now Dave Canales, who is the head coach in Carolina. Liam Cohen, the new offensive coordinator. What are you free, willing to inform us about how the offense might be different this year? Like I said, the biggest thing, I think the offense would be different. It'd just be a lot for us, just more creativity, getting guys in more, more spots that we really kind of, I feel, excel at.
And obviously I say the biggest thing, like I said, is rushing. Our rushing attack will be way better. Our run game will be way better. Obviously, we added Graham. We got depth. Like I said, same thing, Cody Mott going into the second year, our right guard, our left guard. We picked up two guys, one from New York and, you know, one from, one from Philadelphia.
We got Tristan, man, you can't never go wrong with that. And we beat up on our line and just our camaraderie. So I say our run game will be way better.
And that's all we need. I mean, like I said, we got a lot of guys on the outside, receivers that make plays, don't do what they do. Our run game come along like we wanted to, like Liam wanted to. And like all the guys we got and that buy into it, like I said, it's going to take this team and the whole game, our whole game to a whole nother level. Rashad White here on the Rich Eisen Show. Before we get to your camp, what, what, what, what did Baker bring to the team last year that now that he's signed, sealed and delivered to be your guy can be enhanced this year? Do you think, Rashad? I thought what I thought breaker brought is just his charisma, his hungriness, his chip, his attitude, his demeanor, everything about him. That's what we love, man.
And, and a lot of people, it's crazy. I was getting questions like, would you take him over Baker? Would you take him over Baker? A lot of people think I'm biased with things like that, but when it comes to quarterback, I look at just more of the stats. I look at it for me as a, as a player, obviously a ballplayer who would, I mean, obviously I didn't play with all the quarterbacks besides TV. And obviously I'm born at war with TV too, with Tom Brady, but when Baker come in, he brought that and he, you know, what he did is help the team and helped us buy in to what he had and his vision and his goal too.
And, you know, we got a bunch of like underdogs and that's how our team is anyway, it's made up of. So it was easy for him to come in and fit in and, you know, he didn't do too much and then his swagger and things like that. It was just awesome, man. So his leadership, I say it was the huge thing that was the huge component in, you know, that like that you run like, and I said, I've seen Kaleidocansie say that like last week or so on the interview, like you really have run through a brick wall for him.
Cause you know, he had run through a brick wall for you. What's your fantasy draft giveaway with PDQ Rashad? What is that? My fantasy draft giveaway? Yeah. I believe it's a jersey.
It's a jersey of mine. So I think we try and do some stuff to show love and, you know, just give back to the community and get back to obviously fantasy owners. Cause you know, we see a lot of ballplayers and things like that, you know, saying they don't really care about the fantasy world and stuff like that, but we take it a different approach. You know, I mean, I care about fantasy. I mean, care about the people if that's what they passionate and that's what they love. Cause obviously I'm doing what I'm passionate, what I love about love to do every day. So, you know, I don't see nothing wrong with that now, you know, death threats and things like that, you know, I mean, of course you want to chill, but I don't think people really like serious. I mean, they could be, but, and you shouldn't play like that, but you know, it's just emotion, man. And that's what you can ask for.
That means somebody doing something that they passionate about it. Obviously they believed in you and, you know, you let them down, but I just try to tell fantasy owners that, you know, that we're not trying to let you down because obviously we're not trying to let our stuff down and we got an expectation. We got to stand up for ourself. We got what we trying to do and get out of every game as well. So I try to get them to understand that. Other than that, yeah, we just try and do some giveaway jerseys and give away footballs and just things like that to try to, try to make sure they know that, you know, we care about what they do and what they passionate about.
And we appreciate they support and love. Where, where, where am I drafting you in fantasy this year? Where, where, where am I, where am I doing that? Man, I mean, that's something you got to tell me, but if I was to tell anybody, I say, drive me first round. Yeah. No, I mean, you know, the touches, like how many touches are you going to get Rashad?
I mean, let's, let's be straight up. Like what, what's the touches we're going to see per game here. You asked me something.
I don't know. I had to call coach Liam real quick on my other phone. But, but now I mean, I'm pretty sure I have a great amount of touches just being honest, but you know, it just all depends how the game swing, you know, sometimes that's just how it go, but I'm pretty sure I have a great amount of touches. But last year I had like 300 something. And in order to get to the stats, I'm trying to get to this year.
And what I'm trying to do, I mean, my boy told me like, I'm gonna have to have 300 something again. So now 300 touches. What does he pro where's pro football focus out of this man, Rashad, pro football focus as you RB 11, 11 ESPN, a little more disrespectful 13. That's not right.
We can't have this got me at what ESPN has you at RB 13. Yeah. Oh, okay.
I would disagree that that's okay. Yeah. I mean, you know, that's some stuff. Yeah. It just ain't no comment, man. I'm gonna go out there and let my game speak for itself. I see a lot of stuff, but I'm not about to go back and forth from the article or no, you know, or the, or people that's just, or analysts, you know, let's go out there, let my game do the talking. We'll see. That's right.
Rashad. Like we will see. I love it. And you got your first youth football camp in Tampa a week from today. So that's coming up for you, right? Yes. Yes.
Yes. So, uh, yeah, that'd be huge, especially out here in Tampa, man. Uh, I got a lot of love for Tampa, man. Uh, I try to do a lot of great things in this community. So yeah, we got, uh, you know, the first youth football camp come, uh, coming up Monday, June 5th, uh, July 15th. And yeah, you know, we're trying to, you know, keep it going every year. And, um, you know, I'm trying to have a spectacular, I want the kids to come out and have fun. The parents will come out and just enjoy, see their kids and be out there with me and my team and what we got going on to help them develop in football and giving some, some fundamentals with some game that, you know, they could try to take with them. But the biggest thing, like I said, they come out there and have fun and compete against one another and just enjoy it.
They show them, show themselves, show who they are, their personality, their character, and just let it all hang loose. Flexworks, sports.com slash camps to go sign up for the first youth football camp from Rashad White. Good to see you Rashad. Appreciate the time.
Good to see you too. You got it. Thank you guys, man. You got it. Yeah.
That's by the way, uh, just so you're aware, um, I've been told the best workouts are always followed up by a chat on the Rich Eisen show. So you're welcome. Oh yeah. That's love, man. Thank you. That's it. The endorphins will be flying Rashad White right here on the Rich Eisen show after a workout RB 11, RB 13. That's that cool at all.
13, a little 13 has got to be low. By the way, the, the league I want to win the most last year, the championship team, they won back to back. So they are in our poker league. Absolutely. The smack talk is awful to be around Rashad White was their lead running back. Let's take a break.
8 4 4 2 0 4. Rich there's a name change in the national football league. We need to let you know about. We all know about the speed of sound, but have you ever thought about the sounds of speeding? If you drive over the speed limit, there are lots of different sounds that you might hear drive too fast. And you could hear the sound of your vehicle crashing, the sound of ambulances and first responders, desperately trying to free you from the wreckage. You could hear the beeps of a heart monitor. You could hear doctors and nurses in an emergency room as you're being treated for your injuries. You could hear the sound of worried family members in the hospital waiting room, hoping to hear that you're okay. You could even hear the sound of people crying at a funeral because if you drive over the speed limit, whether by a lot or by a little, you could do damage. That's beyond repair. You could seriously injure yourself or worse. You could hurt and even kill someone else.
When you speed, you put everyone on the road in danger, one way or another speeding catches up with you paid for by NHTSA. What is it? What would you take a look at Nick Saban? Nick Saban is the kind of stepfather that regardless of how different he may seem to you, in every single Christmas card photo, his hair has been the exact same since he married your mother. He's also the kind of stepfather that wears dress pants and then a, you know, a white tank top undershirt all the time unless he leaves the house and then he puts on the dress shirt.
Former 49er head coach, current Michigan head coach, Jim Harbaugh. Be gentle here. You'd be having a conversation with him, you think it's going really great and then he just all of a sudden gets a look on his face and he goes, what was that?
And your heart just goes into your throat and you think you've said something horribly wrong and you instantly start thinking about all the things that you could possibly be getting in trouble for. Do we have Tom Sula? Yeah, we have bonus line. You got Tom Sula? Yeah, I've got this one. What about your current niner head coach? He is the kind of guy that we will be having a conversation with you and he'll never be looking at you and he'll be going, how was your day?
You got a good day and you start telling him how your day was and then he'll always go, hey honey, what's for dinner? No matter what you're talking about. So let me, can we try? Can we try?
Yeah, you'd be bearing your soul. Yeah. So hold on a minute.
So I'll be your stepson. Okay. Richie, how was the day? That was great. Dad, let me tell you about what was going on here. Hey honey, have you seen the clicker?
Where's the clicker? Fun stuff. So we all know the Bills drafted Josh Allen at quarterback. A year later, the Jacksonville Jaguars drafted a defensive lineman named Josh Allen. And then a few years later, famously, when the Bills played the Jaguars, the Jacksonville Josh Allen sacked the Bills Josh Allen. The first instance when the NFL started recording a sack in 1982, first instance of a namesake sacking a namesake.
Never happened. And then the Jacksonville Josh Allen in 2021 just took that a step further. He picked off a namesake. By the way, still the only quarterback Josh Allen of Jacksonville's ever picked off and then had a sack force fumble recovery trifecta on Josh Allen. And when the Jaguars played the Bills in London last year, it was a lot of fun talking to Jacksonville's Josh Allen, who's like, it drives me nuts when I'm referred to as the other Josh Allen. Well, that has now come to an end because today Jacksonville's Josh Allen says, I now wish to be known as Joshua Heinz Allen, a hyphenated phrase that pays homage to his family name. Heinz Allen, his sister plays for the Washington Mystics is known as Heinz Allen. And it is a nod to his mom and the women in his family to be known as Heinz Allen. He now also wants to be known as Joshua Heinz Allen. And I guess it's as good as time as any to say on Thursday show?
Indeed. Joshua Heinz Allen is slated to be here. So we have to change all of our promotional items to say Joshua Heinz Allen is going to be here. Now, how wild would it be if in Buffalo today, the announcement is being made that their new quarterback wants to be known as their quarterback wants to be known now as Joshua Heinz Allen?
That would be uncool. Where he uses his middle name? I'm Joshua Patrick Allen. What is his name?
Joshua Patrick Allen. Is that right? Yeah. I mean, I got an email today from the NFL Network desk to say, hey, we're going to be changing everything around. Jaguar's star changed his name to Joshua Heinz Allen to honor his family. And they're going to have a jersey exchange event in Jacksonville in September that Heinz Allen will host for fans who own his Allen 41 jersey to swap it out in a family friendly event. That's great. So he's not changing his number, right?
He's just still going to be 41. I'm assuming. We're just adding the Heinz in the dash.
I love it. So his sister Maisha Heinz Allen plays for the Mystics. His sister Kyra Heinz Allen played at Chaney University. His sister LaTori Heinz Allen played basketball at Virginia Tech. And he's going to be playing basketball at Virginia Tech. And he's going to be playing basketball at LaTori Heinz Allen, played basketball at Virginia Tech in Townsend. So Joshua Heinz Allen on Thursday's show.
Justin Jefferson later on this Tuesday show in studio. His uncle is in the Hampton University Athletics Hall of Fame, drafted by the Golden State Warriors in the fifth round of the 1983 NBA draft. His uncle's name is Gregory Hines. It's not the Gregory Hines, right?
I don't think he played in the league, so. Super hot take. I already regret what I'm about to say. Oh don't. By the way, understand whatever you're about to say, Joshua Heinz Allen is going to be sitting in this chair in two days. No, I was going to take down the other Josh Allen.
Okay. The Bills' Josh Allen should change his name because the Jags' Josh Allen is better. If you have the same name and one guy's better than the other, the one who's the last should change their name. Why is he changing his name?
That's your man. You could make the argument he's better at playing defense than Josh Allen is at playing offense. Well he's not doing this again because of the quarterback in Buffalo.
Look at you. He's doing this to honor his family. Uncle Keith Heinz played basketball at Montclair State. Yeah, but you can't tell me that the other Josh Allen doesn't play a little part, like he's sick of sharing the name with him.
He wants to be known. He's done with it, right? Yeah. Does Jacksonville play Buffalo this year? Oh no. Look it up. They think they will, right?
Because they're... Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah. Week two. Week three. Three. Three?
On a Monday night in Buffalo. Hey, Western New York, Joshua Heinz Allen is coming for Josh Allen. Joshua Patrick Allen?
Is that what you're saying? Joshua Patrick Allen. Warren Sharp. I don't know his middle name. He's coming up next.
They would somehow settle it. Binge seasons one through four of Talkville before season five begins, wherever you listen.
