All of my friends back home in Atlanta, Georgia. Thank you to everybody in Canada. We had another caller last hour. He's just like, I love hockey, J.R. I love it. We want hockey. Well, everybody else don't want hockey. Sorry.

Anyway, I'm going to be here with you for the next three hours. It's NBA playoff elimination night. The Atlanta Hawks have already said, we ain't going nowhere. Like that terrible Puff Daddy song. Hated that song from like 20 years ago. We ain't going anywhere.

I think that song sucked. But anyway, the Clippers, they are currently staying alive in a competitive game. 58 to 55. About three minutes left in the first half. Clippers are not leaving quietly in the fourth quarter.

And another elimination game. The Minnesota Timberwolves, they refused to leave quietly. They're only down two right now to Denver, 84 to 82. A little less than 10 minutes left in that game.

And I told you, the Atlanta Hawks, they won tonight, 119 to 117 to avoid elimination. And you can thank Trae Young, his 38 points. And congratulations to the Celtic fans who wanted to chant F U Trae Young tonight. It didn't stop Trae Young from running around, just knocking down three after three after three, including this game winning three with Trae Young basically pulled up from half court and said, F me, F you. Sadiq Bey to put it in play. Sadiq gets it out to Trae in the backcourt. Trae now brings it across against Jalen Brown. Trae in the middle, fires the three.

Bang! Trae Young just hit it with 1.8 to go. And the Hawks take a two point lead.

119 to 117. Trae Young has just stunned this crowd, folks. Trae Young has just stunned Boston. Trae Young did that, that ice Trae, you know, shiver, shiver, you know, held the shoulders, did a little shiver. Oh, it's cold in here. I'm cold. Get it? My name is Trae Young. Ice Trae. Cold. Get it?

Get it? And so there will be another game in Atlanta on Thursday of which the Hawks have already emailed me telling me to buy tickets. I'll be at the NFL Draft with Zach Gelb. I'm looking forward to that. I can't wait to see that gorilla from the, well, oops, oopsie daisy, not the Oakland Raiders, the Vegas Raiders.

And so we got a lot to do the rest of the show. We're going to get into some of these quarterbacks. There's a lot going on speaking of the NFL Draft. Carolina Panthers are telling everybody, yeah, we know who we are going to take at number one overall. There's all these rumors that have already come out about which quarterback is stupid. I hate this every year.

It's like they alternate. One year the quarterback's hands are too small. The next year the quarterback, he's too stupid. One day they're going to say the quarterback.

I don't know. They come up with the stupidest reasons to try to manipulate people here on the draft. And then, you know, last night somebody called and they talked, they asked about the Pirates.

We're going to talk about the Pirates because they actually gave somebody a contract extension, which is difficult to even think about. So we got a lot to do. We got a couple of callers here. And so I want to I want to be polite in the process. I want to allow them to say their piece. And then this hour we're going to get into which quarterback was labeled basically as as stupid. Joe Douglas talked about Aaron Rodgers and and what he's bringing to the team and what this means for Zach Wilson. And so we got more to do if you want to communicate with us.

Simple. 8 5 5 2 1 2 4 CBS. That's 8 5 5 2 1 2 4 CBS.

You can find me online. At JR Sport Brief. Right now, we got David. He's calling from Sacramento.

CBS Sports Radio, David, what's up? Well, man, you know, I just want to call you and compliment you on your excellent call on the Devante Davis fight. I know that's not the subject right now, but man, you hit that on the money. Well, thanks, man.

I didn't think well, maybe for me, I didn't think it was all that complicated. Like he's a shorter dude. He's staring him in the body. He's a power puncher. He gonna hit that man in the body.

And that's exactly what he did. So I don't think it was that outrageous of a of a prediction. Now, man, that was that was that really was a lovely call. I was in love with me.

I want to call you and compliment you on that. Yeah, I really I really thought I really thought Garcia had a chance to beat. He didn't fight the fight. He did. If he said it himself, Ryan Garcia went out there and he was impatient and he was trying to rush. If he would have just, quote unquote, boxed him instead of trying to fight him, maybe he would have won a couple of rounds on the scorecards. But I didn't see him going out there and just knocking his dude out. It was too risky. And he paid for it by trying to throw hands on him. He paid for it. Well, I think if he would have waited to the later rounds and did try to knock him out, he would have had a better chance.

Well, he would have been punished along the way, too. So it's like pick your poison. That's what makes Gervonta Davis such a dangerous fighter. Hey, David, when's the last time you punched in a liver? No, I mean, I mean, I don't fight.

I carry a knife. Oh, whoa. OK.

I didn't expect that. There comes a point in life where you're too old to throw hands. You just just go straight. OK. OK, well, please, please do us a favor. Just just be very judicious as to how you utilize that knife. All right. As long as nobody touched me in the liver, everything will be all right. OK. We could punch you in the arm, but not the liver. Hey, David, thank you for calling from SAC town, man.

I like to be. Oh, here we go with that crap again. Like the beam. Here we go with that crap again.

We were having a good conversation and a good call, Shep, until he wanted to light the beam. I'm sorry. My apologies to all my friends in Sacramento.

When I hear light the beam, it sounds to me like a rallying cry for losers. I'm sorry. Like, I want the Kings to be good. So do I. I'm glad. So do you want.

No, I mean, they did that fan base is so deserving of a legitimate product that they haven't had in 17 years. Here's the deal. That stupid beam should win game four. Here we go. I'm going to get yelled at now.

I'm going to get calls from Sacramento. Oh, gee, I don't care. Whatever. That beam is like it's like a participation trophy. It's like, hey, you guys finally did something.

Here you go. Let's let's light a beam. It's it's it's campy to me.

It's corny. Light the beam. And so, look, if the Sacramento Kings can be good now with D'Aaron Fox leading the way for, let's say, the next, I don't know, five to 10 years is difficult to predict that far. But let's say the Kings can go on a run where they're competitive for the next 40 or not 40 years, but they have 40 to 50 win seasons. And so what in four or five years from now, if the Kings are going to the Western Conference Finals, if they're perennial playoff contenders, we're going to we're going to look at Vivek Ranadive come out to light the beam for the next.

There comes a point in time, which is like, are you all used to winning yet? Does it beat the alternative, though? Which has no lighting of beam and you suck for 17 years. I'd rather have them light a beam and be competitive market in this in this community of the NBA recall. They can win basketball games and they can play music. It's great branding.

Right. So it's I understand that it's great, but it is just hilarious to me. It's genius and hilarious from a business perspective. It's great because it's something that everybody remembers. The Kings by how many teams you win a game and there's confetti that's falling out the sky.

It's like, oh, we got confetti. The New York Yankees win a baseball game and, you know, Frank Sinatra comes on like every day. A lot of teams that have their thing. If the Sacramento Kings want to light a beam, then God bless them.

It's just so bad. Like, for instance, the Yankees, Frank Sinatra comes on. It's it's almost like we win and they haven't won since 2009. But we win. We win a lot. We've won more than anybody else. We're going to play this damn song in the stadium.

We'll sing along. They're doing it because they're champs. They have a championship pedigree. The Sacramento Kings are lighting the beam because they've been garbage for so long.

And they said, oh, well, if we put a flashlight on the roof, that maybe we can get the people excited. And that's exactly what happened. So congratulations, Sacramento. I'm sorry. I'm a jerk. Fine.

Call me nasty names. Sacramento Kings like the being and the Aaron Fox. God bless him. He will go out there and play with his broken finger.

Let's see if he can give one of these all time performances. 8 5 5 2 1 2 for CBS. Nick, he is calling from Toronto.

You're on CBS Sports Radio. What's up, Nick? Hey, how's it going, JR? Very well, man. What's going on?

I got to do I got to start off by doing something very Canadian. I got to apologize for that last guy from Canada that called. I mean, where is this guy coming from? I don't think there's any reason that you guys need to be talking about. Well, not no reason, but there's a lot of other sports out there like you like you spoke about that can be talked about ahead of hockey. So anyone calling you asking why you're not talking about hockey isn't really understanding what's going on here. So I want to start off by saying that I think you do a great job. And, you know, it's not your responsibility to get the people of America interested in hockey.

It's hockey's responsibility to get hockey and get people of America interested in hockey. You mean to tell me you mean to tell me I shouldn't spend 10 minutes on like what the Columbus Blue Jackets look like next year? I shouldn't do that. You can. You know, you're going to lose a lot of followers.

You're going to want a lot of listeners, I'm sure. Yeah. So I mean, you could talk.

You could talk about the Winnipeg Jets, how they're down 3-1 in the series, and you can talk about how LeBron James is carrying that Lakers team through that to that first round. Now, I'll give you the option. Right.

So if I if I can talk about that or LeBron, like which one of people more? Yeah. No, that's that seems like simple, simple math to me. But for some reason, some people don't get it. But what do I know?

You got anything else? I'm sorry. Go ahead.

No, no, no. I just jump in there as a Canadian citizen and say, listen, we're not all like that. We get it. We follow hockey here. We love it here.

You guys don't like it down there. That's how it is. Thank you. Thank you for speaking for all of Canadians. I hope they message you.

You keep doing your thing, man. Thank you. Appreciate your net calling from Toronto. I love I love Toronto, man.

I do. I mean, they got ice. They got they got ice rinks and stuff downtown all over the city. You just you might get arrested, but they got ice everywhere.

The last time I was in Toronto, it really it felt like it didn't feel like the temperature was negative 25. Skin was burning out there. I'm like, what are we doing here? I like it. Not for me.

Anyway. 8 5 5 2 1 2 4 CBS. That's 8 5 5 2 1 2 4 CBS. Oh, Joe Mazzola, the head coach of the the Celtics. He spoke after his team choked away a victory. Atlanta won 119 to 117.

Joe Mazzola, he talked about why they suck. Listen, we're up 12 with five minutes left. Kind of slowed things down a little bit. What did you see from the offense in those moments? Yeah, I think we just got to execute. You know, I thought we got some good shots, but I just didn't think we executed the way we normally do down the stretch. The first stretch there, you guys were able to kind of get back cuts on them. And it seemed like you had control of the passing angles and then they just started upping the pressure kind of jumping up and just picking something out of the air. So why do you feel like you guys weren't really adjusting to recognizing how they were covering you? I think it's more we just lost our pace a little bit on the offensive end, partly on me trying to make sure we run a good play and get into passing lanes. No, I mean, that can be partially true. It's a whole lot of coach speak.

Thank you very much. The Celtics were outscored 37 to 25 in the fourth quarter. Jason Tatum only had 19 points and this man was shooting blanks from downtown. Jason Tatum knocking down one of 10 threes for tonight. He was eight of 21 from the field. I mean, those are the type of games where you supposed to show up in. We know he had a poor, poor NBA finals.

He started off this past season as one of the dudes who's supposed to be a candidate for MVP. That kind of fell off. Jason Tatum has to go to Atlanta on Thursday and light them up. Not like no damn beam. He got no beam in Atlanta.

We got poles, lots of them. But he has to go down there and just light up the Hawks. It's the JR Sportbree show here with you on CBS Sports Radio. We're going to take a break.

And when we come back on the other side, we'll talk about someone who's not even a professional athlete yet. His name? C.J. Stroud. What's wrong with C.J. Stroud? He's currently being labeled as the next dumb quarterback.

And I don't think that's cool. We're going to talk about that. I'll talk to you. We're going to get into the Carolina Panthers. I'll update you on some of these other elimination games going on in the NBA. We got NFL. We got NBA. We're going to get into some MLB.

We got a lot to do. The JR Sportbree show. CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sportbree on CBS Sports Radio.

You're listening to the JR Sportbree on CBS Sports Radio. Thank you, first off, for making my drive from the south side of Atlanta to the north side every night terrible. I always enjoy listening to you, man.

Intellectual and introspective. I appreciate you. I just started to listen to you about six months ago. Man, I love your show.

Call in now at 855-212-4CBS. It's the JR Sportbree show on CBS Sports Radio. I need to do a study.

Hey, Shep, you do it. I need to do a study of people who listen to the show. Like, we need to come up with a fact. We need facts.

Something like, you know, like Surgeon General. Nine out of ten people who listen to this show blank. I don't know what the blank is, but we can eventually figure it out. Is there something about tests? Is there something about surveys?

Is there something about acquiring data or data to draw a conclusion? And so here we are on the heels of the the NFL draft. Thursday, Friday, Zach Gelb will be live with you.

Both of us will be live with you. Just going through. Who's getting drafted? Where they're going. What's going to happen when they get there? And now that we're getting closer and closer and closer. We're getting some of the nonsense coming out about some of the the draftees.

And unfortunately, right now. C.J. Stroud. He's the guy getting crapped on. I don't know. Maybe there's some teams that want him to fall in the draft. Maybe people are trying to paint him in a negative light.

And this isn't anything unusual. C.J. Stroud just came out of Ohio State. You could pretty much make the argument the biggest knock on him from most pundits is his mobility.

He's not running around as much as he should have or can. And so here he is after throwing 41 touchdowns and six interceptions. People are killing him about his his mental acumen. How smart he is.

How good of a quarterback he could be at the NFL. I think most of us remember the the Wonderlic exam. Most of us remember this ridiculous test where you just had athletes, superstars sitting around.

Taking just taking a test that that where's the indication that you having a high score, you're going to get the quarterback or that you're going to throw a touchdown. I want you to listen to this. These are some familiar voices. You got a failed head coach and Jeff Saturday. I know you had a hell of a career as a center. Congratulations.

You got Michael Strahan and you got my main man from the Bucks, Derek Brooks. They sat down years ago with the NFL Network and they basically said, look, the Wonderlic test is crap. I remember it being heavily slighted towards math. If you're in a car and you're out of light, do you want to be the first car or you want to be the last car? It was like if one apple fell from a tree, another apple, two other apples fell from another tree. How many apples on the ground? Three.

Let me let me try to work that equation out in my head. I'm trying to see if this is a trick question. If one apple is on the ground and two more apples fall on the ground from another tree. How many apples are on the ground? Well, there was the one that was there already. Plus the other two that fell, I understand they fell from another tree. But even though they come from another tree, they're still on the ground. That would happen to be three apples.

Yes. Thank you, Derek Brooks. There's a reason you are one of the best linebackers of all time. And so the NFL got rid of the stupid test because I don't know what counting apples has to do with sacking a quarterback.

Or snatching an interception or knocking a dude out behind the line of scrimmage. I have no idea. And so the Wonderlic was replaced with a test called the S2. It's a cognitive test.

It replaced the Wonderlic. There are nine segments as a part of this. And it is to determine your complex decision making your improvisational skills. It's going to see how fast you can make a decision.

It's 45 minutes, 50 multiple choice questions. And of course, similar to the Wonderlic, there were test scores leaked. Bryce Young.

Yeah, he might be too small for the NFL. Bryce Young scored a 98. Will Levis scored a 93.

Anthony, the alien, self-proclaimed Richardson. He scored a 79. Hendon Hooker. He scored a 46. Maybe if his ACL was good, he'd score higher. C.J. Stroud. He scored an 18. Let me let me just say that again. Bryce Young scored a 98.

C.J. Stroud scored an 18. Like, how many different ways are we trying to call a quarterback stupid? The people who helped distribute this exam, this S2 test score, they basically said there are various factors as to why someone would score low. Maybe they don't care about your stupid test.

Maybe they took it late at night. And let's be honest and let's be clear. If I'm an NFL player, you know what I want to speak for me? My play on the field, not an exam. You tell me. I think most of our listeners here have taken a test.

I think most of our listeners at some point in life have sat in the classroom. I would say that some of us, maybe most of us at some point, I certainly have, have looked at a multiple choice test and said, screw this. I know it doesn't matter what happens with this test. I'm going to be OK. Is that the mindset of a lot of people? Probably not. You're going to have folks who get a test and they want to get everything right.

They're going to sweat. But if you already know you're going to get a passing grade, screw this test. And so I'm not going to look at C.J. Stroud and and kill the guy because he took an exam that doesn't have anything to do with football. It helps his decision making on a screen.

And now destroy the dude. And there's so many factors here. Is there a team trying to make him look stupid so he falls? There's always an ulterior motive. Why would somebody leak out his test scores to make him look stupid? Every year, there's something. Is this quarterback dumb?

Does he have tiny hands? How about we just judge these guys? On who they are as people.

And what they can do. On a football field. I didn't have to take no test to sit here on CBS Sports Radio, never. I put myself out there and they said, oh, this guy's good. People like him. Let's bring him in. Here I am. Boom.

They're not asking me to do calculus to decide my decision making. You can either get a quarterback or you can't. You can throw a touchdown or you can't. We got we got Kenny Pickett destroyed over his tiny hands. We had Joe Burrow who went to a Super Bowl. Joe Burrow is already one of the best quarterbacks in the entire NFL. There were entire conversations surrounding Joe Burrow in the size of his hands. Kenny Pickett, after the season, he sat down on the Pivot podcast. This is after his first year.

And he was pretty much asked, hey, how was your first season? Everybody said your hands are small. Do you feel being an NFL player, you were affected with your tiny hands?

Kenny Pickett said, yeah, you know, I was concerned. I tried to stretch out my hands, but I still whooped ass. Does the hand side stuff get on your nerves?

Do you sit look at your hands? I stretched them out a little bit, man. I was doing some exercises.

I got them. I think it was like eight and a half at combine. I got into like eight and five days or something at pro day. So like for whatever that's worth, man, I was trying everything I could. I was sleeping in like a splint to like stretch my hand out.

I played in the second coldest game in high school history against the Raiders. And, you know, we won the two minute drill. So we did.

We did all right. So, yeah, there's always something like they just once they find something in that draft process, man, they're going to hammer home till till the draft. This man slept in a splint to strive to try to stretch his hands out.

Did he did he need it? His dumb ass ideas, his concepts, there's always something. And so because now CJ Stroud is stupid next year, whoever the quarterback is, they're going to say this guy's hands are too small. And the next year, the other quarterback is going to be stupid. Judge the guys off of what they do on the field. Not what their mother did for a living, not where their their grandparents live, not where they grew up. Just just judge them on football.

It's not that complicated. Ty is here from Boise, Idaho. You're on CBS Sports Radio. What's up, Ty? Yo, what's up, JR? Shoot.

I'm there. I'm just I'm tired of hearing about this wonder like as to all these exams, the stress test IQs as no merit of what a man can do on a football field. Most of these guys have been playing ball since their little kids.

They go to D1 schools. Let's judge them like what you're saying. Let's judge them just merely on what they can do on a football field as no merit.

I'm going to give you four names. Jim Kelly, Terry Bradshaw, Donovan McNabb and Dan Marino. All these all these guys scored a 15 on the Wonder Lake. You tell me if the Wonder Lake has any merit with what these guys did on a football field. No, I scored a tool. I scored a twenty seven for a job. Can I throw a football?

Hell no, I can't throw a football to save my life. So like it literally has no merit and I'm tired of hearing people just bash CJ Stroud into the ground. The dude did well. And I think they should be rewarded for how well he did at Ohio State. OK, that's all I got.

Thank you, Ty. I agree with you. It's called over analysis. The dude sitting in front offices and they making tons of money. And so when you make a lot of money, what do you do? Sometimes you act like you're busy. You start coming up with points.

You start making things up. So it looks like you're doing some work. And so as to me, it sounds like a drug.

Sounds stupid. And so you got NFL players taking us to test. And there's an NFL executive, several of them who think that they are doing their job to contribute to the process. When you should really just be judged on how well you can either throw a ball, catch a ball, or tackle the guy with the ball.

They should chill on these exams. Ask Johnny what he should do on a third and one. Don't ask him how many apples fell to the ground. It's the J.R. sport re-show here with you on CBS Sports Radio eight five five two one two for CBS.

I'll get some more your calls on the other side of the break. Mr. Joe Douglas, general manager of the New York Jets. He talked about Aaron Rodgers. And speaking of quarterbacks, he talked about the quarterback he drafted and what his future holds.

He scored well on these stupid exams, right? He looks like a dumb ass quarterback. His name is Zach Wilson. You're listening to the J.R. sport brief on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the J.R. sport brief on CBS Sports Radio. You love your show, love your topic. Every night you always get a great topic that always keeps me interested. What it do, J.R.? Just got off work, listen to your show.

Another great topic, as usual, sir. I'd like to chime in on this one. Call in now at eight five five two one two for CBS. It's the J.R. sport brief show on CBS Sports Radio. Before we went to break, we talked about the NFL. The NFL draft is pretty much about two days away.

Exactly at this point, Thursday night, we're going to find out who the Carolina Panthers take at number one overall. We also learned today, unfortunately, that C.J. Stroud has been it's been labeled.

He's been hit with the dummy label. We don't have a wonder lick exam anymore. There's a new exam called the S2, and it's S2 pretty much said that out of 100, C.J. Stroud scored an 18.

And Bryce Young scored a 98. And so these test scores were leaked. Who the hell is leaking them? And what's the purpose? I mean, I would assume a team is doing this. And what would be the purpose?

Trying to make them fall? We don't need these dumb ass tests. That's the point. And then outside of that, we also talked about Aaron Rodgers, his new general manager, talked about Aaron. And he gave some insight into his backup, Zach Wilson, as well. We're going to hear from Joe Douglas momentarily. Let's go to Tampa, Florida, and talk to Todd. You on CBS Sports Radio. What's up, Todd? There you are.

Let's get down to the business. Just want to first, before I talk NFL, just want to tip my hat to my raise. Lost our first home game out of 15 home. Got going for the record, 1901. And unbelievable team.

Just tremendous talent. Way to go, guys. Let's keep rolling here. Let me tell you this about the NFL Draft. Now, OK, if your team is drafting in the top four, OK, Carolina, you're going to take Bryce Young. Then in Houston, you're either going to take C.J.

Stroud, because your quarterback is not good enough, and then whoever's taking third and fourth, your quarterback ain't good enough either. So if it weren't Anthony Richardson, which I'm a Canes fan, but I see Anthony Richardson needs some coaching, OK? And, you know, let me tell you, you better have a big league arm.

You better be tough enough to go from there. C.J. Stroud, by the way, Marvin Harrison, I hate Ohio State.

I'm a Canes fan. What do you like Ohio State for? But C.J. Stroud, Harrison got knocked out of the game, wouldn't let him come back in the game. He wanted to come back in the game.

Had he come back in the game, I think Ohio State wins that game, OK? Because that's how good Harrison is. So you're going to tell me on the biggest stage now that C.J. Stroud is not good enough for your team? Your team that sucks, that's the top vote, that's taken in the top four? That's why the general manager and the coach get fired after one season, because they make bonehead decisions like that. I think C.J.

Stroud is the second best quarterback in this draft. Peace. I'm glad he hung up. Damn, that was, I felt like I was at an auction. I couldn't win anything. I was a loser. Hey, by the way, there was another team that, well, the Atlanta Hawks stayed alive. The Minnesota Timberwolves, they got the boot. Denver knocks Minnesota out of the playoffs. The final score here in Game 5, 112 to 109. Denver wins this series 4 to 1.

Minnesota tried to hold on and they could not. Karl-Anthony Towns, he has 26 points. He fouls out. Anthony Edwards, he leads the way with 29 points.

He was 0 of 6 from downtown. Karl-Anthony Towns was 1 of 6. And then Nikola Jokic, he finishes with a triple double, 28 points, 12 assists, 17 rebounds. Jamal Murray, he pours in 35 points.

Bruce Brown off the bench, he had 14. So the Denver Nuggets, they are anxiously awaiting the winner of this series. It's going on right now as well. It's the Clippers. It's the Suns. And they are playing it close too. The Phoenix Suns have an opportunity tonight to eliminate the Clippers. And they're playing it close. Phoenix leads 91 to 86. It's going to take some time.

This is taking, you got to give credit where it's due. The Phoenix Suns have been on a 20 to 7 run in the last 4 plus minutes. And so maybe, just maybe, the Los Angeles Clippers are finally running out of gas here. Let's keep in mind, there is no Kawhi Leonard. There is no Paul George. As Devin Booker is currently on fire. 94 to 86. Devin Booker just knocked down a 3.

And the Clippers may finally be running out. 855-212-4CBS. Nick, Nick is calling from Maryland. You're on the JR Sport Reshow.

Go ahead, Nick. Hey JR, how you doing? I'm a depressed Green Bay Packers fan, but tonight I want to talk about my Orioles. They're in a very tough division, but they're off to a good start and we have a lot of offense. I'm a little worried about the pitching, but I'm hopeful we can hang in there this year. Isn't that really always been the case more recently for the Orioles? I mean, outside of trying to find some bats, now that they have some young bats that have come up, it's always been the pitching, man. What else is new?

I don't know, but I'm wishful. My wife loves them and she's been rooting for them for a long time, so she told me not to worry about the Packers. Let's hop on the Orioles bandwagon, so we'll see. Hey, good luck, man. It's early. Maybe the Yankees and Blue Jays will start whooping that ass all summer long, but we got to wait and see, okay?

I hope not. Anyway, have a good night. You as well, Nick. And then you got to put Tampa in there as well, man. Yeah, at least it's tough. It's no longer, hey, Yankees are here to beat up on everybody. All these teams have finally caught up with their homegrown talent.

It's nice. And my apologies to you for your Green Bay Packers. Aaron Rodgers is now the problem, obviously, of the New York Jets and the New York Jets wanted to do. And so when you think about the trade, actually, I told you, Joe Douglas, the GM of the Jets, he spoke last night. I said, there's there's nothing wrong with what the New York Jets did. Like they had to go for it.

Like what's why not? What do you have to lose? You got a good team. You don't have a quarterback. There's a damn good one looking you in the face.

You go out there and you take them. And so Joe Douglas, he spoke today. So pre draft press conference. Joe Douglas said, I didn't give up too much for Aaron Rodgers. I feel like this is going to be a great thing, a great thing for for Zach. And, you know, I spoke to you guys at the combine. And, you know, Zach Zach ceiling is unlimited.

And no one works harder. No one loves ball more than Zach Wilson. And him having the opportunity to really shadow and be be with a first bout of Hall of Fame quarterback every day, every hour is in the building.

That's that's a great opportunity and a great experience. He drafted him. Right. He can't come out and say, I don't like him. He can't do that.

He'd be and he'd be indicting himself. He looked silly himself as the general manager. He can't say Zach sucks. There'd be no Aaron Rodgers on the New York Jets if Zach Wilson looked like a damn good QB, but he didn't. Six touchdowns to seven interceptions. No accountability. Teammates couldn't stand him. Who does he think he is? Aaron Rodgers?

Hope he doesn't learn that aspect of it. So congratulations to the New York Jets. At least we go into the draft and we don't have to have a full conversation about is he finally going to get traded? Is he getting traded in the first round? Are the Packers going to accept the multiple or settle for, you know, less than two first rounders? Well, they swapped first rounders. And then for next year, if Aaron Rodgers plays enough snaps.

And it turns into a first round. Big whoop. Are you either going to get the job done or you're not?

It's not that tough. Adrian is here from Houston, Texas. You're on CBS Sports Radio.

Go ahead, Adrian. Hey, you said that Aaron Rodgers is the problem of the Jets, but that man's just two years removed from being a back to back MVP in this league. I said that Aaron Rodgers is the New York Jets problem. Now, it has nothing to do with what this man does on the football field. I can tell you what he's done the past two years. I can tell you what he's done over the past decade. I can tell you about what he did last year. I can tell you about what body parts hurt him last year.

I can also tell you about the elements of him as a person, as an individual that have caused the Green Bay Packers a headache. That is not going to do anything but be exacerbated by the time he shows up in Florham Park. That's a good point. I'm just saying that I think the guy's got some more football left in him. And with that squad, you know, Breeze Hall running that ball downhill with, you know, that young, wide receiver.

Breeze Garrett Wilson and Breeze Hall is coming off of a tourney. That's true. But, I mean, you can't look at guys, you know, based on just their history with injuries and stuff. When he's a running back, yeah, you can. Because he just got injured last year. And there's no full expectation that he's just going to come out like a house on fire for this season. I hope he does. Look, I said Aaron Rodgers is the New York Jets problem now.

That don't have nothing to do with his play on the field. I think he's going to be good for the Jets. I also know there's going to be some fun moments. And when I say fun, I'm talking controversy. It's going to be fun for me. I love controversy. Hey Shep, do you love controversy? Overrated.

Shep is such a sweet guy. It's the JR Sport Reshow here with you on CBS Sports Radio. Damn it, the Denver Nuggets are moving on and the Timberwolves go home.
