Welcome to Chosen Generation with your host, Pastor Greg Young.
No topic is off limits, and everything is filtered through biblical classes. And now here's your host, Pastor Greg. Welcome to the program. Great to have you with me. Thank you so much for being here. I know you have a choice of where you can listen each and every day. And I thank you so much for keeping it tuned here to Chosen Generation Radio.
I've got a great, great, great program lined up for you today. At the bottom of hour number two, folks, I have to tell you, you're going to need to brace yourselves for this. There is a new study. George Barna has just put out a very intensive study about millennials in America.
And when you see some of the results of this, 39% of 18 to 24 year olds identify as LGBTQ. On a little bit about what's going on with the Alec Baldwin case and the shooting too. So we'll get that in for you. From the bottom of the hour, for a full hour, we're going to be joined by two of the key whistle blowers, Zach Voorhees and Ryan Hartwig. The Google and Facebook whistle blowers will join us. We'll talk about the O'Keefe thing. We'll talk about brand new big tech censorship, free speech, how big tech now is using new technology to shadow ban you, to mine what's happening with you, to gather information, who's behind it, who's running the show. We'll get into all those things coming up. We'll spend a full hour on that, folks.
You don't want to miss any of that. But I am so excited to have my very first guest with me, Rick Manning, Oftimes co-host with me on Wednesday. And he's taking that position with me again this morning as I host the former secretary of HUD. And it is my sincere pleasure to welcome Dr. Ben Carson to the program.
Dr. Carson, welcome. Good to have you, sir. Thank you. It's always good to be with you. Well, man, oh, man, just a couple of things for us to talk about this morning. Nothing really going on, kind of a dull kind of a weekend. Indeed. Oh, my goodness, my goodness, my goodness. Well, we got some good news late Friday, right?
The Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted on all of his charges. And if you watch that trial at all, it seems to me the evidence was pretty clear. But Dr. Carson, they tried to turn it into this as well was somehow all about race, although it involved nearly entirely all white guys. Well, you know, it's really sad the way that our society right now is engaged so much in identity politics and in trying to stir up problems between different demographics. And you see, you know, elements that are driving wedges between people on the basis of race, religion, sex, income, age, you name it, they're driving wedges. And what they're actually, I believe, trying to do is create the impression that our society is sick, that it is dysfunctional, that it is systemically racist, that we have all of these kinds of problems going on, and that we need to change it. And in order to create the will to change, you have to create the impression that it is tragically wrong. And that's what's going on right now. And but I do believe a lot of people are waking up. And you know, what happened in Virginia a few weeks ago, is a harbinger, I think, Americans are not willing to throw away what we have. Government taking care of you from cradle to grave. And that would be a really big change. It's completely antithetical to the principles of liberty that form this country.
So you got to really press the case in every way that you can. And so it's not surprising that they would take this case and try to use that as well, to somehow foment more hatred and more beliefs that we have a systemically racist system. It's kind of hilarious because the Carl Rittenhouse is not black. The people he shot are not black. And yet there were people who were out there who actually believed that he shot black people, because of the way the story is written by so many on the left. Well, and the only black guy involved was the guy that tried to kick him in the head.
And they kept that guy completely and totally out of the trial. So I mean, it's like, hello, what were they thinking? Well, to your point about people waking up, we're seeing parents waking up all across the country and going into school board meetings and saying, wait, stop teaching my child to hate.
Black parents, white parents, every minority, all different parents are going in and saying, quit trying to teach my kids to hate one another. I think that waking up thing that you mentioned is a real key component right now. Absolutely. And, you know, you stop and think about it. I mean, what makes a person who they are? Is it the color of their skin, the texture of their hair, the shape of their nose? Or is it their brain? And, you know, in a sense, this is what Dr. Martin Luther King was talking about, when he said he dreamt of a day when people would be judged by the content of their character and not the color of their skin.
Why would we reduce ourselves to a simplistic level as to just look at the color of someone's skin? That's what animals do. That's why when you look at an animal brain, the midbrain, it's much better developed than in the human because animals react. But the frontal lobe of the human being is much bigger and better developed, because that's where you engage in a rational thought process.
That's where you engage in extracting information from the past and the present, integrating it into a plan and projecting it into the future. The animals don't have the ability to engage in that, in this case. They can just look at something and react to it. Now we're trying to teach our children to act like animals, and not to use the tremendous the tremendous gift that God gives we're made in the image of God, not in the image of an animal. Isn't that also I've said this for for quite some time that that I really believe that pushing the concept of evolution has has created that because they do the same thing when you think about you know how Planned Parenthood has sunk its claws into our kids. A lot of that is because again, they teach young children and teenagers that you're animals and so therefore you have no self control.
And so therefore, the only net result of that is is you know, you're, you're going to have sex and you're going to get pregnant and you're going to abort that child. But part of that is where there's no source of morality. Right? Right. You become your own source of morality. You mentioned something to me in the in the in the warm up to this too, that I thought was so important for you to share with our audience.
And then I know Rick's got some questions for you that he would like to ask as well. But that had to do with why they keep pushing this divisive, you know, sect kind of thing, you know, your your color of skin, and we've got to divide you and we've got to make you hate one another and so on. But you made a great comment about that. Well, if you want to fundamentally change a society, you have to first convince people that there's something wrong with that society. So when you can use any circumstance and turn it into some sort of a systemic issue about the maladies of that society, then you're furthering that agenda.
And that's why they try to take everything and funnel it into this ideological circumstance. And I think, in a way, you know, what happened with COVID and parents being able to see what's being taught is a blessing, because it was infiltrating our society quietly. And people didn't really understand what was going on. They didn't know what was going on. And now they know. I think people are starting to wake up pretty quickly.
Yeah. And America is very different than a lot of other places. This is a place that is formulated by people who cherish their independence and cherish their freedom. That's why you see so many people, for instance, who are standing up against government mandates. You know, we don't need government mandates. We have the best medical system on the face of the earth. So why wouldn't we let people work with that medical system?
Based on their own individual circumstances, rather than having government bureaucrats dictate what people have to do with their bodies? You know, if we stand for that, we'll stand for anything. Rick, go ahead, please.
Yes, Dr. Carson. First of all, I don't really want to talk about this, but I wanted to thank you for ending the Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing regulation that President Obama put in place, which federalized local zoning, which was a very distinguished local zoning. I really appreciate HUD's efforts to get rid of that. In terms of the broader picture, this week, this Thursday is the 400th anniversary of Thanksgiving. And there's probably been no better example of the attempt by the left to demonize this country's founding than the attack on Thanksgiving.
And it's pretty obvious, but can you talk a little bit about kind of what you Thanksgiving means? Well, you know, we have so much to be thankful for in this country. And you know, the early pilgrims who came here, they actually worked with some of the Indian treasure, the Wampanoag. This is the 400th anniversary coming up. It actually saddens me that we have never officially thanked the Wampanoag tribe for the part that they played in that initial Thanksgiving ceremony, and in subsequent peaceful interaction.
And I think we should. But, you know, think about this country, my wife and I have visited 68 different countries, we've lived overseas. And, you know, some places are very pleasant.
There's no place like here. And we talk about it all the time, being born in this country is like winning the lottery. You know, it doesn't matter where you came from. You know, the circumstances exist here, which will allow you to climb the ladder of opportunity. Now, it doesn't mean it's going to be easy for everybody. But the opportunity exists. And it's one of the reasons that you see so many foreigners come here and excel. Because they say, all I got to do is get an education, all I can do is work hard.
And I can do anything I want to do. And a lot of people who live here don't seem to recognize that. Or they spend a lot of time thinking about who is in their way.
And that's just not right. And I'll tell you something that my mother told me that was so important as a child, that Vincent, if you walk into an auditorium full of racist, bigoted people, you don't have a problem. They have a problem.
Because our friends, you wonder if you're going to sit next to them, where you want. Amen. Amen. Let's we're gonna, we're gonna take a quick break. When we come back, I'd like to talk a little bit more about that and develop that Dr. Carson relative to your time as the HUD Secretary, and how you went about kind of unwrapping that mentality, because we had a horrific event that happened yesterday evening in Waukesha, Wisconsin. And it turns out that that individual had a lot of hate in their heart, based on their concept of racial systemic issues.

Visit ltw.org. Modern life can be confusing. There are many things that used to be called evil that are now called good. And many things that used to be called good are now called evil, or at the very least they are called narrow-minded, intolerant, prejudiced, or old-fashioned.
But such confusion is not new. God once warned the Israelites through the prophet Isaiah about the same thing. Woe to those, God said, who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

I'm your host, Pastor Greg. And we had a tragic, tragic event that took place last night in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Reports are that five died, 40 were injured at a Christmas parade when a man drove his SUV into the crowd and ran over people. Some people are saying that he literally targeted individuals as he was driving through. There's another report that someone said that blocks from it. They tried to report this to the police and to others to try to alert people as to what was going on. Unfortunately, the damage was done and now reports are coming out that give us the name of this person. His name was Darryl Brooks. He was actually out on cash bail.
He had just posted a thousand dollar cash bond and had been arrested just two days before this and then released on a cash bond. And there's a lot of hate in his messages and lyrics and music and all kinds of things. Dr. Carson, you were involved with HUD as the HUD secretary, working on helping people and reestablishing there was opportunity zones was one of the big things that you pushed.
How much did you have to kind of unprogram or deprogram mindsets and thoughts that seemed to be a big part of, you know, what possibly, possibly motivated what happened last night? Well, unfortunately, we have a lot of propaganda being spewed about others. I can remember a number of instances where, you know, I would go to a particular community and people would say to me, including some of the state representatives, I had no idea you were such a nice and reasonable person. What I've always heard is so different because, you know, you have propaganda telling you that these are hateful people and that they're evil and that they want to destroy you. And when you're hearing that day in and day out, you actually begin to believe it.
And it's very problematic. It's one of the reasons that, you know, at American Cornerstone Institute, we started the Little Patriots program, which is a free online course, K through five, which gives the real history of our country. Warts and all, we don't try to hide anything, but puts it in the proper perspective. You know, the fact of the matter is, we have a tremendous country. We've made enormous progress. We don't talk about it because it's almost politically incorrect to talk about the progress and the good things that have happened. But, you know, when I was a kid and a black person came on television and they won a servant, it was a big deal. Everybody called everybody company there, you know, and now you have black generals and admirals and CEOs of Fortune 500 companies and presidents of universities, including Ivy League.
We've had a black president elected twice, black vice president. You know, to say that there's no progress is absolutely ridiculous. It doesn't mean that we don't need to continue to make progress and to understand that, you know, we, the American people, are not each other's enemies. The only way this country can be brought down is internally. A house divided against itself cannot stand. There are those who understand that who want to bring us down.
We've got to be smart enough not to let that happen. Rick. Absolutely. And in the, let's just talk a little bit more about the little papers program, because I think it's really, really important. And as we talked before the break, we are at the 400th anniversary of Thanksgiving. The Pilgrims landed in Plymouth Rock at December of 2020, or 1620, 1619, actually, or 1620, and then had first Thanksgiving right now.
So we're looking at a 400 year anniversary. The New York Times named a project to attack America's founding, the 1619 project for a reason. Because the Pilgrims came here for religious freedom. And that is the foundation. So in terms of a little papers program, it doesn't incorporate the religious aspect of our founding as well as the philosophical aspect of individual freedom, all men created equal.
Yes, very much. In fact, it's built around the four cornerstone pillars of faith, liberty, community, and life. And littlepatriotslearning.com.
It's a free program, because it's been underwritten by some very generous people to make sure that we can get it out there to our young people. But again, you know, when we look at the entirety, the whole picture, we have a lot to be proud of. And you know, the 1619 project tries to focus everything on slavery, and some of the bad parts of our history. The fact of the matter is, every country has things that they're not proud of, because every country is inhabited by people, and people are not perfect.
And that's why we need to save you. But we also need to recognize that slavery has been a part of virtually every society since written history. And there are actually more slaves in the world today than there have ever been in the history of the world. And a lot of such trafficking going on right here in the United States because we have such a huge appetite for it. That should tell us that maybe we need to examine ourselves, examine our hearts, instead of going back 300 years and trying to say these are evil people. Maybe we're the evil people.
Maybe we need some heart cleansing ourselves. Dr. Carson, thank you for that. Thank you so much for sharing it.

The body of Jesus hasn't been found in 2000 years. So the question is, what happened to that body? Who moved the stone and took the body? Some people say, oh, the disciples did it.
Really? They lacked the moral courage, the physical strength to overcome 16 highly trained Roman soldiers. No, the disciples lacked the courage and ability to steal it.
The Romans and Jews lacked the motivation to steal it. The person who moved that stone was God himself. God reached down and rescued his son from the grave, proving that he had the ability to conquer death. The empty tomb proves that Jesus Christ conquered death, just as he said. Today's Pathway Minute is provided by your station and Pathway to Victory. To hear the Bible teaching of Dr. Robert Jeffress, go to ptv.org.
