For the ones who get it done. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. And we are coming to you live from the Rocket Mortgage Studios.

When you need cash out of your home and a simple way to get it, Rocket can. I can and will be here with you for the next three hours. Thank you all so much to super producer and host, Dave Shepherd. And thank you to everyone listening all over North America. How can you listen? Obviously, you can tune in on your local CBS Sports Radio affiliate. You can stay tuned in and locked in on the free Odyssey app.

That's A-U-D-A-C-Y. Thank you to everybody listening on Sirius XM Channel 158. And everyone's smart enough to listen on a smart speaker. But all you have to do is ask that computer, hey, play CBS Sports Radio. It's Monday, which means it's Monday Night Football. And right now, the Denver Broncos, the Los Angeles Chargers. It's odd.

16 all. Russell Wilson just got sacked. It's just ironic timing. This man is trying to lead a comeback and he gets driven into the ground. You must think that he is having flashbacks to his time in Seattle where he was just treated like a pinata. Man, we talked about individuals needing hugs in the first hour. Tom Brady needs a hug. Lost. Aaron Rodgers needs a hug. Lost.

Just sad. Everybody losing. In a few seconds, we're going to talk about someone who's not losing. A team that's not losing. The New York Giants. For the life of me. It's like the Giants get every break.

They're the comeback kids. It's like, hey, how did you get the five and one? Are you cheating?

You have some special potion? What's going on here? Because the New York Giants are five and one. They're not one of the best football teams in the NFL.

I'm sorry. Otherwise, they wouldn't have to keep coming back. Three out of their five wins have been comebacks at like the end of games. It means they're playing hard. It means that they're not quitting.

And how many times have you heard you are what your record says you are? That's accurate. But the New York Giants thinking that they at five and one are one of the best teams in the NFL. It's fool's gold.

Sorry. But you got to enjoy it while it lasts. The Giants have stunk over the past several years. Three coaches and five consecutive losing seasons and New York Giants are one of the flag bearers of the NFL. They're one of the Tiffany franchises, the New York Giants.

They've been a little bit of a clown show the past few years. And now they're five and one. And so we'll talk about them as well. 855-212-4CBS. That's 855-212-4CBS.

Let's go to Corpus Christi, Texas before we talk about the Giants. Let's talk to Sanjay. You're on CBS Sports Radio, Sanjay. What's up? Hey there. Can you hear me? I hear you loud and clear. Are you okay?

Yeah, I'm fine, man. So, you know, I was interested in the NFL and MLB and all that stuff. You know what's happening tomorrow?

The NBA season is opening and this is the NBA opening week. And that's really exciting. Sanjay, hold on a second. I would tell you to blink two times and let me know that you're okay, but I can't see you. Are you okay? Are you in the closet right now? Are you hiding from someone?

What's up? No. Okay, go on about the NBA season, please.

Yeah. Well, you know, this season is going to be interesting, man, because, you know, you got a bunch of different trainings. You got teams going everywhere. You got injuries. And then, you know, for the Western Conference, though, man, I feel like the Warriors have a really good shot at getting into the championship this year. Okay.

I would agree. They just won a championship. They're returning a bunch of young players. So you don't believe Draymond Green punching his own teammate is going to have a negative effect on a squad? Well, I think that's going to lose a little bit of trust in Draymond from players, but he's going to gain back over time. Seeing as he's a vet, you know, who knows most of the players and, you know, Jordan Poole isn't one of the type to start, you know, crying and whining over, you know, well, she should be talking about it.

But, you know, he's not he's he's not really going on about it. So, you know, well, we do know this and thank you Sanjay for calling up from Corpus Christi. Andrew Wiggins got an extension. Jordan Poole got an extension.

Hey, Chef, who didn't get an extension? His first name starts with a D and his last name ends with an N. Yeah, Draymond Green didn't get an extension. Though he's going to take that player option. You and I both know that.

Say again? He's going to take that player option because that's the most he's going to make from any team next season. Oh, yeah, almost 30 million dollars. Who's paying Draymond Green 30 million dollars?

Nobody. Yeah, he's going to opt into his deal and they're going to be stuck with him for one more season. He and T might. You think, well, not for 30 mil a year.

I mean, they cleaned up. I thought, I mean, Jarrah started sprinting this on you. I'm sure you saw this, but I mean, I thought Barkley was done after two years. All of a sudden I see he's signing for 10.

Extent? Well, listen, money talks. Jeez. Yeah, not for Draymond, though. Right, but you know he's the heir apparent. No such thing.

You can put somebody in a seat. That doesn't mean that they're going to, you know, live up to the billing. You don't think he's going to be the one guy when he retires that can literally say pretty much anything and that gets audiences and sponsorships and networks to love him and ingratiate themselves with him even more so? It's nice to think about where he is in his career as a quote unquote next Charles Barkley, Charles Barkley, and it's not even I don't want to say intentionally. Oh, my God, he he yearned for this when when he was at the end of his career. Charles Barkley is one of the greatest television personalities ever, regardless of the sport, the platform, anything from news. He is one of the greatest TV personalities ever and sort of think that Draymond Green. Yeah, as a player and a role.

Sure. But whenever Charles Barkley decides to shut up. That's it.

Nothing else after that, we what we're getting right now is extremely unique and I'm going to enjoy it. There's only one Charles Barkley and we all know he's a he's an interesting fellow. He's a funny fellow.

Yeah, this guy's insulted and joked on me before. So, I mean, what beef do I have with the man falling in company? You roast the ones you love, especially Charles Barkley. You think Charles Barkley loved me? I don't think Charles Barkley would go after you if he didn't really find you to be someone with high quality and what you do. Yes, I really mean that because I don't think he's that type of person. Well, thanks. No, he's a very nice guy.

Unless you're a jerk and he's throwing you through a window or Zion Williamson. Yeah. Yeah. By the way, you know, I was in New Orleans over the weekend.

Yeah, man. Zion, he has a big old sign on the wall and I'm just like, hey, can he play? Can we see the guy play?

I hope he is. Then he sprained his ankle. Good luck to Zion.

Also a nice guy on a diet now because he wants to earn his money. Anyway, speaking of earning money, New York Giants, new head coach, Brian Deball, earning every dollar, earning every cent. The New York Giants are five and one. They actually beat the Baltimore Ravens.

The New York Giants are like, Shep, I'm not good at this stuff. You know the movies, man. You know the movies, not me.

I mean, I would say they're like, I would say Rocky. No, no, no. No? No.

Was it Cinderella or something, right? Oh, I see what you're saying. She turned into a pumpkin and I'm mixing things up here, right?

Terribly. No, no, no, no, no, no. You're right about this. The cart turned into a pumpkin. That's right.

She had to be back by midnight, otherwise her crap would turn to garbage, right? Well, you know that, yes. I didn't know if it was Cinderella or Sleeping Beauty. I don't remember.

They're the same to me. No, no, no, no. Cinderella was with the stepsisters and the evil stepmom, but they all meet the prince at the end of it, though. So who was the one that the pumpkin turned to crap?

No, that was Cinderella, but it was the cartridge that she was riding in. It would ultimately turn into a pumpkin before the strike of midnight. See, I'm close. You're very close. That's the New York Giants right now. When does it become midnight for the New York Giants? Because the New York Giants are five and one, but they're the biggest pumpkin rolling around here.

Come back after come back after come back. The Baltimore Ravens had 211 yards on the ground. Lamar Jackson had two turnovers late in the game in Baltimore. They're used to blowing leads and turnovers. Just remember, a couple weeks, well, that was that week and the week before then, and there was two with the four touchdowns. Baltimore is used to choking away games right now, if their own head coach isn't being ridiculously aggressive in his own right. And so yesterday, it was Julian Love, a Lamar Jackson INT, a Saquon Barkley touchdown, and poof, that's all she wrote.

The Giants are five and one. And Lamar Jackson, he says, listen, man, we, yeah, you turn the ball over, but we, we continue to beat ourselves. We stopped ourselves a lot, a lot of missed opportunities out there, especially in the red zone.

I feel like we should have put more punts up, little hiccups here and there, and we got to fix those because that's, that's making a difference in our game. Oh, well, this isn't the Baltimore from a few years ago. They're not 14 and 2. Defense isn't the same. Offensive line isn't the same. There was a lot of talk about Lamar Jackson into his going into his contract year, this being his contract year, not having an extension. What type of beat down is this going to put on this man's wallet, knowing that they're not having team success?

Sorry. Yeah, there's a lot to turn around. It's only been six games.

There are 11 more to go, long season. Baltimore isn't looking like the cream of the crop. They look like they've taken a step backwards. Meanwhile, the New York Giants, they are taking a step forward.

Here's some facts. The New York Giants are a winning football team. The New York Giants are a good football team. The New York Giants are overachieving. They are what their record says they are. They're 5 and 1. They know how to execute a comeback in a do not quit. Despite this, the New York Giants still are not one of the best teams in the NFL. I'm sorry.

It sounds awful to say. I wouldn't be shocked if they just went on a losing streak after this. Brian Deball, though, new head coach. If you have to give anyone credit for this turnaround, it would be him because he didn't choose to select these players with Joe Shane.

He inherited them. And you want to talk about being a team player? Not letting Tom Brady just go to a wedding or giving somebody two weeks off? Brian Deball, he doesn't care who you are. He has the wide receivers, the ones that are healthy, competing for spots.

Sorry, Kenny Galladay. And he just has these guys balling out. He says the New York Giants, they're making progress. Each week we get a little bit better. We know we're a long way away, early part of the season, but we just try to compete and do the best job we can.

You're right, you're a long way away. I know Giants fans, they need to find something to be optimistic about. It's been terrible since they went to the Super Bowl. They tried to hold on a little too long with Eli Manning, and it didn't work out. They tried to hold on a little too long by drafting Saquon Barkley, and it didn't work out. Now you have Daniel Jones, you have to figure out what you do with him. You have Saquon Barkley. What do we do with Saquon Barkley?

Do we pay him? And it's a hard knock life. New York Giants are 5-1. And they have some good questions here. Next up, Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jacksonville Jaguars look like a decent football team for a few weeks, and their defense is still crap.

They lost to the Indianapolis Colts, 34-27 on Sunday. And I would say that the New York Giants, they have a good chance. They have a good chance of going 6-1. New York Giants have a chance here to potentially win the NFC East. Is that a realistic possibility?

The answer is yes. They went 4-13 last year. They started off 5-1. They went to London and beat the ever miserable Aaron Rodgers. They come back here, they're playing against the Ravens. You expect the Ravens to smash them.

They beat them. But I'm not going to drink the Giants Kool-Aid. Enjoy the wins, enjoy the W's for what they are right now. I don't see them lasting. And when it comes down to life in the NFL, you're either competing for a championship, or you're just waddling around in mediocrity. And the New York Giants, I would still say they're kind of average.

They're kind of stuck in the middle. Is Daniel Jones the long-term answer at quarterback? Probably not. He's good for right now. Not turning the ball over. Had two touchdowns yesterday.

But is he going to deliver you the ball in the big moments and the big spots? I'm not holding my breath on it. And so enjoy it, Giants fans. Five and one. You didn't expect to be five and one. But sooner than later, the clock strikes midnight, and you turn into a pumpkin.

Enjoy the ball. Hey Shep, how did Cinderella end? She ended up with the prince, right?

Yes, she did. Yeah, that won't be for the Giants, though. Oh, okay.

No, there'll be a pumpkin. Unless you're one. Yeah, but for this season. Okay, fair enough. Got it. It stinks.

What do you do? They're probably going to franchise tag Daniel Jones. This is another year of, oh man, do we keep him.

And now they probably will. But we still have 11 more games for him to A, turn the ball over, B, turn the ball over, and C, turn the ball over. And if we have to think about D, I'm going to say that Daniel Jones isn't someone who at the end of a game will consistently just bring you back into a game for victory. It's not what I think about when I see Daniel Jones.

I go, he is okay. I don't know if okay is good enough to win a championship. There were people who say Eli Manning was only okay.

Eli Manning had a different level, and it's like he had a cape, when games mattered the most. Maybe Daniel Jones will shock us, but despite being 5-1, it's a lot of fool's gold with the New York Giants. And the last thing that they need to do is invest heavily into players who down the road will not impact winning. When I say winning, I'm not talking about them accidentally being 5-1, coming back at the end of games. I'm talking about the New York Giants entering into a space where they're actually dominant, where you expect them to win.

That's not where they're at. Good luck to them. You've got to enjoy the victories when you can.

It's the JR Sportbree Show here with you on CBS Sports Radio. Speaking of victories, it's overtime. The Denver Broncos and the Chargers are still at it in overtime, a score of 16-all. Denver has the rock right now.

They're trying to put a touchdown on the board to put this game away. We'll talk about it and keep you up to date as it rolls on. And speaking of some other teams that unfortunately took some L's, similar to what the Ravens experienced against the Giants, the Dallas Cowboys, same division as the Giants, they lost.

And then the Chiefs, they went down as well. We'll talk about it and keep you up to date on Monday Night Football. You're listening to the JR Sportbree Show right here with you on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sportbree on CBS Sports Radio. Music You're listening to the JR Sportbree on CBS Sports Radio.

First time caller and listener. I'm loving the show. Your show is just absolutely outstanding.

I got to tell you, I've been listening to you and I've been feeling and agreeing with your flow. Call in now at 855-212-4CBS. It's the JR Sportbree Show here with you on CBS Sports Radio. Right before we went to break, we talked about the New York Giants. Five and one, they're not even the best team in the NFC East. That would happen to be the Philadelphia Eagles.

6 and 0. The team that they beat to improve the 6 and 0. Another team in the NFC East, their rival, the Dallas Cowboys. Philly is 6 and 0. The Dallas Cowboys fall to 4 and 2.

And I'm going to get back to that momentarily. This Monday Night Football game is still going on. They, they as in the Broncos and the Chargers, they're in overtime. 16-0. Both teams have had an opportunity to score a touchdown.

It did not happen. And so now we are awaiting a field goal to potentially go ahead and win this game. Denver has the ball. It appears that they're somewhere on their, I don't know, 13 yard line?

No, that's inaccurate. I think they're on their own 20, give or take. And so they got a little bit to go trying to set up a field goal to win this game. 33 yard line. Let's see what happens.

We'll keep you up to date with it. Back to the NFC East. Eagles win. Cowboys lose.

Hurts looks like an MVP. And I just hope, I hope this is it with all the Cooper rush talk. The man had three interceptions against Philadelphia. Dak Prescott made it very clear he plans to play the next game against the Detroit Lions. And if you needed a warm up for all warm ups versus any team, yeah, why not come back and return against the Lions? It's like playing a practice squad anyway.

So he should come back. Mike McCarthy, head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. He looked at the matchup against the Eagles.

He was not happy or thrilled at all with the penalties. Cowboys had 10 of them, 72 yards. They were the INTs. Mike McCarthy seemingly always battling for his job, working for Jerry Jones.

He said, it's simple here, folks. We weren't disciplined. I think like anything, the big thing we talked about in the locker room was just the emotion of the game. You knew that coming in and you got to be better in the discipline penalties. We had too many discipline penalties and we had three giveaways. Oh yes, stop it. The quarterback who you don't want to throw the football.

He had three turnovers. And sure, we can go ahead and pinpoint penalties. But the Dallas Cowboys, they need Dak Prescott back. Regardless of how you feel about Dak Prescott and what he will do or won't do in the playoffs, we know that he's better than Cooper Rush.

So if you're in that camp, just stop the sham, stop the charade. Dak says he's planning to play. And if I played football, I'd want to play against the Lions too.

It would be a good opportunity to walk away with a victory. Another team unfortunately that lost, and I was able to see parts of this game yesterday while traveling, the Chiefs, they went back and forth against the Bills until they lost. Kansas City Chiefs, they go down. Dawson Knox catches a touchdown for the Buffalo Bills.

Chiefs fall to four and two. And then the home's knowing that he didn't have the greatest of games. Well, not almost, he did throw an interception at the end of the game, not allowing them a chance or an opportunity to score. Mr. Magic Johnson with a football says, I made too many mistakes. As a great football team, I thought we played some good football, and we just made too many mistakes at the end of the day. And when you make mistakes against another great football team, you lose football games. And so it'll be good to learn from, but right now, I mean, it stinks.

You lose nobody, and I'm not drawing too much about this loss. We knew heading into the season that the Buffalo Bills, they were arguably the best team in the NFL. So much talent on offense, so much talent on defense. Defensive backs have been busted up and injured, and they're still one of the best. Kansas City Chiefs, could you say that they've taken a step backwards?

Possibly. Tariq Hill running around in Miami with the Dolphins. Juju Smith-Shuster, he just had, just had his best game now as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs.

113 yards and one touchdown, took him long enough. And spreading the rock around, it was just last week that Kelce had four touchdowns in a game. Kansas City has talent. It's always been about their defense. And so Buffalo wins. Their record is 5-1. Kansas City is 4-2. These are two teams that I don't think anyone would be shocked if we saw them once again in the AFC Championship game. And it wasn't a 48-45 shootout. This wasn't a everybody-get-a-score type game like we saw in the postseason. But Buffalo, for right now, they got the Chiefs' number. Let's see how it rolls as the season continues on.

I'm not going to say. This might be another quote-unquote almost Super Bowl. Give it a couple of months. I still think Buffalo has it, though. It's the J.R. sport re-show here with you on CBS Sports Radio.

Speaking of almost having it, oh, no. It's still overtime. Sixteen old Broncos and Chargers. Sub-five minutes left in the game. We ought to call a rich from Chicago basically say that Russell Wilson is washed. We're going to find out as he gets the ball and an opportunity to score. That's if he legitimately has the ball. We might have had a muff punt.

Who knows? It's hard being a winner. It's the J.R. sport re-show on CBS Sports Radio. When we come back, we'll talk about a team that will not have an opportunity to be a winner.

It's the Braves. No chance at a repeat. And speaking of no chance, I guess the ball is never going to bounce the way of the Broncos. Man. Shep, did you see that?

Unfortunately, I did, yes. You've got to catch that ball. Yeah, hard to catch a ball when your own teammate is blocking in front of you and knocks you over. He can't see what's behind him. He's just blocking. You've got to say, get out of my way, get out of my way.

There's not enough space for that. Gotcha. It's just a Broncos thing, man. What an ugly loss this is going to be. Should they be jerks and just kick the ball? Yeah.

I mean, if you're Dustin Hopkins, you've had a good night. Just get it over with. Don't make this harder than it has to be, right?

Well, we've seen Mr. Staley coach for the Chargers. That's a good point. He may try to go for it. I don't know. He may run the ball, run the... Huh? I hope not. I mean, they're playing with fire right now. He may run the ball, run the ball, run the ball, and then decide to kick it.

Who knows? Dustin Hopkins, by the way, tonight for the Chargers has made three field goals. And if he hits one more field goal, that will mean that the Chargers have won the game. But at this point, they're not doing anything but trying to set up for a game-winning field goal. Chargers are 3-2. Broncos are 2-3. And they might just go down with 2-4.

We'll see. It's the JR Sport Reshow here with you on CBS Sports Radio. When we come back, I told you it's hard to win. Since I've been speaking with you, since I sat down with you last week, the Braves have been eliminated from the postseason. The Dodgers are no longer in the postseason. And the Yankees and Guardians, they were supposed to play football, or excuse me, baseball tonight.

The rain set otherwise. We'll give you an update on that when we come back on the other side of the break. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio. You're listening to the JR Sport Brief on CBS Sports Radio.

I've been listening to you maybe 10, 11 months, and I always appreciate you being poignant, intelligent, and exactly when you have to be. Call in now at 855-212-4CBS. It's the JR Sport Reshow here with you on CBS Sports Radio. 855-212-4CBS.

That's 855-212-4CBS. Monday Night Football. It's a wrap. And tonight, a muff punt pretty much put a fork in the Denver Broncos in overtime as they lose to the Los Angeles Chargers 19-16. This wasn't an exciting game to sit down and watch.

Sure, 19-16 doesn't come across as some type of offensive fireworks show because it was not. The game literally ended on a muff punt. The Denver Broncos had an opportunity to receive the ball. One guy was blocked into another. The Chargers get the ball in their own pretty much half of the field, run a couple plays, and then pretty much this is the final call right here, courtesy of the Chargers radio network. All right, here we go from the left hash. 29-yarder for the win, Dustin Hopkins.

Snap, hold, kick is up, and it is good! Chargers win! That was a 39-yarder. The Chargers win, they improve to 4-2. The Denver Broncos, they fall to 2-4. And so what happens now? Well, people are going to continue to look at the trade for Russell Wilson from the Seahawks to the Broncos, and they're going to poo-poo it. It's too early. Got to give it some time. Nathaniel Hackett is still trying to figure things out.

He may, pardon the pun, he may not hack it throughout the course of the year or the season. This is the worst start for Russell Wilson to start his career. A 2-4 record, hasn't had one of these since, I don't know, 2015 with Seattle. I'm on Twitter right now, this minute, this second.

Some of these responses that I've received have been ridiculous. I said, do Seahawks fans laugh after every Broncos loss? I had a Broncos fan, shout out to Don Dre, he says, I know I would, and I am. Kyle Hopkins is laughing at his own team. The sports fiend tweets me and says, at JR Sport Brief, the NFL owes us so much for scheduling all these Broncos primetime games.

Their offense is unwatchable. Wasn't the thought to premise the idea of Russell Wilson being traded from the Seahawks to the Broncos, wasn't he supposed to cook? Wasn't he supposed to light up the score, how is he supposed to do that if he's still getting sacked? How is he supposed to do that? Uh oh, that's dangerous.

Mr. Unlimited, you got to be unlimited, you got to have a thought process of being unlimited. The offense is very limited right now, terrible. Broncos got into their red zone one time, they were 0 for 1. The Broncos committed 10 penalties, 151 yards, how do you win a football game with that?

You don't. Even still, they had a chance, they had an opportunity. And they lost. Yeah, Nathaniel Hackett, he might be one and done. 855-2124 CBS, that's 855-2124 CBS, let's go to Rochester, New York, let's talk to Steve. You're on CBS Sports Radio, what's up Steve? Hey, what's going on, how are you?

I'm amazing man, what's going on? Oh man, I'm feeling the fatigue of another Broncos prime time football game. I don't know man, I'm just not seeing what I was hoping to see out of Russell Wilson, going to a team where I guess I feel like a lot more was expected of him. He had less talent surrounded on offense than he did over in Seattle. I really thought things were going to turn around over in Denver, but I'm just not seeing it. You said Nathaniel Hackett might be one and done, I think Russell Wilson might be one and done over in Denver.

No, you're exaggerating, right? I don't know, I think he's not being protected, clearly. But you can't one and done the man, he has a deal right now.

Almost $300 million over seven years. What are they one and done, what are they supposed to do, what are they going to cut him? That's not happening, come on. I just thought I'd throw that in there man, I think we've seen Russell Wilson's best football and that's just my opinion.

Okay, well thank you Steve for calling from Rochester, New York. He is playing with like a slight tear in his shoulder. His wide receivers, they aren't necessarily stepping up. The head coach is a rookie head coach. The offensive line is still trying to protect this man.

I can go on and on. The one bright spot for the Denver Broncos, and we see this tonight, is actually their defense. They have had one of the best defenses, especially if you think about the corners. Even with Darby out, they've had a good defense. The offense has not caught up, maybe the offense will not catch up.

But it's still, and still is not the word, especially the quarterback getting so much money. One season, not prepared to bury them. I expected them to be average, and right now they're not average. They have a record of 2-4, they're below average, they're a bad team. It's a 17 game slate. Maybe the Denver Broncos can kind of inch back towards.500. Maybe they can have some success, but we also know they play in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL, in the AFC West.

And they just got beat by someone who they have to look at all the time. Tonight, Russell Wilson, 15 of 28 completions and attempts. Only 188 yards passing. The Denver Broncos only mustered 98 yards on the ground. Russell Wilson was sacked four times.

For this type of output, this type of production, for the abuse that he took, he could have stayed in Seattle, right? They have time. I just don't think that time will be this year.

Sorry. We're going to spend more time on the Broncos and the Chargers on the other side of the break. You will hear some more of the plays as these gentlemen walk to the podium and speak to the media.

We will share that with you here as well on CBS Sports Radio. The final score one more time. The Chargers, 19. The Broncos, 16. How did the game end? The Broncos didn't even get their chance, or another one of their chances. They muffed the punt. The blocker ran into the receiver on the punt, and Chargers got the ball, got the ball back, ran a couple plays. Field goal.

Everybody go home. And the Denver Broncos, they got to get back on the plane from Los Angeles to Denver, having taken an L. Taken an L. Speaking of an L, I got to get this in here real quick before we dive real deep into Monday Night Football. I was last here with you on Thursday.

Shep was here with you on Friday, and I know he did an absolutely amazing job. Well, since I've been gone, the Major League Baseball playoffs, they continue on, and we are not going to have a repeat champ. The Atlanta Braves were smashed over the weekend. They were pretty much smashed, period, in the divisional round of the playoffs against the Phillies.

They were eliminated in Philly, the final score, 8-3. So there will be no repeat, and the Braves and all my friends in Atlanta, at least they're relaxed for a little while. There's no New York Mets jokes for a little while. Both teams win 100 games, and neither one of them even made it to the National League Championship Series. The other team did it. Who would have thought the Phillies did it? The Phillies did. Brian Snicker, he gave them a lot of credit.

Go ahead, listen. We ran into a really hot team, pretty much. I mean, they're hitting on all cylinders. They're playing great baseball.

They got big hits. They shut us down offensively, and, you know, it's just, I think all the credit goes to the Phillies. I mean, they came in here, like I say, they got hot at the right time and, you know, played a heck of a series.

It is absolutely hilarious. Nobody talked about the Phillies at all. The New York Mets this. The Atlanta Braves this. The Phillies are the one coming out of the National League East. They're one step away from the World Series. And the other team that was expected to at least go on to the National League Championship Series. What about the Dodgers? They lose three straight to San Diego.

They go home. After that matchup, this is crazy. Either the Padres or the Phillies will be in the World Series. And Dave Roberts, knowing that they lost after another big season. He said the feeling stinks. Shock factor, very high. Disappointment, very high.

It's crushing. You know, each guy gave everything they had all year long and a tremendous season. And, you know, the great thing about baseball is the unpredictability.

And the tough thing about it is the same thing. Things could have gone either way today to impact the result of the game. It didn't. And, you know, we got beat in a series. Yeah, they got beat in a series. And now they go home.

Stinks. Who picked the Chargers? Or excuse me, we'll talk about the Chargers. Another team used to play in San Diego. Who picked the Padres? Picked the Phillies. One of them is going to the World Series. We got to see what happens with the Yankees and also the Guardians there. Not playing because of rain, but when we come back, we're going to get into Monday Night Football. I can tell you who's going home. The Broncos, back to Denver with a loss.

We'll talk about it on the other side. Anywhere fans go to cheer on their team, there are behind-the-scenes MVPs ensuring everything is game day ready. We see you, Joe, fixing seats so every fan can enjoy every game.
