Get ready. It's one of America's most important, influential and respected voices on cultural and political issues and apologist Christian political advocate and author. Here is the founder and chairman of the America foundation, Dr. Chris, welcome the Christian perspective, only looking God's word in order to develop a Christian worldview in modern culture. I'm Chris she's in.

I have one of my dear, dear friends, is a special yesterday.

I'm excited about the show but want to have him on for a long time are our guest today is Andrew green Andrew is the national youth engagement director for citizens for America and the executive director and president of students for America this past year. Andrew just felt God God calling on his life to try to find a way to reach the next generation for Jesus specifically targeting students on college campuses across the nation and and as covert kind of pull back for a while and college campuses began to reopen.

Andrew started opening what we call chapters which are really just like clubs on college campuses around the world for his new organization called students for America, where students can go meet with like-minded students on Christian campuses and start to develop a biblical worldview in order to change the culture for Jesus Andrew.

I'm so excited to have you with us today. Ladies and gentlemen welcome Andrew green and Andrew is exciting. So tell us a little bit about your background you you grew up, I believe in the mountains of North Carolina, just a little bit about you and they will start talking about citizens or students for America court to be on your data log, but I grew up in the mountains of North Carolina, near North Carolina, but the University I grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere. 30 minute red light and corrupt. Very glad that a large family or brother and I bring them on the preaching dad.

My dad was a bad bill back to the thinker by way Baptist Church over 25 years now and I have it. But we could family my older brothers now have to earn a recounting of 12 andů I grew up learning the value of our work in the Christian work ethic and my dad know that you not. He had chores every day and you know from there you know God really help me by and I did never think of going all by my family.

Everyone all day but it was a rally in Columbia, South Carolina, we would God rally where I heard them talking about how we need more than people to get involved in the clinical arena and I heard the call andů Made them early and would call them but as you know you want later in February.

The next dear.

I left my job and God showed me an avenue to get school and then get involved the world and it bent and made thing ever spent in God really blocked every step of the way I've been extremely blessed God's open a lot of doors for you and it's so exciting to see soon as you're a young man in your early 20s, but God is literally had given you the opportunity to be around some of the world's most powerful leaders in and I know taking your story little further.

I know from as he opened doors and you moved to the DC area that you really begin have a passion for reaching college students across the country of her folks you don't know their their different organizations on college campuses union others organizations that support the life movement and some that support conservative and political movements like TP USA, but I know you share with me Andrew, there's not really a place where students who want to be involved in the public policy process, maybe even politics that that have a Christian worldview that believe that that abortion is wrong that the traditional family value is what God intended for man, woman, there's even though there are places where they might be able to have a home with one or two of those issues that you saw that there there wasn't really a home for them. So what prompted you to start students for America and how did that get going get out. I started working on college in 2019 early 2019 and it was there working for leadership.

When I was working in the role of the representative I was going to the and 30. Bart, you have different organizations but it was a turning point for young Americans were freed on an American celebrity is glycolic.

I work in the dark and the thing I noted that there was no group that really catered or Christian conservative and there was a Christian and be a part of. But there is no group, or the and in it would find that I burn anything that there was a need and that bothered the youth movement going more and more libertarian and socially liberal on on social all the and I got started burning in my heart because I thought it felt like there wasn't really exactly for them and they would join. And then become discouraged by what they were involved in the.

That didn't really represent what they they believe mother was on abortion or non-drunk all the different thing I family value. The dimension and when I saw that Dr. Berman me in my art to find a way to reach out to them and you want the whole thing. I was talking to a guy last night getting involved in one of our group and you know I would hold that one of the unit became our group meeting that did the thing think that I can get it in a political breakpoint, but that part out that I can't talk about my day and I could talk about all that but I think about my faith like the office. I can get you you know 88 and a Christian group unkempt, but this Christian outlook on anyway if you but I can talk all I want about my faith like to talk about my all like this group for me, helped me bridge that gap where I can talk about today and thought about all do not believe that life on that and do another thing in the Pacific for overwhelming that the first, the method of a young person career oncology are the most influential because the friends they make the bridge they get involved in will you know typically you dictate their whole college career all or year and maybe even more than that their friend and I where they go. Do they hang out with the lock on the unit that are in church. I get it all and foods that are comparative that get a college dance and then they get bogged friend. You aren't, you are agnostic or 8-bit, or they are very liberal, even though slot and in the dark way and then the next thing you know they're never in church again are there number all in the political here and you over hope and provided with route where we can connect data to get them a spring.

Make sure that there's saying connected to their church, the community and involved in the political here that is so important. Andrew, yet there are just so many statistics out there from multiple groups decrypt the church young people who grow up in the church many, many of them are huge percentage are leaving the Christian faith or leasing of they don't they go away to college like you said, they sort hang around other people and are such a pressure on college students today to turn their back on God and many of them are, and I believe that part of the reason is there's not been like you said, a place for them on college campuses. But I want to backup you were talking about students who could go to one group and not talk about politics or another group not be able to go to a political meeting that we'll talk about their faith.

Do you think is important for Christians to be involved in the public policy arena and and politics, and if so why all yeah I think it needed and I think that the ball talk about where the thought of light of the earth.

One thing about the survey and how you got there. I liked audit given up in the country.

If we don't cannot forget me. I Christian the pig and the mentality of the left the Copley breach of separation of church and state.

Even though I saw the cop on the Bible.

They think they fear that they think all you and I got it on my politics and my personal life separately. Well you know if you're going to be moral and your governing nuclear be moral in your political bands which you should be, and you have theological view the theological view have to play out separate your separate yourself from your moral if you're Christian you now you know you have to building a thing in the Christian perspective, and I think to me. People are afraid of doing that, but you it is our country, you know why you think that you know when I first started in about a topic I thought my thought becoming more libertarian.

And you know I think of the natural profit become that there is something that you have felt different, I start reading you guys like Burke and started studying it out.

Conservative thinkers and that one thing that I noticed and barked writing with the constantly talk about how that you would always think about the next generation. Any talk about the principle of you know the are people worried and they were always on happening on something the next generation and we as Christians need to think about, you know what we want to be passed on to the next generation what we want to grow up and and I think that we have to do that and governing. In our political spirit and not be active in that recent much with you there Andrew, you mentioned separation of church and state, and I get so tired of hearing is not just the liberals essay that is, Christians to his people don't understand what what is and is not the Constitution. Nowhere in the Constitution does it say separation of church and state.

It came from a letter that Thomas Jefferson wrote to the Danbury Baptist and he wasn't talking about Christians not being involved in in politics or government. He was talking about the state should never mandate a religion alone on the citizens of that state and of that government and that is been listed today and and students don't study history, and so they just say we should be involved, but we should be involved you what we've had approximately 65 million babies since the 1970s brutally murdered through abortion and in Indra know you agree with me. God is not in a blessed nation that is murdering innocent babies and and really the only way left to stop.

That is to the public policy arena and we have got to engage and elect godly men and women to office and that's why I'm so glad that you started your organization students for America in order to reset generation I got a lot more questions for you but going ensure your website if you don't mind for students for America.

This show is brought to you by generous Joe's coffee company with the Christian perspective, this is the answer that Christians and conservatives have been looking for a coffee company that gives back to causes you care about. Order your copy today at shop generous Joe's.and even subscribe to a subscription coffee plan and never forget the coffee you love or causes you care about anyone will at

We also have grandma and look at the grant. For the number for America and then on what you don't like about the American well we love.

If any of your list. Want to get her left by now, you can find out more about and but only because your contact information with you and your donors are to give people that it didn't that art you hear about that and won't chapter 31 but like to be involved in any way reluctantly to go on.

This is a consignment to get like in your email list or want to find out where the chapters near them. They can do that on students for America is make it okay great so you know I you know that I have two students in college and just the stories of what I hear on campuses are crazy today.

Can you share some of the stories they called to cancel culture and and I know that on the Lotta campuses of a Christian student speaks up just people, swarm on and try to get them to back down. Have you seen any crazy stories as you travel across the country and speak on college campuses forever talking about the one about myself but you know, one of the one the mind of a young lady that going to a private university in North Carolina through the volleyball player and it out really good about ballplayer for the University and in the height of the BLM riot and everything he had made a Facebook thing that you ordered her president and the B athletic director. Basically, you know, tried to pressure her and taking it down, wrapping Irwin walking from our last booth in the Area and it was a constant thing works.

You have that be, you know, in fear or being yelled at being trained that even when he threatened and got a point, reported the athletic director and D got tired of it but leaving putting the volleyball paint transfer University and found out that the up like that director had even gone duty and pass on the information to get out any of the other department to let them know of the possible dirty breath and get out the old painter that she was not. As you know it. Stories like that story know that being it yet greenů They want to buy the bed and I've had a lot of Lotta thing that the me but you know it. It's amazing what the left by with only because every culture that do not work down and stories like that are very on the plate to the mall assignment that I have. You have friends that work out in the what are the not especially bad out there like Portland and California and we've had that have literally had to try to run over them with her heart and they think of the prosecutor and the prosecutor to bring it up because they worked for local 31 and want to think about all and noted that state that a lot of our camp was around. But that's why it's so much more important that were fighting at any out or in art. Like students for America. You mentioned tabling and for those of you listening they don't know that's a common practice on college campuses where you have a day or maybe people want to learn. Students will learn about clubs or clubs will have tables and is called tabling and you just promote what you clubs do and try to sign up new members and I know that's a big part of how you recruit students were American Andrew before is going to bed last night, late last night night think it was in California but I saw a little news clip that has some college campus was tabling yesterday and this girl young woman came by and through their table over and started screaming profanity and vulgar language at them and his Torah papers that they had had. They were handed out. That kind of thing. I know many times tabling can be a place where there is confrontation.

Have you seen any of that on campuses all yeah late on the thing is allotted. Believe by our idea of being present a threat, typically about and that any idea that goes against what they their belief that the body that that somehow is the name of the open threat of violence against them and other want to do anything when when the web people of different views of different opinion. And you know I've I've had people thought that they will try to flip the table and I've had people in a car stopped and got thrown away in the crack and you have the fiber cabling agreement about you know what time we were in at North North, the University and we had members of an people that came down and repainted. One of the one of the young men involved in the and yeah many different things like that happened it out there that do not fear that I've been on because death is across the country and at the on the fight, but thankfully you know that really encourages me that there students are willing to go out every day with that Brett out there will voice their opinions and be active and and and that's what's really encouraging to me, you know, in an all about the doctor who believed the much meant that there long and I go through all that and don't keep telling the just amazes me that the liberal in the calm self progress is now claimed to be so tolerant there tolerant of anything except Jesus Christ and you have an organization like students for America. It is boldly proclaiming Jesus on campus than they're going to go after you and attack you. So parents if you're listening, or even college students across the nation. I would encourage you to go will look up students for America on Facebook on on Instagram, and especially on their website and sign up to get more information. There is nothing like this on any college campus across the country.

Again there other organizations that might be strictly libertarian or strictly political or am I just deal with one issue, like life, which is all important.

But there's no other home where your college student can go if they want to be politically in public policy engage also with the faith in Jesus Christ and the meetings they hold are faith-based their learning how to develop a biblical worldview and carry that to the next generation of students for You can check them out so so Andrew got a few more minutes if I if I'm a student on campus. I know you can go to your website but if I want to start a chapter sale want to be a leader of what process is involved for me to start a chapter on my campus. They can either go to Europe.

I like to Avenue or they can email me at a green a DR EENT at or America or they can do that and we can try to get them connected and that we've got people working with our organization and people that are volunteering their time without the can help them get out the process of doing a chapter star in the Booth is made are told that we can help them with but they can reach out to any of the way we be happy to help them out getting a chapter on their college We got on now in the Carolina and in Virginia and dinner before nine factbook band and expand across the country and Eddie Eddie. No matter where you are.

Please reach out to deny we love the talk to you so so students if your listener. Do you tell your students about this. They've just started his new organization just started the fall semester of this year to open chapters, which is another word for club on campuses across the nation. So even if there's not one on your campus right now.

We can help get one started. I know Andrew or some of his field reps will come to your campus and help you through the process. You will not be left alone.

I know for sure because I've seen them in action that they are very hands-on. There they are committed to making sure that your successful as you start your campus they they teach you how to how to table and to recruit new students they teach you how to have your meetings on a regular basis and what should be done in a meeting and I know that there are also gearing up. They participate not only with citizens for America with faith and freedom coalition and other organizations and have opportunities for students to go to a really big conferences and learn a lot. Not only about Jesus Christ. What about the political involvement as well. So Andrew have to wrap it up if if you want take a minute and share what what your plans are in and what you like people to know more about students for America will allow me to come on out with pleasure and all my life but II love it out. I worked a good thing I did in this chapter started up only got them forming at several different BOOTS right now the head or group meeting last night with some of the chapter story in that brought the get our friend the prophet the fundraising as well. Your look.

You know, pray about it. I would love to have people or about the want to make different and you know where we do it for infective in the upcoming month and there's a lot going on really excited were all the everything out the campus ministries across particular Carolina for Debbie what every state but the partner with them on getting involved from our clause involved with church as well and actively believe again that pertinent and and and every student that Dan should be involved with church, whether the book or not and the work on the partner them. There were not brought that there's a lot going on but did you like to help without we be honored and again thank you for allowing me to come on.
