Hidden Treasures of the 119th Psalm. I just love contemplating the 8th verse in a section and here we are today on Treasures of the 119th Psalm. We are in verse 64, which is the 8th verse in the Het section.
And so as we've been thinking that, you know, like Jesus came up, you know, on the resurrection on the 8th day after the triumphal entry and, you know, Jewish boys would be circumcised on the 8th day. And so here we are on the 8th verse of the Het section. And so here we see the fruit to an extent of all this idea of being united with Christ and what that looks like and even yesterday as we talked about being knit together with the body of Christ. Well, I think you're going to absolutely love this verse, which reads, the earth, O Lord, is full of thy mercy, teach us thy statutes. And that word mercy that we've got right here is hesed. And that hesed is the idea of loving kindness and there you get that Het is the way that the verse starts, like every single letter in the, I mean, like every single verse in the Het section.
And so this idea of loving kindness, like the earth is full of it. And again, you might remember when God revealed himself to Moses in the cleft of the rock, you know, he talked about hesed there and we hear, you know, King David, which actually at the end of the 23rd Psalm, it says, surely goodness and mercy. Well, that word mercy again, is this idea of hesed, which is God's loving kindness, which we talked about throughout this Het section, this idea of loving kindness is this idea of giving and giving and giving and giving. And so when you think about the whole worth being full of this loving kindness, I mean, it's, it obviously is overwhelming the psalmist. And so he goes to the thing that seems to be always on his heart, teach me thy statutes, thy hukam, the high, hard ones, because he's so full of all this God's given him. Interestingly, you know, like it says, for those who's much have been given more will be given, you know, how, you know, in other words, he's going to get even more.
And so even more than he wants says, you've given me all this God is give me understanding of teaching me these high hard statutes. Well, the you know, the thing that I think about with this verse, as we talked about yesterday of the whole body of Christ knit together, I don't know if you've noticed in the world, how many wonderful, unbelievable Christians there are all over the world. So you know, I'm blessed, blessed, blessed, I think often about how God took me out of the car business, put me in broadcasting, you know, back in 2006. And since then, what an adventure, and I get to go to the National Religious Broadcasters Convention every year, and I get to meet people from all over the world. And I get calls, as I do my shows, I get a chance to interview Christians, really, it just, I couldn't even count the countries. Nor could I, you know, begin to even fathom all the the hesed that I've seen in so many different ways that God is providing all over the world, and even in rescues, because I get a chance to do Landon Rescue, which is a show on how this team of wonderful Christian men go around the world saving people out of sex slavery. By the way, that podcast is absolutely amazing.
It's called Landon Rescue, and I couldn't recommend it enough, I get to do that with them. And their stories are absolutely beautiful. But once again, you see the whole earth, the whole earth is full of its hesed. And even if there's a girl in India on top of a, she was up on top of one of those swinging bridges trying to commit suicide. And, you know, she saw one of this team from Landon Rescue, and he tried climbing up there to get to her, and she was rescued and then put into a place where she could hear about how, you know, Jesus, Lord, literally sent this white man all the way around the world to help her not commit suicide.
That's how valuable that he is to her. So I get a chance to see all this. But then also, I want to make this really personal because it just blows me away with the technology that we have nowadays, this very podcast that I get a chance to do every single day when I look, I can do that now I can see exactly where the downloads in other words, where the people are that are listening to this particular podcast, I have that information. And when I look across the world, I'm blown away. And I can actually see every single day and often, you know, God puts it on my heart to pray for the regular people that I know are out there like, you know, there's clearly some people in Brussels that every single day they get my podcast and I love to pray for them. There's people in Spain that are like that people in France, there's some folks very a lot of folks actually in the Philippines, and in India, lots and lots and lots of folks in India.
You know, when I see those in Canada, when I see them in Brazil, I'm like, man, God, thank you for these people. And I don't know how to pray for them exactly. But I'd love praying. And so is again, I always put my email on the show notes. And if you've got something you want me to pray for you, I would be you have no idea how it would make my day to get an email from somebody who's listening to this and said, Robbie, you know, I would appreciate prayers. Well, I would believe me be honored, honored, honored for you to do that.
Again, my emails in the show notes. But also just just how cool is it that we in our own way, God has knit us together this team, the people in the United States, oh, my goodness, you know, there's I love it. You know, I look in the United States, and I was born in Idaho, but I live in North Carolina.
In fact, I lived in Illinois, and I lived in Michigan, and I lived in California and South Carolina, and Georgia. And so all those places, you know, as I see all these people download, I'm like, I'm, I'm praying out there for all these unbelievable places that God has allowed us to see what he's doing, right? I don't want anybody get this has nothing to do with me, it has to do with his loving kindness is filling the whole earth. And the way he's doing that is in you.
Right. And so as we are taught these statutes, which, to me have everything to do with how do we love the Lord our God with all our hearts, and all our soul and all our strength and our neighbor as ourself, you know, just if I learned that one, you know, those two, you know, I'd be well on my way. So, you know, but we are the we are we're we are the loving kindness he is showing around the world. And so as we just meditate on this particular verse, and think what the Psalms is saying is the fruit of being united to Christ is the world is going to be filled with his loving kindness.
