Last Sunday in April 2024. And the title of the message tonight is Believe, Act, and Receive. Believe, Act, and Receive. And we're going to start tonight in Philippians chapter 4. Therefore my brethren, dearly beloved and longed for, were my joy and crown.

So stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. I beseech Euodius and I beseech Syntecky that they be of the same mind in the Lord. I entreat thee also true yokefellow. That's an interesting thing because a lot of people think that his name, actually that word Greek in the Greek for yokefellow was Seusugus. And there are some that think that that was actually a man's name, Seusugus, which meant yokefellow.

You know, names, all of our names have different meanings there. And so here he says that I entreat thee also true yokefellow. Help these women which labored with me in the Gospel and Clement also. Well, who would have ever thought that a pastor would have to come in between two women with disagreements in the ministry? Folks, boy, I'm going to tell you, that is much more common than it should be for sure, but that's a good part of the job is too often you have these disagreements amongst these women.

And well, amongst the men too, but it seems to be far more so amongst the women. And so anyhow, he's asking him, Seusugus, to kind of intercede between the two of them. He said, I entreat thee also true yokefellow. Help those women which labored with me in the Gospel, with Clement also, and with others, my yokefellow laborers, whose names are in the Book of Life.

Well, he makes a couple points. First of all, look, if that's the biggest problem that you're having, I mean, if that's what Paul comes to say, you know, here in the church of Philippi, you know, that you've got a couple of women that are disagreeing. Well, folks, then that church is in pretty good shape, if that's the only problem they have. And so here now, he goes on, and he makes a very clear point, whose names are in the Book of Life, and he points out to all of them that they, too, he believes that are true believers. But now he says this, rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice. Well, you say, yeah, we often sing that song, rejoice in the Lord always, right? But folks, there in Philippi, the church in Philippi were in deep poverty.

They were a very, very poor church. And not only that, but they were living under trials of great, great affliction. Now, today, you know, despite of all the anti-God, anti-Christ, anti-Christian bias against us here, by the Satanists, the satanic left, we still have far, for the most of us, with the exception of, say, the January 6 Christian patriots and a lot of the pro- lifers out there and homeschoolers are really coming under. And, of course, I've known what that's like for years, but I've never considered myself a victim.

I consider myself a warrior battling the armies of the aliens, the darkness. And so here, we, for the most part, for the most part, you know, we are still much, much less persecuted than the church in Philippi was. Like I said, they were under great affliction.

They were under deep poverty. And he says, and in that, yet, he says, let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Well, here, you know, the Lord's return has always been imminent. And he frequently told his followers to watch for him, folks, and that applies for today, too.

We're still watching for him. We know his return is imminent. We know that he has fulfilled almost 1,800 prophecies already. And we know that one will be fulfilled, too. Be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication.

With thanksgiving, let your requests be made known unto God. We are to worry about nothing because, well, what's the old saying? You can worry about nothing because you can pray about everything. And besides that, it doesn't do you any good to worry. It doesn't do you any good to worry. Worry can do a lot of harm, but it won't do you any good.

Now, there's a big difference between being concerned and worrying about something. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, should keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, my brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, and if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things. Here, the English word used is related to virility. Virility, when that word virtue is, which is closer to the meaning of the Greek word, are eight. Now, here, what it actually means, that the word there really, when it says here, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things. That word actually is a word that means more like power.

It means it's actually related more to power, the word that that's translated from in the Greek. And it goes on to say, those things which you have both learned and received and heard seen in me do and God of peace shall be with you. Now, think of these things, therefore, not on the the other things, is what he's telling you.

And especially, that's a very, very important guide for educators. If God does not want us to think on evil, ugly things, then surely our school curriculum should keep totally away from those evil, ugly things, except for to provide antidotes. And, of course, we know that a pastor is a preacher. I've got to preach against that sin.

That's my job, and to preach the whole gospel. I've heard preachers like Joel Osteen said he hasn't preached against sin. He's never preached against sin because he just makes people feel bad and it's negative.

Well, you know what? Jesus preached against sin. John the Baptist preached against sin. All of the prophets, every one of them, and the priests, spoke against sin. But now, Joel Osteen says, well, basically, that's not going to fill the offering plate. And, of course, that's the bottom line, trying to fill the offering plate. So, he goes on and he says here, and the God of peace shall be with you. The God of peace, well, we know in Romans 15, 33 talks about that, and also 16, 20, many, many places in Scripture is the God of peace referred to.

Now, here, when people become frustrated with their surroundings, they often, well, they often find fault with everything but where the fault actually lies. Those on the left today will rage, they rage against that, you know, everything that God, that they say, well, you know, they rage against that God. And how many times have you heard them say that God that doesn't exist, that I find it, you know, amusing when I get into these conversations with these, those on the left, these atheists, they refer to themself atheists. But it's an amazing thing to find out how much hatred they can hold against a God that they say never existed. If they really truly believe that God never existed, why should they harbor so much hate? Why should they spend any time, right? It's because God has planted within each and every one of them a conscience, and they know fairly well God exists, and yet they want to, there's a mindset somehow amongst many of them that if they simply don't acknowledge God, then theoretically, as I had a professor tell me one day, if no one acknowledges your existence, theoretically you don't really exist. Well, folks, that's a bunch of bull.

There you go. And so what else can I tell you? And so yet these people who again continually will say, and I've been in debates with atheists on that, God, there is no God. Remember what Nietzsche said. Nietzsche, he was interesting because he said, first of all, he said, my brother and that God that has so tormented you for all these years is dead now. Rejoice in He's dead. Well, the reality is Nietzsche's dead.

God's alive and sitting on his throne. But then Nietzsche went on to say that God had created man in his own image, and now through technology man is going to return the favor, and God will be what man says he is. That Harari there, Klaus Schwab's dummy makes statements that, boy, I'm going to tell you, he's in Harari, along with Klaus Schwab, they're in for an extremely rude awakening. You know, God created the ear, and he hears very, very well, and these men have been saying some absolutely ludicrous things, and let me tell you, God is not mocked. God is not mocked, and Harari and along with Schwab and Soros and others are going to, they're going to find that out in spades. Now, here we have that, and you know what, some professing Christians say, you know, often become frustrated with the egregious, egregious decline of morality, and I know I'm one of those.

I'm one of those led by the government, the mainstream media, and academia. They become impatient with God. Now, I'm not becoming impatient with God. That's one thing I do have to say, that I have prayed often that God would please the wicked, the wicked, the ones that are harming the children and doing so much harm to the children. I have asked God if he would not please come if they refuse to repent, and as they do, if he would not come and remove them, because of the wickedness, the horrible wickedness that's going on in our society today, especially when the abortion and the child sex trafficking, the things that mean so much to the Democratic Party. Folks, you got one party that the ACLU has been trying to burn bridges to get pedophilia legalized. That's wickedness, I mean real wickedness, and so in some cases like that, I guess it may appear that I'm a little, oh, you might say, well, impatient, expecting God will, you know, break his righteous judgment on those rebellious sinful society right now, because it is so needed.

Yeah, I do feel that way, it is. Well, only because of the harm and the suffering that the children and others are doing. Now, being a pastor and a Bible teacher for half a century, I am to some degree considered to be kind of, well, a defender of God's policies, and that's true, I am a defender of God's policy, and expected to apologize for his apparent lack of action. Can you tell me why your God, can you tell me why your God allows children to be born blind?

Can you tell me why your God allows children to be born without arms or legs? Can you tell me why your God, in other words, here these people are trying to, the left, those on the left, especially in what is called the mainstream media, but they they want to judge God, folks, and they really sometimes expect me to apologize for the Lord's apparent lack of action, folks. Listen, God is on the throne, in his complete control, folks, things are, as the one lady says, they're not falling apart, they're falling exactly into place, okay? And because of that, because of the left, and become so frustrated, they have a tendency to say some really stupid things, and not just, and also there are some professing Christians that will say some very stupid things, folks. One of them, you hear the, now you hear them saying, if God will not judge Israel, if God will not condemn, they're asking from the river to the sea, they want Israel to be annihilated. You actually have these people saying, if God will not annihilate Israel, we will do it.

Well, no you won't, no you won't. You see, God decided, one of the things God has decided is that he will judge his people, not you, he will judge his people, but he'll be judging you, you folks out there that are making these outlandish statements. One of the other things, you know, you often hear, and it really aggravates me, I don't like to hear it at all, is you'll hear people, well-meaning people, and they'll say, well, there's really no difference between the Republicans and the Democrats. There's a world of difference, folks, between true Republicans and true, what they call them, there are no real Democrats, as there used to be today, they're cultural Marxists or Satanists, they really are, there's no real Democrats left. But when people make that statement, that's a, that's not true.

It's a lie. There's a world of difference, okay, and now I'm not saying that there's not some really rotten apples in the Republican Party, we call them rhinos, we call them traitor tories, rhinos, these are Democrats that have run as Republicans, got elected as a Republican, but they're still Democrats and they vote for sin. Then another one, and by the way, the Republican platform is a pro-life platform, the Democrats is death, everything, then their entire platform is a platform of sin, the entire thing, everything. And then you have these people, how many times have you heard that it's my, it's my body, it's my choice, no it's not your body, no it's not your choice. Folks, let me explain something to you, if that were true, then your mother would have had four arms, four legs, four eyes, four ears, right folks, and 20 fingers, no, your individual person, it is not your body, it is not your choice, God has ruled on that, God has said you're a liar, and let me tell you what God also said, he said all liars will have their place in Lake of Fire, so that's a lie that you, you parrot, and you parrot, and you parrot, but that is a lie, and it's right for in the pit of hell, and so, then, then one of the other ones you've often hear, well how can God judge LGBTQ, because the sodomites, because God allows them to be born that way, and then he judges and look, nobody is born a sodomite folks, nobody is born a pedophile, nobody's born a rapist, nobody's born a murderer, nobody's born a thief, they become, they become that, and that's another lie told by the left, that's another lie told by liars, nobody's born a sodomite, it's something you learn, it's a death style, it's a very, very sinful rebuke to God, it's a very sinful offense, it's so sinful that God refers to it as an abomination, as an abomination in his eyes, so, here, now, I've had pastors tell me, and I had a man tell me that, one time, he said, I love listed to you, but, he said, you, you preach too much against sin, you preach, I said, and how was that? Well, you know, we're all sinners, and if you, and when you're preaching against sin, all you're doing is making us feel bad, because we're sinners, and I said, what do you think the, the purpose of me doing that is? I don't know, do you ever think maybe the purpose is because, first of all, God's word, the Bible demands that I preach against that sin, to rebuke, to refute, to reprove? Okay, see, so I'm called as a preacher to preach all of the gospel, to preach hell hot and heaven sweet, but did you ever think at all that the reason I'm preaching against that sin is to bring sinners like you to repentance?

And that was just a, well, there was no answer, didn't want to answer that. I want to turn now over to 2 Thessalonians, 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, and read verses 13 through 15. But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren, beloved of the Lord, because God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through the sanctification of the Spirit and the belief of truth. Wherefore he called you by our gospel to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, brethren, stand fast, hold to the traditions which you have been taught, whether by word or epistle. Now, here, it's an interesting thing. Do you notice there's a clear order here? God had in the beginning chosen these Thessalonian believers to salvation before they were born, that's right, before the foundation of the earth.

I just knocked over my drink here, but it's a good thing I had a cap on the bottle. And so here, then he called them as they heard the gospel, believed the truth, and were sanctified, that is set apart for Christ, by the Holy Spirit, eventually destined, folks, to be glorified in Christ. Now, to accomplish this, the Spirit, in a vision, first directed Paul to go to Greece to preach the gospel, where he eventually reached Thessalonica and taught them the truth. However, of the many, many who were called, as Paul preached and taught, only some of them believed. And most of his listeners had not been chosen, so they resisted a call and refused to believe. As Jesus said, many be called, but few be chosen. Such a truth may be difficult to understand, but we are bound to give thanks. And with Paul, that we, like the Thessalonian, Thessalonian, Thessalonian believers have both been chosen and called. But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brother, because God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and the belief of truth.

You know, we've had, over the years, you've had many misunderstandings. Some people, some preached a falsehood thinking that they're, you know, what they're preaching is the truth. One of those things was that Christ died for everybody. You hear people say, yeah, Christ died for everybody. Well, that sounds good, but that's not actually what the Bible teaches. In fact, the Bible gives you a very clear reading on who Christ died for. You see, if Christ had died for everybody, then everybody would be saved.

But you see, unless you think that God can make a mistake. Now, saying that, Christ's blood was sufficient as an atonement for the entire world, past, present, for the sins of the world, past, present, and future. His blood was sufficient to take away the sins, but it had to be applied to those. If the blood was not applied to you, remember this song, what can take away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Right. And so his blood had not been applied to all those people. The Lord said, I'm going to be with a father, and in my father's house are many mansions, and if I go, I will prepare you a place that you could come and be with. Well, here folks, believe me, he did not prepare a place for everybody in the world.

Okay. So if Christ had died for everybody, everybody would be saved. If you want to know, he gives you a very precise listing in Romans chapter 8, starting with verse 28, who he died for.

And so, in fact, let me just take you over there for a minute, really quickly. Now here, and we know all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose, for whom he did foreknow. You see, Christ died for those that he did foreknow.

He also did predestinate. Christ died for those that he predestinate to be conformed to the image of his son. He died for those that were conformed to be the image of his son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover, whom he did predestinate, them he also called. So he died for them that he called, and when he had called them, he also justified. See, Christ died for those that he justified, and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

You see, so there's no hiccups there, no stuttering, it's real clear. And so here, I want to go back to where we left off over there in Thessalonians. Wherefore, whereunto be called, be called you by our gospel to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. He says, Therefore, brethren, stand fast, hold the traditions which you have been taught whereby, whether by word or by epistle. Well, traditions can either be valuable or harmful, depending on whether or not they support God's Word. Jesus, for example, rebuked the Pharisees on the basis, why do you transgress the commandment of God?

By your tradition. Paul, on the other hand, had encouraged the Thessalonians to keep the traditions that they had been taught by him, either verbally or in writing. For the first 20 years of the spread of Christianity, each church needed to carefully and accurately remember, many of them wrote down notes. Now, Paul also, you know, did write down some of his teachings, but now here, as he could, they had no New Testament. The New Testament finally wasn't finally compiled until the last apostle had died. Okay, and so here, when he says the last part, therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold to the traditions. Now, God has called or invited everyone to receive him, but he has chosen those that he knew would accept his invitation.

Jesus said, again, many be called, but few be chosen. Now, here, remember, they still did not at that time have the New Testament in the written form, anyhow. I mean, there were a lot of a lot of writings here, there, but it was not compiled, and so the New Testament at that time was just beginning to take form. Now, I want to go over to 1st John chapter 4, and 1st John chapter 4, verses 1 through 6. Beloved, believe not every spirit, but keep thy spirits for they are of God, because many false prophets are going out into the world. Hereby know you the Spirit of God, every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is coming to flesh is of God. Now, here, there are plenty of those false teachers out there that profess that Jesus came, but that not that that he was the Christ. The Christ is the Savior, the Messiah, the Deliverer, okay? Christ refers to his deity. He says, hereby we know that the Spirit of God, every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is coming to flesh is of God. Every spirit that confesses not that Jesus Christ is coming to flesh is not of God, and this is the spirit of Antichrist, wherefore you have heard that it should come and even now already is in the world.

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. They are of the world, therefore speak to the of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of God, and he that knoweth God heareth us. He that is not of God heareth not us.

Hereby we know the Spirit of Truth and the Spirit of Error. Well, here, now there are those, again, let many say that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, but not God the Son, not God the Son. In other words, there are those, like the Jehovah's Witness, some of the Seventh-day Adventists, Mormons and others, that literally believe that Christ was a created being. Some believe that the Father created him, and then he went on to create the universe. Well, folks, that's not what the Bible teaches. The Bible teaches that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost were together.

They were pre-existent. And now, here, when we're talking about, you know, we had just spoken about the traditions, and now there's spirits out there today of those who, again, like I said, they believe that Jesus was the Son, but not God the Son, not God the Creator. They deny his deity. And then you have the apostate. I was listening to Kevin Copeland, and I'm absolutely convinced that Kevin Copeland is demon-possessed. I mean, I'm absolutely possessed that this man is demon-possessed.

He just, boy, I'm gonna tell you, if you listen, you don't have to listen to him very long to understand that. But here, you know, and we preach, too, also, but just we mentioned the traditions that we hold to. We hold to the traditions of baptism. We don't baptize. We baptize on their people's confession of faith, as the Bible teaches. There's no place, no place in the Bible where you will see, and if it was baptized, we don't, we don't do these things. We hold to the traditions of the Apostles. They didn't baptize infants. We hold to the taking the Lord's table. These are the traditions. Well, and, you know, it was an interesting thing, because John MacArthur preached a message on women preachers, and he said that the women pastors are the most obvious evidence of rebellion in the Bible.

He said that it is a disgrace. Well, actually, the Bible refers to those rebellion amongst those women as witchcraft. It's the same as witchcraft, and we know though the whole feminist movement is like witchcraft. We see all of these women governors that are involved in witchcraft today.

It's witchcraft, they just don't call it witchcraft. He said that it was a disgrace for women to preach in the church, when the Bible clearly teaches that women are not to be pastors of a church. I mean, the Bible clearly teaches that, and not to have authority over the men when it comes to the Scriptures. He said that women preachers was the last frontier after the cultural Marxist to fall in the church. He said that the women's movement was corrupted, has corrupted the church, and he said that now 27% of those in the pulpit are women. And what does the Bible teach? By the way, folks, did you know about 90% of those women in the pulpit are lesbians? And the Bible clearly teaches that God gives a people, women, and incompetent men as their leaders.

That's right. As a punishment. He gives it as a punishment. And we have a society that has become so reprobate, they want to punish each other. They don't get it out there, folks. We have a society that is so biblically literate. And I'm going to tell you, so many of the pulpits out there today are biblically illiterate.

Really, really. I would probably say, my estimate, this is an estimate, that maybe 10% of those in a pulpit today are actually shepherds. My guess is that 90% of them are hirelings. Most of them aren't even saved. They're not even saved today. And the vast majority of people have said in the pews of churches that aren't really churches, reading from Bibles that are really not the Bibles, and listening to preachers, that most of them aren't even saved. That's exactly, read 2 Timothy chapter 3. We are living in the end days, the last days, real time, right now. It's happening.

It's here. The prosperity church has another Jesus, one called Mammon. And again, Jesus is not only the Son of God, but He's also God the Son. I want to go now over to James chapter 1, starting with verse 19. Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, and slow to speak, and slow to wrath. For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. Wherefore, lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness. Do you know what that means? That word there, actually it means abundance, abundance of wickedness.

It's what it's referring to. Lay aside, lay apart all abundance of wickedness, and receive with maintenance the engrafted word. Now, that's interesting, because that word engrafted is used only one time in the whole Bible.

It's right here. Which is able to save your soul. How did you get saved? By the word, the gospel of your salvation, huh? But be you doers of the word. Not here is only deceiving your own selves. You know, when, when we started doers of the word Baptist Church years ago, there were people out there saying, how dare you call yourselves doers of the word?

I mean, and I said, don't you understand? We actually mean it. We actually mean it. We actually believe to be doers of the word. For if anybody be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man beholding his natural face in the glass.

Let me go back. But be you doers of the word. Not here is only deceiving your own selves.

Deceiving your own selves. I've had people tell me, and pastors, said brother Sanders, listen, I appreciate what you do out there. With you and those, and your people, you go out in front of those abortion chambers, and you preach, and you save those babies, and I know sometimes you get arrested, and, and then you go up, and you go up to death row, and with all them murderers, and I appreciate you doing that, and I, but you see, you have to understand something. I'm not called to that. I'm not called to that. I'm only called to prayer. That's the ministry I have is just to pray. Well, you know, I find out that those people that usually make those statements, they do the least amount of praying. Let's people, those of us that have to go to the streets, those of us that were being assaulted all the time, those of us that were being arrested for doing the Lord's work all the time, we knew what prayer was about.

We prayed. We, we, we prayed that maybe this day we might not get arrested, or this day we might not get killed doing what God has called us to do, and so we were the ones that were doing the most praying, not these precinct preachers who wanted to stay in that comfort zone, and he says here, For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man beholding his natural face in a glass, for he beholded himself, and goeth his way straightway, forgetting what manner of men he was, but whoso look into the perfect law of liberty, and continue it therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man should be blessed in his deed. Look, it's an interesting thing here that he makes a point when he says deceiving your own selves. These people that make those statements, they're fooling themselves.

They're fooling themselves. If you don't have, if you're not compelled, if you don't have a burning in your belly to serve God, then I would be very concerned about the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. But it's an interesting thing, too, that he uses for an example a man, for if any, he's beholding himself, he's a man beholding, and he be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he's like a man to be holding his natural face in the glass. Now, it's an interesting thing because that would only apply to a man, and in the way where if you notice sometimes men, men will be in front of a mirror and they'll be shaving, and you know, we might not be the the most handsome things, but when you're finished, you look and you smile and you smack your cheek and you turn around you walk away and you have shaving cream behind your ear. Many times I've, people have said, do you know that you have shaving cream behind your ear? And you know, I would respond, yeah, I know that's where I keep it when I'm not using it, you know.

Usually the look on their face is like, I wonder if he's serious, but it's the difference, you know, when women for the most part get in front of that mirror, they're more serious usually than men are, and I, I noticed too, teenagers, you know, right at that stage of their life where they're getting those pimples popping out, they kind of like sneak up on the mirror looking to see it, like maybe there's not one coming or there's one that's gone, but I've noticed the difference, but that would apply to men. Now, I want to pick it up over here in verse 14. What does it profit any brethren, though a man say he hath faith and have not works? Can faith save him if a brother or sister be naked and destitute of daily food? And one of you say to them, depart in peace and be you warmed and filled, notwithstanding you give them not the things which the needful to the body?

What does it profit? Even so, faith if it had not works is dead being alone. Yeah, a man may say that thou has faith and I have works, show me thy faith with thy works and I will show thee my faith by my works.

Thou believeth that there is one God, thou dost well, but devils also believe and tremble. But what wilt thou know, old man, that faith without works is dead? Here, when he says there in verse 14, can faith save him? It's interesting here, the object of faith and the result of that faith is, you know, I mean everybody's got some kind of faith, everybody has some kind of faith, but the measurement is the real validity of their faith. He goes on when he says, yeah, a man may say thou has faith and I have works, you know. Here, genuine faith in Christ for salvation, it never reproduces works that demonstrates reality. Folks, James, you know, Martin Luther called this epistle the straw epistles and I've debated people on this, you know, here. James is not saying that you're saved by works as some have tried to say.

He's not saying that. He's saying faith is the evidence or works of the evidence of faith. Listen, if you're saved, if you're saved, if you have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and you're not, you're not using that, you're not being a doer of the word, you're grieving the Holy Spirit. And, folks, when you grieve the Holy Spirit, oh, he's good at grieving back. So, here, it's kind of like, look, if you look out there on a bright snowy morning where there's a fresh snow is falling and you you see deer tracks in the snow, well, that those deer tracks are evidence that there was a deer there.

And the same thing, if you see a man's tracks, it's evidence that there was a man there. And same thing, works are evidence of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. If the Lord is dwelling within you, you'll have that burning desire to serve God. And he says, yeah, man, may say thou has faith that I have works. Show me the faith without thy works and I will show thee my faith by my works. And so, here, it's when he says, again, that, well, you know, not just James, many people have alleged that James was arguing here against Paul's doctrine of salvation strictly by grace through faith. But this idea is clearly not what James is saying, folks, believe me, okay? But wilt thou know, O, they men, that faith without works is dead.

It means it's not there. There is no faith. Okay, I mean, it's it's a worthless faith is what he's saying. I want to go over to Romans chapter 10. And in Romans chapter 10, remember the titles was was to believe, believe, act, and receive.

And we're covering all three of those. And so, in Romans chapter 10, verses 8 through 15, we read this. But what saith it?

The word is nigh even in thy mouth and in thy heart. That is the word of faith which we preach. Now, here, Paul is simply quoting Deuteronomy 30, verse 14, that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that hath God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

So what is he doing? You know, here, you have to understand, too, at this time in Rome, to confess Jesus as Lord, you're renouncing the Emperor as God. That's right. It should be understood that confessing Jesus as the Lord, with all such confession, complies that the Greek word carious was was applied in the Roman world to none other than the Emperor himself. So by professing that Jesus is Lord, you're professing that the Emperor is none. And so, you know, here the Apostles clearly renounced Emperor worship and acknowledged the Lord Jesus as God.

Remember, there were many that believed the Emperor, you know, they posted and referred to themselves as God's. For with a heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with a mouth confession is made into salvation. For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Again, Paul here quotes Isaiah 28, verse 16.

In Isaiah, be ashamed was make haste. And so he's referring to that here, that this believer will find true rest in the Lord Jesus Christ. He said, for there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek. He's saying that they get saved the very same way. The Jew and the Greek is saved the same way.

For the same Lord over all is rich into all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. He goes on to say, how then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how should they believe on him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach except they be sent?

As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things. Well here again that is another testimony is found in Isaiah 52 7. Here, note having in Ephesians 6 15 when it says having your feet shod with appropriation of the gospel of peace.

And then it goes on to say, well I'm going to have to move on from here to over to Isaiah. I'm just going to quote one verse and and and I know this is just a simple verse but I want you to try to just think about it. For a minute and this is in Isaiah chapter 44 verse 22. Isaiah 44 verse 22 says, I have blotted out as a thick cloud the transgression and as a cloud thy sins return unto me for I have redeemed thee.

In other words, God has made a statement that he has taken away he has blotted out your sins they're gone they're gone and and he acknowledges like that your sins as a thick cloud and that he has taken away your sins past present and future. What a wonderful wonderful verse this is. And then I want to go to Ephesians chapter 1. And Ephesians chapter 1 here, let me pass it up. I'll get there in a minute I think. Well here in Ephesians 1 I want to read verses 3 and 4. Blessed be the God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who have blessed us with all spiritual blessings and heavenly places in Christ according as he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before him in love having predestinated us until the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself according to the good pleasure of his will to the praise and the glory of his grace wherein he hath not accepted us as has made us accepted and the beloved folks here he's telling you that your salvation is kept of God in heaven it's kept by God you can't lose your salvation because you don't have possession and then in verse 13 in whom you have trusted after you heard the word of truth the gospel of your salvation in whom also after that you believed you were sealed with a holy spirit of promise which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchase possession unto the praise of glory Jesus here he's telling you here that the Lord Jesus Christ himself is the sealer of your salvation the Holy Spirit is the seal and it's kept in heaven if you could lose your salvation you would lose your salvation because all it would take is a sin and so God would never entrust sinners now think about this would you the most precious quantity that ever existed was the blood of Christ it's only it could take away the sins of the world and and give you everlasting life but now think about this would you place your son upon a cross and he died a horrible horrible death to redeem a people and then allow that people to take that precious blood of Jesus and put it underfoot by sitting no he would not do that and he know that again if we could lose our salvation we would lose our salvation and we're out of time for tonight so as we always say at this time good night God bless and always always here you go and I do mean always keep fighting the fight thanks for listening to the voice of the Christian resistance what's right what's left hosted by pastor Ernie Sanders to learn more about our ministry please visit us online at www.wrwl.org please tune in next time for another edition of what's right what's left the preceding program is sponsored by what's right what's left ministries and is responsible for its content three-star general Michael J Flynn head of the Pentagon Intelligence Agency knew all the government's dirty secrets he was one of the most respected generals in the military Flynn knew what the Intel world had been up to he understood its funding he ordered the first audit of the use of contractors this set off alarm bells the explosive new documentary Flynn deliver the truth whatever the cost and covers the facts behind this scandal Flynn told the truth he was the most dangerous person for Donald Trump to hire I find out the worst enemy that I'm going to face in my life is right here in America they took my assessment and they wanted me to change it I was like I'm changing it they had to get rid of Flint with in-depth interviews archival footage and never before seen personal record to the man behind the headlines I just felt like I was drowning Flynn deliver the truth whatever the cost available now watch it today go to Salem now calm Salem now calm
