All the world is going crazy all around us but we are going crazy here because we know the Lord, our heads are screwed on right were grounded in the word.

Let's do it today right here for the line of fire with your host activist all the international speaker and theologian Dr. Michael Brown your voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution Michael Brown is the director of the coalition of conscience and president of fire school of ministry get into the line of fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH. That's 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown friends to the line of fire broadcast. This is Michael Brown is my absolute delight to be with you today and everything will sound the same on your end. But from my and it is mind-boggling the difference. Our team has been working day and night for the better part of the last two weeks to transform our studio here, they've done a massive amount of work can't believe everything they got done in a short period of time with the as always with a squeezed budget and we now have a full-fledged studio for all kinds of video work and we hope to be getting out to you in many many different formats. In the days ahead. You will see with your own eyes.

The fruit of it so I'm in this brand-new experience and wants you to join with me soon enough you'll be able to experience it with me 866-34-TRUTH that's 866-34-TRUTH 87884 that is the number to call today if you'd like to get in on the discussion with me 866-34-TRUTH a lot of things to talk about today. Things having to do again with our president with the nation with the nations a lot of stuff going on in Israel right now that could get very very volatile that could lead to the shedding of a lot of blood and some updates just in terms of my sense of where things are at in the country and in the church. But first, I wrote about this last night. You can read it on my website instructor Brown.org Cascade your Brown.org Richard Dawkins, the famous atheist Richard Dawkins, the outspoken atheist Richard Dawkins, the fierce critic of the Bible of the Christian faith of Islam.

He was scheduled to speak at Berkeley University next month. Just a few weeks from them and the sponsors were a local radio station K PFA a progressive station every liberal station effect.

Dawkins said that when he was at Berkeley many many years ago, the two years that he was there. He enjoyed listening to the show on a regular basis.

They invited Dawkins to speak at Berkeley and then canceled out when they discovered that quote discovered became aware of the fact that people were hurt and offended by his tweets against Islam. They wanted and come in and do a science lecture in the science lecture only well bit of a problem. Somehow they didn't know that Dawkins has been a God basher for years and bashing the Christian faith for years and bashing the Bible for years or perhaps that was the issue with an amazing display of yet another extreme double standard. We see it once again with our own eyes. The progressive, the, the tolerant side right. The so-called progressives I should say an incredible double standard. No concern about bashing the Bible. No concern about bashing Christians. That's okay that's fair game.

Bash the Bible your hero but bash Muslims euros zero bash the Christian faith will cheer you bash Islam will jeer you they don't seem to have any problem with what he said about Islam excuse me about Christianity.

Over the years, this is any problem with that whatsoever. But don't insult Islam while Dawkins himself said what you know, probably just Christianity, but I can criticize Islam. Amazing file line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown get into the line of fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown thanks friends for joining us today on the line of fire. This is Michael Brown 866-348-7884 is the number to call so I would have no problem Richard Dawkins from I would have absolutely no problem whatsoever.

If this radio station solicit we want Dawkins to come in and talk about his new book, his science book.

We respect him as a scientist, but you know we just we we we fail to realize how offensive he is to so many people because of his attacks on the faith.

I think there's it. If if they said you know we we just don't think it's a good idea that he so volatile and controversial and we just wanted to talk about science but we know that when he comes of these other associations and we made a bad decision about inviting them as one thing, although he still thinks all nave little bit nave right that that you don't know that he has these views and you haven't factored them in in advance.

But what what I find all the more shocking and the reason I wrote about it is because the date they don't seem to have any issue with him bashing Christianity or bashing the Bible bashing the gospel then seem to have any issue with that whatsoever.

Here here's here's perhaps Dawkins most famous statement as Richard Dawkins most famous statement about the God of the Old Testament you ready an inmate may God bring them to repentance for speaking such words and in ignorance.

I hope it's immigrants piece of the God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction jealous and proud of it petty, unjust, unforgiving control freak and vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic leader, misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal fellow philia Sino pestilential Michael of regular minute megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully us from his God delusion book. Did K FPA or K PFA excuse the K PFA have any problem with that thought that they spoke of our Dawkins once wrote, isn't it always a form of child abuse to label children as possessors of beliefs that they are too young to have thought about the words parents teaching their children. Religion can be a dangerous thing that your guys have a problem with that, apparently not. This is what they said we had booked this event based entirely on his excellent new book talking successor book on science.

We didn't know he defendant hurt his tweets and other comments of Islam. So many people. Oh, so they certainly knew if they knew anything about Richard Dawkins. They they must certainly have known that he is perhaps the world's best known atheist, or the man best known as an atheist and as a basher of religious beliefs they must certainly have known that I can imagine what world they would live into not know that the only think that he was a dispassionate scientist and researcher or something like that and he came to world attention outside of the scientific community with his God delusion book.

That's right took that quote from his attack on the God of the Old Testament and by the way through nonbelieving eyes through unredeemed eyes through eyes that were basically reading the Bible without any insight any knowledge of who God is. I understand how you can have all these wrong views about him. I remember before I was a believer in my drug days going to going to the high holiday services with my with my families. Those required to we all go and I'd be reading the prayers of the prayerbook. I remember thinking my silica ego trip is this gonna whose he think he is supposed to say these words as my idiocy in my my foolishness, my lostness but from perspective of an unredeemed human being who does this guy think he is a monster that people may see it like that but for K PFA is what they sent K PFA does not endorse hurtful speech or K PFA emphatically supports serious free speech. We do not support abusive speech. We apologize for not having had broader knowledge of Dawkins views much earlier and what again got them to cancel amount. The fact that people were offended by his tweets about his long, so Dawkins said this when he wrote an open statement to the radio station.

I'm known as a frequent critic of Christianity and have never been D platform for that.

Why do you give Islam a free pass.

Why is it find to Chris criticize Christianity, but not as love.

This is Dawkins asking this question. I actually retreated one of his tweets is got what like to win 1/2 million followers on twitter again remains very very influential to many. Dawkins tweeted this out the other day London gay pride march. Police happy with Jesus's gay banners but and the law is gay banner and then he called the K PFA great hypocrisy so here it here. You had Council of of ex-Muslims right of ex-Muslims of Britain atheist freethinkers, humanists, ex-Muslims, taking a stand for reason, universal rights and secularism. They wanted to march in the London gay pride event and have a sign saying a lot is gay in the London police said no, you're not going to do that now that's offensive. We won't have that Jesus is gay no problem with that banner, does that expose the hypocrisy.

The double standard or does not, and it begs the question again, why, why is the left always siding with Islam. Why does the left have no problem bashing the Bible bashing conservative Christian beliefs. No problem doing that whatsoever.

But it's going to defend Islam at every turn, and Islam, at its core is far more conservative than the Bible is an Islamic's core it has a violent base against those that differ that ultimately does not come through Jesus and the New Testament here.

Here's some recent tweets of Dawkins April 2015. Here's a video of him exploding at BS in the Bible or this just from last month working post again God the most unpleasant character in all fiction that did none of these tweets concern K PFA appears not hear one commenter on twitter so this kill the infidel beheadings enslaving women taking children as wives, etc. are not abusive.

However, according however, accusing these disgusting polices which cut fact that the the beliefs of radical Islam they are they are not offensive. They are not abusive but to point them out as offensive abuse.

Reminds me of it reminds me of what I want to publish a queer thing happen to America in 2011 I went to publish queer thing happen to America and nobody would touch the three publisher subsequently apologized to me and and one or two publishers I spoke with in advance and we agreed it wasn't a good fit but nobody's woman to touch and they also the title has to change. Although I used to work. We are there because it's so widely used mainstream for what since the early 2000's cry for the straight Guy analysis old hat now an article in Associated Press 2003 squares of hipster mainstream so I used to because it was a nonoffensive term and I use it obsolete to convey a point, but everyone said Titleist change.

Most said the materials to controversial support for the things to actually happen in the society.

That's okay for people to do these things for gay pride. Parades have certain features that are acceptable for various things to be going out of schools business on it that is that is acceptable to talk about it is to controversial to expose it is to controversial. Dawkins wrote this I have indeed strongly condemned the misogyny, homophobia and violence of Islamism of which Muslims particular Muslim women are the prime victims. I make no apologies for denouncing those oppressive cruelties.

I will continue to do so.

So Dawkins has condemned what would be called the anti-progressive aspects of Islam, and for this he is D platform to his speech is canceled by the so-called progressive left. Once again, once again, the progressive left feels the need to defend Islam, whereas if Islam was ruling America, there would be no progressive left. It would be silenced that is reality. So again I have no problem if the radio station said you know we invited him to talk about science but realizes he's just too controversial and other issues you know offending religious people and sold to cancel amount but to say the tweets against Islam, Loretta Castleman exposes the double standard of the left and here again a rare time when I'll be saying to Richard Dawkins. I met I agree with you that you have been wrongly single out I think your tax on the Bible every week.

Your tax on Jesus and Christianity are very weak and easily dismissed and easily answered but did they have a good reason to cancel you out.

I say absolutely not, will be right back by the Expo line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown. Your voice is more cultural and spiritual revolution. Here again is Dr. Michael Brown welcome welcome the line of fire, 866663487884. In a few minutes I am going to be joined by Dr. Richard land, he is the president of Southern Evangelical seminary.

His he is a leading evangelical thinker and you will be hosting the annual apologetics conference at SCS in October. Can't wait for that conference. It's the premier apologetics conference in the country really in the world every year.

Rent-A-Center, Charlotte, North Carolina, will be speaking this year. In fact, the plenary session. I'm scheduled to bring is on my book saving a sick America prescription for moral and cultural transformation that I'll be doing a breakout session on the use of rabbinic literature, presenting Jesus the Messiah to Jewish people, 866-338-7884 okay I do want to talk more about some apologetics thoughts as well and give you an update on debate with a rabbi, but for the moment let's switch over to Israel and let me just give you a little background here when the modern state of Israel was birthed in 1948 the old city of Jerusalem and other parts of what is now under Israeli control were under Jordanian control or the control of others. Gaza Strip was under Egypt for a season of time and at your Egyptian control and tragically the Jordanian leaders, the Islamic leaders and others trashed holy sites trashed synagogues, trashed Jewish cemeteries and things like that and it was it was a very bad time was a Jewish people knew what was going on in sites that were holy and special to them well after the Six-Day War.

As a result of the Six-Day War of Jerusalem was reunited. It was restored as one now under sovereign Israeli control, as well as the quote West Bank and then Gaza Strip and by the way, to the extent that Israel had control over these areas. To the extent that Israel was leading in these areas. To that extent it was better for the Palestinians living there. To the extent they been under Islamic control is not been in their best interest in their their best welfare interest in educational interests in other interests just for the record, I know folks could dispute that this probably to the facts honestly right. So what Israel did, though. Is this instead of simply, we now have control of the entire temple monetary. We now have access to the hotel to the to the Western Wall, called by others the Wailing Wall we now have access to all of these places again and and yet now we're going to control the area keep the Muslims out, though, because the Jew, the Muslims kept the Jews out just couldn't pray at the wall.

The Western Wall, which is a sacred place or reminding them of the destruction of the Temple and a placement from which they pray and supplicate God for mercy.

Right.

So no, you can't. You can't have that right cannot access that now that Jews had control, rather than say Muslims can access the Al-Aqsa mosque. They gave Muslims access to the Al-Aqsa mosque and they prohibited others from praying in areas that would be considered sacred to Muslims rather than retaliating this look you can worship here all right and you can even have security control and things like that will work together but but will leave this largely in your hands and Palestinian Authority hands ultimately oversimplify, which is give you the picture of things that if if you go today right and as long as I know so's I can remember. If you go to pray at the wall as a Jew rent.

Whoever you have to go past metal detectors have soldiers you go past metal detectors okay is my view there every day. It does not matter if you must religious rabbi in the world you go through metal detector every day every day every day there are no metal detectors to go to lots of moss so last week to Israeli policeman Drews actually so not even Jewish two Druze policemen were killed shot and killed by Muslims going up to pray at the or Muslims that were going up to oxo mosque because of which Israeli security is cracked on said were were putting in metal objects. Remember there ready metal detectors for the Jews going to the wall. Those are ready. There those already in place. Okay, so they put metal detectors and place cameras and select register to take over security there. What is been an uproar in the Muslim world. Hamas calling for tens of thousands of demonstrators of a crisis now enjoyed with the Israeli Embassy there in an just it's a dangerous time and in the Muslim world. All you have to say is the mosque is being attacked. All you have to say is we don't have access to the model you just spread some lie or their Jews going into the mosque in the following and you will have at our price, you will have Palestinian teenagers getting so upset that on the way home from school.

They decided to stab and kill Jews about being hypotheticals is actually happen as these lies are spread many innocent lives could be lost both Israeli and Palestinian. Therefore, it is crucially important, crucially important that we pray for God's peace in the midst of it. I'm just telling you if you know something is about to explode if we were here in the states Avenue there was a there was a verdict in a trial and it was and when that verdict comes out of it goes a certain way to get to be riots in the streets, people going to be hurt innocent lives in a good beat beat be gluttonous and bloods can be spilled innocent lives taken.

We say we should pray will all the more were called to pray for the peace of Jerusalem of the well-being of Jerusalem because this is the place of final role conflict all the more should we be sensitive to this sale.

God have mercy restrain violence may truth prevail and not wise. Okay have you watched the trailer yet for saving a sick America. We keep getting comments like wow powerful Weeks. It's the line of fire with your host activist, author, international speaker and theologian Dr. Michael Brown voice of more cultural and spiritual revolution get into the line of fire now by calling 6643 here again is Dr. Michael Brown back friends to the line of fire.

Michael Brown delighted to be.

It's always a joy for me to speak with Dr. Richard land well known evangelical leader in America and for years now president of Southern Evangelical seminary, which means host of the annual apologetics conference which takes place in the middle of October, 13th and 14th of October.

I'll be speaking there. Many of my recent guest that we've had on the year will be speaking there through the premier apologetics conference in America which then makes it the premier politics conference in the world. It's always a delight to speak with Dr. land Richard welcome back to the broadcast. Thanks for joining us. Well, thank you hate maybe you could help me sort something out here. I know your Oxford grad. You're obviously very familiar with Prof. Richard Dawkins so he gets invited to speak at Berkeley invited by progressive radio station than the cancel amounts and we were unaware of his tweets about Islam being so offensive, so of course they got no problem with him attacking Christianity or the Bible, for we can tell, but he dare not attack Islam. This progressive station has to cancel out okay. Can you give me some insight as to why there is this strange union with the radical left and Islam. It seemed so contradictory, but that this gotta be some kind of rational explanation will similar okay it it it it is you everything that they object to us about his work and Islam. We we believe homosexuality is wrong with realtor homosexuals off the top of buildings or burn the steak that would Islam do know that if you Islam were to try first people that they would get rid of the progressive completed. It is entered totally antithetical to their worldview.

So basically all increments. Secondly, they don't see Islam as a threat states to their dominance of culture. They do see us as Christians who believe in absolute and historically have been the one who provided the moral compass for the United States and for the English-speaking world. They do see a threat. And so I think that's the main reason they just don't see that they are ignorant of this and I don't see Islam as a threat, but you it interesting in and again it is as you say semi rational. I was always struck when their marches against Israel. Israel was fighting against Hamas. There was a margin in Charlotte, North Carolina, and some of the demonstrators include feminists and gays and lesbians in the remarketing against Israel and forth. Thomas I know you better check on the status of women and other second-class citizens out of before that if you were going to try to install sharia law. The United States purporting to do it anywhere in the where even in a community 90% of before you put sharia law in place you would have to amend the Constitution to take out article 6 which prohibited a religious test for office pick up the First Amendment to the Constitution was that there be no governmental establishment of religion.

You actually got the 14th amendment, which guarantees equal protection of the law because women and non-Muslims do not have equal protection of the law and sharia and frankly it ends very clear in Constitution that though those things are forbidden in me where the federal level, but at the state level in the local level.

They are forbidden.

Yes, so that's where the that the conflict would have to be between Constitution and sharia as other leaders of said have been criticized for okay were just getting started. Dr. Richard land, we come back I will talk about the apologetics conference, but asked some broader questions of why is it so absently crucial for Christians today to know what they believe, be able to defend their faith have a biblical worldview.

Also, I get Dr. Lance take on some criticism of some evangelical leaders praying for president trump will be right back in the line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown get into the line of fire now by calling 86.

Here again is Dr. Michael Brown friends.

I would encourage you wherever you are in the United States to consider making the trip to Charlotte North Carolina in October for the annual so the Evangelical seminary apologetics conference front more conference.SCS.ED you sexy the 12th through the 14th is a special day for ladies started off so October 12-14 and and if it's not possible for you to make the trip. You can register to watch on line, and it's really a Who's Who of of leaders in the body thinking men and women giving presentations that are relevant time for Q&A interaction.

It's just it's a great great experience to be there with Dr. Richard land, who is the president of Southern Evangelical seminary and the host of the conference are Richard, do you know of any conference really like this been going on all these years. Now it's it's only the gold standard and start drinking from a fire hose to go in and be the best one ever. I don't know that I'm a film worker premier film, the very first time anybody to see the movie the God who speaks a feature-length documentary made by the American family Association is going to be premier at the conference on October 13 in the stomach with the film explores the evidence of the Bible's inspiration and authority for some of the most highly respected voices within evangelicalism. You know, if I had another life to live and I couldn't bear the ministry I've been a film director.

The reason is that the pictures with a thousand words. A moving picture for the hundred and I think that we as Christians need to utilize the visual media more than we do and I'm so grateful that that IFR has done this, you have a debate that would have to debate. Is there a God who speaks of a debate between Richard Howe and Dan Barker who is a cofounder of the freedom from religion foundation and then were going to have debate on God's word or man's word from where must apologetics begin a discussion between Dr. Richard Allen and Kim Hamm so it can be is going to be a great conference.

Of course Michael would be excited to be there. You know you're always rave reviews every time we have you come speak and were also delighted that you're doing becoming, to our God, sex and gender conference. If people are in the Charlotte area. August 5 Saturday, August 5 we got a God sex and gender conference going on and on campus and Michael Brown speaking to debate and were going to have a great time talking about a very timely issue and people can find out how to register for that to by going to SCS.edu and they can come to the concept of gender, to get a little foretaste of what the annual conference and sanctity. August this conference, the concentric, and I will be teaming up with your friends. We've spoken at conferences together that haven't come speak to the students at my school and he's been on the radio show host if we have been on his show this be the first time the unit side-by-side debate as to be to local ministers of well-educated local ministers who were given taking a gay affirming biblical position and and both will take the position that he was familiar with scripturally so the sex can be debate were thrilled that they that folks are willing to do this so so that's August 5. If you have any winter.

Charlotte is worth driving in a few hours for this. This one-day event. About 1236, 45, and the debate, but you are referencing takes place from five 5645. I'm looking forward to tremendous you and you will be announcing a lot on on radio and and getting word on social media as well okay I I got an email from an old friend of the family the other day and they said that they got 14-year-old daughter. This Gothic godly couple raising godly family. The got 14-year-old daughter. She she has just passed through thinking that she was a bisexual but she no longer does. However, she has the mentality that you shouldn't say certain things are right and wrong that we dispose to love every body and that we shouldn't make these judgments. How critical is it that parents have a biblical worldview that they can pass on to their kids because our our kids and grandkids are growing up in a very different world than we grew up.

They are growing up Christian culture bought a bag and you know if you really love people on the true count under the definition of love.

If you really love someone you going to tell them when they're engaged in destructive behavior that God does not condone and it is as clear as as a bell that God does not condone same-sex sexual activity... In if we were love people are going to tell the truth whether they are offended by are not truth tellers are often considered to be offensive.

And you know I was reading an article just two days ago from the economist and the newspaper and also from their time about the horrendous damage that it be done to young people to Great Britain and the United States because of the ubiquitous nature of hard-core pornography in this woman typically interviewed was a pediatrician and teenage girls were showing up in massive numbers in and not by some inner-city but in a very affluent county in in Britain will injuries physical injuries from unnatural sex that the boys that they got their sex, but education from hard-core pornography and they are insisting that these girls engaged in this activity in their showing up in the emergency room with physical damage as a result and you we need to as little one mother said I had to have toe curling conversations with my teenage boys about what's normal. It was not normal and what what utility should never ever expect a woman to do.

They cannot even Christians just decent moral people. There's no question that we have got to an age-appropriate way educate our children and all the other children that we can get our hands on about the difference between a biblical role. And why we believe in applicable rule. Why that is best for them, as opposed to a pagan world of the there's no other. If you can't you can't withdraw this this whole idea this this this nonsense about the Benedict option to withdraw. First of all, I don't know how that's how you square withdrawing from the culture that Christians are going to close community how you square that with Jesus command to be the salt of the earth.

A lot of the world. I don't secondly they are underestimating their enemies. The currently modern-day Visigoths will not leave us in our monastery still come after us and our monasteries can't take our children away from even the elder claiming that if we teach them what the Bible said were making the mentally ill and that we should be declared unfit parents.

In fact, the book that I have coming out savings sick America that will be doing a plenary session right after it comes out at the apologetics conference. I wrote it before I knew of Roger Harris Benedict option you little bit of what he was saying, of course, agree with him about the urgency of the hour abut a my book is the exact opposite savings sick Americans is the exact opposite of the penitent option, but it's saying not by a theocracy, not by Rick clergy ruling the nation and enforcing religious beliefs but by God's people living by God's word. We will demonstrate that God's ways are ways of life that God's ways are better know right now in England you have secular psychology saying that we are seeing a tripling of kids coming into clinics saying the transgender and the secular psychologist saying it must be because of the messaging that they're getting in school right right you. I agree with you. You Benedict option has the right, the right diagnosis, but their prescription stakes yes or the prescription is to be salt and light and you know better. Things are barely worse were the first Army Rome was a thoroughly and completely place and are first century Christian ancestors came in there and they turned their world upside down, but didn't do it by going to monasteries, they, they, and they didn't do it by looking for convenient option or still good message, nor was their model. Let's make Rome great again.

They wanted to extend the kingdom right when we come back on the one it asked you again about the intersection of faith and politics here in America is, as you've been a leader on the front lines. These many years. Friends once more go to conference.SES.edu conference.SES.ED you register today conference October 12, 13th and 14th at Calvary church. This is right outside of Charlotte North Carolina. You can hear Dr. Norman Geisler Gary however Mr. J.P. Morgan K-1 Wallace rustic look at how Frank turned yours truly met many others. Again, the premier world premier of the film God who speaks conference.SES study. The line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution.

Here again is Dr. Michael Brown thanks friends for joining us on the line for your voice sanity and spiritual clarity might special guest Dr. land. It's always a delight to talk, I feel I could go on any of a thousand directions without any preparation of his and then he'll have some biblical wisdom, and some life experience. Probably an anecdote as well. The president of Southern Evangelical seminary known in many other ways as a leading evangelical nation. Richard recently you responded to something I would an article about it as well, but a a minister national leader with the NAACP, Rev. Dr. William Barber was very critical of evangelical leaders who gather to pray for Pres. Trump actually went even in the White House to pray for him. He found out they were there and fight them in the springtime of them and then surrounded and laid hands on him and prayed over him and he was critical he he called it theological malpractice bordering on heresy said it was like siding with those that crush the poor and and I I was shocked that he would say those things especially is supportive say candidate Hillary Clinton at the Democratic national convention spoke enthusiastically on her behalf and that she represents. Our beliefs are made here. You get the murderous pro-abortion policy of Hillary Clinton.

He supporting that criticizing evangelicals for praying of the present what what you make of that. Well I was stunned.

I was trying to figure out what part of praying for all of those who are in authority. He didn't understand were commanded to pray for all those who are in authority, which would declare the present and I pray the same prayer for the president that I pray for Pres. Obama every day which is the goblet get wisdom, get God's direction, keep them safe. And you know that the I find hypocrisy on the blind spot of people by River Barber to be somewhat amazing. He said well you know that the policies to punish the poor will, how about abortion on demand, leading cause of death among African-American. This country is important and I guarantee you the brother Barber never says a word about what is in effect high-tech lynching in the womb and in the idea that say it is objections were free repeal Obama care place was come care disabilities implications and I don't.

I'm no expert here. I don't know what's best. I don't believe that either president intentionally said I want to kill Americans in announcements with healthcare and they they have different approaches and different philosophies on it that's going to play out and both have strengths and weaknesses and as a whole of the debate to turn a blind eye to the horrors of abortion in the aggressive policies of Pres. Obama and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton and then to attack Pres. Trump and then evangelicals for praying for him. They weren't even endorsing they were they were praying for him. My right and we were there for a workday and we spent the whole day talking with the White House staff and and and same thing to them about things that they need to they were doing. I spoke up for the Chaldean Christian practicality and criticism are being deported to the present got something to stop this and we talked about the need to the present, to fulfill his promises to re-energize the inner city and that we even suggested you present how to use his considerable influence to get someone like Ford to build a huge auto plant cell Chicago and began to give young people there hope by giving them job training and jobs in an a for tractor weight. We were not rubberstamps all over there to give our critique and to give our our perspective and we did so all day long and as you said the president found that we were over there in and asked us to come over so we got up, walked across the street from the Eisenhower executive office building, and were ushered into the Oval Office and he asked how things were going in and harm our meetings going. Then we asked we could pray for me.

Most of us around his desk. It's an absolutely SOS as you've been this close to me and again it's so important that folks understand that evangelical leaders are you are using their influence for good in there there there not just rubberstamping things with the president and we have other guests on the been close to Pres. Trump that the spoke very plainly to him and about the gospel and and repentance and things like that but went when we look at our our role here in society and now you're getting different was getting access to to the president. We had our criticisms.

We had our our strong reservations about Pres. Trump. I was very outspoken against him as and when he was same as my last choice yeah but of the Republican candidate.

My last choice and I told him so. Before I jointly asked me about jointly advisory board as it will be happy to do so.

Understand the troubled bilateral now that being said, do you see as issue with him.

We discussed about two minutes. Do you see either a fear of God or respect for the Christian faith or respect for these Christian leaders any anything positive that that you see being with him. Why do first of all, a very different person in private that is property just is quiet, a good listener. He just is different and I have seen what I perceived to be some greater sensitivity, greater knowledge, at least about evangelicals and about evangelical faith. My perspective is, he seems fascinated by evangelicals. I don't think he was ever around. Many people like us until he ran for president, he developed a very close relationship with VP Pentz who I've known for over almost 20 years and worked with closely.

When I was working in Washington. I can tell you, VP. If the 24 karat gold evangelical born-again believer and I can't think of anyone I would rather have in a close relationship with Pres. Trump and prayed with him on important decisions told the president place going to make an important decision.

They want VP, private, amazing. Just amazing. Let's that's encouraging to hear and listen the greatest reports I could've imagined.

When Pres. Obama's or president was that God was working in his life and that he was showing great respect for the words of Christian leaders and wanted to to pray with evangelicals that would've been good news. So for the critics of Pres. Trump. If you are a good report.

Let that be good news because were all praying for the same goal by Richard one more plug for the conference. What can folks expect what kind of subjects are covered will work on the cover to cover. The God sex and gender thing to cover the evidences for the Christian faith were going to talk about the evidence for God created the universe were going to talk about, talk about them. The heritage of the 500 year listed for 500 year the Reformation and that everything is based upon God's inerrant and infallible word to us and by the way if they register before August 1 to get an early bird discount which will save them some money and also I just want to once again I'm going to if you're in the Charlotte area you're missing something if you don't come to this God sex and gender conference Which Is Going Take Pl., August fifth at Southern Evangelical seminary here in Charlotte and from 1230 to 645 and if you're interested in knowing more about Southern Evangelical seminary and you might want to be a student here online or otherwise didn't count didn't register for our open house, which is not that place. 930 to 12. Prior to the God sex gender friends all that information is SCS.see you, Richard land hey it's a great pleasure to speak with you sir look forward to seeing you soon and blessed. All right all the world is going crazy all around us, but when I going crazy here because we know the Lord, our head screwed on right were grounded in the word. Let's do it today right here it's time for the line of fire with your host activist and author, international speaker and theologian Dr. Michael Brown your voice of moral cultural and spiritual revolution Michael Brown is the director of the coalition of conscience and president of fire school of ministry get into the line of fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH.

That's 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown. I want to give you a word of encouragement as we start the week to gather friends you have nothing to fear.

If you have given your life to God and his truth, all you may go through difficult times. You may go through challenging situations you may find your faith tested, but I want to assure you the truth set you free. The truth is unbreakable.

The truth is unshakable truth is immovable and if you have given yourself to the one who himself is the truth, you can rest secure Michael Brown. Welcome to the line of fire today, 86634. Truth is number to call little bit later in the broadcast were going to be bringing on a special guest with some very interesting insights about our nation but I want to talk you first about some broader issues. Also go to Astor to Brown.org and check out the latest videos that are up there.

Part three my final response to counter missionary Rabbi Yisrael Blumenthal is now up if you got Jewish friends go there. Encourage them to watch.

I think it's a tremendously I opening a debate and I think you'll see where the truth lies. As you watch that video is it God's will for every sick person to be healed of video on who is the real Mohammed all listed and asked Dr. Brown the Lord my latest article progressives band. Richard Dawkins from speaking and further expose their hypocrisy all there and asked Dr. Brown.org but before I I get into some specifics. I just want to speak to you broadly for a minute right if you think that maybe what you believe is wrong. It's very difficult to stand in and if you start questioning things. Is there really a God is the Bible really true are the specific things I believe about Jesus real. It's tormenting it's painful, it's difficult.

This is not something I've struggled with much in 45 years as a believer, but I had a few very intense challenges and trials through rabbis learned rabbis men that were very nice and kind, but challenge me and challenge me hard and challenge me before I had a lot of the answers that I have now and a lot of the knowledge that I have now and and then just constant engagement with those who don't believe just just a few times over the years I've been hit and it's been intense short season, but intense.

I was talking to another friend about that and what I went through this very severe 24 hour trial one time of doubts this person said to me, that's my life normally for so so I'm not say anything in a critical condition we know God for bid God for Ginger like that if you're tormented by doubt your your maybe and in college, university, and and you're getting ready to go back to school and you're dreading seasick ma'am I professes a channel, but I believe I know what to do because I want to shut off my mind. I was shuttled my mind and and and it just ignore everything in it, shuttled by Bremen and just close my eyes had went on at the scene myself but but when I start of these doubts and so painful hate hear someone encourage if you really seek answers with an honest heart before God and if you say father God, if you really there which ever way the evidence goes which ever way the evidence goes. I am determined to follow friend will end up rejoicing in your faith because you see the Bible is real God is real.

Jesus is real faith is not in vain.

Be encouraged. There are solid answers all the questions you have an error on the line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown your voice of more cultural and spiritual revolution.

Here again is Dr. Michael Brown also want to talk about is the trump in a moment you and was I wrong about some of my concerns and warnings were talk about that as well broadcast. If you like to in 866-34-TRUTH 87884 that is the number two call before I get into any of that. But let me go back to my word of encouragement to you last hour just had with me.

Dr. Richard land, president of Southern Evangelical seminary and if you know about Declan's background. He has a Dr. of philosophy degree from Oxford University.

All right. And previously studied at Princeton University literacies. He's a he's a learned man and he's a thinking man don't get into Oxford, and unless you have certain academic background and credentials and you don't get a Dr. of philosophy from Oxford and in less you are a capable intellectual individual and almost everyone I will be speaking at the apologetics conference in in Charlotte, North Carolina, October 12-14. Almost all of them have advanced degrees from highly recognized universities were seminaries and others are tremendously well proven as as great critical thinkers in their field and their education comes in other ways outside of the formal university setting, and what we all have in common is were not afraid to be challenged in our faith. We don't think that the only way to preserve faith is to stick our heads in the sand.

We don't think that the only way to hold to our views is to do so in in obscurity without any opposition or any challenge you know it. If you have a weak spot you try to hide it. Let's say that you have a baseball team and you've got a guy that's a good fielder and and he's your best choice right now see the play third base, but he is. He's a real real bad hitter when you put them towards the end of the lineup so you guess let's hits and the thought is that that the greater production is coming from earlier in your lineup if if you have a quarterback in football that has a particular weakness. He has certain strengths but as a particular weakness you try to surround him with teammates that cover for that weakness and some people think that's how it is with their faith that they they have to kind of cover you know because you can't really expose it to scrutiny.

We have to, you just we have our beliefs here and in the public square week.

We shy away from these things because we don't want them to be exposed.

We don't want anyone to discover the weakness no I say come and look come and investigate. I would welcome the challenge. I welcome the questions that our website is asked Dr. Brown.org are our radio show is live call and so people can call it were my favorite days of the week is Friday right come in and whatever people can*and if if I have a regret on radio. If there's something that if I could press a button and change it would be that more people would call who differ with me. More people would call to challenge you might say, will you control the mic or your debater listen just people calling and raising critical questions and even if they don't get to win a debate just raising the questions are saying. I think you're wrong about this. I differ with you on that. I wish we had more of that.

Do you know that when I am invited to a college campus and other campuses. Freight frankly are free to invite me because is too much flak is not because I am some militant, ugly, spirited person, but it's because we talk about issues that some thinkers are too sensitive to talk about but when I'm invited. For example, when I was invited to do a lecture at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem by some Christian students there the international building at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem when I was invited to do it. I said can we do a debate instead.

Can we find a professor you got some of the most learned men on the planet teaching or can we find Prof. Glenn Teva from a debate or maybe a rabbi, you got a massive community of religious Jews and learned rabbis there. Israel may be a rabbi can can we do that and when no one that they contacted was willing to do that.

I did a lecture but then insisted that we had open my Q&A afterwards because I want my views to be challenged and I want to be able to challenge those who differ listen, I did debate with a rabbi in Atlanta area in March and to his credit he he step forward on short notice. He did some counter missionary work is a community rabbi option learned in in Judaism and the gym. I was supposed to debate was sick. His doctors orders that he he couldn't, debate, and so I debated this other rabbi.

He step forward on short notice and I give them credit for doing that. And obviously he's able argue the points of the whole stupid through the whole night.

I could send you have rebutted anything upset. I raise this verse in this verse in this verse in this verse in this verse you have rebutted a risk that you watch it if if you if you don't believe me just just watch all right and and out you'll see for your self okay watch go Esther to Brown.org to search for Fry tag FRE I T AG Freitag and I appreciate rabbi Freitag stepping forward on short notice and giving such a passionate presentation for what he believes so you'll see through the whole night. I keep saying you're not a I raise this verse.

This verse, this verse you haven't answered you have an answer. You have an answer as night goes on. He said I don't have time to to answer all it with with just a few minutes left.

He said look I don't have time to answer these things will actually have a lot of time to answer because he had rebuttal time and and back-and-forth time Q&A into wheat we had we had enough time. There is plenty of time for him to answer any never answer then at the end he said if you have questions about inverses come and see me. I'll talk with what he has every right to do that but I take exception to not addressing the public issues publicly.

If you have the answers publicly bring them publicly write what you think of me that that I am doing a debate with someone about the authority of Scripture. The inspiration of Scripture and the whole night there bashing the Bible and showing why they believe it can't be inspired. Why can't be the word of God and that I keep raising other arguments against the but I never respond to any of the points they made, and then again I said hey if you have questions about anything he race you can come see me privately is a Dr. Brown. If you have the answers bring them publicly. So what when I'm asked to speak on a college campus I'm asked to do a talk about cultural issues with the Bible and homosexuality.

II say can we do debate can you get someone from the other side. Why because I want people to hear the best shot that the other person can give.

And I want that to be presented alongside with what I present, so that people can then evaluate these things for them selves. Let me share something interesting with you from John chapter 3 it's familiar passage but but I think we often focus on that for God so loved the world section because that that is so well known to us that that we often forget the rest of the passage.

So let's take a look and John chapter 3 and let's listen to these words.

These are either the words of Jesus speaking to Nicodemus -dependent will read and the quote does he continue speaking through verse 16 and following his many believe or are these the words of John the author of the Gospel of John and is he now speaking these words. Either way, we know the Scripture for God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world but not of the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he is not believed in the name of the only son of God and this is the judgment that light has come into the world and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light list is works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.

When you do, it's true.

You come to the light because you got nothing to hide this if if I had a porn problem and I was constantly on my computer on on porn sites God for bid of her.

I was at a gambling addiction and I was secretly going these websites and try to do the most hidden way that I couldn't, and gambling money trying to get money in one account with without Nancy seeing at stake at whatever it is, and gambling. II would have a miserable conscience and and I will I would be guilt ridden because ID and sin against God or resisting the Holy Spirit and I will if my computers, I would want you near it, etc. back II got us an email if you cannot use your computer from an unknown know that that will work.

Now I want, but when you clean like I usually do. Sure, Anna, Dick, because there's no problem. Glad you mind if we put accountability. We do this for everyone. Our office pretty accountability software onto what you know in case you once I get so that's how with my faith. Go ahead and examine it. I got nothing. A high nothing.

I'm ashamed of letting unembarrassed of will be right back. Her plan and it's the line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown into the line of fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown thanks for joining us on the line of fire Michael Brown here 866-34-TRUTH 78 so catch up on something going on in terms of apologetics in terms of speaking the truth and I just feel so strongly to encourage you that were on the side of truth that were on the side of life.

Someone was interacting with. Yesterday a guy who's police gone totally off the deep end and he said to me you know you look at statistics in 60 to 70 million people have left the church, and I don't like the way things are presented about gay and lesbian issues listed actually if you dig deeper into the numbers, it's not the citizens never happen is not to say that that there are people who leave conservative churches because they don't like the moral stance of those conservative churches are with these churches teach on unguarded sexuality and marriage and things like that but is if you dig deeper in the numbers.

You'll find this that overwhelmingly it's the liberal churches that are bleeding overwhelmingly it's the churches that are no longer teaching the authority of Scripture's the ones that are being like the world when the church becomes like the world it will lose its committed members because people are not part of the church to be part of the world to stand the world for that matter so. So, in point of fact, you will see with great great consistency. The churches that are bleeding bleeding members in America are those that espouse liberal views of the Bible and don't hold to the authority of Scripture and embrace abortion on demand and embrace redefining of marriage and things like that that's what you will find with great consistency. Where's the churches that are preaching the gospel and holding to the authority of Scripture believe in the power of the Spirit by a large, those are the ones that are thriving and growing with the least holding much steadier and around the world. Those are the ones that are thriving and growing and multiplying absolute been in there myself seen on an eyewitness to it and and ice.

I see what's happening with churches one church in the little bit outside of Nashville. Pastor says that there is now affirming same-sex quote marriage and this is the new message of grace and so on and so forth and what's happened steadily their attendance is down, and then even issues.

I think the pastor would committed adultery.

Previously, I recall the story committed adultery previously married woman is adultery within divorces that woman recently and now that they still have to move to a new area move more into the city of Nashville where things are more progressive.

The fact of the matter is the message we have is a message of life. People say the blood of gay teenagers on your hands because her message is a heavy accusation.

I tell them the message we preach brings life and hope and deliverance and I can gather, I can guarantee you, you get to a large youth conference right GE speak to say several thousand young people say through teenage up to college-age and and you asked them how many of you have been delivered from depression or suicide attempts since you've come to faith in Jesus. You'll be shocked how many will raise their hands because the message of Jesus is a message that gives life. When a husband and wife honor God and honor one another. They will have a blessed relationship and they will have a blessed family or does he mean everything's perfect. Additionally, you will have a kid that gets in trouble what it means is just like you look at the book of Proverbs. If you live by the wisdom of Proverbs F.

If the whole society. Let's say you had a million people in society a living by the book of Proverbs in a million people and society be casting off the book of Proverbs. I can guarantee that the lifespan and quality of life of society eight would be far better than the lifespan and quality of life of society be guaranteed as surely as God is God.

It's it's one of the strong points I make in my book saving is sick. America prescription for moral and cultural transformation that God's ways are ways of life that God's waste waste was up. We don't want to establish a theocracy here. Our goal is not to establish a theocracy. Our goal is not to take over the society and have clergy ruling the society priestly class room.

The society and enforcing the Bible on the public and and if you don't go to church on Sunday. You get to be whipped and flawed know God for bid that's that's not what were seeking to do and and if you if you commit adultery you will be put to death know God for bid that's not what were trying to do. We're trying to do in this Democratic Republic is preserve our freedoms preserve the fundamental freedoms and liberties that were given to us because of the biblical worldview of so many of our founding fathers, even those who are not Christian. Starbucks were vague biblical worldview, probably the many Christians today and not only so we want to advocate for what we believe is the best way of life. The best for justice the best for mercy the best for families the best for individuals the best for our security so we use the democratic process to advocate for these things. Just like atheists and liberal Christians and Muslims and Jews in unison and feminists and gay activists. They can all advocate for their views. This is the Democratic Republic in which we live and we wanted challenge everyone that does believe live this out in saving a sick America. I'll go through issue after issue, not just abortion but are our death culture unit celebrates that the walking dead. Kind of thing on RRR death culture. How do we change that and we change that within the household and family about our education system so much of it messed up. How do we go about fixing it whereabouts or severe indebtedness.

What about our obesity limit all the sexual immorality I say God's word has holistic life-giving answers to every one of these questions and issues, and if we will live by the truth. We will see transformation if we will live this out as families is that's the biggest issue in America.

The light is not shining brightly. The problem is not so much the darkness. It's the lack of light if we begin to shine more brightly, and then give ourselves to prayer and the great commission winning the lost preaching the gospel sharing the hope of eternal life, calling for repentance and new life forgiveness of sins and Jesus if will do that with prayer. America can be turned around and listen.

How would you live otherwise we throw the towel boy told his back foot. No wonder said no. We live godly lives right we can swim against the tide.

Anyway, when it be great if we could actually reverse the tide.

Wouldn't that be amazing.

All right. Another reminder if you have not yet downloaded the opening chapter and the intro to saving a sick America.

Trust me, you'll be engaged will be drawn in as you do go to saving a sick America.com saving a sick America.com when you are there.

All too often in compromise.

There is a new book by Chris Buskirk and Seth Watson, American greatness, how conservatism Inc. conservatism Inc. missed the 2016 election and what the DC establishment needs to learn William Bennett highly respected Christian thinker here in America said this in the forward, few analysts or experts saw this coming, or sought is even remotely possible. Most thought it impossible will many Democrats and a few Republican consultants are still scratching their heads. It is safe to say that the some of us at least coming from presidency was no surprise. This book explains why I'm joined now by one of the authors, Chris Buskirk, Chris thanks much for joining us on the line of fire today are quite positive.

Thank you very much for having all right help me understand in a nutshell, what is the argument and thesis of your book. The argument of order in the book really broken down part out of the right go wrong in America. What we do.

The fact that that way you lost a friend. The book, because what we were struck by a very reluctant back and I might with my co-author on the portal were struck by is that all of the all the pandit magazine for nonprofit think tank near the one that was respected and looked up to read up all the years of conservative people on the right of the of the people have more in common with the new Republic with the Washington Post nation with all left wearing out during the presidential election afflicted with your average rank-and-file Republican conservative voter and with it will really struck by the Bible. Something happened here. Something is really changing the country when financial review is vehemently again Republican and a good Wednesday when the book when good rank-and-file voters are vehemently in favor of her mom Donald Trump getting out and having rally for five or 10 or 15. 20,000 people sometimes, and yet the up the powers that be and what we call conservatism, Inc. I took anything to get the mind around it were interested in the question because we believe that conservative. I think we have been conservative along find the best hope of the country comes from the right of the come from below the left. The problem, and so when we got a part of the better part of the right an influential part of the right are the right that the controlled magazine microphone when they are opposed to Canada that has an agenda that is near and dear to the hearts of so many voters to be immigration or cradle farm policy, something happened. Something changed. Want to figure out why that that was thought that was part of it.

On the other part was more practical and having bearable.

Here's what went wrong with what we do about it. How do we expect and that's really kind of the really overcoming public book you will be voted in their outworking of people already, because there's a lot more to be done by friends. We are just scratching the surface now and were going to dig in more Chris Buskirk. He's the co-author of American greatness, how conservatism Inc. missed the 2016 election with the DC establishment needs to learn a Chris if you can unpack and 30 seconds the DC establishment.

Give me your your twitter definition of the hundred 40 characters good beneath the establishment week we will we talk about conservative America favor better recall the archipelago of journal and are mostly nonprofit think tank that comprise the rep basically the permanent professional conservative movement. It is magazine thing. Thank you for nonprofit and primarily that they thought couple and spend about $500 million a year, and of the complaint you have is getting a whole lot more that I got a jump in the night back was Chris Buskirk. You both, American greatness, conservatism, Inc. missed the 2016 election DC establishment needs to learn to file the line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown get into the minor fire now by calling 866-34-TRUTH here again is Dr. Michael Brown thanks for joining us on line of fire. Michael American greatness.

Chris my perspective on the elections came from the viewpoint of a biblical conservative sigh would be identified with the quote religious right if if I was going to be put in it in a category and I actually endorsed Sen. Ted Cruz because of it was looking for someone that held to my moral values about family and and other things like that and stood with Israel things are important to me.

That also thought to be a good leader but to me we needed someone that would be anti-establishment because I I'd didn't have any hope in the Republican establishment are certainly the Democratic establishment.

So I sought to Cruz now take on the Washington cartel that he could be someone I could endorse for so I never endorsed a candidate and I had real problems with Donald Trump.

I'd severe problems and how could he be the board leader we want how to be a concert is a really true conservative a certain point, so I asked myself why do so many people like a camping that they're all wrong. It can't be that they're all idiots, that there must be buttons that he's pushing and I did ultimately vote for him with with some reservations and certainly she's doing better than expected. Other ways the reservations remain. But II looked at myself. I thought, I'm honestly missing something because he's getting all these people coming is not just getting to know some angry redneck that was to go around killing every body and some stereotypical and a white redneck voter. He sees heading some buttons. So what what did we miss. I say we broadly I'm not part of conservatism Inc. but what did we miss that the American people got the event that the great question of the girder is a great way to look at the back of your life. Might my experience was probably somewhat more if you're a boy boy came to Trump early.

Basically at the beginning of August 2013, but with the public from our perspective because very interested in Veracruz of campaign. But I'll tell you, and I think it may be answer your question a bit of what turned me around or argue. I will pay that well I'll play what open my eyes locked Donald Trump originally was one of my brothers life is the position he is not particularly political belly of the conservative vote almost but not you don't do it for living in a combative hobby or anything you felt like you got a wipe 11 of a practice to Spain in the family and all that sort of thing. 50 but something to me in a family dinner about Donald Trump that I will always resonate with me. You know, I know not the political but there's something about the way Donald Trump talks about America because I think about form the primary know we were I'm in Arizona. We were a month away from my mom work in the primary. At that point and I expect myself what you did. I figure there's got to be something here because until that point I honestly hadn't given Donald Trump that much thought and then I did like tell people to do all the time.

Which of the boat with me about what people say about teleprompters with the Donald Trump make a judgment based on that, but what I looking for some of the speeches but with all the provisional and that's when the lightbulb went off for me it if not trump the persona there's a bit of that because I think I think Republican conservatives wanted somebody who would expect hard against the age somebody could push back hard against the pipe that are have been feeling like there's there while watching over us and almost walking about the fun of it for like a fighter but that it was more than that of the agenda felt was the north and immigration policy. The people think of as being price for the benefit of trade policy.

The people think of as being for work or if our policy that the America first think about you know is this good for America first. Those are things that unfortunately had I think that electing in a lot of Republican platforms and we have 17 candidate in the primaries and nobody seemed to be able to get out of the way and talk about these things in a very, very clear place where the way the panel prompted an partially of the one about something we talked about in the book partially that because people on the left have just been just drunk and they breathe in.

A lot of the language of the left the will of the people in the right in front been built. The language of the laughter taken in from of the criticisms which I think are in trust. The criticisms of America even know it. And so there's that you know Donald Trump is America first fee with some types of conservatives little little bit of embarrassment that I don't think you should be.

I think that your good countries done more good more people than any country ever on the face of the planet. We should be proud of that for in a certain way, but we should also think that of all responsibility for how do we continue that. How do we have that we stand on the shoulders of the people there before and how we pass on that thing like a door so there exists there so much that you said there and look at the table of contents in your book American greatness that is so much I want probe and explore more. But but this some of what you just talked about. I think ties in with chapter 4 the conservative Stockholm syndrome. When conservatives adapt to and accept the critiques of the left salt under Pres. Obama. There was a lot of self-criticism and even apologies to other nations and understand America has been perfect in. I respect that. But you don't really expect that from the president to supposed to be encouraging your strong nation and national pride and things like that but to certain extent were we didn't realize were beating ourselves up all the time, evil America bad America bad history, bad country, so that when president trumps is America first.

We now here it is in for some hyper nationalism is inferencing of the revival of some kind of are you and supremacy all the strings what every president should do of course have every every leader in every country after Petrone country first. All of your people that elect will go over think they recall America for about that the reference to a movement in the in the late 30s of the early 40 really know about your 200 people in the country thought that would Donald Trump let America first and what people think of when Balcom talked about America first putting America first epic complicated if it is a question of priority of one of where the country where more than a certain way is how he feels the role of government that we you don't. If it is dropped. America first when he's doing his job or his job for himself and somehow locked the first among equals president of the world and not American but think that I've tried that we tried to be the policeman for the world. It is not always work out well for you for our regular thing to go back and you know what were better to do. We put this right.

It's hard enough to run one large pre-prosperous country went without trying to run a bunch of Victoire knitting at home. What this country right. That way we can be an example to other countries.

Rather than trying to go to other countries and opposed these ideas or the institutions on other people may or may not want to be a family not be ready for them at what you know what, let's keep our own Lockley moral motto that makes abatement that I think that resume with a lot of people may hear Donald Trump talk about that, and yet we've got that we got heard of intellectuals who your America first.

You're right, they say that that comes to nationalistic.

I absent the front of his people face-to-face with an irrevocably applicable Donald Trump of America. First you don't like that what you're supposed to say America second I get the bike spare nobody like that never occurred and the other thing is, as America goes, so much of the world goes in a strong America is is good for the whole world in America tends to have a giving mentality and a helping mentality. Most Americans do as well so was were stronger we can be helped to the rest of the world and in fact maybe just get into this and in two minutes before this next break chapter 8 in your book American greatness actually chapter 7 utopianism how the American Revolution was superior to the French Revolution which about the very foundations of our nation being better than say the foundations of modern France because of the differences in our revolution. So how would you unpack that well. I know it on the program for the breaker trip. In short, the American Revolution was it was quite different from the front the American Revolution really grew on it. It grew onto Main foundations Jerusalem.

An active role in the Bible and accrue on on the Greeks the way that they put together where to put together the original Republic Greek democracy, but with with obviously your with a with a strong Christian background because of the influence of Christianity on the foundation of the country. So there's an understanding of mankind, of all mankind being made in the image of God being creatures and that that endowed the oath of the language diversity of being endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable right back. That was the foundation for the American experiment in free government frontrunners is very different. The French foundation has the have the progress of both optical store stores the fan that whatever whatever is next.

Whatever.

Something old something better in the future and we just need to get go on to this glorious future.

We don't know quite what it is that we know that if we just keep it weekly for doing what were doing is going to get better and about the so-called radical liberal liberation of the of the felt and that is antithetical to what America is all about were about know about a big notion of right and wrong that is based upon the common community that will have his preachers of preachers made in government branch of the philosophical underpinning you might know the Enlightenment underpinning of the French Revolution are quite different, which is displayed that run about everybody's theoretical whatever you want to find every generation transports out there and lack that feel that the irony with that part of the beginning got it all right.

Great answers will be right back. Her plan and by the Expo line of fire with your host Dr. Michael Brown your voice and more cultural and spiritual revolution. Here again is Dr. Michael Brown transfer joining us on the line of fire book American greatness. I conservatives Inc. missed 2016 election with the DC establishment needs to learn Chris Buskirk and safe Seth Lipson together wrote hey Chris tonight that I butcher Seth's last name. Here is live, set alarms, but I would buy books or maybe a little, but will we put Lipson okay yeah they are going away all right. The at the end of your book this not just a matter of what we got wrong which is very insightful, but the last chapter the way forward, saving the revolution what you lay out there yet well reliable what we have to do we describe the problem but of course the question then always become what we do now and got and I your lovely yacht. We want a big victory. I think the country in November 2000 and but the battle goes on and we need look no further than the headline from today or last Friday. You know, we look at the publican movement campaigning. Princeton on repealing Obama care for 7 1/2 year heard about that ad infinitum.

I don't know how many hundreds of billions of dollars have been rated raved on that all the power to monitor the Obama care and when it comes right down to the camp seem to find out how to do it. Can't figure out how to get the votes to do that that a disappointment for a lot of out here for a lot of Republican, a lot of conservative and it took to goes to the core point of the book which is that there is something wrong inside of the American right and so what were pointing to is an intellectual Reformation that that leads to a political restoration for that meeting means that the people like out people like what you will people like out American greatness. People are people who have an interest in the things that have antiphon about them. We need to put forward an American agenda that that is in fact revolutionary and I and I don't say that lightly, but the American Revolution was radical go back to the white 18th century those ideas to radical them there still radical now, and we see that that little plaque buildup in the in the circulatory book of American politics and is typically now we go back to the basics. But how do we do. We how we adhere to the theme of the native made this country what it is and thoughtful. We talk about we talk about that her from blanking really goes back to recognizing the fundamental rights of recognizing that American something unique and that there are responsibilities of the government have now when the public on the left says that it always about money. How can the government take one group give to another will look at it that way.

We say the government has a responsibility to defensemen in the fence back. It needs to protect what it means the response of them. So one talk about something like immigration that's been very frustrating for a lot of a lot of Republicans because the event that voting for people who want to import borders and for certain immigration laws and yet publican elected Republican haven't done it. So we're basically this moves but the food know you'll reference their but there were the a lot. The Israelites were not allowed to enter the promised land because there was a generation who would follow God's command when they did that certain parallel there.

I think that we need a generational shift here in five. The American right and we need to play fellow with people who recognize that they are ultimately beholden when the legitimate become from the defendant from the voters and that that is what their job not the thumb and not some sort of up in the air. Ideas that people haven't voted for the people have endorsed the basics of government which is to protect the prosperity of the country and if we do that be way ahead of the game. All clear loud and clear.

Can we do it, that's the question but the challenges they have to the book American greatness Chris Buskirk and Seth Lieb sent thanks for joining us. Chris look forward to talking to about your future projects. My pleasure thank you very much for having me. All right, so friends, let me say this plainly limits, it is plainly my hope is in God not in Pres. Trump. My hope was in God not in Pres. Obama not President Bush or any of the presidents in my lifetime I hope is in God and its dramatic changes to come to this country. It's going to be through God and his people right and it's going to be that the people of God, the church following Jesus heart and soul, living out the faith, serving God diligently and make an impact through being salt and light in the world around us.

At the same time I recognize that our political leaders do play a part to play a role in its immeasurable right is secondary to the role we place the people of God but it is an important role in the president and Congress Supreme Court could a lot of good or Lotta bad so whether you voted for Donald Trump or not we need to be praying for him.

Pray for Congress. Pray for Supreme Court exactly the same as when Pres. Obama was the president okay but I want to add dissent.

I saw an article I wrote oh year ago. I think the longer warning Christian conservatives don't look to Donald Trump to be your protector. He had made statements then that were concerning.

He had made statements about pro-life but wanted to see exceptions in the pro-life Republican platform University rape or incest or or things like that she should not take lightly but we still say is that baby is a baby in the womb, then you don't abort the baby. Accordingly, and and there were statements he made about HB two in North Carolina, as if the stated bid one decision there in a ketogenic use ladies room. It building if if that's what Jenna wants to do. I select don't know look at this medicine, more conservatives going to protect your rights and liberties.

I believe as the time has gone on that he has been S barring divine intervention, it does seem that more and more and more he's positively influence in the right direction. I would love to be very wrong about the warning that I issued again. I said, barring divine intervention. We can't look for this to happen. There have been things that the sorbent disappointments on the one hand, other things that I've been applauding it that are been great okay so I'd love to be wrong and and and I think that there is evidence that there has been work of the Holy Spirit on Donald Trump's heart in certain positive voice while we still see trust me we all see the blemishes and the weaknesses in the problems of the other issues. Let's keep praying this keep praying and let us look at our job and our responsibility hate friends I just saw the news for about an hour ago so tragic from England and ingest one of the downsides of socialized healthcare with the government to make these ultimate decisions. His parents have not given up the battle to take him to the United States for treatment because they say the window of opportunity law exists so much time was wasted that now there's no possible medical intervention that could save his life improve his life so that the disc 11 go how agonizing they must be thinking if the courts didn't do with they did our baby could potentially be alive or or have a prospect of living on so again one of the real problems with socialized healthcare, which is why so many Americans do not want to go in that direction friends. Lots of great resources*ground.org please go there and check it out. The new videos new articles Blessed be held encouraged were in this together friends
