Prince of Peace

In a time of chaos, peace is something to treasure. Looking to the Hebrew meaning for prince it can be defined as leader, chief, or captain of peace.

What is the significance of having a God that is the chief of peace?

• God’s peace turns our chaos into purpose.
• God’s peace brings clarity instead of confusion.
• God’s peace comes to us where we are. It comes in ways and in places that only he can fill.

If God is not in your life, you will not know true peace. To know God is to know peace! Jesus’ death and resurrection leaves us with more than just eternal peace. Because of the cross we have been invited in to have a relationship so personal with God on earth, right now.

The Holy Spirit is that bridge from us to God made possible by Jesus. Jesus said that he would send a helper for us, that it was better for him to leave because the best was yet to come. What could be better than Jesus? The amazing gift of the Holy Spirit is something we should never take for granted and one benefit is the peace that he brings to our souls in every season. (1 Corinthians 14:33, John 14:27, Isaiah 26:3, Matthew 11:28-30, 1 Peter 5:7, 2 Thessalonians 3:16, Ephesians 2:14)

Would you allow the Holy Spirit to penetrate your heart in the areas you need peace the most?
