Hey guys, this is Kenan Thompson. I have a problem with you. Yes, you. None of y'all told me that AutoTrader has millions of new and used cars that I can shop from home. I thought we were friends.

I put smiles on your face, but I'm not smiling. No one told me that with AutoTrader a dealer can deliver cars to my home or that I could shop by price on AutoTrader. No one. Consider this friendship that you just learned we had officially over. Finally, it's easy. AutoTrader. Last year, you may have made some smart decisions and you may have made some not so smart decisions.

Like, maybe you had one too many shots of tequila at your company party. The good news is making smart financial decisions is easier than you think. It is the JR Sport Brief Show on CBS Sports Radio. Where's the time gone? I'm only here with you for one more hour. I feel like I just sat down. A big shout out to everybody who's at work sitting on that ass. My folks in a chair. My folks in a car, in a truck, in a vehicle. My people delivering that food. My people making money. My people taking money. Maybe you're being productive. I don't know. I'm gonna be here for one hour, so just have fun.

Thank you so much. Our producer tonight, helping us out, holding it down, Jack Stern. It's been busy. I just gave you a top six list. We've been talking about divas in sports.

It's been inspired by Aaron Rodgers, of course. So I gave you a top six list. I'm taking your calls.

855-2124-CBS. We're talking about divas. It's been a busy day. What the hell else can I say? We got Aaron Rodgers proclaiming that he intends to play for the Jets. We found out that Ja Morant, he's been suspended for eight games. He's basically gonna get time served, quote unquote. So he might be back as soon as the end of next week.

NCAA, the first four is done. It's been a busy day. Ezekiel Elliott got cut. He got the boot. Baker Mayfield is heading to Tampa. Juju Smith-Schuster is going to the Patriots. Thursday and Friday is going to be jam-packed, full of basketball.

There is just so much going on. A matter of fact, not too long ago, Arizona State completely wiped out Nevada 98-73. And that sucks for them because Arizona State will go ahead and now play TCU. And in the first game earlier this evening for the first four, Fairleigh Dickinson, they beat Texas Southern. My bad to everybody at TSU.

They lost 84-61. A matter of fact, I want you to hear this call. This is the final call.

Fairleigh Dickinson beating them, courtesy of Westwood One. Listen. Mortal with it. Five seconds. Down to four. Down to three.

FDU, the smallest team in college basketball, stands tall at the first four in Dayton. Yeah, I don't know if we're going to get some new St. Peter's situation here. I don't expect it. Fairleigh Dickinson is going to move forward. They're going to take on Purdue. They're probably going to get smacked.

It sucks for them. We already know Southeast Missouri State, they lost to Texas A&M Corpus Christi. So Texas A&M Corpus Christi will go on and take on Alabama. And then Pitt beat Mississippi State last night. They'll take on Iowa State. And so we know who the final 64 will be from this, I can't even call it field of 64, from the first four. Okay, the real tournament starts tomorrow, Thursday and Friday as far as I'm concerned.

And then also I told you about John Morant. He's been suspended eight games. He's eligible to come back on Monday.

He's going to take longer than that. He met with Commissioner Adam Silver. He was cleared from any criminality last week. The NBA also cleared him of potentially having the weapon, owning the weapon, carrying the weapon around potentially at any NBA facility. And he gets off with, I don't want to say a slap on the wrist, he's missed eight games. He's missing approximately $700,000 as a result. He's going to miss out in the long run on $40 million because, there's two becausees, he's missing out on an NBA first team this year or making an all NBA team.

And so that will affect his Supermax contract, which will kick in this year. And so John Morant is in full, I'm sorry, I made a mistake mode. He also sat down and spoke for the first time today with Jalen Rose from ESPN. And he said, yeah, I made a boo-boo. How did I made a, you know, terrible mistake, you know, being inside a club and, you know, went live, I put myself in, you know, a bad position. And also it's, you know, my daughter, it's times where she even tell me if she's, you know, had a bad day. And I felt like, you know, if she can tell me that, then, you know, I can be able to go and talk to somebody as well. Okay.

I don't want to pile on a guy, but, uh, I wish him nothing but the best. We don't need all this, this pile on spin. And I was dealing with stress and, uh, man, you was making dumb ass decisions. You didn't just wake up and realize that, oh yeah, I finally realized that I have so much to lose. You ain't stupid. You just thought that you could do whatever the hell you want. And now you realize that you can get punished for it. Your dumb ass. I wish him nothing but the best, but all of this, uh, you know, I need to go away in therapy.

Oh, I need to do breathing techniques, breathing techniques. Gonna save you from the strip club. Yeah. Good luck to John Moran. I hope his dumb ass days are behind him. Good luck to him. And then we got Aaron Rogers, right?

Aaron Rogers, the first human being that I've ever heard in my life who wasn't just financially driven to play for the jets. He actually wants to go there. He let the cat out of the bag.

Finally on the Pat McAfee show, listen to this. At this point, as I sit here, you know, I think since Friday, uh, I made it clear that my intention was to play and my intention was to play for the New York jets. Okay. And I haven't been holding anything up at this point. It's been compensation that the Packers are trying to get, uh, for me and kind of digging their heels in.

Well, that's it. The Green Bay Packers and the New York jets are trying to figure out what, what the jets need the cough up to receive Aaron Rogers. And the fact that Aaron Rogers is 39 years old, uh, both teams really have it in their best interest to just get this over with the Packers want to move on the jets want to move on. Uh, I don't think this is going to take more than a few weeks. This should be done next week. I don't know what the hell the holdup is. Maybe they want to wait until right before the draft. Anyway, this is also news that took place this evening.

And then I'm going to get back to your calls. 8 5 5 2 1 2 4 CBS, the world baseball classic took place tonight. Edwin Diaz was on the mound as Puerto Rico beat the Dominican Republic and Republic five to two.

And as they were celebrating jumping up and down, giant human beings, super athletes jumping up and down. Edwin Diaz injured his knee. His leg was pointing in the wrong damn direction. His foot was going the wrong way.

And you could hear a pin drop on Fox sports too. Edwin Diaz is going to be evaluated tomorrow. And if you ask me, damn it, he might miss the whole year. This is what the scene sounded like after he hurt himself celebrating on FS2.

The Dominican players, they're all top step right now, fearing for him and feeling for him as well. Oh no, he could not walk. He did not want to be carried. He had to be kind of helped off for one man on each side while he dragged his leg. He could not plant his leg into the ground to walk.

And then they had to put him in a wheelchair. And I know every human being coach, owner, fan associated with the New York Mets, you gotta feel bad. We know it's a fluke injury. That doesn't make it any better, especially for a tournament that is still trying to grow.

I think that makes it hurt even more. This ain't the World Cup. It's the World Baseball Classic. But hey, means something to the players, but the teams, they don't have to allow these dudes to play.

What do I know? Good luck to Edwin Diaz. We'll have more information, I assume, tomorrow. And good luck to the Mets. Kind of kicking the nuts to their chance of trying to win a World Series. One of their starting pitchers, Jose Quintana, already out for half the season with surgery. 8-5-5, 2-1-2 for CBS. We're talking about divas and sports. Let me give you a quick recap.

Some of the men, and it could be a woman, stood out to me. And number six, I gave you the NBA. Number six, I gave you Terrell Owens. And number five, I gave you Barry Bonds. And number four, I gave you Aaron Rodgers. And number three, Kyrie Irving. And number two, I gave you Brett Favre. And at number one, I gave you the NBA. Well, excuse me, not the NBA. Well, he's an owner in the NBA now. So yeah, he is the NBA's and MLB's all-time leading liar, Alex Rodriguez.

And if you the reasoning, if you missed the audio, the explanations, you can hit rewind on the Free Odyssey app. But Alex Rodriguez is such a great liar, or such a bad one. Let me remind you of how much of a lying ass diva he is.

Remember this when he spoke to Katie Couric on 60 Minutes? Have you ever used steroids, human growth hormone, or any other performance enhancing substance? No. Have you ever been tempted to use any of those things? No.

You never felt like, this guy's doing it, maybe I should look into this too. He's getting better numbers, playing better ball. I've never felt overmatched on the baseball field. I've always been in a very strong dominant position.

And I felt that if I did my work, since I've done since I was, you know, rookie back in Seattle, I didn't have a problem competing at any level. So no. No, so no. And then we know he told everybody he lied a few years later. I did take a banned substance. And, you know, for that, I'm very sorry and deeply regretful. And although it was a culture back then, and major league baseball overall was very, I just feel that, you know, I'm just sorry.

Yeah, I'm just sorry. 855-212-4CBS. That's 855-212-4CBS. Let's go to Frank in Pennsylvania. Hey, Frank, when I say diva, what's the first name, first athlete that comes to your mind? You're on CBS Sports Radio.

Number one, got to be Antonio Brown. Okay, you're live on the radio. You got anything else? Hello?

Yeah, you're live on the radio, Frank. Go ahead. That's all you got? Oh, AB, you already talked your piece about him, I guess.

Other than that, I got Kobe Bryant. Okay. Do you have any reasons you're just giving names? You know, Frank, it's a talk show.

We want you to talk. Yeah, for Bryant, he's the only dude I can think of that's going to run another superstar out of town, getting rid of Shaq just so he could have the spotlight himself. That's not necessarily how that went, Frank.

No, that's not how that went. That guy Shaquille O'Neal admittedly was not in shape. That guy Shaquille O'Neal was also older.

That is a matter of fact. That guy Shaquille O'Neal, the owner had to take a look at both of them and say, which one am I going to keep around? Man, what a call that was.

855-212-4CBS. Greg from Michigan is back. Greg, when I say diva, you say who? JR, thanks for taking my call, Mr. Positive. I am so proud to talk to the man that's known for agents of inclusion.

Everybody look it up. Hey, for me, my friend, it's got to be Tiger Woods. I love him. He's the greatest. But I think his attitude with the NDAs, I know he's a very private person. And I know that in the very beginning of his career, he was very standoffish to the fans and stuff. Like he was holier than thou. But I think he's come around.

But at one time, I think a little bit, he's still a diva, but he's coming around to be a better person and a better man. And he shows everyone to go for your dreams to help the next person like yourself with the Special Olympics. And that would be my thing. I mean, everyone's flashy.

Floyd Mayweather, you could put in there some way, some way, shape or form. But it's a great question and a great it's a great question and a great thing. I wish I wish.

Yes. But thank you, my friend. Well, thank you. Thank you. Thank you, Greg, for calling from Michigan. And thank you for bringing up our new podcast with Odyssey and Special Olympics agents of inclusion. Thank you for promoting that.

Damn it. If you're listening to me right now and you can safely do it. Go to podcast wherever you listen and search agents of inclusion, where every week I talk to a different Special Olympics athlete. I talk to people who aren't divas. These are actually people who are being told, hey, you can't do this or you can't do that.

And they still go out and do absolutely amazing things. And so please don't be a jackass. Please look up agents of inclusion.

If you're sick of divas and you're somebody who goes, oh, I'm sick of Aaron Rogers, I'm sick of this. And you want to hear something positive? Agents of inclusion. It's a brand new podcast that I launched with my company.

I launched it with Special Olympics and Odyssey. The three of us got together to do something positive. So if you want positive news, you want to inspire yourself, your families, your children. You want to hear people do things that are seemingly impossible?

What's up Mark? Yeah, Bobby Knight. There had to be, there had to be nights where his team watched him feeling the same way a kid feels when they watch their dad get drunk at the family barbecue. You know, I admire the fact that you picked all team players, no individuals, you know, because you need a certain amount of egotism for, you know, to become a Serena Williams or something like that. But I have to agree with you on A-Rod and I don't know if this is empirical proof, but my buddy and I, he's a Yankees fan, we were going to watch a Yankees game on National Broadcast and we came up with a drinking game where you had to take a shot every time A-Rod talked about talked about something he did, talked about how he would do it, talked about even his failures.

We didn't make it past the third inning and all I can say is thank God we were taking shots of sake, not tequila, because we would have done each other permanent harm. The man can't stop even when he's trying to be his most humble and most affable. It's all about him. You have a good night, J.R. All the time.

Thank you, Mark, for calling from San Diego. Me-Rod, A-Rod, all about me. He's about him.

He loves him some him. Ramon is calling from Indianapolis. You're on the J.R.

Sport Brief Show. What's up, Ramon? Hey, how you doing, J.R.? Thanks for taking my call and one guy took my time, but I got a couple more I got and then one I'm sure Clayton Kershaw reasons are well known. He just I mean, the Dodgers kind of saved them a couple years ago, but boy, he sure always got hurt and whined.

He just whined, whined, whined. Clayton Kershaw, a diva? Yeah, he's one of the nicest. LA Diva. LA Diva. No, not Clayton. Clayton Kershaw is one of the nicest, humblest, chill, relaxed, stay the hell up on out the way, people that you will ever meet. He is the complete opposite of a diva. Well, the reason why I put him in the diva sense, because he got all the credit in the world for being this great pitcher who had one and they bailed him out a couple of years ago. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

That don't have nothing to do with being a diva, Ramon. You think so? OK. No, no, I don't think no, no, no, no, no, no. You don't got a fast talk. I don't think so. I know.

So that doesn't have anything to do. We know about his postseason troubles. But when it comes to him as a human being, as a baseball player, Clayton Kershaw is an example of who or what you would want a star to be.

But let's forget about that, because that sounds nuts. Do you have a legitimate diva? What about Bubba Wallace? Give me a reason why you think he's a diva. Uh, Michael had to put him in place, didn't he?

Didn't Michael have to kind of call him in the office? No, you're telling me. Are you sure about him? Yeah, Bubba's been, Bubba's, you know, he, he carries a little chip on his shoulders. I guess like the last caller said, you got to have a little bit of chip when it's individuals. Oh, Ramon, man, you're giving some crap answers here. They took all the rest of the guys.

So now you just reaching Clayton Kershaw and Bubba Wallace? I don't know about that, bruh. All right, thanks Jay. I appreciate it.

Okay, thank you. I'm like, what? Who are you going to tell me about next? Hey, Yogi Berra. Yogi Berra was a diva.

Like, what are we, who else is a diva? Who's a, who's a saint of an athlete? I don't know. Who's a super team player? I don't know.

Let's see. David Wright? Oh, with the New York Mets? Yeah. Nobody cares about David Wright though. Yeah, that's right.

No pun intended. Who, who's a, who's a saint in sports? I don't know. You going to tell me Giannis, Giannis is a diva? Giannis is affable. If you want to tell me he's, he got an edge to him, I'd say, yeah, he tried to push a ladder over and Giannis is a sweetheart of a human. He's a nice guy. He's, he's not into himself. He shows up. He plays hard.

Like we, we don't got to make names up and call them divas. That's, that's crazy. It's the JR sport re-show on CBS sports radio. I'm going to get some more of your calls.

855-212-4CBS. I'm going to tell you about some guys. I guess they've been humbled. Maybe Ezekiel Elliott. And he's definitely been humbled. He's no longer a cowboy. We got a lot more to do. Even, even Jalen Carter. He's not even the NFL yet.

Looks like he's been humbled. I'm going to get some more of your calls. We have more to discuss. It's the JR sport re-show CBS sports radio. Don't move.

Yeah. Joy is good. I'm glad I bring you joy. Bring me some joy.

I get brought joy by sitting here with you. Anyway, it is the JR sport re-show on CBS sports radio. We've been talking about, you know, divas in the world of sports. If you missed the full list and, and the reasonings and all of the fun audio that we used, if you listen on the free Odyssey app and go back the last hour, you can listen to all of the cool audio. In a second, I want you to hear, Terrell Owens.

Just wait a second. But I do want you to hear Tio at NFL films. He was amazing, but I'm looking at Twitter right now and you can message me at JR sport brief. I think, yeah, Alan from, Alan from Toronto called and Alan is currently in Florida. He's going to every sporting event possible.

He's trying to avoid all of the, the cold weather in Canada. And so he's like, yeah, I even went to an Orlando magic game. And I said, man, you went to the Amway center.

So that place sucks. And so I got a tweet, Steven H messages me on Twitter at JR sport brief. The Amway center is a great arena. I can tell you firsthand is great. I may not go to many games, but I do live in the state of Florida.

And as a lifelong magic fan, I love the Amway center and the previous arena that they played in before the Amway center was built. And then he said, everybody's entitled to their own opinion. He loves the show. I make him laugh. Thank you so much.

Thank you so much, Steven. I don't live in Florida. I am next door in Georgia. I've been to Florida a million trillion times. I've been to the Amway center quite a few times. I even think I went to the Amway center.

Did I go? No, not an all-star game, but I've been a few times going into the Amway center is like going into a museum. It is the most vacant feeling. One of the most vacant feeling arenas that I've been in.

And it's not even that old, but it feels old. It just, there's nothing. It's like watching a magic game in there is like going to the museum. I feel like you're so far away from the court.

Even the courtside seats are far away from the court. It's just, it's like, everybody's waiting for a cremation in there and who cares about the magic. Sorry. I love Florida. I love Florida.

I don't care about no magic. 8 5 5 2 1 2 4 CBS. It's 8 5 5 2 1 2 4 CBS.

It's crazy. This guy is a diva, but I like him. He was on the show. He's a great guy.

He's a nice guy. It's Terrell Owens. I want you to hear Terrell Owens. This is from NFL films. Uh, it's a short compilation of T.O. Just, just being T.O. Listen to this.

I love me some me. He just talks a lot and he backed it up. He just, he backed it up. I mean, he had some instances where, you know, he maybe should have said some things. He's outspoken. He made some mistakes. He was entertaining.

I'll tell you that much. I wouldn't mind a wide receiver like him in the NFL. Now, I don't think we have one.

Not with his package of going to play and just being ostentatious. They don't exist. 8 5 5 2 1 2 4 CBS. Steve is calling from Illinois. What's up, Steve?

Who's a diva? Isaiah Thomas, Detroit distance. Yeah, had to be somebody from Illinois. Go ahead. Tell me about, uh, you know, Zeke.

Go ahead. Well, I'm a Bulls fan. So, you know, maybe there's a little bias here, but, you know, Isaiah was a great player.

But I also always, when I listened to him being interviewed, he was smug, arrogant, bigger than life. I thought he felt like he was God's gift to the NBA. But the number one thing that got under my skin was Isaiah was, you know, watching the Bulls lose to the Pistons in the 87 88 semis. And then in the 88 89 finals, the 89 and 90 finals. And finally the Bulls beat the Pistons. And what does Isaiah do?

He gathers up his thug teammates and walk off the court before the game ends. I thought that was poor sportsmanship. Okay. Yeah. 35 years later.

I hear you. Uh, do we got to call them thugs? Can we not just call them bad boy teammates? The game was different back then. I think they'd be, you know, they played pretty rough.

So maybe thugs is too strong of a word, but I hear you, my friend. Yeah. I mean, they not out there in a knife fight, you know, just little elbows and, elbows and, and, uh, hip action and, you know, swinging. So I wish we had a little bit more aggression like that today, but I hear you, Steve, I'm, I'm glad you didn't even mention all the one and then complaining after the dream team. Yeah. You know, I, I, Isaiah probably deserved to be on that team. Um, so I give him credit for being a great basketball player.

I just felt like he was a little full of himself. Yeah. I can tell you this away from basketball. Well, I speak personally, I've, I've had pleasant experiences with him. That's not to say he hasn't, uh, had missteps here or there, you know?

Yeah. Well, that's the thing, you know, as sports fans, we, we see and hear things from a far distance and, you know, I, I've never met Isaiah. He might be a great man. Uh, you know, to, to, to be with, you know, in, in a social situation, but that's all I can speak.

I don't know him personally, but I've been around him socially and professionally and he's a good dude, but I know people in Chicago and people in Illinois hate his guts. And thank you, Steve. I appreciate you, man. Have a good night. All right. Thank you, dude.

Take care. No doubt about it. Hey, we got Marco Balletti here. Marco, who is the biggest diva. And when I say diva in sports, is there one name just that, that stands out to you way above everybody else? You know, this may be unfair, but the first one, and I know maybe because I heard the clip is Tio.

I think it's when I think of diva, that was the first thing I think of. They got the guys standing doing, um, sit-ups in the driveway, doing the, the nonsense with the, this is my quarterback. And then everything with the 49ers, like it just, it was nonstop with him everywhere. He went everywhere.

He went, he never gave up the shtick. Yeah. Yeah.

It's bittersweet for me to even put them on the list. Cause he's a, he's a nice dude. He's a nice, nice, nice guy.

He is. I believe you, but it's true. I know it makes it hard for me. It's it's true though.

Both are true. I'm conflicted about it. I mean, A-Rod stuff.

That's definitely there. I mean, I'm somewhat conflicted on that too, because of the fact that there was a lot of guys, I mean, almost to a man, they loved playing with him, especially at the end of his career. Now, in the beginning of his career, not necessarily so much at the end of his career, the last like five, six, seven, eight years, you couldn't hear anybody say a bad word inside the clubhouse.

Now there were a lot of guys that were tired of the act everywhere else, but they're, they loved him, you know? So it's kind of weird in that regard. He, Alex Rodriguez is almost Russell Wilson before Russell Wilson was there. And I think not, not to put Russell Wilson in like the cheater category.

I'm not going that far. I'm speaking in regards to authenticity, like trying to always present this and trying to present that and have everything be so manicured, except for, I don't believe Russell Wilson, he may be trying to, you know, weave the story and the presentation. Whereas Alex Rodriguez did it because he was just a liar. That's, that's why I can't stand him. Even today, there's nothing about this man I like, nothing.

I will say this though. He was, this is a great example of the analogy with the two of them. I will say A-Rod was a little naive though too, because there's, there's the line that I always remember in the, the Joe Torre book, when he talked about Alex Rodriguez coming to the Yankees and him trying to get him to just, you know, stop with all this facade and just let the guys see who you are. Let, you know, go get your own cup of coffee. Like stop getting everybody handed things to you.

Like just try to be one of the guys. And he said he had this conversation with A-Rod and he thought it really hit home. And then the next day he's by the batting practice, you know, by the cages and whatnot. And he hears A-Rod call out to him by the clubhouse, hey, Skip, I got my own coffee. And Torre just kind of like was, he doesn't get it at all.

Like he just doesn't seem to understand what I'm trying to tell him. So I think A-Rod had a lot of that naive, just not getting it. I mean, I don't know, maybe it was because he had a lot of things handed to him from such a young age.

And he was a guy that everybody anointed as the next greatest at what, 15. So maybe there's some of that with Russell Wilson where he just doesn't seem to get it, where he's disconnected and they don't understand why. Yeah, yeah. But there does come a point in time when you're older where you should know better. Like the man sat on 60 Minutes and just looked in Katie Couric's face and just, no, no, no, Katie.

Well, Katie, no. So, I mean, he's had enough time and going through the PR machine. Maybe as he continues to get older, he will kind of relax. Hey, we all get older.

We all got to learn. Good luck to A-Rod. I just, I don't even want to hear him on TV, but what can I say?

It's the J.R.R. Sport Reshow on CBS Sports Radio. I'm going to get some more of your calls before we have to roll out.

855-212-4 CBS. Getting more of your calls in before we have to roll out. We've had a busy night. Aaron Rodgers, we learned about his intention and his decision to play here for the New York Jets. Even if you continue on, we learned that Ja Morant suspended eight games. He's going to account for the games that he's already missed. And so Ja Morant should be back before the season is a wrap. Ezekiel Elliott cut by the Cowboys.

Juju Smith-Schuster goes to the Patriots. The first four games are done in the NCAA tournament. We're going to get a full slate of games tomorrow and Friday.

It's just, it's going to be absolutely ridiculous. And I just gave you a top six list of Divas in sports. If you missed a minute or second of the show, hit rewind on the Odyssey app and you could listen to it all. We heard a lot. Let's get some more of your calls in before we got to wrap up. Let's go to Lee. He's in Cleveland. You're on CBS Sports Radio. Hey, Jay. How are you doing?

I'm excellent, man. When I say Diva, who comes to mind? LeBron James and Odell Beckham Jr.

Okay, go ahead. Give me some quick reasons why you got both of them there. Well, with Odell, he liked attention. It was the sunglasses. It was his sunglasses. It was his leotard. It was his shoes. Then he know he don't supposed to have a watch on. I mean, he just, then he, you know, got kicked off the airplane.

He just liked attention. No? Oh, you're asking me? Yeah, I would agree. Absolutely. Yeah. Now LeBron James, he's another one. I mean, when he make a basket, he want to get on the score table and pound his chest.

But when he think he got fouled, then you want to get on his knees and pray and rose on the floor. And I mean, he just too much. Yeah.

Yeah. There, there've been some instances, but I think over a 20 year career, there've been some, I think there are some, I think there are more direct times, you know, walking off the court or kind of moping around. He has had his moments.

I don't know if I'd put him in a, in a Diva category. I can certainly understand why there's a lot of people in, in Cleveland who would think so. You left us twice. You had a decision. Yeah. He wants attention.

I think all things considered, when you look at the totality of, of his career and his life in the public eye, I would, I would beg to differ, but I certainly understand how anybody would, would feel that way. Oh, I'm sorry, Lee. My bad. Go to Larry from Michigan. You're on CBS Sports Radio. What's up, Larry? Hey, I'll tell you what, I want to first of all echo, uh, the comments of several other callers from Michigan. Tell you, I love your show. Well, I love Michigan and I love you, Larry.

What's up? Well, I'll tell you what, if you'll allow me to date myself and take it back about 55 years, I would mention the name of a pitcher named Denny McLean who pitched for the Tigers, one of the accomplishment in the year 1968, when he won 31 games. And, uh, I don't know how many other players ever did that in the 20th century.

Not many. He won a couple of Cy Young awards, but other than that, and he became the bell of the ball and he was celebrated on the Johnny Carson show. I remember, but the dude was full of himself and he was not a good guy. And he was often in the press for criticizing the fans, criticizing teammates, too good to ride the team plane. So he flew his own little plane to games, took along one of his teammates as a passenger to one of the games.

And then he left him stranded. That was me. Attention, please.

Passengers, fasten your seat belts. We are about to experience a blizzard of free money. That's right. Deposit a couple of hundred bucks into your BetUS account and get into the action with $450. That's $250 more than you started with.

I know. Crazy, right? Sign up today at betus.com or call 1-800-79-BET-US.

Be like me, bet for free. And then after his playing days, eventually he was convicted on charges of embezzlement. He went to prison for that. He bought a family business that had been around in Michigan for years, a meat packing company. It had been owned by a family for years.

And then he embezzled the money out of the pension fund and left a bunch of seniors high and dry. So in my memory, he's the diva of the day for me. No, I get it, Larry. I don't remember why.

We talked about him on the show, I want to say about a month ago. Really? And I think it's for all of the negative reasons that you just kind of laid out there. Thank you, Larry. I appreciate you, man. Okay. And I'll keep listening. Enjoy your show eventually. Thank you so much.

I'll catch you tomorrow. Thank you, Larry. Kerry from Arizona, you're on CBS Sports Radio. Give me one name quickly, Kerry. One name.

JR, I got to give you, I mean, yeah, a good list you got going. But being in Arizona right now, Kyler Murray is the epitome of a diva. I mean, when the team loses, it's the coach's fault. I did what the coach told me to do.

It didn't work. And he throws tantrums. He seems like a petulant child sometimes that you take a pacifier out of his mouth and he's going to kick and stamp and he still ain't done crap in the NFL.

The other guy I put honorable mention is Luke Adonti. Well, Kerry, I got to keep things rolling here. That's why I asked for one. Yeah, you go.

I'll tell you this, and thank you for calling from Arizona. Sure. Kelvin Beecham agrees with you. Kelvin Beecham was just talking about his teammate saying that he needs to grow up. I'm looking at Twitter now.

You can tweet me at JR Sport Brief. Joseph Medlin says Baker Mayfield without a doubt is a diva. I don't know if he's still a diva. He's signing the contract now with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Rufus Carroll says at JR Sport Brief, Chad Ochocinco. He changed his surname to the Spanish equivalent of his jersey number.

Yes, 85. M Vernaise, definition of a diva. Serena Williams. True. Rosencrantz, John Rocker, maybe a diva or adjuster or a fool.

I'd go for the latter. Yeah, John Rocker, complete fool, and I could say worse, but I'd get kicked off the radio. Hey, Jack, when I say diva, is there a particular athlete that comes to your mind?

I'm going to throw you a little bit of a curveball. I would say that Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, the combination of those two guys are my two biggest divas. They're going to be co-divas tonight because everywhere they go, they perpetually become an issue, and I'm just sick and tired of them forcing their way out of town and saying, trade for this guy, trade for that guy. Oh, pay me $50 million. Now pay me $300 million.

Oh, and now I don't want to be here anymore. I'm really tired of them. Get them out. Trash them. They're my biggest divas. Okay.

I don't find that to be any type of curveball at all. We got a long list of individuals who could have made the list. Jack, thank you so much for your help tonight in producing the show. Excellent work.

Thank you so much. Look forward to having you back on helping us again. I want to thank everybody who's been locked in all over North America to the show. We've had a busy day from Aaron Rodgers to Ja Morant to Edwin Diaz and his injury. By the time we're on air tomorrow, we'll most certainly know the extent of his knee injury from the World Baseball Classic. Hurt while celebrating.

It's a hard knock life for Met fans. Edwin Diaz goes down, and I guess Aaron Rodgers is on his way to New York eventually when both he or the Packers and the Jets figure out the compensation structure. If you want to talk to me, I'm everywhere. JR Sportbrief on all social media. I'll be back with you tomorrow, 10 p.m. Eastern time, 7 p.m. Pacific. The JR Sportbrief Show here on CBS Sports Radio.

It is a wrap, but don't move. Why? Amy Lawrence. Amazing. She's coming up next.
