Tell me why you differ. Don't just post on social media where I can interact with you now.

That's fine if you want to do that but if you want my response number one. Don't assume I'm going to see your response were regularly connected on social media with a good 600,000 people plus several million that we interact with route through social media on a regular basis through our articles and videos and things like that so 99% chance I won't see what you post or have to say.

I'm all for having a public moderated debate or setting up an online Skype debate. If we can't do when a normal public face-to-face moderated debate and for those who differ with me or not business specially qualified necessarily analogy you're not representing a political party or representing ideology and official spokesperson, but you got some say that's why we have phones open on the radio show 866-34-TRUTH 784 we come back we'll talk about this Huffington Post editorial but I got a lot to talk about the Republican spending bill.

Is this a complete sellout evangelical porn star claims to be a follower of Jesus evangelical follow Jesus goes to church with Bible in hand a whole lot more.

Come your way today, line 5 file line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown get into the minor fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown back about what we do. If the culture completely crumbles around we do if we lose culture whereafter culture war and things are only getting worse.

What we do, how do we stand how do we live few more things on my list hope to get you as well some fake news issues, 866-34-TRUTH number called swim with your comments, questions, concerns, all right if you didn't hear this a few days ago.

It was reported that United Methodist judicial Council, which is his highest court has declared that the consecration of Bishop Karen Ola Vento violated church law right and violated church law. Why just one minor issue. She's quote married to another woman. She is an open lesbian relationship.

She might be devoted to her partner not disputing that she might be devoted many ways to her church she she might in many ways, care for the poor, but hurting the needy. Maybe very compassionate person, in many ways, but obviously based on explicit scriptural standards based on explicit moral standards course can't be consecrated serving as a bishop in the Methodist Church, and of course there's a lot of debate within the Methodist Church the Methodist Church is really struggling over these issues and I think ultimately it's got to split dislike Presbyterian denominations of split Lutheran denominations of split, they split over these issues because you have the liberal side that goes away from historic teaching of the church in Scripture and you have those that hold to what the Bible says and what their churches have taught through the centuries.

So, I think. Inevitably, there has to be a split but obviously Methodists love their tradition and that won't stay together so there in turmoil right now over this so there's an article in Huffington Post that came out a few days ago. April 29 that would been Saturday. It's by Clay Farris Nath.

He is the science and religion correspondent for the human asked magazine recent book of his is free. God now, so obviously he is a human asked, not a religious conservative okay so you know where he's going in his article and you can assume are the articles going. This is Huffington Post right so he now rips in to the Methodist Church and says this, there are only only criticism but only Chris of the Lodge against her. She's married a woman to anyone free of ancient prejudices. The injustice of condemning all Vento is plain no stellaris. You don't need ancient prejudice to say that marriage is the union of a man and a woman. You don't need ancient prejudice to say that God designed men for women and women from men. You don't even need ancient prejudice to say even in history.

In some societies were homosexual practice was celebrated. It was not called marriage. Marriage was something different and separate in the church including the Methodist Church for all of its centuries, the church historically all of its different branches and denominations. The centuries before the explicitly taught marriage was the end of a man and woman, and homosexual practice was forbidden is not ancient prejudice. This what you call common sense. But more importantly biblical sense. This is how can love be wrong. What server, what if it's three people in love or for regardless of the combination of male-female with its two brothers, and love are two sisters in love with which a grown father with a grown daughter with their in love even sanction all of those. How can love unfolded and commitment fidelity be wrong. Same question to yours with possible harm can our marriage because how about breaking down of scriptural morality in terms of what is right what is wrong sexually, romantically, how about redefining marriage about redefining parental relations with children. How about throwing out centuries of the teaching of the church and then you open the door to throw all kinds of other things which remarkable to me is Mr. nurse is obviously a thinking man and that he is obviously passionate about these things yet. He's unable to see that there's another rational, logical point of view.

He goes on all of it is active commitment.

The judicial Council found stands in contradiction to 1972 amendment to the dominations book of discipline which states itself about practicing homosexuals not to be certified as candidates ordained as ministers were appointed to serve the United Methodist Church.

Why not the practice of homosexuality. It says is incompatible with Christian teaching of obviously the amendment was needed because of the fact that that there was a sexual revolution taking place. Otherwise, no one needed to raise this issue. Otherwise, you need an amendment say this because everybody agreed and knew it what what teaching was that the house it incompatible with Christian teaching will Mr. nurse first you have 2000 years of church teaching. Up until the sexual revolution explicitly say homosexual practice is wrong and marriage requires a man and a woman. So that's Christian teaching you have the traditions, from John Wesley and Leslie and church which leads into the Methodist denomination for a couple of centuries Wesley 1703 to 1790 1C have his body, teaching the 1700s about morality and ethics and things like that and in that's passed on. So you have the church in general for 2000 years you have the Wesley and church for what 250+ years you that you have that and then you have the testimony of Scripture. So now he's going to to mock code Leviticus 18.

Let's men with men, with the got to do with the fact that this is a woman we get Paul in Romans one yeah but that's only of timeout or Jesus stuff like that is that's little pulse documents as in other words, is not a point for point as someone is not a biblical scholar dismiss the biblical evidence to say what Christian teachers can ignore what the church is taught for 2000 years in the Methodist Church a start for 250+ years can ignore that. It's 12. He's now going to become an exegete of expositor interpretive Scripture that is free to do that. But don't be surprised. Serve when there is pushback from those who are students of Scripture in a more serious scholarly way of he says if Paul is the Christian teaching that overrides inform recent compassionate justice and how can denomination turns back when that sex the same from Tarsus declares to the married I give this command that I but the war that the why should not separate from her husband that he raises the issue of divorce as the church gone soft on divorce.

Yes, this has absolutely has the so that two wrongs make a right if if you point out that I've been hypocritical. I tell you, you shouldn't smoke cigarettes that's harmful for you, but I am a closet alcoholic. What's the solution okay you smoke yourself to death and I'll drink myself to death. Now the solutions I could be a hypocrite and I'll drink myself to death and you don't smoke yourself to death while he said I'm arguing for methods Methodist to follow the lead of Roma double down on hypocrisy by doing away with divorce and adding annulments. Of course not Sophie because they want us to be serious about divorce.

I try to help you see that the Bible may be many things historical treasure political conference, sacred Scripture, but as a moral God's hope was excuse me for that expression of exasperation, but with all due respect, much of the sacred Scripture has to do with morality and if it doesn't speak to morality is not sacred Scripture. Meaning, much of the Bible is telling us how to live because there is one God and because he has created us in his image, and because he is also the righteous judge because he made us for purpose because he knows what is right what is wrong on what works and what doesn't work because of all those things is told us how to live in. If the Bible is called sacred Scripture, but not a moral guy, then how is it sacred Scripture is telling you about a gobbler can you trust what it says about this God says about the will of this gobbler can you trust what it says about the will of this God is and how to live but you get reminded how to live a few examples, the 10 Commandments include a prohibition against graven images yet X is $25 as Moses to oversee the creation of two Golden cherubim to decorate the ark of the covenant one-time exemption.

No, no. To do that that these were not images to be worshiped as gods. They were depictions of angels put thereby direction by the Lord but not to be worshiped as gods. That's all thing don't make a graven image and worship so I mean these are some of the ointments. Of course the race during that slavery and so long shown that the Methodist Church is interpreting the Bible to privilege the heterosexual majority will sanctimoniously find ancient laws of questionable life.

Bishop of more important how punctual it Methodist and all religions would do well to abandon the effort to apply scriptural codes contemporary life. Next, her plan by the Expo line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown of your voice and more cultural and spiritual revolution. Here again is Dr. Michael Brown. Thanks so much for about and again Clay Ferris Nath science and religion correspondent with the humanist magazine and I'd say he gave a very good humanist perspective, very good humanist perspective on why we cannot use the Bible as a moral guide. The problem is if he's right to use the Bible at all. If he's right we we should use the Bible for for anything sacred, authoritative, life directing, we shouldn't.

Why because it's just people doing their best to put together beliefs and traditions and spiritual viewpoints, but it's certainly not authoritative holy Scripture you called sacred Scripture, but is no such thing. If it doesn't give us an accurate portrayal of who God is, what he requires of us of what you cannot see with our own eyes. But what is spiritually true, then why, pray tell you even want to give it the time of day.

Other than single interesting writings from people in the ancient world, 866-34-TRUTH of its go to Chesterfield, Virginia John you're gonna want to fire them very well.

Thank you mentioned super overwhelming players that you end up trying to say to all of the Met is filed Bible to make sure this lady doesn't get hurt in the place of their men will start parliament and an even a woman would have a natural affection towards one another." But is this way having a later date. Now you are acceptable in churches church are dying to live are not speaking the truth anymore. You know I love my (great things coming to us on yelling and we really need to wake up John who is the length of of course the he misinterprets Romans and he's got a standard viewpoint there. I think it's important to know what's being said in the circles the as you said the liberal Huffington Post. It's important to know what's being said, because a lot of people believe these things one people being influenced by these things. Whether people read his article and not by the thousands certainly reflects other viewpoints and you can have a conversation with this was someone at work or your kids can be taught consummate school over this, you can run into this and social media. As we address it on the air to do our best to expose the error and and speak truth in the midst of confusion. You make a very important point, though, and that's that churches are bleeding and losing members and in decline because they won't preach the truth. You say no, no, no, the churches that are in decline of the conservative churches. Actually that's not true. Worldwide, the churches that are growing by and large, by a large worldwide. The churches that are going growing are Bible believing churches. Churches that take the Scripture seriously as God's word and those who increasingly depart from that witness those churches aren't spirited, as I've written about this a number of times others. Studies have been done even liberals have come to St. the same conclusion. Some of their own studies and one German theologian had made the comment that people looking for religion are looking for something other and different.

And when you just offer them the same thing they can get in the world.

Why would they go the way of religion.

Let's that's one way of looking at it, but let's look at it from this point what will God back gobble back the preaching of the cross. Gobble back the preaching of the truth. Gobble back the preaching of holiness.

Gobble back the preaching of devotion to him. He won't back preaching that departs from Scripture he won't back preaching that exalts human beings over God that exalts religion of humanism over faith in God he won't back that and not only so the message that departs from the authority of Scripture does not have the power to bring radical conversion and radical change. The method that the message that departs from the words of Jesus and in the words of the prophets. In the words of Paul words of Moses the and and it rightly applies today that the the message that departs from that will not radically convert sinners and will not set them free from bondage and will not deliver them from depression and thoughts of suicide so there is a reason that the churches that are in greatest decline in America and in the nations or the churches that are going more and more liberal where is the ones that are either holding their own.

For the most part or growing, or the ones that are preaching Scripture and I would say the ones that are conservative but are not moving forward. And maybe losing some members it if if they are stagnant, it's because they are not cultivating first love for the Lord. It's because they're not open to the life and power of the spirit. It's because they are exalting tradition more than the truth of God, and that's why they find themselves stagnant. Hey John, thanks for weighing in.

Join us today. It's the line of fire with your host activist, author, international speaker and theologian Dr. Michael Brown voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution get into the line of fire now by calling 6643 here again is Dr. Michael Brown okay if if not yet my E blast so he sends out a couple times a week every so often will be 1/3 will be only twice, once at the end of the week letting you know all of my latest articles all by latest videos that we've put out with a summary of each case you missed anything.

I got a great free e-book on center. I mean this one is an eye-opener. It's called seven secrets of the real Messiah, so sign up for emails right there asked her to Brown.org okay I'm looking at an article, but I have it on my screen in such a way this was some software that I have in such with them just like a text on that looking at pictures on the convention names be because the initial article I was sent had some racy pictures in it and I can link people to that. Nothing new, but some racy pictures on a link anyone to it, but the headline says evangelical Christian porn star believes God is cool with it. You and listen. There are worse sinners than porn stars.

I would say that somebody that kidnaps a human being and abuses them is is worse than a porn star right there husband beats his wife and children is worse than a porn star and in many ways, not condemning. This will be a porn star.

Obviously pornography is a plague in our society and and people within it. Yet many of them are victims as well. But then others are getting victimized by it's a plague it's a destructive plague, but on the I'm not raising this issue to throw fire and brimstone on this woman raised this issue to show how deeply people can be deceived and this woman lives in Latin America right she's outraged churchgoers by declaring she's an evangelical Christian believes there's nothing wrong with her work in the eyes of God. Apparently she's appeared hundreds of erotic movies in her home country is 25.

She grew up in a deeply religious household and she was doing an interview on X-rated TV show and she declares coaches evangelical faith, and she doesn't believe it clashes with her career because she's a quote good person at heart. She's asked by the host.

How you relate that that to your work because people believe a port like this cannot be evangelical Kennedy very religious and she insisted people are very judgmental.

They try to make you conform the way they think and evangelical should be because society says so, but I would agree with this.

I think God sees and set our hearts. He judges the good, the bad things you do and I do good things for people. I'm a good person at heart and that's what matters ought not only not only so hang on hang on, she she's also divorced her husband is living with the lesbian. She said my family was really shocked when they found out that it took them a while to accept because there evangelical beliefs and prejudice against gay relationships made it hard for them to come to terms with my decision, gosh will read anymore enough to say this is very easy to deceive yourself.

She said all when I can I go to church, Bible in hand. I wonder what kind of church and one with the preacher in the pulpit. I'm quite sure if she was an environment where the holy presence of God was there with the word of God was being preached clearly with conviction of sin was the shooting view that altar repenting and discovering the love of God or not. That building may God have mercy on her grantor repents right the line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown get into the line of fire now by calling 8663 here again is Dr. Michael Brown is not about his first hundred days, it's the moderate Republicans who I believe the same to be obstructing Donald Trump's agenda in Congress. And I think they're gonna pay the price in 2018. If they don't stop.

I think if the American people are angry about that and I think it's in these moderates just met my blood. Well honestly I'm more respect for Democrats and other moderate Republicans because it leads Democrats admit what they believe in it sat up front and at least you know what you're dealing with the these moderates pretend to be conservatives. They were conservative voters and then are not conservative point women going to get an office site that that part is maximum blood that's most joyful Junior he was on Saturday with justice with Judge Jeanine on Fox News.

Yeah, you gotta shake your head if if you have looked at the latest clinical news.

There's an article by Ben Shapiro on the daily wire surrender your Palmer the Obama Republicans fully fund Planned Parenthood Obama care sanctuary cities don't fund trumps wall said what what what it is that real is it really going to happen. There is an article on Breitbart.com freedom Caucus rep Jim Jordan I think you can see a lot of conservatives be against the spending plan. Yeah, I will come back to this in a moment, but what in the world is going on there were certain compromises that we were told. Republicans were making with Democrats about spending when Pres. Obama was president because that's the best they could do with him as president, but Republicans now control both houses of Congress and and Republicans have a Republican president who is a go against the establishment, president, and yet they're coming up with the spending plan under under House Speaker Paul Ryan that is filled with compromise and does not carry out many of the, the, the goals of the Trump administration. One was going on, 866-34-TRUTH. Yeah, it's just a real issue here how deeply embedded is the political establishment and and where, pray tell, can it be changed how can it be changed. I asked the question is Donald Trump's finish is finished his first hundred days in office. I asked a question about the media and mainstream media's treatment of Trump and I asked on Twitter wise the mainstream media is so hostile to Trump. I gave four choices.

One is a jerk to his expose their lives. Three.

It's just Democrat versus Republican for other outs. I have folks voted in the moment but wise. The mainstream media so hostile Trump subsite.

Well that's self-evident is 30 presence jerk makes a fool of himself all the time, one position another.

These expose the lies of the mainstream media that's where they go F them so aggressively can't fake news all that third option is just Democrats versus Republicans is the standard stuff in the majority.

The press core Democratic he's Republican that's what you expect and no other choice. Other thoughts I have folks voted as the first votes are coming in is a posted that a little while ago but speaking of Donald Trump. And speaking of the media of let's go over to face the nation's is fascinating interaction.

As Donald Trump is on with John Dickerson on face the nation yesterday, so Johnny grabbed clip number two then I want to share a little bit more from their intricate number two get out very funny one in the fake media goes at in which we call the mainstream media, which sometimes I must say is you. But one thing you personally are show. I love your show high quality face the nation. But you know your show is sometimes not exactly correct. Of course, that's a lot of people love about Donald Trump that Jesus tell you have fake news that you have your fake news to see if they may think that yeah I call you so deface the nation.

But I love the show, but as the entry goes on. He's he's asked about while he sits in things about wiretapping and Pres. Obama you want to go there and will discuss that and will you said that he's in a very bad sick guy standby that trumps response lot on standby anything when that means, like what he meant what I my opinion you have your opinion given you the president United States. That to me is what infuriates people about Donald Trump with a love about Donald Trump so the. The side that supports him.

Those that that can hardly see him ever doing wrong or bad.

The fact he just gets on this prestigious show tells guy you have fake news in your ear guilty of it to the gotta love that about it.

That's on the one side, on the other side, yeah, but he is going to tweet out about wiretapping it yet.

Maybe there was surveillance. Maybe there were things going on that should be discussed, but he made the very harsh statement about for Pres. Obama standby that you have here. I my opinion that you standby we have the president stated that's what his critics despise about them, that they which is degrading the presidency and I would say you saw both sides of it. You saw both sides of it on the face the nation interview again as I get most of my news by reading it. I didn't see the interview I read transcripts of good portions of it, but I would say that you got there the strengths and the weaknesses in a specifics about North Korea when you actually saying say I told you over and over and over again.

I want to say so much a matter tip my hat and I'm not going to tell hostile nations exactly what we can do and when were going to do it. If there's a strategy to scare them incessantly might announce it. Otherwise he's gonna have his plans did you have anything to do questions he's been asked and he did everything to do with bringing down the North Korean missile was like a comment on that but he did say this to get better and better, which would imply it. We did bring this down, but with a little we can keep bringing them down and he also said this in terms of the leader of North Korea whether he stable and not with recycle or not is gonna be a smart guy to come into power in his 20s, with all the generals and others that want to take him out other family that want to take amount of survivors can be pretty sharp, yet he could be psycho and sharp at the same time and present Trump wasn't denying that any way for the Trump lovers for the Trump haters. I think you both got father to back your position you got fuel for your fire with you like Trump or not on face the nation again. I do want to come back to the issue of the. The Republican sponsored spending bill and what compromises it currently contains and will to be pushback against it. Do I come back to that, but a quick example of face of fake news and none of them go back to the phones so I see all these headlines about a funky Trump booed in Berlin since booed in Berlin. She's grilled saw okay side that you see all those reports I didn't watch it is not a major concern to me either way but I I see all that okay.

And, universally reported. I know I did go searching but I'm just saying it's seemed to be major mainstream news outlets online reporting at the same way boot boot boot mention are even talk about yet here she was booed in Berlin damages rate. Brief will spot this article from Germany out rate system is not booting Berlin. She was received well what are you talking about and and that the one thing under question are in question and the panel discussion is one thing in question. In the panel discussion I was in was one one point that was being made. She was being asked in the audience responded a certain way, but was being boot or grilled and and I sent that article Nancy and Nancy pointed out that towards the end of the interview.

The host said to voc. I hope I hope you think we been a good audience something to that effect. We don't say that if the audience is booing you and grilling you now again I have not listened to all of it and analyzed all of it and what was going on and how clearly, what could you hear the audience through the mics on stage and so on and so forth. But all that to say that this was just universally reported headline news or uniformly reported headline news.

That said, if I could Trump booed in Berlin and it could well be true that it is fake news, fake news reported by numerous mainstream news outlets. What's it telling you, be careful, be careful how quickly you believe things I asked you find it useful to read ultraconservative and ultra liberal websites and see how they report the same instances it's it's not just enlightening, it's scary is most of us not can do the research. Most of us don't have time to.

And sometimes it's hard to get behind the headlines of the store to find out what actually happened on your own to say read the news grain of salt until you're sure about the veracity and/or the reliability of the sources will be right back. The line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution there again is Dr. Michael Brown sure friends to check out my he's asking to be a soft gutter article on that as well. You can read the article you can watch the video going and start to brown the Lord is click on the digital library right Esther to round or click on the digital library you can read my latest article, women in bikinis asking to be assaulted or watch the video version or check out both again asked Dr. Brown.or check out the digital library I we go back to the phones in Connecticut. Allen, welcome to the line of fire is strictly welcome Dr. Brown I bid you good good major you probably burnable sacred location or I could say I got dressed a little bit watch almost socialist monopolize goodwill in the space. I wish you good Mayday. Well, thank you for having a medley of subjects, add to the mix by asking you a question about how we use the old covenant with God now. I was raised in Orthodox to the guard. Not very well would integrate often was an undisciplined kid, but my experience when I was there. If I looked up I sent you started showing himself at L Shaddai, God Almighty is like an uncompromising great one and I was kind of afraid of God. At that time and I want to be that the new covenant Christian, a messianic Jew and a Pentecostal Christian funders believe that the media can expound on our chapter 3 verse 16 from Eastern spin English been averted, then those who feared the Lord spoke with one another. The Lord paid attention and heard them in a book of remembrance was written before him of those who feared the Lord and its theme to name I work in our culture sometime tomorrow.

Hot days of trying to I looked up communion with the Lord.

Ultra love the Lord by experience, they might say your table. Take the dorsum of the Shenyang shield, shifter who are the name which is me and got it.

How do you name the name of Jesus Christ how Shirley was speaking the Lord's name. Can we spell it to him. We are young so Yahweh how do your name.

How can we get shirts missing Allen glad to answer questions. First thing to steam his name does not mean to pronounce it or how we pronounce it. It means to steam who he is.

When the Bible speaks of the name of the Lord. It doesn't just mean the pronunciation if if I say the student say when you leave our school will have the name of our school walk worthy of the name of our school on the time of the name fire was saying it but who we are and what we represent. That's what I'm talking about Isaiah 3027's is the name of the Lord is coming from afar. It doesn't mean the name in the sky like a banner.

The back of a plane or something like that are in sky writing and while there is the name that means who he is when when God rebukes his people. Click the sequences you forgot my name at this in the pronunciation means who he is when the religious leaders and ask for our same bike by whose name or public power. Did you heal this man asking the apostles about the healing and ask three yet that they want they want to know the name but who you talking about how how did you do this, that that's the key thing when Jesus reveals the name of the Lord.

Again, it's not that he got his disciples in private and secretly said, hey, hey guys guys say pronounce the name. Though it it's not that he did that so to steam his name means to honor who he is to steam his name means to reference him to steam his name means to take seriously who he is and what he is about. So that means to esteem his name now as to the pronunciation. The best take that we have is pronounced Yahweh were not 100% sure we can be quite sure it's not your whole law which comes into English as Jehovah. But people are related to him is Jehovah. I don't think it bothers him because after all, Yahweh would have had meaning when first revealed to God's people. Millennia ago, and as Hebrew speakers it would have had more significance than it does to us and then Yahweh coming into English would come in his job today, which is a very foreign sounding name to many of us so some just say Adonai. That's the Jewish traditional way of saying, Lord, instead of actually pronouncing his name you find that, for example, in the tree of life version or in the complete Jewish Bible and are most for English translations. It has L than small caps. All RAD's and that's Yahweh there and and represents the tetra grandma them that the name of the Lord with the four letters why H WH a tape of hate in Hebrew. I've seen translations that say the eternal, and if you're reading in Arabic translation and ill have Al Cobb help which is the Lord as we have in our English versions. The Greek, the Septuagint had Curry office Lord so it's fine to simply refer to him as Lord of the Lord, you can esteem God's name by exalting Jesus because every knee will bow to him, to the glory of God the father you can say Yahweh can say Adonai can say how sham. The name is traditional Jews also do any of those things any of those things are fine as long as you reference him for who he is and recognize him for who he is. So thank you Alan for the call of the estimate.

First, what is Mayday events to advocate for better rights for workers are planned in cities across the country, including Seattle and will see what happens with those rallies, how much you assume they can also be by default and to trump rallies baby Seattle being a fairly liberal city, but see what unfolds over the course of their even what's happening now, but limit legal back to something because in and get into it more in the second hour the Republican establishment is often an enemy of conservative moral goals is sometimes a friend of considerable goals and sometimes it is an enemy of conservative moral goals because it is more committed to maintaining power than to doing what is right and it is a strange compromise and understand how it happens. I don't understand what gets into people. I'm not in that world.

But something happens where what's black-and-white clear knowing because black-and-white clear becomes muddled and where principal and ideology tends to become subsumed by party politics, and one reason that I endorse Sen. Ted Cruz during the primary seminal that all endorse a candidate again in the future for number of reasons, but one reason why I did was because he's taken on the establishment is called with the Washington cartel. Now, with Republicans controlling both houses of Congress and was president trump in office.

Why can't some of the agenda be pushed forward, some of which include strong conservative values like defunding Planned Parenthood. What's stopping it. This is why I put little trust establishment changed, grassroots, you and I for the people of God waking up serving God and doing what's right in touching the world around us. Remember, this is opportune time to join us as a torchbearer this month. Good*around the Lord to find out if you had 10 words of advice for young adult with a be my guest has 101 stage for the line of fire with your host activist and author, international speaker and theologian Dr. Michael Brown your voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution Michael Brown is the director of the coalition of conscience and president of fire school of ministry get into the line of fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH. That's 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown a few minutes I'm going to be joined by columnist and now author John Hawkins talk about his new book the hundred and one things all young adults should know before we talk with John want to talk about an article I wrote over the weekend, ask you why won't liberals progressive, these open-minded people led to the wall. The debate moving dialogue with a bit of time people have had public interaction with his peers.

Prof. to Prof. radio host radio host appearing on TV was some appearing on TV. Intellectual intellectual will get whatever the thing was as peers interacting this okay let's let's do this let's let's have a discussion, my radio show. Let's do a public moderate debate. Formal debate greeted with silence ways that you can read that, what set Esther to Brown.org, but the reason I raise it now is that a couple of people but not many want posted this on the Esther to run Facebook page but a couple people said what you want to debate this preach the gospel and the worry about that.

What he wanted debate.

I appreciate the sentiment, and that ultimately we want to lead people to Jesus, but I find it quite unrealistic to say that debate and dialogue has no place in some of these folks is to list all of off the air. This is talk that one, show that "give me a platform at some have a platform inviting your my platform now and I will this publicly.

Okay, was talk privately. In other words, I'm about interacting when you share the gospel. Someone you've never dialogue you never debated you just preach at them and given the verses and if they say why I have a question about the Bible not on the alert is preached. You do that now. Of course, not a lot of understanding of God is good, was assume and suffer. Well, I'm just going to tell you about Jesus know you talk to them interact with them.

You can comes home from college 19 years old. Their first year college and their devastated mom.

I think the Bible is true in my profession is really brilliant and he's Shamil these contradictions in the Bible and show me stuff out that the manuscripts that the ancient manuscripts in the and in what people believe and I think we been to mom. Well, I just need to believe you just need to love I rebuke you Satan get out of my daughter. Is that how you respond I hope not. As you sit down and you say okay let's look at all your questions and you know I'm a really strong that the here check out this website or you know what watch this debate. Your professor what's his name again.

Yeah, he did debate with with this professors Christian you should watch that debate and we can watch as the debate may come away all we do have answers. Thank God there. There their faith has been salvage their world has been salvage. This happens all the time all the time and if I should engage in debate and dialogue, and what did Paul do it once all of Tarsus. Paul do in the synagogues, starting in acts nine. As soon as he was a believer, what, and any continued dude dude in synagogues. That's a service.

Congregations were actually planted that that the people that hurt them in the synagogue Jews came to faith in some Gentile God fears were there they came to faith that started like detergent cards, for example, as it started to debate and dialogue as well, as through preaching Jesus the Messiah and him crucified and preach that message loudly and clearly. Sometimes the debate and I will get you to the point where you can now preach the message is get people to stop in here. That's were posted. Next the 18th chapter. It's great.

It's biblical purpose is not to be contentious.

The purpose is to help people see the truth and help those struggling that answers we don't do this, friends a lot of people. I will be right back.

John here on the line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown your voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution.

Here again is Dr. Michael Brown Lloyd of the time.

Once we come with them in our classes and interacting in other settings, and sometimes in seminary settings, teaching interacting, but these are two-person people very deeply committed to the Lord. Following the Lord, with strong moral foundations already and they'll often ask, okay, what's it what's one key thing or if you have it tell me this or that fivefold. You tell me what I was just sitting out with young adults in general. Some of them who believe the Bible to be God's word. Some of them who don't was try to give them guidelines words of wisdom or I tell them well. My guess John Hawkins well-known political commentator has written a book, 101 things all young adults should know some of you follow him on right wing news, but this is his first book is written many many columns and the book is filled with lessons that newly minted adults need in order to get the most out of life. John walking to the line of fire. Thanks for joining us today. It is fantastic to be on wiki again. Thanks Remi on my joy John how old are you I am 4646 all right see past the young adult stage, but your you're not a senior citizen yet what you've written so much on political issues for for many years.

You're known for that. Your columns are known for that.

What prompted you to write this book. Well, I've written some nonpolitical stuff.

I wrote a nonpolitical stuff or got into politics. I've written some sort of self-help type things for pajamas media always enjoy those. I wrote a piece a while back called 50 things every 18-year-old should know it was very short. It really got a lot of play, and he gave me the idea that hey, there's a lot of people who would enjoy getting this book it would be help by and on top of that, I'm like the rest of us. You know you get up to a certain age and youth that you know if I knew it 20 what I knew today I would've been so far ahead of the game, so I was looking through different parts of the book is as you sent me over the that the e-book to read through and I was struck. For example, you talk about having sex for the first time pre-or earth who you cannot be with and things like that that your approach was.

Not to say okay like you're talking to a Bible believer. We know what the Bible says we know the Bible says about morality. We know you don't sleep with someone you're not married to, etc. obviously when I hold to those views, but you approach this just run it hit it from a different angle. So how do you tackle these types of moral questions in the book as you do touch on small things as well as just really practical things have you tackle these without quoting Scripture to your audience well to start with. I do know that you know there are more concerned things, but I don't focus my argument there because what I find that people already know their moral concerns and if it's not going to stop him. You have to talk to him about the practical parts of it and the reason I think in a lot of cases, God gives us the things and tell that you need to do things more awake is very practical reasons behind every just to give you Annick Hampel you know you don't want. I mean there's a lot of negative consequences to being in a relationship with a married woman picked are completely aside from morals. Maybe she's already what a husband you going to have got you going to be really upset.

People don't look down on it are so many things and it's going to be comping go on and on and on with me so I didn't want to come to people and just sorta hammer it because not everybody agrees with us already. I want to I wanted a kid who's a liberal or an atheist appeal to read this and say all right.

While this guy talk about the moral stuff he believes in God think I should blame God. But I'm not going to hammer that on the kid because it will turn them off.

I think it's so another words if I want to look at this from spiritual viewpoint.

God's ways are getting God's ways are life so for example, let's say there was a a commandment in the Bible do not run out into the street without looking both ways. That's not there because God wants to in inhibit your fund or your freedom. It's there so you don't get killed, so your point is going to be to talk about what happens when you run out into the street where their cars because they're ready prone to do that so in the book which you targeting 18 to 30-year-olds. You have different sections friendship love social situations. No regrets.

Money matters adult thing health career success. The responsible self-awareness live life to the fullest and in each of your answers is going to be a page or two long in responding, so clear, but to the point.

So let's let's take a sampling friendship give me some advice for young adult in the area friendship. All right, here's a good one. Don't loan money to your friend in the reason I say that to you is because if friend comes to you and says hey I need $150 to pay my utility bill, one is probably not good with money that white having to come to you to next month. He still not going to have the money and you can only utility company and is going to owe rent need to know all these people going to have to pay off before you can end up happening is that six months from now.

He still not going to have paid you.

You can be angry at him and your friendship going to be over if you want to help somebody in that situation.

Give them the money if you can afford to do that or don't want to do that, that's fine too. All right, let's let's take another example here from friendship. Set hard boundaries in your personal life. Absolutely I think a lot of times friendship can start off okay and go awry because people will allow people other their friends to do things that they don't go comfortable with.

You can. There are just so many examples of it. If sockets get in trouble all the time.

Well, different going to do this and they don't feel good about it.

But they're going to go do it anyway because their friend what you've gotta be willing to say hey you know I don't I don't do drugs if you want to do drugs go do that or I don't do this. I don't do that you got David there some things you're not going allow people to do like I can give you an example. I had a friend of mine. She was dating a guy for gosh years and they got along great with Dr. in a couple well he shopped her one day I mean like actually shelter and you know what that was.

It sheet that was in a relationship and I agree with that because you know what she's got a boundary in her life that nobody no guy sure is going to attack her and I agree with that and I think a lot of times in life with different things we don't that those hard boundaries and we allow people to run over them, and it can be very damaging to us. Yeah, absolutely. And if you don't learn this way you you often end up living the hard way and Psyche said in an interview about the book. A lot of the mistakes you make are not because you dumb, but because you experience a a lot of what were passing on your seeking to pass on the book as a been there done that.

Let me let me tell you what you don't want to go that way, you know, it's like you driving on a road. The days before GPS and and some silly none of this is a real bad accident.

You better get out of this exit.

You know I tried to go that way it's backed up for miles try to give the practical advice. Another example in the category of friendship is, is this you will become like the people you spend the most time with course.

The Bible gives us those principles as well. Bad company can corrupts good morals explained explains what you telling a young adult who somehow doesn't realize this already, while you are going to become more like the people you around if they're great people of all your friends look like. Just as an example, are they loved weightlifting man that's all they do, they do CrossFit and a weightlifter made healthy.

I guarantee you your and I have a pretty good diet, probably, and you're gonna like to exercise your friends and you're going to go along with them. If all your friends. Let's say do drug are all your friends like to go to brothels here there in Nevada and I like to do that, you're probably end up doing that to conduct your friends and they influence you there thinking in the way they behave.

In fact, I've heard people say and II think this is probably true. You're almost the average of the five people you spend the most time around whether they're good people are bad people, and it's something to think about, you know what type of people are you the average is not the people you want to be more likely to people you don't want to be more like him again friends the book 101 things all young adults should know by John Hawkins of it in the book do talk about mistakes you've made and learn from absolutely talk about wonder, I've made one that other people may let me give you one I made on the financial side 18 years old I get to college and my parents at the first semester they wanted to give me a language they didn't want me to work. They wanted me to focus on my schoolwork which is fine so I get this credit card and mail in its preapproved and I'm thinking wow God must be a bunch idiots.

I'm 18 years old and it I don't have a job and are given me a preapproved credit card. So naturally I made really smart purchases with it like pizza party supply and I spent maybe $400 doesn't sound like a lot of money now.

But time I couldn't pay it back because I was on that small island so soon. I started racking up penalties and interest. By the time I was done I ended up paying over $1000 on the card.

Most of it and interest and penalties, and cut the thing up. There are so many people who either have that happen to them or they have friends who had it happened to them. I mean how much you ever had a friend or have you ever had some like that happen you and us with the time a credit card.

What did you end up doing ASCII major credit card mistake. Well, I'll see what I did. I actually paid off. I cut it off late in the year.

Got it. That's all in the book right friends. I got more questions for John Hawkins, the new book 101 things all young adults should know her plan and it's the line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown into the line of fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown, Frank adults all she's new, young adults should know what one question. It's a fascinating one. Talk about relationships. The mother test what what is the mother test what he recommended. Well, it's a little different for men and women but first of all, if you're a woman and you want to see how your God treat you watch how he treats his mother and if you're a guy you want to see a little bit light. What is your girlfriend don't look like what she gonna be like when she gets older, probably less.

She's a twin. The closest thing to that is going to be her mother. Now there can be some little quirks. With that kind of thing I mean, you might have someone who can have a reaction to other parent is like you'll be that sometimes a letter to parents, an alcoholic, you might have a kid like no I'm not touching alcohol or want to be anywhere around. If you keep that in mind, but I think paying attention to how your partner treats their mother tells you a lot about them and how their powder mother turns out woman to help you a lot about how your wife can be later in life right when it comes to love the category of chapter 2 love you say that men should embrace their masculinity and women should embrace their femininity. Obviously, what would have been taken for granted. In past generations is is now controversial today know this is hetero sexist in the.

The binary gender binary.

You're buying into it but but why is that so important for the developing of a relationship. It's funny you mention that one because I tried to make this block nonpolitical.

I have seen some reviews there like while obviously this is a very conservative book because he seems to believe there are two genders the masculine women are feminine so obviously a conservative, which apparently those are conservative things now at what I might tell you I have had so many female friends of mine who tell me all the time, but where the men gone yet where the guys where you know I'm looking around at all the guy feel almost like they have hormone problems are so wishy-washy and wimpy, and then with you the man I love absolutely love feminine women. Women who were very feminine.

It's just a great thing and I think a lot of times what you find is people are happier men are happier when there masculine and when they feel good about themselves in a masculine way and can handle her business and women are happier when there feminine and people tend to like their partners like a pure man, you tend to want a feminine woman in a Femina woman tends like a masculine man and you just leave us everywhere. Adjuster alike left the pickup as you get older you and again it doesn't mean that every stereotype has to be accurate in every case but yet there is there is a difference God made us differently and it's a basic controversial statement that there two genders boil boy.

Write a chapter for no regrets. The first one is one that for my generation might be scratching their heads about. I'm 62, but this is pervasive with young adults today and an even older folks and young teens as well. Your 23rd point of what you want to tell young adults don't take naked pictures of yourself, yet you would think that would be Self-explanatory me to tell anybody, but they do.

It happened all the time I get the cell phones are so pervasive in there with her boyfriend and a take naked pictures what they are. They don't realize is that number one if they break up with her boyfriend. He may show people pictures that happen all the time.

The other thing is in this digital age can have those stolen they might be phenomenal cloud somewhere. I had a friend, for example, who told me she upload to make a pictures and someone hacked into her server install coming. I want start feeling just those pictures but they got boring with all the same thing only celebrity. Not so long ago who had all their bones ripped off in their naked pictures released online.

It's an embarrassing thing. It can be. I mean I would just say don't take pictures of anything that you don't want the whole world to see. Probably a good idea yet and again friends. John's writing for people who don't have the sense already to know this or who are not close enough to God to recognize they don't want to be doing certain of these things what about .32. Don't ever forget you're gonna die someday.

Yeah I think a lot of times and this is where midlife crises come from is that people get the 40 and next thing you know I had always dreamed.

And I'm not actually doing any of them amount on track to do any of them still catch up. Go to a certain degree at 40 but one day you are going to die and you want to look back on your life and what you can be looking at back at he can be looking back it, friends, marathons, and yet are you got me looking back at the a wife and kids that you be looking back at the time you spent with your friends the time you spend achieving the things you always want to do so. You know when you're young it feels like you have infinite time and if you can only realize you know what you don't have infinite time things change all the time go after what you want and what you want out of life and go ahead and start getting you climb it.

I was with hours to go through raising some friends. Get the book. 100 things all young adults should go and get it to give to young adults in particular if they don't have our same morals or faith. This a great book to give them to get them thinking under adult in chapter 6. Keep a clean house. That one is a particular law of mine. I was so messy. At one point my mother and she'll hate me, tell a story, but she fed a threat not like young like tenure located Brighton first stuffed animal out your animal doubt if you'll clean your bathtub and what I was really really sloppy copy to my mid 20 and then there were some three basic rules.

I learned that really, really helped in the first is every day you make sure the dishes are out of think and there in the dishwasher clean you make sure that your any laundry you have it in the laundry if either washed or folded and put up and you know you do that and you do that thing and you you make sure okay and leaving any trash out your you take that out and man that 90% of keeping a clean house unless you got a bunch of kids in their method it up every day you vacuum here and there you go little mottled often and you're going to be pretty good to me as a bachelor. That's almost all yet really have to do to keep the place. Becoming a diet leave so that that's a good thing to keep in mind our friends were getting you snippets of the new John Hawkins book 100 things all young adults should know hate John Emily got a minute but that I can't resist asking this question what the world is going on with Republicans in the spending bill when we control the Republicans control both houses of Congress. Your company where so this compromise coming from.

After tell you it's not really compromise if the Democrats are getting everything they want or sometimes arise yeah there I really must complement that I think they are so terrified of the Democrats will shut down the government and they'll be blamed for it because isn't it weird you know when Republicans were out of power they get blamed for another in power they get blamed for. I think they're so scared of that or just give them whatever they want, but at some point you gotta take him on a beat up. And if you don't do that you never get what you want to tell you they got killed.

This budget is not that different from one Hillary Clinton will push for it. Bad budget. In a lot of ways complete loss. Rockside this remarkable hey John, thanks for joining us again.

The new book 101 things every young adults should know but John Hawkins appreciate you joining us and appreciate your wisdom will thank you so much Rafe.

Anna really appreciated that Amazon is nonoffice. All right there you go check out John Hawkins on Amazon get there.

It's the line of fire with your host activist, author, international speaker and theologian Dr. Michael Brown voice of more cultural and spiritual revolution get into the line of fire now by calling 6634 through here again is Dr. Michael Brown share with you email got it from young man who's been on the front of culture wars, and standing up for the faith as a believer and any he asked me will looks like were losing on every front.

It looks like things are going in the wrong direction on every front, how we live, how do we respond I wrote back to him and I think to find this very helpful as I always want to encourage you and be a blessing to you and your own faith realistically not see your head in the sand not living in denial, not saying the things getting better is to getting worse, not wasting our time with all types of unnecessary pursuits want to do my best to be as honest and clear as I can speak and the truth and with that speaking encouragement 866-34-TRUTH 87884 if you have a comment the question that is the number to call Sears with fishermen wrote to me you have every reason seasoning. I'm sorry if this sounds defeatist.

I certainly would rather people continue fighting the good fight, no matter what.

But notice how the left controls the pace when it comes to the culture wars there.

Most of us focusing on debating and discussing the transgender issue almost completely forgetting about male homosexual practice of female homosexual practice there always outpacing us so it seems between this and the fact that our site has little to no disregard for the importance of language based on false premises and commit little or no regard the importance of lines based on false premises getting to the point where the only thing left to do is pray this cultural stuff is becoming way above the paygrade of human intervention.

Christians are all over the place and just about every important issue.

There is no such thing as a viable small government constitutional conservative movement anymore Republicans grow government, just like the Democrats, but only a slightly slower pace. I could be wrong about how I'm thinking, feelings expressed year, but I been pretty confident that for the past five or six years my eyes have been pretty wide open when it comes to these moral issues.

How should we be feeling. I think he's expressed what many people feel it. We stand up for this this this week we lose every front. We we say this is right and hold our ground and then that changes allow the hologram and the next thing that changes the next thing were bailing water and ended the boats going down one more we've run out of fingers and toes with which to do plug the holes in in the dam.

It's coming down will you do if we put our trust in the Republican Party to change things. There will be any better than the Democrats owing to his prey. The world is a step ahead of us always in the world to setting the agenda. How I respond to that how I respond as your radio voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution. I met with the pastor last week. He had traveled in from Denmark. He wanted to meet with me and Arabic speaking pastor. He is looking at issues of Bible translation and going into detail, but Arabic Bible translation and how to distinguish between the God of the Koran and the God of the Bible and he lives in Denmark now and we were speaking and he came in he had a little gift for me. We spent time together and when it was time for him to go. I answered all his questions and prayed with him. He said I'd like you to open the gift so I said sure I'll open it and it's it's right quotes its right to my left. It's immediately to my left on the edge of my my radial desk here in my studio and it's it's a blue bobble head saying it's in the Denmark flag which has a cross and it's this little figure and it's called the hop the missed and you be bouncing up and down and somehow he signifies optimism that is this is bouncing. He's the hop. The missed and I still leave that on my desk within the team members Clarissa like you don't need that on the desk in your living optimist. Anyway, how to be optimistic is a crazy around us to share my response to this email. We come back we will file the line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown get into the minor fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown on the luggage reminder. All right, 866-34-TRUTH. This quickly before I get back to my subject here. I did post this on Twitter two hours ago. Now she got her first roughly 250 votes. Why is the mainstream media so hostile trump Weiss. I gave four choices expressing what I think different views should be one these jerk people just think he's an idiot does not deserve to be in the White House, so they're attacking me deserves to expose their lives. Reason mainstream media so hostile. Donald Trump president trump excuse expose the lies fake news he's exposed. Three. This is Democrat versus Republican.

The White House press Corps. I saw the guys three Republicans before that was all Democrats seriously and for just other some other reason a choice and interestingly the voting thus far in my twitter followers would be largely conservative Christian in their viewpoint orientation, but many not and probably more Republican than Democrats running Republican, Democrat, and some approach trumpet not dramatically pro trump Debbie might take their first choice. He's a jerk got 12% of the vote. The second choice he expose the lies get 47% said by far the biggest response number three system covers Republican got 24% of the vote and number four other got 17% just for your information, 866-34-TRUTH okay so here's how I responded. Here's how I respond to the question about all right, everything seems to be going down around us and the world is always a step ahead of us and there's just no real reason to have hope that change can come in and all we should really be doing right now is praying.

What else can we do. So here's our respond. I said, you have every reason to feel this way. Look at things in the natural in looking at the overall progression years ago before I got involved in the culture wars I saw clearly that we have already lost the battle for this generation and it was too late for change barring divine intervention. In other words, Lazarus is not sick, Lazarus is dead, so what I was telling this young man is hey my default position before I got involved when got started to lay on my heart to get more involved in the culture wars. As I surveyed the scene. I realize this is over. We lost her. We lost her. I remember even even before I got this burden calling Nancy and I were sitting in a restaurant, Pensacola, Florida. So it's probably the early 2000's and there were two guys there. It was the weekend where gay men came in from all over America. Probably other countries as well for celebrations in Pensacola and partying, and whatever school to gay Riviera. During that time and these two guys were sitting there and they were sipping a drink from the same this this the same glass in one those big glasses that bring out with two straws for a couple so as a male male couple. They were they were sipping there and this I looked at each other.

We said yes today for this generation.

Within a few of the next generation. Now, many could say was way too late the next generation got to go after the generation after that. In other words, it was just a reminder to us as to how far things have come aside One St. was the big thing right but it just reminded us of how far things had come so when God laid on my heart to get involved and to help turn back the tide of homosexual activism. When I began to survey where things are at. When I began to look at the state of the nation.

When I began to see how pervasive moral cultural decline. Once that is this area, but many other areas in the others. I had my eyes on for years.

The state of the church and how much backsliding compromise that was in the church. A minute had that my heart since the 80s. So I knew already that the battle was lost, it's not. It's not like the New England Patriots down was 20 to 3 with a few minutes left in the third quarter the Super Bowl I meet to all outward observation. The game was over. The game was over and the patriots had no way of coming back that that's how it certainly looked outwardly. However, there was a possibility once during started scoring.

If your Atlanta face was a little nervous and, of course, and up tying and winning. But if there had been a minute left, and it was 28 three okay or five minutes left and it was 23.

This is can happen is not enough time that there's not enough minutes on the clock for them to do everything they would need to do. It can't happen. So it went. When God laid on my heart to get involved these issues under the natural. It was 28 three with with three minutes left in the game. Following it is no way in the natural. The tight deterrence I've I've not been looking for a natural solution from day one my faith, my conference is not based on natural solution. Not ever.

Not ever what I believe there are things that we do in the natural parents get involved in their kids schools, yes vote for political leader that's going stand for your values versus one is can work against your values sure I'm on for that we do what we can. We walk in love to a neighbor to try to win that person to the Lord, recognizing only God can save some only we do we know how to do yet someone who's in the neighborhood you get a particular meal and bring it over. Hey just want let you know we live down the street three houses down. Welcome to the neighborhood, such as that we can never do let what is now and then you hope that Aleta to to really be a blessing in their lives in and share in the Lord with them as well. Sure, I mean every year of life we do become a natural, but I'm just saying I and I never thought okay please change this law change this.

There was no the culture wars have been lost to deeply ready might my book coming out in September. Sabia sick. America really assesses where were at as a culture in general and homosexual.

She is a very small part of that the that book the larger picture warriors nation but then she was here, so we get back to it all is with God's help as it's all ultimately supernatural. So that's that's what II wrote first to the Xiamen years before years ago before I got involved. The culture was a saw clearly that we already lost the battle for this generation was too late for change barring divine intervention.

In other words, Lazarus is not sick, Lazarus is dead. That was my default starting point. I wrote it I felt God telling me to help turn back the tide against homosexual activism and I still believe God promise me that I'll be in the midst of a gospel based moral and cultural revolution. So my confidence rests wholly in the Lord, not society or even the church will I mean okay. Do you have any things in your life that you really really believe to the core of your being.

God promised you. I don't mean what's written in the Bible in terms of salvation through faith in Jesus and eternal life.

It will be with him forever and ever about maybe something may be your your your 25 or woman you're single, but you know that you know that you know that God is promised you a godly husband you have a big family and maybe some eight or nine. See, I went through that. I was 25 and signal and in my my son is I can happen. It's too late.

And all this in and it's been amazing. You know of a married 10 years. We have six kids and amazing marriage, amazing family. Goss kept his promises are there things deep deep deep down inside of you that to the core of your being. You believe God promised and when you walk with him when you pray when you spend time with them rather than the things become more distant they become more burning more true or real will in the fall issues in the spring of 1983 and deep intensive prayer.

I felt God shall be clearly speak to my heart that I would be involved with revival touch the whole world we'd been an outpouring.

Our local church for a few months so people dramatically touch I been reading about revival and praying about it and I felt God spoke, it's me. You can be in the midst revival at a news leader that touches the world and for years I carried in a crater fasted assault God so confirmations can happen.

I lost hope that it would have. Sure enough, God kept his word and I have the privilege of serving in the midst revival that touched millions of people from around America and around the world and continues to touch people. To this day and and and friends would come that knew me from Long Island rice to live in New York and an ace Mikey told us this was gonna happen. You told us you were gonna be in the midst, revival, touch, roll the sink on the promise that to me begin to promise me in the late 90s that that I would see and be in the midst of it as a leader, a gospel based moral cultural revolution that would help take back some of the ground that was taken from the 60s. I never knew and I don't know to this day how far it will go. I just know that there will be a holy pushback, a gospel based spirit and power of God pushback moral cultural pushback in the culture and I get to be in the midst of it all. As SC bits and pieces of it are the promises I'd be on national talk radio here we are ready for a fight. Here is so a great reason for my hope is that I believe God can you promise is what I see around me. I believe God is right that her plan and by the Expo line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown your voice and more cultural and spiritual revolution. Here again is Dr. Michael Brown for weight today. I've made a tail may deal workers day right better rights for employees, things like that.

Seattle worker loves $15 minimum wage until he loses his job given John an employee in Z pizza CL will still get a raise from $11-$50. Now, as part of a new law that takes effect. Today was happy to get a raise with Seattle's minimum wage when up to $11 an hour to beginning the month.

I deftly recognize that having money. More money is important, especially in cities expensive as this one. That didn't last long.

Unfortunately, he'll enjoy that bigger paycheck for a few more months of August is Boston city Nancy pizza, putting him and his co-11 coworkers out of work well. They probably raise the minimum wage you can't afford to stay in business. Yet the many challenges of life and economics right before I finish sharing what I wrote the two of this young man concerned about moral cultural decline looks like we just pushback with a toothpick and people come against us with tanks, this time of the culture not employment. People try to kill us.

Okay, but this is a great great month to stand with us friends if you appreciate our voice on the front lines of the culture wars. If you appreciate how we mix grace and truth together.

How were kind and respectful to those we differ with Ballston without compromise to get Emily for you emulate for you having hearts of compassion, backbones of steel.

This a great time to stand with us and help amplify my voice as we pray about increasing our radial reach and increasing our online reach and serving more and more people and equipping more and more people.

In short, in short this month.

When you stand with us is a torchbearer's monthly support review, something we've never done before you get all the benefits of a a new weekly mess monthly message from us and access to online courses, video and audio as well and then 50% discount online bookstore as well. As an insider prayer letter you get from the every month but we always said that a thank you gift to those who join us as torchbearer is a book that will edify and equip will reduce we've never done before the snow sells for hundred $20 is our school cultural engagement. These were over 40 hours of of teachings on key subjects by key leaders. Great great eye opening. Life's changing stuff is clear my throat here promote and on sexual purity on the freedom of speech in the Constitution. Cultural apologetics just great stuff. The series sells for hundred $20 on on audio and CD were setting that whole said she was or thank you gift when you become a torch for this month, helping us with a dollar a day or more for $30 or more per month so minutes.

It's four months value were just sewing back into you to equip and edify you.

So join us stand with us help amplify my voice. It's a good cause. It's good it's worth giving towards this coder asked Dr. Brown.org. You see, right on the home page you see coming up on the screen right on the homepage how you can stand with us or just click on donate to do it all right so here is the rest of what I wrote to this young man that the idea that society is going downhill there something we can do to change it yacht it could well be. I believe God show me. We will see change will see pushback how far it's gonna go how complete I don't know but I do believe we will see moral and cultural change. But I also said this. That being said, if society crumbles around us. I'll take that as an opportunity to preach the gospel more clearly and forcefully and yes I do believe that LGBT activism will defeat itself. But even if I'm wrong. The gospel will still try for the end and every day is an opportunity to pray affective prayers and to share the gospel with the loss right so there's a recent article and its size.

Surprisingly, it's good to shock some others, but it was that it it's on a PG media.com study finds Democrats the least tolerant of opposing views campuswide field survey was done on Dartmouth College. So liberal Ivy League school right 432 servants the students surveyed, 39% identified as Democrats excuse me, only 39% of students identified as Democrats said they would feel comfortable living with a Republican so sharing rooms Republican, 16% said they felt neutral about the post-racial 45% plurality said they felt uncomfortable. The tolerant Democrats whereas the Republican students of yeah sure overall insured share a room with somebody didn't agree with me know what's my point.

The intolerance that we face the intolerance of the so-called tolerant.

I believe in many ways it defeats itself that what you see happening the attack on free speech at different campuses in America that this is self-defeating and self-destructive, and that if we stand our ground and continue to do what's right and speak what's right and honor the Lord that those opposing us will overplay their handles opposing us will go to for those opposing us have have ways that are self-defeating.

Even the pro-life movement committed to families committed to having kids committed to raising kids in a God environment versus those that disparage marriage or those that that disparage the life of the unborn are our families will be larger and and will will in a generation have a greater impact in society than the ones that don't think marriage is an important riddle, believe in the parts of having kids and so on and so forth. I'm caricaturing both sides, but making a point. But even even if everything just goes down the tubes around us.

We preach the gospel will stop.

We preach the gospel. This same week we get the message out and fight the worse things get around us, the more urgently we preach to the way I hope I'm right about about change coming on certain levels in the gospel baseball culture revolution. If I'm dead wrong as I can to stop me.

One split-second from praying with fervor from seeking God with fervor sharing the gospel with the lost from taking the gospel to the nations for reaching out to the Jewish people. I live for that is not either/or. For me it's both and yes, as we plan to do by God's grace our friends at a time, but again, if you appreciate what were doing less. So back into this month become a torchbearer if you find a way to put aside a dollar a day or more per month. So you say I do 10 times easily.

Some like is your faith shall pay either way. If you can join with us. If you feel the Lord prompting you to.

I assure you that together were making a difference in many lives are being touched and you be thrilled and amazed the testimonies we get day and night coming our way, and I want to thank everyone of you who is one of our faithful torchbearers relisting right now. Thank you for the bottom my heart from her whole team. Thank you for being part of our team because were making eternal difference that only the Lord can make you were doing it together.

Rooms ever helped us with a one-time gift praise with us and supports us always, thank you thank you thank you and regardless of how dark your day might be a want to remind you, Jesus is Lord help
