Nothing says Christmas like a water buffalo. For a poor family in Asia, getting a water buffalo is like getting a farm tractor to pull a plow, or getting a milk truck full of delicious milk, or getting a stand at the market to sell cheese.

A water buffalo opens the door for work, food, and income. More importantly, it opens the door to talk about Jesus. And nothing says Christmas better than that. One thing seems to be bothering little Janet Lennon.

Aladdin, go on over and see if you can find out what's troubling her. Gee, if I could only have my two French teeth, then I could wish you Merry Christmas. Welcome to the Christian Cardi Radio Show.

I say this call for action and now... I want a hippopotamus for Christmas Only a hippopotamus will do Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas Want a plane that moves the loo Me, I want a hula hoop All I want for Christmas is you Today's Christian Cardi Show, we are getting our Christmas want on. Not want on.

That would be Chinese food, Scott. But no, we're getting our Christmas want on. Like, needy out loud, that's the idea. Like, you heard Janet Lennon write in the Lawrence Welk Show from years and years ago, and Aladdin asked a question, you know, what do you want?

What do you want? And then, of course, Gayla Peavey, have you heard that one, Scott? She wanted a hippopotamus for Christmas, which I don't know how that worked out for her. But anyway, and who could forget Alvin and the Chipmunks, right? And he made it very clear, if you've ever seen the cartoon, that he wanted a hula hoop, you know?

He knew what he wanted, and he stuck with it. And then, of course, Mariah Carey, you know, All I Want for Christmas. So, you may guess that this has to do with how. What about, what do you want?

What do you want for Christmas? And, of course, as always, the Christian Car Guys show is brought to you by Hebrew Letter. And so, today's show would be perfectly brought to you by the Hebrew Letter Hoof, which is spelled K-A-F, so don't ask me how they got the pronunciation.

I don't know. But it's pronounced hoof, and the idea of the Hebrew Letter Hoof is two things. Number one, if you hold out your hand with your palm up, then you get this sort of like cupping that you see there, and that is a picture of the Hebrew Letter Hoof. Is it you're asking for a blessing?

And do you have the humility to ask for a blessing, right? This is part of getting your wand on, and it has to do with the Hebrew Letter Hoof. But the way that you might often see the Hebrew Letter Hoof that you never thought about is when you see the little skullcap that's on a monk, or you see it on a Jewish Hamakah, you know, those little skullcaps that they wear. What's the same sort of a curvature sort of crown thing that has to do with desire, okay? And the idea of the hoof is that desire is a super consciousness. In other words, if you desire something, if you want something bad enough, like your two front teeth, right? But if you want something bad enough, then actually you can begin to develop the intelligence in order to be able to do it.

In other words, if you want to play the piano bad enough, and you're willing to make all those sacrifices, well, you develop the intelligence to play the piano and that kind of thing. So desire is actually, from the Hebrew concept, sort of a super consciousness, and it's above your intellect. And so, you might have guessed that this desire, we hope, at some level is supposed to be for God. But, you know, the neat thing about Christianity, and I don't know if you've ever thought about this, but it's true that Christianity is a belief, a concept that you can have a life full, right, of your desires. That you're going to get the desires of your heart. You're going to have an abundant life. And not bury your desires, like certain other belief systems have, but here, you know, now we're not going to discipline ourselves into not wanting this or wanting that, because we realize that God put those desires in our hearts. So what's the godly way to fulfill them?

Therein lies the opportunity for us. But if I were to go ask, and here's how it applies to Christmas oh so well, okay, so if I were to go ask my four-year-old grandson, Cash, what do you want, what do you want, Cash, for Christmas? And he told me, well, Papa, whatever your will is from, you know, whatever you think would be best for me, Papa, that would be great. I would look at him and go, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I want to know what you want, what you really, really want for Christmas.

Right? And why do I ask him that? Because I want to see his eyes light up. I want to know what he wants. Well, do you not think God, the ultimate Father, is exactly right there?

He's right there with you. And so this show, as you might guess, I'm hoping that you will call in today with what have you asked, have you made out your list? Like, and this is not for, this is for the real Father, right? And presenting it to him, what is it that you really, really want? And, you know, if you can do that, I would love to hear from you, 866-348-7884.

866-344-TRUTH. And I have Scott Barton here because this is our Jesus Labor Love Weekend. And so Scott's our lead volunteer. And Scott, if people didn't humble themselves and tell them they needed help with their car, we wouldn't have a ministry, right?

Absolutely. It takes a certain amount of courage to even make that call, to even fill out that application. And that's a great observation, Robby, because the first step is actually having the vulnerability, the humility to actually ask for help.

And a lot of times that's the biggest hurdle. And that's where we start. Yeah. And so it's really a cool thing that God loves us so much, right? He wants to know. He wants to know what he wants.

And that's what prayer is about, right? It's not only obviously, you know, having this discussion, but by the way, when I was thinking about it this morning, I not only had this discussion with God on what I want, which actually was sort of a repentant. What I asked, you know, I did a show a few weeks ago on I don't ever want to hang up. I want to have a relationship with you where I'm always in connection with you. I want to never hang up. I don't know how that's going to happen, but if you want to know what I want, that's what I want.

And then I thought, well, how fun. God, what do you want? What do you want? And we prayed through that.

I spent a little time on that. God, what do you want? And interestingly, what he wanted for me, you know, as we talked about that, is he wanted me to not feel the shame I feel quite often and be afraid and hide, right? And the way that he said he would work with me on that one is that he would continue to father me. You know, when I felt shame about something like I don't want to have this discussion or I don't want to do this, then it would be like a check engine light being a Christian car guy that's flashing on my dash saying, Robbie, you need the father, Robbie, you need.

If you're feeling shame, here's your check engine light flashing. And so the cool thing is we got all these callers lined up, Scott, and we got three of them. I'm really looking forward to them.

That's awesome. And hearing what they want. So not coincidentally, there are eight verses in the 119th Psalm that go into beautifully this whole idea of desire, this whole idea of the Hebrew letter huff. And the neat thing is that it's through my observation, you know, I do a daily podcast on 119th Psalm.

It's called The Hidden Treasures, 119th Psalm. And what I have observed is that the Holy Spirit clearly had the psalmist on the seven anointings of the Holy Spirit of each of these letters. So since every letter is Jesus, right? And Jesus has that anointing of wisdom and understanding and counsel and might and knowledge and fear of the Lord and delight and the fear of the Lord.

Guess what? In each letter, we get to see, number one, where's the wisdom of that letter? Where's the understanding of that letter? Where's the counsel of that letter?

Right? Where's the might of that letter? Where's the knowledge? And so as we go through the show today a little bit, I'm going to share what those are when it comes to this idea of desire. And so we're going to just, here we've got all these callers, we're going to get to them in a minute. But, you know, how about you, Scott?

What did you want? Which is pretty cool, I already know, but go ahead. Ah, you hear that music? That means we're going to go to a break. And when we come back, we've got Mrs. Ward, we've got Christian and Charlotte. So we've got all these wonderful calls. Call us.

I know we're going to have a little trouble with the new call screener 866-348-7884, 866-34-TRUTH when we come back. Good morning, Janet, honey. How did Santa Claus treat you? Did he give you everything you wished for? No? Well, what is it you want? You got to love that.

I could with you. Merry Christmas. You're going to love it.

You just got to love it. But anyway, what do you we want to get our want on for Christmas today on the Christian Car Guys show. And what have you made a list? If you ask God, you know, these things that, you know, what an opportunity it is every year.

I enjoy doing it. Of really getting getting our wants on. So when we left our heroes, God, he was fixed to tell us. Go ahead. I without sounding too benevolent, I want more Tov. And you ask what is Tov? Well, I'm sitting directly across from a Hebrew scholar.

Y'all didn't know that had but Robbie. He knows quite a bit of Hebrew. And I need more Yamas.

And Yama is a Hebrew word for days. And seriously, I feel like I need to spend my time more in a judicious manner. In fact, just in the last month, I've been praying and talking to some dear friends about eradicating the word busy from my vernacular completely because I feel like it's just a dismissive term when you're speaking with somebody and they're asking how you're doing. I'm busy. I'm busy. I can't do this. I'm busy. I'm busy.

And I don't want to be that person. And so I've been praying diligently. And I'm well, there's a story behind that that's worth telling Scott that you you got it from your little brother. And I would love for listeners to know.

I mean, this is a place from deep in your heart. Yes, yes. As some of you know, I lost my little brother in 2016. And he was my best friend.

His name is Philip. And we spoke, we laughed every single day we laugh so much. But the one thing he wanted, the one thing he loved the most was people coming over and watching ball games with them and spending time and I did and I did you know what I could, but I would scold him because we were so close and I'd say I'm busy. I'm busy. I don't have time.

And the other day I was getting out some Christmas decorations few weeks ago and I ran across a card that I'd saved from him that so dear to me and and what he what he said in there is I'll be happy when you have more time. Yeah, and and so I've been trying to work on that. So I need more Yamas and we need more days.

We need more out. But anyway, it's an interesting thing. God is obviously giving you this opportunity, right? Absolutely.

And, you know, there's so many cool ideas that are wrapped up in there. So how about you? What is yours? 866-348-7884. We got Eugene is in the Philippines, so we better get him fast. He's overseas.

So Eugene, you're on the Christian Car Guys show. Good morning. Well, your morning, my nighttime, sir. I understand. That's why I joke with people.

Stop living in the past. There you go. That's a Christmas present right there. There you go. You know, as far as what I would like to see is one of the things I always tell people here and when I speak with them in the state is excuse me for the car.

If you want to receive a blessing, be a blessing to someone. Yeah, absolutely. That's very, very well said. Do you have a story along those lines, Eugene? How many hours do you have? Well, we don't want to say we're busy, but we've got some time.

If you got a good story, I'd love to hear it. Well, yeah, a friend lives in Brooklyn, New York. In the last stages of Parkinson's. And we've been speaking together on the phone because this is a US cell phone number, by the way. I thank God for that. And then spending some time praying together.

Yesterday, he went back to the doctor for a checkup and they can find no traces of Parkinson's anymore. Wow. Yeah.

That's just oh, man, man, oh, man. And if I may put a little plug in to your list. Sure. We we do have a YouTube channel. It's simply called our or you are Philippines ministry. Although we the only two new videos on there are our daughter, Sarah. Sarah Hannah, by the way.

The others, we've been unable to do any new videos because we've been on lockdown since March of last year. Wow. That is so it's our H.O.U.R. Philippine.

No, no, no. Oh, oh, you are. Oh, our I thought. Yeah, but I asked because I thought you were making reference to time earlier, but it's actually our Philippine ministry. Very cool.

And it's on YouTube. Well, wonderful. Well, thank you so much. God bless you, Jean. I'm so glad you called today and Merry Christmas. Well, thank you and Merry Christmas. And tell your listeners, don't forget to pray for all those folks where those terrible tornadoes went through in Illinois.

Kentucky, Arkansas, Kentucky, Kentucky was really bad in Arkansas that the entire roof of a nursing home collapsed. Saw that we will do that. Thank you so much, Eugene.

God bless. And we will be back with more. We got lots of calls and lots of your Christmas wants. So stay tuned. We got a lot more Christian Car Guys show coming up.

You're listening to the Truth Network and Truth Network dot com. Oh, is you getting your Christmas want on today on the Christian Car Guys show? What do you want for Christmas? And if you ask, it's a really neat idea and what a joy it is to be able to give somebody something that they really, really want. Well, that's what the blessing is. And the Lord wants to bless us. And if you look, we've talked about the Hebrew letter hoof. And if you look in the eighty first verse begins the eight verses on the hoof.

And I promised you I'd teach a little bit about that. So if you don't see desire in this, you're just not paying attention because the psalmist obviously has a very, very, very strong desire. Like Jesus said, if you're lukewarm on this one thing, he spits you out of his mouth.

He wants you to really, really want it. So the eighty first verse says the first. This would be the wisdom of the hoof. It says, my soul fainteth for thy salvation.

That's a pretty strong want. And it's for salvation. That's definitely wisdom. Like if that, you know, that's first on the list, it says, but I hope in thy word.

Right. And the interesting thing about that word word there is it's the masculine form of the word that becomes important to think about when we compare it to the next verse. But it's interesting that wisdom is a word that would be masculine. So keep that in mind, because the next the next verse is an equally strong desire, which has to do with why it's they start with all these verses to the letter hoof. And so it says, now my eyes fail for thy word, saying, when will thou comfort me? Now, here he uses the word word again, but he doesn't use the masculine form of the word.

He uses a mirror, which is the feminine form of the word. And that lines up with understanding, which is interesting, because if you think about it, right, if you wanted to get wisdom, it has to do with thirst. And you were going to get some wisdom and you wanted a well dug, would you go to your mom or your dad? Okay, you go to your dad to get your well dug. But hunger has to do with understanding. And this being the understanding of the hoof was that they're asking for a feminine word, which is comfort.

Okay, now, if if you just hurt yourself falling off the roof, who do you go to talk to? You don't talk to your dad about that. You need understanding because God, see, is gender full. Yeah, he's got all this stuff covered. But you got wisdom that he's see what he's asking for. He's asking for salvation, then he's asking for comfort. And then the third verse is counsel. And this is a beautiful thing.

And this is kind of what I think we all really want for Christmas. It says, for I've become like a wine skin in the smoke. Yet I do not forget thy statutes. And so what he's actually asking for there is he doesn't want to leak. Okay, because, see, here's the deal. If you are an Indian, you would know this, but since we're not Indians, and we don't tan a lot of skins, we don't realize that the way you make a skin waterproof is you smoke it. Right, you put it in the smoke in order to make it waterproof. So what King David knew and understood here, that in being a hunter, I do know this, right?

If you want to if you want to tan a hide, so just waterproof, you smoke it. And so he is saying, God, when you give me your word, I don't want to leak. Right. And how many mornings do we get up, we get all filled with the God. We leak all day long. So there's counsel, don't leak. And then I love, love, love, and here's the might, and I'm going to stop with this one, so do the rest in the last segment. But how many are the days of thy servant, and when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me? Now this would be counsel, since it's the third, excuse me, the fourth, the counsel was do not leak. Here's the might, okay?

Here's the might of the letter hoof. And it is the question, when? And this has to do with faith. Like he's asking, what he's really asking for, if you read that verse over and over again, it's verse 84. It sounds like he's wanting people to get even with his enemies. What he's actually asking is for the kingdom to come, right? Right. Because when's God going to execute judgment?

Well, that's the big day, right? And he's saying, when? And he's anxious. And you'll find that people that have the strong, strong desire, the person that wants the ball at the end of the game, that's the guy who's got a whole heart.

That's the guy you want the ball to have because he's got faith that he can get the job done. Well, you know, if you're a fisherman or a hunter, you know what I'm talking about. There's this thing called patience people think you need, but what you really need is that every second you got that bait in the water, you're expecting a fish to bite it. And that allows you to stay there as long as you need to, because your expectation is that the fish is going to bite. Well, the way Jesus put it for the people that were waiting on him to come, right, was keep your lamps burning because I'm on my way.

Right. Fill them with oil and keep the oil because I'm on my way. Be expecting. See, that idea of the might here is this such a burning desire for when you come in, dad. Well, you know, when when you're going to get here, you know, when are we going to get there? You know, every little kid on the way to every when, when, when.

So you think of a little kid and their desires, right. They have no shame in holding out their hand and saying, give me. Right. They they're always asking when. Right.

They don't want to leave all these kind of things. So we have Christian is in Charlotte. She's been hanging on a long time. Christian, you're on the Christian Car Guys show. It's perfect. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Good morning. How are you doing, everyone? Wonderful. Wonderful.

What have you got for us? Well, I've been listening and my heart has just been captured by all the stories that I've heard and all the messages and the verses that you read is really, really amazing. And so I was just grateful to be able to hear other people at the moment, because all I want for Christmas is peace and for everybody to have joy in their heart.

I put myself to the side and put the need for others first. It's fun to watch. It sounds like you have a young child there. You want them to have fun this Christmas, right? Yes, I do. I actually have seven.

So you're going to hear some of them out in the back. It's early in the morning. And this is how I know the day is blessed. You have your hands full. And you know, Christian, right, Scott?

I do. What a wonderful lady. So tell us, tell us a little bit about her story.

Well, Christian is had to overcome a lot. She had purchased this automobile, high end automobile, and she's still paying on it. And she just had one problem after another. And she's wrestling with that right now with the finance company and the people that she bought it from. At the same time, she's had to overcome some other issues with her her job and her living arrangements and found out last month that she did just get a new home.

And so if you want to tell us a little more about that, Christian, we'd love to hear it. Yes, that's after being home for almost three years. Me and my children was at the house, we had others just sleeping house to house, floor to floor. So I just want to, I just want to let you know how good God is. We just got a beautiful, beautiful home and a great neighborhood, great neighbors, the key are able to sleep in their own room.

I don't know if anyone would know the joy of just being able to lay on your own bed with a clean pillow, clean mattress, nobody walking in and out just to be in the safety and comfort of your own shelter. That by itself is a blessing in a whole. Just watching what we went through, just seeing the glory, the greatness of God would just put your heart in a whole different, a whole different way of seeing things. I had to go through a lot of what I went through, so that I could be humbled and grateful. And just my children, they cried.

And most of all, except for my baby, she doesn't know God, she's just born, that's why you're here. And most of the children, they just cried. And I didn't understand why. And they said, because mom, all year we might have didn't get to see you, because if you wasn't working, I had two jobs and I was going to school. And I was blessed to have my mother to be able to help me out with the children. And while I worked in school, I hardly had time to rest. I don't know how I did it. Well, God be the glory, excuse me, that is how I did it.

And there were days I went without sleep. Well, Christian, I hate to jump in on you, but we got to go to a break. So we're going to hear more from Christian. We have other callers too. And, you know, these are all part of the Jesus labor love, car repair labor for single moms, widows and families in crisis, part of the Christian Car Guy show, ChristianCarGuy.com. It's the ministry we've been involved in for years.

So glad to have Scott with us today and Christian. We'll be right back. We listen to the Truth Network.

TruthNetwork.com. Then I could with you, Merry Christmas. I could with you, Merry Christmas. We're getting our want on today on the Christian Car Guys show. And as we've talked about, this show is brought to you by the Hebrew letter of which has to do with desire. And we were in the 119th Psalm talking about that. I want to get a couple more verses in.

We'll go back to Christian and we got another caller. But anyway, as we move down in the Psalm, we talked about that there's wisdom and understanding and there's counsel and there's might. Then we get to knowledge. And that verse is the 85th verse, which is really insightful for you. OK, because the psalmist is going to teach us about desire you may not have thought about. OK, and it says the proud have dug pits for me, which are not after thy law. Now, the proud you could say who's the proudest individual angel that's out there? That would be Satan. And so here's some knowledge for you. You have an enemy, right?

You do. And he's proud. And he's been trying to trap you your whole life. He is the he fears you way more than you fear yourself. In other words, God has all this potential for you. And Satan, he knows this stuff. And so he has been digging pits for you your entire life. And actually, if you study where he's attacked to your life, you may find where your glory is because he he's trying to get you to hide what it is that you have been. So here's some knowledge for you. OK. Satan has some desires, too, and that desires to take away your life. That's why that first verse is so important to salvation.

But other than that, he's going to trip you up every single way you can. So there's some knowledge for you. It's not the only thing out there with desire is you. In this case, the desire is for your enemy is going to want to dig pits. But I'm going to jump on down because we don't have time to the eighth, what I call the miracle verse, because the eighth day is the biggie. Right. So here's the eighth verse of desire.

And wow, what a desire it is. Quicken me after thy loving kindness. That's it.

Right. Quicken me. Make me alive. So in loving kindness, so I shall keep the testimony of your mouth. In other words, as you become as loving and kind as God, guess what you do?

You actually build those desires and other people for God. I could give you examples, example after example, but I can tell you, I had a really neat lunch with my 31 year old daughter, and I hadn't asked her to lunch in a long time. And so when I asked her for lunch, she first questions to me were, Dad, do you have cancer again or am I in trouble? In other words, here was this like, oh, look what you've done.

What a great dad I am that my daughter thinks if I had to ask her to lunch that there's something huge going on here. OK. But as that lunch went on and we had a chance to share some love. Right. Right.

I could sense God coming after her heart and a lot of things that that we were able to talk about. The point is that, man, what a thing to ask for this Christmas. Right. Quicken me after thy loving kindness. So shall I keep the testimony of thy mouth. So we're going to go back to Christian. And Scott, if you could kind of give us an ask for Christian.

Right. We kind of need a car, don't we? Yes, yes, yes. For all those out there listening, we desperately need a nice big van or SUV.

Yes, she's got seven kids. So and if you're in the Charlotte or Winston, say, you know, somewhere in North Carolina would be helpful. But anyway, that's that's that's what we're going to we're going to just go ahead and ask. Right.

This time of year, you know, tax write off. You know, if you feel it's on your heart, she could sure use it. She's she's really trying.

Yeah. Christian, God bless you. We thank you so much for your connection with us and our chance to help. It's great. So grateful. And it's just great.

And he's the mercy. And that's what's been pulling me just kind of heart touching. Like I have been praying with me. There's days I've been down and he would take a moment out his day just to pray for me. And I would call him telling him the worst of news. And I would end up calling him back the next day with even better news than what I was worried about.

The news would be better the next day than it was when I don't know what to do. And so you actually, Scott, you've been walking with her through her getting the home and all this. It's been going on for a while. Yeah. Her prayer is steadfast. It is.

Charlotte, I got to move to another call. But thank you. Thank you. God bless you. And we know that that this is going to continue as is God puts it on people's heart to help you.

You have a Merry Christmas. God bless. I'm moving on to Mrs. Ward. It's good to have you back.

This is Ward. You're with us. You've been holding on even longer. Oh, hey.

Thank you for your patience. The virtue. But that's season.

That's just season stuff there. You know, because I won't listen to the program faithfully after you kind of relit my my light. You know, I was and grown weary of doing good.

And the staff kind of down and down started listening to Kristin Kargai. And that's why I said your light is still shining. And it kind of kept mine in my sky united back again. Oh, yeah. Yeah. God does. God does love me.

You know, things like that kept being refreshed and renewed. I have a want, desire and need. You know, my transportation.

I need something to be able to get back and forth. That's decent. Also, I would like that to fix my family because we've been broken.

Been like a purse type thing. I left my mom home at 15. My son left at when I grew up and got married and then had was abandoned by my husband. And I lived in the shelter.

So I know exactly what you're talking about, how you had to live there. And my son left at 15. But he had found out that he got molested by one of the ministers. And he didn't want to hear about God or anything.

So he ends up leaving. My daughter left at 15 from out of the home because she was angry because she thought that I had something to do with my my son's leaving out. That's all she could see. But Christina is grown up and I have heard from her. Yeah, I've even helped her on car. She's grown up and she was coming out of domestic violence. She was just coming up out of a shelter and she went into a home. She is a delightful young lady, too, by the way. I think I know that lady story that was just spoken, you know, so. But my thing is that my son has 11 children. I have 15 grandbabies. Oh, I cannot.

I wanted to see them. So he let me back in their life about last year. So God's beginning to heal the brokenness. But he doesn't yet want to talk about all that stuff that went on. He used to call me drinking, drunk, cursing me out about why I let things like that happen.

And I told him I didn't know anything that had happened like that. So it's kind of bitter with the church that I've been ministering to him and chipping down through the word of God. And he knows that I believe in God.

I just want to be able to get with him and my family. So I need like a RV to do ministry. I used to do ministry, too, in my home when I was abandoned and I came out of the shelter and I got my my first rental place. I ended up letting women come stay there. So in that last year, of course, even, you know, I got the name from the Lord.

This is the restoration. So I'm going to want to continue that. And we just I hate to jump in here, but we're unfortunately run out of time and you waited so long. But I do want to get a chance to pray with both you and Christian right now, as obviously that my son, my son's fiancee, he has COVID.

And they're like, OK, well, we got to pray. So, Lord, thank you for Mrs. Ward. And my heart goes out to her son and and his husband and her and his wife.

Yes. As she's struggling right now. But, Lord, we just pray for her family first and foremost, that that you would find ways to continue to reconcile that. We we pray for both the transportation needs of her and and for Christian. And most of all, we just thank you that we have a chance to connect with these folks and pray with them and have opportunities like this.

So thank you so much for all this. Thank you, Lord. We want to remind everybody and go to ChristianCarguy.com If you want to give to the Jesus labor, love or donate a car. All that stuff's there at ChristianCarguy.com If you want to just mail a check. It's the Jesus Labor Love 238, which is at 401 C three to 38. Sarah Lane, Winston-Salem, two seven one oh seven. Remember, slow down. Jesus walked everywhere he went. Got it all done in 33 years.
