Watch yours. Forgive a choice to let it go. A writer wrote, forgive others not because they deserve forgiveness, forgive them because you deserve peace. The Bible reads in Matthew 6 and 12, forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.

In this passage we're asking God to forgive us or release us from the penalty of sin, death, and hell, and God has through and by the blood of Jesus. And just as God has forgiven or released us, as Christians we should be willing to forgive or release others from what wrongdoing, the hurt, the pain, or whatever they have done to us. You see, forgiveness is about letting it go.

Whatever that is, you have to let it go so you can heal and so you can move on in life and with God. We must understand if you and I don't forgive and we continue to hold on to that hurt or that pain or that anger or whatever it is, we will become bitter, mean, and resentful. When we don't forgive, we allow the devil to rob us of our joy, rob us of our peace, and rob us of our love, and even rob us of our mental stability. I know many people today might say, I'm sorry, or my mistake, and as the young people say, my bad. But for us as believers, we must take a step further and say, please forgive me and let it go. Remember, to err is human and to forgive is divine.
