It's the JR Sport Brief Show here with you on CBS Sports Radio. Happy Friday. It's time to get you all set for the weekend. It's time to get you all set up for the wonderful NFL games that are going to take place. It's time to get you set up, I don't know, just to have some fun.

So I don't know what you're doing, I don't know where you're at, I don't know what your Friday look like. Let's have a good time here for the next four hours. This is when I get started, 10 p.m. Eastern Time, 7 p.m. Pacific. I'm being joined by super producer and host, Dave Shepherd. More importantly, I got you listening. I'm not sitting here if you're not listening, and so thank you very much. And so whether you're tuned in on your local affiliate, the free Odyssey app, Sirius XM Channel 158, or a smart speaker, I'm glad that you're here. If you follow me on social media, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, that is at JR Sport Brief, you'll already know what we're going to discuss tonight.

And you already know what we're going to do, but why not? You don't have to be a genius to know that we're going to spend a good amount of time really taking a look at the NFL playoffs. We got two games tomorrow, we have three games on Sunday, we have a Monday Night Football matchup set up, wildcard round between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, even though they have a losing record, and the Dallas Cowboys. So that should be a fun night coming on air or being on air during and after that game. It's either going to be heavy Tom Brady, or it will be ridiculously heavy Dallas Cowboys. Fans of the Cowboys, we know they lean one way or the other.

And either way, it will certainly be extreme. So we'll take a look at some of the playoff matchups tonight. We'll talk about teams that might be able to go out there and surprise. And then we'll talk about some of the individuals who did not make the playoffs but are still in the news. Sean McVay, we found out that he's going to return. In a few minutes, I'm going to tell you about Aaron Rodgers. The conversation has already started about what he does and what the Green Bay Packers do. And it just feels like the same old same old with Aaron Rodgers because he doesn't know what the hell he wants to do. I don't want to call him a modern day Brett Favre. At least Aaron Rodgers isn't running around telling everybody he wants to retire.

But it's just the same old same old with Rodgers. So if you want to talk to me here on CBS Sports Radio, it's simple. The number is 855-212-4CBS.

That's 855-212-4CBS. I already told you I'm at JR Sport Brief everywhere on social media. Super producer and host Dave Shepherd, how are you this evening? I'm doing great, Sheriff.

Phenomenal to be with you. You slid in how old you were last night. You look about five years younger, by the way. Good. Thank you. I appreciate it. I don't know if people picked up on that or not. Good.

I'll take that into account. I'll go ahead and start modeling. Thank you very much. Bravo.

Thank you. You got a modeling agency that could help me out? You know more people in the business than I do. I mean, I know a few people.

Okay. You look like you can still play at professional sport. You said I look like I can play at professional sport.

Yeah, you have like five percent body fat. Yeah, well that's what happens when you pick things up and put things down and maybe I could still go out there and play. I don't know, wide receiver. I don't know if I'm too old for Aaron Rodgers. But we got to play this game again as to whether or not Aaron Rodgers is going to be back.

And why is that? Because they were just eliminated from the playoffs this past Sunday. The general manager of the Green Bay Packers, Mr. Guten Kunst, spoke to the media today and told everybody that he wants them back. And it's the same old story really with Aaron Rodgers.

Let's take a listen to this. After he was eliminated this past Sunday. After the Lions, who he refused to even mention by name, calling them that team after they beat him. Aaron Rodgers was in front of the media.

Aaron Rodgers had a microphone in front of him. And then once again, for what feels like the second or maybe third consecutive season, he talked about his potential retirement. That's a normal thought, but at some point the carousel comes to a stop and it's time to get off. And I think you kind of know when that is. And that's what needs to be contemplated. You know, is it time?

Also, what's the organization doing? You know, it's part of it as well. Sometimes the carousel goes.

You need to know when the carousel goes off. Does he actually enjoy his job? Does Aaron Rodgers like playing football or is he just a curmudgeon? The man started the season by talking about whether or not he's even going to be able to deal with his receiving corps. Whether or not those young guys were actually going to grow up and catch the football.

Or whether or not Aaron Rodgers was just going to go out there and just be pissed all season. And then he broke his thumb. And then they went on a five game losing streak. And then he was miserable. And then they went on a run. Until the final game of the season.

And they lost. In the Packers final game, watching Aaron Rodgers drape his arm around Randall Cobb and walk off of the field, it felt like and looked like a funeral. The only difference this time is he signed a contract last year. He signed a three year deal for $150 million.

And you can basically average that out to 50 per this upcoming season. He's earmarked and penciled in for $60 million. That'll be the most money made by a quarterback in a single season or anybody in a single season in NFL history. Now, I know Aaron Rodgers likes to participate in the ayahuasca. I know Aaron Rodgers likes to spend his time pontificating. If you just heard Aaron Rodgers, you heard the man talk about, it's not just up to me.

It's up to the organization. The organization spoke today. Brian Gutenkuntz spoke. And he made it very clear. Yeah, we want the guy back.

Listen to this. If Aaron wants to come back, he'll be here. He said multiple times this year that he doesn't think it'll be just his decision. Do you guys want him as your quarterback next year? Yeah, like I said in the bye week, I think I want all these guys back. That's part of that. He's certainly going to take some time.

I think that's fair. And as we work through this, I think as he takes his time, kind of makes his decision just on his playing career in general, then we'll get together and move forward that way. Oh man, everybody has to baby this dude. Everybody, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, we want him back. We want him back. Aaron Rodgers needs to hear, oh yeah, they want me back. They want me back. Yeah, they committed to giving me $150 million, but I need to hear them say it. We just lost. We didn't make the playoffs for the first time since 2018. Beg for me. Beg for me.

I don't know. Maybe they want Jordan Love. Brian Gutenkoontz was asked about that. He's like, well, what about Jordan Love? He's just like, yeah, Jordan Love, he played good when he actually played, but we're going to stick around with the four time MVP.

And Judgment Day is pretty much coming on what the Green Bay Packers have to do to get back to the postseason or what they do when Aaron Rodgers is done, when he actually is cooked. He had one of the worst seasons of his entire career after winning an MVP the year prior. He threw 12 interceptions.

12! Hasn't done that since he actually got a chance to step out onto the field and play. Yeah, after Rodgers, or not Rodgers, after Favre actually decided to hang him up. And so Jordan Love, the Packers have to make a decision on what they do with him. Not necessarily for this year, but picking up his fifth year option for 2024.

They have to make that decision by May. Tom flies, doesn't it? Remember when Jordan Love was selected? How Aaron Rodgers told the story about having to take a shot?

Are you that insecure? You're a damn good football player. You went out there and won an MVP after they selected him to stick it to the team. You won another MVP to stick it to the team, but you haven't performed up to par in the playoffs. Aaron Rodgers has shrunk in the playoffs. And so here we have a guy who's going right into the Hall of Fame.

And we're going to the Hall of Fame tomorrow, if he retired. It's like there's a little bit of an insecurity. It's a little bit of a I need my ego massaged. I don't think the Packers just woke up and gave you one hundred and fifty for three because they just wanted to look at you for a year.

They're trying to squeeze whatever they can out of you before you disappear. Because things aren't necessarily going to get better. Christian Watson ended the season on a high note. He started off by dropping footballs. He ended the season on a high note. Dobbs ended the season on a high note when he was out there and healthy. Bakhtiari, who knows?

I don't remember when he's been healthy consistently for a few years now. But you know what? If I'm the Packers, you got no choice. You got to play ball. If they felt ridiculously confident in Jordan Love. They wouldn't have kept Aaron Rodgers from last year. They'd have told him, Yeah, sure, go home. They came a point in time with Brett Favre, where they said, OK, dude, your time is up.

Just we don't need the back and forth games. We're going with Aaron now. Packers aren't that confident with Love. And now they've got to make a decision on whether or not to pick up his fifth year option by May. That'll be interesting to see what they do there. Guten Kunst has said, I'm not going to have both of them on the roster that damn long.

You just might have to. And at this point, they're just trying to hold on and squeeze everything that they can out of Aaron Rodgers before they hit the toilet. You know, the other day we talked about Mike Tomlin and the Steelers and how they were in a point of transition. And somehow, some way, even with a rookie quarterback, after a couple of years of Ben Roethlisberger being beat to a pulp, that Tomlin and the Steelers still had a winning season. When Tom Brady decided to go down to Tampa Bay and Bill Belichick had to go out there and coach you, me and Cam Newton on the offense. Somehow, some way.

Yes, sure. They weren't a great team. Not by any stretch. They were competitive. It made no sense. Even with a losing record on the season, they were competitive. It made no sense.

Why? Because of Belichick. I don't think that's in store for the Green Bay Packers. I think they might hit the skids unless Jordan Love is that guy. The Green Bay Packers situation might be a little bit closer to, I don't know, an Indianapolis Colts.

Except for they're going to have to do a little bit more than just plug and play veterans on their way out the door. The Green Bay Packers are going to have to figure out who the hell is leading them into the future if it's not Jordan Love. And so they have no choice but to play ball and to send Aaron Rodgers flowers and kiss his ass and remind him how much they want him, even though they can pay him 60 million dollars.

To me, it's just an embarrassing dance. Is Aaron Rodgers going to turn down 60 mil? Oh, he said, I don't need the money. Is he going to turn down 60 mil? And all the Green Bay Packers, they're going to say no to this guy? They're kind of married at this point. Unless you believe that Aaron Rodgers is going to demand or request a trade elsewhere.

That'd be fun now, wouldn't it? Another complicated Aaron Rodgers offseason. I think he'll stick around and I think we'll see him back again next year, looking miserable. Probably almost going to the playoffs, still looking miserable. And then after two seasons into his three year deal, taking everybody on the same ride again. Am I going? Am I coming?

I can barely decide. It's the life of Aaron Rodgers. It's the life of the Packers. They got to kiss his ass while everybody else gets ready to play football this weekend. It's the JR Sport Reshow here with you on CBS Sports Radio 855-212-4CBS.

That's 855-212-4CBS. I'll take your calls on Aaron Rodgers. We're going to talk about some individuals who are actually in the playoffs. We'll talk about the Niners, the Seahawks, the Vikings, the Giants, the Bills, the Cowboys, the Jags, the Chargers. We're going to get into it all.

We're just getting started. It's the JR Sport Reshow here on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio.

Music. JR wants to hear from you. Call him now at 855-212-4CBS.

That's 855-212-4227. We heard from a team that is not in the playoffs today. We heard from a team that typically would be in the playoffs. Today we heard from the Green Bay Packers.

The man running the show, Guten Kunst. He told the media, he was asked today, hey, hey, do you still want Aaron Rodgers? It's like, what are we asking this guy this question for? Because Aaron Rodgers stood around on Sunday and said, yeah, yeah, it's up to me if I come back, but it's up to them as well. What the hell are you all signing these contracts for? He's like, yeah, yeah, of course we want him back.

Of course. And so Aaron Rodgers, he feels wanted now. And so we go into another year of, is he going to come? Is he going to go? Is he going to stay? Is he going to retire? He just signed a deal.

I'd be surprised if he turned down the 60 million dollars for one more year. I expect him to be back. He just needed a little bit of love. He needed a little bit of affection.

He needed his ego stroked. And good for him. He'll come back next year. The Packers will probably go back to the playoffs and who knows, maybe he won't choke this time. One of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. One of my favorite players to watch. Until he started just, just being a super diva.

Being miserable all the time. Congratulations, a match made in heaven. The Packers kind of have no choice. I don't think things are going to get brighter whenever he does decide to hang him up.

855-2124, CBS Scott, it's going on from Arkansas. Yeah, so I was just wanting to talk about Aaron Rodgers a little bit. You know, you're talking about a guy that is a Super Bowl champion, MVP, a four-year NFL MVP. And you're talking about him like he isn't the first person to hang around a little bit longer maybe than they should. I mean, you've got all kinds of quarterbacks that may be hung around longer than they should.

But you never know what's going to come from it. You need to see that from everybody's all about Tom Brady and the GOAT. And I don't think he's the GOAT for one thing. But he's been talking about retiring for years. And so you've got Aaron Rodgers who's been talking about retiring for a few years. And he has the credentials to say that maybe he shouldn't retire.

And maybe he's plugging for attention, maybe not. But he has the statistics to own up to say that maybe I don't need to retire yet. And I mean, we're talking about people like Donovan McNabb, Troy Aikman, all, you know, there's a lot of quarterbacks out there that should have hung up their cleats early and they didn't. I think a lot of that is irrelevant. Look, Troy Aikman got knocked the hell out.

You know, we're looking at Tuatanga Veloa and his head bouncing off of the turf. And unfortunately, Troy Aikman, his career pretty much succumbed to the same thing. And so we can go down a long list of, I don't know, hold on a second, Scott. I let you speak uninterrupted for two minutes.

Here's the deal. We can go through 100 years of the NFL. And if you can start picking out guys from 90 years ago who stuck around too long, then God bless you. But in regards to right now, when it comes to his talent, and I think we all know his resume, I can sit here and tell you his entire resume dating back to Cal.

And so I'm very familiar of who he is and what he's done and what he has accomplished. Unfortunately, what has taken place over the past several years isn't so much an indicator of his talent or lost talent or he's another guy who's sticking around too long. That's not what came out of my mouth. But what I said was, here we are entering into another off season where he needs to go on a woe is me, spiritual cleanse, thinking about what he's going to do, needing his ass kissed before he returns.

I can't think of anyone who's necessarily gone around in the same regard, and certainly not Tom Brady, since I don't know, maybe the guy who preceded Aaron and his name was Brett Favre. Okay, maybe I can see what you're saying. But maybe I can see what you're saying. Well, thank you, Scott.

No offense, all NFL QBs are divas. No, no, no, no, Scott. That's not all. Let's stop there. No, not all.

No, no, no. So let's go through a list. Let's see. Let's see who every single quarterback is a diva. Well, let's just think about all the starters right now. Yeah, Justin Herbert, young guy, he's a diva. Let's see who else.

Joe Flacco coming off the bench. He is a diva. Zach Wilson, obviously, he's a diva.

He doesn't accept responsibility. Kirk Cousins, his teammates actually seem to like him. He is a diva.

Geno Smith, the comeback player of the year. He's also a diva. Look, we know everybody has to have a little bit of an ego.

And thank you, Scott, for calling up from Arkansas. Everybody has to have a little bit of an ego. Everybody has to have a little bit of confidence in and of themselves. Go ask Zach Wilson.

But there's a difference between being a jerk about it and just going out there and playing. Geno Smith has been humbled. You want to tell me that Geno Smith is a diva? Why, because he's a quarterback? Now, what are you going to correct it and say, oh, all legendary quarterbacks are divas? No, stop it. We got some dudes who just go out there and ball out. And Aaron Rodgers, this has nothing to do with his talent.

This man was complaining openly at the beginning of the year. Like, everything is just, oh, what about this and this and this? Just go play.

We don't need the soliloquies on the way out the door. Tether is calling from Green Bay. You're on CBS Sports Radio. Hey, Geno, how are you? I'm amazing, Tether. How are you? I am good. It is good to talk to you.

First of all, thank you for, as always, keeping me entertained out there on my Uber and DoorDash deliveries. Number two, you got one of the best producers in the history of the world, Go Shep. There's a lot to unpack with Aaron, man. I got to tell you, I loved this guy for a long time.

Of course, we all did, right? He gets a job done. He could throw a cross. It was like watching Brett Favre all over again for years. But I am off of the Aaron Rodgers Bolt, man.

It's about enough. So I watched this last year of him just kind of thrown in the towel. I didn't see him running nearly as much as he used to run. He used to run in for touchdowns all the time. I didn't see him start doing that until the end of the season when he actually wanted to try and win because there was a chance. He did have, throughout the course of the season, he did have a broken thumb. He did have a bad knee and bad ribs. Well, fair enough, I guess.

You got to protect some of those things. But sometimes it looked like he was even possibly throwing a game. Not possibly because of any specific reason. But why are you throwing to guys who aren't open when you have wide open guys through the middle who could take it an extra 10 or 15 yards? I know we had a lot of problems this year as a team.

But here's the thing. I'm starting to think that he's as useless as somebody sitting on the bench. So if we got to pay him $60 million dollars anyways, put him on the bench and let's get our backup guy going so we can see what he can do for us.

If we're going to have a quarterback or not for the next 10 years or if we're going to have to find somebody else. I just don't, I agree with you about this spiritual awakening he may need to have. I feel like ever since last year he's just been this hippie type dude who wants to sit around in a drum circle and chill. And he's lost his edge. I just don't, I don't think we need him.

I do think he's a little bit diva-ish. I don't think we should have to kiss his ass to keep him around and I'm not, I'm just not thrilled with him anymore. I'd like to see somebody else out there get started on their career with the Packers. So we can, you know, develop some new, you know, Packer quarterback wide receiver core, you know. I understand, but unfortunately they're going to try to get as many more miles out of the vehicle as they can. That's, that's just what it is. You know, if they felt the upside was better to just throw Jordan Love out there, then they would.

But they're not. 855-212-4CBS, Vlad is here from Illinois. Hey, how you guys doing? Excellent.

How are you? Well, JR, I think Rogers, you know, I give him respect, you know. I see him with the Bears behind every single year and, you know, I give the man respect, but it's time for him to go, you know. It's just, it's time to get Jordan Love or somebody else a chance.

That's it. Why do you think it's time for him to go? I just, you know, I, his ego, he's getting old. I can say the same thing about Brady. I just don't, you know, I just think it's time to give the other guy a chance. Because it's going to be the same issue in every playoff game that he's going to get eliminated and not be in the Super Bowl. Okay. Well, thank you, Vlad, for calling from Illinois. I don't think there's an issue with Aaron Rodgers and his talent. Not, not at all. He can still play football.

I think what has just kind of grated on people is more so his, his attitude. Zach is calling from North Carolina. You're on CBS Sports Radio. How are you, Zach? You good?

Hey, JR. What's up? I think, I think the Packers should move on from Aaron Rodgers. I'm going to base it on the stats, but he had, he had a pretty bad statistical year compared to other years. Sure, he's MVP. Yeah. What'd you say?

I said yes, absolutely. He's been an MVP. I think, yeah, an attitude's going to hold him back. And also, I don't really think he has, you know, anything to prove. Nor, I just can't see the Packers winning a Super Bowl with him. So, I just don't think it makes sense. And then they have, you know, Jordan Luck, where they drafted. I don't know why you don't give him a shot.

Well, I think they're trying to stay away from the toilet, man. They, they know that they have a better chance to win in the short term with Aaron Rodgers than they do with, with Jordan Love. The unfortunate thing for them is they will have to make a decision about his fifth year option.

He'll be on the team again next year. But what about, what about 2024? It's, it's getting kind of crazy. Zach, I appreciate you, man. That was an excellent call.

Yes, thank you. Thank you, Zach, for calling from North Carolina. Young Zach, Young Zach going to take my job.

I need to watch out. Bob is calling from Wisconsin. Go ahead, Bob.

Hey, J.R., how's it going? The thing I got to say about Aaron Rodgers is people don't really understand what $60 million is. The dude's getting $150,000 every day. Today, tomorrow, the next day.

I mean, every day of the year. How can you put this guy on the bench? You can't. Who's going to pick up that contract? Well, to save time, one of our callers said that in jest. What is on your mind specifically about Aaron Rodgers? I think we should have traded him when we should have been able to get more for him. But now if we do trade him, how much of that contract is the Packers still responsible for? I guess that's my question.

I don't have that answer. But what I do know is he will look like a complete disaster if he requests to go elsewhere. And then we can go ahead and write a new chapter for for Aaron Rodgers. You know, how much would they have to go ahead and and pick up off his contract? I believe none if they move his deal. But who's who's taking on $60 million of this dude's contract? Who's doing that? Who wants to pay a quarterback $60 million unless you really, really feel Aaron Rodgers is the last piece to send you to a Super Bowl? Who would that have to be?

And who would want to give up assets? What, the the New York Jets? Oh, my God.

That makes me makes me shiver and shudder just a little bit. Aaron Rodgers and in New York. Sounds like a match made in hell. This man is probably going to stick it out in Green Bay for another year and then we'll get to the saga one more time. It's the JR sport re-show here on CBS Sports Radio 8 5 5 2 1 2 4 CBS at the top of the hour. We're going to talk about the 49ers and the Seahawks. I'm going to talk to you about the Vikings and the New York Giants. I'm going to take a break. I'm going to get some more of your calls and then I'm going to tell you about someone who we got confirmation. That he's going to return.

I'll tell you who it is on the other side. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. What is happening, JR? Been listening to you for a little while now. Called it a couple times, man. The most sensational voice on the radio is you, JR Sport Brief.

No doubt about it, man. Call in now at 8 5 5 2 1 2 4 CBS. It's the JR Sport Brief show here with you on CBS Sports Radio. In about, you know, 15 minutes or so, we're going to talk about the 49ers and the Seahawks. Two teams that are actually going to the playoffs and they'll be in action tomorrow at 4 30 p.m. Eastern time. 49ers looking to go on another Super Bowl run and the Seahawks are just happy to be back here. Who would have thought that they would be in this position with Geno Smith?

Kudos to him. So we'll talk about that matchup at the top of the hour. We got a bunch of callers on the line with different opinions, some about Aaron Rodgers and others, etc. But before I get back to the phone lines, we talked about the potential return of Aaron Rodgers. The Green Bay Packers made it clear today that they want him back. Aaron Rodgers just a few days ago on Sunday made the plea that, yeah, I'll evaluate what I'm going to do. But it's also up to the Packers whether or not they want me back. And so here we have this this dance one more time, another season, except for there doesn't need to be a contract negotiation. This contract is there. If he returns, he'll get paid 60 million dollars. That's more than anybody's ever received in a single year in the NFL. Speaking of returns, this man actually let everybody know that he's returning in his name is Sean McVeigh.

Just a few days ago, he told everyone that he needs time to also evaluate what he's doing. His team just lost to the Seahawks to conclude their season, a 5 and 12 record. Everybody and their mother was hurt. Matthew Stafford, Aaron Donald, Cooper Cupp, the most important guys on the team suffered injuries. And even today, we started to hear rumors that Jalen Ramsey may not even return, that he might not be back. And so it appears that we might be moving towards a rebuilding situation. We know that the Los Angeles Rams have foregone many of their future picks. There's no first rounder for them this year just for that chance to win a Super Bowl.

And they did it. And so with Sean McVeigh having different options and opportunities. He didn't have to return, but he is heading into the Super Bowl last year. He talked about not necessarily sticking around forever. And then he won and then he needed time to contemplate whether or not he was going to return. And then he came back and everybody got hurt.

And then he thought about it again this week, but he will be back. And so let's see what Sean McVeigh can do this upcoming year. I think more importantly, let's see who can stay healthy for the Rams.

I think that'll be the telling factor. We're also entering into the is Sean McVeigh going or coming situation with him every year as well for the Rams. Let's get some more of your calls before we get into the 49ers and the Seahawks. 855-212-4CBS.

That's 855-212-4CBS. Patrick's calling from Houston. Go ahead, Patrick. Hi, how you doing? Good. First time caller, long time listening.

Thank you. Well, I believe that it's time for him to step down. But I agree with you a hundred percent with saying that that Aaron Rodgers is the best one for the Green Bay Packers to to win the game back into the playoffs. But the problem is that you got two teams that are getting better in their own division with the Lions and the Vikings.

So. I think they that they that Aaron Rodgers may need some more help on that offensive line to keep them upright. Oh, absolutely.

Without a shadow of a doubt. And we know the the NFC North is improving. The Minnesota Vikings might have their own problems and we'll get into that later on in the show as we talk about the Vikings and the Giants. But this is not the the cakewalk. This is not the Green Bay Packers that are just expected to go out there and win the NFC North.

Those those days are over. The division is competitive. We just saw what the Lions did. We just saw what the Vikings did. I will assume it will take the Bears a few years.

God knows what they do or do not do. But it's it's not a gimme. They're trying to squeeze whatever they can out of Aaron Rodgers and as they should. Coach, of course, call from Maryland. You're on CBS Sports Radio. Hey, how's it going?

They are not very well, coach. All right. Now, I just wanted to say, you know, Aaron Rodgers is the best guy, man. When you look at caliber type of quarterback, you've got to put that guy at the top. OK, but what you really got to look at is the systems this year. I don't think Aaron Rodgers threw over 300 yards. You did I'm saying. So we got to look at what are they doing internally?

That is good for his his his good his strengths. They lost the receivers. OK. They didn't even have those guys. So now they need to replenish and replace. But we still have the saga of who Aaron Rodgers is. Where I just need to do is he has to sacrifice. He has to kind of sacrifice his time and money for to get these type of caliber guys to get what he wants. But also, you know, the organization has to respect him. And that's what they that's what he wants. The other side is all about the respect. So I think we need to look at a little bit more internally on the strategic parts.

But like I say, you know, everything is not green on the other side. So let's stick with the caliber type of quarterback he is, because we already know what other young guys. Well, no, I think everybody knows what type of quarterback that he is. I think everyone is familiar with the talent that he's had around him or not has had around him.

I think the bigger issue is, is his attitude and his mindset and how how he speaks, how he behaves. Is he going to talk in limericks? Is he going to say that, yeah, maybe we should bench some of our wide receivers? Is he going to sign a deal for 60 million dollars and then come and go, well, I don't know if they want me.

And so we know he's good and we know about the talent around him. But it's it's almost like the boy who cries wolf. And there comes a point in time where it's just like, so just go, just go. If you're not confident, if they want you and if one hundred and fifty million dollars isn't enough and going to the playoffs isn't enough.

And they draft their replacement. They didn't tell you. Oh, yeah, sure.

They could have told you. But you needed to, you know, take some shots. Like, like, come on, bro. Fong is calling from Nebraska. Go ahead, Fong. And I just thank you.

Thanks for taking my call. So the whole Aaron Rodgers thing where everybody knows that he's a good, good quarterback. Right. But like the dramatics and all that stuff, like at the end of the season, like just this last game when it was done, he was standing around and looking up in the air and trying to, you know, like get the pity party from everybody watching the game. Like, I mean, he says he's retiring, so he might as well just retire. You know, I'm saying it's like back and forth like he's trying to get a feeler. He puts it out there. He's going to retire. And then the team is like, oh, no, we want you back.

Well, yeah, they want him back because they got to pay him sixty million. You know, like it's just crazy. It's more like a party and in a in a dramatic type of show for him, you know, like he's a great quarterback. I always say like you give Aaron Rodgers two minutes down one score.

He's he's got anywhere from like a 90 to 95 percent chance that he's going to run it all the way down and throw the ball and get it where he needs to get it to win the game. I mean, he's a he's a good quarterback, no doubt about it. But the dramatics and doing it year after year, it gets old, man, and he will try to compare him to Brady. Damn, Brady, you know, like he comes back and he wins and, you know, he gets mad and eat those iPads and stuff on the sideline. But he's a good quarterback, man.

Like, you know, what is like doing a pity party like this is one thing. This is one thing I think separates them. You know, Tom Brady can can have all of the dramatics on the field and throw iPads and throw it. But the difference. Hold on, Fong. Hold on, Fong. I know you want to hide my heart right now. I know. I know you're hyped. That's why I'm just I'm calming down just a little bit.

Here's here's the deal. His teammates. Don't complain about him. Right. He doesn't run around and yeah, he can he can be sad and miserable and and he has his own podcast and he goes through it.

But for the past several years, at least publicly, we don't get the full woe is me. Does he come out and is he miserable that he lost? Yes.

Yes, he is. But he's not taking us through the oh my God, this is so miserable. And I need them to tell me that I need to come back and that I'm wanted and that there's the difference in and of itself. So I believe Fong that he will return because I don't see this man walking away from 60 mil and I don't see the Packers saying, oh my God, well, we changed our mind.

It's not going to go down like that. I appreciate you, Fong, for calling from Nebraska. This that that's that's really the difference. Like, I feel like we're back in high school with Aaron Rodgers. Like he needs he needs to be told that he's loved. He needs to win prom king. He needs to be complimented on his shoes.

And it's like, man, you you to dude already, man. He doesn't realize that, though, J.R. It's what he's insecure. Yes. Yeah. He's like, chill out, bro. Being so miserable and sad.

Got four postseason home losses to prove it. Yeah. But what does he do when he finally calls it quits? Is he going to go away?

Probably not. What is he going to do? He wants to host something.

He wanted to host Jeopardy for the longest of time. Oh, my God. You remember that? I do. Well, thank God that's not going to happen.

All right. Maybe maybe he goes away. Maybe he does. He just goes and he he'll date the daughter of professional sports teams and he'll date some more people. And then he'll go into the South American mountains and drink ayahuasca. And then all will be well in the world for him, I guess. I don't know what Aaron Rodgers is going to do when he quits.
