How much does this special counsel speak to the commitment of this Department of Justice and this AG to that very truth? Well, it speaks to the fact that the AG is in fact running a blue-sized department. Again, there is no predicate, there is no basis for the beginnings of a special counsel given the things that Garland said were his basis to do that. Regarding the election matters, there's plenty of state investigations going on. There's no need for them to be sticking their nose into there. From the standpoint of these documents, again, from the very beginning, whenever that happened, actually what they should investigate is how it is that they issued a search warrant.

There's a very real possibility that there was in fact no probable cause to send the FBI over there for the reasons that we just talked about. That is the President's authority to manage those documents, and if he did what he wanted to do while he was still President. And of course, there's the long tradition, I don't know, dating back at least to Franklin Roosevelt. And actually, Thomas Jefferson took most of his stuff home when he left. They didn't even have a Library of Congress started at the time.

Ultimately, Jefferson donated his library and his books to the beginnings of the Library of Congress. People don't understand that, yeah, this is a long tradition, a long-standing thing, going back a couple of hundred years. And so he had a thousand pieces of paper from what I understand.

There's only 11 that are available. So it doesn't, Greg, we're in a very sorry place with this investigation thing. So we talked about it in terms of it being a tradition, but one of the things that I have heard that is running rampant on the Beltway is that one of the reasons President Trump announced when he did, his decision to announce this early on, which is, I mean, it is a little early. But nonetheless, for him to announce this early is because his people had told him and he heard the same thing, that they are planning to do another raid on Mar-a-Lago. And this time around, they're planning to arrest him.

And his sense was or his feeling was that he would have a better opportunity to make a public position or battle of this as a candidate versus just as the former president that, you know, this whole cabal has decided that they're going to go after. Do you think, can you see them indicting him? That's actually from in terms of Trump's decision, it's actually a political calculation. It doesn't really have any legal effect. While there is a tradition, again, and there's an internal policy to execute and do investigations that may affect an outcome of an election, those are internal regulations.

They're not the law. So there's nothing that prevents the Justice Department from harassing and investigating or indicting a candidate, although the candidate now has a bigger platform, bigger megaphone to complain about it. And it may want to make them think twice about doing such a thing. But there's no legal implications in terms of what Trump decided to do. Those were political calculations. And then the other side to this is, is that while like we have discussed, the fact that he was the president and that he took these documents with him as the president and so on, there are still some technical issues that they could try to trip him up on as it relates to the letter of the law.

There may be some sort of, again, they look for process crimes. And I don't know for a fact, whatever kind of documentation is supposedly required of the president to determine whether something's classified or not. I'm not seeing that there's actually a paper that he has to sign or if he just redacts and takes his little black sharp. I don't know what the technical process is, but the president's authority and the area is something that I would describe as plenary. That is, it is not something that it's not derived from a, it's derived from his constitutional status as president.

It does not derive from any authority that's created through statute. In which case, their argument on any of this is just facetious, you know, because he does have that authority. And he left before January 20, we know that. Right.

If he left the town before January 20 and this got shipped, well, clearly he was the president when it went with him. Yeah. And that doesn't change. All right. Well, we're going to, Well, we will, we will have to watch this very closely and see what, what happens next. I just want to say to everyone listening, please don't allow them to bait you into something and overreact. If an arrest happens, I'm just forewarning you, if that happens, do not overreact. Don't let this be the trigger point because that is exactly what they want. Martial law and no election. That's what they're looking for. And, and, and a new Congress not being sworn in.
