555-1111 yes today we are going to play hard-nosed leveraged negotiators or get ready to call and when that's good be so much fun. We are talking today about the lost art of negotiation and I know you have it in you know those a sale.
I hate that stuff I hate when people start negotiating well.
I would bet you if the stakes were high enough like they were for Abraham in somebody's life was on the line. Then all the sudden it might be worth it and it might be something that you want to do years ago. I'm here I was a car dealer for about 30 years. Whatever. But as you might imagine that the grand bazaar in Turkey. I kid you not. My why the other car salesman was telling you these were dealers right right now I don't know how long it been since they'd actually sold a car dealers get in the way up there in the highchair somewhere and sometimes I don't feel that way but this was the car dealer saying don't go in there. Those people negotiate. So I say that the lost art of negotiation is a serious issue in our culture and it's a wonderful thing you learned it as a child is deeply rooted in the Bible and is deeply rooted in you working to try to bring some of that out today as we can ask you to call in and play hard-nosed leveraged negotiation or negotiator Christian Car Guy style well last Sunday I was sitting in the pew with my wonderful sermon that I was hearing by River church actually Winston-Salem and they think line.

I think everybody else being the last, they get a lot of good ideas that I haven't heard one would be given Pastor Locke for several months now so I realized you know you're going to be paying tax on it come the end of the year so I would like to negotiate this price. The other would be to tell you that I do not have a cargo tray and I already have arranged my financing so the number that I gave you I can make a cash. The freight great points, which by the way, Greg, since you probably will be the last college that we get today. If you look carefully at the picture of the car that I put on Christian Car Guy.com you'll see it as a state inspection in the window that says it was state inspected and Jill in June and so did it to your point, you don't have to say well look at the state inspection and the window says you have that car segment since June the not only will you have to pay tax on it, you know, come the first year, but you been paying interest on that car car dealers pay interest on something that's been sitting on the lot and they have 90 days of floorplan assistance from the factory, so if you see a car that's been sitting on the lot for six months they are no longer getting floorplan assistance for the car is a person that your son that is the salesman that you're dealing with really understands the car business.
They realized the leverage that you play your saying what you are really paying no for $500 a month for this car to sit on the lot and yeah might mind my offer might be costing you for $500, but that's money that you not have to spend at the end of the month when you negotiate like that so only other thing I I've been surprised that no one mentioned is now with everything available on Internet. I actually have a pretty good idea what you paid for the car you have and I realize you have to make a profit, but you don't have to make it all on that's right. And those of those are good lines. The challenge I would have for anybody to get prices like that over the Internet is what you what you never know is what the factory to dealer incentives are on cars in the factories. Most dealers in fact all of my belief today have a number that if they reach a certain number of cars in a given month. They give them so many hundred dollars per car of every car that they sold that month and inherent incentive money so when you see what cost is it.
It's almost nearly impossible because there's been times. Honestly Greg when I was on the dealer in Marksville that there might be a $20,000 bonus for selling that particular car, and so to say I was willing to negotiate on that, because now I might lose $500 or thousand dollars to study the car but I'm in a get a check from Chrysler for $20,000 you you don't know, but those are things worth asking and worth going in there and finding out the Greg had a lot of great point.
