Lots of information. And I want to get right to our segment because we've got some, as my guest has shared with me, light fare. I want to welcome Ken Thornburg, who is the founder of Freedom Encounters, my mentor and my good friend in deliverance ministry.

Ken, welcome. Good to have you. Hey, it's always great to be with you, Drake. You know that. I do.

And it's always great to have you. We do. We do.

Well, and so relative to this light fare, I hear this statement a lot. And I think it's because the church has become afraid to talk about particular issues. We get into a conversation about sodomy and the argument is, as well, you know, what about shellfish? I, you know, I, I, I am, I, I'm, I don't even, it, it, the words fail, right? I mean, I think so.

You know, well, well, you know, you want to talk about sodomy, but what about shellfish? I mean, are you, are you, are you really, is that really what you think the response should be? Can, can you be, are you, are you, I mean, I think the next time somebody says that to you, what you need to say to them is, is are you serious?

Are you actually serious? I mean, look at yourself in the mirror, imagine the sodomy piece and imagine a piece of shrimp and tell me that somehow there's relationship. Because Paul addressed this, Ken.

Yeah, he, he, he certainly did. And you know, so you and I have been looking through Romans chapter one. It's a, it's one of those chapters with good news and bad news.

And they're both equal. The bad is just that bad. And the good is just that good. And you know, in the realm of spiritual warfare, in the realm of what information is coming out, John Eldredge, you know, and I have become acquaintances and he's written a book called Resilient, that really deals so much with what is happening this post pandemic era. And in our new cultural realm, of course, Jonathan Cahn just came out with the return of the gods have been watching those DVDs lately.

And powerful it is in the leaders in so many areas are absolutely picking up on what time it is. The thing that has interested me, we can talk about what some of these scriptures say, and the meaning behind the based and reprobate and so on. The thing I want to bring out to people is that the demonic realm is really, I believe, full and complete. Now I believe that all of those spirits and I could be wrong. It's an opinion I have honest God tell the public, the Lord has told me I don't have an opinion.

So this is the opinion that I don't have. But I believe because of what time it is, I think it's a pretty good chance that all of the spirits that were going to come out of hell for this last moment, this last time just before Jesus comes, I believe they're all out. Now, of course, I could be wrong, there might be a few more that are going to be showing up.

Probably not a lot. But here's my point. There's enough out here now that they are working like they have never worked. I believe in the history of this planet, to cause the public to accept a new norm.

Sure. I mean, 50s, even the early 60s. Yeah, we, we weren't anywhere near where we are now probate as a culture as a society as we are today. And let me ask you this, would you say that that the church's go to sleep response or wait for the rapture response is what God is looking for? You know, this is what has happened. What, what has invaded Christendom?

I haven't even mentioned this to you or on the show before. So this is really new. But there are what are referred to as last day spirits. Last day spirits only work on one group of people, followers of Christ. The job of the last day spirit is indicative of that poster that goes way back.

Probably a lot of people still remember it. There's this cat hanging on this pole or something. He's just hanging there.

And he's like, like, look at like a totally scared cat. And it says, hang in there, baby. That's what it says on the poster. Okay.

And that's what the last day spirit is for is to get Christians just hang in there just long enough until Jesus comes. Don't do anything. Don't say anything. Just hang in there. Don't engage.

Don't don't don't get involved. Just just just just just hang in there because because you just all you got left in you is is the ability to just hold on. That's it. And yeah, he's going to come and rescue you and you're gonna be zapped out of here and everything will be wonderful. And that is the number one message of the last day demonic spirit.

Wait a minute. Wait, did you say did you lie? Wait, did you did you say the last day demonic spirit? Did I hear last day? The demonic spirit demon? Ah, so they're so these are not good guys.

No, no, no, no, no. And they have flooded the earth right now. For this moment, actually, they've been around for a couple of years now. And their job is just to get believers to hang on, say nothing, do nothing, be just that dumb and happy. Drink your coffee, go to your movies, whatever you're going to do.

But don't get involved. Just wait until Jesus comes down, rescues you the rapture takes you. And presto, you missed the worst of everything.

Wow, which is so much garbage. I can't believe I mean, how people could be seduced by this demonic spirit is beyond me. I hadn't even planned on bringing it up today.

So obviously, this wasn't my opinion. I'm gonna blame it on God because I tell you what, that was nowhere in the same solar system, in my mind when we hooked up this morning, but I think it's extremely beneficial and helpful. That spirit wants us to happen so that society isn't white and black. It becomes the white becomes gray, red morphs. Right. Thank you, Lord.

I love that word morphs into black. So that even the church itself is not spotless, is not walking in righteousness. They're walking in compromise, Greg.

And would you would you say that the church walks in this compromise? Because going back to things that you and I've talked quite a bit about, they don't understand the full measure of the power of Jesus Christ, what he did and what he accomplished on that cross. And that and what he is offering them, right, his promises, is always being there and never leaving. He doesn't go on vacations. You know, I have to dial him up like Bob Newhart would do, you know, and his, his program is a Oh, God, oh, the lines busy.

You know, his lines never busy. We have allowed the enemy to convince us that we are alone, that we cannot rock the boat, because that will not be a good witness for Christ. So I put a point, I says, you know, as the frog gets thrown into cold water and warms up.

Today, Western and Eastern cultures are pretty much. Well, we, we have this issue, right, where where we, you know, if we don't believe that Jesus Christ completed the work on the cross, if we don't believe that that that sin can be overcome, and if our confession is I'm a sinner saved by grace, then my confession is a compromised salvation. And what hope do I actually have to offer anyone else other than join my club where you become very aware of your failings?

I'm, you know, irrespective of what you think about where we are in last days, spiritual warfare and knowing how to tear down the structures of the enemy and how to change, literally change the course and direction of your family's future by destroying curses, spells, ties, generational issues, marks, vows, seals, contracts, assignments. Look, if you're a believer, I promise you there is a, is a witch cult, a group of witches that are praying against you. They know where you go to church. They watch you walk in for all intensive purposes.

Some of them might well be sitting in your church, taking notes on who's doing what in the church so they can go back to their coven and they can craft curses and spells and ties to mess you up and to make your church ineffective or or at least to slow it down, to cause dissension, unforgiveness, all kinds of things, ultimately to break down the ability of the body of Christ to do what it's been called to do. Or I knew this, but I didn't know it like this every single time. All right. We got to get into what you wanted to share, because you're not even going to get into your notes. Yeah. Now you've got about three minutes. Oh, thanks. I know. I know. Speed talk my time again. Speed talk, speed talk.

Yeah, I wish I could do that. Well, I was talking about that frog in the new norm and our job is to guard our thoughts, we have the mind of Christ. But having something doesn't mean that we started up, I can have a Porsche in my garage, but if I never turn the key and lift the garage door and go drive, it doesn't do any good to have it. So the same thing with the word of God. And if people were to go to Romans Chapter one, you'd realize that America is a Babylon today, largely because of a compromising church. The enemy just wants us to sit back and allow the new norm to become our norm and they can't and God's watching. He's listening. He's checking you out. Are you watching nothing but R rated films?

He knows. Are you just reading things that are full of trash? Are you spending all your time on your phone and no time in prayer, no time in the word of God, because I don't have time. That is the lamest excuse in the world, and this was why I believe that America has become a Babylon.

And Greg is because the church isn't standing up. The church is not really practicing the gifts of the Spirit, the fruit of the Spirit, especially in the area of self-control. We have to exercise as self-control. The enemy just says, oh, you're not spending that much time on my phone. I've got a seminar and data on it that I share with people called the Idolatry of Human Desire. And then that it says people think they spend an hour a day on their phone when they actually put the test to these people.

Yeah, it was four and a half to five. People have absolutely no clue. And then they say they don't have time for God. That's nonsense. What does the word here say?

Oh, man, I wish we had more time. It says that God gave them over three times in Romans one. God gave them over. God gave them up. This is God gave them up to what? To a debased mind. He gave them up to their own flesh and their own will, their own passions.

It says in Romans Chapter one, God gave them up. Yeah, they had a choice, right? And even people call themselves Christians are making those choices. And God doesn't force us to become what he created us to be.

Yeah, he lets us make that choice. And we do a lot of it based upon what the enemy is telling us night and day. Thinking that they are our thoughts, folks. They are not your thoughts, especially if their sentences start with the word you.

Every class that you get that starts with you is the enemy. Well, and that's where deliverance is so critically important. Get to freedom encounters and understand how deliverance can benefit you.

Thank you, sir. Always happy to be here on Tuesdays with you. And of course, last Tuesday I was trying to figure out what in the world to do about about getting you on the air and I couldn't do it.

And I was pushing every button on the bed. So I'm glad we got it figured out today. And I haven't got a text yet that we have dead air. So I think we're in good shape. Hey, I like it.

I like it. Well, it's always nice to get the feedback from from our listeners when they say, hey, I'm not hearing you. So I mean, it's you don't want to hear that.

Let me let me let me clarify that. You don't want to hear them say, hey, I don't hear anything. But it's it's nice when they let you know that. So you're not sitting there going, oh, boy, that was a great segment we just did and nobody heard it.

It was. Yeah, nobody heard. So I've got a question for you. And we have we have been we've addressed this in a number of different ways over the couple of years that you and I have come together on Tuesdays or whatever day it was, but it seems to be rearing its ugly head and maybe even a little bit stronger now. I heard this call to Glenn Beck. Everybody knows I'm a big Glenn Beck fan and I was listening to Glenn on Friday. And we had we had the caller call in and he said, you know, he said, my wife goes to a lot of these music, Christian music events and and is really into this new I call it new, but into the music videos, the Christian music videos and the big worship scene that is really exploding now. And she said that the Christians now there is a tendency in the movement among Christian groups to say, look, we've got all the prophecies are coming true.

Things are happening. The Lord is coming here in the next day or two. And so therefore, you know, all we need to do is hunker down and wait for Jesus to come and that really there's no reason to get engaged in any you know, anything at the school or your county or your city level, because, you know, Jesus is going to be here any minute now.

And so there's no point in being engaged. What's your I'm just going to give you the floor, Pastor Greg, take off on that. Sure. Well, you know, it's interesting when I got to Bandara in 2011 and and and God gave us some some really, you know, neat favor with with government entities. I started doing the invocation for city council and county commissioners and so on. And I wanted to do a concert up here, a Christian concert. And so I started kind of, you know, talking that around. And at the time I had met Mike Novak years ago, who was then the CEO of K-Love.

And so I reached out to Mike and I said, hey, I'd really like to do this concert, you know, here. And he said, well, talk to our folks in San Antonio and so on. And in that conversation, we were talking about, you know, the the music markets.

And he said, because the other thing was, is that not long after that I'd reached out to him about my chosen generation radio show. And I remembered him sharing with me that San Antonio was the the top market for K-Love in the country. And what I mean by that is, is that K-Love, I believe at the time, was like the number three station in in the San Antonio market. And that was the highest that they were anywhere else. And they weren't that high anywhere else in any of the big cities, anywhere in the nation as they were in San Antonio.

And I talked to some grassroots leaders about that and because I was again talking about my show and what I was trying to do with, you know, making people aware and we were in the Alack fight back then. If you remember that and the Pastor Protection bill and all that stuff. And I was told by one of the grassroots leaders down in San Antonio, they said, look, the people down here are into the music scene. But they're not into the political scene and they don't see a correlation between the two.

They are happy to just worship God and worship and worship. But when it comes to impacting the city and of course, back then, remember you had the mayor was Julio, whatever his name is, you know, one of the two brothers. Yeah, exactly. So he was the mayor. They were heavily pushing the LGBTQ stuff back then. You know, they were pushing the abortion. I mean, the stuff they were pushing in San Antonio.

And it's still a very liberal minded city. And the Castro's put that in place. And it's because the church, aside from maybe, you know, John Hagee's church as an example, but for the most part, you know, Max Locato's church, and I know you've had a lot of association with that.

You know, at that time, Max Locato was like, you know what? We don't get involved in that. We don't get involved in politics. We don't talk about any of those kinds of things. And the problem with that is, is that Jesus gave us a parable about talents. And he talked about the ten, the five and the one. And he also talked about the five and the three and the one.

He talked about the palates twice. But in both instances, when he talked about the guy with the one talent, his excuse was always, well, you know, we don't know your ways. Your ways are different than our ways. You reap where you don't sow. So, you know, all these kinds of excuses, excuses, excuses. That is in large part the church's deal.

So often you hear the same thing. The same churches that are saying, well, we're waiting for God to come back and clean up the mess are the same ones that will tell you when you ask tough or difficult questions, well, we really can't understand the mind of God. And and what happens to that person, Matt, that that, you know, what does the master tell that person? He takes from them their one talent and he casts them into the place where there's nashing of teeth.

You know, it is one of the things I see in this. And you mentioned we've got the talents, but we are there's nowhere in the New Testament that I can find any reference, whether it be Jesus or Paul or any of the other writers in the New Testament, where they say, all right, when these times come up in the ball and wait for Jesus to come, it's very interesting that that he tells you about putting the armor on. We hear Paul talking about the armor and and the sword and the fight and all that. And yet nowhere in there does it say, OK, at this point, surrender. All right.

Nowhere in there says that we're to keep up the fight into the grave. And I guess the other the other point that I think I would like to make if it will come back into my brain is that, yeah, it just left my brain and that's it. All right. Well, let me let me let me jump in. Yeah, no, no, no.

Let me jump in and just add to that. Let's let's remember something. And you and I talked about this last night and you made you made reference to this. They they were expecting Jesus to return very quickly. They were surprised.

Yeah, they were surprised that he hadn't yet come back. And bear in mind what they were doing while they were waiting for him to come back. Remember that Peter and John were taken and put in prison for preaching Christ. Remember that every single one of them, Stephen was stoned to death for preaching Christ.

OK, they they they went to the Romans. John the Baptist was beheaded because he challenged King Herod and his immoral acts. So let's let's bear in mind the example that we have. Jesus didn't say to John the Baptist, oh, you shouldn't do that because he's a magistrate.

You shouldn't say anything. Jesus never said that. He had every opportunity and he never said it. In fact, he challenged the leadership so much so that the leaders of the Sanhedrin, the Sadducees and the Pharisees who who who argued about a lot of things agreed on one thing, and that one thing was we got to get rid of this Jesus guy. We've got we have got to end this Jesus guy.

He needs to go away because he's a threat to our power, our political power and our influence with the Romans, the Romans are going to take away our position and our power. That's one of the things that's quoted in scripture that they actually said. And then they began what they did. And I know we're going to run right up to our time and you've got a guest coming on and we got to get off. But folks, my final word to you is this. Don't buy into the idea that the church should not be engaged in influencing our culture. You have a mandate from God.

God is my everything and Jesus is the love of my life. That does not make me weak but strong, not silent but bold and not fearful but courageous. Therefore, if you are my friend, while we may not fully agree, know that I share what I share because I care. If you strongly disagree with these beliefs, they are not debatable for me.

And you can, if you choose, unfriend me. I do not say this in anger, but in love. I wish for you eyes to see and ears to hear that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation and that God, not man, gets to decide what is truth, life and the way.
