Anyway, I want to welcome Michelle Swinix to my program, Everything Home. Michelle, you highlight these kinds of interviews that I did, the kind that I do on my show.

You do on your show, you condense them down to seven minutes and you give people a platform to share what they do and to touch and impact lives. Welcome. You got that right, correct, sir. Thank you so much for having me on PG, the infamous PG in the house. Oh, I should say I'm in your house, right? You're coming on my show.

I want to say thank you when you come on my show because I ask my kindergarten questions about God and faith and spirituality, religion, and you're so patient and kind. And you're always like, oh, Michelle, your questions are so remedial. I do never say that.

It's like a little child. I said, PC, help me. It's been so long since I went to Catholic school at PCD and I learned nothing.

They told me nothing. Oh my goodness. Well, let's start out by talking a little bit about, because how long have you been doing Everything Home? I started that in 2018 because I had a real radio show. Remember when you used to go down to the station, you used to pay four grand a month and then there was somebody who, you know, you could listen on the radio with your car.

And then of course, you know, that was back in 2002, three, four, five. And then, you know, that wonderful 2008 rolled around and all of a sudden you look around and you're like, wow, I think I need to figure out where I'm going to get my next dollar for food, no less go on play on a radio station. And then, um, people were talking about this podcast podcast. What is, what do you talk about with pod? What are the podcast? And then I realized it was a radio, but it was like on the internet.

I went, well, uh, cause the only reason why I never went back on the air barrier to injury was the car. And then I found out that podcast, the one that I, the one that I found out about through block talk radio was $39. I said, I'm sorry, what? Did you say 39? Did you say $39 instead of 4,000?

I just sold and then I started the show the next day. And so yeah, 39 bucks. Okay.

So I'm signing off and I'm going to go do the $39 podcast thing. I don't know. Yeah. Wow. Yeah.

Wow. So what gave you, what about concept? Because you have a very unique concept with what you do. It's not, um, it's, it's, it's not talk radio, you know, in the sense of traditional, you know, the host does all the conversation. It's not, you know, long form interview.

It's, it's very niche, I think. And, and, um, and it just moves. It just, it moves, it moves, it moves. And, but you get so much packed into a program. So talk to me about, um, how you develop that concept that you do.

Well, I'll, I'll take a couple of steps back first. So when I first started doing it, I was doing the traditional long form interviews where I would record them and then I would edit them and then, uh, you know, produce them and send them out maybe that week, maybe week and a half later. But it was taking too long cause I was editing it myself, which is the dumbest thing on the planet. Always outsource. It is my biggest, my tip of the day, never edit your own shows, outsource it.

It's ridiculously cheap. You lose money by just even thinking about clicking the edit button. So, um, when I send it out to a production company, it was like a week, week and a half and I'm like, wow, that's too long. I mean, it's old news by then, you know, and I figured we got to speed this up. Um, I don't want to edit and I need to make sure that I have more people because I need to reach more people. Plus then I want to have more diversity of topics because what if someone tunes in for one topic and they're thinking, oh, I would never even think about listening to whatever that other topic of conversation is. But then when they listen to it, they're like, wow, I'm so glad I listened to that today because I only have an hour and I just got five different guests that have five different topics that actually are something of value. So last November I said, all right, let's just, let's just make this thing completely out of control. So five guests, seven minutes segments and it's various topics to grow your business, enhance the quality of your life and make a difference, especially in your communities.

So if you only have an hour a day, I'm going to throw everything at you. I call it the three legged stool of life because you've got business, you've got life and you've got community, which are the three things that we need to focus on. Some might have a balance in that because look, if we, a perfect example, you've got a little too much business and you don't have really focusing on things in your life.

You're still a little sturdy, it's a little off. And then if we don't focus on our community, which obviously look what we have to deal with now and clean up if it's even possible to clean it up. We took our eye off the ball for a while because we were focusing on life and business and when they're on the community, it's a disaster. So you need a little bit of each thing in order to have that balance. Um, you know, be like an awesome person and don't forget, we put the spirituality, put the faith, put God with the religion that's actually in the life category. And it bleeds into, it bleeds, and actually it's the only one that really bleeds into all three.

Then it bleeds into community. And then of course, you know, once you throw that into your business, it's amazing how things change. And we've talked about that on the show where the people that have come on my show and it's, and let me, let me, let me, um, let me back up one second.

Uh, and the reason why you mentioned no long form interviews. So what happened was I started meeting some really amazing people, you know, some of those, you know, famous people, you know, the people that everybody wants to tune in and listen to. And I said, well, where am I going to put these people on? I'm already Monday, Wednesday, Friday with five guests, seven minute segments.

And I, uh, I, where am I going to put these people on? I can't add another day of the show because then I can't get any work done. So I added a second hour, which is insane that I did it. I added that second hour to the show. So then, uh, we're live from 12 to 1 PM Pacific time for those five guests. And then the second hour I did stick in the long form interviews. Uh, so sometimes it's one people, one person, sometimes it's two, sometimes we jam in three. So I have, now I have a blend.

I have like a blended family. So we, uh, we hit them on all aspects and you've been on both. You've been on the seven minutes multiple times.

You're right. Like I try to drag you on once a month, but you're so busy and you're so Mr. VIP. Sometimes he just doesn't have the time to come on my little show. Cause you know, he's on all these major stations, terrestrial radio stations all over the planet earth.

We've done a Wednesday worship warrior too. So, uh, I had the pleasure of dragging you on the show many a time. So I know it's a mouthful, but that's, that's the gist. You can get entrepreneurs, small business owners, nonprofit organizations, influencers. I literally use the word politicians. Um, I only pick certain ones that meet the threshold. There's not very many, as far as I'm concerned, the elected or lead are all in leadership positions. Very, uh, very few are leaders. Um, and then, uh, you know, purpose driven people, you know, people that are doing something for good, good people doing good business and good things.

Uh, PG is one of them. So, uh, mouthful. Well, you, no, no, no. You, that was, that was outstanding. That was outstanding. Tell me, okay. Ah, yeah. See, and you talk about me coming up for a breath.

First thing she says, she's meant to listen to your show live. When do you take a breath? Come on. You know, I was trying to get through, uh, the, the prayer that I had, uh, that I had prayed and folks, I encourage you. I just put it back up on the blog. Uh, the authors of that prayer are Ken and Sylvia Thornburg of freedom encounters. And they shared that with me and asked me to share it as often as I could. And, and so I shared it actually at the, uh, health freedom expo in Illinois that I went to Michelle.

And as a direct result of that, uh, uh, Dr. Sherry Tenpenny actually was received a healing at the event right there as we were praying together. And, uh, and so I felt led to share it again on air. And of course you, you, you heard that, but, uh, so you're on now Tuesdays and Thursdays is, is your, is the form Monday, Friday, Monday, Friday.

I'm so sorry. Monday, Friday, the format that you originated the seven minute, the five guests, seven minute format, right? Yeah. Monday and Friday, the show starts at 12 PM Pacific time. That's Pacific time. It's going to change. Cause you know, in Arizona, I'm in Maricorruption County, Arizona, for those of you just tuning in.

Maricorruption County and that's anarchy, Arizona, anarchy, Arizona. You know, we had a little something called an audit by a couple of weeks ago. You might, somebody might've heard about it, but in Arizona, we don't change our clocks. We do rig our elections, right? We do that. We'd actually, we burn our ballots and there's many other things that we do, but we don't change our clocks. We're going to go to mountain time, which is ridiculous, but that's just how it works. It will send you to all of the stuff that she is involved in. So Michelle, we talked a little bit about you were in radio in the early 2000s. You were doing the same thing. Look, I was paying over three grand a month just to be on an AM station in one market. And sadly, they had some equipment issues. So, you know, it got to where the show was like if you walked out the front door, you couldn't probably hear it.

So it was pretty bad. But God has blessed us to be able to, you know, increase that and do some other stuff, which has been very nice. But tell me, what got you into radio? Let's start with that. How did you get into radio? I like to talk.

Okay, that's not an answer. I like to talk. Well, I just figured, you know, since you finally came up for air from that beautiful prayer that you did, you would appreciate the fact that sometimes when you just start going, you start going. But I guess there was always an attachment to trying to, believe it or not, like help people and get messages out there and sharing people's stories, listening to people's stories because stories are so great.

Stories meaning something from an educational standpoint, but also from inspiration and from spirituality and from even information on how to get your business to the next level. So I always just would enjoy conversations with human beings and to an extent where people would tell me things. They would tell me things that they don't normally tell people and I'd be like, wow, why are you telling this?

Like, I'm not a priest, nor are you an attorney. So just letting you know, I might repeat this, you know, it's not confidential. And from there, I just realized, you know what, that's what I should be doing is sharing those stories and giving people what I call, I labeled myself the queen of quality content because I also, I'm really good at pulling information out of people and making their messages even condensed and using even analogies so that people can understand even a little bit more confidently. Even a little bit more complex things. So I will try to simplify some of these more difficult topics that even I can't get my arms around when, like I said, I'm asking my kindergarten questions because there's a lot of people that have kindergarten questions and maybe they don't, they don't feel like they can ask or they're embarrassed to ask. Because they're like, well, that would just be stupid.

And I just throw myself on the sword during every episode. I said, all right, I'll be beginning. I'll just throw it out there because I know that there's millions of other people that have the same questions.

So go ahead, make an arse out of me. I'll do it. No problem. I have no problem with that.

All right. So you like getting information out. But when did you originally like first begin that? Because I was looking online and it looks like you were involved in real estate as a mortgage broker at one point. So you're going back to like the resume. Well, I want to know, hey, how do we figure out who Michelle Swinnick is if we can't go back in time just a little bit and talk about, you know, some of the stuff that you've done and then what got you there?

Yeah. Well, back in the day, I did start in real estate. I moved to Arizona in 97.

I was a transplant originally. I grew up in New Jersey. I'm a Jersey girl at heart.

It is what it is. You take the girl out of Jersey. You can't take the Jersey out of the girl. You know what I mean? So then I went out to college in California because I always wanted to go to college.

Always, always, always. And I was like, oh, you just want to get out of New Jersey? So that I'm like, oh, I love California. I just want to go there. Well, then, and I went to Pepperdine University in the lovely Malibu, California. So, you know, that was just still haven't hit the real world yet because that's a bubble, which was an awesome bubble to be in, right?

You can pick anywhere to be. That's why I did not want to be there. And then a year after, I realized, wow, there's no money.

I'm not making any money. I liked my old bubble. Parents said, Shell, no more little extra cash for you. And I was like, whoa, got to move. Okay, well, we got to get the heck out of Dodge because it is too expensive in California if nobody's thrown me a little stipend.

And then got to Arizona and I'm here and started a real estate and then moved over to mortgages, had my own mortgage brokerage, started a nonprofit.
