So, last time on Prepare Him Room, we talked about Moses and how he was so excited after he crossed the Red Sea that he wanted to prepare God room, which we know he finally was able to do that by building the tabernacle. And inside the tabernacle is the Holy of Holies behind the curtain that tore in two and, you know, Jesus was crucified. So, have you ever considered where, if we're going to prepare him room, exactly, you know, where would we build our temple, or what exactly might that look like?

So, if our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, as we're clearly told in Scripture, then where would the Holy of Holies be? Which brings us to several verses that I just wanted to run by you that clearly show that Jesus lives in our hearts, right? Just, you know, to begin with, in Luke 17, you know, he said, See here or see there, for indeed the kingdom of God is within you.

But here's some ways that Paul described it. In Romans 8 10, he said, But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 2 Corinthians 4, 6 and 7, because the God who said, Out of the darkness, light shall shine is the one who shined in our hearts to illuminate the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

But we have this treasure on earth and vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God and not of us. Then Galatians 1 15, But when it please God, reveal his Son in me. Galatians 2 20, I am crucified with Christ, and it's no longer I that live, but it is Christ who lives in me. Galatians 4 19, My children with whom I travail again in birth until Christ is formed in you. Galatians 4 19. And then in Ephesians 3 17, that Christ may make his home in your hearts through faith. Again, Ephesians 3 17.

Pretty clear right there, right? And then I love this one. Christ in you. That's Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1 27. And, you know, it becomes more and more clear that God is in that Holy of Holies, which is in your heart, which if you think about what was in the Holy of Holies, right?

It was the Ark of the Tabernacle, which is where Moses met with God. Well, don't miss that within that Ark was, first of all, manna, right? And we can get that manna in our heart as we prepare him room for 2021 every day when we get in his word, not by compulsion, but because I'm excited to learn what I might learn today. And we get that as manna, and it comes into our hearts. Secondly, right? God told us clearly he would write his law upon our hearts. Well, that's in there too. And so you kind of know what's right and wrong because God wrote that with the finger of God. It's pretty cool when you think about it.

And then thirdly, I just think this blows me away. It's the staff that budded, right? When they were deciding whether it was Aaron and Moses or these other guys that were supposed to be in charge, they compared rods. Well, Aaron's rod budded, and what it budded was almonds, right?

Because there's a beautiful thing. It's in Jeremiah 1, when he gets his first call, that he too sees an almond staff that's budded. And it's because in Israel, the first blooms that come out every year are the almond blooms. And so this is in fact the first fruits. Well, when you think about what a staff is, it's a position of leadership. The reason why Aaron was a leader, and certainly Moses was the leader, was they had the staff. Well, who is leading us?

It's the first fruits. It's in your heart, yes. If you're wondering why the Ark of the Covenant got gone, because the new location of the Ark of the Covenant is your heart. So as we again meditate on this for 2021, prepare him room. I'm looking forward to it. How can I prepare him room in my heart? More coming tomorrow.
