Damian Lillard is one of the few NBA players in history to surpass 20,000 points. We've talked about Angel Reese and Kaitlyn Clark being named the Sporting News Athletes of the Year. We talked about Tommy DeVito and his Pizzagate issue. It's kind of crazy. Yeah, we've even talked some some NFL.

NFL going soft and talked about the Eagles to open up the show and they look like crap here towards the stretch run. So be here for one more hour. And a matter of fact. Oh, by the way, thank you to our producer Andrew Scarpacci. Hey, Andrew, you're doing a good job, man.

Did I tell you that? Thank you, man. I greatly appreciate it. No problem.

You got it. You got to let them know. You let them know when they're doing great.

So everybody knows anyway. Well, well, Andrew, let me let me ask you this. As we talked about John Marant, we'll hear from him and we'll hear from Damian Lillard. And I know we had a referee call us and tell us how crazy it is to be a ref right now, even at the high school level. What are your thoughts, man? I mean, you're younger than me. What are your thoughts on on what you've seen at games?

Are parents out of control? And like, well, what is your opinion on this? I worked in college athletics all my years doing games and there was never any issues. I've been to probably hundreds of games between all the ones I worked for athletics or radio or something or doing P.A. But at the youth level, I did high school baseball.

Same thing. I don't really remember. Oh, actually, no, there was. We did have one incident where my school played another school and the kids went at it after the game. And then the coaches, our coaches went at it. And then the parents started yelling about the coaches. That was only one major, major incident, though. And I remember we were playing the same team the following day at our school. The game before was at theirs and they had to bring security from both schools to the game that day to make sure nothing happened.

Yeah, man, it gets it gets nuts. I mean, in other parts of the world, people will have games and sporting events with no fans because the fans don't know how to act. So when it's time to have the next match, the next game, it's just players and referees out there like this. There's there's no fans just to try to keep everybody in check.

It's unfortunate, but in a lot of cases, it seems necessary. Eight five five two one two for CBS. It's eight five five two one two for CBS. I'm going to get back to the calls momentarily.

I do want to let you know and I just mentioned this. John Morant did return tonight following his twenty five game suspension. I can start detailing why waving around them guns and the Memphis Grizzlies. They beat the Pelicans in New Orleans one fifteen to one thirteen. John Morant finished the night with thirty four points, eight assists and six rebounds. And then he also had the game winning shot. I want you to listen to this game winner by John Morant.

This is courtesy of the Grizzlies radio network. Ball into the backcourt for Morant. Eight seconds. Seven seconds. Jones waits beyond the three point line. Four seconds. Three seconds.

Morant in the lane. Spins. Hangs. Floats.

It's good. Zeros on the clock. Morant wins the game.

It is returned. Twenty five games later, the Grizzlies have shown they are going to make a charge back into the Western Conference picture. Now, I made this point earlier, like slow down on getting back into the Western Conference picture, like win another game first and then win another game. And then how about you get closer to five hundred?

They have a record of seven and nineteen. What is John Morant going to hit a game winner every single opportunity, every game? Like, let's slow down. Anyway. Hey, Andrew, John Morant, he spoke at a press conference afterwards.

Yes, he's in on TNT. Oh, so there's even more. Let's listen to John Morant talk about how this was a storybook ending. I've been playing working, man. I play a game eight months. Had a lot of time, you know, learn myself. A lot of hard days, you know, where I went through it. But, you know, basketball is, you know, my life, what I love.

Therapeutic for me. And I'm just, you know, excited to be back. OK. Yeah, that was him talking to Stephanie Reddy. Well, congratulations to him. They're going to take on the Indiana Pacers. That'll be on Thursday. That'll be his first home game back. And then on Saturday, for all my folks listening here in Atlanta, John Morant is going to be playing here on Saturday night.

So go ahead, try to get some tickets and take your kids. The last time John Morant was here, man, that place was just there were all types of kids. I'm not going to say I couldn't believe it, but I'm looking all over the place and I'm like, everybody under five feet tall was running around in a John Morant jersey. I felt like it was a convention. I'm like, what is this? Kids love them. Somebody called up earlier in the show and goes, hey, why are we hyping up John Morant?
