Dr. Cheryl Davis concludes her series on the wonder of God's Word, the Bible, Miracle of the Ages, on today's Truth Matters. Throughout history some have challenged the accuracy and integrity of the Bible, but their argument has been discredited by the Bible itself. The most convincing of five key evidences that the Bible is authentic and genuine are the lives of millions who have been redeemed through its life-changing message. Dr. Cheryl Davis, and this is Truth Matters. One of the most astonishing and astounding facts of history is the profound and unique unity of the message in the Bible. The Bible has been and is a message of hope, life, love, liberty, and redemption for many that were perishing and needed a lifeline. There are 66 books in the Bible divided into two dispensational periods in history. The Old and New Testament eras with the Old Testament pertaining to creation, the laws, the prophets, and the holy writings of Psalms, Proverbs, and Songs of Solomon. The New Testament is a period under a new covenant of grace, redemption, and the restoration of God's creation.

The 66 books of the Bible were written on three continents, Asia, Africa, and Europe, and written in four languages. The truth of the Bible is unrestrained and remains unchanged. It is active and alive. It is permanent, perpetual, and penetrating. It is sharper than a two-edged sword, severing soul and spirit, dividing bone and marrow.

It judges thoughts and attitudes of the heart. It exposes all myths, lies, and deception of the dark world. It separates truth from partial truth because it is the whole truth. As we read and study God's Word, the Bible, we learn to know the truth when we hear it or read it. We know this because the same voice that spoke these 783,137 words to the 40 men who wrote them down is the same voice that speaks to the souls of those who have been born again.

It speaks truth because truth is what sets us free, free from sin and free from lies and deception. Some lies contain some truth, but the tiny truth in a lie isn't the truth at all. It is only a twisted lie. Adolf Hitler used that method of lying when he said, If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed. This is why so many in Germany in the 30s fell for his diabolical lies and why so many people today perish in their sins because they have believed a great lie. This was not only a philosophy of Hitler but a trick of Satan as he twisted the truth at the tree of knowledge of good and evil when he told Eve that if she ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil that she would not die. Satan didn't lie completely to Eve, but he didn't tell her the whole truth either.

If he had, the world could have been a much better place today. While she and Adam didn't die physically that day after eating the fruit, they did die spiritually as their eyes were now open to evil. Man's spirit is that little light inside of you that connects you with God.

If it is not alive, it is dark. The Bible is God's word that feeds the spirit of man. It is a lamp to your feet and a light to your pathway through life. Read and study it so when you are confronted with a lie or confronted with the truth, you can rightly discern between the two. The word of God is sharper than any two-edged sword that is active and live. I'm Dr. Cheryl Davis and this has been Truth Matters, reminding you that truth never changes. The documentation of the 66 books, the archaeological findings, the life of Jesus and his crucifixion and resurrection, the fulfillment of prophecy, and finally the redemption of many including the atheist C.S. Lewis, slave ship captain John Newton, and Norma McCorvey, the infamous Jane Roe in the landmark decision of Roe v. Wade that has resulted in the abortion of millions.
