Now, in honor of the one and only true God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, please join us for today's program. I don't apologize for preaching the truth. I ain't going to apologize because you ain't got no reward to give me. You sitting up here trying to defend LGBTQ. You need to repent to J-E-S-U-S. No, your problem is you're scared to stand for Christ and you yield and you compromise.

Welcome to Deserting the Times. Such a blessing to be with you once again this week. That opening clip was taken from a sermon titled The Spirit of Compromise. It was preached by Alton Williams, the pastor of World Overcomers Church in Memphis, Tennessee, on July 28th of 2024. So we're going to listen to more of that sermon on today because it is so greatly needed with the times that we are living in. And the sermon went viral, so you may have already heard it before, but it is certainly worth listening to many times over.

And if you haven't heard it, you're in for a treat. That is, if you are a lover of the truth because the church is compromised in so many ways today. And Pastor Williams does such a great job of addressing that and challenging people who profess to be believers and followers of Jesus Christ to stand for Christ and do not compromise. So we'll get back to that sermon shortly. But before we do, I need to remind you that your eternal state is far more important than your current state. If you've already received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, but maybe you are struggling with disappointments in life because maybe your marriage has not played out the way you had hoped for, dreamed of.

Maybe the home that you had dreamed of, maybe the children, your career, whatever it may be, maybe those things have not lived up to your expectations. But I want to encourage you today that the best is yet to come because you're going to spend eternity in a perfect kingdom in the presence of our Lord that is going to exceed any expectations that you could ever dream of on this side of life. So I want to encourage you that the best is yet to come. So don't grow weary with the weight of this side of life. But for those of you who have never received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, maybe for you, life has been going well.

Maybe things are meeting your expectations, but I want you to know that for you, the worst is yet to come. Because if you leave this side of life without having received him and of the age of accountability, you will spend eternity in the lake of fire separated from him. So I want to encourage you today. Please give your heart to Jesus Christ on today. All right, folks, let's return once again to the sermon again, preached by Alton Williams, pastor of World Overcomers Church in Memphis, Tennessee, speaking on the spirit of compromise. What blessings?

This is Luke 6 22, New Living Translation. What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man? The blessing don't look like it because people are going to make you feel bad, but somewhere it's a blessing. And the Bible says great is your reward. Now I'm telling you, my message today is probably not. Some of y'all, most y'all ain't feeling it because this is a message for people to love God.

Amen. This is a message for people that want to please God. And I know a lot of people just go to church and your mind is not on. There are some things you don't compromise as a Christian. You don't compromise your convictions, your godly values, your standards, what the word says. You don't, you don't, you don't compromise the lordship of Christ. You don't compromise your morals as defined by scripture. And you don't compromise what God calls holiness. There lies the problem with the church. We have lost the standard of holiness in the church. I'm hearing some of everything come out of different pulpits.

That's not God. The world is influencing the church more than the church is influencing the world. The world has seeped in with their stuff and it has caused us to be cold toward God. That's what's going on. And so now your beliefs that you're getting out of the world, you bring it into church.

And when you hear somebody deal with it from right from wrong, you think somebody is being unloving. No, I'm just preaching truth. I'm seeing gospel artists compromise. I'm seeing preachers bringing wicked music in the church that's got profanity in it. That's got all kind of illicit sex in it.

And people dancing around the altars to that music on a Sunday morning. I'm seeing people preach favoring abortion. Even to the ninth month, meaning five minutes after the baby is born, you still got the right to let a doctor drill a hole in the baby's head. Late term abortion now, they are wanting to allow.

That means the baby is fully formed. He's a truth. And see, here's a lie the devil used.

A woman should have the right to do what she want to do with her body. That's the lie. That's the lie. I got five kids. All five of them got separate bodies from their mama. That mean the only way you can get in the earth, you got to come to your mama's womb. There's a separation of your body from your mama's body. But the devil uses it to say this is your body.

Women, you can do whatever you want to do. And that sounds right. Notice how smart the devil is.

It sounds true. Now, if you get pregnant, the Bible says at conception that life comes from God. You don't know what you killing could be the next president of the United States, maybe a person that's got a cure for cancer. You don't know what you killing because every life that comes in this world, God got a purpose for it. I'm not trying to make you feel bad if you have committed an abortion, if you've repented of it. You're going to be all right. God will not hold it against you.

The blood will wipe it out for you. One woman who had committed several abortions when she was in the earth. God gave her a vision and showed her the two children, two or three children that she had aborted.

They were there at the throne waiting there to speak to their mama. And now it was no condemnation against her because she had repented. God says it's wrong. I don't care what the world tells you. When you kill a child, listen to me, it's murder. The world ain't going to tell you that, but it's murder. You've taken a life at any stage.

Once conception comes, God is the one that placed that child there. I know you all don't like it. You can get quiet up in here.

I know you don't like it. There's a passage scripture that I sent us to my preacher friends that are watching or listening on the radio. The Bible says in John 12, 43, they love the praises of men more than the praises of God.

That's what's wrong with our poor pits. People protect their bishop title. Or they want to protect their little fame or they want to protect their little glory, their title.

They don't want to let it go. So that means I got to preach in line with what all of my other buddies are preaching, rather than preach the truth, not realizing they got to give an account before God. I had to make that decision years ago. Been there.

Done that. Where I wanted to compromise the truth because I knew people were not going to agree with it. And there were times before I got strong in the Lord where I did. And I had to repent before God. But I made a decision. You all just don't know when your conscience and your inner man, you trying to do one thing, but some on the inside of you is constantly talking to you.

And you got to go against that voice. I don't apologize for preaching the truth. I ain't going to apologize because you ain't got no reward to give me. You sitting up here trying to defend LGBTQ. You need to repent to J.E.S.U.S. No, your problem is you're scared to stand for Christ and you yield and you compromise.

Lord, help me. I've lived it and I've gone through it. I know what it means. I've been persecuted. I've paid a price for people not liking you, not wanting to help you, want to stand against you. I've been through it. But some way or another, God keeps bringing you out and keep on blessing. I've been lied on, talked about, mistreated, all of that. Ain't got no friends, one or two in the ministry that I have. I had to leave all of that. But he said, if you follow me and obey me, you may lose houses, mother, father, sister, brother or friends.

But I'll give you back a hundred fold. I'm in the house up in here right now. Oh, so y'all take a stand when you're in church.

Oh, here we go. I love the Lord. He heard my cry. I'm baptized, filled with the Holy Ghost. I speak in tongues. Yeah, you can do it around everybody else in church because it feels safe. But the issue is, what will you say out in the midst of that world? Will you stand up for Christ when you're out before the world? That's what lets us know where your commitments are.

Church is bowing. Here go the hard part right here and I'm finished. But this is the tough part.

Y'all ain't gonna like this part. But there are two gods that the black church, and I don't like to say black church because God don't divide his church black and white. We all a part of the church. But I'm saying it to give reference to the African-American churches, two gods that many are bowing to today and that's the god of LGBTQ and the god of blackness. People are made of God out of color. In other words, I got to be with my color. I got to stand with my color, meaning I reject Christ.

Color gonna get you in trouble. I'm not saying you don't love your people, but if my people go contrary to my convictions, I can't stand with you. Come on somebody, say amen. Church is bowing to this LGBTQ thing. Yes they are.

I'm seeing it happen all the time. What they did, here it go, they pushed LGBTQ on black people. And now in order for you to be in line with black folk, you got to almost accept LGBTQ. Preach Holy Ghost. Here's what hurt me.

Now I'm finna say it to you, ain't gonna like it, but I'm giving you truth. When Obama put the colors on the White House, acknowledging this nation honors LGBTQ, I saw black folk and black preachers compromise. We got to accept it because our black president goes a long way. I don't care what president, what color he is, if you ain't in line with God, I can't stand with you. And that's what's causing y'all. Yeah, I'm preaching up in here.

You're getting off with God because you're trying to stand with black. I can't vote for a party that is for all kind of sexual perversions. I can't do it.

I can't vote for a party that's going to accept transgenders going into women's restrooms. I can't do it. I can't do it. I can't go with a party that wants to cut the girls breasts off to make them boys. I can't go with a party that says you can be a boy today and a girl tomorrow. I can't do it. I can't do it. I support a party that wants to remove God from its party platform. You in trouble when the nation forgets God. I can't follow a party that wants to sexualize our children in school, put drag queens in front of them, reading them little children's stories.

I can't do it. I can't support a party that wants to take the rights of parents away. In California right now parents are being arrested because they won't go along with the sexualization of their children. But there are many parents that are compromised. Y'all got to make a decision.

It's either God or the devil. And when you vote, you try to ignore it and say it ain't no big thing. But when you vote for people with these convictions and they get in office and they start doing these things, you got a responsibility for it. If you've compromised in any way, you need to repent. Stand up on your feet and give God some praise.

Come on, give the Lord some praise if you will. You can't separate your politics from your biblical worldview. It's my biblical worldview that determines my politics. You vote for whoever you want, but you're gonna have to stand before God and give an account of what you're pushing on this country.

Because when all this stuff gets pushed, it's gonna bring this nation down. Father, thank you today. And I pray that I have preached in a way that pleases you. We've all at different times, Father, have fallen and we have compromised and done wrong and knowing that we've done wrong. And on behalf of these people, we repent today to you.

And we tell you that we're sorry. Some of us innocently did not know. But some of us did know and we did it anyway. I thank you for your grace.

Thank you for your grace, God. Some of us, we didn't mean it. We didn't know. Some of us were ignorant about what we were doing.

We didn't know. But let it be known today that we love you and Wunsee loves you. You are Lord over this house. And we give you praise in Jesus name. Put those hands together. Come on. You got something out of that today.

Give God praise today. Here's how you deal with compromise. Five quick points. First thing you want to do if you know you've compromised in some kind of way. God's commandments. Repent.

First step. Second thing, be truthful about your heart. Tell the truth to thine own self.

Be true. Third thing, you got to make a quality decision that you're going to do. And you're going to live a life contrary to compromise.

You've got to make that decision. Number four, ask the Holy Spirit to convict whenever you're about to do it. Whenever you're about to compromise or do something wrong, ask the Holy Spirit to come help you and to convict you.

He'll do it. And then lastly, you got to avoid, separate yourself from people that you are connected with that's living compromised lives. If you ready to stop gambling, you got to get away from your gambling friends. You got to go snip, snip.

Cut the ties. I love you so much. I pray that you've been blessed today and I will see you on Wednesday night. Amen. Amen. And amen. I tell you, there is nothing more that I need to say about that because Pastor Williams just went all in and speaking the truth.

I'm just going to talk a little bit more because I have more time for the show, but there's nothing more for me to add. Only that I will add one thing to the list that the good pastor stated is that I will not vote. I cannot vote for a party that wants to divide the land of Israel.

And that is in the party's platform to divide the land of Israel. And that is doing nothing but incurring the judgment of God because he warns what will come to nations that do so. But, you know, folks, the sad thing about listening to this sermon is that the reason this sermon has gone viral is because it is so rare to hear a pastor speak in this way, to hear a pastor speak this type of truth from the pulpit. The thing about it is it should not be viral because it should be the norm.

But it is viral because people are saying this is so great. Those who are waiting for someone to stand up and speak this type of truth, and that is really an indictment on pastors in our nation, that there are so many that the large majority will not stand up and speak the things that this pastor was speaking. But we have to remember, folks, that we were created to serve God. But many today who profess to be Christians behave and speak in a manner as if he exists to serve us.

It's all about what he's going to do for me. But no, we were created to serve him. Our lives should be for his glory, for his honor.

In Ephesians 1 and Philippians 2 both say that we were created for his good pleasure. So what that means is we are to change in order to obey his standard. When our desires do not line up with his ways, we are the ones that change to obey his standards, not vice versa.

But the problem is we have humanism that has invaded the church today when it's all centered about us. What is God doing for me? How is he going to bless me?

How is he going to fulfill my desires? Nothing about what are we going to do to sacrifice our desires? How are we going to deny our desires and what our will is in order to serve and to worship him?

That is what we should be thinking. That is what we should be willing to do and we should be willing to suffer for his honor. Meaning we do not compromise because God's truth trumps identity politics and it is identity politics. And you heard him make the reference to the God of blackness. And he mentioned that because for those of you who are on radio or podcast, you can't see Pastor Williams. But if you couldn't tell, he is a black man and he is speaking to a predominantly black church. And he's saying this because many have been influenced today by this God of blackness. Many professing Christians, both black and non black. Because what I saw as he made the reference to Obama was that blacks and non blacks voted for him.

Despite the things that he supports, the things that he said he would legislate into law that go against the word of God. They voted for him because of the color of his skin. Because I saw blacks that said we we want a man who looks like us. I don't care about what he believes in.

We just want someone that looks like us. And then I heard whites say, well, it is time for a black man to be president. Regardless of what the policy states. And then we see the repeat that is happening right now when it comes to Kamala Harris.

There are people saying it's time for us to have a woman of color in the White House. But folks, partiality is sin. And as the pastor said, you need to repent if that is something that you are participating in. But I want to encourage you to view this entire sermon because it is such a a sermon of truth. It just brings so much joy to my heart to see a pastor in a church that has not given in to the ways of the world. And that is not compromising, but is embracing the truth of God's word. And folks, we just saw with the Democrat Party National Convention, a mobile abortion unit for abortions and vasectomies.

That is where our nation has sunk into this type of depravity and evil, that a major party in our nation is promoting abortion and vasectomies at its conventions. The pastor said it is either God or the devil. You must make a decision today because we all must stand before God and give an account someday of what we did on this side of life.
