That's right. Zach Gelb's show, CBS radio, Jersey Jerry from Barstool Sports coming up 20 minutes from now for NFL picks. And as always, we're coming to you live from the Rocket Mortgage Studios.

Here's my thought. And I'm going to do this for all of our fans out there in Denver. Sports gods, please end the Nathaniel Hackett era after this weekend. I don't want to see Mr.

Unlimited play well. I don't want to see the Broncos do anything positive. And I hope they lose 43 to nothing to the Jacksonville Jaguars. In reality, I think there's going to be a low scoring game like set pretty much kind of what you saw last week between the Giants and and the Jaguars, where the final was 20 to 17.

I think this is like 1713. Really sloppy, really ugly. I'll give the edge to Jacksonville, but my one thought is I want to see Nathaniel Hackett. Nothing ever want to see someone get fired. But in this case, I've had enough of talking about Nathaniel Hackett.

Thumbs up, get them out. I'll steal a line from Ryan Harris. Do less. When it comes to Russell Wilson, run the ball. No, not you.

I've run the ball, establish some sort of run, take pressure. Well, hold on. Do less. And if that was about me, I'd leave right now with 58 minutes to go on the show. No, no.

The first show on the network today just left in the final hour. Well, just run the ball. Let's take some pressure off of us. That's how this offense is.

Just get back to some sort of competent level. Carolina and Atlanta. Here's my thought of the game. How the bleep does the winner of this game get first place in the NFC South through the first eight weeks of the season? That I still that's inconceivable to me.

Hot take Hickey. How that is what reality is for the NFC South through the first eight weeks of the season. I don't know about you. I saw this coming. Two and five Carolina Fire, Matt Rule, and now playing for first place after owning the tiebreak against the Buccaneers.

Yeah. Well, you can't make that. You can't make that joke because you, not me. Everyone says, Oh, Zach, you're tight with Matt Rule. You always pick the Panthers because of Matt Rule. You picked him to win Coach of the Year this year. I picked the Panthers to make the playoffs and guess what? It's a possibility. Oh, wow.

You know what? We haven't dumped on you enough for the Panthers prediction. You had Matt Rule as coach of the year. You had the Panthers in the playoffs. And you said Baker Mayfield was a top five quarterback in the NFC.

Thought he was going to turn his career around. At least you're consistent. In the AFC, you said Russell Olson, Super Bowl MVP, Russell Olson, League MVP, Nathaniel Hike and top three coach of the year.

Which one are you more embarrassed by? Is it the Panthers or is it the Broncos? Definitely Broncos because I kind of, not forced. The Panthers you at least going out on a limb. And you kind of knew that there's a chance it won't work out. Yeah, the Broncos you were...

I always thought this is a... Sargent. You were arrogant about it. I was. I really thought this was going to go smoothly.

Okay. What's your thought on Panthers and Falcons? I'll see Marcus Mariano. Well, you know, it is three wins so far this year. He's completed 15 on his passes.

He's not doing it at all with his arm. Can he win a game? It's going to be tough defense you're going against. I don't think you can rely on the run game too much.

Go win a game with your arm. Well, I think that's the way that he's been winning. He's running the football like go get you 50, 60 yards in the ground and then you're limiting the throws. So he's clearly adding in the play production. You look at the numbers like, oh, he's only throwing the ball like 15, 20 times.

It's not a ton. There's like the one game is like 13 completions or something like that. I threw the ball like 13 times. He's got to be dominant on the ground to make up for what is no longer a guy that you look at that's a lethal attack through the air.

And he's got a turnover freak thing. The only way the Panthers win this game is if you get a turnover to and defense get a short field. Yeah, do you get back-to-back good weeks of PJ Walker? Probably not.

Probably not. Chicago and Dallas. My thought on this one is Dak Prescott. I want to see like a fourth touchdown game.

Zeke is doubtful. They got to dominate from start to finish. They're clearly the better team.

Don't give me this nonsense. All the Bears better record than what you thought. Bears destroyed the Patriots. If you want me, Dallas, to take you seriously, and I think Dallas is a really good team and I've been impressed with what they did with Cooper Rush. You got to blow a team out like Chicago.

Don't give me any reason to second-guess or doubt Dallas come Monday. Destroy, annihilate the Chicago Bears. I'm interested to see what Justin Fields does. Now, I don't think of anywhere near the same success he had against the Patriots, but really anytime he does play, well, it's only with his legs. Like he's not really making a lot of throws and not making a lot of players with his arm.

If you have to, can you stay in the pocket, make a few throws, and just read what the defense is doing? He holds onto the ball. I know that line's not great, but he holds onto the ball way too long at times. He's a league leader in sacks. It's not because he's slow or kicking out of the pockets because you're exactly right.

He's no anticipation. He's a sea guy's open for where you throw. That doesn't work in the NFL. Remember when Russell Wilson had the offensive line problems in Seattle? And we always just thought the offensive line was horrible.

And his offensive line was bad, but it was also pointed out. And if you watch those games, you also saw that some of it was he held onto the football way too long. You got to have an internal play clock that just goes, you got to get rid of the ball. You get rid of the ball.

And I don't know if Justin Fields has that right now. And you have to accept that not every play is going to be a 50 yard touchdown ball. Yeah, sometimes the best plays you make are the ones you don't make.

If that makes sense. Miami at Detroit. Tua taking the next step. The Lions defense stinks. Their offense at one point was the number one offense in football.

It's not good. I know they get the Andre Swift back. So that's a positive and Monro say and proud expected to play. Two is good for half last week.

And then the second half he wasn't all that play a complete game blood. The Lions. I think the speed is too much for that for Detroit. I expect Miami to win and win big.

It's it's weird to me that spreads only three and a half. I Vegas know something for you know, they are good their job for a reason. I can't is this 45 42 dolphins have a good defense is this 45 42 like that Philly game or whatever that score was earlier. I'm going to say no that's what I'm watching. I want to see the the dolphins evens can slow down this offense. I know you like making fun of the number one offense at one point this year, but they got weapons Detroit does it's can you slow them down?

I'll say like I don't know 28 17 48 45 is the Sea Hawk game for the Lions 38 35 was the game against the Philadelphia Eagles for the Detroit Lions. All right next game Cardinals at the Vikings. This is a defining game for Kyler Murray and Cliff Kingsbury.

You got off to a poor start. No one's running away with the NFC West. You're going up against a Minnesota team. That's five and one coming off a by they have a really good offensive area. Smith is helping out that defense, but they're not a team that is this dominant force with the Minnesota Vikings. Surprise me Arizona go win the game. Cliff Kingsbury Kyler Murray get back to 500 and salvage your season. This is like a head coach game for Kevin O'Connell Cliff Kings very similar background similar kind of offense is like but there's no pressure on Kevin O'Connell guys playing with house money right now.

They're five and one. They're going to win the division if they don't end up with a division of different conversation all the pressures on Cliff Kingsbury. I don't care that he just signed an extension through 2027. There's so much more pressure on Cliff in this one than Kevin O'Connell.

Oh, I know I totally agree. But yeah, when you have a similar kind of style as offense, it's who can you know have a new wrinkle who can out scheme the other and that's what I think you're going to kind of see in this game. It's whoever offenses have more success.

I know the Vikings have more weapons. But so this has to be a game where Cliff Kingsbury can out scheme Kevin O'Connell kind of win this game on his own kind of validate his contract. Raiders at the Saints. No Michael Thomas no Jarvis Landry for the New Orleans Saints Andy Dalton will start once again at QB for the Saints. No excuses for the Raiders. I love the Raiders this week. I think the Raiders win. This is once again like we talked about Arizona coach quarterback car and McDaniels you cannot lose this game this week. And honestly the best player needs to be Josh Jacobs and he has been the best player for the Raiders the last three weeks continue to feed number 28 Josh Jacobs. You've talked about maybe a Raiders like you know come back after the season maybe make a little noise after their awful start. This has to be a game where then it's again it's the Saints are not a very good team but it's on the road East Coast time zone or Central time zone.

I guess I should say so you're coming out East this has to be game. You went like no excuse to just win the game Patriots at the Jets. I think there's two thoughts here. So I will ask you which one you want to take. Do you want to take the Patriots side or the Jets side because I think the thought is the same. Oh you take the Patriots side as you're the Patriots fan.

Okay. Matt Patricia you bozo Joe judge you bozo last year. Mack Jones was a quarterback of a 10 and 17 last week. I don't know what the heck happened. That was a disaster.

I put that on Bella check. I don't know if judge and and also Patricia don't like Mack Jones. I don't care if they like him or not. That is your guy. That's your first-round pick. Mack Jones even if you can't stand Joe judge even you can't stand Matt Patricia even though they didn't give you a number one wide receiver.

I know the Jets have a really good defense and sauce Gardner is one of the better younger players in the National Football League. This is a middle finger game for Mack Jones. This is I got boot off the field last week at home. I got bench for Bailey zappy.

It was a disaster. If you're Mack Jones go win the game this week and go show everyone why you were a first-round pick a year ago. And I know it was a fugazi Pro Bowl appearance because like six other guys said no, but he was a pro ball quarterback in your number one. Technically if you look at the mantle and his trophy mantle in his house.

You're talking about a Mack Jones game. I'm saying this has to be exact will see again his second home run. Early favorite for World Series MVP at a solo blast and just had a three-run shot. Five-nothing Astros.

Okay, go ahead. I'll look at the other quarterback Zach Wilson. He's not played well at all this season. The Jets have won primarily on their running game and their defense and a little special teams as well. You're out with you're out with Breece Hall.

He's out for the rest of season. Unfortunately, this game where Zach Wilson plays well and kind of shows you some sort of life at quarterback make some place. Pittsburgh at Philadelphia. I want to see if Pittsburgh could keep it close.

I think the Eagles are going to win big. I just don't know what to expect out of the Pittsburgh offense right now and the defense in Pittsburgh hasn't been as good as we thought it was going to be. I want to see if Pittsburgh keep this within a one score game entering the fourth quarter and then who knows how it unravels from there. It's weird to say I think there's like a focus game for the Eagles.

They come off the by their six and other feeling themselves. The Steelers are not very good. This has to be a game where you come in. I want to see what their focus is because if not, I think the Steelers are hanging around for a little bit. I think the Eagles win this game, but this should be a game where you dominate from start to finish and just really don't even allow the Steelers have a chance really or a breath.

If you will. Titans at the Texans. I want to see if Ryan Tannehill plays.

It's questionable. So if not, then Malik Willis would start. The way that the Tennessee Titans just destroy the Texans, though, it really shouldn't even come down to Ryan Tannehill feed Derek Henry over and over and over and over again. But this is another low spread. Titans only a two and a half point favorite.

It's one of those spreads that you look at and your eyes open up saying what's Vegas telling me that I don't know. It shouldn't come down to Tannehill, but I got to see how healthy Tannehill is because there may be who knows the Texan surprise some people. I want to see the Titans play in the second half. This is like literally the worst second half team in all the NFL. Last week was their first time they scored a point in the fourth quarter. There's a field goal against the Colts. This team, for whatever reason, gets off to a hot start every single week and they just don't forget to play, just take the foot off the gas. They can never finish out game strong.

Can you just close out the Texans and actually play as good of a half in the second half as you in the first? By the way, random question. The Yankees were Pedro Martinez's daddy, right? Yes. The Astros are the Yankees daddy, right?

Yes. Who's Ryan Hickey's daddy? My dad, Joe Hickey. No, no. Well, yes, but in the sports world, who's your daddy?

I don't have one. The Tennessee Titans. No, Daddy.

Oh, yes, they are. No, you can't say that because the Colts have dominated up until like two years ago. The Colts have dominated the Titans and the Colts were the Titans daddy. You've lost five straight.

Yeah, but for 25 of my 28 years on this earth. True or false. You have not won the division since what? 2014 2014. You have lost the last five straight to Tennessee. That's true. Okay.

Thank you very much. Commanders at the Colts. The Colts the son of the Tennessee Titans. I want to see what Sam Ellinger is. Cuz Jim Erce after seven games. I know Matt Ryan was horrible, but there's a lot bad situations around him. He said I've had enough of Matt Ryan contractually. We can't we're not going to play him.

We don't want to ruin the the guaranteed money and all that and how it's situated out. And they're going to Sam Ellinger. Sam Ellinger to me is not a starting quarterback in the NFL. I just want to see what Sam Ellinger could do. I want to see how this Colts team reacts because there was a lot of shock.

This was a joke, baby. This but it was all like could be in a negative way. They were a lot of people were surprised. It does not telling a lot of people were on board with the Sam Ellinger move. I think you're on to something. If you go to Sam Ellinger, not that Matt Ryan is a great quarterback anymore, but Matt Ryan has a long track record in this league.

He's a pro. The owner pulling the plug and it seems like this was contractually. It does feel like this is we're tanking out guys. We're not trying to win as many games as possible. We're trying to go get our quarterback of the future. And if you're some of those veteran players, remember what happens early next week trade deadline.

Do you maybe try to get at that game quickly or tell the coach? Yeah, my back hurts because you don't want to get hurt before the trade deadline. You wonder how invested this team is.

It's a great point you bring up one player in Kenny Moore. All of a sudden today is a finger injury questionable for Sunday. Oh, really?

Yes. It's like my knee injury out of nowhere. My left knee just out of nowhere woke up this morning. My left knee was hurting me still went to the gym.

They did an hour on the article. No big deal San Francisco at the Rams. The Rams have no more excuses. They've never defeated Jimmy Garoppolo. The Rams will not get the Niners. We'll get the Niners without Debo Samuel. I know their offensive line is terrible and the 49ers defense line is really damn good. Matthew Stafford is not looking good this year.

It's Cooper Cup. That's their entire offense. No excuses for the Rams this week. I know the 49ers have their number and the 49ers are their daddy, but you don't have to go up against Debo. You just got to find the way the boy won during Sean McVay.

You mentioned the 49ers are the Rams. Dad, you have to win this game. This is like I feel like a Sean McVay game. You've been putting a blender by this 49ers defense.

The matter if it's Robert Salah or if it's D'Amico Ryan's. You have to figure out a game plan that only limits the defensive line for the 49ers but also gets his offense going for really the first time this year and it also highlights how bad this offensive line is. If they can't find a way to put up enough points when the 49ers are without their most lethal weapon and this could be a huge Christian McCaffrey game to get him going.

That's why you got him, right? Giants at the Seahawks. Here's my thought. I can't believe I'm saying this. I'm really excited for Daniel Jones against Geno Smith. This is like a legit test for both teams. It's like kind of crazy to say that like I'm yeah, like this is a great test for the Giants on the road against the division leader and for the 40 for the Seahawks game means more for Seattle. You can start to pull away here.

Pull away and outside of the charges is actually the argument. This is the best thing they've played so far the season Seahawks. Yeah, it's wild to say. Green Bay at Buffalo. Will the Packers cover the spread 11 and a half their dogs. No, Alan Lazard, Kaaba and I are Rogers criticizing the coach can the Packers cover the spread and if I'm better this game. And I like in principle you wouldn't bet against Rogers and ever he's getting 11 and a half points, but I don't know how I would not lay the 11 and a half points of Buffalo. I'm staying away, but if I had to make a play on hair, I would then hammer the 11 and a half with the bills is weird to say let down on a Sunday night game against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers but like you with how bad they've been and how many injuries now the Packers have suffered. There's no way the bills lose this game unless Josh Allen gets her.

There's no way the bill I would agree, but also to I just want I would if they can't sell. Bengals and the Browns. Teagan's Tyler Boyd. No, Jamar Chase. Tyler Boyd last week and I on football said they have three number one wide receivers. Tyler Boyd and Teagan's got to take that next step this week without Jamar Chase and this has to be a Bengals defensive run-stopping game. You know that they're only going to the Browns only going to just try to run Nick Chubb into the ground and you know, as much as they can. Will they even play Kareem Hunt? Fair question. I mean, because all the trade numbers Tuesday, so I don't feel like he might be traded by that point. I don't know, but you're right. If they're not probably not. I wonder they hold him out.

I have to you have to this point, right? You can't I don't know last year. We saw Zach Gertz. Remember his last game, Philadelphia. They agreed to the trade played him and then they trade him to Arizona because they want to win more home game.

We've had great teams for our entire life and right now both of our teams it looks like we're trended in the wrong direction this year.

Is everything okay? Yeah, you know what Zach you know us Steelers fans us Patriots fans pretty spoiled. I'd say you guys a lot more spoiled Steelers fans. You know, we never could get quite past the Patriots but you know, it kind of stinks but you know, I cherish the good times the memories, you know, and I think I think this will be a down year for the Steelers, but I'm excited for what the future has in store. Do you think Chase Claypool is going to be on this team next week or is he going to get traded? I think Chase Claypool will be on the team next week. Do you want him to get traded?

Just wondering? No, I don't because you know, the guy has a lot of talent and he really does and I know his performance on the field doesn't really show it most of the time, but you got to understand that this team got Stevie Wonder calling plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers. I mean this guy is clueless, bro.

Yeah, I'm just gonna got a limb here. Canada's been pretty damn bad. He wasn't even that good in college, man. You're exactly right and I do find it even though it comes at your expense very amusing. I love the weekly complaints from Steelers fans about the offensive play calling because it's exciting to watch, but it's not my offensive coordinator. Now my offensive coordinator stink with Patricia and judge, but the the rhetoric on Twitter about Canada is very funny for me.

Yeah, yeah, so not good for you, but funny for us. But hey, it cancels out all together with Matt Patricia calling the plays. I've had enough of Patricia. Anyway, let's get to the picks.

I'll start things off. My first pick I'm going to go this spread is really low and I know Tannehill may not play. I'm going to maybe it's me being a sucker here, but Tennessee they're much better team than the Texans. I think Texans only play for like 30 minutes.

I'll lay the two and a half points of the Tennessee Titans. Wow. Wow.

That's interesting. I might pick is actually my underdog play is the Texans. I like that. So we're going up. We're going up against each other. Literally this week head-to-head on this game. So you're taking the Texans plus two and a half my next game.

Yeah, go ahead. No, I just I just think you know, they run the ball pretty well and you know, I'm not not really sure what's what's the status of Tannehill how hurt he really is. But yeah, I'm going to go. I'm going to go with the Texans this week. I think they'll go run the ball efficiently.

My next pick I'll give you my underdog since you just gave yours. I don't like the direction of this Colts team. Now, I'm not a fan of the commanders. I can't support that organization, but the Indianapolis Colts. I don't know how bought in that locker room is going to be. I know Matt Ryan was not playing good football, but you take him off the field.

People think that would give a jolt of energy. I wonder if people start to check out because it seems like now that's a team that's tanking Taylor Heineck. He has the quarterback advantage here over Sam Mellinger. I'm getting three points. I'll plus the three points with the commanders. There you go.

There you go. You know for this week. This is a dog week for me. I'm going to have another underdog play Arizona Carlos Cardinals plus three and a half against the Vikings Hopkins getting back in the groove. I think I think this offense can score a lot of points and I think this will be a shootout type of game. I just think the Cardinals I'm even sprinkle in the money line on this game. I think the Cardinals might even win this game, but I'll be safe and I'll take the three and a half.

Yeah, I agree with you on that one. I'm not playing that game. But if I did have to play it, I would go to the Cardinals plus three and a half and my final pick I'm going to Monday night. This game's at three points. The Bengals are trending in the right direction. I know Jamar Chase now is going to miss some time.

You still have T Hagan. You still got Tyler Boyd Bengals defense is solid. You got to load up against the run against the Browns with Nick Chubb and we'll see if Kareem Hunt plays with all those trade rumors.

I just got to think that Joe Burrow is going to find a way to light up this Browns defense, which has been underperforming Bailey Zappi lit them up. I know they have some good pass rushers, but I look at Joe Burrow against Jacoby Brissett and you also had the Bengals getting the Browns get the best of the Bengals twice last year and I'll ask him a season to no matter, but I love borrowing this one. Give me the Bengals laying three. My last pick will be no other than I'm going with three dogs this week on the point with the points. Give me the Steelers man.

Give me give me the Pittsburgh Steelers plus 10 and a half. You know, I may or may not have some inside information on this. Um, but let's just say there will be a guy who comes back who's been out for a long time. Mr. TJ Watt. I know you guys are very close friends. He's giving you some inside info. I didn't say I got it from TJ.

I'm not saying I did not get it from TJ. All I'm saying is get ready NFL. This will be the sack leader this year. He's behind but I guarantee you he'll get there. Well, that's a bold take.

I will say this though. I saw a video last week of you in Miami with TJ Watt running up to you and saying hello the moment he got on the field. Jerry, did he whisper into your ear that I'm going to be back next week?

He may or may not have that. Okay, can I bet if TJ Watts gonna play now if Jersey Jerry's giving me the info I may have to go with it. TJ Watt will be on the field this week. I love it.

All right. So here are the picks from Jersey Jerry's taking the Texans plus two and a half the Cardinals plus three and a half and the Steelers plus ten and a half and then for yours truly I'm taking the Titans minus two and a half. I like the Commanders plus three and I'm going with the Cincinnati Bengals laying three against the Cleveland Browns Jersey Jerry appreciate the time as always. We'll do it again next week.

Yeah, we will later that you got it. There is Jersey Jerry who's now turning into Jersey Jerry Adam Schefter with maybe some potential TJ Watt News right there. The two of them are very close and he just said that TJ Watts gonna play. Let me tell you Ryan if Jersey Jerry is right on that and TJ Watt does play.

Don't get me wrong. He picks the Steelers every week. But if TJ Watt is playing shouldn't all these NFL insiders that all say they have the story first when only like Schefter, Rappaport and Palisero actually have it first in Glazer too. Don't they have to then credit Jersey Jerry? I think they have to credit Jersey Jerry. If TJ Watt does play and we see on Sunday like Adam Schefter is reporting that TJ Watt is going to play for the for the Steelers up against the Eagles shouldn't it be Jersey Jerry had at first because that seemed like an exclusive report to me. I would agree.

I don't think it will happen but that's the way it should go down. You know what? We're going to get that clip out there because we want receipts we're very big into receipts now Robert Sal and Arthur Smith made us be very big into receipts. Geno Smith Daniel Jones. I know that you think eventually the balloon is going to pop in the Seattle Seahawks for this season. Where is the confidence level heading into this game on Sunday that the Giants are going to get to seven and one?

Scale of one to ten. This would be the highest I've been all season since the Panther game six. I think that I does not not overly confident.

Highest of high number six is not a high because I haven't been overly confident every game. The Giants have played so then you should be like a foreign keep up the now. No, because I feel like at first I didn't like this matchup especially note with Bredesen and Neil gon. So two-fifths of the offensive line are not there for the Giants and that's a problem because they're gonna need to establish the run. They have no high receiver still so they're still trying to play gimmicky good scheme football.

I'm but I'm starting to buy it. I'm starting to buy everything about this team. I'm starting to buy everything about Brian Dable and I'm starting to think that their confidence. We talked a little bit about this don't underestimate a team that's confident in themselves and when they start to believe that they're better than they are they play a lot better than they are. The Giants are in that spot the Seattle is a tough game, but I don't think they're overly talented and I think the Giants have proven that late in a game. They trust themselves and they saw the best player in the field in Saquon Barkley. This is a fascinating matchup to me because the Seahawks are better than what people think and the Giants are six and one have already said that the Giants are going to the playoffs this year when you just look at the schedule. I said it two weeks ago and you're right in that belief because Dable they believe in him.

Pete Carroll that everyone was killing in this off season the Seahawks players believe in him. Yeah, you have two running backs Saquon's looking like comeback player of the year Kenneth Walker started look like rookie of the year now maybe with Breece Hall out for the season with the way that he's played the last three weeks very similar teams and defenses where you may not look at the names and go wow, super-duper talented, but they find a way to just force turnovers and play well and make timely stops. This is this to me is a I think this just comes down to a field goal.

I really do. I think this is like a 2320 type of game. Well, let's be fair neither one of these teams are good enough to blow out anybody. So I don't think I think all games are going to come down to that one score type of situation which kind of look like a Jackson the last Ryan which the Giants have played every single game this season. It's been a one score game every game because they're not good enough to blow anybody out and I do feel like it again.

Maybe this is my knock on Geno Smith, which I really don't look like I got anything against the guy, but I do feel like the Giants with their blitz schemes. They're going to confuse him at some point. He's going to make a mistake at some point and that could be all you need. And we also don't know how healthy DK and Tyler are right like going into this right. This is this is a game.

It's weird. I'm really excited for Seahawks and Giants the Giants. I can't believe I'm saying this into a microphone. I feel as if I'm hosting on this network on April Fool's Day could be seven and one after this game. If you told me the Giants are gonna get seven wins on the season. I thought that was like maybe their apex this year seven through the first eight weeks. It's funny because I some people thought I was nuts. Could I said I thought I was like, oh, yeah, maybe seven maybe eight wins and they're like, oh, that's a lot. I'm like, no, it's not.

They're not awful, but they're not good. I didn't expect this. I never in a million years thought that you know, I have to give credit to Kevin Wall before the season started was walking around the newsroom. And I think Kevin Wall just left our company.

I think he got a job with ESPN. So congratulations to Kevin. Congrats, but he's been behind the scenes here for many years at CBS Sports Radio and Kevin Wall who is a huge Giants fan and I'm sure he says this every year.

I was gonna say I don't want to I don't want to rain on this. There is not been one season that Kevin hasn't told me that the Giants are better than everybody tells them but he's hasn't said it to me. So this year he goes I think the Giants are gonna be a lot better than people think and he's like don't be surprised if they have nine wins.

I got nine wins. He goes I think they can make the playoffs this year and I go based off what he goes look at the schedule and I said to him this way said to him I go all right, you're not rolling the schedule is not the most impossible thing in the world. But you look at some of these teams is easy wins. That's what everyone looks at like the Giants. Now the Giants have found a way to pull out every single game, but the Cowboys game now and the funny part is where you talk about that schedule not being that difficult.

Here's the easy part. Coming after the Seattle game even the Seattle game too because I mean coming through the seasons, right? Yeah, I mean you never thought the Green Bay game the Baltimore game.

No, these are not games that they don't have a chance. They were the 10 points of those games you'd be in Tennessee to open the season like these are the games that were the automatic losses. So you were looking at some of the underbelly of oh you could beat Seattle. You can be the Texans. You can beat the Lions. So if the Giants actually take care of business now in this underbelly and all of a sudden the back end of the schedule doesn't matter. We're looking at a couple of games with the Eagles and the Cowboys, but if you're sitting at 9 10 and 1 which are already in unbelievable to think about yeah, there's not enough teams in the NFC to keep you out of the playoffs. The Giants could potentially even if they lose this week and then they win the next two there. They would then be sitting at 8 and 2.

I think going into Thanksgiving into Dallas, right? You win one more game. You're in the playoffs in the NFC this year. You might be a 10.

I mean really let's look at the NFC. All I have to do is just get in at 9. They get one more win that gets them to 9. They're you may have to sweat it out a little bit 9 is a little rough.

You got to get to 10. I think but it's in play, but when you wind up third in your division at 9 wins, it's a little rough to try to get in. I hear you don't have to I hear you because you're gonna have a bad conference record. You have a bad division record. So like I get I get it but who the hell would have thought again coming as we're talking about playoffs. I always I said look for the last as bad as it's been I've been saying it's been my mantra.

Basically get me to Thanksgiving where I have a chance to even watch just watch a season. Can you not unravel before we open the candy on Halloween? Now, we're talking playoffs before we open the can which is absolutely insane.
