Wow there's a wild story about the usurpation of parental rights here in America that talked about the good Rabbi my mother's funeral stage for the line of fire with your host activist and author, international speaker and theologian Dr. Michael Brown your voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution Michael Brown is the director of the coalition of conscience and president of fire school of ministry get into the line of fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown. Well I'm getting some very interesting reactions to my article began Rabbi and my mother's funeral.

I want to talk to about that in a moment. We got a lot coming your way today for Clemente was coming with the next two hours. You may only get a few minutes in your car right now, but you can catch the entire broadcast later today at the line of fire dog org if you know every show all two hours is archived just a couple hours after the radio program.

Every day so you can listen online or you can subscribe by podcast, the line of fire.org but I want to talk about some of the appointees of Pres. elect Donald Trump One Touch about some of these responses to my article on the gay Rabbi and my mother's funeral want to talk to you bouts of a massive issue in the state of Minnesota's massive to me really bring a guest on to talk about usurpation of parental rights of a mother did not have the right to say no to her 15-year-old child transitioning to another gender.

Yet what we'll talk about that later in the second hour. I want to speak to a guest about the issue of Muslim refugees in the light of the Ohio State terrorist act yesterday in the last half hour going to speak with an author and columnist about the left's celebration of Fidel Castro. By the way, I was just looking@anotefromcampusreform.org and they were interviewing students on the college campus and asking them who they'd rather have is the leader, Donald Trump or Fidel Castro. Everyone that they interviewed said Fidel Castro and that that points to a couple of things it points to an extreme hostility towards Donald Trump which I would say is based partly on who is been and what he said but also largely on the media's portrayal of that in the media is fanning that into flame and then then on the flip side, a completely twisted view of who Fidel Castro is or what communism did there in that country and and maybe a whitewashing of the atrocities that he committed but is that a surprise on a secular campus. No I was just doing a radio interview with a woman, a conservative host in the state of Florida and she said she raised her two kids well raise into adulthood sent them off to Ivy League schools and said it was a terrible mistake. Obviously the perspectives that they were hit with their were diametrically opposed to the prospectus with which she raised them all right. So here's a question for you.

Here's a question for you I would not fall was invited to a gate quote wedding. I would not attend my attending would be a participation in a celebration of an approval of an affirmation of that couple's decision and I could not in good conscience attend.

God may send someone to wedding like that to be a witness but let him be God and have his purposes, but I could not personally do it and I counsel others the same way. And yet and yet I believe that it was God ordained that I met the rabbi that officiated my mother's funeral.

So for my sister and and her side of the family. The openly gay Rabbi that I met, I believe that was divinely ordained so so here's the question here's a question during my shoots my shoes and the cemetery says okay, the rabbi were providing is is so and so that I find that is openly gay. Would you have embrace that would you have thought it gives the light a fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown in the line of fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown walking friends to the line of fire, 86634.

Truth is the recall.

It's 866487884 so here's my question to you right we we are constantly talking about where our faith intersects with the world meeting with those who don't believe as we believe we have an issue with in the church within our fellowship of believers within our home congregation are messianic Jewish congregation or denominational church meeting whatever it is we have an in-house issue we deal with it in house right so ideally let's say you had to believers who had a dispute about adjoining properties and and they were upset with each other and they wanted to go to court. Ideally, rather than Christians taking each other. The court, especially in the early church when when this was a more massive issue with the believers being so few and the nets and so easily known. Ideally you be able to come to Valencia in the same fellowship come together and sit with some otherwise believers and say okay let's let's come up with something that is just and fair and right in and lead us then address it accordingly and let us call on both believers to submit to what's right that would be ideal and that would be a lofty way to deal with disputes.

If you're in a traditional Jewish home. That's how you deal with your community. You have your rabbinic courts affect they do their best to not let things go to the secular courts and the same would happen. I'm sure if you're a Muslim community. You have your Muslim judges in and they would they would make these decisions within the community.

But if if you are dealing with an issue now of the fact that you have a colleague who doesn't believe in Jesus doesn't believe in God and this colleague of yours is womanizer and and go get drunk on the weekends.

In this colleague says hey you want to come out for lunch with me just say that colleague no I want to go out for lunch with you because you're a sinner. I wouldn't do that. Of course you go out to lunch with the person you build a relationship with them and you share the message of the gospel with them. Jesus was a friend of sinners. Was he not and and people are the sinners often wanted to be around him and came flocking to him now. Let's say within our fellowship. There was a Muslim who was visiting and the Muslims said I'd like to come to the platform and and offer a prayer to Allah would say sorry but we don't agree with your faith and we don't agree that when you are praying to to God that you are praying to our heavenly father about.

You're welcome to be in the service. By all means right that's that's one thing if on the other hand I was going to a a Muslim wedding or a Muslim funeral. A friend invited me and I was I was there to show love and to be a witness later. Pray the prayers they pray in that context right and the question is how my going to respond to it. How my going to interact with it. So that was my whole question at the at the funeral for my mom. In other words, the rabbi was there at the request of my sister and and her son that was important to them to do it in the lives of Jewish cemeteries normally services prison presided over by rabbi. I asked my sister. Hey would you like me to to do the whole ceremony. She said I'll have a rabbi that fine because she's not a believer in Jesus perfectly fine so we were having someone who was going to believe things differently than I did, who did not believe that Jesus was the Messiah. That's, that's the biggest issue and as a reform rabbi, I would have in certain ways, less in common with him than an Orthodox rabbi because my views and that since are more Orthodox and was my view of Scripture is more conservative and fundamental than a reform rabbi's would be his would be more liberal" progressive so we have differences on lots and lots of things and I'm sure this reform rabbi would have no issue performing different interface types of services that I have a real issue with men Orthodox rabbi would have a real issue with and and it was an Orthodox rabbi, there's an excellent chance they would not have presided at the funeral because I was a participant as a Jewish believer in Jesus who is sometimes been branded public enemy number one. Yeah one Rabbi Brenda be that years ago when I been referred to that end in different ways over the years because of of the effectiveness is of of our work reaching out to Jewish people. The gospel think autumn I'm honored by the but either way, the Rabbi presiding at the funeral would be someone who rejected my messianic Jewish faith, and I in turn would say that that Rabbi needs to recognize Jesus as the Messiah. So now the only context is okay. What is my relationship with that individual and how I treat a fellow human being and see here's what often happens does matter which side wrong. Okay you can you can be a staunch liberal listening to this broadcast and and you can demonize me as a human being.

Aside from saying man and old Mike Brown. I think your views are bigoted and homophobic entrance phobic and whatever phobic you think you know and and and have this whole litany of things you can even go further than that and not recognize my my 40 or devotion to my wife or or to my kids or my grandkids or my love for my my genuine and sincere love for others, urge you to consider demonize with you and see my humanity in any way and then we on on the conservative side can can do that I wrote an article a few weeks back. Maybe couple months now. Do we have the love of Christ for Hillary Clinton Barack Obama and I was I was writing it to to Christian conservatives who consult demonize the president who could so demonize Mrs. Clinton that we would forget these are fellow human beings, for whom Jesus died, fellow human beings with many excellent and commendable qualities, but other qualities that we would say are not commendable, as in every human being and policies the stances that we would absolutely differ with. So to me and to the rabbi. This was an opportunity to demonstrate respect for other human beings in the midst of profound differences at one of the most personal, intimate settings that you can imagine.

Namely, a small gravesite fear with about 10 people there by the gravesite. So I've been interested to see responses and there there pretty much falling into the categories that I expected at this most in a couple minutes on this and other chain subjects, but here's what I expect.

I expected some to say to me you're getting soft. Some a post on Facebook and I read all the comments you know you, you've lost the fear of the Lord.

Something like this is an abomination. You lost the fear of the Lord. I expected that I fully expected that end, it is disturbing that someone has a perspective I think you're missing the point.

But I understand were the comic then on the exact opposite side and I saw a comments. I think I'm on charisma news in response to the article.

If you haven't read it.

Still a lot of fire.org. You see if there's a lead article I saw another response from someone saying oh you think this one act of kindness or this one act of civility undoes your career. Preoccupation with homosexual issues. Of course in 45 years serving the Lord this was that MMI radar the first 30+ years in my first 19 books if you will, if you will look at everything I wrote have you with homosexuality: the first 19 books it would for one whole page is not on my radar is only 2004 God began to bird beat reach out to resist, reach out to the people with compassion resist agenda with courage, recognizing that this issue would become the principal threat to freedom of religion, speech and conscience in America as it has become yeah but I fully expected that to all that her new living every but none of my point was to say yes I have this deep opposition but it's difficult personal never been personal and this was this was another illustration and can I tell you one night when I told my wife and my family and a couple of colleagues that you believe this, the Rabbi officiating at the at the ceremony is regular listening to my broadcast and openly gay. No one respondent with what you it was it was actually with us. Smiles of amazement are you serious and they knew opportunity to build a relationship and to reach out and I I fully expected to be received as well as by the rebel fully expected that in that sense I didn't disappoint him. He didn't disappoint me and then the other responses are people reading the article tears people reading the article and saying thank you for that for the demonstration. Again, this is not it demonstration. This is this is who I am and how I've always lived. Imagine who the rabbi is and how he's lived in a single rehab profound that we have deep, deep, deep, profound differences religious moral culture, deep, deep differences and recognize her calling to love our neighbors are self at the same time. At the same time. The line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution.

Here again is Dr. Michael Brown. Thanks much for joining us on the line of fire. This is Michael Brown my delight to be with you how you think President-elect Tromp is doing with his cabinet appointees so far. Some more announcements today. One of them being Tom Price, who has been a staunch opponent of the affordable care act also known as Obama care a medical doctor and a congressman and basically from what I can see Donald Trump is appointing cabinet members once he is appointed thus far in keeping with his promises.

Fox News Adam Shaw trumps pick for HHS health and human services could be the key to dismantling Obama care.

Also, he's a former orthopedic surgeon.

One of a number of physicians was worked for the Republican Party alternative to the affordable care act to be cleansed by Democrats that the GOP is no realistic plan to replace the law so the goal is not to take insurance away from those that have not received it under so-called Obama care.

The goal is to provide something better because physicians have told me of all kinds of problems that they've had companies have had to cut hours of employees because they couldn't afford things that they were required to afford of providing them with health concern of hurting the employees. I know folks because they didn't have insurance got find so they they chose not to have medical shirts. They got find for others had premiums go way up. I'm actually no expert on this but the goal is not to remove it and leave it remove the goal is to repeal and replace it with something better that regard. Tom Price seems to be the ideal candidate entry I was doing earlier today, the host said that she was watching secular news. I think she's watching CNN and she said that people were reacting its price and is there to be at indirect have abortions.

It won't let me just say that, in keeping with the strong pro-life platform of the Republican Party and the anti-affordable care act apply for the Republican Party with Donald Trump's doing. Thus far is in harmony with that I feel very good about his cabinet appointees of four Fort the Department of Education. The, the woman appointed there, a strong advocate of of the charter schools and and then school vouchers.

Now the question is what happens to public schools who lose funding that the public schools need overall.

There are so many sacrificing and working hard teachers, administrators doing their best with limited funds are thinking of your school vouchers and now in the way that would work.

Let's say have to pay a certain amount of tax every year that goes to the public schools but I'm sending my kids to out to private school.

Then that money doesn't go that I got paid twice a better pay for the private school and for the public school right so in this case you get a voucher and instead you get credit to pay for your kid to go to private school or charter school or something like that and in in light of that, it's going to help these parents and families dramatically. Both can happen to the public schools and their funding. That's the big question, but there needs to be an overhaul again. There are so many working sacrificially for the education of our children in the public school system. We've got to look holistically at whatever we look at but that's another point.

It was interesting, as are several women already and from my from my take Donald Trump is not untypical for a worldly businessman and that's what he's been up to this point of his life, namely he can look at women as sex objects. Some women and he can look at other women as peers worthy of respect and and that's why all the women working with him said he's never ever made an off-color comment to them or spoken to them in a demeaning way as women or anything like that. There's been nothing misogynistic and yet what he was know that the guy that owned the Miss America pageant for years write his name on it you know it and we knows comments from the past that he didn't yes at the seams exchange with them now and hopefully is growing out of those Vista can still change unit run seven years old and still change but all that being said, it's interesting that he's appointing a number of women and and that he has an end.

Some of the people your cabinet or staff are not why either Hispanic or black. That's of interest. That's of interest. So let's see if you can hold true. This commitment to to to lead based on Republican peasant party platform while at the same time proving that he is a president of all the people I immediately grab a phone call of the Scolari and Frederick Maryland.

Welcome to the line of fire. They want to say thank left; you I had my seven-year-old grandson with me you requested about big guy. I remember somehow you snuck past her call screener because normally it's a couple weeks before someone can come by, recognize your voice but yeah I remember your boiler go ahead sir. I appreciate what you're saying today would you say I know you play games because that's not who you are. I could talk radio broadcast for so long. I've got a book or books, but I appreciate what you said. It just reminds me not to get mean-spirited at times. The research that I was certain subject like abortion law, you know it's it's not the right way to go about electronegative frantically inherent mean-spirited yet. Hey listen I appreciate the key thing Larry if we cannot put on an act of love. That's the bottom line it's not going to fool anybody. It's not gonna bring long-term fruit has to be who we are. So what I often say is if if you cut me on the bleed.

Love and that's the way it should be for any of us right if if if someone if if someone is genuinely burdened for my well-being. Okay. Look there at their counter missionary rabbis that I know that absolutely stand against what I do, that they write it against the they put on videos against me. I know they love me as a Jew I I know it. I know they love me as a fellow Jew, and they do with a duet of love for me is that you and I believe they know that's what motivates me as well. I certainly hope so. So I have no problem whistling staunchly opposed to what I believe and value and in yet that person can genuinely love me and care about. We do it all the time with family members and that's God's love for this world that is God's love for this world that he doesn't affirm us in our sin, he transforms us out of our sin. As I say Jesus practiced transformational inclusion not affirmation will inclusion white friends now is a great time to stand with us. In fact, later this week on the share something with you of tremendous excitement of tremendous open-door God is set before us.

I can't wait to share more with you, but I leave for India on Friday.

If you could help us with that trip.

We have thousands of dollars of these associated with it if you could help us with it. Go to the line of fire right now. The line of fire, double-click on the only your year-end gift is tax deductible. Jesus is Lord we go forward in his name without flinching. It's the line of fire with your host activist, author, international speaker and theologian Dr. Michael Brown voice of more cultural and spiritual revolution get into the line of fire now by calling 86643 here again is Dr. Michael Brown walking friends to the line of fire, 866487884 when we talk about issues happening in our society. Moral cultural issues.

Many times people respond as if they're just abstract. Why should I care or how does this affect me, but but then situations arise where these things touch our families directly. For example, the administration's active push to inflict penalties on schools that would not welcome a 15-year-old boy who identifies as a girl, welcome him into the girls locker room shower room bathroom welcome him onto the girl sports team if he identifies as a girl that schools should be penalized for this. This is this is created a pushback and and I've had callers calling the show and see Dr. Brown what'll I do my ninth grade son came home from high school today and without notification of the parents there. There was a situation where they had a school assembly and they had all these different speakers timeout why Gay was okay and and you could be a Mormon, you could be a Christian, you could be doing. It doesn't matter, and homosexuality is fine. All these different face and she said my sons always learn to be loving towards everyone, but we teach what the Bible says and and he comes home and and here's assembly role this is being presented without even parental notification how I respond. What if it goes further than that. One of the intrusion of parental rights goes even further. I want welcome to the broadcast Eric Cordell who is a lawyer and who is going to explain to us something happening in the state of Minnesota right now that that should cause every parent in America to to stop and listen. Eric welcome to the line of fire. Thanks so much for joining us record our gravity. How could you just briefly sketch what's happened with this family with this mother. Specifically, in the state of Minnesota. Regarding to serve the legal issues I can just quickly describe what happened to her current fun mood and look at the Kura ex-president was very congenial and the son moved out the father's house and got benefits from the county office carport apartment food for the medical insurance and so forth and I got into a situation where he is getting transgendered medical services, and the mother led to a custody she could get any information about these are medical services been provided to gain information from school district she could get information from the county office providing the benefits just completely cut out without parental notification opportunity heard and so basically governmental agencies are medical service providers creator is emancipated without the court process and without court order. Now how oldest son.

The cost earlier clerk 16 and around 70 okay so he's still a minor. So minor and the point is that even after these agencies have created the child at a map. In other words, no information of the current know their decision-making involvement from the parent.

She still didn't have a core process in Minnesota to get any of her rights back extraordinary" of the federal due process clause claim basically under the U.S. Constitution. Parental rights are fundamental rights that can't be taken without due process of law, three areas of marital dissolution of paternity and child protection.

We have paragraphs upon paragraphs in Minnesota statutes protecting the parent that knows not to be heard before the rights are terminated by Minnesota emancipation is nothing in any asymmetry in, but if the child has actually before the courageous diseases emancipated that petition the court for say as a core emancipation that there is a notice not heard sites that they would stop right there when you come out I want to make sure you understand what's happened within a sift through this error on the line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown voice of more cultural and spiritual revolution. Here again is Dr. Michael Brown, welcome back friends to the line far, 866-348-7884 and speaking with Eric Cordell and attorney who's involved with this case. In Minnesota, so, so Eric went when you talk about what the state has provided for this young man.

16 now. 17. How far has it gone from him seeking to transition into a woman. What's actually been provided for him while the parent received no information other than the child without one page letter in the court process to change his name and the irony of ironies, the court will allow him to change his name because you didn't get a court order, emancipation, threat, and government agencies are getting all the benefits but the court is what you can't change your name until you have a core emancipation anyway.

So the VM.

I want page letter says that he is receiving the hormonal therapies part, transgender and extraordinary right so what would it mean for someone to be emancipated for what what's how does that happen well with the cut to the quick degree analysis would be through. Why would matter to your audience yet is it safe to minimum wages per emancipation. So Minnesota for example is 18 Elsworth different ages that there are sometimes strategies like in Minnesota where they make serve exceptions to the rule like here in Minnesota with an exception for medical services, even nonemergency medical services, so the medical service provider can determine the weather because emancipated and then there their consent is effective for medical treatment. Now with the County providing the insurance benefit. All the medical service provider cares about whether any.

And so there you are, the 18 year old and a measurement station without 1/4.

Anyone can be a master lease for medical services noticeable the certificate emancipated. When I feel there emancipated in the county's treatment for benefits that their methods are basically a bit you eviscerated the minimum age for emancipation UCLA a concert without changing the law yeah yeah so so you government you will find 18 years you're emancipated to whatever the government agencies determine your emancipator meds. So let's ditch assistance for moments you have in schools where a kid can young lady. Maybe she's 14 years old.

She gets pregnant that with the help of the school.

She can get to a local abortion clinic have have her her her baby terminated in the womb of the pregnancy terminated and the parents not even be informed of this this this actually happens, whereas if the child needed aspirin say something like that the child would couldn't get that without parental approval. Here you have a child slipping through the legal requirements here, to the point that they are getting state-funded hormonal treatment to to become a woman. This is this is a minus. The kids got a whole life and finally could change views a thousand times ahead and and the mother is at actually being blocked from from having input.

What is she doing and what's your response to all of this treat Arctic three attorneys before me and I was shocked when the attorneys told my client that they couldn't do anything for him and I did my research and I concluded the attorneys right that there's no state court process.

Prior to this administrative emancipation or after the administrative emancipation she could do nothing in state court state statute that the relying on provides no process for the parrot that you fight back answer which is not as well federal lawsuit designed with the violation of federal due process clause of the clause protects parental rights and just just a thought have anything on this and all people even read their cordial relationship with these completely supportive of you to stop playing because he does want to be that bald.so Suzies he's not.

Neither parent has been behind the sun doing this and saying he let us help you. Let us accommodate you so that he's doing it entirely on his own right in and out. We were very directly opposed to him making decision alone and I know that they don't want to do it paramedic exactly 18 but be surprised if most of the number of teenagers who called us saying that they gone down this road and make great change their mind and it's been barrier areas are indicative of the kind, the comments were getting back the tears go down this road of sex change member known that's not right thing for me and so it through think that is a big nonemergency elective procedure you want parents of Alden and we shouldn't be afraid of courts involved.

After all, the marital dissolution attorney context of child protection, context, judges are accustomed to looking up the best interest of the children and I don't get this right Dr. that in a minor petition for emancipation. The judge can make the emancipation conditional partial or temporary so it's not the carte blanche. The judge to make the right call slices with the just back up to something that you said a moment ago that since this case has gone public that that's honestly how we found out about it news on the Internet that your you're getting calls from teenagers who said hey hey's.

This is important, people need to hear this. We we started to go through sex change treatments or however far they went and realized we made a mistake. There's a famous case in England of of a young man that became a woman as much as you can and it was celebrated in the house, I made a mistake I should've done this. It was it was the wrong thing, and especially with with younger children what's been demonstrated scientifically from everything I understand is if you just don't play into their their transgender notions their gender identity confusion. About 80% of them once they go through puberty will no longer identify as the opposite sex. They may be gay are so adept that they will know what identifies the opposite sex. And there's a whole website sex change regret.com that want higher put up where he has thousands of people contacting him or points to studies with thousands and other countries where people say we we went through sex change full-blown sex change surgery and it was a terrible mistake so we see your hearing from teenagers as it is one or two. Is it five or 10 can you quantify it more.

More than a few different kind of contract email incredible support in a greatly offered help and and we we appreciated that they woke about five director of litigation because the due process claim, but those are resources out there and let her know about them and I think that it just shows that when you have major elective surgery nonemergency having parents of all the courts involved are a good thing this is really important fact the funding you're talking about is a very expensive treatments, young and even to avoid government funding of that unnecessary treatment would justify the whole yeah and and again when you think of decisions that are being made to put a kid that's 89 years old on hormone blockers to stop the onset of puberty and then to give the sex change surgery as soon as they're ready, maybe 17, 18 years old or something like that in some cases, what else would we do for child that young that was that irreversible. That and let them make the primary decision in it.

I mean it. It's extraordinary when you think of of the kids, not old enough to drink kids not old enough to vote in certain cases, kids not old enough to get behind the wheel of a car and get the kid is going to make these life decisions and you have situations like in Canada. 12-year-old had their passports changed us simply based on based on their of their own identification they had their their passports change. This is purely saying this now, I feel so it is remarkable and and you know how long the state has been funding things like this are over 10 years and then the statute was enacted. Were talking about the one that allows for the medical service providers determine whether the child emancipated was enacted in 1971 and in their effort to repeal it in 2006, four, and the house about three pills out. The reasons given for the set.

I don't think were completed for him and I think they were arguing. Basically, the people close repeal that this was somehow a public health issue and and I think they miss minutes a parental issue and that the parents never stand in the way of a child health right and the court review is a good thing not a bad thing when it comes to contested matters. One of the regulatory doctors but when I saw this I was so surprised that others will love might be operating in Minnesota that we hired an expert witness before he filed the case of medical doctors 70s very experienced topless field values written a lot of issues and we couldn't talk until he told her know Eric visibly works the medical community is complete agreement. Minnesota child presents himself as emancipated and can afford to pay for the treatment decisions made at the front and we provide the treatment and I basically look at it and the kids on the government insurance is the case history and no one says wishes with your mother, your father Bryce is incredibly nice couple questions for you friends with. This is your kid what if this is your kid a break that her plan and gets the line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown, the line of fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown. Looking back, friends, the line of fire. This interview is a reminder as to why we've taken the stance we've taken over the years and why we address the issues that we've addressed over the years. These are real family issues, not just abstract cultural debates by guest Eric Cardell attorney in Minnesota.

Eric if you could just repeat to my listeners what you said right before the break, something that really shocked you and friends. If you just turn again. We talk about a case of a boy 16.

Initially, now 17 is not living with either parent and although he was not legally emancipated as a child in the state of Minnesota. He has gotten state funding without parental permission input or even knowledge to be on hormone treatments to transition from male to female Eric EEE sits in a very startling about a kid going into a doctor's office or they want. They want treatments for for their gender identity confusion. One hormonal treatment, or they wanted from start to move toward sex change surgery. Maybe the kid 16 years old and going to the doctor's office and there there simply listed that there they recognize insurance provider. Do they need to have a parent approving or saying okay. We give our blessing on this were signing office as a as is apparent on this treatment after American statutes.

They suggested that the medical service provider may be vision of the Charles emancipated your regular clinic and on the pleasers provided beta saga.

Charles emancipated and I couldn't believe it. So I hired an expert in the field. A doctor over 74 prayer very honorable Dr. very well respected. They said no. Eric let that that's out works the medical service the community and Minnesota is United the way we interpret the statute is if the child can show a way to pay for it.

Basically, independent of parents through a government-funded insurance than their creators emancipated without any information the parents without any requirement for consent extraordinary. So when is the case, stand right now and and what can listeners do other than pray for justice, but I think that there is really important to follow cases like this is really important.

It's probably US District Court district of Minnesota, and I think the other thing is to look for Eric to hear about several people in similar situations down contact me and will help them to what we know this is happening all over the place, Minnesota and weekly without happening elsewhere, and so the child protection ligament of the group. The Protestant gets my attention can also be contacted that there are far from phone number 612-341-1074.

Okay, let's just get that out once more.

612-341-1074 and if anyone's in the situation where you have a minor child is not emancipated but is getting discount nonemergency medical treatment and we gotta stop that and the way to do that is to file a federal lawsuit because the statutes aren't written away. Perfect parental rights and what you are hearing in other parts of the country.

How how widespread is this similar situations similar laws in other states having contacted by large nonprofit firms across the nation that were really looking up at the 50 State Nationwide Way. We really need to make sure that you are our family values are parental values are honored their already honored in the law. So when are honored in the state statutes the state constitutions. We need to make sure their audit practice statutes needed to fix the question you do that to but working at the current acrostic as we can afford to have this indirect work way of reducing the emancipation agent and alternate arbitrary ad hoc way yeah absolutely well on God's blessings on your efforts and on on the family has has the mom doing through all this allows you to choose very strong as you knew that you take a lot of criticism which decide to do this. She relies on her birthday. She's an evangelical Christian and I been very impressed about drive-by self inspired Tiger commitment to the case and I think all of us can recommit the same things you community about the good of our children as we did that she be happy and type of criticism that she's getting obviously there is a point where the child's on their own.

Yet the gets a certain age and obviously a loving parent.

Did your best to do what's best for your child in and give input accordingly and make decisions accordingly. But is she being criticized for overreach or how dare you do this or are simply that anyone is confuse like this. It's always the right thing to do to get the hormone treatments, etc. character growth interest or rebellion against parental authority is reasonable statutes regularly are yeah capital to allow the medical service provider department child emancipated and most people want to get rid of the emancipation agent so all children are in emancipated 13 or 14 or younger that their post was in there a lot of people who don't feel that parents should have been influenced to make decisions for the children of John 12 1314 and I really think about is that raw yeah Diane and I find I do think this extraordinary viewpoint of parental rights. I mean that the time to look at these emancipation statutes because you may be operating thinking your child can go to the doctor get treatment without your approval and I do you get that the bill subject will be about two employees that most of us never even heard about the idea emancipation issue or statute or clause so it's it's news evening.

No, just on a lighter note, but serious when our daughters were teenagers there now 39 ohms 38 when they were teenagers. They they objected to all the rules of the household that it like that. We did this the way we do that sister tell you what growth I want you to write out what you would do as parents with the rules would be how you run the house etc. and I want you to hold onto them until you have kids of your own. So we we've had many a laugh there.

Their kids range from 10 to almost 16 or two kids each and yet they said I had no rules, no restrictions, no curfew notice of that so we laugh about it but that's that's the reason that parents are parents in a given responsibilities imperfect, yes, but a whole lot more wisdom and experience that a 10-year-old or 12-year-old or a 16-year-old hey, keep up the great work Erica.

I know it can be taxing and wearing to do this, but you're on the right side. Thank you so much better, thank you God bless our right friends important story. I'm so glad we got to bring Ricardo want to discuss that with us. Remember all this week. I keep forgetting to announce it.

It's always a line of fire.org stand with us as we are on the front lines standing for you. My bottom line. Today, parents, moms, dads, wake up with the real soft your kids from the Ohio State act of terror to the question of Muslim refugees to the death of a dictator got a call today on the line of fire. It's time for the line of fire with your host activist and author, international speaker and theologian Dr. Michael Brown your voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution Michael Brown is the director of the coalition of conscience and president of fire school of ministry get into the line of fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH.

That's 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown thank you for joining us on the broadcast today in a few minutes I'm going to bring on a journalist author who has a new book stealth Islamic invasion sweeping US is called stealth invasion and its it claims that that there is a Muslim conquest through immigration and resettlement G hot we'll talk about that in a moment, but yesterday the attack at Ohio State University massive University the campus, there is massive and tens of thousands of students. What I have maybe 50,000 students, their massive campus and a Muslim student comes on the campus drives his car into people gets out start stabbing people with a butchers knife is quickly shot and killed by a policeman who was on the spot otherwise many more people could have been injured or even killed. And what's all the more tragic about this is that this young man 18 years old semi third-year student, so he must've gotten very young Somali was interviewed in a local paper just a few months ago. Explain coming on campus in and near the prayer room's disease Muslim at a pray five times a day and we were the prayer room. She wasn't really sure did he just pray where he was and he decided to just do that, but he was concerned about Islamic phobia. He was concerned about the way the American public viewed Muslims as terrorists and he did want them to have that reputation just three months ago and now he engages in an act of terror and according to some right wrist reports he was influenced by every disciple of a radical Islamic cleric from America but living in Yemen when America killed him by drone attack of the same cleric who had greatly influenced the Fort Hood jihadist and here you have someone saying he was concerned about the way Muslims looked in America. He was concerned about the Islam is llama phobia in all Muslims are terrorists and things like that and then he goes out and commits this terrorist act. So the question is the question is, how should we view other Muslim refugees.

There's no question that there Muslim refugees here in America from America has been a godsend who America has meant a new life and they are glad to be American and they want to be American citizens and they absolutely repudiate terrorism and radical Islam and I would say.

The great bulk of these people or are not those who are praying five times a day and religious as this Somali refugee was so there and there are those fleeing terror in different parts of the world viewed Somalia. Syria and they are looking for refuge and they do not have a desire to take over or to engage in court. Resettlement G hot but here's the question. And here's the difficult question if I sent you.

There's a fabulous buffet in our city.

It is the greatest selection of food you've ever seen, and an unbelievable price but out of the hundred or so items there every day one or two of them are infected with deadly poison. You just don't know which.

And there's no way of knowing which would you let us say obviously not to risk your life for a nice meal. So that's the question even if it's one or 2% of refugees coming in love murderous intent. How we handle and how to deal with her own. What is the percent subsidy question now for candidate of Pres. Donald prison like Donald Trump will be right back with Leo Holman to talk about his book stealth invasion file.

The line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown get into the minor fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown shortly or Ohio State University attack yesterday by Abdul Roz arc of the art time from Somalia. He posted on on Facebook comment saying we will not let you sleep unless you give peace to the Muslims and then he went on his attack attempted murderous attack. Thankfully no one killed the one critically injured and of course he paid with his own life. He said I can't take it anymore. America stop interfering with other countries, especially the Muslim Aumont that will be in the world community.

We are not weak. We are not weak. Remember that he mentioned a recent trend of lone wolf attacks carried out by soul Islamic terrorists if you want us Muslims to stop carrying out lone wolf attacks then make peace again. We will not let you sleep unless you give peace to the Muslims. The post also mentions more all a lucky American born Al Qaeda cleric who was killed in 2011 in Yemen.

He mentions him as a hero. My gastronomy down the line of fire. Leo Holman, longtime journalist who has written the book stealth invasion and it speaks of Muslim conquest through immigration and resettlement G hot we'll welcome to the line of fire. Thanks for having me Dr. Brown up before we get into that the contents of this book. Folks will always want to know well what what prompted you to write this book and and what your qualifications in writing it.

So how have you been focused on this particular subject that good question. I started as a reporter and editor with WND have been a reporter and editor at band for about 28 years and I covered my share of immigration story, but I had never really focused on the angle of Islamic immigration until I started with WND about 2 1/2 years ago.

Dr. Brown and since that time I've ever really zero Dan with sort of a razor-sharp advantage on this particular angle of okay how many are we bringing in how long have we been doing. That's where they coming from and under and and how are they doing as far as assimilating into our culture once they get here I and in what what are your basic findings when they obviously Muslim refugees coming from many many different countries seal you have to separate some of this unless all the data is the same but what, what's the reality the refugees are coming here. How are they doing become assimilated. What's their attitude. This first being Americans and Israeli strategy going on among them.

A lot of them come here from you know dirt poor, destitute situations and places like Mali, Afghanistan. More recently theory, which is better than do a lot.

Sudan just really Third World condition and so they come here and you know from the not only very poor conditions but Shari a compliant nation where the they don't know anything about freedom of speech or freedom of religion, things that are now ingrained in our U.S. Constitution and our US government doesn't require of them and any any sort of allegiance to the sort of bedrock American value there not tested or asked about you know what are your views with regard to Shari, a law they're just so called welcome here is that you know refugees the whole work refugee.

It conjures up images of you know, people fleeing wars and famine and and horrible conditions like that, but you know takes Molly (we've been taking in refugees from their my gosh the late 80s early 90s and it's up to hundred and 32,000 that we brought in from that country alone.

Over the years with absolutely no requirement that they assimilated into our culture. A lot of them come here decent people but quite frankly, they get quote unquote radicalized once they get here and in our American mom are so let's let's think this through. Someone comes over. They do want to come to the states they want to get citizenship.

We had a gentleman that was a graduate of our ministry school. He was a businessman in, in his home country in Scandinavia.

He he came over here and went through our school. He and his wife were brilliant there.

In fact based. The co-valedictorians when they when they graduated with your perfect scores and then he came on staff at our school, got a Masters degree at another seminary and was pretty much the business manager overseeing the school and he was unable with all of our best efforts and is hiring an immigration attorney. He was unable to get citizenship your have you ever watch this over period of years if I will throw up our hands a center-right psycho work. What can we say that your telling me that some commode could come over from Somalia or Syria.

Theoretically, your some other Islamic country, and they basically just get a free pass me what what process do we go through in place immediately, are given a very and women one year there giving a green card which gives them permanent resident that and that puts them on a fast-track torque full citizenship within five years, and that's pretty much the profits that they go through but it's all laid out before them and you know and as soon as they get here that as long as they don't violate any law, there can I get the green card quite quickly and felt that if they're on their best behavior for that first year there given a green card which I which as we know, give that the very coveted the document because it gives you permanent resident status that you can't vote you don't have full citizenship, but the very next step before that that is the track that there put on yeah and and I don't know you know at the point that they are giving giving them citizenship, which I think is available in five years. I'd I can't prove that there being put to any last of a requirement than your Scandinavian friend.

All I can say is you know because I don't know individual circumstances, but all I can say is that that these people are becoming citizens and math because we've had. I spent 132,000. That was just from Molly at we've had well over a million from the Islamic world, and through this program so you know. And now there and most of them are.

We have 3.3 million Muslims in America now and they're not only coming as refugees, but asylum-seekers on other parts of the obviously we want to be compassionate and we want to within reason within our ability to help open our doors to those who are genuinely needy and want to take refuge in our shores and become part of our nation but again when you have this wide open door that we currently have.

We have this minimal vetting and then we have almost no current vetting of some of these radical mosques affect the department just a step back for so radically that that word 70 with Islam is removed from the books and it just really paralyzes law enforcement officials or people do try that such a surveillance to Intel and things like that so before we get to that the heart of your book. The word stealth evasion let me play that the advocate of the Muslim refugees from moment and said okay hundred 32,000 semi refugees.

This is the first instance we had you got crackpots everywhere. How in the world can we even think that this is an indictment about other Muslims in America. Well first of all I would tell your friend that this is not the first incident that we had. As recently as two months ago we had a Molly refugee go off at the Crossroads Mall in St. Cloud, Minnesota 10 people. Several of them critically on that same day we had.

September 17 this year.

Two months ago. Same day we had a refugee from I believe it was Afghanistan that pipe bombs in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan.

29 people injured. We have had the Chattanooga shooter who came here as a six-year-old bottom speaker.

He killed five US servicemen unarmed in cold blood.

We had a another case that at the Boston Marathon. As you recall, in 2013 were two brothers the fire and I have brothers came here and asylum-seekers from Dagestan killed three people wounded 300 or more. You want to continue. Yeah point point well made Leland, and that's that that's again we need to be looking at when you have a problem this pervasive you have to address it holistically. You can't simply address it on an individual level.

So here are the questions we come back again. The book by Leo Homan HOH MA and and stealth invasion out want to lay out what he believes is happening intentionally and what we can do about it so we will be right back. Morgan continue with Leo on the other side of the break over by the Expo line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown your voice and more cultural and spiritual revolution. Here again is Dr. Michael Brown thanks for joining us on a lot of farms with Leo Homan. His book stealth invasion. Leo, what are you saying is actually happening.

Stealth invasion is talking about something systematic something planned. Something orchestrated, as you call it a resettlement G hard. What do you believe is actually happening. I believe that that's a great question and I believe what is happening. Dr. Brown with laid out in the document of the Muslim brotherhood in the late 1980, called the explanatory memorandum for the brothers for a strategic plan in North America and in that document.

Mr. Mohammed Akron wrote in 1987 and was published a few years later it lays out a strategic plan that if you look at what he right and then look at what has been happening over the last 35 years spent. That document was written. It almost it did. Scary how closely they line up because he talks about establishing Islam and giving it a foothold in the United State both spiritually and physically and politically.

And it in our educational system and planting Islam and settlement and into the psyche of the American fabric and weave what are we saying over the last years with common core and if mom and giving favorable treatment in our public schools as opposed to bother edging out everything Christian. They have been bringing in more and more deeper studies about Islam and Mohammed and not even getting truthful.

You know discourse on that whole topic of Mohammed in the history of Islam and and weave being the growth of the mom taught me out there. The mosque is the foothold of Islam in any community, and when we see the migrants come in and out 5 to 10,000 a year just from Molly at 10 to 20,000 now coming from. You know, Afghanistan 5000, and a gear you know this up to the million mark now and growing and and every time you see them brought into a certain community venue mosque built the mosque growth started in a storefront and then build bigger and and and become more influential in that community and it whenever there is any sort of controversy at a public goal or whatever. Then build the baton out and meet people you know, to their credit, take their faith there. Like, and I wish more Christians would do the bank but we feel this document from the Muslim brotherhood that with by the way, captured by the FBI in the 2004 rate and preventative evidence in a trial down in Texas at 2007, the holy land foundation trial in which the foundation we found out with funneling money and aid to Hamas in two kill Israeli conduct, the mischief that they do their and it and we've just been the in the document prophetic announcement sort of comfort over the years and that is the bottom line you asked and I'm going to value if the Islamization of America and so that it is what's happening and if you're fine with that as an American, then I don't have an argument with you if you feel like we have values Judeo-Christian value that are worth defending and work upholding them, you know, we could debate that, but I do want to be upfront about it. This is what the book is about the culture clash and at the spiritual clash in the bill. We as followers of Jesus want to share the good news of the Messiah with the whole world and their missions. Organizations that strategize and it individual missionaries that strategize or how can we get into this country. How can we bring the message there and then they'll think okay we care about the people. If we can feed the hungry. If we can serve schools to help educate then we can show them our love and then through that preach the gospel with words and with deeds so our intentions are good, it set about taking over.

It's not about it's not about the top down assignment using fonts, but we have our strategy will Islam has it strategy and in different Islamic groups, but they have their strategies. It's it's not a coincidence that you have a Muslim mayor of London you know that these things don't just happen out of the blue or or mosques. In summary, strategic places in different parts of the world and Moses will spread their faith, but there is a certain element of Islam that in spreading its face once discredit violently and that they have historical examples for it, and Islam means taking over Islam means submission site that's that's the issue. The gospel is going seek to win people to the Lord and influence them in and infiltrate culture in that way. Islam, when it has enough of the foothold will now establish laws for its own community and will go further and establish laws for the rest of the country that would be the goal because Islam is a legal religion, so we just got a couple of minutes. Odyssey folks have to read the book stealth invasion from orbit in a nutshell, what would you like the president, incoming president and the administration to do. I think the President-elect nailed it when that we need a you think we need a temporary halt of all Islamic immigration until we can figure out what the heck is going on and then you know when he said that he came under the wrath of the media and Muslim group and all of them folk who said no you can't do that. That that's horrible. You must be a rate and he did back off and that okay will will will do something call extreme vetting and well extreme vetting, while an improvement will not be the answer because we cannot that people like Ma, and Abdul Aziz with the Chattanooga shooter who came here the eighth of and grew up into her with educated our fine American American gold who graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with an engineering degree with one of the most popular kids in high school with a fine of them alighted a Muslim American. By all accounts in Philly one day decided that something was lacking in his life and he started reading the Koran more religiously started going to Ma parents noticed he started growing out of the beard, and he started saying a lot of radical thing and then one day he pulled up to a recruitment center of the U.S. Navy and started shooting unarmed people and this is impossible to vet again, you cannot prevent against future devotion to Islam. It's just impossible. So this is what we're stuck with even President-elect tropical thing to have a good feel for this issue is back off a little bit of theirs to think two ways we need to approach this one is on the political level, we need to call and write our Congressman Gil Congress is bonded all this all these years and ask them to give us a temporary halt on Islamic immigration until we can figure out the best course forward that the political strength we need more openness as well. The refugee resettlement program is very secretive. Planting these people in our communities telling us about it within the seer level indicated just as his voice and that that is a matter of building relationships and reaching out best news far better than anything Mohammed things the home.

In the book stealth invasion. Thank you sir for joining us it's the line of fire with your host activist, author, international speaker and theologian Dr. Michael Brown voice of more cultural and spiritual revolution get into the line of fire now by calling 86634 through here again is Dr. Michael Brown. You know it's it's fascinating and distressing to observe the responses to the death of Cuban dictator communist dictator Fidel Castro with some like Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau strongly left leaning praising Castro and drawing all types of sarcastic responses on Twitter Trudeau eulogies mocking his response from college students say they would choose Castro over Trump to others like Sen. Ted Cruz his own family members were victims of Castro's violence. Others talking about who he really was and what he really did in a moment I want to bring on the fellow stream writer and stream editor Johnson Eric to talk about the left's whitewashing of Fidel Castro.

I will do that in a moment but first my latest article on the stream is called my mother's funeral and the gay rabbi out of the gay rabbi and my mother's funeral sees me in that order and I talk about the fact that the rabbi that officiated my mother's funeral service last week. This was at the request of Mike my sister. One of the rabbi present fully understood and for her and for her son would be there and we notify the cemetery.

After the funeral parlor notifies the cemetery. The cemetery said okay here's the rabbi there. Some of that they work with is not a matter of your 30 people to pick from, and turns out to my delightful surprise that the rabbi's regular listener to the broadcast, and there also is my great surprise is openly gay and I thought this seems like a divine appointment. This seems like yet another illustration of the fact that we live in this world we we live side-by-side with neighbors was friends with coworkers with family members who have different beliefs who hold different moral standards who have radically different views on God and politics and culture in life and family, and the question is how do we live side-by-side as neighbors in the missus. I thought what a perfect opportunity in my great desire for the rabbis that he comes to know Jesus as the Messiah, and I imagine his one of his great desires for me would be that I would change my views on homosexuality and gay relations and things like that so I wrote an article about it and it's it's getting lots of responses.

It's on number of different websites and will be posted on social media people respond there so I'm I asked Dr. Brown Facebook page. We have dozens and dozens of comments there and haven't looked at all of them but some saying wonderful expression of love. And this is what we should do as followers of Jesus, of the Savior, compromiser and you sent a mixed message. Others saying oh so this one active of civility in an kindest mutual respect undoes your homophobic history so I would say responses are as expected, but for those who are surprised by my actions. I would say you have been listening to me this is never been personal and anyone's every Tuesday being pulled homophobic, the wrong it's their interpretation of their projection is not to do with a fear of some irrational hatred or has to do with believing that God ordained things in certain ways in the worst that his his plan for human beings is male and female coming together and lifelong committed relationship, called marriage and having children, raising children, that's his plan and that to deviate from that plan to change that.

The definition of marriage to make no-fault divorce that we have now is destructive to redefine it to say that you can have multiple partners or to seek and switch the gender of the partner. Those are issues that are fundamentally opposed. But I do it with great love for those I differ with and he was a great opportunity to live that out. So read the article surrender stream.ward check out the article and then way and accordingly take it to heart.

Think it through weigh-in with your comments will be right back. Johnson, Eric the line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown get into the line of fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown was, as many of you know I write articles 3, four, five different articles a week. There'll posted on or websites on a fire.org but the place we'll find the greatest majorities articles are all different websites. MRI often right exclusive articles is the stream stream.org founded by James Robison. It's a great place to go to keep up with the news that there above all, to get a Christian perspective on the news you find it, you'll find it tremendously tremendously helpful and Charles Barak is one of the editors and main writers at the stream and he has a new article why intellectuals adore tyrants like Castro over trying to get him on the air right now. But while we are looking for him. Let me just share some of what John has written and again it's it's striking to see how someone who executed people by firing squads and who who imprisoned dissenters and who drove his country down in so many destructive ways can be haled and praised as this noble freedom fighter so John Rice, my best friend the high schools will Cuban exile who later went on to become a Catholic priest when I complained that one of our teachers was a tyrant will have to be ruefully you have no idea what that word means. He lived in a chair and he knew it was like his father and grandfather had both supported Castro against the corrupt usurper. Batista then turned against the regime when it betrayed all its liberal promises and turned a once prosperous island into a rusting starving outpost of the dismal Soviet bloc.

Both those men were sent to prison camps were they were tortured periodically during their multiyear sentences. My father never wanted to take off his shirt front of me so I wouldn't see all the scars will told me over To the heavy pressures grade school teachers put on him not to go to church you come for parade. Instead, the Cuban Communist Party sponsored a festive March with bright red flags recently wanted to draw the children from God and toward the party will remember the heavy emphasis that you can put schools put on literacy they wanted everyone to be able to read their propaganda and the order sent by the party so there is no excuse for disobedience.

Finally, John Rice, after having escaped from a prison island will and his parents made their way to New York City to pursue the ordinary middle-class lies that the poor worldwide still dream of that too and that too many self-styled intellectuals hold and bemused contempt that was one thing that will always found puzzling. These people have any idea what people in Cuba would give to live in American middle-class life reasonable working class life USB flabbergasted that many thousands give the lie silly rickety boats to the shark infested water, sometimes with the Cuban military should have them.

As Castro had ordered right so here's the question. This is what John smacks friend will was asking EE would see people standing up for communism. He would see people supporting the former Soviet Union. He would see people celebrating Castro's revolution is talking about here in America that that various intellectuals and leading thinkers would would say yeah this is great.

Their system is great and and he sent today even know what life is like in Cuba. What we grew up with my family grew up with will wonder aloud why so many intellectuals and wannabes like Hollywood actors shipped off to Cuba over the decades. Why did they rally to the support of a vicious dictator who drove one of the wealthiest nations in Latin America to poverty and stagnation oppressed and destroyed his middle-class nationalizing virtually all private property, fill the scales with priest nuns, businessman, ordinary citizens and tortured dissident authors and ordinary people whose only crime was that he been denounced as homosexual.

So join me now to answer those questions adjust barricade John, what's the answer of why Hollywood actors intellectual elites that the Prime Minister Trudeau's why are they so infatuated with a violent dictator with oppressive regime like like the dictator Fidel Castro.

I think spiritually interesting. I think that people are attracted to socialism and dictatorship because of a succession of spiritual corruption, and it starts with with vanity, pride comes with that kind of class snobbery where the most in almost all of these people were born in middle to upper middle-class or even wealthy background there comfortable they've never had to struggle to get clean water, good food, good education in a safe place to live. All things by the way that people don't have in Cuba. They take anything for granted the things that come from our system of economic and political and religious freedom, and that they develop a contempt for the kind of like a spoiled rich kid you know all another Rolls-Royce really daddy do we need another one in the trash of the car. I think these people think they can start to have a kind of contempt for people below them who are struggling to make ends meet. When you see intellectuals complaining about the people of Walmart making fun of people on Black Friday really are just mostly working-class people trying to get nice Christmas presents for their family at a discount and you know all of these but sheer realistic horrible American. So what you see is at first the kind of snobbery you're showing off the fact that you're so prosperous and so privileged that you don't have to be involved in the grubby struggle of supply and demand. The next step is the craving for secret knowledge, which is very similar to what Adam and Eve had in the garden on someone offers you, marks, or some knockoff of car Mark which presents you with an explanation for everything it's gone on to all of human history. This is the secret key. The key is that the bourgeoisie.the wealthy actually be the one per centers are exploiting everyone and draining off the well for their own benefit to you. Unlike everyone around you understand the whole mechanism of history you're part of a privileged elite to have this Gnostic secret information and then the third step is a desire for godlike power over your fellow man.

Because you're part of this check you can be involved in grabbing control of the levers of history and changing thing and imposing a man-made utopia on your fellow man, whether he likes it or not that's a very handy exciting prospect are already part of this secret elite that understands the way things really work. Now you can be part of the tiny elite that imposes chain and and becomes in installing the words and engineer a human soul, John, to what extent do you see a similar attitude among the media elites that if admitted. Now they live in some of of the DC bubble and were out of touch with the rest of America. But those the educational elites that that seem to know better. They may not want to impose communism or socialism on America but is it is the same kind of mentality that they really are in the know. Yeah, I think the people. People in those groups align out, they might not be very coherent and might not think it through, that they want a communist dictatorship in America, but they're perfectly happy to share it on being done to somebody else in Cuba. All they really thought that through that half the question of rights, like, but we we in America can live in prosperity, and freedom of gosh, I'm glad somebody sticking it to the store.

Cuban really help, but I think what's going on as they have a kind of envy they they don't identify with the ordinary Cuban citizen they fantasize about being in the position of the Cuban party leader. They would love to make some radical changes in America. There intellectuals like to tinker with society as if it were an aunt farm and they don't think of themselves as being just ordinary people like everybody else with limited information fallen like everybody else know their part of an intellectual elite to have to tell other people how to think, as if ideas were sharp objects and ordinary citizens were children in your to protect him from injuring himself on you know John is always you give the eloquent descriptions to to what you're saying and vivid metaphors, but I am reminded of the conversation I alluded to the earlier in the broadcast. When North Carolina voted overwhelmingly against redefining marriage 61% percent to 39% before the courts overthrew that a young lady called me. She was ashamed to be a North Carolinian, but she was so proud of her County which was one of the few counties that voted for redefining marriage and she was university student, and it was University County and she was bemoaning the fact that she's my words.

The backward bigots got to vote on this, the people really don't know anything they got to vote and ultimately me with a PhD from you.

I was one of those backward but big as Minnesota came down to so here she is a college student. They're the ones that you get to vote the territory. America is not these these common idiots and obsoletes that the common idiots who got Donald Trump elected hate jump. We got a break. I got a few more questions and I'd love to just get your input quickly about the Pope and abortion since you got a whole or more expertise on this than I do, but will welcome back more Castro and the left with my guess John's miracle. One of the lead editors and writers@stream.org.

The line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution. Here again is Dr. Michael Brown speaking with John Merrick, DM, IR, AK is writings along with minded many others@thestreamthatisstream.org so John the. The reaction of the same single referring to is the liberal elite. There reaction to the Trump election or during the Trump campaign, labeling the Trump supported a certain way or looking at them, certainly. Is this in keeping with this infatuation with these these other ideologies that would be so supportive of a Castro and again this kind of elite mentality that looks down its nose on on all these other ignorant peasants that are voting the wrong way yet I think I got together.

I think the people who felt the utmost contempt of their fellow citizens are voting differently like that college student you mentioned who by the way, should know that those backwoods roots whose taxes keep her university open patient but maybe they should vote to defund it except for math and science. I always thought I be a good idea. That's the first step in that process that first progression of evil that laid out the first step of snobbery, of seeing your fellow citizens as less than you as thinking that your formal education in one field or another makes you a Mandarin list qualified part of some special aristocratic group that really ought to be leading the lesser people and telling them how to live and what to think and who to vote for in what religions do following what religion they're not going to be permitted by the government for them to follow. I think freedom makes a lot of people uncomfortable and freedom makes elitist aristocratic people especially uncomfortable. They don't want to see people they should pay think are below them climbing up the ladder. Think about back in the Renaissance movement Middle Ages and the Renaissance be aristocratic passed laws that only they could wear certain clothes and even if merchants made a lot of money and could afford better close in the aristocratic law would prevent them from wearing it because it was important to met Mark off the aristocrat from all the lesser people well academia and to some degree financial success have become the new aristocracy and those people are just as exclusive adjusted contemptuous as any British aristocratic a lot extraordinary and previous broadcast we talked about your process is listed at Yale and Ann and Jan there their worldview and and how wrong they were in their perceptions of how history dramatically proves them wrong. Everything they were sure would not happen and in maybe it it it's different. Maybe it's related. You got some great articles about about Steve Bannon and got campaign strategist for Donald Trump and one of the leaders of Breitbart.com I don't know him personally or not his defender, but you saw a certain method of vilifying an opponent, and I don't know if this goes always or if this is again something done by kind of the liberal elite but but what happened to him in terms of the way he was demonized and painted a certain way and again that's typical event of anyone that voted for Donald Trump. Yeah, I think your group started to vilify omelettes. I've only dealt with him a few times and what acute onset Breitbart, I just read everything you said in the media and seeing what he's done a seems to me like a good man.

A smart man, a tough man who is not afraid to fight and that is what the left cannot forgive in a conservative is one who is willing to fight one is willing to go up there and say some pious things and then lose graciously in our cabin To the way Jim Bush came across during the campaign like well everyone, I'm gonna lose dairy Clinton but I'm gonna do it like a gentleman just like Mitt Romney and and Sen. McCain did them thinking that they can forgive what they can't forgive as someone like Ted Cruz or Donald Trump comes out bareknuckled ready to fight were not supposed to fight to win were supposed to be good losers and gradually maybe just voluntarily climb onto the death benefit into the dustbin of history.

Where was the locks Steve Bannon is a populist and the nationalist in the sense that Andrew Jackson was he see the American people is kind of a big extended family that should be looking out for each other, including the people are not that well off budget autoworker such as Hispanic and black people who were born here who are citizens can't get jobs because the borders are being flooded with people work illegally and undercut their wages, you ordinary European citizens were now victims of she hottie rate gang than there being inundated with these Muslim colonists by the earliest government that wanting to let them vote on the issue in Europe is far less democratic than America think or hold their countries like France with the people want to get out of the EU and the government won't give them a referendum in their censoring the press in Britain, the European Union stored in the British press to stop identifying Ludlum as such when they commit you not attack because it it upsets the peasant's yeah I think I think of the get the Democratic left but also elements of the Republican Party who has felt eclipsed by Donald from people at national review and the weekly standard and senior numbers go way down while Breitbart went way up there. They don't like seeing Steve Bannon right the top. Either it threatened to throw them into a relevant interesting interesting again. You can read more of what John's written at the stream I we literally have two minutes you are Catholic you involved in editing for the English translation of of a book with some of the posts, the teachings what is actually set or not said regarding abortion. If you could summarize in two minutes or less. The pump is not change the Catholic Church's teaching on abortion at all. He changed one internal thing in the way that we process people who are pet repentant for having had an abortion made it a little bit easier to get back in the good graces of the church.

Once you've repented for an abortion. Don on the abortion issue. Pope Francis is not visibly different from anyone who came before him while you while the controversy that the controversy about what he's doing with divorce. He is trying to create a de facto acceptance for divorce and remarriage in the Catholic Church which the Catholic Church has never allowed.

In fact, we have infallible counsel. I like the Council of Trent taught that there can be absolutely no divorce and remarriage are Catholic. The Pope Francis is trying to change that. There are four Cardinals would come out against him, asking him to correct his teaching, and now they're being threatened with losing their status as cardinals so there's a really big doctrinal battle within the Catholic Church but it's about divorce, not abortion, and I've written about that at the stream as well is an article called an FAQ for all Christians on divorce. Pope Francis and the bishops? I have a John's very easy to find the name it's a lot less common than Michael Brown CM IR capable of listening come from Austria-Hungary, the province of Croatia. My grandfather left in 1916 lock either from Joseph was still on the ground. I resigned a bit of history is all hey John, God bless. Great talking to you.
